– Before you got together with Vi, you would watch her matches online and arrange watch parties during the season.

– You would deck yourself out in merch, paint her initials on your cheek, and you even got yourself a red jacket to match hers.

– For your birthday, your friend got you tickets to see her in person and passes to her meet and greet!

– Obviously, you were geeked. You were going to see your favorite boxer, and celebrity crush, in the flesh and meet her!

– In the line for her meet and greet, you tried to be civil. You tried not to freak out about how pretty she looked and how she interacted with the kids who came to see her, and you tried to convince yourself that the eye contact you two made was all in your head.

– You were 20th in line. There was no way she could see you from there. As your friend said: "Everyone thinks their favorite is looking at them. It's all a delusion."

– You tried to drill that statement into your head but as you gained proximity, there was a voice in your head telling you that what your friend said wasn't true.

– You two did make eye contact. That smile on the corner of her lips was real and you were the cause.

– When your turn came, your delusions were confirmed. She did look at you. She said it herself.

– "Hey! You've been in line for a while. Thanks for waiting so patiently."

– Uhm, hellooooo. She was totally taking glances at you. How else would she have known that you've been waiting for a long time? Totally not because she can gauge the line's length and the amount of time it's taking her to get through everyone. Totally not.

– Anyway, as you two encountered, (your friend stayed back to give you your moment), your eyes couldn't help but sparkle when you met Vi's. Her gorgeous gray eyes, her pink hair that was way more vivid in person. Even her height. God, her height.

– You were obsessed with it.

– You knew she had to be on the taller side, but even the tallest person in the world looks 2 inches on a TV screen. ___

"Hey, you okay?" Vi smiled at you. Her eyes scanned yours, aware of your starstruckness but also looking for any signs that said you were indeed not okay. She had her hand on the small of your back and you almost felt like palpating. Well, that was until your friend, Hannah, snapped you out of your daze.

"Dude," her voice barked. "You're drooling and other people are waiting." Her tone was light and sweet.

You and Vi shared a chuckle, although yours sounded more embarrassed than hers. "Consider yourself a fan?" Vi gave you a mix of a smirk and a smile. Her hand still remained on the small of your back.

Giving her an eased smile, you moved closer so you two were side-by-side and in frame for the picture Hannah was taking. "You could say that."

– After that interaction, you could not stop talking about it on the way to your seats.

– You and Hannah gathered some goodies along the way. And even in line for frozen drinks, you couldn't stop mentioning how her wrapped hand felt on your back and how her voice was smooth as honey.

– Hannah could only sympathize so many times before she grew tired of your yapping, but she let you continue nonetheless.

– In your seat and deep into the match, you two raved and cheered for the respected sides. One of Hannah's favorites was competing before Vi's match so it was like a 2-for-1 special.

– When Vi's match did come around, you couldn't help but relish in her confidence and bask in her charisma. How she owned the ring during her intro and how her body bounced against the ring's ropes.

– She was stunning. (Even though you knew that already).

– As she stood on the ropes, smiling and waving to her fans, her eyes found yours. For Vi, it was like time stopped. The cheers of the audience drowned out and all she cared about was making you smile and seeing that sparkle in your eye again.

– She gave you her signature wink with the tilt of your head. To that, you squealed, jumped on the balls of your feet, and waved ecstatically towards her.

– Satisfied, Vi hummed to herself and went on to start her match.

– Now Vi wasn't going to let some cute human distract her from winning this fight. She's met many cute people before and she refused to let them get into her head and make her lose the match.

– Even if those cute people seem to melt and stare at her in admiration at the smallest things.

– Your meeting was only the beginning of a long-lasting relationship.

– Even after months of being together, you still freaked out time to time.

– These freakouts were different than before. They weren't "fangirl" freakouts and instead were smitten, "omg-i-can't-believe-how-awesome-my-girlfriend-is-and-i'm-in-love-with-her" freakouts.

– Like when Vi would rest her arm someplace on your body to lean on you, you would internally freak out because she was leaning on you and she's so attractive when she does that.

– Or another time when she gives you puppy eyes for wanting something you said no to. She'd even stick out her bottom lip and deepen the pout before you groan, cup her face, and express over and over how cute she is before giving in.

– When she calls you "babe", you freak out a little, and even when she cups your face, a tiny squeal comes from you.

– Vi never grew tired of your freakouts or moments of flusteredness. She thought it was cute.

– She had her moments of freakouts too but hid them better than you.

