Hi! May I request a Japan, South Korea, or America x reader cute fluff where the reader enjoys taking their picture and asks them to model for their pictures?
Thank you so much! <3 Your blog is really cute!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Japan, South Korea, America x reader
Warnings: GN!reader (BC they didn't specify and I don't think gender really matters in this scenario) established relationships, so much sugar so sweet will give you cavities.
Japan
He'd be shy at first
Getting all flustered
Covering his face when he sees you getting out the camera
He totally understands though
He loves to take pictures with he's camera too
He's a bit of a hypocrite
Because he has a bunch of random pics of you he took with his camera
Eventually he gets used to it
But him blushing when you get all close to his face with the camera will never stop
You guys will probably go on little photography dates
Considering the fact that you mostly take pictures of him
It feels more like he's doing the photography while you just take pictures of him
But he always knows where to find a good pic of him that's for sure
I’d be real cute and all
He'd be SUPER! Flustered if he caught you taking pics of him while he's sleeping
He will hesitantly accept your request to be your model
But he's just so damn flustered!
He will eventually get the hang of it
BUT DON'T SHOW IT TO ANYONE
OR HE WILL DIE!
(of embarrassment)
America
He'd be real excited
You want him to be your model?
HELL YEAH
He'd be doing those stupid cringe photos
He'd be doing does silly hero poses yk
But don't laugh or he'll get sad
He loves it when you take pics of him
Capturing memories is great!
He loves being your muse
Who wouldn't want to take pictures of the “awesome hero”
He enthusiastic about all the pics you take
He hangs them up literally anywhere
Oh, someone needs a pic of him?
No worries he has a lot of great pics
He sometimes flexes them
He'll show off to England and all
He'd probably give England a copy of a pic of him annoying him
He overall just loves it
And if you squint
In every pic
You could see a tint of pink on his cheeks
South Korea
Bro is so majestic
It doesn't matter
where
when
Or what he's doing
He looks so damn fine
That's why it's just so addicting to take pics of him
He is a gorgeous man
He's perfect for to model
You literally couldn't ask for a better person to be your model for your pictures
And he poses for all your pics
He loves it when you take pics of him and China
He likes being your muse because he gets all your attention
He's a handsome boy that looks good no matter what
Oh your taking pics of him while he's sleeping
No worries he's always looking picture perfect!
Now your camera roll if just full of beautiful pics of him
Doesn't mind you taking random pics of him
You've tried to take pics of him when he's in he's jersey and glasses
He just looks so cute that way
But every time you fail
Your camera either being thrown across the room out of embarrassment
Right before you could even press the button
(Rip camera)
(Don't worry he'll apologize and try to fix it)
(And if he'll try to get you a new one)
Or he'd snatch the camera and push you out
No pics for you unfortunately…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I couldn't choose which character so I chose them all. It's not to long because I have work to do irl sorry. I know I said I don't write for manga characters but South Korea is and acceptance. He's one of my kinnies and he was supposed to be in the anime.
Also thank you so much for the request! ♡♡♡

Random thoughts
I can't get over this season 5.
For me there are an awful lot of understatements
And I don't understand who the villains are in this season 5.
Listen
Nine head demon He said there that he did it for a reason, to free himself, he didn't want to be a hero anymore. He also said that for now "HE is winning". But who? WHO IS "HE"?Because it's not about the nine heads There, he only agreed to a deal with chaos BUT THE QUESTION IS WHO RULES ALL THIS CHAOS? WHOSE GAME IS THIS?
The worst thing is that there is this whole thing with the cycle, where the whole story repeats itself. I have the impression that this has happened before, that this story has repeated itself more than once, and I also think that nine heads were involved in it, which is why now in S5 he had had enough and wanted to stop it.Maybe he played the hero earlier by taking care of the cycle?
Another thing was that the nine heads were Wukong's friend and enemy. But Wukong doesn't remember it, no one remembers the existence of nine heads Because he was probably erased from history. LBD once said that It will erase Macaque from history.
And just nine heads he knows what happened in each previous cycle.
In addition, one of Wykong's sworn brothers is missing. In the book we have someone like The Seven Sages.
I know there are different characters in the animation, but still.
1. Wukong
2. Macaque
3. Azur Lion
4. DBK
5. Peng
6. Yellow Tusk
7. ???
Exactly?
Maybe it's nine heads?
He made a deal, he was Wukong's friend and then enemy, he wanted out, he was fed up and that sun story of his.
It's starting to remind me a bit of the movie Doctor Strange. Dornamu, chaos, those people who saw the beauty of chaos.
And the thing with the stones looks a bit like the infinity stones from the Marvel universe.
It also occurred to me that maybe the nine heads understood that there is such a thing as a cycle that repeats itself. And with each rebirth he had greater awareness. And then he saw that there was chaos outside the cycle and he liked it.

Why we love Asha x Starboy
I just watched Wish, and it is because of the lack of meaningful character interaction in the movie. Aside from Asha and Magnifico, there are only so many characters to bounce off with Asha. There are 7 friends, but they're surface-level at best, with one line per character. The same goes for Sabino (Asha's grandfather), Asha's mom, and even the goat! Star in the final movie is a one-note "follow your dreams" character. There is no added dimension to these interactions, making the film feel hollow.
Giving the Star a humanoid appearance and a potential romance with Asha suddenly makes Wish more interesting. By making Star a human, writers are less likely to treat them like a random animal sidekick and more like a human character.
Meaningful character interactions give viewers something to cling to and relate to emotionally. The Disney Renaissance emphasizes romantic subplots and family conflicts for this reason. You can also find this when the main hero interacts with an animal sidekick. They provide the heart of a movie.
As a writer, I'm attracted to romance subplots because, like any relationship, they provide exciting character interactions and emotional investment. I'm beating a dead horse, but just because a princess has a romance arc doesn't mean she isn't empowered. Belle and Mulan are Disney princesses with love interests, yet they are still fully fleshed-out characters. Romance can also thematically enhance a story. Beauty and the Beast would not be the same without a romance between Belle and the Beast.
In the context of Wish, I think Asha already has an animal sidekick with the goat. She only needs one (they already have too many characters with the 7 teens). It is not that animal sidekicks couldn't be compelling characters. Mushu from Mulan is an example of creating entertaining animal sidekicks. He even has a character arc that complements Mulan, the main heroine. However, with Disney standards right now, you can't help but feel they might butcher the animal sidekicks.
Even the OG movie Snow White checks the mark for meaningful character interactions. It is not between the nameless prince and Snow White, but it is with the seven dwarves. Ironically this is where Asha's 7 friends are based off. The most important relationship of Snow White is literally in the title of her movie: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Unlike Wish, the reason why they can get away with 7 dwarfs is because the film is centered around the relationship between them and Snow White to avoid bloat.
It doesn't help that Asha and Magnifico themselves feel like bland cutouts. If you compare them to Disney's rosters of heroes and villains, they'd pale in comparison. They have the most interesting interactions but it feels like the bare minimum.
Whenever I look back on a movie, I remember a thought-provoking thematic beat or even a funny character interaction. Wish doesn't leave room for much. The movie feels like an amateur school play they show to grade-schoolers which is a low for Disney.
You know what's sadder?
I wish I could've had that meaningful character interaction with Asha and her grandfather, Sabino. They had something with Asha wanting to grant Sabino's wish but Sabino refused to let it be granted. In the movie, the conflict lasts for about a scene, and then it shifts to granting the wishes of everyone in Rosas.
You can see why the writers toyed with the idea of the Star Boy being a younger version of Sabino. The relationship between Sabino and Asha is the heart of the story.
This imaginary ship buried in concept art gave what the movie lacked: a heart. It is not enough to spew out inspirational messages and call people stars. One should also incorporate humanity.
I have a lot more thoughts on the story, specifically in its thematic beats but that is for another time.

