the thought of rafe taking care of his newborn. maybe mama went to shower and she comes out and she hears the baby just hard crying and she checks on them, and rafes covered in spit up and he’s trying to sponge bath her in the kitchen sink softly talking to her
mini version of myself livin' in me - r.c
pairing: pogue!reader x rafe (bartender!reader universe) warnings: none.
the warm spray of water and the scent of lavender swarmed around you like a hug as you stood under the pressure shower.
it had been one of those long days—your baby girl's cries louder than usual, her needs more demanding, and your sleep-deprived body feeling drained. but the thought of rafe taking care of her while you finally took a moment for yourself brought a giddy smile to your face.
once you were done, you turned off the water, wrapped yourself in a fluffy towel, and stepped out, only to still be welcomed by the sound of your daughter’s cries across the house, louder and more urgent.
your heart thudded as you reached the source, feet still damp against the wooden floor.
the sight in the kitchen made you stop.
rafe stood by the sink, his broad back slightly hunched as he leaned over your baby girl. his shirt was splattered with spit-up, damp spots spreading across his chest and sleeves, a wet dishtowel in hand, and completely focused on autumn.
your baby was in the sink, squirming and red-faced. he cradled her with one arm while using the other to gently sponge her down with a damp cloth. his hair, usually perfectly messy, stuck to his forehead in damp strands, and there was a smear of baby lotion on his cheek.
autumn's tiny fists waved in the air, her cries coming in shuddering gasps, his thumb tracing delicate circles on her belly, his expression infinitely tender.
“shh, i know. almost done. i promise,” he planted a soft kiss on her forehead before continuing to gently wash her. she let out another hiccuped wail and his voice continued as a low, soothing hum, “hey, sweetheart, it’s okay,” he cooed, running the cloth over her chubby arms. “daddy’s here.”
her cries came in hiccups now, and you watched, heart swelling twice in size, as rafe chuckled to himself despite the chaos around him.
“you’re tough, just like your mama."
you leaned against the doorway, a warm smile spreading across your face. there he was, the man you fell in love with, completely wrapped up in his role as a father, covered in spit-up and unfazed.
he must have sensed your presence, because he turned, his blue eyes lighting up with relief when they met yours. “hey,” he said, a little sheepishly. “didn’t hear you come in.”
“looks like you two had fun,” you mused, moving closer. your gaze fell on the little face that looked back at you, blue eyes wide and tear-streaked. the hiccupped sobs had quieted, and her tiny fingers now curled and uncurled, reaching for something familiar.
“yeah,” rafe said with a lopsided smile, running a hand through his hair, leaving it even messier. “but we’re good, right, little lady?” he leaned down and rubbed his nose lightly against hers, eliciting a soft, surprised coo from autumn.
you rested your hand on his damp arm and he shifted slightly so you could see her better. you stroked her chubby cheek, your fingers tracing the perfect features that were a blend of both of you.
“she’s calmer now,” you said, the tension in your body unwinding as you looked at your husband.
“only because you’re here,” he replied, turning his head to plant a quick, affectionate kiss on your temple. the way his smile crinkled the corners of his eyes made you fall in love all over again.
“you’re soaked,” you laughed, brushing your thumb over the damp splotch on his shoulder.
“hazards of the job,” he said, smirking. “but she’s worth it.”
suddenly, the tiniest sound broke—a quick, unmistakable baby fart.
there was a second of silence as rafe’s eyes widened comically, and you couldn’t help the laugh that bubbled up.
“did she just…” you started, your voice already filled with laughter.
rafe’s expression changed from disbelief to a look of exaggerated dread. he shot you a pleading look, brows raised. “i don’t even wanna check. please, for the love of all that’s holy, tell me she didn’t shart on my hand again.”
you covered your mouth, failing to stop a giggle from spilling out, and took a step forward to peer at your daughter, who now seemed quite content, eyes wide and bright. “oh, she definitely did,” you nodded.
he groaned, head tilting back as if appealing to the heavens.
“why me?” he asked, half-joking, half-resigned, though the corners of his mouth twitched with amusement.
“because you’re her dad,” you teased, pressing a kiss to his cheek. “and she already knows you’re wrapped around her little finger.”
rafe rolled his eyes, looking down at autumn, who gave a soft, innocent coo. “yeah, yeah. you’re lucky you’re cute.”
“she’s definitely yours,” you added, brushing your hand over her growing hair. “she farts just like you.”
his jaw dropped, eyes wide. “excuse me?” he sputtered, hand on his chest as if you’d just hit him with the worst insult imaginable. “are you serious right now?”
you laughed, the sound coming out so naturally that even your baby seemed to sense the lightheartedness, letting out a warbling giggle of her own. “i mean, the resemblance is uncanny,” you added, doubling down.
he leaned in closer. “for the record, my farts are silent,” he declared, trying to keep a straight face.
“...if you say so,” you drew out the words with mock skepticism.
rafe’s mouth fell open in playful indignation. “hey! i barely fart in front of you!” he said, defensiveness in his voice as he pointed at you.
“sure, sweetheart,” you replied, giving him a patronizing pat on the arm. your grin widened when you saw his eyes narrow in faux irritation.
“no, really!” he protested, shaking his head and trying not to smile. “you make me sound like i’m just walking around the house, letting loose left and right.”
you leaned in, your voice low, “rafe, there was that one time on movie night—”
“oh, come on! that was once!” he said, throwing his hands up in exaggerated defeat. his sudden movement made your daughter wiggle in his arms, and she let out a content gurgle as if agreeing with you.
“see? even she remembers,” you teased, raising an eyebrow at him.
“great. now i’m outnumbered in my own house,” he muttered, the corners of his mouth twitching up.
you pressed another kiss to his cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin.
“don’t worry, daddy. we still love you, gas and all.” rafe was already halfway through a shit-eating grin when you rolled your eyes so deep into the back of your skull. “grow up,” you scoffed, arching an eyebrow. “you don’t have to smirk every time i call you ‘daddy.’”
rafe chuckled, entirely unapologetic, “what? it’s not my fault you say it in that voice!”
“i hope she shits on you again.”
he let out a dramatic gasp, clutching his chest in feigned betrayal. "wow. cursing me with more spit-up and sharts? you’re cruel.”
autumn let out a loud noise, drawing your attention back to her. she gazed up at rafe with wide, adoring eyes, her tiny fingers wrapping around his thumb.
his voice softened as he looked down at her, completely captivated. “guess i wouldn’t mind a few more spit-ups,” he confessed, a look of pure love in his eyes.
you smiled as you watched them. “lucky for you, i don’t think she’s done with those anytime soon.”
i cannot confirm or deny if this was also inspired by mads fart video on ig

There is nothing more beautiful than waking up next to the person you love.
Traces of last night's loving and passionate activities linger in the air all around you as your limbs are entwined with his, not knowing where you begin and where he ends; almost like you've merged into one person.
You stir a little, the warmness of his naked body pressed against yours makes your heart dance inside your chest and your core throb with the everlasting craving you have for Felix.
Your eyes flutter open and you look at him, his hair a royal mess, the strands falling over his forehead and into his eyes, where his eyelashes kiss his freckled skin, his plump lips slightly parted as he cutely drools on the pillow.
You chuckle a little and that stirs him up, he smacks his lips together as you lay on your tummy, facing him, his leg thrown over you.
Felix cracks one eye open and smiles instantly, his fingertips dancing on your back, all along your spine.
"Morning, sweets." his voice is even deeper when he wakes up, but still dripping with honey.
"Morning, love." you whisper and his smile widens, making him look even cuter to you so you lean in and press your lips to his forehead.
Your hand caresses his hair out of the way as your lips repeatedly collide with his skin, kissing his eyebrows, eyelids, nose, all of his starry freckles.
Felix giggles at the onslaught of love, giddy as his arm curls around your waist, bringing you even closer to him.
You enjoy the quiet moment before you have to get up and start your day, face the real world.
As your hands gently caress each other's skin, both of you become hungry for more, hungry to become one like you did last night, more than once.
Felix's breaths are shaky as he ruts his middle against your thigh, his hot leaky cock dragging against your plushy flesh.
You moan quietly as your hand explores his soft skin and Felix maneuvers you so your back is facing him.
"Wanna hold you." he murmurs into your hair, adjusting your leg before he sinks his cock into you easily, your cunt always ready to take him in.
Felix buries himself inside your warmth, holding you tightly as his lips attach to your neck and whisper words of love in your ear.
You melt into his embrace, letting him rock against you, his cock sliding in and out of your wetness in a steady rhythm, his arm wrapped around you as his fingers press on your clit.
