I survived Peter Pan! The sewing marathon that was making those three dresses was enough to take me out of commission for a few days. It's a new week and I'm back! I'm definitely on Sleeve Island at the moment, there's something about the smaller circumference that's killing my motivation.

Speaking of islands, this project will have to go on hold for a bit because I'm going on vacation and I need a smaller project for traveling. I'm leaning towards the My Little Secret Crop from Jessie Maed Designs; I've made it a few times and it's a simple tube for most of it.

And in a move that should surprise no one, I'm also doing some pre-vacation sewing. I have three swimsuits cut out and partially sewn. I find that making my own swimsuits is really empowering! It gets me out of my own head about my measurements and reframes it as data that's necessary for making something that'll fit. The first time I made a swimsuit, it turned out that I was a whole size off from what I thought I'd be after measuring myself. If I was in a store, it would have been devastating; but making it myself, it was just more information to help me. It's also a fast project, it only takes about an hour or two!

#i have doomed myself by once being a loser in my 20s who played too many games #everything is mid now people are like oh you have to play this hot new thing and im like #i played an RPGmaker game in 2008 that did the central concept better and let me turn into a spider woman and eat a child #and then they're like no but this game is amazing it's the best ever of all time #and again i have to say sorry somehow paradoxically dragon age 2 is better than this game and somehow less racist #every game you like is mid they are all mid disco is mid bg3 is mid slay the pr*ncess is mid elden ring is mid even so many indie darlings #i think i am actually just depressed lol but it just feels like every single hyped game is just Ok #and it's not for lack of trying i have played so many fuckin games in the hunt for good things #the last major release that was Very Good was cyberpunk and obviously that was only bc the narrative was specifically relevant to my life #before that it's like. uh. mass effect? but only kind of. i luv mass effect but even there... mid... so sad #someone give me a game to play that is good. know innately my tastes or suffer the consequences

quite possibly a controversial take but i really dont fucking care but i think its actually critical that steph's relationship with bruce not be defined as "parent-child"/"father-daughter" and its negatively impacting steph's character to claim bruce is "the closest thing to a father shes ever had" or "the best parent in her life" because it ignores the actual effect of arthur brown on who steph's character is, her actions, her reasoning, and also ignores stephanie's relationship with her mother.

I KNOWWWW, even with Vikkari I wanted shake him after the whole "well, I wasn't useful while being ripped apart internally by demonic forces, so you must hate me now :) " thing bc sir. SIR. You are a party staple for me. You crit on EVERYTHING, and it's almost all one shot kills. I can't count the number of fights against smaller/mid-size mobs where my melee fighters didn't even get to hit anything bc Lann(and Arue) had killed everyone by the time they reached the enemies. xD Even if I didn't love his jokes(I do) and like him as a character(I do), he's one of the most useful party members.

Then for Trinne you throw in that she likes him quite a lot and loves his jokes and thinks he's cute and is determined to single-handedly help him work on those self-worth issues of his. xD So he pulls the "I'm no good to you, guess I'll just go.." crap and she's grabbing his arm and digging in her heels like "The hell you will, GET BACK HERE"

#queen in mendev #istg he's the only video game man i've met who maybe has worse self-worth than kurt greedfall #fortunately trinne is a big time cheerleader/hype woman for people she cares about #but for real he's so useful i settled on a suboptimal and ooc-choice ending to his personal quest with vikkari so i could keep him #vikkari missed the mini quest chain in act 3 to build lann up for taking over as chief #so even though he (and i) would 100% trust lann to handle the demon d-bag in act 5 letting him go alone got him dead #can't have that. so we went together and i had to grit my teeth though a bunch of ''why don't you trust me?' puppy eyes #bc i refused to give up my best dps #trinne did that chain tho so she'll be letting him handle it solo :3
