hi hello hi, my name is Fresita, but I also go as Jackie, kitty, angel, bunni (or bunny idc how u write it), cloudy, choco, or pup.

I'm a Panamanian artist who mostly draws and posts for fun. I'm Also sort of a furry???? My pronouns are mostly she/her but u can also refer to me as they/them, I don't mind that :3 Also I am a minor (14) so please be respectful, u can b mildly sexual or mean towards me as long as its completely ironic. Overblots: 

Alison overblots because Yuu confronted him about his madness and some stuff around school going missing. But Alison was already slowly getting to his breaking point from all of the other students teasing him about his ‘wonderland’.

Laddie overblots because Yuu tells him he can’t always be ‘manly’. He is devoted to everything he puts his mind to, and always tries to put up a manly front because everyone either thinks he’s a girl or just weak from the way he looks. (Epel core<33) He was already slowly getting pushed under the pressure he puts on himself and slowly getting to his breaking point from the comments from other students.

Reille Doesn’t overblot from Yuu, but because of his own father. Reille has always been the center of attention because of his status as the youngest sea prince and next in line to the throne (because his six older brothers didn’t want it, and he quit frankly doesn’t either). He’s always just wanted real friendship, not people pretending to be because of his status. When he first got the invitation to go to RSA, his father wouldn’t allow him. But Reille snuck out and went anyways and his father had to agree with it. But when he went home for winter break, taking Yuu with him, he told his father how he didn’t want to be next in line for the throne anymore, and to instead live on land and his father went berserk. He told Reille he didnt have a choice, and that he was never going back up to the surface or RSA ever again and it caused Reille to overblot.

Jaseem Overblots because of his family just like Reille. (Going into the backstory YaoYaoBae made for him rq: Back when the life wasn't as complicated, Jaseem was extremely cheerful and lived every day to the fullest with the vast amount of wealth his family possessed. However when he had reached the age of 10, his life began to fall apart. As the only son, Jaseem was forced to find a future wife sooner or later. From then on he had to attend countless numbers of arranged marriage meetings, parties while attending his father's business conferences. Jaseem thought he could shoulder this responsibility, but that pressure would just build up later as he grew older. Arranged marriage meetings were the worst. Jaseem learnt how shallow and sly people could be, faking their entire personality to coddle up to him for the sole purpose of attaining his family's wealth. "But that's just the reality of being the only heir isn't it", he thought. Jaseem became increasingly saddened over the fact that no one genuinely TRIED to understand his hobbies or know more about him, only throwing empty praises about his home/accessories/looks. Since young Jaseem has been fascinated with tigers and his mother was the one who encouraged him to take care of one ( much to his father's reluctance), thus Rana became his new family member. Many of his suitresses cringed at the sight of Rana whom they saw as a dirty, wild animal. Sometimes Jaseem's father had no choice but to order the guards to take Rana away in order to force Jaseem to follow his schedule, which made him even more depressed. Eventually, Jaseem had reached his breaking point during one of the parties and wanted to escape his "cage" even bringing Rana with him. It was then he met a young, white haired boy in the greenhouse. Jaseem couldn't hold back his tears when the boy comforted him, claiming that he can share the same sentiments. It was after they were called to the main event where Jaseem learnt that the boy was no other than Kalim Al Asim, the oldest son and soon-to-be heir of one of the richest families in the world and his cousin. From that moment onwards, the two spent their childhood days together basking in the sunlight and running around the mansion. They confided in each other, became each other's source of strength to keep doing their best this was especially stronger for Jaseem towards Kalim). They drifted a little after entering higher education, but still keep in contact. For Jaseem, Kalim is the definition of the sun. Had he not met this smiley boy showing off his unique magic and telling him how he must continue to do his best as not only the heir but as an older brother too, Jaseem would have had a different fate and never face his reality. This explains why he hates Jamil to the core after knowing what he had done when he overblotted. Current lifestyle for Jaseem was no different from his younger days, he still attends arranged marriage meetings (fewer due to school) and gets numerous phonecalls from his father about countries they have to fly to for business conferences. Jaseem became more adept at his dealings with women and can twist meetings to end faster to save his time to do something useful.. like picking a new silk ribbon for Rana.) Jaseem goes home for another break, taking Yuu with him to where his father tells him he has chosen a marriage partner for him without his consent. Jaseem becomes in raged and all that pressure, anxiety, and stress he’s bottled up for years finally busts open, causing him to overblot just like Jamil had.