Euphoria soon takes you both over as you spill into each other, all wet and warm, full of love.
"I love you, sweetheart." he kisses your shoulder and arm gently.
"I love you too." you turn to smile at him.
Yes, nothing is more beautiful than this moment right here.
-
"Lixie! Are you done getting ready?" you yell out from the hallway.
"Yes! I'm coming, babe." he yells back from your room before he comes skipping down the steps with a big smile on his face.
You chuckle at him as he jumps right in front of you, cupping your cheeks and pressing his lips into yours, a wet smooch sound echoing off the walls.
"You're so cute." your face is warm as you giggle at him.
"That's you." he pinches your cheek, making you whine a little.
"So, do you like my outfit?" he asks with a little spin, a bright smile on his face.
"Of course, you look very handsome." you giggle.
"Don't I always?" he wiggles his eyebrows and you roll your eyes at him playfully.
"Why is this new diner so special that you're sooo excited about it?" you ask as the two of you make your way out of your house.
Felix swings your linked hands and smiles.
"You'll see. I know you'll love it." his eyes shine as he beams at you.
"Fine, I trust you." you say and he brings your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles gently.
It's another beautiful sunny day, the birds are chirping in the trees, there is no trace of clouds in the sky, everyone around you seems to be happy, wearing big smiles and saying a polite 'good morning' as you pass them by.
You smile too, enjoying the sun's warmth as Felix yaps about a new video game he discovered recently.
Come to think of it, you don't remember the last time it rained or snowed.
While you ponder this, Felix notices your absent-mindedness and nudges you.
"You're not listening to me." he pouts.
"Sorry, I was just thinking how it's been sunny for so long that I almost forgot what it's like when it rains." you chuckle and Felix's eyes widen for a moment.
"Oh- I mean, isn't that good?" he asks, licking at his lip nervously.
"Sure, but it'd be nice to get some rain now and then." you shrug, looking around.
"I'm sure it'll rain soon." Felix is more quiet than usually when he says that but you pay no mind as the mysterious diner he'd been raving all week about finally comes into view.
"Felix!" you exclaim, grabbing at his arm, a big smile spreading on your face upon seeing what all the rave was about.
Your boyfriend's demeanor changes instantly as he perks up, a big smile on his face.
"It's a space themed diner!" you clap excitedly as you near the entrance.
"Mhm. Just what you love." Felix's eyes sparkle as he looks at your face adoringly. "Are you happy?" he adds.
"Happy? I'm estatic!" you practically skip the rest of the distance as Felix trails behind you with a satisfied smile on his face.
Seeing you like this is the biggest gift he could ever have the honor to indulge in, it's all he needs.
To see you happy.
You hurry inside and the interior of the diner makes you gasp.
The walls are filled with beautiful space paintings and photographs, the ceiling is made of some kind of big screen that has an entire galaxy lighting up here and there, as if all the little stars are actually shining above your heads, spacecraft oval shaped chandeliers hang from the stars, the little lights inside them shining with different colors of the rainbow.
The whole diner seems to be presented as the Solar System, each booth belonging to one planet and designed according to colors and traits of the planet.
Everything seems shiny and sparkly, some experimental electronic music is playing from the speakers as the waiters rush around, all dressed in shiny suits, with cute space details sewn into them.
The place is packed but as if it was waiting for you, the booth inspired by Jupiter, your favorite planet, is empty.
"Shall we?" Felix smiles, reaching his hand out to you.
You nod fervently, still trying to process the entire design of the diner, your heart dancing inside your chest happily.
Felix chuckles and leads you to the booth and as soon as you sit down, an automated voice starts talking from the little speaker on the wall.
"Welcome to Jupiter, the gas giant of our Solar System! It is primarily made out of gases and liquids so your feet won't really touch any ground but that's okay, you can always float along! Just be careful not to get swept away by the famous cyclonic storm called the Great Red Spot, hehe! Fun fact: Jupiter has 80 moons!" the voice talks.
"Startled me at first." you chuckle. "Actually, Jupiter has 95 moons discovered, as of lately. I guess they didn't update the fun fact." you add and Felix frowns.
"Hm." he purses his lips and you giggle. "How could they not update it?"
"It's okay, it's not that big of a deal." you giggle at his pouty face.
Before he can answer, a waiter appears next to your table.
"Hello, my fellow space explorers! I'm glad to see you've chosen Jupiter as your destination today. Take a look at the selection on our menu, it's just out of this world!" the waiter laughs, putting down your menus and twirling around as he walks away giving you some time to decide.
"This place is so kooky." you laugh in delight and your boyfriend smiles at you.
"You like it, right?" he asks.
"I love it, Lixie." you confirm and Felix's face becomes brighter again.
"I wanna try the Milky Way shake." Felix says as he skims through the menu.
"Yeah, we can get a big one, share it?" you blink at him and he melts.
"Of course. What do you wanna eat?" he asks.
"Um- the trip to the moon pancakes sound yummy."
"Ooh, I will get the andromeda cake then and we can share and taste both."
After placing your order, you look around, marvelling at the way they thought about every little detail as whoever made this put a lot of thought into this diner and is obviously a space lover like you.
Your eyes fall to another booth, the Mars one, hues of orange and red swirling on the wall and the seats as your eyes follow the intricate design all the way to the woman sitting in the booth with another woman, perhaps a friend, perhaps her lover.
Something seemed off, though.
The woman was taking sips from her glass, but it seemed like no matter how many times she sipped, the liquid inside didn't move.
Again, she took a big sip and you could see her throat move as she swallowed but the same amount of red liquid with little golden sparkles inside it remained.
You don't know why you were fixating on such a little detail, but it was so peculiar.
"What is it? You like the Mars booth more?" Felix follows your eyes.
"N-no. Just... nevermind." you smile at him. "I'm just looking at the different designs. They're all so pretty." you settle on saying.
"I'm glad- I mean yeah they are." he smiles at you.
Your Milky Way shake arrives along with your food, and everything looks sparkly and delicious, decorated with little edible stars and edible glitter.
Felix and you talk about nonsense, relaxed and full of laughter as you share the shake, sipping from it at the same time.
The way he stares at you, his eyes dark and intense yet so soft and full of love, makes your stomach do backflips every time he's this close to you.
After the delicious brunch, the two of you decide to take a walk to a nearby park, wanting to catch some fresh air and stretch your legs.
Felix's arm is wrapped around your shoulders as you melt into him, your arm wrapped around his waist.
"Ugh Felix, what day is it today?" you suddenly feel confused.
"It's Thursday. Why?" he chuckles.
"Weren't you supposed to be at work?" your brain struggles to remember if he said he had a day off or not.
"Y/n, don't be silly. I have the whole week free, remember? We said we'd spend as much time as we can together."
"Right." you chuckle, your memory refreshed. "Silly me. Must be the Milky Way shake with the way I'm spacing out."
Felix laughs at your pun as you wiggle your eyebrows at him.
The world is so beautiful with the sound of his laughter gracing it and with his attention focused only on you.
With warmness in your heart, you return to your home.
-
You work from home, so as soon as you arrive back at your house, you sit down at your desk.
You feel bad for not helping Felix with dinner but he reassures you that he doesn't mind cooking a meal for the two of you, in fact, it makes him happy.
Retreating into your home office, you began working.
Exhaustion takes you over after a few hours, not even realizing what time it is until there's a knock on your door.
"Y/n, love? Dinner is ready." it's Felix's warm deep voice and you turn to look at him, a smile on your face instantly.
"Okay, I'll be down in a few minutes-"
"Babe, you've done enough. Come on, you need to eat something." Felix makes his way to you, his hand gentle on your upper back as he caresses you.
You melt into his touch instantly, thoughts of continuing to work disperse immediately.
"Okay." you chuckle as he leans down to kiss your forehead gently.
The food is delicious like always and as you keep eating, the sky outside darkens suddenly.
You squint your eyes, lifting your head up to look out the window.
"Oh!" you exclaim as thunder rolls in.
Felix turns his head towards the sound, seemingly unphased but there is a small smirk dancing on his lips that you miss.
"Looks like it's gonna rain after all." he says.
"Yeah." you quip, a weird feeling settling in your stomach.
You decide to ignore it, it's a coincidence that it started raining just when you thought about it, it's not like you predicted the weather or something.
"Did you enjoy dinner?" Felix smiles and you nod.
"Of course, it was delicious. I'm not letting you wash the dishes alone though." you point at him jokingly.
"It's fine, sweetheart." Felix is quick to shake his head as he starts cleaning out the table.
"No, you cooked. Let me be useful for something at least."
"You are useful."
"You know what I meant." you say and he nods, the two of you settling on washing the dishes together.