– (I had wayyy more ideas for this originally but they all went out the window as soon as I started writing so abrupt ending! Sorry!)

not liking arcane season two is like if Spider-Man 3 was the most beloved movie ever and there’s tons posters and fanart and edits of it and everywhere you go people are talking about how good it was and they go “isn’t it so cool how they confirmed harry x peter as canon” and you think ‘I don’t think that happened ‘ and everyone’s saying how well they handled the Goblin jr thing and you feel crazy because it wasn’t really handled well and you see a valid critique of how there’s too many villains and plot lines and all the comments are calling them sexist even though, while MJ is given a lot more character depth in Spider-Man 3, it doesnt make the movie a feminist masterpiece and you see edits everywhere of Peter’s black suit and it looks ok but people are acting like it was a genius character choice and you see ship art of harry and peter tagged ‘love these canon gays’ and you’re confused how the same people who use MJ’s excellent characterization to prove the movie is good forget about her for the sake of an inferior gay ship

Anyways Arcane rant/thoughts 😭 (SPOILERS‼️)

1. I don't understand the fact that Jinx is one of the most popular characters in the game but they decided to "kill her off" (she's alive I don't care) in the show. Like tell me HOWWWWWWWW. And honestly I lowkey prepared myself for it saying the Jinx may die but it still doesn't seem right.

2. How does a scientist survive, but not a mass murderer? (😭). I honestly thought that Ekko was going to go back in time and save her. And I'm looking at this like gurl you could've glitched Vi out of that situation. She could've done the same thing for Isha (Isha's still alive idc😭).

3. Another thing too we know it was Jayce's doing but if Vi didn't hold back Jinx she could've saved Isha but I don't think people are ready for that talk yet. Now don't come for me, I love Vi like loooooovvvvvvvveeeeeeee her OBSESSED but I can't help but think if she didn't try to protect Jinx we'd probably have Isha.

4. Vi and Caitlyn. Nothing. No words. NONE. Doing it in this cell after your sister was there is diabolical writing.

5. Maddie. I actually really liked her and honestly didn't understand what people's hatred for her was. There were a few times on TikTok I saw people say there're suspicious of her and I brushed it off. But HONESTLY, I LOVED THE BETRAYAL. Best plot twist I don't care I LOVED IT. And the part where she says "I did enjoy your warmth" WICKED- Y'all cannot tell me that that isn't the equivalent to "Tell your mom I said wagwan" from Supacell YOU CANNOT-. Was lowkey a littledisappointed when she died.

6. Same thing for Ambessa too. Bro I'm weird I liked Ambessa 😭 thought she was so badass.

7. If you were to ask me what's going on in season 2 I would not be able to give you an answer 😭 the lore goes crazy.

8. I honestly think that the ending was a little rushed in a way. I thought I would've heard Sevika talk(😭) we'd see more dialect from the others. Because when she sat down on the council chair is when it dawned on me like aye she probably knows Jinx is dead. And I understand we saw Vi screaming for Jinx but I don't know I thought there'd be a more depressing, sad reaction from her after, or like interacting with Ekko you know.

ARCANE SEASON 2 ARC 3 SPOILERS‼️‼️

I noticed this while watching episode 7: “Pretend like its the first time”, not that small of a detail but:

(I’m sorry if it is incoherent i just really needed to get this out.)

During the innovative party scene where Ekko dances with Powder, the song that plays is ”ma meilleure ennemie” by Stromae & Pomme, which translates to ”my best (female) enemy” which clearly refers to Powder, or Jinx.

In the intro begins a small chant where they say

Je t’aime, je t’attends […]

Meaning “ i love you, i am waiting for you” which clearly explains Ekko before coming to terms that Jinx no longer is Powder, since he fell inlove with Powder he keeps waiting for Powder to come back. This mental dilemma of having to accept that even if its the same body, same face its not the same person anymore, which is later supported by the first chorus where Stromae sings

“The worse of all blessings, the best of all curses”, Powder was the best thing that happened to him while Jinx was the worse thing which makes this relationship with her- this connection, both a blessing and a curse.

But what made the scene more interesting was when they danced and the part

Mais ma meilleure ennemie, c'est toi [but my best enemy, that is you.]