Neige A well known celebrity and voted as the "fairest of all" for several years. With a lack of parental figures in his life, he has coped by being a parental figure to everyone else. He is very motherly and kind and treats everyone, including his classmates, like his own children. Unfortunately, this can make him overbearing and condescending to his dorm members. He believes that he knows best for everyone, making him authoritative and controlling. His favorite "children" are a group of seven dwarfs in his dorm. When the other students confront him on his issues, he overblots. (And by other students, his breaking point was Yuu confronting the shit out of him for it.)

Andreas is well known for being a decent of the all mighty sky god and who the dorm was made after. He’s supper supper strong and tries to make genuine friends. But most people don’t even give him a chance because they think “he’s cocky and thinks he’s better than everyone else because of his status.” Thus, this pushes him harder to befriend people. Going out of his way and doing crazy things to get acceptance by people (who still talk behind his back.) He finally snaps and overblots after Yuu tells him he doesn’t have to prove himself to other people, people should like him for him.

Elliot is well known for being the adoptive grandson of the NRC teacher “Mrs Trein” he has his step brothers, who have made his life miserable ever since his father remarried after his mother’s death. But then his father died and he was left in the care of these horrible people. Hr tries to be kind and helpful to everyone he sees, and his brothers (and others) take SUPPER BIG advantages with that info. He will finally snap and over blot when Yuu pulls him into a hug after a busy day setting up the RSA annual ‘Ball’ and asks him if he’s alright. And he just broke down and overblotted. (He has a Malleus situation kinda. He snaps his finger and a big clock strikes twelve that makes everyone fall asleep, and takes them into a dream of a wish their heart makes. So basically what they really want in the whole world.)

The Nutcracker Balan and his soldiers Chapter 5: The battle near the river.

Meanwhile, with Mouse King and mice.

The mice followed Alina's footsteps to catch her and her friends.

Mouse King:(The Left head) Listen, what are we going to do with the girl? (The middle head) And we'll lure her in and kill her.

Later they came to a place where there was a river. Meaning it was a scene from Cal's cutscene when he was saved. They noticed that the tracks led to the river.

Mouse King:(Both) Drowned, then.

Or not, when Balan the nutcracker and his toy friends pushed them into the river with a board, except for the king and 30 the remaining mice. Alina was under the table, watching her friends.

Mouse King:(Both are angry) Oh, really?

Balan: Yes. (He took out a saber with the soldiers) Your games are over.

Mouse King: Take them!

The mice started fighting with toys. Alina decided to approach the Mouse King unnoticed in order to push him into the river with her tail. However, he landed on the floating ice.

Balan: Well done, Alina!

Mouse King: Silly girl!

The mice decided to attack Alina. But the inhabitants did not allow it and are protecting it.

Cass: Don't touch her!

Cal: Over our dead bodies!

They started fighting the mice until Balan noticed that the ice was floating up to the steps.

Tim: Tim!

Balan: You're right, my friend. Keep an eye on the others, and I'll hold him off.

He ran up and landed on the ice where the king was. They started fighting while the other toys were fighting the mice.

Bruce: Do you think that I am an old man who is not capable of anything? But it's not (He punched the mouse in the stomach).

The toys decided to lure the mice when they stand in a circle. When the mice formed a circle, Ink Blaster tied them up with her hands and threw them into the river water.

Ink Blaster: That's it, it's done.

Emma: Where's Balan?

They heard Tim and KosoKoso squeaking. They approached them and saw Balan and King Mouse fighting on the ice. They floated past the stairs while the others noticed that they could get into the tunnel.

Alina: We need to help Balan.

Fiona: Mink Mink, come on!

The rubber dolphin immediately dived and swam behind the Balan. The Nutcracker immediately continued to fight the Mouse King, and when he fell, the three-headed mouse was ready to attack. But Balan bit his tail in response and the mouse fell.

Balan:(He heard a dolphin squeak) Mink Mink.

When Mink Mink swam up to him, he climbed on top of him and swam away. The Mouse King stood up and glared at them.

Mouse King:(Both) I'm not giving up!

He started jumping on the ice while the heroes above are watching what is happening.

Alina: I have idea.

She took an Aero Acrobat on a platform and tied his leg with a thread. Then she fired and the Acrobat hit the king in a ninja pose. The Mouse King drowned, and Balan and Mink Mink returned to their friends and hugged each other.