As you're putting the last plate in its place, Felix appears behind you, pressing his body into yours as his arms wrap around you.
He whines, nuzzling his face in your neck as goosebumps rise on your skin and you melt into him.
"Hello there." you giggle.
"Mm." his lips attach to your neck, leaving gentle kisses and you lean your head back on his shoulder, giving him more space.
"Let's shower together." you suggest and Felix hums against you with a smirk.
It's a daily routine you have, any moment you don't have to spend apart, you spend together including showering.
If someone gave Felix the chance, he would quit his job and just be your boyfriend.
He often thought about that, spending every second of the day with you, even while you work, he'd be content in sitting quietly next to you.
He'd have you all to himself, forever.
But, real life gets in the way but he concludes that that's what makes every moment you are with him even more precious.
"Let me help you, sweetheart." his voice drips with honey again as he turns your back to him while the two of you stand under the shower.
Shivers run up your spine as his fingertips slide on your back.
He grabs your shampoo, pouring it on his hands before he starts washing your hair.
You relax into his touch, loving the way he always takes care of you. His hands are gentle but firm as he massages the bubbles into your scalp before rinsing it off.
As you lean back into him, his semi-hard cock brushes against your backside and you chuckle.
"Someone's getting excited." you look back at him with a playful smirk.
"Can you blame me? My beautiful girlfriend is naked right in front of me." he smiles somewhat of an innocent smile, a contrast to the steamy atmosphere shaping between you.
His arms wrap around you as he pulls your body flush against his, making you shiver.
"I need you, my sweet." he whispers, bumping his nose with yours, lips brushing against you.
"Lixie." his hands roam on your body, as you wrap your arms around his shoulders. "Let's go to bed, hm? I love the thought of shower sex but last time you slipped and almost cracked your head open on the tiles and I really don't want to go through that again."
Felix whines in embarassment, burying his face in your neck as he tightens his hold on you.
"That was one time. All the other times were fine." he pouts against your skin.
"I don't wanna see you hurting, come on." you say and he reluctantly follows you out of the shower.
After drying off, Felix whisks you away to your bedroom, almost throwing you down on the soft bed as you squeal, the room filled with laughter.
"My sweetheart." he coos at you, his hand cupping your cheek as his thumb swipes on your skin.
Before you can say anything, his plump lips are on yours as he kisses you lovingly, passionately, possessively, his tongue pushing inside and swirling around yours, taking your breath away.
You clutch onto him as he lowers his middle into yours, grinding his hardening cock against your wet pussy.
He keeps kissing you and swallowing your moans, as his tip catches your entrance a few times but he keeps grinding against you.
"L-Lix, need you." you whimper in frustration, wanting him to fill you up.
"Yeah? My baby needs me?" he smirks and you whimper again.
"Yes, please. Need you inside me." you bat your eyelashes at him, trying to look as cute as possible even though Felix would kiss the ground you walked on if you told him to.
"Such a good girl. Asking so nicely." he keeps smirking before grabbing his cock and slowly sinking into your heat.
Both of you moan at the feeling as he slowly pushes in, bottoming out and fitting snuggly inside you.
Felix tries, he really does, he tries to be gentle but you feel so damn good clenching around him, keeping his cock inside you, your legs and arms wrapped around him as he fucks into your sweet spot.
"Ah!" you exclaim as Felix picks up his speed, his hips snapping into you as he presses your knees to your shoulders, coming down on you with all his weight.
Your eyes roll in the back of your head as he fucks you relentlessy, making you cum in mere minutes.
"Shit, baby you're so wet." Felix looks down at his cock, the white cream of your pleasure painted on his length.
He grunts deeply before fucking into you again, the squelching sounds making your face and ears burn.
Your boyfriend is like a bunny in heat, never stopping or slowing down, making his cock slip out of you on accident as he keeps wilding above you.
A little whimper escapes his lips, missing your heat immediately as he grabs his length and pushes back into you, resuming his ruthless pace.
"Mm, yeah, take it." he groans and all you can do is moan as you let him have his way with you.
"F-Felix!" you moan as he brings you to your second orgasm.
"Yeah, say my name baby." he smirks as he pounds into you.
You keep moaning his name as you climax, getting his cock even more wet which in return makes him even crazier for you.
You're sure the bed will break with the force he's fucking you with, his cock slipping out of you a few more times, making him whimper every time it happens.
He grips your hips, thrusting into you erratically as his cock twitches inside you.
"Gonna give you my cum." his voice is whiny and high-pitched, breathless from the exertion.
"Yes, fill me up, Lixie!" you whimper and he cums, buried deep inside you as your pussy milks his cock down to the last drop.
Felix collapses on top of you and you hold each other, as you listen to the sound of the rain hitting the glass.
"Isn't it weird that it started raining as soon as I mentioned it?" you swallow, staring out the window, your hands drawing random patterns on Felix's back.
You feel him tense in your hold before he lets out a chuckle.
"No, maybe you heard it on the news and subconsciously thought about it or something. Or maybe..." he turns to look at you, his cheek leaned on your breast. "Maybe you have superpowers and you can predict the future." Felix wiggles his eyebrows playfully and you let out a snort.
"Oh sure, that sounds highly likely." you shake your head as he lifts up and kisses you.
"I love you." he smiles after attacking you with sweet kisses.
"I love you, Lixie." you cradle his face.
"Guess we gotta shower again?"
The next morning, you were woken up by Felix's lips on your inner thighs as he made his way to your core.
"Lix..." you mutter half asleep and he only hums in response, lips ghosting over your panties before pressing a kiss to your cunt.
"L-Lixie!" you whine when his tongue darts out to lick at the damp spot on the fabric.
"Relax, baby, let me take care of you." your eyes flutter closed again as he slips off your underwear, his lips wrapping around your clit immediately.
As always, Felix is hungry for you, like he can never get enough of your taste and the way you feel against his tongue, the way you grip his hair or press your thighs around his head.
He ruts against the bedsheets as you slide your middle against tongue, gripping his hair.
He moans into you, the vibrations helping you get closer to the edge as he digs his nails into your plushy thighs.
Fireworks explode from the inside, spilling your sweet juices on Felix's tongue and chin.
"Mm, baby." he whines against your cunt, lapping you up and leaving more kisses on your clit and all along your folds.
"Sensitive..." you whimper and he leans back before lifting up and hovering over you.
"I couldn't help myself, you just looked so sweet while sleeping." Felix bites on his lip as he looks at you adoringly.
"Oh, I don't mind." you smirk. "Let me help you."
"Um..." his face becomes red suddenly. "I - erm, finished already."
"Oh. Oh." you look down at his boxers.
"Embarassing, really."
"It's not. I'm flattered actually." you smirk, caressing his face.
Felix chuckles cutely before leaning down to kiss you.
"What's the plan for today?" you ask against his lips.
"Well, I was thinking we could have a picnic. I mean, it's sunny again." he nods towards the window.
"Okay, I love picnics." you smile as he gets up.
"Actually, I don't remember when was the last time I went on a picnic." you purse your lips, sitting up.
For some reason, memories seem blurry when you start thinking about them, it almost hurts your brain to try and remember well; almost anything.
"We had one like a month ago. Remember? You cut up fruits in the shapes of little stars." Felix says, rummaging through his drawer.
It's as if it suddenly appears in your mind, the clear memory of you preparing for the picnic together with Felix, enjoying a sunny day in the nature.
"Right, I remember now." you chuckle nervously. "Why couldn't I remember that?"
"You just woke up, you need some coffee, my love." Felix comes up to you and kisses your head.
"I'm gonna go take a quick shower." he says and you nod, watching him leave to the bathroom.
You get up and make your way to the kitchen, making some coffee and toast for the two of you, before you start preparing snacks for the picnic.
While you're working on the sandwiches, you can't shake off the uneasy feeling that's creating a knot in your stomach.
When was the last time you went outside without Felix? When was the last time he walked out of the house to go to work? When was the last time you talked to your family?
You can't remember. None of it.
Before you start panicking, Felix appears in the kitchen, startling you.
"Oh, Lix!" you exclaim, your hand on your chest.
"What scared you? It's just me." he smiles sweetly at you.
You stare at him for a moment, could he be hiding something from you?
But Felix is always so caring and loving, he is the best partner you could ever ask for.
He always makes an effort, takes you out on dates, takes care of you when you're tired or sick, is attentive towards your wants and needs; he actually listens to you when you talk.
He loves you.
"Y/n?" Felix chuckles, waving a hand in front of your face.
"Ah, sorry." you laugh awkwardly. "Was just lost in thought."