Fuis-moi, le pire, c'est toi et moi [flee from me, the worse is you and i]

Mais si tu cherches encore ma voix [but if you keep searching for my voice]

Oublie-moi, le pire, c'est toi et moi [forget me, the worse is you and i]

I know we all wanted Ekko to stay in that timeline and be happy with Powder but remember season 1 where- whilst every Jinx or Vi centric episodes always began with a flashback, the Ekko centric one started from the present. Indicating that Ekko forces himself to always look forward than trying to let the past get to him. For exempel in - please correct me if i’m wrong, season 1 episode 5 when Vi said that she should’ve been there to help Ekko, he only says ”that’s is a good way to drive yourself crazy”. He immidiantly shut down any thought of what could’ve been, indirectly forcing Vi to think about the present. Especially afterwards when Vi talks about getting Powder back when Ekko has already fully acknowledge that there is only Jinx. All of this makes him being in that timeline more difficult for him since it is exactly what he wanted to avoid, being stuck in what could’ve been.

Dancing with Powder just engraves this furthee into him, this is unhealthy for Ekko since it’s the relation ship between him and Jinx. As to reiterate ”if you keep searching for Powder’s, voice, stop, it will just drive you crazy”

Also to refer to the pre-chorus!

First one:

Additionally, before the kiss scene where Ekko says “can we pretend like it’s the first the first time”, further insinuates the whole, “this is my present even thought it’s a part of your past”.

I know it is not a small detail and not that significant but i really wanna acknowledge how every part of the Arcane series have a significance into the story. And honestly i needed to vent. It was so fun last night watching the scene and hearing ”le pire, c’est toi et moi” and just go ”oh, word?”. I am not French but i studied it so it just felt good from that POV too.

Edit: i was not aware that Arcane gets critizied over how litteral the songs are to the scene but i still stand by my point about why i really liked the song and this scene specifically)

I think a post canon react fic would be really funny for arcane. Possibly using some sort of offshoot of hextech, ekko would be experimenting and considering he quite LITERALLY made a Time Machine, it wouldn’t be too far fetched to make a machine that shows the events of the past and/or gather everyone involved. Past and present. (Or even from the other timeline if someone wants to get crazy with it)

What I think would be funny is them finding out through this device that Jinx is alive. Like imagine making your way to a whole new continent and suddenly you’re teleported to a room full of people you let think you died. Awkward as hell. So while Vi (and possibly Ekko? It’s really not clear if he knows she’s alive or not) is breaking down because holy shit her sister is alive and she’s never letting go of her, Caitlyn is off in the corner standing awkwardly because she knew she was alive but wasn’t saying anything. Also jinx is 100% trying to stay as far away as possible (possibly hiding behind Ekko? They seem close during the final battle sooo…)

Meanwhile their past selves are looking on in confusion and slight horror. They don’t say anything until powder trips over her own feet and holy shit is that weird for literally anyone and everyone from the future. A) everyone in the past is so young and Not Traumatized, it’s objectively pretty adorable B) there are a lot of people from that past that are not there in the future or conversely, a lot of people in the past who are still alive. The people from the past are horrified at the changes while those from the present are nostalgic and sad at their past selves. ( imagine past sevika looking at her lost arm. Mylo and claggor wondering what happened to them. Legit just everything abt Vander, Silco and even Benzo. Also the enforcer woman who made a deal with Vander (editing later after remembering, her name is Grayson). Also Jayce and Viktor because they kinda caused ALL OF THIS. imagine looking at your future and seeing firsthand how bleak it is)

There’s also the fact that literally NOBODY in the show knows everything. NOBODY. Watching the show and finding out about things that nobody but one person knew about. Explanations and feelings between the characters and, well yeah. Hell, you could even add original scenes or your take on the deleted scenes. I’m a sucker for react fics and personally I’d love to see the characters talk to their future selves and see firsthand what they’d become. I think it’d be interesting.

“Oh, you poor thing, they’re still in there are they?” Felicia asks when Silco emerges from the Last Drop despite the fact she can damn well see with her own eyes the answer. Silco’s stomach still huge from his and Vander’s child.

She hadn’t heard any news of the now long-awaited pup being born but she had held out hope that it just hadn’t been announced yet as the new parents adapted to life with a new born and that Vander would have told her Silco wouldn’t be joining her today because he was recovering from birth when she showed up. She had already planned in her head that she’d have time to pop back home to get the small gift she’d brought them and make it to the market before the fresher produce got snapped up.

“Unfortunately,” Silco says with a tight smile, reaching out to tickle at Vi’s face where it peaks out of the wrap Felicia has her in. Not as safe as when she was still inside her but still close enough that Felicia can feel her warmth. “You'll have to wait a little longer to meet your friend.”

Vi babbles back as she’s taken to at anyone or anything that catches her interest.

