great and wonderful and beautiful. 1872 is SUCH a time period to be replicating the fashions of. absolutely gorgeous. vampires are inherently pretty too. however they have exactly Zero defining features other than vampire so have fun with that.

this would go SO hard. shepherd girl-esque outfits and humanoid fantasy creatures are both ren fest staples and i am just reiterating how UNNECESSARILY HARD THIS WOULD GO. no complaints. perfect.

i mean. iconic. beautiful for sure. however as we have discussed, summer is ren fest season, and not being together during summer is kinda their whole thing. also they're maybe the least forgetmenauts-y couple on this list bc its a retelling.

the summer king and his husband- 9/10

breathtaking. the summer king music video is so gorgeously beautiful. -1 point because in said music video the summer king does not have legs. if you're a wheelchair user disregard that last segment its an 11/10 for you. 

gay werewolfs- 2/10

if you want to either wear fursuits or do the most low effort unrecognizable cosplay ever these are the fellows for you! they have even less defining features than helena and gerard, i don't even know how you would successfully cosplay them. 

charlatan in red & foxbride- 3/10

i would LOVE to see people's interpretations of the foxbride. however a ren fest is probably not the place for that. i also feel like perhaps drawings would be better than a human for portraying that. the phrase "charlatan in red" evokes a lot of ren fest vibes though so idk!

now this may not fully fit the theme of ren fest but i personally would love to do this. get that sunday best into rags and tatters and dirty yourself up. the outfits would be great and it definitely wouldn't be the weirdest things there.

I was going through louis solo account and it was mentioned about adore you video was director idea and Harry went with the director choice and used louis to promote his music at that time.. they are also furious that H never acknowledge 1D or louis.. I was trying to wrap my head around what exactly they are trying to say, do they think harry would create this whole video with exactly visuals as louis the fish book when he is does not want to acknowledge 1D or louis(according to them) and that too for promo.. not sure how do they defend when louis put name 'Style' in Miss you video..

Yes, the director for the Adore You video has said that he had the idea of the fish. But he never said his idea was based on that book.

Here’s what I wrote at the time we discovered the book. I tend to believe Harry gave Dave Myers a brief, Dave had this general idea, and then there was further conversation to develop the idea. There are some pretty obvious connections to the book, so I’d be surprised if it didn’t come up in conversation.

As for not acknowledging 1D or Louis, specifically, they really need to get a new thing to complain about because at this point they sound like complete morons.

King Horan dog really is cheating the system by using Spotify's Auto-Play feature. His sudden jump in streams is the result of it. I've seen a few non fans complaining about his song playing right after they listen to their fav artist's songs.

His music video tanked. Over 24 hours and it still only has 600k views. On US itunes the song is currently at #93 and free falling, it is NOT charting ANYWHERE on Apple Music US. It is #146 on Apple Music worldwide, #31 on iTunes worldwide....

BUT the song climbed over 130 spots on Global Spotify Charts to be #22 and US Spotify Charts to be at #25 with new daily highs. He is shamelessly cheating using that feature to increase his streams and bragging on all his social media platforms about the new positions. If his streams are authentic and orginal his positions on other charts like Apple Music and iTunes should reflect that. But it does not!!! Heaven is falling down rapidly on all other charts except on Spotify. Clear sign of cheating to increase the streams.

Dotson says, "It was the perfect opportunity to put our 3 “band chihuahuas” in the video as the K-9 Unit. We found an old audio parts manufacturing lab in East LA and it was the perfect location for our crime lab." The plot-based video posed new challenges, like having to recruit multiple characters other than themselves for the first time. Reading the article rn and one of the things that boils my nuts, that really fucking burns them suckers, is this shit all of the fucking corporate scum do now. Nintendo set the precedent. it's when they takedown videos and other footage for "Containing their copyright." The second biggest fucking cunt in this is SEGA SAMMY Atlus, going so far as to stop people from even recording or taking videos of many of their popular games on the fucking consoles themselves. This idea that any company OWNS a fucking video, regardless of whether there's commentary or not, just because it's of their "Property" is pure fucking thuggery. These fucking video and stream regulations all these fucking charlatans release for every new game is pure bullshit and the normalization of it, like everything in the games industry, is because aggressive cunt fucks like Nintendo and Sega rammed their chodes so far down and created a "Well at least it's not [x]" fallacy. Same shit as microtransactions. Same shit as battle passes and season passes and fucking whatever else these bastards are doing. Square Enix took one of my streams down for days, no notifying me or anything btw, just because it had "copyrighted" music in it. Great cool. Fuck me I guess. Nothing else actually mattered therein, it was purely about controlling what I was able to do w/ a product I've bought MULTIPLE TIMES.

Pixies/Modest Mouse/Cat Power playing the outside arena wins, which I think is the most plausible even though The Pixies have been playing nostalgia tours for twenty years.

Other options of concerts Jess might have attended in 2024 that did not make this list:

Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid (they played the baseball stadium): rejected because I think those bands were too mainstream for Jess to have listened to them in his youth and also because Billie Joe is annoying

Taking Back Sunday (The Fillmore): again,maybe a bit too mainstream

OAR (Mann Theater): Okay, just because I love them doesn't mean Jess would. They're probably too pop for him although they do long jam numbers.

The Avett Brothers (Mann Theater): Again, I love them, but they are an alt country act. Sure, they're a country band that thinks they're a punk band a lot of the time but I'm not sure that suffices.

Jason Isbell/Aimee Mann (The Met): rejected because I hate Isbell due to a beef that is entirely local in nature. Anyway, not his type of music.

St Paul and the Broken Bones (The Fillmore): again, not really his type of music. I really wanted to include them because they are locals and they are fantastic live but I cannot convince myself of this.

Sarah McLachlan/Feist (Mann Theater): He'd have to be dragged by a girlfriend and I chose Mitski for that option instead.

Matthew Sweet (World Cafe Live): uh, maybe. I think Jess would recognize that Girlfriend is a classic for the ages.

Bleachers (The Met): Is he too old to be into them? Are they too pop? IDK. Maybe he uses Doula as an excuse. This is the band of Taylor Swift producer Jack Antonoff, formerly of Fun.

Metal and Beer Fest (The Fillmore): This sounds like a fun time but I did not recognize any of the bands.

Grace Potter (The Fillmore): He should go if he knows what's good for him, because Grace Potter is awesome if a bit retro.

Hardcore At The Pier (Graffiti Pier): I watched some videos. He is too old to attend this.

The Charlatans/Ride (Union Transfer): I'm not sure he likes iconic 90s shoegaze bands.

Laura Jane Grace (Underground Arts): Not a fan myself, though he might be. Not enough to go on.