toga head cannons + dating bits
so mha what a show i have been violently thrown back into it and currently re watching it along with another 4 animes anyway here i am ready to make this since I have like *checks notes * 16- nope 19- nope hold on 24! drafts and I can see more on the horizon so I'm finally letting my bisexual self get some crazy girls on my list
headcannons
She likes Hello Kitty. I think she would love Kuromi (I don't know for sure, as I've never watched it. I'm not really into Sanrio stuff.)
she has some skills with drawing but nothing too major. maybe a really good sketch once in a while, on some important documents (definitely got into a lot of trouble for doodling on her school books or anything like that. ik i did)
She chews on pens or pencils. possibly hoodie drawstrings, just anything, to be honest.
I feel like she loves dinosaurs, like at least knowing some random facts from like stolen picture books or remembering an interesting thing from a museum, and I guess the Internet exists
Dating stage
she has been rejected a few times, which is obvious, so when she finds you, she is nervous about falling fast yet again and getting left. again. but she can't help it, and when you say you feel the same, she could happily fight and die for you x10 more than she already felt like she would
Blood jewelry absolutely 100% like a pretty heart-shaped pendent that's suspiciously liquidy and a beautiful red like take all my money (I will for the precious bean)
She is a criminal, so getting more domestic dates is kind of difficult. so there's options 1 she drinks someone else's blood to disguise and just dresses different from them, so it's less obvious and go to a coffee shop or something. OR 2 screw the domestic stuff! and go out to steal sweets or candy and idk steal a shopping cart, go spray paint some rich guys house, and do stupid shit like getting arrested only to call dabi or shigaraki for help as you both laugh at how stupid that was.
She would love it if you knew how to style hair or let her style yours and be matching
Speaking of matching toga would absolutely have pj's/ onesies for the both of you. examples I can think of would be the night and light furry ones (I think they neat) also those two peice ones so sharing two sets like, skull top and pink short and then having pink tank top and skull trousers.
Love language is physical touch, words of affirmation, and gift giving all the way. Holding hands? "Ah! We're holding hands haha, suck it, dabi your bitchless!". she needs soothing words during a cuddle session like fr tell her she's an amazing girlfriend. Anything you get her stuff like that is definitely her new bragging right, new hair clip? It's on, and she refuses to take it out until you do it yourself. A little pin it's going on her skirt, a keyring? She's putting at least two of those on the handle of her favourite knife. You made her a painting/ printed a photo/ wrote a poem or anything? It's getting framed and hung above her bed
She probably had lots of photos before you dated, but now she definitely has. 2 folders one is a digital file on her phone, and the other is stashed away, filled with secretly taken ones that she looks at when she misses you
If you're a hero, she'll make it a point to watch you and look at all your fan base online. "It's my turn on the TV my adorable partner is on." She would also want to go on every mission close to where your agency would be. If you have any merchandise, she has it already. If she sees other people wearing your clothing line, she would either compliment it or want to stab them (I can't decide)
That's all i can think of, and i want to do more, so anything else in the comments would be nice. im trying to ease my way into writing female characters. i might be bi, but i can't talk to women, so this was fun and a little difficult for me

Hii! (ノ・∀・)ノ
I've been itching to ask you this question for a while now lmaoo. SO
What are your favorite My Hero Academia openings/endings?? 🙈
Asking what your favorite anime songs are seems too difficult, so for now I'll just stick to MHA :')
Have a nice day! ♡
Aww hiii!! <3 Not gonna lie, it's not something I ever really thought about so I had to look all the songs up and listen to them again LMAO. Funny enough, I'm not super into the music style of anime themes because my ears grew up being trained on American pop music, and the melodies/general flow of a lot of anime soundtracks don't quite match the ones I like/I'm used to hearing. When I watch an anime, I'll listen any new opening/ending song once and if I don't like it, I just skip over it whenever it comes on (happens more often than not) 🙂‍↔️
It's quite rare that I enjoy >80% of an anime theme and I'm actually really picky about the ones I save into my library. Thus, I don't have that many (my weeb playlist is only 2 hours long! I know a lot of people who have at least 10 hours of anime shit in their playlists lol). A lot of the songs in my playlist are actually not openings or endings, but random soundtracks within the shows (e.g. character themes like in Demon Slayer, or MHA has a lot of random repeated songs for different kinds of scenes. And how could I forget AOT [Hiroyuki Sawano the goat]). Yeah so no OP/EDs in my library normally (for MHA at least), BUT sometimes I'll add some of the instrumentals of the songs, (i.e. no voices) because I felt like the singing ruined a good composition lmao jjk S2 OP 1 and S2 ED 2 idk I think I'm in the minority when I say that for music, sound is more important to me than lyrics
Anyway sorry for the backstory that you entirely did not ask for. Without further ado, my top picks (musically, because I will watch some openings/endings solely for the vibes, not because I like the song lmao):
OPENINGS
Merry-Go-Round (S5 OP 2): the only opening I have saved in my library. I mostly try to ignore the cringe English but I enjoy this song the most out of all the other ones (I have a few other Man With A Mission songs as well)! The part in the actual theme in the show where All Might's bright aura fades into Endeavor's dark one is such a chilling contrast ugh.,.,,. I ate that shit up
Star Marker (S4 OP 2): I didn't save this one but it's so happy I love!! And the focus on my fav girl Jiro <3 you can't listen to this song and not be in a good mood tbh
Polaris (S4 OP 1): not saved, but I would actually watch through this theme sometimes (not skip!) when watching S4. I like most of it except the end though oops
Odd Future (S3 OP 1): also not saved, but I don't dislike it and I could see myself listening to it without actively wanting the song to be over lmao. somehow the autotune works
Curtain Call (S7 OP 2): the most recent one. not good enough to be saved in my library but I don't hate it like I hated most of S6's and the first part of S7's OP/EDs lmao
ENDINGS
Dakara, Hitori ja Nai (S2 ED 1): I think the translation of this is something like "you're not alone" or something, which 🥺. Anyway, the most sonically pleasing song in the entire MHA production okay I don't make the rules. The harmonies are beautiful!! And the fact that this ending was focused on the girlie pops I was like yes yes yessss queens all around slayyyy
Rokutousei (S7 ED 2): translation - "6" something..,., the most recent one!! I was so surprised when I first listened, I was suspicious of how much I was liking it and I was low key waiting for a part of the song where the melody doesn't go the way I expect and I end up hating it (S5 ED 2) but it never happened. I never skip this one when watching the show. It's a beautiful song in the way that it's like slightly melancholic but also hopeful at the same time? Even without understanding the lyrics those are the vibes I get when I listen (and see the visuals, maybe that's where I'm getting this from lmao). It honestly puts me on the verge of tears sometimes. Especially the ending where they showed Shoto/Toya!! instead of the normal Deku/Shigaraki. Anyway I have the full song saved in my library and it was even on repeat a couple weeks ago! Ochaco on the album cover is so cute
Shout Baby (S4 ED 2): also super happy and catchy and bright. And everyone's bb pics!! 🥺 I would almost never skip this theme.
Uso ja Nai (S5 ED 2): translation - "not a lie"? honorable mention cause I enjoyed the first 30ish secs of the song with the piano before it falls off (basically just the first verse) and I love bb hawks
Sketch (S6 ED 1): again, also not saved, but I don't dislike it and I could see myself listening to it without actively wanting the song to be over lmao
Somewhat unrelated but in doing some of my research for this ask, I found out that Sayuri, the singer who did the ending of S4 (the one that was focused on Eri), passed away last month at 28 years old :( rip. Her song was the only one from S4 that didn't make it on this list cause I didn't love it, but she was so young. at least her legacy lives on through her music.
Thank you for this ask!! I had fun listening to all the themes again and it was interesting to actually think about some of these songs and what I like/didn't like about them. I probably have to save a few to my library as well. Do we have any favs in common? 🥺 Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like I remember you being more of a punk-rock kinda girlie so I'm suspecting there might not be a lot of overlap lmao

Dear, @purplekoop
GRRRR RAHH War Bots is consuming me! I keep finding myself thinking about the far off hypotheticals and all the little extraneous details:
What would box art look like? So far I can see Wilderoad and Calber staring at each other from the corners of the art. A random map from the game is the background. Other bots from the game are all rushing towards each other ready for a fight.
What kinds of PvP maps will there be? One idea I had is an abandoned amusement park based on a once-beloved-but-now-forsaken gaming company that is now being used for training.
Also I had the potential* headcanon that the PvP gameplay is the War Bots** training.
*(I say potential because i don't know if you already had that idea. I don't want to assume.)
**(Not to be annoying myself. But I know that War Bots is not the final name of the game nor the team. I just wanted to make that clear real quick. Sorry if this sounds rude. I genuinely don't know how to phrase this without sounding like an asshole.)
What will the trailer look like? I can see a rough draft. A little rendered animation of showing Wilderoad walking onto a PVP map. Chaos is everywhere. We then get quick clips of gameplay footage of characters using their abilities. The obligatory pop song playing in my head bounces between "Cut Off" by Set It Off and "Magic 8" also by Set It Off. (I listened to the album these songs were in recently while I had War Bots on the brain)
By the way, I see Wilderoad as the face of War Bots mainly because they were literally the introduction to it, and if I remembered correctly, they were also one of the first characters made. And if i'm remembering REALLY correctly, I believe you yourself said they were the face.
What will the cosmetics be like? This question really started when you mentioned the quickly scrapped penguin's moveset being given to Velenna. I instantly thought "Alright, Velenna should be given a penguin skin then." Then i realized that I don't recall you ever mentioning cosmetics. Would it be more TF2-esque with a loadout system? Or would it be more Overwatch 2-esque with a simple complete skin system? Speaking of Overwatch, I couldn't help but think of an "Ancient Heroes" skinline that gives our favorite bots a familiar look. Some mappings are rather cut and dry, while some really get you to think (Poppett in particular: Tracer? Lucio? D.va? Kiriko????). I also briefly imagined a "Coat" mechanic of sorts. Where you could merely change the color of the bots bodies. Like putting on a new coat of paint. (As you can see, I'm kinda using War Bots as a cope and a way to wean me off of Overwatch. Or at least attempting to.)
What would the community jokes and memes be like? What would be our nerf Genji? I can already see a meme about Necross, but I won't since I plan to make that one a reality eventually.
Bot Select? I want to see all the bots lined up in rows and columns.
Of course. What game would be complete without your favorite thing: figures! Not to make you drool, but imagine if a Wilderoad figure was right there on your desk. Or Formann? Or Poppett? Or Velenna? Or Navea? Or etc etc etc.
It's all so just- GRRRrrr OHHHhhh, so enticing, so magical, so beautiful. I'm proud to say that I'm on the ground floor of War Bots. I love being a part of this. I can't wait for what comes next.
Sincerely, G
PS: I have absolutely no idea when the rest of The Gardeners posts will be finished. I have solid ideas on all of them (minus one). I just haven't had the time to write them. This week I'm focusing on a big midterm and have the usual load of homework. I'm trying to get a lot done this week so Spring Break I can truly relax and write to my hearts content. Of course, the biggest roadblock to my writing is that I'm busy writing a script for my university's comedy skit program club. And that has a deadline of the week after Spring Break. So yeah. Sometime after that I suppose. I will let you know that the next Gardener I'll be going over is the one with blades.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings!