"What were you thinking about?" Felix grabs one of the toasts you made and bites into it.
"You. How wonderful of a boyfriend you are." you settle on saying, because it is sort of true.
"Aw, darling. Only the best for you." he skips towards you with a big smile, enveloping you in a bone crushing hug as you squeal and grab at him, both of you laughing.
How could you even doubt him?
Felix helps you with the rest of the snacks before the two of you get ready and walk out into another beautiful sunny day.
The walk is short, as there is a park near to your house, your memory now refreshed as you see the tree you always sit under coming into view.
Felix and you race towards the tree, laughing and giddy like little children.
You almost get there first but his arms wrap around your middle and he pulls you back into him, making you almost drop the basket of food you were carrying.
"Lixie! That's cheating!" you put as he turns you around and touches the tree with his foot.
"I won!" Felix smirks.
You pout at him as he puts his backpack down and takes out the picnic blanket.
"Not fair." you whine and he chuckles at you, cupping your face.
"Fine, you won and I'm just a dirty cheater." he smirks and you laugh as he kisses you.
"There, is that better?" he rubs his nose against yours.
"Yes." you nod, making him laugh.
The two of you settle on the blanket, even bringing a speaker so you can play some music while you chat and eat.
After some time, Felix wraps his arm around you and leans on you so you wrap your arms around him as he settles on your chest.
It's quiet for a while and since your focus is not on Felix at the moment, you start looking around.
Cars roll in the distance, one, two, three, four, five, six, then again... It seems as if the same six cars keep passing by.
You stare in disbelief before your eyes fall near the pond where a man is throwing a stick to his dog.
It lands next to a tree and the dog runs to get it, bringing it back to its owner. Then it repeats, the man throws the stick, it lands next to the same tree, the dog gets it, the man throws the stick...
The stick keeps landing on the exact same spot next to that tree, the probability of that is too low for it to be happening repeatedly.
"Lix?" you swallow.
"Yes, sweets?" Felix looks up at you.
"Do you ever- do you ever feel like something is wrong? But you can't quite put your finger on it."
"What do you mean?" he lifts up to look at you, his eyes searching yours.
"Well... Look at that man and his dog." you point and Felix turns to look.
"What about them?"
"Watch where the stick lands." you say and Felix watches as it lands next to the tree.
And so it does again. And again.
"So?" he licks his lips.
"How is he hitting the exact same spot every time?"
"Good hand-eye coordination? Practice?" Felix says, a nervous smile on his face.
You sigh in frustration.
"What about the road? Look at the road!" you point again and Felix looks.
"The same six cars keep going round and round."
"They're not the same, it just seems so."
"Felix, something is wrong. I can feel it! Like how it started raining when I mentioned it. And the lady in the diner yesterday, she kept drinking from her glass but the amount of liquid stayed the same."
"Babe, that's silly. Nothing is wrong. I'm sure it just seemed so, maybe the glass was in the same color as her drink?" Felix places his hand on yours cautiously.
"Lix... I don't know, it's just that I can't remember certain things and it's bothering me."
Felix's eyes dart left and right, his lips pursed.
"Like what?"
"Like the last time I saw my friends or family. The last time you left the house. The last time I was home alone."
"We visited your family two months ago. You saw your friends last weekend. I left the house last week every day when I was working and you were home alone then." Felix frowns as he looks at you. "Baby, are you feeling alright?" he adds, touching your forehead and your eyes water.
"N-no." you whimper, feeling so confused and wondering what the hell is wrong with you.
"How about we go home and you take a nap? I promise you'll feel better after sleeping." Felix coos at you, caressing your face.
"Are you sure it's gonna be okay?" you hiccup.
"I promise, my love." he smiles, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
Felix takes you home, and you trust him when he lays you down and whispers how everything is going to be just fine.
You wake up from your nap feeling drowsy and slightly confused.
Felix is next to you, his arms wrapped around you as he breathes deeply.
You sit up, grabbing the glass of water he has left on the nightstand for you when you wake up.
After sipping on the refreshing liquid, you look outside the window and freeze.
"What the fuck?" you mumble to yourself, squinting your eyes as you get up.
"What the fuck?" you repeat, trying to process what your eyes are seeing and Felix stirs behind you.
"Babe?" he grunts a little as he sits up.
"L-Lix..." your voice is shaky as you start panicking.
Felix gets up as you keep staring out the window.
The void stares back at you.
There is nothing outside. No road, no trees, no supermarket, it's not the street you live on, it's one big nothing; just a white light.
"Oh, shit!" Felix exclaims as he sees what you're looking at.
"I told you! I told you something is wrong!" you turn to look at your boyfriend, tears sliding down your cheeks.
But instead of looking scared, Felix looks angry.
"Fucking shit!" his voice raises as his hands reach towards the books on your table, and in frustration he pulls on them, making them clatter down on the floor.
"Felix!" you exclaim as he starts raging, throwing everything on the table down to the floor in a wave of anger.
You've never seen him like this, panicking you step back, not knowing how to react to his outburst or what it all means.
Felix looks up at you suddenly, his eyes softening and filling up with guilt.
"I'm- I'm sorry, y/n."
"Tell me what is happening." you say and he shakes his head.
"Stay here." he says and you step towards him.
"No, tell me what's going on!" you demand and the scowl is back on your boyfriend's face.
"Stay right here and stop asking fucking questions." he says angrily, making you flinch before he leaves the room.
The door slams behind him and as you make your move to follow him, you hear the lock click.
"Felix?" you grip the handle, trying to open up the door. "Felix! You can't just lock me in here without any explanation!" you scream, rattling and kicking the door.
"Felix, please come back!" you yell, your fists pounding against the wood. "I'm scared." you add quietly as fresh tears spill down your cheeks.
Felix disconnects the VR set from his head.
How the fuck did this happen?
How come it didn't render the street as it always does? Why have you started noticing the little things you've never noticed before? Why have you started thinking about your past so much?
He opens up the code with a frustrated sigh, his fingers gliding against the keyboard.
Maybe the AI is getting stronger and more brainy the more he plays with it.
Felix's eyebrows knit together as he goes over the thousands lines of code, trying to figure out if there is some kind of mistake that the computer is not picking up on.
His stomach grumbles and he leans back with a sigh, the virtual food can only do so much.
Felix finally stands up from his table, realizing how long he must've been sitting there judging by the ache in his legs and back.
"I'll deal with you later." he waves his finger towards the computer before picking up his phone and ordering pizza.
He grabs a can of soda from his fridge and looks around.
It's eerily quiet in his apartment, save for the silent buzzing of his computer and the distant hum of traffic outside.
Felix makes his way to the big glass windows, staring down at the city before him.
He's gonna have to go back to work on Monday, knowing he can't spend as much time with you the way he wants to when his vacation days end, brings a sadness to his soul.
The 'you' who basically doesn't exist, you who is just lines and lines of code, a program, there only when he disconnects from reality.
If he could, Felix would disconnect from it forever just so he could be inside the damn device next to you, always.
And now since he made you upset, it's going to be hard to get everything back how it was before, under his control.
He gets angry at himself for not being more careful and adding in more details, all for the sake of just being with you the whole time, seeing you happy and satisified.
Yes, that's all Felix wants.
He wants to be the only one you smile at, the only one that gets to enjoy something so holy and beautiful like your love and your touch.
The doorbell snaps him out of his thoughts and after paying the delivery guy, Felix sits alone and eats his dinner while thinking of ways to correct his mistakes.
You were not gonna slip from his fingers.
This won't be ruined for him.
You open your eyes and turn to see Felix already awake, on his side, his head propped on his hand as he stares at you lovingly.
"Good morning, my angel." he smiles at you.
"M-morning. I- ugh... I feel weird. I think I had a nightmare." your throat is dry as you swallow and Felix grabs the glass of water, bringing it to your lips.
"What kind of nightmare?"
"Well, there was nothing outside- outside the windows. And you got mad and started throwing stuff around. You really scared me."
"Oh my love, that would never happen." Felix quickly wraps his arms around you. "Everything outside is fine too, look." he turns you both towards the window and sure enough, everything looks normal.
"I'm so glad it was just a dream. I never want us to fight or anything." you whimper and Felix shushes you.
"Everything is perfect, my love. And I will make sure it stays that way." Felix mutters into your hair before pressing a few sweet kisses there.
"It's my last free day before going to work. Let's enjoy it together, without you worrying your pretty head about anything, hm?" he adds and you nod with a chuckle.
Felix and you decide to go bowling and then out for lunch, topping the outing off with a nice walk near the beach and everything seems perfect again; nothing like the bad dream you had or the unsettling feeling in your stomach.