Balan: You guys are doing great.

Mouse King:(Both get angry and try to swim) No! You'll regret it! I'll be... (Drowned in the tunnels) back!

In Alina's house.

The heroes quietly returned home and immediately to Alina's room. Alina put her toy friends on the windowsill while she went to change into her pajamas.

Irina: It's a pity that we didn't find out where we appeared.

Balan: I'm sorry myself. The main thing is that we're back together.

Cass: And we have such a good friend, Alina.

Yuri: She wasn't even afraid to act.

Emoji: Immediately a real hero.

Alina:(She went over to the toys) Yes, I'm glad you're alive, even though you're toys. But I see you as friends, as my best living friends (Paula rubs her head purring).

Lance: I agree, if it wasn't for you, then you never know what would suddenly end.

Balan: You are all real heroes who help.

Alina:(She hugged her friends in response) The adventure was almost like in a fairy tale, where they also saw not just toys, but real friends. I think it's time for you to get in the box, otherwise your parents will notice.

Leo: Don't worry. We may be strangers, but we'll stay with you.

Balan: No one will notice.

Alina lay down on the bed with a smile while her toy friends lay down on her blanket.

Alina: Good night, my friends.

Toys: Good night.

They all fell asleep peacefully.

how do you keep finding these incredibly niche and incredibly awesome aesthetics

omg WELL, I will try to be concise here!!

basically it started because I got really into vaporwave relatively early in its existence, I think I discovered it in around 2013. Now, something about there being an entire online named Artistic Movement with clear design principles was extremely cool to me, and 2013 is also the earliest I can find a use of the term “junglepunk” on my blog, because this is the term I was using as a personal placeholder for the type of stuff that I have since discovered is being called utopian scholastic. I figured, if there wasn’t a “vaporwave” equivalent for the art/media niche I remembered so vividly, I would just call it something of my own.

So, I came to this newer discovery because in the decade since getting into vaporwave I’ve followed just… so many aesthetic blogs. One of my absolute favourites is @newwavearch90 but I love going on an adventure down various tumblr rabbit holes of related blogs and posts. I also watch a lot of design history videos on youtube, as well as having an interest in lost media, old web stuff, analog horror ARGs, stuff like that. For example, this guy’s video about clip art is very interesting:

And so, a few months ago youtube recommended me THIS video and as soon as I saw the thumbnail I was like oh holy shit, I know exactly what style of design this is talking about. Anyone who used Windows XP would recognise this:

And once again, like the vaporwave discovery, the realisation that there are ongoing efforts being made to classify design movements of which I have vivid living memory was like… mindblowing to me. For some reason, lol. My appreciation for vaporwave has always been through a reflective filter of the media produced during that time, my response to it is really my response to the media, as opposed to having any real emotional connection to the actual time period and places the media is portraying.

And so after discovering Frutiger Aero I googled it, and came across the CARI (Consumer Aesthetics Research Institute) site. They work to catalogue and index this exact stuff, the aesthetics and reasoning behind all these different movements. It’s also co-founded by the same guy who runs @newwavearch90. Finding the actual names of the aesthetics I have the most emotional connection/nostalgia for has been less of a stroke of luck, but more because I’ve been snooping around the types of blogs and websites where I just happened to see certain posts tagged either Global Village Coffeehouse or Utopian Scholastic, then the giant lightbulb goes off. The relief of putting a name to a sound, an image, a feeling that was so important and exciting and comforting to you in the past, that has shaped so much of your taste and interests in the years since.

I think the base concept of “aesthetics” in general has gotten a bad rap in recent years. I know it can be grating to see teenagers try to categorise their whole identities into the easily consumed “aesthetic”, but we can’t ignore how much ageism and specifically misogyny is wrapped up in that assessment. Like, yes, where once there were just preps and goths it can be depressing to see teenagers (especially teen girls) ask themselves whether they are “old money east coast quiet luxury aesthetic girlies” or “mallpunk y2k whimsigoth aesthetic girlies” - but the problem isn’t in teens trying to find their identity, it’s that social media pushes the search for identity specifically through consumerism.

Teens liking aesthetics on tiktok just isn’t my concern. I’m far more interested in how art and design aesthetics relate to consumerism, to technological advances, to socio-political cultural context, to societal values. Why did these aesthetics arise at the time they did, and why were they popular, why did they fall out of the zeitgeist etc.

