Disclaimer, it's totally fine if you have differing opinions than me, I am simply just thinking and these are some things I've come up with over the years :)

Also sorry if these are a bit more Robin centric, Robin is very much on the brain rn

- Nancy started having feelings for Robin around mid season 4 (specifically during the infamous speech scene)

-This isn't specifically a hc, but I've always liked the "Robin fell first, Nancy fell harder" idea that I've seen in a lot of fics. I feel like it rings true for their characters.

- That being said, Robin started having feelings for Nancy a little bit after the events of season 3. I like to think they crossed paths a couple times, but Robin was really flustered around her and Nancy thought Robin just didn't like her, so she was kind of standoffish. I think this is the reasoning Nancy and Robin are not exactly fast friends at the beginning of season 4

-Nancy loves when Robin speaks in different languages around her. Nancy has even picked up a little Spanish and French because of how often Robin switches languages.

-Robin is deeply touched (and also a little flustered) when Nancy responds to her using small little phrases in different languages that she's picked up from listening to her talk.

-Robin is the first person Nancy let herself cry in front of in a long time.

-Their relationship started off as a friendship, but after Vecna was defeated and Hawkins was back to semi-normality, Robin, driven mad by the idea that there may be something more to her and Nancy's relationship than just friendship, knocks on her door in the middle of the night and straight up asks her in a stereotypical confession-in-the-rain scene. Maybe I'll write this later 🤔

-Nancy is (usually) the big spoon.

-Robin loves to read out loud to Nancy and have conversations about the kind of books Robin is reading. They start a mini bookclub <3

-When they both graduate high school, Robin invites Nancy to France, which once was Robin's big plan to escape Hawkins in Rebel Robin. Nancy picked up enough French from Robin to get by relatively easy through the city. They love the trip and have a great time 🥹

the immortality concept in tgcf is always interesting to think about, especially with the age range that the human mind cannot really comprehend... but maybe it's best for me not to think too much about it at midnight when i have uni early in the morning 😞😭 there are a lot of thoughts tho

you described the dynamic i had in mind for them perfectly!! mq's way of showing care by scolding and nagging and teasing that at time could come out as a touch too sharp. lqq's of being loud when defending and engaging into banter but keeping it light and not taking the teasing too close to heart unless it comes to his morality stands. they just weirdly compliment one another, especially with the way you said lqq takes the spotlight on the stage while mq is more "behind the curtain" type when dealing with things. you're so right, thinking about them makes me deranged as well

i do feel like the gods would be more vocal about the dislike towards mq when he was still a young god, and yeah especially those 33. while mq we see is well respected, and still very much disliked and distrusted, it is mq of 800+ years of presence in the heavenly court, and i do think many would be tight lipped around him regarding whatever his business are. but thinking about the backlash he would be facing during their earlier years/ centuries of friendship, i think they would be more vocal about it, if a bit sneaky with the way they would talk considering mq's temper with fx and general reputation that has been following him. 🤔 and well... there's also the broom throwing thing that has been going on apparently :'))

and he would definitely be on the bigger receiving end of it than lqq, especially considering their backgrounds and what the heaven considers "right". while lqq may be considered naive, he is still a noble that technically belongs in a way mq never could in their eyes.

but lqq still not standing by the bullying, even during the 'fight' is ekejjejejeej especially because i lqq knows that bullying is wrong no matter who's at the receiving end and, parallel to the mulian situation, there would be no shielding behind the higher authority to make it stop, just a very straightforward way to handle it. and i feel like mq, even if he is somewhat even struggling to admit he's miserable without lqq, would feel extremely touched knowing the way lqq would handle it 🥹🥹

no shade at mulian, literally my fave ship ever! i talk about them so much to my friends i feel like all of our brains are fried at this point lol they can fit so much angst and there are honestly dozens of ideas for fics that would likely never see the light of the day but we have the hope cuz we're all delusional 😔✊

just the parallels between them make me absolutely crazy, especially since i always kinda pictured mq as a type to get particularly adopted by the idealistic "sunshine type" people around him and get dragged around while he scowls and acts like he doesn't enjoy it, and then eventually ending up genuinely liking them, no matter how much they would clash at times with their ideologies. xl, sqx, i have an ongoing rants about mq and qyz friendship every other week. kinda pissed off that i didn't remember lqq until recently but it's never too late to start the brainrot anyway

i also went and checked the extras qianqing interaction, and it was actually mq seeing that lqq was in an awkward position being both the victim and the culprit and trying to send him back to heaven (it was the extra chapter where xl felt pain bcs of the guoshi mask he melted into a key?? i only searched for their names so again i have no idea/) but that was enough to have me covering my mouth and squealing

no at this point i will have to write *something* about qianqing, it would literally eat at me alive if i don't. life is busy and hard rn, but it will have to be done in this lifetime 😭

Mq has always given me the sense that he seeks out people with more emotional freedom than he feels he has. He spends so much of his time showing restraint and being distant that whenever I read sections of the book where Fu Yao makes an appearance, I see the way he lets his personality come out more. Maybe choosing the name “Fu Yao” was (among other reasons) mq’s way of literally saying he’s giving himself more freedom.