“I don’t think she’s the one that’s impatient about it,” Felicia says as they start on their way down the road. She keeps pace with Silco because it wasn’t too long ago she was the one waddling around heavy with a pup and he’d been patient with her. Probably because he knew this time would come but that’s not here nor there.

Silco gives her a look.

“What have you heard?”

“Nothing! Nothing!” Felicia raises her hands in defense. “But you’ve both been saying any day now for a few weeks and I know if it was me I’d be starting to go crazy from the wait.”

Vi had been just about spot-on with what the midwife had predicted from the date of Felicia’s last heat. Not that that had helped with their panic about when it happened or made the pain any easier but at least she hadn’t been left waiting for it to get started and only getting bigger by the day like Silco is.

“I’ve tried everything and yet still nothing. Not even a false contraction. Just Vander’s huge pup making my hips ache so much I struggle to sleep,” Silco tells her, his hands busy giving his belly and back as much support as they can.

“Everything?”

“Yes - everything! Even that disgusting tea that costs a fortune. And still no signs of labor.”

“So you’ve tried fucking?” Felicia asks, barely even dropping her voice. They’ve both made now a baby with their alpha so clearly know how to do it.

“That was the first thing I tried,” Silco says, with a roll of his eyes. “Doesn’t cost anything and Vander’s not hard to convince.”

“Gotten on top?”

“Yes. Not that I would recommend it to anyone in a similar state. It was exhausting and uncomfortable and I still do not have the baby out for it.”

Felicia hums at it, already thinking of the next option. Silco peers at her suspiciously.

“What?” he asks.

“Have you gotten him to suck on your tits?” She does lean in close that time, mostly to enjoy the horrified expression it earns her.

“How is that meant to help?” Silco demands. “Probably something alphas made up to give them an excuse.”

“No it’s meant to help get things going,” Felicia says, pressing her hand over Vi about where her heart would be. “Brings your milk in as well, apparently. Your body figures that, well, it had better get the baby out of your so they can start drinking it. Makes you contract as well, the midwife had Vi on my boob almost as soon as she was born to help pass the afterbirth. I’m sure Vander would be happy to help out to get this over with-”

“Vander helping out is not the problem with it,” Silco interrupts. “No, he would be very happy to help out in that way.”

“Then why not?”

“Because I am not having him suck my tits right now,” Silco hisses at her. He’d be a lot more intimidating if he wasn’t also literally waddling with an over 9 month pregnant belly on him.

“Well, then, you clearly don’t want them out all that much,” Felicia says more to tease than anything as Silco bats her away. Even if he doesn’t take her suggestion on board she does hope it won’t be a much longer wait for him and Vander for their pup to be born. They deserve to not have to wait any longer to hold the result of all Silco’s effort.

Arcane x scarian AU where Scar is Vi and Grian is Caityn.

I'm thinking of like season 2 act 2 (I think it was) where Vi becomes a fighter or whatever and uses her fist to punch and stuff like. Okay then imagine if that was Scar instead and he's training to fight with just his fists because of the whole cactus ring and stuff which maybe happened sometime in their past (maybe Grian won their fight and then left Scar collapsed on tbe ground like Caitlyn leaves Vi before she becomes a dictator) IDK ITS JUST. THERES PARALLELS TO BE MADE I THINK

And maybe Grian became the leader of the Watchers after he left Scar just because!! They manipulated him and now he's bitter that Scar, in the end, still 'viewed him as a monster' (a watcher) (even though Scar didn't and it's a whole lot more complicated than that)

EDIT: Sorry for the misinformation my memory wasn't working right. I actually headcanon-ed this a LOT earlier. Like when Viktor first starts messing with the runes.... which is like the second or third scene after he appears in the show so yeah imagine how crazy I must have felt back then. I remember when I watched Arcane for the first time with @spiteful-summer-of-sixteen (like two weeks ago lol) and the scene where after the blast Viktor gets out of the sourdough starter and puts on the shawl/cloak thingy I went "oh oh he's the mage that Jayce saw as a kid who saved his life. Somehow Viktor timey wimey-ed himself to go back in time and save fetus-Jayce and in doing so doomed himself forever" and then immediately after I was like mentally slapping myself for being cringe and delusional af and telling myself to stop watching too much Doctor Who.

Silco & Jinx: Addendum

*Spoilers For All Of Arcane*

My apologies to you all. Shortly after posting my analysis of the impact Silco had on Jinx, I realized that I did not properly integrate the series of events I prepared demonstrating Silco‘s genuine love for her. Rather than going through and editing the entire thing, I give you a list here of several moments, demonstrating that he did truly love her as his daughter. 