So yeah, to be not at all concise in any way; it’s because this stuff fascinates me and I love researching it 🥳

Have you ever heard someone say that college consumes their time?

...it's true

I've had just a few moments of free time per day since I entered college, between that and my other responsibilities and the fact that I have a life! That means I've had little to no time to investigate, tho I admit that I've had a good amount of time to spend with my Digimon during my walks home!

There's not much to report about the current state of things as of right now, the military has been here and there near the train stations, but nothing actually worth writing home about.

I do have some interesting updates to give tho!

For starters, Bit has been planning on getting her own Digimon DOCK, which may be of help if we ever get stuck together in a new adventure, also, her Digimon have been evolving at a pretty rapid pace, her V-Dramon has evolved into Aero V-dramon, and the DigiTama born from Darcmon has evolved into Hououmon!

None of the two are into fighting since their Tamer is who she is, but they're still strong due to the love Bit puts on their care.

In other news, during my induction at college, I met a guy who we'll call "Z" (his real name starts with an S, but we already have "S" so...) he doesn't have a Digimon Partner, but does know about them, we actually share a lot in common, so it's possible that he gets interested in getting a Partner later (mainly through my influence)

Another guy I've met is "F", he is a friend of a girl I befriended like the first day of my last week. He implied that he had a Digimon DOCK while we were talking nonsense last week, while he didn't explicitly say that it IS a Digimon DOCK, it could be any other type of digital companion, such as a personal assistant, even tho... He DID recognize my watch as a Digimon DOCK so... Who knows!

I've also found a new way of using the Digimon DOCK "D" gave me, through the use of reverse engineering the code inside the DOCK given to me, I was able to create an adulterated version of Digimon Capture, one that lets me move my Digimon between the two Digimon DOCK freely.

Tho... Darkdramon acts kinda... Weird when he gets inside the Digimon DOCK, it's like he gets a power up or something...my best guess is that there are some leftovers of rampaging data inside him, and since the first Digimon DOCK he entered after being liberated was this one, some of the data must have been trapped inside it, and once he enters there, the data gets reunited inside him, and gives him a controlled power up.

Whatever the case is, I sadly don't have enough time to investigate it just yet, but I'll still keep you updated!... As long as college allows me to!

Quinn and Felix left along side Rogue and Felix's raven. Kristina and Nyx let shifted to birds ready for the adventure "So... my heart finally take herself off the ground." Mesha whispered. "New chapter initiated" Melinoe whispered in control. "So I guess I'm with her?" Syn inquired pointing to the sparrow. "Yep and hold on tight... been a long time since I got you there." Mesha answered.

"Coordinates required" Melinoe advised. The queen quickly snatched Syn over to the balcony looking over sheer mountain side and ocean. "We got to jump.... Jump? Yes pump only way to get the bodies to ascension points." They said before taking each other by hand and launching off the balcony. "Coordinates Required!" Melinoe belted out once more. As they fell, the queen yelled "94th Aero Squadron! Home!"

The owl and sparrow flew off ready for the portal, grabbing Syn and the Queen as they went through. Each portal they went through was different. And for the first time in centuries, Syn felt sun on his face as Kristina held him safe in her talons. "Where is this...?" He yelled. "Hold on, too shaky to break focus!" She yelled back. She stayed still, almost stiff in Melinoe's talons with her eyes glowing green and blue with flickers of purple here and there.

Syn was truthfully watching the weapon Naberus wanted at full function, and he still saw the little girl.. wishing to play make believe. They felt the foul gain speed and altitude, almost touching the moon that appeared before them."How many portals did you use!?" Syn exclaimed "We're hitting last one! Be prepared to roll and duck!" The queen answered.

From the machine born by Hoshino Impul

There are times when it's a traditional dress-up car.

This Infiniti Q45-based special car, called “Impul 845S”, by Hoshino Impul Co., Ltd. won the dress-up car category excellence award at the previous Tokyo Auto Salon. Through the test drive this time, I realized that this was the right award.

The concept is luxury and luxury. This is the identity of the Impul 845S.

Before we get started, let me explain how the car came about.

Speaking of Infiniti, it is positioned as a high-class formal car under the President in the Nissan passenger car range, and it is a car that does not suit the words "dress up" and "tuning".

