A wizard that has an enlarged cinnamon stick as their magic staff. It’s pretty good for cooking and baking magic, but it’s also really good for fire magic. The fireballs that wizard casts are powerful, and also smell so nice.

I own a pyromancy flame for home defense, like the witches of izalith intended. Four invaders break into my castle. “What the devil?” As I grab my sage’s blindfold and fire orb. Burn a titanite chunk-sized hole in the first man. He’s dead on the spot. Cast my black flame on the second man. Misses him entirely cause the tracking sucks and nails the neighbours wolf. I have to resort to the chaos bed vestiges from the top of the ramparts. “Tally ho lads!” The flames shred two men in the blast. The aoe sets off traps in surrounding homes. Draw chaos dagger and charge the last terrified hollow cause I’m out of fp. He dies while trying to black crystal out cause the hit box is janked. Just as the witches intended.

Gobtober Day 14- Pyromancer

Finishing off week 2 with the Pyromancer. Still feel like i have a few more in me.

Here’s the original concepts for the Seasoned Pyromancer Pro Tour Promos card I did for MTG.

Before I think of a composition, I just like to get the ideas out there first. As you can see, the crone like design barely fit into my sketchbook, but I always think it’s best to get the ideas down, and then flesh them out to fit the specs.

Originally I thought of her wearing more shamanistic clothing, but she was developed more into a “crazy cat lady”, hence the slippers for the final art, and clothing more reminiscent of pyjamas!

The cats were made to look more domesticated.

I had this idea also that her cane was a giant match stick.

The initial look of the flaming cats was inspired by Louis Wain’s more psychedelic looking cats. They always looked like flaming cat deities to me.