Journey Across the Disneyverse: Third Day
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Animation Studios, I'm rewatching some of my favorite films from the studio.
This were the ones that I watched today.
1 - Aladdin (1992)
Tumblr media
One of my father's favorite Disney films and one that I held a lot of kinship because of that.
It's a very heartfelt and sincere story, even with all the anachronistic jokes. In any other movie, a character like the Genie would be unbelievably annoying, but Robin Williams makes the character so likable and charismatic that in end you want to hear more and more of his celebrity and pop culture jokes.
Now, my favorite random trivia about this movie. In the Brazilian dub, the song Arabian Nights has one lyric that can be translated as "And too many orgies". To my knowledge, no one ever took issue with this lyric.
Right wing evangelical groups swear that the "Good teenager, take out your clothes" made into the Brazilian dub, but the first song literally has the word "orgies" in it, and no one batted an eye.
In Brazil, we have a Disney movie where the word orgy is said, and it's so obvious that the Disney+ subtitles try to cover up the fact by ridiculously trying to gaslight the audience into thinking the lyric is "And too many parties"
2 - Lion King (1994)
Tumblr media
Disney's most epic movie.
Everything about this movie is epic, big, and thunderous.
People often compared this to Hamlet, but I think it's more complicated.
The film runs on a very ancient mythology archetype of son taking revenge on the uncle for killing the father. Heck, Osiris, Set, and Horus from Egyptian Mythology have the same story dynamics as Mufasa, Scar, and Simba. Hamlet itself is inspired by an older Scandinavian legend of a hero king named Anleth.
It's also worth pointing out how in the Shakespeare play, the ghost is a more malevolent presence, and the avenging the dead father is Hamlet's start of darkness, while in Lion King, Mufasa's presence is much more uplifting, and avenging the death father is treated like an rite of passage of sorts, granting Simba maturity.
3 - The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Tumblr media
A very underrated film, overshadowed by both Frozen, and to a lesser extent, Tangled as well.
Although I agree with the criticism of the first African-American Disney Princess staying most of the film as a frog, the frog transformation is so crucial to the plot, than changing it would create a whole, completely different film.
There something very charming about setting a fairy tale so late in the US during the roaring twenties. I love how the film incorporates many fairy tale archetypes like the Good King, the fairy godmother, the wicked sorcerer with the residents of New Orleans. New Orleans looks beautiful and bigger than life on this film, and thanks to the fairy tale archetypes and magical elements, the city becomes an alternative, magical world.
Ray's death continues to be one of Disney's bravest creative choice in the last twenty years. They could bring him back with magic like they did so many times, but they manage to create a beautiful and bittersweet farewell to him.

Late Night Group Call [Comfortember 2023]
Characters: Mina, Denki, Sero, and Kirishima Manga/Anime: Boku No Hero Academia/My Hero Academia Genre: Comfort (but more fluff, I think) Summary: Random late night group call with some of the squad when it just so happens that Mina can't fall asleep. It's like they just know. Word Count: 642
Prompt 14: Late Night Phone Calls
Mina lays in her bed in her dark room, staring at the ceiling where a few glow-in-the-dark stickers faintly form some sort of sky. They seem to have dulled somewhat over the past hour. Maybe it’s just her eyes.
Her phone is on the nightstand, vibrating yet again.
It's 2:37am.
That's the fifth time it's gone off in the past ten minutes. Apparently she's not the only one still awake.
She answers on the sixth call back.
“Mina!” Comes Denki’s voice, whispering but excited. “I told you guys she was still up!”
"Are you sure you didn't wake her up by calling back a million times?” Sero asks.
Mina smiles. Of course it's a group call. "Hey, guys!"
Kirishima’s voice adds to the conversation. “I'm seriously sorry if we woke you up, Mina. Denki was really insistent…”
Sero chuckles, sounding on the verge of sleep himself. “He was only so insistent with you, though. Probably because he knows Bakugo would kill him.”
“I have a cute black dress for the funeral,” Mina quips, and Denki's whine is loud and clear.
“Aw, c’mon guys, that's mean.”
Mina adjusts the phone on her pillow as she turned on her side. “Did you even call him once?”
“Blasty’s phone probably isn't even on.” Denki replies.
Mina furrows her brow. “He can't have it off, what if there's an emergency?”
Sero hums. “As long as he's not on night shift, it's not his issue. You know how protective he is of his beauty sleep.”
“I refuse to believe Bakugo is completely unreachable once he falls asleep,” Mina insists.
“You try to call him, then,” Kirishima challenges.
“And that's coming from his right hand man,” Sero says with a laugh.
Mina grins. “If something really came up, I definitely would but I like not having to run for my life first thing in the morning.” She purses her lips. “I also value my eardrums in their current state.”
Kirishima hums an agreement. “I'm sure he has it on ‘do not disturb’ at the very least, with, like, special permissions to get through.”
Denki mocks their aggressive friend. “Layers of protection so I know for sure you wanna DIE when I pick up!”
The group bursts into giggles.
“How come Jiro's not on the call?” Mina asks.
Sero pipes up at that. “She went to bed even before Bakugo. Apparently her monthly came a week early and with a vengeance.”
Mina winces. “Oh, that sucks… I wish she had sent me a message.”
Denki makes a sound in his throat. “I checked on her before lights out. She was doing ok. Just lethargic and low energy. And hopped up on her favourite painkillers. I made her a hot water bottle. She was drinking that tea that knocks her out all night.”
Scattered applause sounds over the call.
“Good job, very manly,” comes Kirishima's approving voice.
“He had no choice but to learn after Mina’s demonstration,” Sero says with a grin in his voice.
Denki makes an affronted sound. “You guys can't tell me either of you can look at a girl carrying on like normal and be able to tell her insides are running war-level battle simulations!”
There's a silence that sounds like the two boys are sharing a look.
“We added you to the tracking calendar for a reason,” Sero says.
“And I very much appreciate that.”
Kirishima yawns. “I'm apologizing now if I just suddenly stop talking.”
“No worries, man,” Denki assures him. “That was the point of the call.”
Mina lights up at that, somewhere in the back of her own increasingly drowsy mind. “So I don't have to hang up tonight? Hoo. Ray.”
Sero lets out an amused breath. “We got you, Pinkie.”
Mina smiles at that, snuggling deeper into her pillow and bunching up her blanket to cuddle like a body pillow.