We asked Mr. Shigenori Kobayashi, chief producer of Garage Impul, what kind of concept Hoshino Impul Co., Ltd. decided to modify for this Infiniti.

“From the beginning, we did not treat Infiniti as a special case. The same is true for the Infiniti this time.

However, in the case of this car, what is slightly different from other lineups is that we have taken into account the differences in user demographics. That's what it means.

In a sense, this project was a big adventure in the first place.

There was a response that exceeded our expectations,

To be honest, I'm surprised."

Impul 845S, as is customary for Impul

This car named is basically not a complete car. The car we tested this time was exhibited at the Auto Salon, a demo car owned by Impul, fully equipped with Impul special parts.

First of all, there is the dummy grille, which is a major point in terms of appearance, but it is really cleverly attached to the original bonnet. I see, the expression of the car is changed. Such a small modification makes a big difference. Personally speaking, I prefer this 845S

In addition, the original front and rear bumpers have all been removed and replaced with FRP bumper spoilers. A total of 4 fog lamps are built in on the left and right, and the front spoiler and the rear spoiler with slits with nets are all well-designed. And, as a staple of this kind of dress-up, side skirts are attached, and a large urethane spoiler is given to the upper part of the trunk. In addition, the emblem has been removed and an 845S sticker has been pasted on it.

Suspension that appeals with great power.

What about the actual running?

So all in all a very good session.

Although it is an aero part that is put together with a lens,

The highlight is the feet, Impul's RI wheels 17x8" with 235 RE71 is wearing. Mr. Kobayashi, who was mentioned earlier, said, "We gave the tires the maximum size as long as they didn't adversely affect handling. The aim was, of course, to improve appearance." Anyway, the appearance is certainly impressive, and for people who love dressing up like this, it will be totally acceptable. By the way, the vehicle height has been lowered by about 3 cm due to the active suspension vehicle height sensor.

In terms of mechanics, it's barely touched to the extent that it deserves to be called a dress-up car. At the moment, the CP is only replaced with a more efficient program, and sports mufflers, brake pads, etc. are under development.

The 845S still gives a test drive impression as expected.

Sit in the cockpit, no, in the driver's seat and start the engine. A completely normal 845S except for the 280km/h scale speedometer and Impul pedal kit.

Under the pouring sunlight, opening the sliding roof, setting the automatic air conditioner to 25 degrees, and listening to the background music, driving is simply comfortable. At a pace where you can see the long-running Mini Cooper coming from behind in the rearview mirror, you certainly don't feel any disadvantages with wide tires. As I drive around this area, where there are golf courses everywhere, the concept of this car and the image of its owner cross my mind.

From Gotemba, I turned the car toward Kagosaka Pass to go to Lake Yamanaka. When you no longer have to worry about getting lost, start pulling the Mini Cooper away. If you run a winding with 2nd gear hold, You will notice that you are running at a much faster pace than you normally drive in a sports car. However, in terms of fun-to-drive, it is not a car that you will enjoy driving very much.

You can imagine that. However, because this car was equipped with an active suspension, there were some drawbacks due to wide tires during hard cornering, but it followed better than the mechanical suspension, and there was no decisive failure. The main problem here is the steering, as there is very little feel coming from the road through the tires anyway. The orientation of the airbag-equipped steering wheel is arguably the only source of information that will tell you the turn.

Another thing that bothered me was that the change in the engine control CPU caused the shift point of the automatic transmission to shift. For example, the kickdown only worked at unusually high revs, so it was very frustrating and difficult to drive on winding roads. However, I don't think there is any point in further acceleration performance with normal brakes.

Conclusion. 845S is orthodox

It's a dress-up car.

From this test drive impression, you can see that the concept of this car does not emphasize driving performance. As I mentioned at the beginning, in that sense, I think this Impul 845S is an orthodox dress-up car. This Infiniti is lined up with even a gold key as an option. I'm sure this 845S dress-up kit will be well received.

Meanwhile, with sirens.

The sirens sat on the rocks with offended faces while it was cloudy with gray clouds above.

Purple:(Angry) In a word, it's not fair. It was a chance to eat them, but because of the tricks, everything is ruined!

Green:(Angry) What kind of sirens are we from now? They're also cowardly.

Alina:I'm sorry.

Sirens:(Scared) AAH!

Suddenly they noticed how many fish had fallen out of the water near them. It turned out that they were killer whales and they were scared. Alina was sitting on the female killer whale.