So like— it makes sense that mq has a pattern of associating with people who express themselves so freely— even if he sometimes takes shots at those people (mostly fx but also occasionally xl). Lqq is entirely unrestrained in a way that’s familiar but still unique. He’s one of the few gods who would step in or stand up for another without any ulterior motives— there’s nothing lqq would want to gain by standing up for mq in their early years. Whether he’s still angry with mq or not— it’s the right thing to do and that’s enough for him.

Meanwhile I feel like mq hates feeling like he’s once again being seen to hide behind another prince for protection. Mq likes to be in control of his circumstances— even if he could ask for help.

“I don’t need anyone fighting my battles.”

“No— but someone should have your back.”

Maybe that’s what it is about them actually? Lqq is so quick to jump up and declare injustice that mq thinks lqq would be trying to shield him when lqq is actually trying to advocate for his better treatment. Lqq learned the importance of unity and he practiced it well before ascending, so his type of support might be less about defending mq personally and more about shaming the gods for not setting a better example. Maybe he doesn’t even give mq the option to hide behind him.

(Related note, I can’t help thinking this type of tension would rise if lqq caught mq throwing a broom or snapping it in half— like ofc lqq is still mad but ofc he’s gonna try and connect the dots— maybe he even heard some of the gods laughing about their “gifts” to the young General.)

But okay now I’m thinking about the extra you mentioned and oooooooo

Mq confronting lqq in the mortal realm and failing to convince him to return to heaven. It’s a side of lqq mq has never seen. He’s not driven by a sense for justice anymore, now lqq wants revenge— maybe mq tells him that. Maybe it only angers lqq more. Either way, lqq doesn’t return.

(I actually have a similar scenario in my brain between lqq and newly-mortal pei xiu, which was actually the idea that got me started in qianxiu rarepair hell but that’s a separate space altogether LMAO)

Anyway—! If writing is too exhausting given life’s demands I am always happy to keep exploring these deranged (affectionate) scenarios. Life persists, but so does the brainrot!

I am incredibly brainrotted and tho I am sorry for the brainrot info dump I also lmao feel the need to let you know the mental tomfoolery that occurs and that I think of regularly when I imagine Ambroy as now I more so affectionately tormenting him through the oc I mentioned whos still alive through means of my own brain coming up with stuff (came up with some whole ass lore trying to make the oc who is technically a human kinda oc actually like fit and belong in ambroys world so what animal anthro they'd become, why he might be nice once(spoilers I imagined it was for selfish reasons) ect) as Ambroy gets older they become more confident because like plenty of time passes gotta have some character growth and it makes sense with the imaginary lore I have lmao and is just a bit of a lil shit now unfortunately (for Ambroy) tho still devoted and still adoring him cause pretty unicorn who did a good deed once go brrr but they will also go "hmmm maybe if you're so worried you'll let me have a pound of flesh" if he made a comment of being fat around them in reference to some shakespeare thing I think I know something has a gimme a pound of flesh storyline and also because said oc is gonna be a carnivorous species naturally so a lil playful eat threat that they'd never actually do and probably flirting also (in their own special way) cause affectionately annoy the unicorn for talking bad about himself lightly bite him without breaking skin (biting is a love language at least for them lmao) and lick cause the oc (who for better or for worse is a girl idk if that'd make Ambroy more or less chill) is just a bit gross but also idk he might enjoy the attention from big strong woman who can probably manhandle him a little and who I imagine has rather large paws (size differences?? In my imagined mental scenarios? It's more likely than you think). Being that she has been with him for a few hundred years he's probably used to her, they probably have a very weird relationship at this time cause hm still devoted and loyal but also has more confidence and a personality for herself. I don't like that. But also the added confidence means she pays even more attention to me in ways others may be too nervous. I don't mind that at times. But also won't let me tap. (I imagine she has a joke of "one day ill let you have me" just affectionately winding him up cause he probably doesn't like that it's forbidden like "excuse me?? Not for me?? I CAN'T have?? There must be some mistake." Oc has some dignity she's saving herself lmao for what or who idk I think she just enjoys being a dick)