No, that feeling was replaced with butterflies as Felix smiled lovingly at you, telling you how much he loves you.
When you got home, you spent hours in each other's embrace, connected as one.
Everything was beautiful, the way it was supposed to be.
It's Monday and Felix makes his way to work.
The bell on the door chimes as he opens it, eyes looking up at him from the counter.
He smiles wide as he enters.
"Hi, Lix!" you smile innocently at him.
"Hey, y/n." he smiles back, the voices in his head telling him he's sick but he ignores them.
"How was your vacation? Did something fun?" you ask, always so sweet, so polite, so pretty.
"Oh yeah. It was amazing." he nods at you.
You smile, not wanting to pry too much, unaware of what Felix has been doing for almost two years since he started working with you.
As soon as he saw you for the first time, Felix swears he felt Cupid shoot his arrow right into his heart. You were so beautiful, so pure like an angel.
Always smiling, always nice with everyone. The sound of your laughter melodious inside the cafe, echoing off the walls.
You always gave extra sweets to kids.
You always stayed behind to clean up.
You always offered to help out.
He wanted to have you all to himself.
He wanted to capture your beauty and innocence and hold it in the palm of his hand, have it exist only for him.
Yes, Felix could've confessed or asked you out.
But then you would see how boring he is, how he has nothing to offer to you.
You'd leave him, you'd smile at someone else, your attention wouldn't be only directed towards him.
Felix started staying behind with you, under the guise of helping you out just to get more information about where you live, what you enjoy, what you dislike, what your hobbies are.
It wasn't enough.
He became obsessed.
Felix learned your schedule and started breaking into your house.
At first, he stole some panties and went through all your stuff, reading your diaries, going through your photographs, taking your privacy away from you without you having a clue about it.
But then it became worse as he would wait for you to come home, his body cramped under your bed.
He would watch you get undressed, listen to you touch yourself on your bed, his cock straining against his pants and he couldn't do anything about it except squeeze it occasionally.
Embarassingly, he came into his pants while only listening to you more times than he'd like to admit.
It wasn't enough.
Felix was hungry for more.
That's how he came to the idea to steal your dna and feed it to the new AI system he was working on in his spare time.
He had to collect enough of it to have the ai take on your personality, the one he loved and admired so much.
Felix spent hours and hours coding and working on the program, until finally he could use it.
It was everything he wanted and more.
You were happy there.
You were his there.
Here, in the real world, you were just coworkers and that fact started bothering Felix more and more.
Unaware of his intentions, you smiled at Felix and he smiled back at you.
It was time to take another step so he could have you for real this time.
Tonight, you were gonna become his and there was no way to escape.
Felix was gonna show you how happy he can make you, only him.
You're going to be right where you belong.

i can’t stop thinking of taking care of quinn after a game 🥹 he’s so tired and sleepy, all his limbs are sore so you offer to wash his hair in the shower and it’s so calm and domestic.
i desperately need to leave so many kisses on his beautiful face 😔
You’re waiting just outside the dressing room, off to the side where it’s quieter, away from the echo of voices and the hum of disappointed fans slowly filing out of the arena. The air still buzzes with the energy of the game, but it’s tinged with a heaviness — the weight of a hard loss on home ice, the kind that lingers.
When Quinn finally steps out, he looks worn, his shoulders rounded, his hair damp from a post-game rinse, and there’s a look in his eyes that shows he’s replaying every shift in his mind. The usual spark in his eyes is dimmed, replaced by something tired, a mix of frustration and exhaustion. But then he spots you, and a small, almost grateful smile pulls at the corners of his mouth. He doesn’t say a word, just closes the space between you, slipping into your arms and melting against you in a way that’s rare, like he’s finally letting himself breathe.
He lets out a long sigh, his hands settling on your waist, pulling you close. The tension seems to ease just a little, the world around you fading as he leans his forehead to your shoulder, taking a moment just to exist here, with you, away from the weight of the game.
“Hey,” you whisper, your hands moving gently over his back, each touch slow and steady, like you’re drawing out the tension with every pass. After a few moments, you murmur, “want me to drive us home tonight?”
Quinn lets out a soft chuckle, shaking his head as he pulls back slightly to look at you. “I’m okay,” he replies, his voice low and steady, but you catch the tired glint in his eyes.
“As long as you’re sure,” you smile, brushing a loose strand of hair from his forehead.
With a gentle squeeze of your hand, he tugs you towards the exit, falling into an easy rhythm beside you. His arm slips around your shoulders, drawing you close, and you lean into him as you make your way through the quiet hallways and out to the car, his fingers tracing light, absent patterns on your shoulder as you walk.
The drive back is quiet, the streets dim and familiar. At a red light, he reaches for your hand, giving it another squeeze before settling it on the console, where you gently rub your thumb over his knuckles. He doesn’t say much, but every now and then, he glances over, and you catch the soft smile he gives you, the one that says thank you without needing the words.
As soon as you’re home, Quinn barely manages to kick off his shoes before he’s pulling you in close again, his hand slipping around to the small of your back, head tucked on your shoulder with eyes closed for a moment, just breathing you in.
“You’re really wiped, huh?” you say softly, fingers lightly scratching at the base of his neck.
“Yeah,” he murmurs, lips grazing your shoulder, “just one of those nights.”
You smile and take a step back, slipping your hands under his blazer to slide it off his shoulders.
“Alright, let’s get you sorted,” you say, pressing a light kiss to his collarbone as you unbutton his shirt.
He hums in appreciation, the familiar rhythm between you both easing the edges of his exhaustion.
"Shower?" you murmur, your voice soft, already drifting down the hall toward the bathroom.
Quinn's nod is slow, almost lazy, as he tips his head back against the door frame, watching you with a half-lidded gaze as you slide out of your jacket.
He takes his time following, each step weighted, and by the time he joins you, the bathroom is filled with a gentle haze of steam, the air warm and inviting, ready to offer him a respite.
You’re already under the warm stream, your head tilting slightly as the water cascades down, welcoming the steam as it swirls around you. When you see him approach, you shift over a little, making space for him to join you, and he steps in slowly, eyes already closing as the water pours over his head.
Once he’s settled under the stream, you gently close the distance between you, stepping in close until your chest is flush against his back. Your hands come up to settle around his torso, holding him loosely, a silent reassurance that you’re here for him.
For a moment, he just breathes, taking in the warmth of the water and the quiet, steady support of your presence behind him. There’s no need for words as he lets his shoulders drop, leaning back into you, letting himself relax, if only for a while.
With a gentle touch, you reach for the shampoo, lathering it in your hands before threading your fingers through his hair, careful and soothing. You work in slow circles, letting the suds build, your fingers tracing paths over his scalp, easing out the tension he holds there. Each movement is deliberate, unhurried, as if your hands could wash away every bit of disappointment weighing him down.
He lets out a quiet sigh, leaning a little more into you, his posture softening as your hands move gently through his hair, each touch a small gesture of care.
It’s an unspoken language between you — the way you know he doesn’t want to talk about it just yet, doesn’t want to break the silence with words. Instead, he leans into your touch, lets himself be cared for, lets the day dissolve under the warmth of the water and your hands.
You guide him to tilt his head under the stream, rinsing away the shampoo, and your fingers comb carefully through his hair, making sure every last bit is gone. He opens his eyes briefly, glancing sideways at you with a soft, grateful look that says more than words ever could.
Reaching for the body wash, you work up a lather in your hands before beginning to massage his shoulders, moving down his arms, his back, over his hips… the soap slipping over his skin as you press gently, releasing the tension that still lingers. His breathing slows, his chest expanding with each deep breath as he lets himself sink into the feeling of your hands easing away the last of his strain.
As you both step out of the shower, wrapped in the warmth and lingering steam, you grab a towel and hand it to him, then reach for one yourself. You catch his eye, and he gives you that tired look, the one that says all he wants is to be close to you.
Smiling softly, you step closer, your hands gently framing his face as you press a kiss to his jaw, then his cheek, and finally to the corner of his mouth, each touch soft and grounding.
His eyes flutter closed, and he leans into each kiss, a small, tired smile tugging at his lips. He lets out a slow sigh, his shoulders relaxing as he opens his eyes again, a hint of warmth returning to his gaze.
“Thanks,” he murmurs, voice low and softened by exhaustion.
He leans in, his face close to yours again, and then his mouth brushes against yours, warm and unhurried, a touch that lingers. His hand comes up to cradle your cheek, steadying himself in the closeness, his breath mingling with yours savouring the quiet connection.
You just smile, resting your hand over his before leading him out to get dressed.