1. “Who is we?”- Sevika implies many people in the operation consider Jinx to be a problem. He silences her with a few words and a slight change in tone that convey all the threat needed

2. Singed- After the incident on the bridge this entire event shows him full of genuine fear and panic over losing her. He extols her strength and when he wakes and finds her gone, he is extremely threatening thinking Singed has killed her

3. Talking with Jayce- Even with the offer of his dream on the table, he immediately resisted and took responsibility for her crimes himself

4. “Is there anything so undoing, as a daughter?”- This monologue at Vander’s statue really shows how much he cares for Jinx. He finally understands why Vander walked away from the fight

5. “I’d never have given you to them”- In his final moments Silco reassures her he never would have betrayed her, and I believe him. However harmful his love may be, it is genuine. He was prepared to sacrifice it all for her

I really am sorry folks, it’s not like me to leave a whole side of a character’s dimensions out of a document. Sleep deprivation and holiday craziness are a bitch! Thank you all.

On Jinx and Vi

Nothing better than discovering that your dad is actually not dead but a literal fucking beast and now you have to talk to your sister who turned emo/crazy to save him.

+ Silco and Vander were besties.

I'm happy to see the new relationship between these two after all. So much to apologise and so much to say, and also trying to save the country. I just hope they have small sister fights constantly.

On Caitlyn

I must admit I didn't see Cait coming because I thought she just turned evil but turns out people are complex beings and Cait is not Ambessa.

"Caitlyn is not distracted" that's such a hard line from Vi. She was so distracted by Ambessa but she's right back on track. I love seeing THE lesbians back. Now, they have a lot to talk about and mostly with Jinx, because that sister-in-law relationship is, well, it's definitely a relationship.

On Isha

Wow. I don't even know how to feel because WOW. She was one of the strongest characters I've seen. She loved these people, who by the way she (more or less) just met and she sacrificed her entire life for them and many more. THAT'S strong. I'm gonna miss her and I'm sure Jinx is NOT letting this slide.

On Jayce and Viktor

Jayce is so absolutely traumatised he went insane and I'm just hoping Viktor didn't actually die because I will start killing people, but I'm not mad at him. Mostly I want to see how he turns out. Of course he didn't want to kill him but he did what he thought was okay.

I think the final speech Viktor gave was absolutely amazing. Again, the complexity of the characters is something I had definitely never seen before (although I haven't consumed as much media as I would like to), and how the writers were able to build everything has me crying.

My prediction is that Jayne will be suffering quite a lot and think about Viktor nonstop. The thing is (coming from my own sadness) I think Viktor is not dead, but his body is. He transcended human nature and will be talking to Jayce, maybe through whatever the hammer has going on. My boy Jayce has it BAD.

I want at least a hug and Jayce bawling his eyes out. Ugly crying. Snot, tears and drool all over his face apologising to Viktor and not knowing what to do. And then they both smooch in the weird arcane realm they're in. *figurines clicking together sounds*

Now for real, I would love it if Viktor got into his mind when he sleeps of whatever and talks to him. Maybe he explains what he's seen and Jayce and him fight over what to do, because they have extremely different views on Hextech. That will be a good fight to see.

On Ekko and Mel

Oh god what is going on. For real what are they putting my girl and my boy through. Someone help these people.

Like, Jayce got out but where the fuck are Ekko and Heimendinger? And Mel is just lost in the weirdest realm ever, even worse than whatever Viktor has going on. All of this will be cleared out in the next episodes but damn. There's A LOT to clear out.

My thoughts

I must admit I didn't do a rewatch and that's leaving me with a few questions, but I'll probably watch it all over again and see the full show at its finest.

I will say that in the series that I watch I usually pick favourites. If they're not on screen I lose interest, but this show has me on a chokehold. Every one of these characters are so important and so interesting, and I think that's what makes a show good.

Beautiful writing, beautiful storytelling, beautiful art, beautiful pace. I just love it. As an amateur writer I love seeing this, it's such an inspiration to continue. It's so hard to watch knowing my favs will be going through hell but as a writer it's amazing to see how well the writers built that hell. So to conclude:

The girls are all against Ambessa, me and my besties overthrowing the government.

Jayce and Viktor having yet ANOTHER boyfriend fight, biblical edition.

Mel and Ekko are having the worst weed paranoia ever seen, now with magic.