Alina:Don't be afraid, we all have an important matter.

Walrus:Something happened?

Killer Whale♀️:Some Ursula got the bracelets and is now ready for capture.

Nils:What? We have to stop it! But where are your friends?

Alina:They're floating somewhere. I've already planned and called for more sirens. And we need to call one who almost devoured us first.

Kairi’s Epic Journey: The Quest for Sora

Chapter 8: Rough Start

It wasn’t too long after Kairi and Pluto left the Destiny Islands that the lifting sensation stopped, and the walls of light came down.  Looking around, they saw that they definitely weren’t where they started.

Kairi felt a little disoriented from the trip as her legs wobbled.  “Whoa!  What a ride! Really wish that woman who gave me the Wayfinder would’ve told me exactly what going to another world would be like.”

Pluto barked in agreement.  He too was trying to get his balance back.

After regaining her composure, Kairi did the first thing any adventurer would do: assess the surroundings.  Looking around, they were apparently were in the middle of a lush, green jungle. Various animal noises were heard all around.

Though Kairi hadn’t been to as many worlds as Sora, Riku and the others, she did recall the details of the ones that Sora had been to on his first adventure since she had been along for the ride within his heart.  And from what she remembered, Sora, Donald and Goofy had visited a place like this in the past.

“Could this be Tarzan’s jungle?  It definitely feels like it.  But then again, that world is unlikely to be the only jungle in the whole universe.’

Kairi also noted that she and Pluto hadn’t changed into different forms.  So, that meant that humans and dogs weren’t going to be an unusual sight in this world.

‘Although I probably will never understand why some didn’t find Donald and Goofy’s appearances unusual in the worlds they visited.  You’d think to protect the world order, they would turn human in some worlds.’

Then Kairi saw what appeared to be sky a short distance away through the trees.  That meant there was a break in the jungle just up ahead.

“Let’s go over there, Pluto.  Maybe we can get a better idea of where we are.  But let’s be careful.  The Heartless and Nobodies may not have been seen since the Keyblade War.  But we can’t assume they won’t show up.  Also, if this place is the Deep Jungle or something similar to it, then there’s likely to be predators around so be on your guard,” said Kairi as she summoned her Keyblade.

Together, the two of them headed in the direction of the break.  As they walked, Kairi kept her eyes and ears open for any sign of trouble. Pluto did too, as well as using his nose hopefully to pick up any scent of a possible foe.

When they finally made it out of the jungle, they emerged onto a beach.  Kairi’s jaw dropped as she beheld an amazing sight.

In front of her was a lagoon.  And all around the lagoon in various places were mermaids.

The mermaids were all doing various activities.  Some were just laying around.  Others were fixing their hair and admiring themselves in the reflection of the water. One was even playing on a flute made out of a seashell.  They were all engrossed in doing their own things that none of them had even noticed Kairi and Pluto.

‘Mermaids? Could this be Ariel’s world?  That world seemed to be completely underwater, but Sora told me that there was a part of that world that was not.’

“Maybe these mermaids can help us, Pluto.  You stay here on the beach,” said Kairi as she dismissed her Keyblade and began to hop across some stones to get closer to where the mermaids where.

“Hello there!” she called out causing the mermaids to turn toward her.  They let out a gasp of surprise.

“Who’s she?” asked one with blonde hair.

“Where did she come from?” asked another with black hair and a hat made out of a lily pad.

“I’m sorry to interrupt your activities.  My name’s Kairi and I was wondering if you could help me.”

The mermaids dove into the water and swam toward Kairi.  Soon, all of them surrounded the rock that she was on.

“We can help you. But first you simply must join us for a swim,” said a redheaded mermaid.

“Oh, thanks for the offer.  But I really don’t have the time.  You see, I have something important to do.  Also, I’m not exactly dressed for swimming,” said Kairi.

“Oh. don’t let that stop you and whatever you have to do can wait.  Come on in!” said one of the mermaids as she leapt out and grabbed onto Kairi’s skirt.

“Hey!  Stop that!” shouted Kairi as she swatted the mermaid’s hand away just as another one grabbed onto her ankle.  “Let go of me!”

Suddenly, from behind her, a burst of water splashed Kairi.  She turned around to confront the offending mermaid only for another splash of water to come from another behind her.

“Cut that out!” she shrieked.

