#the brick or a 500k vn

today i learned that the book commonly called ‘the brick’ isn’t actually that long
#my posts#bookblogging#kind of??#i looked up its word count and its like over 500k#which isn't as much as i expected#like any vn worth its salt nowadays is around 350-400k#and the best ones are over 700k#so now im wondering which would take longer to read#the brick or a 500k vn#bc vns have music animations and voice acting all of which increase the playtime#and adv is the most common format which also takes longer to read#since it only displays a couple lines at a time#but then again reading a book is 100x more draining for me#so if we go by the actual hours spent reading it might take less#but if we go by days or weeks it'd prob take longer#a 500k fic would take the shortest amount of time tho#since theyre both easy to read and they hold my attention really well#and when im in the zone i rarely feel the need to take breaks#unlike with vns or books or games or pretty much anything else#interesting