Anime Recommendations!
Hi everyone, I hope y’all are safe and happy! With quarantine still in place (at least in my country), I’m gonna keep the random rec lists coming! I’ve been watching a lotttt of animes and rewatching favourites, so I thought I’d share some of my favourites of all time! A lot of them are pretty mainstream, but for my friends who aren’t really into anime, these will get you hooked! In no particular order, let’s get started!
1. Snow White with the Red Hair, 24 episodes
Tumblr media
This is hands down my favourite anime of all time. This shoujo anime make me feel so happy and it’s so wholesome, honestly such a feel good anime. Without spoiling too much, it’s about a herbalist named Shirayuki who ends up having to flee her home country and ends up meeting Prince Zen and goes to live in his country. The cast of characters in the anime is so good, there’s not a character to dislike. The genuine build up of friendship and eventual romance is just so sweet please watch.
2. Demon slayer (26 episodes)
Tumblr media
One of the best anime I’ve watched this past year. This anime has amazing plot, awesome animation and a great cast of characters. This anime follows Tanjiro as he becomes a demon slayer after a demon killed his family. Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko were the only survivors but Nezuko was turned in a demon and now Tanjiro is on a journey to change he back into a human. If you are into anime with amazing fight scenes, I highly recommend.
3. Hunter x Hunter (148 episodes)
Tumblr media
I am currently watching this anime and it honestly made it onto my lists of favourite anime super quickly. The series starts with Gon and his quest to become a pro hunter and find his dad and goes on from there. With so many episodes and arcs, you can’t stop watching. The characters immediately hooked me on this show, Killua and Gon’s friendship is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen in anime, I literally want to adopt both of them. This anime is so heartwarming but also kinda dark and action packed.
4. Haikyuu!! (73 episodes, on-going)
Tumblr media
My favourite sports anime my god. Haikyuu follows a high school volleyball team as they try to make it to nationals. This series made me so much more emotional than I thought it would, but you get so involved with the team and characters and want them to succeed. All of the characters from all of the teams are also fantastic and hilarious. If you need a fun but exciting anime, please please please watch Haikyuu!!
5. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes)
Tumblr media
Where to even begin. I would say this is one of the most popular anime and for good freaking reason. Without giving too much away, this anime follows brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric as they go on a quest to get their bodies back. Honestly this is one of my fav animes, if you like awesome fight scenes and really intriguing plot, you will love this anime.
6. Yona of the Dawn (24 episodes)
Tumblr media
Another amazing anime but sadly, unfinished. I think this anime is best to watch w/o knowing very much. Just know that there is really good characters and character development and a very attractive love interest :))))
7. Soul eater (51 episodes)
Tumblr media
One of the first animes I ever watched and as I remember it’s hella awesome, if you like halloween then the whole atmosphere of this anime will intrigue you. The fight scenes in this are really fun and so are the characters. If you need a fun medium length anime, I would recommend this one!
8. Inuyasha (193 episodes)
Tumblr media
This anime is worth all the hype in my opinion. The plot was great, the characters are fantastic and romance is so freaking cute I can’t. I’m also a sucker for asshole characters who are secretly really sweet.
9. Fruits Basket (2019) (25 episodes (S1), S2 on-going)
Tumblr media
This is the cutest anime. The whole cast characters is amazing and you get so attached so fast. The protagonist is so sweet and optimistic and I really just wanna protect her. I went into this knowing next nothing and I think that’s the best way to do it. The 2001 version is good too but 2019 has better animation and is closer to managa (and has more episodes!).
10. My Hero Academia (88 episodes, on-going)
Tumblr media
I love this anime with my whole heart. There is an adorable cast of characters and amazing fight scenes, I love this sm. It’s set in a world where like 95% of the population has ‘quirks’ which are basically super powers but not all of them are super powerful. Super heroes protect cities and the anime follows a high school where the students are training to become heroes. The main character is born without a quirk but through some crazy circumstances he ends up acquiring one. In my opinion this anime is worth the hype.
11. Ouran Highschool Host Club (26 episodes)
Tumblr media
This one is wild. Ouran Highschool Host club is so iconic and it’s hilarious, I laughed out loud watching this one so much. Honestly I went into this knowing nothing and I think its funnier that way.
12. Yuri!!! On Ice (13 episodes)
Tumblr media
THIS ANIME. The first sports anime w/ canon LGBTQ+ romance and its beautiful. I love the style, the skating, the music, the characters, just everything about it. This follows Yuri Katsuki, a professional figure skater from Japan and his skating career. After messing up a major championship, Yuri is lost and doesn’t know what to do w/ his career. After seeing a video of Yuri skate, his idol Victor, a skating legend, shows up to be his coach. Please watch this anime.
13. Attack on Titan (62 episodes, on-going)
Tumblr media
If you are looking for a badass action anime this is the one for you. Humanity has fallen to the mercy of giant man-eating titans, and the people that survived live within a walled city to keep the titans out. This anime is a little disturbing and violent but it is so badass. Also Levi, the most badass character ever, makes this entire anime worth watching.
14. Ao Haru Ride (12 episodes)
Tumblr media
Hands down my favourite romance anime. This anime is so freaking cute and it gave me so many fuzzy feelings. The animation is also super nice so that is always a plus. It follows Futaba and Kou who liked each other in middle school but were separated. They meet again in high school but they have both changed so much. If you want a romance anime I really recommend this one.
15. Naruto (720 episodes)
Tumblr media
This is a freaking classic and really long. Almost everyone and their mother has heard of this anime or watched some of it before. Basically it’s about ninjas and follows mainly Naruto Uzumaki who want to eventually be the leader of his village but his ninja skills need a lot of work. I honestly didn’t think I would love this anime as much as I did but its just so good. It is a very big commitment to finish though so be prepared.
16. Your Lie in April (22 episodes)
Tumblr media
Well this anime is literally beautiful. It is centered around 2 teens w/ major musical talent. It gets deep very fast but its also light hearted and wholesome. This anime made me cry like a baby so get your tissues ready.

Disney VHS Request REview Aladdin
So I have a fondness for old home media formats and have a bunch of Disney movies on VHS ,thought it would be fun to let my mutuals pick which ones I watch .And to answer your question ,I am watching these specific films on VHS ,cause it legit adds to the nostalgic feel
Requested by @goodanswerfoxmonster ,we shall look at Aladdin
Tumblr media
The plot of this 1992 film is street urchin Aladdin (Scott Weinger ) gains posession of a magic lamp holding an all powerful Genie (Robin Williams ) who will grant Aladdin three wishes which Aladdin uses tomake himself a prince and woo PRinxess Jasmine (Linda Larkin ).Can Aladdin not only stand against the machinations of the royal vizier Jafar (Johnathan Freeman ) but also his fears of being himself ?
So do I have nostalgia for this film:Yes I do! Saw it many times as a kid ,as well as its sequels and TV series (I mightve saw Return of Jafar first ,I'm not sure ) .As a kidI thought it was a very good movie but as an adult......I have the same exact opinion
Yeah sorry folks I dont have anything groundbreaking to say about this film, most people agree it is pretty darn good, and I think it is pretty darn good. Its not among my favorites but everything is pretty solid in terms of entertainment I feel ....I am actually at a loss at what to talk about on this
I think Aladdin is a pretty solid protagonist with a solid character journey with his own insecurities while also being a very clever and resourceful hero .JAsmine is I think my third favorite Disney Princess (Behind Repunzel and Belle ) and I like the chemistry between the two protags .Side characters are good, love Abu the kleptomaniac monky and the Magic Carpet who is a character in its own right .The film, even seen on VHS and 30 years later ,I maintain is one of Disneys best looking films ,the animation is spetacular
The villain is great ,Jafar is a good mix of classic villainy while being a good foil to our hero, our hero is a poor kid ,our villain is this elegant guy in high power ,and that is his defining thing ,he DESIRES power. He might be one of the best power hungry villains I have seen ,because no matter however powerful he is.....Its never enough for him,and this comes to bit him in the butt ,which tends to happen with villains. HE is also just a good classic style villain, very elegant, cackling ,cracking puns and just enjoying his own evil .He is wonderfully designed and animated by Andreas Deja and I must give credit toJohnathan Freeman ,Jafars voice actor ,who is so comitted to the character he has played him various animated projects ,video games and even on STAGE over the past 30 years .I also must mention he has one of the best minions ,Iago ,his parrot voiced Gilbert Gottfried who is really funny .I dunno I love that there are moments where they are friends (Till the end at least ) and the contrast of this loud mouthed crass bird with this refined villain ,they are a good duo
I also think the film has some great action scenes ,including possibly the best climax to any Disney film next to Sleeping Beauty . The final fight between Aladdin and Jafar is legit exciting starting as a struggle, then becoming Jafar throwing spells at Aladdin and then escalating to Jafar becoming a GIANT COBRA while Aladdin battle him with a sword. Its cool I like ir
Of course ya cant talk about this movie.....Without talking about one character/performance. The Genie is just such a perfect melding of character animation and actor .Much has been said of Robin Williams performance with is various adlibs and impressions giving the character a zany feel ,but one must give credit to ERic Goldberg ,the animator who makes the character a litteral shape shifter and is somehow able to match Williams chaotic energy .Comedically just cause of how random some of the refrences are not all the jokes work......But he is really funny most of the time .Most of all his friendship with Aladdin and desire for freedom. Also "Youll always be a prince to me".....Always makes me misty eyed
Now lets talk about the songs cause this soundtrack is great....And it is kind of a miracle they are .See originally the songs were done by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman ....But then Ashman died and they tried to keep as many songs as they could but there were story changes so they got Tim Rice to work with Alan Menken ....So we went from Little Shop of Horrors guy to the Jesus Christ Superstar Guy ,kind of a weird mix .I am impressed by the work of all three and how it all fits together .Not gonna rank the songs, they are all great but I am gonna talk about them .Also will JUST talk about the songs in the film, as much as I love Ashmans deleted songs like the heartfelt PRoud of Your Boy and the villain song Humiliate the Boy (And its kind of tragic subtext )
Arabian Nights while I like Bruce Adlers singing and the actual instrumentals(And it became kind of Aladdins theme song ) is for me the weakest song.It sets a mysterious mood which is hilariously subverted by Robin Williams adlibbing a bunch of stuff as a merchant ,but its just not a favorite
One Jump Ahead is great ,I thought it was an Ashman song but its actually a Rice one,its a great comical intro to Aladdin as a character and I like short softer reprise
Friend Like Me ...Is the best.It is the best song .Contender for best scene.Robin Williams justs add so much energy ,the animation is so wild ,and Its just such a fun show stopper
Prince Ali is another great showcase for Williams this one is just such a fun hype song for Aladdin when disgusised as a prince
PArt of your World is one of the most romantic scenes in Disney ,Aladdin and Jasmine seeing the world on a magic carpet is just so damn lovely and the song is just so sweet
Prince Ali Reprise......Is one hell of an underrated villain song . They actually went through several possible villain songs for Jafar , till they decided to have him sing a reprise of Prince Ali .Its pretty short and I can see someone being disappointed they didnt use say Why Me (A villain song which gives us more about his character ).....I think this was the right choice cause it his BEST moment in the film ,he is GLEEFULLLY taking down Aladdin by VENEMOUSLY spitting back his own theme song, now thats a villain !!! .Also it is punctuated by a TERRIFYING evil laugh
Now Question time
1.Is Iago Furry Bait
Oh most certainly not
2.Is Jafar like KINDA hot
Honestly he kind of is . Johnathan Freemans voice is alluring and I love his elegance
3.do you enjoy this movie more or The Thief of Baghdad?
I like this film.....But The Thief of Baghdad is just better ,it appeals more to the side of me that loves fantasy and the performances are just so good
OVerall good movie