Once you’re both in cozy clothes, you settle on the sofa, flicking on the TV to something low and soft — a random movie just for the background. Quinn sinks down between your legs, resting his head in your lap, a small, tired smile crossing his face as he looks up at you.
Your fingers find their way back into his hair, carding through the damp strands, and he closes his eyes for a moment, letting out a long breath. The weight of the night still lingers, but here, in this quiet space, it feels a little lighter.
After a while, you notice that he’s been staring at the ceiling, biting his cheek just like he always does when he’s overthinking. His hand rests on your knee, fingers tapping absentmindedly, the weight of tonight’s loss still weighing on his shoulders.
“Hey,” you say softly, brushing your fingers a little more deliberately through his hair. “Keep staring like that, and you’re going to burn a hole in the ceiling.”
A small, reluctant smile tugs at his lips, but he doesn’t meet your eyes, his gaze still distant. “Just… thinking,” he mutters.
You tilt your head, keeping your tone light but gentle. “Dangerous territory,” you tease, your fingers tracing soft circles along his temple. “Wanna talk about it?” you ask quietly, leaving him with the choice to open up if he wants to.
He lets out a long sigh, his hand squeezing your knee slightly as he finally speaks. “It’s… I don’t know. I know it’s just one game, but when you’re the one who’s supposed to set the example, it feels like…” He trails off, searching for the right words. “It feels like I let them down. Like I should’ve done more. I keep replaying it, you know?”
You offer him a soft smile, your hands smoothing down over his chest, tracing slow, gentle lines along the fabric of his shirt. You keep the motion steady, one hand resting lightly over his heart, the other moving in a calming rhythm across his collarbone and down to his chest, settling there as he continues to talk.
“I mean, I know it’s a team loss,” he says, his voice a little lower, a little rougher. “But as captain, it… It’s on me to make sure we don’t fall apart out there, to keep everyone together. And tonight…” He sighs again, biting his cheek. “I don’t know. Maybe I’m just… maybe I’m taking it too personally.”
You just keep running your fingers through his hair, letting him get it all out. The movie plays softly in the background, forgotten as he lets out everything he’s been holding back, every bit of frustration and self-doubt he’s been carrying since the buzzer.
And then he finally falls quiet, a little sheepish as he realizes he’s been rambling.
Quinn looks up at you, a slight, embarrassed smile on his face. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to go on like that.”
You shake your head, smiling softly. “Nothing to apologise for.” Your fingers brush through his hair again, reassuring and gentle. “You know I’m always here for you.”
He chuckles, a bit self-conscious, before bringing your hand to his mouth and pressing a soft kiss to your palm. “You’re too good to me,” he murmurs, his voice warm and grateful.
You give his hand a squeeze. “Someone’s got to be.”

like him. - ft. kinich
synopsis - kinich often forgets his birthday, though you give him reason to remember.
includes -not proofread, rushed cuz i wrote this for his birthday on a whim :3, fluff, mentions of death (kinich's lore), very short, i think that's all (?) but please lmk if i missed smt!! .
a/n - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WIFE I REACHED FRIENDSHIP 10 W/ HIM LIKE YESTERDAY :3 written whilst listening to chromakopia and charm. 10/10 experience I love clairo and tyler
the sun shines through the blinds, lingering directly on kinich's face. it makes him look even more ethereal than usual, his long lashes closed together and his plump lips just slightly pursed. he's adorable.
it's hot. you swear you're sweating under kinich's warmth, his head buried into your chest. the strands of his hair tickle your chin, further adding to your slight discomfort. you need to get up anyways! it's your boyfriend's birthday, and there's much to prepare! but you can't, not he's practically sprawled across you, weighing you down with pounds of muscle.
you begin inching one of your arms from under him before attempting to slide away, only to feel a strong arm hook itself around your waist, pulling you back into him with a weak mumble. he further buries his head into your chest, humming softly.
"kinich.." you coo, brushing his hair out of his face before pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. "i need to get up." he pushes his head into the crook of your neck, a silent, stubborn response to your pleading. you sigh, "ten more minutes." kinich nods, his cold hands moving under your shirt and gliding along your back, leaving shivers in their wake.
you wouldn't be up for an hour. you had ended up falling asleep once more, with kinich's arms being too warm, too familiar, and too comforting to prevent your lids from closing. you were tempted to scold him, but it's his birthday.
he used to forget when it was his birthday, not that anything good had ever happened on it. the date 11/11 attaches itself to the death of his father. he remembers dragging his limp body, struggling as he had nothing more than a grappling hook and the strength of a seven-year-old boy.
but you gave him reason to remember such a date, when you woke him up with a breakfast in bed and a peck to the forehead. you two would go on a picnic, feeding him the ripest berries as you ramble about mundane things, such as work and a lost, baby yumkasaurus you saw on your walk home.
he hangs on to every word, even when you try to convince him that you should adopt a saurian together. he smiles at the request, giving you a slight shrug and an, "i'll see what i can do."
you give him a reason to remember when you try your best to cook him a nice meal for dinner to share over candlelight, only to burn the blazed meat for the stew. you two would end up eating microwave ramen over said candlelight.
you give him a reason when you bring your palms to his flushed cheeks, pressing warm kisses to his lips. you insist you must give him one kiss for each year he's been alive, to which he forces back his smile.
you give him a reason to remember when you feed him bites of the sunsettia-flavored cake you baked with kachina and mualani last night, the sweet flavor making him feel like he's floating. the way you push the fork past his lips, gazing at him as if he were the only man in the world...
he finds comfort in his birthday now, and it's only because you give him reason to.

Pau with a girlfriend who has a condition who makes her faint a lot? I feel like he’d be so attentive and caring
I can and I will — Pau Cubarsí.
Pairing: Pau Cubarsí x Fem!Reader
Summary: Having extremely low blood pressure was the norm for you, but ever since you started dating Pau, he’d taken it more seriously than you had. And you loved him for it.
Word count: 700+
Disclaimer/s: Mentions of fainting , low blood pressure , accidents that’s happened from the condition , ect.
A/N: I didn’t want to write about something I couldn’t capture accurately buttt I used to have very low blood pressure and would faint because of it so I just went with this …
Pau was very… attentive. He noticed the slightest wobble in your step, the way your eyes seemed to go dull, or when you’d heat up. He’d taken every precaution to assure you wouldn’t faint. He worried a lot, and you hated to make him stress so much.
It was a particularly hot summer day, so the two of you decided it was best to stay inside. Pau had set his bedroom in the specific way you liked, almost like a cocoon of pillows and blankets. You’d planned on binge watching the new season of your favorite show, but you’d forgotten one simple thing.
“Shit.” You grumble, turning to your boyfriend. “I need to go get water.”
Pau nods in understanding, concern flashing across his face. “You sure you wanna go get it? I don’t mind—“
“Pau, babe.” You groan, “i’m fine. Sit back, chill out.”
Sometimes his protectiveness agitated you. It made you feel like you couldn’t do anything, despite knowing he didn’t mean to make you feel that way. You knew your words may have hurt him, so you compensate by placing a quick and tender kiss to his lips.
Sliding your legs over the side of the bed, you stand. Too quick. Your vision zooms in and out, spotting all around. Great. You were too slow to sit back down, your knees giving out beneath you.
Before you could fall, you feel Pau’s arms wrap around your torso, successfully stopping your tumble. “I told you I should’ve..” He trails off with a grumble, pushing the hair from your face as you collect your breathing.
“Don’t rub it in.” You grumble, the nauseating feeling pooling in your stomach as you allow yourself to slump into his arms.
“Lay down, i’ll go get you water and some crackers.” Pau frowns, planting a kiss to your forehead. He did that a lot, you’d noticed it was his way of checking your temperature without being obvious. “And some ibuprofen.”
Weakly climbing back into your cocoon, you toss the fuzzy blanket aside to let your body cool down. Your eyes remain closed even when you hear Pau’s heavy footsteps coming closer.
“Sit up.” He urges quietly, sitting on the edge of the bed with a glass of ice water and medicine in his hands, and crackers tucked under his arm.
You do as told, rubbing your temples. “What would I do without you?”
“Hit your head on a sharp object? Oh wait, you actually have already done that before.” He quips, the corner of his lip twitching, causing you to roll your eyes.
“Ha ha.” You mumble, taking the water and pills gratefully. “Thank you.”
“Always.” He says, giving you a genuine, but short smile. Every time you fainted or came close to it, he felt his heart stop. Sometimes, he felt like he could faint from concern.
Once you take the pills and drink your water, you get comfortable again with Pau climbing onto the bed beside you. He pulls you half way onto his chest, pressing play on the TV.
