Drew up the Archmagister, one of Zephrine's two co-rulers in Tiamyra.
LORE BELOW:
Similar to how Zephrine rules the religious aspect of things in the Cathedral of Five Spires, Visaryn here rules the magic aspect, leading the Obsidian Spire. Together with the Sovereign(Raishi) and the Hierarch(Zephrine), they make up Tiamyra's rulers, collectively called the Triumverate.
Given that Tiamat rules at least partly over the domain of magic in Caerllon, mages are very highly respected within the nation's culture, and Visaryn here is no exception. The complex inner-workings and cutthroat politics of the Obsidian Spire has meant that Visaryn has had to be very cunning and resourceful to reach the top, and even moreso to remain there for as long as he has. He is both respected and feared, for good reason.
As a person he is both a brilliant and very serious man who doesn't suffer fools and has little time for those that interrupt his work, and even less time for those whose ambition exceeds their skill. He also isn't above turning someone into a potted plant should they draw his ire, which means most people aren't dumb enough to do so.
That said, if you earn his respect, he will do everything in his power(which is significant) to do right by you and is incredibly loyal once that loyalty has been earned.

Alvivecia, about Aryon and Gothren: I heard the two of them are close. Is that true?
Divayth Fyr: Close? If you put the two of them together in a cage with a daedroth, the daedroth would have an identity crisis.

I've been playing through the mod Uvirith's Legacy and I feel like it's almost too much content. Like, this is a whole DLC's worth of mod. I have so many quests and things to do to build up my little mushroom town :3
I do wish I didn't feel like I was missing out by not bringing the companions around though. I've got all of them unlocked and would love to see all their unique dialogue and responses to different areas, but MW's pathfinding is awful and they keep getting stuck in the ceiling somehow. I rarely do custom companion mods in any game I'm so much of a loner I don't even want to hang out with NPCs because of stuff like this @_@
#max's rambles#nalaa didn't expect becoming archmagister to involve babysitting two elves and a daedra but here we are

The great Merlin does their own laundry.
It's. Well, it is certainly not what Valen expected. He's heard ever balad, read every story and tale and history. He though he knew archmagister Merlin, long before he ever met them. They are the most famous person in the world after all.
But the stories failed to mention a Firecracker blearing sleepily at the small label on the back of a bag of laundry detergent because they can't be bothered to grab the glasses they left on the bedside table, wearing only a too-big shirt that they probably stole from the back of Hogan's closet at some point. The writings spoke of a dimensional pocket of magitechnical wonders, but not the way they still separate the colors of their laundry. No ballad ever detailed the way they still carefully read the instructions on the detergent, even though theyve doubtless done this a thousand times before.
It's quaint, in its own way. Sweet. Humanizing. A little bit scary, too, because Merlin's memory comes and goes, shifts like the sands of the desert or the disguise they use to walk among their people, and Valen cant help but fear the day Merlin forgets him, too, the way they keep forgetting the spell to instantly clean their clothes.
(Hogan is an even stronger man than Valen ever imagined for bearing it with such grace.)
But Chippy serves another stack of pancakes and, this morning, Merlin gets their laundry started without any fuss (though Valen will probably have to remind them to rotate it later). The house wakes up slowly around them and Merlin looks at Valen with eyes bright with recognition, with affection and
In that, at least, Valen and Hogan can agree. Because Merlin forgets, sure, but they remember, too, or they relearn. And Valen thinks, he'd endure being forgotten a thousand times, just to see Merlin smile.

Archmagister Neloth,
It is well-known that being a Telvanni Apprentice is the best magical education anyone in Tamriel could hope to achieve. Is there a formalized application process to become an apprentice to a Telvanni Wizard? Are there prerequisites? What sort character and personality traits make one successful as a Telvanni apprentice?
Hello, um…citizen! Thank you so much for submitting your inquiry! Master Neloth felt as though this question would be best delegated to me.
My name is Talvas Fathryon, and I’ve been Master Neloth’s apprentice here at Tel Mithryn for about seven years. (Seven…long years). Yes, there was an application process…kind of. I don’t know if I’d call it ‘formal’. I first wrote to Master Neloth asking if he was accepting apprentices and received no response. Then, I just showed up in person to ask instead. He told me that he could sense that my magicka pool was sufficient, but that I was too weak-willed to be his apprentice. (Haha he always tells it like it is!) I asked him how I might strengthen my Will, and he simply said: one cannot fill a teacup that is already full. Then he told me to get out of his tower or else he’d have me defenestrated.
So! I devoted the next year of my life to strengthening my Will, mostly through concentration exercises—meditation, memorizing spellforms, visualization—standard practices, for the most part. I thought about his riddle a lot and how it applied to everything I’d learned so far, and that’s how I solved it: I had to let go of everything I’d learned so far. So, when I returned to Tel Mithryn a year later and told him that I was ready to re-learn the ways of Magnus as an empty teacup, he accepted me as his first apprentice in over two decades.
I’d say if you want to be a successful apprentice, especially under someone like Master Neloth, you have to be able to take criticism (and not take it personally). A lot of people think Master Neloth is mean, and…well, he is. He’s very mean. But most of the time he isn’t mean in a dishonest way, if that makes sense. Everything he says has some form of truth or logic to it. So you have to hear what he’s saying beyond the usual insults.
Secondly, I think you need to have a high pain tolerance. I won’t elaborate. Anyways, I hope this was helpful! I’m aiming to become a Journeyman here soon, so he may be taking on new apprentices! If you decide to apply…good luck.

My current Nerevarine, a Dagi-raht khajiit named Ko'Atayh. She's a mage, master of destruction, arch-mage of the Mages Guild, and Archmagister of House Telvanni. I've just completed the Fourth and Fifth trials with her and I'm planning to finish the original game and then Tamriel Rebuilt as well.
Despite being recognized by Vivec and the Temple as the Nerevarine, she is despised by the Ordinators and they mutter curses at her as she walks by.

Nerevarine: I did that thing you asked of me.
Neloth: Of course you did. Here's ten drakes.
Gothren: Good, have an overpowered enchanted item. Just don't show Neloth you have it.
Therana: You smell funny. I like spiders.

Wanted to draw the Tiamyran Triumverate together, so I whipped this up. From left to right, we have Sovereign Raishi Voluna, Hierarch Zephrine Lorenthal, and Archmagister Visaryn Shaxarn.
They each rule one major branch of the Tiamryan government, which each represent one of three major aspects of Tiamyran society- Politics, Religion, and Magic, respectively.