The melee continued as the mermaids alternated between trying to pull Kairi into the water and splashing her while the Princess resisted.  From his spot on the beach, all Pluto could do was bark angrily at the mermaids.

Finally, after she was positively drenched, Kairi had enough.  She summoned Destiny’s Embrace, pointed it to the sky and shouted, “Fire!”

A burst of flame burst from the tip of her Keyblade and shot skyward.  The display of power finally got the mermaids to cease their attack and stare at her in shock.

“Now listen, all of you, I am not in the mood for this so back off!” she yelled.

The mermaids’ shock wore off and was replaced by looks of annoyance.  They immediately swam back to where they had originally been.

“What’s the matter with her?”

“After all, we were only trying to drown her.”

‘Drown me? What’s the matter with these girls?’ thought Kairi.

“She’s just as unpleasant as that Wendy girl.”

“You would think Peter would bring someone to Never Land who actually likes to have fun.”

The last mermaid’s comment struck Kairi with a sudden realization.  “Wait!  Peter? As in, Peter Pan?” she asked.

The mermaids turned back to her and said rather snidely, “Why yes.  Wasn’t he the one who brought you here?”

‘I’d better play along.  Got to protect the world order as Donald would probably tell me if he was here. Also, maybe they can tell me where to find Peter Pan.’

“Uh yes.  He did bring me here.  But we got separated so do you have any idea where I can find him?” asked Kairi.

“Oh, he could be anywhere.  He could be treasure hunting with the Lost Boys or fighting with Hook,” said one of the mermaids.

“If you wish to find him, your best bet is to just wander around Never Land and hope he finds you,” said another one.

“Now, if you don’t mind, we have some important grooming and sunning to get back to so be on your way,” said a third one.

With that, the mermaids just went back to their previous business and paid no more attention to Kairi which was perfectly fine with her.  She’d had enough of dealing with them.

Hopping across the stones, she made it back to the beach.  Pluto ran up to her and barked in concern.

“I’m alright, Pluto. A little water never hurt anyone. But as unhelpful as those mermaids were, we now know where we are and that there’s one of Sora’s friends in this world.  So, do you think you could sniff out anything that may smell like a young boy?  Because that could lead us to Peter Pan,” she said to the dog.

Pluto nodded and began to sniff the air.  After a few moments, his eyes lit up.  He let out a bark.

“You got something?” Pluto barked again.  “Good boy!  Lead the way!”

Pluto walked along the beach while still sniffing the air.  Kairi followed behind him.  But before she left the lagoon, which she was only too happy to do so, she turned in the direction of the mermaids and stuck out her tongue out at them.

The mermaids gasped. “Well, I never!”

A short while later, Kairi and Pluto were still walking along the beach.  Pluto continued to follow the scent while Kairi used an Aero spell to dry herself off.

‘Next time I see Jiminy, I have something for him to add to his journal: there are mermaids in Never Land and they are nothing like the merpeople of Atlantica.’

Then she heard Pluto bark.  She looked in his direction and saw that he was pointing his nose toward a series of stones leading across the water toward a large rock that was shaped like a skull.

“Is that where the scent is coming from, Pluto?” she asked.  Pluto barked in the affirmative.

Kairi was a little hesitant.  The rock didn’t look like the most inviting place and she had no idea what could be in there.  Still, if Pluto believed that’s where the scent was leading them, then she had to trust him.

The two of them began to leap across the stones toward the rock.  Soon enough, they arrived, and Kairi immediately noticed an entrance. Picking up the scent again, Pluto took the lead and Kairi followed.

Fortunately, it wasn’t too dark within the rock, so Kairi didn’t need to cast a Fire or Light spell to illuminate the area.  But Kairi kept on her guard just in case they would encounter something dangerous.-

Finally, they entered into a large open area within the rock.  And what was in the centre of it made Kairi’s eyes open wide.

“A treasure chest!” she exclaimed.

Pluto walked over to it and sniffed it.  He turned to Kairi and barked.

“You mean, this is what you were tracking?” asked Kairi.  Pluto nodded.  “Oh.  I was hoping we’d find Peter Pan.”

Then she started debating onto whether or not to look inside.  She knew it didn’t belong to her.  But, at the same time, all she wanted was to look and she wasn’t going to take anything from it.

Kairi then approached the chest and gripped the lid.  It wasn’t locked so she was able to open it.  But what she saw inside was quite surprising.

