Banshee is more of a name than a representation, she s not a banshee, she s Banshee

Ah yes, just like Ember’s the fire frame, Frost’s the ice frame, Volt’s the electric frame, Hydroid’s the water frame... shall I go on? Their names are based on their affinities, if you haven’t noticed. I am well aware that Banshee is not a ‘banshee’ per se, but her frame is sound based; the sound that banshee emits is not harmonic, it’s not based on music, it’s more akin to raw sound. Her first power is basically a scream that throws enemies back, and her final power is just a raw soundwave so strong it shakes the earth. 

Does any of that sound like something you’d want in your headphones? If the answer is yes, then I suppose you’re looking to be deaf by age 40. Oh yeah, but before THAT, enjoy the tinnitus; I know I do(n’t).

To compare to Octavia; her name is based on the word ‘octave’, which is obviously a musical reference. All of her powers are references to music, right up to the part where the player literally composes music for their frame. I don’t own Octavia myself, but I’ve been keeping up with her development and I watched my brother play through the quest. Lotsa lotsa music.

Now even though I heard Octavia’s Anthem enough times to make me want to yell, I’d still prefer that to Banshee’s raw jet engine-loud sounds. Are you starting to get the picture? Octavia should be the one wearing cute modern headphones in her deluxe skin, not Banshee.

This is the single weakest argument I have ever seen; try harder. For fuck’s sake Excalibur’s name is also a reference to his affinity; he’s named after the mythical sword and, wouldn’t you know it, his affinity is swords! What a concept! It’s like they name warframes with rhyme and reason!