Character ask: The Frog Princess, Vasilisa the Wise
Tagged by @ariel-seagull-wings
Favorite Thing About Them: Her intelligence and skill. I love that she knows magic, that she's an excellent seamstress and baker too (in the versions where she makes the Tzar's shirt and bread herself, that is), and that she was cursed because someone (her father) was jealous of her cleverness. Fairy tale princesses often earn jealousy, but usually for their beauty, not their brains. She flouts the stereotype that fairy tale princesses are shallow and only valuable for their looks, and she flouts it with flying colors!
Also, I like seeing an animal transformation fairy tale where the heroine is the one transformed into an animal and the male hero is the one who's always human. More often the reverse is true (Beauty and the Beast, The Frog Prince, Snow White and Rose Red, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, etc.); it's refreshing to sometimes see a gender-flip of the usual "animal bridegroom" trope.
Least Favorite Thing About Them: The fact that in some versions, she has magical servants make the shirt and bake the bread that the Tzar commanded instead of doing it herself. That's cheating: the Tzar's order was that his son's wives each make him a shirt and bake him a loaf of bread, not their servants. Fortunately, there are other versions where she does it herself, and those are the versions I prefer.
Also, the fact that after being so active and wise in the first part of the story, she becomes just a silent damsel in distress after she becomes Koschei the Deathless's prisoner.
Three Things I Have in Common With Them:
*I'm intelligent, or at least I hope I am.
*I'm partly of Russian descent.
*I'm a decent dancer.
Three Things I Don’t Have in Common With Them:
*I don't know magic.
*Neither my looks nor my dancing ability would make ball guests stare in amazement.
*I have a good relationship with my father.
Favorite Line:
Her advice to Ivan when she urges him to go to sleep instead of worrying the night away:
The morning is wiser than the evening.
From the Let's Pretend radio adaptation "The Enchanted Frog":
The soul is the thing one tries to find When choosing a mate, keep this in mind. A lovely face may conceal a shrew, Or ugliness bring you blessings true.
BROTP: Her magical servants, in the versions where they exist. In crossover land, I could also see her becoming friends with the Grimms' Frog King, or any other fairy tale characters who go through an animal transformation.
OTP: Prince Ivan.
NOTP: Koschei the Deathless, her old father-in-law the Tzar, or her own father who cursed her.
Random Headcanon: She isn't completely inactive during the last part of the story – from inside Koschei's palace she casts a spell to give the power of speech to all the animals Ivan meets on his journey so they can help him.
Unpopular Opinion: She would have made an excellent Disney princess. It's too bad that they'll presumably never adapt the story because The Princess and the Frog already exists. Oh well... maybe someday they'll adapt the Finnish variation where she's transformed into a mouse instead of a frog.
Song I Associate With Them: None at the moment.
Favorite Picture of Them:
These illustrations showing her dancing and magically conjuring up swans (or doves) at the ball in her human form:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These illustrations of her in her frog form:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this one showing her first meeting with Ivan as a frog, with the symbolic specter of her human form looming over the scene:

Walt Disney Animated Pictures Studios from Worst to Best-Part Five: The GREATEST Films
Salutations, random people of the internet who certainly won’t read this! I am an Ordinary Schmuck! I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons!
Now we’re getting into it with this Walt Disney Animated Pictures Studios ranking! This time, we’re talking about the movies that are simply the greatest. The films that I’ll always be in the mood for, what with them being fun, creative, and, at times, simply beautiful. Not the best just yet, but these next few movies are far from being the worst. And we’re going through them by starting with a movie that I’m sure some of you are surprised that it’s ranked this high.
#20. Hercules-If you’re hoping for a grand, epic retelling of Greece’s greatest mythological hero…you’re not going to get it.
But if you’re looking for a cartoonish comedy with a decent amount of heart and some insanely catchy music, you’ll get that in spades.
There’s not much to say about Hercules other than that. It’s a fun movie, but it’s one that’s definitely not for everyone. I certainly had a blast, but I can understand why someone else wouldn’t. The stars just don’t line up for them.
#19. Tarzan-I feel like I can talk forever about what I like in Tarzan, and, really, there’s quite a bit.
Tarzan’s journey to discovering who he is and where he belongs is easy to sympathize with and is engaging to see him come to his own inclusion.
Jane is a decent love interest, who is bubbly and excited to learn about everything, while also getting a chuckle or two out of me when necessary.
Kala is up there as one of the best Disney moms, doing her darndest to support Tarzan, letting him know that he always has a place in the family, and especially a place in her heart.
Clayton is a decent villain, whose motivations are simple but his personality is what wins me over as this impatient meathead that clashes well with Tarzan. Also, he’s a contender for having one of the darkest moments in Disney’s history.
Speaking of dark, there’s some effective and tense peril in this film, with three exciting set pieces that gets the blood pumping as Tarzan tries to survive a predator, whether it’s a leopard or a Clayton.
I could go on forever, but I also don’t want this list to go on for too long. Besides, while there’s a lot to love with Tarzan, there are issues that hold it back.
Tantor’s blind hatred for Tarzan is pretty messed up. He bullies Tarzan from infancy to adulthood, never giving him a chance for no reason. If there was a scene that showed that he hated humans, I might understand, but as is, it’s harsh as hell.
Terk and Tantor are not as funny as I remember them. Honestly, I’m pretty sure they were funnier in the TV show. But here? Eeeeeeeeh, they have moments…or A moment.
Tarzan’s close proximity to Jane can get…creepy. Very creepy.
Not to mention that Jane’s conclusion in the end is pretty rushed, as it’s hard to believe that she’ll make it after the short time she’s spent with Tarzan.
And then there’s the Phil Collins songs. Whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em, you gotta admit that it would have hit harder to have the characters sing, not Phil Collins. Imagine if Tala sang “You’ll Be in My Heart” or if Tarzan sang “Strangers Like Me.” Wouldn’t that be more powerful, even if it was by a smidge?
Again, I could go on and on. And maybe I will one day. But to keep things brief, I’ll say that while Tarzan is far from perfect, the things that work well work enough where I’ll be willing to sit through what’s imperfect just to get to the good stuff. And, as I’ve said, there’s quite a bit of that.
#18. Atlantis: The Lost Empire-Stop me if you’ve heard this one: A heavily underrated Disney film that tries to be more mature and adult compared to the others. Sounds familiar, right? Well, this time, I can certainly say that it is one of the more effective attempts. The story is fairly simple as it’s an expedition that heads out to find the lost city of Atlantis, but the simplicity helps add to the main theme of preservation and how taking from lost civilizations for the “pursuit of knowledge” isn’t as noble as people think. Sure, there’s still a princess that needs saving and that kind of shows Disney’s true colors, but is that really worth complaining about? I mean, look at everything else this movie does right compared to that.
It has some incredible animation aided with a comic book-like art style that leads to some incredible shots and expressions. The character designs are also top-notch, saying everything you need to know about them just by the way that they look…though one might be a little offensive to a particular group. I’m not sure.
I AM sure, though, that the comedy that comes from these characters are pretty funny, with Vinny in particular getting the most laughs with his dry wit and line delivery. And as for character development, Milo’s is pretty solid, going from meek nerd to brave hero in a convincing manner. At least, to me he does.
If there’s anything worth complaining about, it’s the pacing, as the movie feels like it’s on fast-forward at times. Things go by so fast that there’s hardly time to breathe once we get to the main voyage.
“Also this movie is directed by Joss Weadon.”
Oh, right…he’s a piece of s**t and we hate him now…Yikes.
Still, if you’re willing to look past that (and maybe some racism?), you’re in for a fun time. Not a flawless adventure, but still pretty entertaining.
#17. Big Hero 6-I feel like the best way to look at this is to not see it as a Disney movie. Instead, it’s more like a mid-tear Marvel movie. It has an end credit scene, a Stan Lee cameo, and a solid mix of comedy and action, and all the makings that cause Marvel to be an easy box-office smash…Unless you’re Morbius.
Though, the fact that this one is animated gives Big Hero 6 more of an edge. I always feel like animation is the best way to bring superheroes to life because, when animated, the larger than life powers can be explored to their fullest potential and the action can be much more grandiose. Whereas live action is limited to what an actual human can do and has to rely on CGI…which is just animation with a cooler name. So I do think that Big Hero 6’s animation helps it be better than even the most mediocre of Marvel movies just for the spectacle it’s medium is allowed to be. That and the characters, primarily Hiro and Baymax. The other characters are more about being supportive towards Hiro rather than having actual arcs, but their personalities are entertaining enough to offer a good time. But Hiro is the true star of the show, going through the motions to learn that there’s a right way to process grief than doing…what he tries to do. And Baymax steals the show, being equal parts funny and wholesome, crafting an endearing relationship with Hiro that genuinely tugged at the heartstrings at certain points.
Unfortunately, like most Marvel movies, the worst thing about it was the villain. I won’t give much away, but trust me when I say that everything wrong with this villain is summed up in “That was his mistake.” He at least looks cool, but…that’s about it. The villain doesn’t hurt the movie too much, but I feel like the reason why I’m saying that is because I’m a fan of both superheroes and animation, meaning that this film checks off all the best boxes for me. So, if my bias is showing, then I guess that’s my mistake. Still, I’d be willing to argue that Big Hero 6 is always going to be a fun time for me.
#16. The Emperor’s New Groove-If there’s one word that describes this movie perfectly, it’s, “iconic.” The jokes, the characters, and even the facial expressions all line up for a movie that NO ONE will be able to forget. I mean, this is the movie that gifted us with Kronk. KRONK! The funniest and most quotable character in all of fiction! Not just in Disney, but in fiction.
The Emperor’s New Groove might not be as grand as other Disney films, or even as epic as its original concept, but that’s a bit of an unfair judgment. Yes, there are some movies better than it, but The Emperor’s New Groove is still pretty great in a vacuum. Kuzco’s arc into becoming a better person is handled well, his friendship with Apa is endearing as it is believable, and Izma makes for a fun, if not insane, antagonist that adds to the whole package that is an entertaining film. It might not be the objective best, but it is pretty fun. And who am I to knock down a movie for being fun?
#15. Zootopia-Once upon a time, I would consider this movie to be in the top best Disney films, and for good reason. It has stellar animation that makes the characters seem 2D with a 3D coat of paint, some great comedy, and two characters with an entertaining dynamic and adorable relationship. And, on top of all that, Zootopia also tries to have a solid message about prejudice. Some say it’s a bit preachy, but to that I say, “LOOK AT THE WORLD WE LIVE IN!” A six-year-old African American boy got arrested for picking flowers off a man’s lawn while waiting at the bus stop! No s**t it’s preachy! We need this stuff hammered into our skulls if s**t like this happens!
(And that story is true, by the way. Look it up.)
As for something I do agree on, the predator and prey analogy can be a bit iffy. Predators, despite what the movie preaches, are biologically designed to eat and kill prey. That’s just nature. So to have predators be the representation of every minority ever while preys are the ones that take advantage of them can be..rough, to say the very least. I will say that I do appreciate that even the main character has prejudices of her own, and even tries to work through them, meaning that not everyone is absolved from this issue. So, while iffy, it does come from good intentions. I won’t say Zootopia is the perfect movie to talk about race and prejudice, but it’s at least enough to transition kids into the discussion. It could have been done better, but it also could have been done way worse.
(Remember that shock collar idea from the original plot? Yikes…)
#14. Pinocchio-Pinocchio has two jobs: Scare the crap out of kids and break the hearts of adults. If you missed your chance to be afraid of donkeys and whales as a kid, then you'll at least learn great sadness when you see characters like Pinocchio and Geppetto being in distress as you get older. Pleasure Island remains one of the darkest places Disney has ever created, with Monstro the whale being pretty threatening-looking. As for stuff like Pinocchio crying when in a bad situation or Geppetto being so worried about what happened to his son, it tears you up inside, I'll say that much. But aside from the solid emotional beats, Pinocchio also has a decent story. Pinocchio learning to be a real boy is handled well enough, making his reward feel earned after the hardships he went through and the bad choices he improved himself on. Maybe the movie tortured him a little too much, but, again, this movie has two jobs: breaking hearts and scaring kids.
(Don't smoke or drink, kids. Otherwise, you'll turn into a donkey and get sent into salt mines.)
#13. Cinderella-Cinderella is the movie I picture when I think of Disney. It's a charming retelling of a classic fairytale, fit with wonderful animation, beautiful singing, some pretty genuinely funny comedy, a sweet happy ending, and, hey, a decent princess. Cinderella is still a woman who needs mice of all things to save her, but her personality is still one of the best. She's kind and compassionate to everyone around her but still smart enough to know she's in a bad situation and witty enough to call some people out on it. It's mostly the cat, but it's better than nothing. Cinderella may not be a Moana or a Rapunzel, but at least she didn't eat an apple from a stranger like a naive child. The one thing that actually bugs me is the Prince, who's more of a plot device than an actual character. He's pretty forgettable and nothing like that himbo I've heard so much about in that straight-to-video movie that's apparently good (I'll take your word for it). Still, this is a classic movie, and I'd be dreaming if I put it any lower.
#12. The Little Mermaid-Like Cinderella, The Little Mermaid is a movie that comes to my mind when I think of Disney. Primarily, it's when I think of the point when Disney reached the Disney Renaissance. Every movie before it had a notable charm with the occasional fluctuations in quality, but none compared to The Little Mermaid. The animation's much grander, more fluid, and more expressive than past Disney films, all being a spectacle to see. What's also a spectacle is the music. Every song is catchy as all forms of hell while also giving me goosebumps at times. When Ariel started singing "Part of Your World," I remembered what's so enchanting about these movies. And we haven't even gotten to the characters yet, with each one being entertaining in their own way, especially Ursula. She's yet another villain that's both funny and scary, but where past Disney baddies attempted to get on her level, Ursula's the one who perfected the role. The only real problem would be this movie's prince and princess. Ariel at least has a fun personality of being obsessed with the human world, but Eric is...uninteresting. Bland. Devoid of any unique character traits other than wanting to marry a sixteen-year-old. By the way, Ariel's sixteen. Just...think some of you should know that. And I wouldn't have issues with how boring Eric was if he also wasn't the main goal for Ariel. She's willing to go through a lot of danger for this boring man who she knows nothing about. Which isn't something kids should look up to. Still, I love this movie for everything else it does right. It's fun, spectacular, and, at times, even beautiful. Everything I look for in a Disney movie.
#11. Beauty and the Beast-"BeLlE eXpErIeNcEd StOcKhOlM sYnDrOmE! HuRr-HuRr-HuRr-HuRr!"
There, I've made the same stupid joke everyone else made. Let's move on.
Beauty and the Beast is the first animated movie ever to be nominated for best picture at the Oscars, and...Yeah, it's pretty damn good. The characters are fun and charming, the songs are both visual and auditory spectacles, and the movie does something no Disney film did before it. It gives personality to both the Prince and Princess. While past princesses did have a personality, their princes were as dull as a plank of wood. Here, it's different. Belle is an intelligent lady who knows when to be brash if the situation calls for it, and Beast is a savage beast who slowly and convincingly learns how to settle down his...beastness. The one thing that doesn't really work is the development of their romance. If there's anything the movie could benefit from, it would be a longer runtime dedicated to showing more of Belle and the Beast spending time together to make it more believable that they fell in love. But, at the same time, this movie is clearly going for that "fairytale brought to life" feeling, which the romance, as is, still works well for. I guess it all depends on whether or not you want Beauty and the Beast to be more of a movie or more of a fairytale. And while I would personally choose a movie more than a fairytale, I can't really complain here. This was a beautiful film that deserved its nomination. But it wasn’t the best. None of these movies are. A lot of them are worthy enough to be contenders, just couldn’t make it to the top ten. And you’ll see why as we finally talk about the BESTDisney movies…Tomorrow.