Like my brain thrives off it cause its in my opinion so funny like when your scary dog priveleges backfire cause they never fucking die and now scary big strong friend has confidence cause they've gotten cocky and can man handle you (very easily!) but gently however they are still devoted and admire you endlessly, I can just see ambroy like you can't just come in here argue with me about my appearance threaten to bite me DARE touch and kiss my exposed flesh and then LEAVE???? (and honestly, I don't think she's here to try to fix this fictional man.. She might be here just to cause problems and could make him worse by being a powerhouse on his side as that is not good for anyone for him to have that ego boost. Tho I do think she is also here to adore him even if she shouldn't like she gets one problematic man as a treat and I feel like there's potential for just a smidge of soft cause as much as playful nasty tension is funny I love me a bit of soft cause the mental image of her just holding ambroy if he's at a low point staying at his side holding him in a dark quiet room hugging him close to her body warming him popped into mind and urghh its about the unwavering devotion and the need for physical closeness and touch in a moment of desperation and loneliness(and the devastating denial of it happening later *mwah* beautiful))

I just loved reading this, had a big grin on my face the whole way through! I'm so spoiled with this great buffet of my dipstick of a horse getting clowned on repeatedly.

This character being a woman would make him less chill, unfortunately (or fortunately?); much like the unicorns of myth he's very girl-crazy. He doesn't care so much about virginity status, but he DOES go nuts when a girl plays hard to get since he's an entitled brat. What do you mean he can't have a shiny new toy? That means he wants it more! HUFF SNORT etc. Her teasing him with biting and licking at the same time would make it worse. Talk about mixed signals! He's not smart enough to disentangle those!

Ambroys' DnD/aasimar version has a secret shameful thing for sexy monster women, sooo I can imagine him being perhaps similarly taken with a huge, strong carnivore as well. :P Take that as you will.

I really like how you imagine the dynamic developing from her being a bit more of a doormat at first to growing a spine and pushing back against him more as she gets more confident. Though young!Ambroys doesn't really respect anybody (at most, he fears people), as he gets on in years he starts to understand and value things like loyalty. Still a selfish greedy git, natch, but I could see him growing to appreciate her acts of service and dedication more as the decades rolled on, even with the taunting. Or perhaps especially because of it. Thinking on the canon love interests he's had over his life, he tends to be most attached to the women who gave him a little (or a lot) of pushback now and again. He does seem to want a bit of a challenge from the people he's close to, even if he doesn't realize it. I think it's part of what allows him to (sort of) conceptualize someone as a person instead of a faceless NPC in the background of his life (have I mention he's a stupid selfish git yet). Or maybe it makes the times they don't push back feel more genuine and satiates his bottomless appetite for admiration just a little more.

Anyway, I think once he got old enough, he'd enjoy the back and forth of the denial back to affection back to the taunts about letting him "have" her one day. Having a few hundred years on him helps with learning how to delay gratification. Of course, I think his younger self would enjoy the game as well, even if it would also make him mad with frustration and cause temper tantrums. He enjoys the chase more than the actual conquest sometimes.

(Also your scenario about holding him is extremely cute, aaw. He'd appreciate having that in his low points. In the story's canon, at his worst and lowest point in life, he's all alone. It's his fault of course, but still...!)

Anyway, I'm babbling on, but thanks so much for sharing more of your ideas! As I said before I'm hugely flattered and touched that my silly character spoke to you so much. It's all a humble imaginary friend maker like me can ask for!

To all the BC characters I've simped for + confession of a Faust simp

To be honest most of the characters were meh for me at the beginning and by ‘meh’ I mean that they do not spark that strong brainrotting simping in me. Not that they are bad, rather they check some criteria that I consider likeable but also checks some unlikable ones. BUT MAN DO THE FAUST TWINS AWAKEN SOMETHING IN ME.

*cough* Anyways. I’ll start with the characters I liked first. And save the Faust for last.

1. Julius Novachrono

Look at this man. The hair, the eyes, the face-. I mean he’s handsome. Yes. Not only that he is also a good leader. Who doesn’t like a good leader with loyal followers who would fight for your ideals? I liked his character for that. He also has the wisdom and strength to back up his position so those are big check marks.

The only thing the made me swipe left was the fact that he turned into a baby. Now I feel so bad. Please bring back daddy Julius. Baby Julius feels so weird to simp for🤧🤧🤣

2. William Vangeance

He's an adorable baby boy imma squish those baby cheeks and give him smooches. I just find him cute, and the scars barely bother me. Biggest turn-off  was he shares a body with Patry. Look, I don’t share my men. Back off Patry, I'm the one who should be shared, haha🤣.