While you munch away and regain your strength, Pau’s fingers play with your hair, tucking strands behind your ear and repeating the soothing motion. When you finally feel better, you glance up at him.
“I love you, y’know that, right?”
Pau tilts his head down to meet your gaze, a smile forming. “Of course I do. I love you, too.”
Your lips form a tight lipped, almost shameful, smile, “I feel bad, you shouldn’t have to baby me. I should’ve thought about this stuff before we got into bed.”
“Hey,” his eyebrows furrow, “you don’t always have to do things on your own. I’m your boyfriend, I love you, and If I can help, I will. Always.”
You couldn’t control yourself. You loved this boy more than anything in the world. Setting your half eaten bag of crackers aside, you roll on top of him, placing kisses all across his face. All the while, you murmur dozens of ‘I love you’s’.
Pau chuckles through your burst of affection, putting a stop to it only so his hands could cup your cheeks. He pulls your face to his lips, greeting yours in a long, warm kiss.

NO DOUBT、I LOVE YOU! — ENHYPEN MEMBERS TELLING YOU THAT YOU’RE THE ONE!
hyung line!enhypen x fem reader 1000+ words warning kissing pet names jealousy drinking genre fluff, slightly suggestive mikaela’s note happy comeback! i jumped the moment niki sang the chorus. i got carried away as the members progress haha (jake i want you so bad) | collection
LEE HEESEUNG
The unfamiliar feeling of deep green envy bubbles up your chest and straight into your heart as you stare at your boyfriend — who’s familiar lean figure is nestled between Jay and another girl you’ve yet to get to know. And yet here you are by yourself, swept in coldness by the absence of your boyfriend by your side.
It was the first time you and Heeseung had argued since you got together five months ago — a rather long honeymoon phase. Your teeth gnaw fervently on your lips in slight panic, eyes glued on your boyfriend’s figure, overall too consumed with jealousy to notice his lack of comfort.
Even though Heeseung sits squished between two people, the lack of you makes his heart feel cold. And he notices the way your tongue sweeps over your lips, eyes darting away every time your gaze catches his. It’s too cute the way you’re obviously jealous.
“You jealous, baby?” Heeseung whispers, as he pulls you into an empty room, leaving his friend behind, “no need to be, you’re the only one that I want.”
Your lips part ever so slightly at the sudden confession, and Heeseung takes the chance to pull you in, placing his lips on your pillowy ones — slightly swollen from the constant biting. And the ever familiar feeling of his warmth returns back to your heart where it belongs.
“I’m sorry,” you mutter, head dipped down,“I should have listened to you first before jumping into conclusions.” Soft fingertips dance against the skin of your chin as he lifts your head up to kiss you yet again. “I’m sorry baby, I should’ve told you before.”
“I love you.”
PARK JONGSEONG
Your footsteps are hurried as you rush into the nearby pub, eyes scanning around for your boyfriend, only to find him slumped in a corner — eyes half opened, slick backed hair with strands poking out, and tie half undone. His head drooping side to side as his mouth muttered incoherently.
“Thanks for coming, he wouldn’t stop blabbering about you,” Jake said, moving over to give you space to sit next to Jay. He opens his eyes at the arrival of a new touch, cheeks flushed a shade or coral red and eyes glimmering at the sight of you.
“Love,” he speaks out, face housing an uncontrollable, geeky grin as he stares into you, and your heart pumps irregularly in the name of love. “I love you,” he says, fingers tracing your features from your eyes to your lips — and it’s almost like he’s casting a spell the way his touch is so gently intricate.
“I love you, love,” this time he says it more firmly, as if it was a proven fact, something he had known for a long time. And you stare at him, entranced at his very rawness of love, smiling goofily at a side of your boyfriend you don’t see too often.
“Are you not going to say it back?” He frowns, eyebrows furrowed as strands of hair fall back onto his sweaty forehead.
“I love you too.”
SIM JAEYUN
You absolutely regret introducing your friends to Sim Jaeyun with the way they’re clamouring around him, eager to get to know him more — as if you weren’t the one to know him first. His signature styled hair and thick black rimmed glasses that sit perfectly on his nose — the very features that lured you in once now irked you to your very core.
“Where did you get the hot nerd from,” your friend squeals, “can you link me up with him? Heard he’s single.” Your jaw clenches, lips tightly shut as you give her a small smile. Your heart eager to correct her yet your mind telling you to slow down, that you and Jake were nothing other than just friends.
“Sorry, think you heard wrong,” an arm swings over your shoulder, pulling your body closer to his, “this one’s got me.” The deep aussie accent puts you into a daze once again as your head swivels over to look at Jake, lips brushing against his face from the lack of space between the two of you.
“Isn’t that right, princess?” He asks, a mischievous glint in his eye. And all you can do is nod as she leaves the both of you alone.
“Jake? We aren’t in a relationship,” you state, head tilted slightly. And Sim Jaeyun has never seen someone as adorable as you look right now.
“Now that everyone thinks we are, we might as well right?” The cheeky glint in his eyes never leaving as his fingers move to tuck strands of hairs behind your ear, eyes darting from your lips to your eyes and back before moving closer to press his lips onto yours.
“Now that you’ve kissed me, i’m yours forever baby.”
PARK SUNGHOON
Being roommates with the devil’s incarnate might be the harder thing on earth, not to mention how insanely hot he is. The underlying tension and long gazes at each other makes it hard to breathe even in the familiarity of your own house. He invades all your senses — from simple habits of walking around topless to his teasing comments that leave you flustered.
“Leaving so soon?” Sunghoon questions as he steps into the kitchen with you, away from the dining room full of his friends. “Don’t like me that much?” He grins, sharp canine fangs on display.
“Yeah that, and also i’m tired,” you answer back, holding back a yawn of your own. Sunghoon feels his heart sink slightly at the thought of your absence in tonight’s round of gaming — the smile you have when he lets you win. “I’m going to bed now,” you tell him, turning your back around.
“Where’s my goodnight kiss,” he jokes, leaning over the counter, lean muscles on full display under the tank he’s donned. You turn back, face red and flustered at the sudden direct comment — you’ve always thought that Sunghoon was good looking, yet you’ve never really made a move given your relationship as roommates.
“I’m not giving you a goodnight kiss, Hoon,” you lament, tossing the idea of him flirting with you out of your mind. “So you want me to give you a goodnight kiss?” Sunghoon asks, his tone void of any mischief, as his eyes stare into yours with some kind of want.
And suddenly it’s quiet, the muffled laughter from the dining room gone, leaving the two of you in serene tension. Sunghoon’s ring clad fingers dancing against the slight revelation of your waist, cold metal a stark contrast to the warmth between you two.
He bends down to kiss you, and it isn’t a short one off peck — it’s raw and passionate, as if he’s wanted this all his life. And when it finally breaks off, the two of you are left gasping for air.
“I like you,” he says, breathless, “actually I think i might be in love with you.”
This time you pull him into you.

Finley’s first birthday
word count: 4.2k
the very last chapter in Finley’s last year! I do have other bits written for the williamson’s for when he’s older with siblings but I’m not sure if I’ll post them <33
find the masterlist here!
March 29th 2025 | 1 year old.
You stirred as the sun peeked through the curtains and shined on your face, instinctively turning toward Leah beside you. The peaceful rise and fall of her chest was a sight you had always cherished, but today, on her 28th birthday, it felt even more special.
March 29th had always been a favourite day for you because it was a day dedicated to the woman you loved the most. It was a whole day where you got to celebrate her and she couldn’t say a word.
Last year the day got even more special. You gave birth to your baby boy and now you get to celebrate your two favourite people in one day.
A smile tugged at your lips as you lay there for a moment, simply watching her, memorising the way her blonde hair fanned out across the pillow, the gentle curve of her lips, and the way she looked so peaceful as she slept.
It was a rare luxury to have these quiet moments in the morning before Finley woke up, and you weren’t about to waste it. You leaned in close, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead, your lips lingering there for a second before moving to her temple, then to the bridge of her nose. Leah stirred slightly, her brow furrowing in that adorable way she did when she was waking up.
You continued your gentle assault of kisses, letting your lips brush over her closed eyelids, her cheeks, the corner of her mouth and finally her lips. Leah’s eyes fluttered open, and a sleepy smile graced her face as she blinked up at you.
“Good morning, birthday girl,” you whispered as you sat up in bed, “Happy 28th.”
“Mmm, morning,” Leah murmured, her voice laced with sleep. She reached up, wrapping her arms around your waist and pulling you closer, her eyes still heavy with sleep. “That’s a nice way to wake up.”
You chuckled softly as she rolled onto her back. You straddled her hips. “I thought you deserved a special wake-up today. It’s not every day my beautiful wife turns 28.”