Note
Miss owl, can I ask your opinion on the sequel trilogy?
"Unfortunately" I am one of those people who hated it.
But I don't judge, although I keep wondering how they managed to ruin something that was so beautiful.
I'm not sure where they're going, I mean The Mandalorian was spectacular but The Book of Boba Fett is letting me down a bit.
I'm seriously scared for the Obi Wan series, I think it's either going to be spectacular or it'll suck, with no middle ground.
My expectations are very high, I want them to explore Obi Wan's pain and the consequences that the collapse of the republic and Anakin's betrayal have had on him.
Above all, his main mission is to protect Luke so I hope to see that too.
I am...torn. Honestly.
I think the Force Awakens could've been a lot better (needed more Luke and the OG-Trio) but I honestly really enjoyed it. I thought Kylo Ren was interesting as this guy who had everything but turned out poisoned, that Rey was amazing and how she had nothing but turned out so good, that Finn was sweet and had such growth, that Poe was funny and bright and so talented, and that the chemistry between all felt really good and could grow into something great.
But the decision to change who Luke is, all to give an excuse to Kylo was where, I felt everything began to shift negatively. They wanted to make Kylo into a brooding anti-hero who needed a woman to forgive him to heal. They made Rey his redemption. All of a sudden, in the Last Jedi, the story was taken from Rey (and it even felt the story itself was taken from Luke and Anakin) and given to Kylo. They wanted him to become Star Wars' face and, by god, they were gonna shoehorn him in to make him appealing in anyway possible...and to do that, they had to erase everything they worked up to in Force Awakens.
Almost all the weak writing scenes that had to do with other characters could be tied back to this desperation to put Kylo in the forefront and put him intertwined with Rey as a love-interest. The Canto Bight, the random non-Ezra guy who never appeared again, the guy they were there to actually get, the animals, Luke's choices and his bitterness and willingness to kill, Rey's fawning and all of a sudden ease in the ability to turn soft when she was feral beforehand, Leia's movements, the resistances, the side-quests of Poe....it all comes back to this need to change everyone to build Kylo up.
Push Finn with Rose means he becomes a side character who now has a love-interest (and while I do think there is some layer of homophobia and racism, for sure, I also believe it was mainly cause people in charge were so horny for sad white-boy Kylo as a specific reason that was brought through by the horrendous issues the set had towards their POC cast) and is no longer in the way of Kylo's and Rey's affection. Get Poe looking like an idiot who is a playboy and he can just be a not-as-important-Han wannabe. Make Leia just do something sorta cool in space, but mostly just not be there (except for Kylo angst) and we got some girl power...it was like they were trying to check off all the Woke Stuff as limply and quickly as possible to get back to Kylo.
And it hurt them. We didn't get anything that was built up. We were just torn down because they wanted Kylo to sell so desperately.
It's one of the reasons I don't like Kylo Ren and it is for a very meta reason. I'm fine with bastard characters. I'm fine with villains. I'm fine with the idea that we take this spoiled kid who had love and turned terrible and maybe not get a redeeming arc. I'm fine with that. It's actually really interesting to make him more like that, this layered character who was tempted into hate when he had everything, than what they made him out to be.
That is why I have more faith in these shows.
I admit, Book of Boba has some pretty weak writing moments. There are choices that are lackluster and some choppy movements. But I feel like, overall, the show is giving us a shift and focus of Boba. This is about giving Boba to Temura. It's about giving him more character...but not necessarily redeeming him for the audience (cause he sorta didn't need it; he was on the villain side but he was always a gray character doing things for himself) but about him growing for himself. And I love that. I feel that we are going to have a decent show as a whole once it all comes together. Yeah, probably not the strongest of the SW shows, but it is by no means bad in terms of character damnation like the sequels are. Book of Boba may not be the hottest series, but it is not going to ruin Boba's character (knock on wood).
And I think the same for Obi-Wan. Do i hope it is a destroyer of worlds, knocks us back, hits us in the feels, lets us see more of Obi-Wan like we want him? You bet I do. But i am aware that it may not be amazing. But I feel confident that while the show may not be brilliant, they are gonna do the character right.
We can say all we want about those at the top of LucasFilm and Disney (and it should be said and they should be ripped into) but while they have their own weaknesses and problematic tendencies, Jon and Dave have shown their writing and guidance and respect of the characters in Star Wars (and for the fans) are loads better than others who were in charge during the sequels. They actually listened and they actually love Star Wars and these characters. So, I can see them slip on a story-line, yes, I cannot see them slipping on the characters.
Cause at the moment for these shows, Jon and Dave are involved. To me, it feels like they don't trust others to touch these projects. are they gonna make bad choices on writers and directors? Yeah, sadly, that will be the case from time to time, especially as they really get these SW-series rolling, but I feel like they are making themselves aware of the fans and are aware of what is wanted and they are keeping a close eye on the characters (and maybe at times that will make them blind to other weaknesses...but man, if I don't get another Luke fiasco I can forgive them for some story slip-ups...tho still peeved on the Tusken-choice).
So, that was a bit long...and I don't want to elevate Jon and Dave too much because, again, they have problems...but I do, still, have more trust in them and how they are overseeing the series than I do with anyone who was really involved and had control over the sequels.

Character(s)- Kaminari Denki, Kirishima Eijiro, Mina Ashido, Aizawa Shōta
Warnings- just so one comes for me, everyones aged up!!, besides that none :)
Notes- ahh look at me trying to expanding my fandoms
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kaminari Denki
Definitely an arcade date. A simple yet fun idea.
Of course when he invites you, it mostly as a joke. He’s not expecting you to actually answer. But when you did this man is like so excited. If he could he would’ve planned the date that day but of course he waits till the weekend.
It’s a casual date, nothing to fancy just the 2 of you enjoy the little things. It’s one of those dates that feel like a date yet at the same time doesn’t.
It’s like those dates y’all see in like those cheesy romance movies. It’s a very cute date 🥺💕
Of course y’all don’t spend the whole date at the arcade, it was just the first out of many spots. Y’all basically play till y’all can’t anymore then go out to eat.
Y’all end up chatting about anything and everything, whatever topic pops up yall talk about it. At one point you make him charge you phone, limited his ability to talk. But you end up talking the most anyways.
After y’all had eat and enjoyed a dessert or 2, the 2 of y’all go a goof off at some random park. Talking on the swings, climbing up the monkey bars, petting to local cats.
Over all the date was just a simple one but it was probably the best one Denki has ever had and will have.
Before the date, he knew you only as a classmate, not knowing the small things about you. After the date he learns and remembers all the little things about you.
Your favorite color, your dream pet, what you what to do as a side job, how you wanna help people. All the little things.
Denki felt so unbelievably happy when the date was over. He hasn’t be on many dates before more like none so going on a date with you, and it being an actual date made him so happy. Y’all are definitely gonna be going in more dates from now on
Tumblr media
Kirishima Eijiro
Unlike Denki, dates with Kirishima take a bit more time to plan. Kirishima loves to go hiking, so why not go on a hiking date with him.
You honestly had never been on one so you have no idea what y’all would even do but you decided to go along with it. It something new for you to try and plus Kirishima seemed really happy when he was talking about it.
You clearly underestimate him and the date. By a lot. To start of with, y’all met up together just as the sun had reached over the horizon. It was to early.
2nd, he just had to pick the most ‘manliest’ trail. It was an gorgeous trail, don’t think it wasn’t. There were so many animals, birds, and beautiful flowers. But also bugs, and awkward wooden stairs and rocks, and a lot of walking. At that point you weren’t sure if this was a date or extra training.
However, you went along with it. Although it wasn’t your thing, it was nice change of pace and something else fun to try. The date wasn’t bad either, the two of y’all cracked jokes, chatted about the latest gossip at the school and about y’all’s works study, and just talking about random topics.
At one point y’all ended up holding hands and walking shoulder to shoulder, until however the 2 of y’all didn’t even know how or when y’all did it. The only time y’all noticed it was when Kirishima tried to head off into a bush to pee but next he knew you just continued to follow him. His flustered face was so unmanly.
After hours and hours of talking, sunset came and you noticed that y’all weren’t near the entrance of the trail. You brought your concern with him, but he simply smiled, grabbed you hand once again and asked, “Trust me. You’ll love it.”
There was no way you couldn’t trust that smile. So you continued to follow him until the sun began to dip under the horizon. And an hour before the light had disappeared completely, Kirishima brought you to a lovely field and a small picnic area
You were speechless, you were definitely not expecting that. It was so strange yet cute. So while you stood there, speechless, Kirishima began to unpack a bunch of snacks, of course ones that didn’t need to be referated. Once he set them all out, he looked back at you and smiled sheepishly, “Hehe, I hope you don’t mind a pinic date.”
and of course you loved it. The date lasted on for about 2 more hours before yall decided to head back. Although the walk back was scary and surprising a lot shorter bc he apparently knew a short cut, it was still fun. The date was very new and nice, it was very different from any date you went on before. So this just might become a regular thing for you.
Tumblr media
Mina Ashido
a night out on the town all the way. Kinda like Kaminari but not at the same time...
Even though the date is technically at night. The 2 of y’all spend the day together anyways. Not going out and partying, but lazing around the house doing nothing. Mina liked to call it your girl time where y’all gossip, watch rom-coms, fantasize about the future, sending each other memes, simply stuff like that.
It wasn’t until around 5 when the date was finally starting. Y’all would get all dressed up, do each other’s make up, complement the hell out of each other, flirt, and try on like 5 different outfits before finally heading out.
The night started off relatively calm. The 2 of y’all would start the date off by going out to dinner at a somewhat fancy restaurant. Where y’all would continued to gossip and talk about random things.
After the dinner date the 2 of y’all would sneak off to an ice cream parlor and enjoy an ice or 2 together. Completely ruining y’all’s outfits. Besides the dinner date and the ice cream, everything after that wasn’t planned at all. It was all up to Mina where y’all would go.
To the club! Is the first place Mina’s gonna drag you too. It was popular club too where citizens, heroes and even villains would attend. The only rule that’s enforced at the clubs is: no sharing your real identity with a stranger. Besides that it’s a free for all.
Dancing, drinking, partying. They do it all, and y’all definitely do it all. Of course still having a sense of responsibility, y’all don’t drink too much but y’all definitely make that up on the dance floor.
While dancing you even ran into a few friends and decided to join their little party. Y’all did everything: drinking games, dance, encourage fights, ate till y’all couldn’t stand, threw it all up in the bathroom then did it again. You were pretty sure you saw some people from the league of villains but who cares. You were on a date not a night patrol.
Of course y’all aren’t super human well technically you are butttt so eventually even y’all had to call it quiets. It was around 3 am tho. It was a good thing that y’all didn’t have work in the morning. So the 2 of y’all said you goodbyes and slowly stumbled y’all’s way back to your apartment. Both of y’all took turned carrying each
As soon as y’all go home y’all had enough energy go pull off your outfits before crashing on the bed make up and all. The next morning, or next afternoon Mina was the first to wake up so she was quick to get dress and clean up before she began to make breakfast for you and a hot drink. When you woke up Mina was quick to check up on you and make sure you were feeling ok.
Once again y’all spent the day doing nothing and relaxing with each. And after a night like that, y’all couldn’t ask for more.