But William and Patry's Jap voices are sexy tho so I forgive them. I can’t brainrot for him because he is sidelined in the Spade arc. Maybe if he gets a time to properly shine it will ignite the intense flames of simp.

3. Mereoleona Vermillion

-She could smash me hard with her calidus brachium barrage and I won’t complain. -I love a strong woman okay!? -Cute toothy grin -I don’t dislike anything about her really, but she would burn me alive let’s be honest.

4. Nacht Faust/Morgen Faust (These two are a package deal. Don’t separate). The man who made me create a tumblr blog for, create an OC for, and do other stuff I didn’t expect I would do for him.

Hoo boy~ did I actually resist the devil's temptation for him. I would've brainrotted for this man last year if only last year wasn't my thesis year in college. So I held back the simp only so that I could focus. And how right was I when I told myself that. Because now I’m drowning in rot.

As the story goes; One day I was eating my sandwich when I first saw him in the anime and I was like "okay, he's sexy" then I move on peacefully with my sandwich. But I saw his backstory in the manga and that was when my sandwich fell on the ground. I flipped my table so hard and began screaming, "Oh SH*T he became sexier!"

Plus my heart aches for the boy of morning light, Morgen, augh😭. Cinnamon roll too sweet and too good. Tabata did you dirty sweetie.

The tragedy and angst that surrounds this man makes my brain go crazy. And as an OC fanatic, the potential to create an even tragic spice by making an OC for the Fausts seals the deal for me.

And the rest is history...

For the previously mentioned characters, I can’t bring myself to create content for them but I do consume. So I lurk around Julius and William x OC/reader content too.

In the beginning he would be the most clumsiness man when it comes to flirting, why? Because he can't help himself, he wants to try and impress you, but something always goes wrong

Sometimes it's Connie who just drops the most embarrassing story out of the blue, sometimes Sasha just being Sasha and steal his food infront of you and he would try not to be way tok perplexed, sometimes it's just Erens presence which would irritate him or him stuttering in the end and the tips of his ears flushing red

But nevertheless at some point he will be just so damn smoothe and enter your precious heart

Jean would treat you like the most precious human being alive, he would be gentleman, loving, caring, take you out for dates, but never when you just don't feel like it

Dates staying in? The most wholesome ones, he would fund anything to do, drawing something, maybe even you, doing face masks, reading, watching a movie anything you want

And he would also treasure any moment with you, you smiling at him? Tattooed in his brain. You calling him pretty or handsome? He is swooning. You cooking for him, no matter what? That man is so ready to go on one knee. You caring for him? Him dying on the inside. You eating and your cheeks slightly puffing? Someone check his heart for me please.

You and him? Wholesome. Wholesome. Wholesome.

you're not supposed to be breathing, you stopped a long time ago. so, why are you alive? the way your heart thumps inside your chest feels like a dream.

you glance to meet those very same teal eyes you've stared into so many times before. albedo, you want to cry out and embrace him but you can't find the strength to lift your limbs.

he extends his hand to your cheek, "shhh, it's okay. welcome home, [Y/N]." a soft caress but his hand lacks warmth, it's strangely cold.

your intuitions scream at you; they begin to claw at you from the inside. something is off and you can't place your hands on it as you rack through your hazy mind. so many questions you want to ask, so many things you want to say — until the moment your gaze drifts down from his mesmerizing eyes to his neck.

the diamond marking.

it's not there.

'albedo' smiles, "what's wrong, hm?" oh-so innocently he does but you're not comforted by it, not one bit.

fear paralyzes you by storm but you manage to inch away from him. no, he is not your albedo.

growing weak has its disadvantages but to bring you, albedo is willing. yet, at the same time, one of those disadvantages includes a predator hiding in hindsight, waiting for the right moment to pounce. now that the oh-so perfect subject has let down his guard, it's time for the discarded one to shine now.

tldr: albedo has grown significantly weaker after reviving you and primodial albedo uses this exact situation to his advantage, overempowering the original and replacing the place he should've gotten.

hm, what happened to the original? that's only for him to know. after all, it's thanks to you and the original's blind devotion that he finally got to take his rightful place. ha, foolish lovers.

ah, yes enemies to lovers with heizou ... i am thinking very hard, thoughts are being thunk rn, somebody help. (/lh) heizou and his witiness. his pretty olive eyes. his fluffy hair with that headband of his. bantering with him playfully. taking walks around inazuma and stumbling upon the most random of adventures. i am perfectly alright.

although !! i've actually never done like an actual long fic or a series with chapters before. headcanons have always been my forté but maybe, i should try branching out more??? hehe, we'll see ;D