It was not filled with gold or jewels like one would expect.  Instead, the chest was filled with various weapons such as wooden swords, clubs, slingshots, tomahawks, and bows and arrows.

‘Reminds me of the various objects Sora, Riku and I would hunt for around the Islands whenever we played pirates,’ thought Kairi as a small smile came to her face briefly before becoming sad.  ‘What I would give to have those days back again.’

Kairi was about to close the chest and move on when she spotted something inside.  Pulling it out, she found herself holding what would have been the last thing she expected to see in Never Land.

It was a Keyblade. Not a regular one though since it was made out of wood.  It was also broken in two.  But put together, there was no doubt the shape was that of a Keyblade.

But what was more shocking was the name carved into the handle: Terra.

‘Terra’s been here? He must have.  There’s no other way this Keyblade could’ve come here,’ pondered Kairi as she wondered what kind of story the wooden Keyblade held.

“Hey!  That’s our treasure!”

Kairi jumped up in surprise and turned around.  She and Pluto were no longer alone.

Standing before them was a group of six young boys.  All of them were dressed in various animal suits and were all armed with weapons similar to those in the chest.

“You’ve got a lot of nerve trying to steal from us!” shouted the tallest boy who was dressed as a fox.

“No!  I wasn’t stealing anything!  I just came across the chest and was just looking at was inside. I wasn’t going to take anything,” said Kairi.

“A likely story!” said two boys dressed as raccoons and who appeared to be twins.

“You’re nothing but a no-good pirate!” exclaimed another in a rabbit suit.

“But she’s a girl. I never hearded of a girl pirate before,” said a chubby boy in a bear suit.

The one in the fox suit suddenly bopped the one in the bear suit on the head.  “Of course she’s a pirate!  We caught her red-handed trying to steal Ven's keepsake out of the chest!”

The mention of Ven’s name caught Kairi by surprise.  ‘Ven? He’s been here too, and he’s met these boys?’

“Listen!  You said this belonged to Ven.  Well, I know him!” shouted Kairi.

“Don’t try to fool us. We know all pirates are lairs,” said the one in the rabbit suit.

“Look.  I’ll just put this back and then I’ll leave. There’s no need to fight at all,” said Kairi as she turned around to put the halves of the wooden Keyblade back in the chest.

But just as she put it back, a sudden pain hit her in the back of her head.  “Ow!” she exclaimed as she turned around again to face the boys.

The culprit appeared to be the youngest of the boys who was dressed in a skunk suit and hadn’t said a word since the confrontation began.  He was holding a slingshot that he apparently just fired.

“That wasn’t very nice!” she shouted causing the boy to hold the slingshot behind his back and pretend to be innocent.

“Boys, I don’t want any trouble,” said Kairi.

“Well, you sure founded it,” said the boy in the bear suit.

“I think we’ve talked enough!  Let’s get her!” said the one in the fox suit as all of them charged toward Kairi.

Seeing no other choice, Kairi summoned her Keyblade while Pluto positioned himself in front of her with his teeth bared and letting out some vicious growls. They had no intention of harming their young adversaries.  But they had to defend themselves in some way.

‘First the mermaids and now these boys.  Is there no one in Never Land that can be reasoned with?  My adventure certainly isn’t off to a good start.’

Heroines of WOCtober: Ladies of Agents of Atlas

There is a number of new characters Marvel has created to appeal to audiences in Asian countries like China or South Korea, some of them appearing in games or getting their own comic books and later being introduced to the American market.

Ami Han, codename White Fox, is a Kumiho, last of the race of shape-shifting nine-tailed foxes. She works as an agent for the South Korean Intelligence Service. 

Lei Ling, codename Aero, is a Chinese architect and China’s beloved hero with the power to control wind.

Dan Bi, codename Crescent, is a young South-Korean girl who has found a magical mask that allows her to summon the spirit of a bear named Io and the two protect one another in combat.

Seol Hee was an aspiring K-Pop singer who got exposed to an experimental cold fusion reactor, gaining her power over ice. Taking codename Luna Snow she became both a star singer and a superhero.

Little is known about Pearl Pangan except that she is a Filipino with powers to control water and swordsmanship skills.

Atlantis Attacks - recently announced new miniseries that will be the sequel to Agents of Atlas and see the team teaming up with classic Agents of Atlas against an invasion of aliens. Just kidding, it’s Atlantis, Atlantis Attacks, it’s in the title.