Aizawa Shōta
This man is like so romantic...when he wants to be lol. It really all just depends on his mood. Normally a date with him would be a very simple and easy going one.
Because he is a teacher, there’s a lot of time where’s he stuck grading papers and when that happens, He loves to cuddle up with you under a blanket and while you watch a movie or read or play on your phone he’ll grade the papers. Taking many breaks of course.
Most of the time his breaks will consist of him complaining about how one of his students didn’t get a question right or didn’t even answer it or just put something crazy. Most of the time he’s not to talkative but when it comes to school, especially his students, he won’t shut up. So you let him rant, you enjoy hearing this stories too anyways. His students are amazing.
Occasionally if it’s a simple worksheet with an answer sheet he made before hand, He’ll make you grade the papers while he sleeps or does something else. You love when this happens cause then your can give them a few extra points just bc.
Of course the date is not grading papers with him. The date comes after. Once all the papers are graded, the 2 of y’all would put in some relatively decent clothes and head out to the nearest coffee shop. A chance to get y’all out of the house and a nice breath of fresh air. Normally it’s your idea to go on the date but Aizawa always loves it.
Once y’all reach the cafe that’s when Aizawa would normally take over the date. He’ll either find something else he wants to do like see a movie or take a walk in the part the. Something he’ll just want to go back to the appointment and just sleep and relax.
It really doesn’t matter what y’all do. Aizawa’s the type of person to just savor the time spent with you. As long as he’s with you he doesn’t mind what y’all do. With thag in mind, he would prefer to just lay around the house and cuddle but he’s also open to your date ideas.
Like I said before Aizawa can be one hell of a charmer when it comes down to it. So when y’all go on actually dates. He knows exactly how to dress, act, and what do it. It’s almost like a completely different person but his lazy reaction remind you he’s still the same man you fell in love with.
Even the romantic dates are simple, going out to eat at a fancy restaurant and going out for a walk hand in hand. If y’all do something too exciting, he thinks it will take away from your beauty and distract him so that he’a not focused on you. So he keeps the dates simple so that he won’t have any distractions from you.
To others y’all’s dates might be too simple and boring, but y’all love them. The dates aren’t about seeing how much y’all could do together, it about spending time with each. So if all y’all do it go off to some cafe that’s around the block and talk, y’all are completely happy and satisfied.

Gang of Friendship!
Not gonna lie, you, guys. It was really nice to have an episode that highlighted friendship. ^w^
I enjoyed the Lady Noir movie date. XD It was super sweet how he tried to be there for her and offered to talk if she ever felt like talking. Too bad she’s feeling so isolated and crushed by her responsibilities that she doesn’t feel like she can talk to anyone, not even her partner. I’m glad they got to go swimming, though.
Tumblr media
The cute JuleRose moment was sweet too. They just really want Marinette to be their sister-in-law. I also liked looking at all of Alya’s comic books. XD
Tumblr media
The little rabbit fist bump is probably one of my favourite moments from the entire episode. I adore it.
Tumblr media
Also, I would like to nominate this little guy as MVP of the episode. Trixx makes me happy. I like how he steps up and tries to help. We were robbed of Trixx and Alya reunion content. Robbed. I wanted a Trixx and Alya hug, gosh darn it! XD
Tumblr media
But, for real, I was seriously heartbroken for Marinette this episode. That was so bad. I’m really happy that it worked out in the end.
Tikki...wasn’t very helpful, and I was kind of disappointed. I know she loves Marinette and wants good things for her, but Tikki is too much of a “bigger picture” thinker. She’s too busy thinking about the success of the greater plan and protecting Paris and keeping Marinette safe from Papillon that I feel she loses sight of what Marinette needs from moment to moment. Tikki doesn’t seem to take actions that nurture Marinette where she is in the present. I know someone has to look out for the success of the greater plan, but...Marinette obviously needs help now, and I wish Tikki could give it to her. Their bond is so beautiful, and I just want Tikki to be able to help Marinette. ;-;
In other news, Papillombre’s outfit is still hideous, and I don’t know why he bothers to combine Duusu and Nooroo and wear that ugly costume when he’s not planning on using Duusu’s powers. I continue to question his viability as a fashion designer.
Random, but important: Go back and admire the way reflections are animated in Chronogirl’s visor. It’s beautiful. Seriously. Look at the reflections and how they move! Someone spent a lot of time getting that right, and it’s a beautiful feat of animation.
Tumblr media
Not going to lie, I wish the girls would get some new akuma forms? Please? I guess it’s good for our heroes to get used to fighting the same akumas so that they can defeat them faster by being familiar with their powers and what their objects are, but I feel like Juleka’s power wasn’t really relevant here? Turning everyone into clones wouldn’t have achieved anything if not for Rose turning them into servants afterwards.
I’m super proud of Alya for fighting off akumatization, though. It reminds me of when Chloé refused akumatization last season. I’m really proud of my girl. That’s the power of friendship! ^o^ The Alyabug content was wonderful.
Also, Juleka calling Rose “Princess”. XD I know it’s because she was Princess Fragrance at the time, but... I’m a sucker for when one character calls another “princess” unironically.
This group hug made me super happy. ^w^ I’m really glad that Marinette is being loved and supported.
Tumblr media
And this hug too! I’m so glad that Marinette was able to tell someone. I need Episode Four to pick up right where this leaves off. Seriously. For some reason, I don’t trust the writers, and I’m afraid Alya’s not going to believe her or something crazy like that. Can I just have content of Marinette being loved and supported?
Can I just have content of Alya steering Chat Noir towards Marinette? XD
While we’re at it, can I just have content of Marinette and Adrien hanging out and being friends? We haven’t had much Adrienette this season yet, have we? Things have been too hectic. ^.^; I think I just need some fluff without the drama.
Maybe I need to go write some fluff? What do you guys think?
