can't believe i'm saying this, but please don't let literal nazi shit slide in the slenderverse fandom. i just saw habit and firebrand drawn together with literal swastikas on it and i'm not gonna name names, but if you see that shit, please report it. you can't let antisemitism slide for even an inch, because if you do, you're sending the signal that nazism and antisemitism is welcome in your circles, and that jewish people are not. it's not a joke, it's not cute or ironic, and it's certainly not appropriate for ship art with a jewish guy. use your brain.

#the MXTX fandoms are FASCINATING#They reflect their books#(SVSSS has the most‚ most creative‚ and some of the best AUs and is also twice as unhinged as the other two combined)#(MDZS has the most and prettiest art (the settings and character design cannot be matched) and most interesting dynamic analysis.)#(TGCF has the cleanest (RELATIVE) fandom and the biggest obsession with its main couple (rightly so) It also has the least shipping overlap#but they are also distinct creations of themselves- I've seen the LEAST amount of mpreg in MDZS#(desite the fact that WWX would LOVE that!)#Now why is that? let's think about it#hmm. Well‚ since they already have the juniors‚ a lot less people are making up new kids- and therefore requiring mpreg#or they're taking advantage of characters like Xue Yang who could've used a good dad or two.#very interesting!#but don't worry! this analysis is not confined to the MXTX fandom!#you ever look at how the fandom for The Song of Achilles (TSOA) reflects its books?#First of all they've got some AMAZING art#and the book has amazing descriptions#and‚ interestingly‚ this fandom has unusually well-divided attention among the parts of the book#which reflects a very nice significance everything seemed to have when I read them#we also have a majority of popular AUs that are “they're happy now fuck you‚” my favorite being them adopting Hyacinthus#and honestly? the book wanted them to be happy too#you could feel it#anyway I love analyzing shit and I will never run out of victims#analysis#fandom#mxtx#mdzs#svsss#tgcf#tsoa#ramblings

I keep my onions about ai to myself because it's an obvious given that I hate it just as much as every other artist does, but I always find it fascinating that some of the same people who uncritically use ai bells and whistles and are lukewarm to its negative impact on real artists (and sometimes are even reposting genai slop images and videos gawking at how this is the future of art) are the same to rush to drop thousands on cardboard where a lot of the most expensive sought after cards are sought after because of. The art.

I initially showed up for Arsenic, and now I'm here for all your art! I hope I'm not overstepping or anything when I ask: What happened with the OMORI fandom? Were they rude or stupid or something? I like the game and the most I do with the OMORI fandom is reblog art and stuff, is that okay to follow you or would you rather someone like me not follow you?

But tbh that's not really what makes me dislike the fandom most, because fundamentally the only way that's tied to the fandom is the fact that it shows how quickly people will jump on a hate train — which is. the real reason, actually. That and the general oppressive atmosphere
If all you do is reblog art, you're chill, I just try not to talk to OMORI fans anymore personally. Being in that fandom's made me paranoid for a period of time and I just don't want to go back to that
#i used to not get tangled with the fandom at all until i created arsenic. i didn't interact with people i just posted art#but the moment i started actually interacting with the fandom in any meaningful way. uh. it went badly! so#the thing is the fandom is made up of a lot of kids and people who don't really have the maturity for the source material to an extent#one of the most well known fandom lore events is how one of the most popular artists got sent a fucking. horrifying amount of death threats#i guess i'm wary of omori fans in general because of a... general trend.#a lot of what i see from this fandom is just. paranoia over what people make and what's acceptable and if it's suspicious and and and#i've seen people get blocked by their friends over having their likes set to private because that's ''suspicious''#there's just. an insane amount of drama. all of the time. constantly. i don't want to be there for that. and it's impossible to avoid#again. one of the most well known events is a creator getting sent constant death threats for weeks or months straight.#and i have not once seen anyone say that That Was Bad.