Leah’s smile widened, her hands rubbing at your hips. “Thank you, love. And it’s not every day our little boy turns one either.”
The year had flown by, filled with so many firsts, and you couldn’t help but feel a little emotional as you thought about how much had changed since Finley had come into your lives.
“Please don’t remind me,” you sighed, tipping your head back dramatically, “I can’t believe our baby boy is one. Where has it gone?”
Leah nodded, “I know, he’s gotten so big. He’s a proper little human now!” Leah’s fingers gently traced patterns on your hips as she looked up at you, her expression softening. “How did I get so lucky?”
You leaned down to kiss her once more, this time it was a slow, lingering kiss, one that spoke of all the love and gratitude you felt for her. When you finally pulled back, you smiled down at her, your fingers brushing a stray strand of hair away from her face.
“I’m the lucky one,” you whispered. “A perfect wife and a perfect baby boy.”
You laid down on Leah’s chest, resting your head on her shoulder as she rubbed patterns on your back underneath your (her) shirt.
The peace didn’t last long. Just as you were beginning to lose yourself in Leah’s touch, you heard soft, familiar babbles coming from the baby monitor on the nightstand. Finley’s little babbles, sleepy and full of curiosity, drifted through the speaker, signalling that your little boy was awake and ready to start his day.
Leah chuckled, “Looks like the birthday boy is up.”
“I’ll go get him,” you offered, but Leah shook her head, already swinging her legs over the side of the bed as you rolled off of her.
“No, let’s get him together,” she said with a smile. “I want to see his little face.”
You smiled and nodded as Leah slipped on a hoodie. You followed her, pulling one of Leah’s old hoodies over your head as the two of you made your way to Finley’s nursery.
As you reached the nursery door, Leah paused, turning back to you with a soft smile before quietly pushing it open. Inside, Finley was standing in his crib, gripping the bars with his tiny hands, his wide blue eyes blinking up at you both. His blonde curls were slightly crazy from sleep, and his cheeks were rosy with the warmth of the room.
The moment he saw the two of you, his face broke into a wide, toothy grin, and he let out an excited squeal, bouncing on his little legs. Leah couldn’t help but laugh, the sound filling the small room as she leaned over to scoop him up into her arms.
"Happy birthday, Bubba," she cooed, pressing a kiss to his forehead as she held him close. You stood beside her, reaching out to run your fingers gently through his curls.
“Look at you,” you whispered, your voice thick with emotion. “One-year-old today. How did we get here so fast?” you cooed as you placed a kiss on his cheek.
Finley giggled in response, his tiny hands reaching out to grab and pat Leah’s cheeks before turning his attention to you, his little fingers stretching towards your nose before grabbing it. You leaned in, pressing another kiss to his chubby cheek before taking him from Leah’s arms and cradling him against your chest.
Leah stood beside you, her arm wrapping around your waist as the three of you swayed gently, a little family moment that felt perfect in its simplicity. You breathed in the familiar scent of your baby, feeling his warmth against you as Leah pressed a kiss to your temple.
“What do you think, birthday boy?” Leah asked softly. “Ready for some cake later?”
Finley babbled in response, clearly unaware of the significance of the day but happy to be wrapped in the love of his two moms like usual. His little hands patted your chest, and you couldn’t help but laugh softly, the sound catching in your throat as emotion welled up inside you.
“I can’t wait to celebrate him and you,” you smiled.
“It’s going to be fun,” Leah smiled, “Shall we head back to our bed and get our presents, Bubba?” Leah cooed, tickling Finley’s stomach.
Finley let out a delighted squeal at Leah’s tickling, his tiny legs kicking excitedly as you both laughed at his joy. His laughter was infectious.
"Let's go, birthday boy," you said, bouncing him gently in your arms as the three of you made your way back to your bedroom.
As you stepped back into the bedroom, you placed Finley down in the middle of the bed, watching as he wobbled slightly on his legs before plopping down on his bum with a giggle. His wide blue eyes darted around the room with curiosity, his hands grabbing at the soft duvet as he babbled happily.
Leah climbed onto the bed beside him, pulling out two bags full of gifts for Finley. "Look what we’ve got for you, Bubba," she said in a sing-song voice, holding a small gift just out of his reach, playfully teasing him. His eyes locked onto the colourful package, his tiny hands immediately reaching for it with excitement.
You sat down beside them, watching as Leah handed the present over to him. His chubby fingers fumbled with the wrapping paper, tearing at it slowly, completely absorbed in the process. You and Leah exchanged amused glances, laughing softly as you watched him try to figure it out.
“Need some help, buddy?” Leah asked, leaning in to give him a hand. Together, you helped him pull the paper away, revealing a small, plush toy in the shape of a baby elephant. Finley's face lit up, and he immediately grabbed the toy, squealing.
"Looks like it’s a hit," you grinned, watching him chew the elephant’s ear.
Leah reached over to brush her fingers through his messy curls. "I think he likes it," she said softly, her voice full of affection.
You leaned against Leah’s shoulder, watching your son play with his new toy. Leah quickly pulled away as he tried to crawl toward the edge of the bed. She quickly scooped him up before he could make it too far.
“Not so fast, buddy!” Leah smiled, setting him back down on the bed, “You’ve still got a few more presents.”
Finley sat back down on the bed, his little legs bouncing with excitement as Leah handed him another brightly wrapped gift. His tiny hands eagerly grabbed at the paper, babbling to himself as he tore at the edges with a bit more help from Leah. You watched as she ripped the wrapping away to reveal a wooden stacking toy, the colourful rings immediately catching his attention.
“Oh, look at that, Finley,” you said, your voice filled with excitement to match his, “You can stack all the rings!”
Leah laughed softly, as you both watched Finley pick up one of the rings and attempt to fit it onto the post. His concentration was fierce, his brow furrowed in the same adorable way Leah’s did when she was focused. It made you smile even more, seeing these little traits of hers in him.
“I think we might have a little genius on our hands,” Leah teased, pressing a kiss to your temple.
“He gets that from me, obviously,” you joked, nudging her playfully as you rolled your eyes.
Finley managed to get one of the rings on the post, letting out a delighted squeal that made both you and Leah cheer softly for him. His grin was infectious, his wide eyes looking back and forth between the two of you as if he knew he had accomplished something big.
You handed him the next ring, and he clumsily placed it on the post, Leah clapped for him, her face lighting up with pride. “Good job, Finley! You’re doing so great.”
After opening the rest of Finley’s presents you got up off the bed and grabbed Leah’s out of the bottom of your wardrobe. You gasped as Finley’s face lit up, “Shall we give Mumma her presents, bubs?”
You placed the presents on the bed beside Leah, who had now settled comfortably with Finley on her lap. “Are you ready for your presents, love?” you asked Leah.
“Yeah, I am!” Leah replied, her voice filled with enthusiasm.
You handed Leah the bag of gifts, she picked out a box and carefully tore away the wrapping paper with Finley’s tiny hands gripping at the edges, helping to reveal the gift inside. It was a delicate silver necklace with a small heart-shaped locket—a piece you knew Leah had admired for a while.
“Oh, this is beautiful,” Leah breathed, her eyes misting with tears as she opened the locket to reveal tiny photos of Finley and you inside. She looked up at you, her voice catching. “Thank you so much. It’s perfect.”
You smiled, reaching out to wipe away a tear from her cheek. “I’m glad you love it. You deserve something special.”
Leah gave you a warm smile, her heart full as she leaned in to give you a heartfelt kiss. Finley, sensing the affection, wiggled excitedly in Leah’s lap, reaching out to touch the necklace with curious fingers.
“Let’s see what else is in the bag,” Leah said, gently pulling out another gift.
The next gift was a beautiful photo book filled with pictures of the past year. Each page was a snapshot of your family’s milestones and everyday moments, capturing the joy and love that had filled the past year.
Leah’s eyes widened as she flipped through the pages, a smile spreading across her face. “Oh my god, this is amazing,” she said softly. “I can’t believe you put this together.”
“I wanted to make sure we had a special keepsake of all our memories,” you explained, leaning closer.
Leah looked at you with deep affection, her voice barely above a whisper. “Thank you. This means more to me than you know.”
Finley, now reaching for the book, babbled happily, clearly intrigued by the colourful photos. Leah let him explore, his little fingers touching the pages as he giggled.
You spent a little while longer in bed, opening Leah’s presents, before making your way into the kitchen. You set Finley down in his highchair and gave him one of his tether toys to keep him entertained.
Leah’s hand slipped under your shirt as you cut up some fruit for Finley, she placed soft kisses on your shoulder before following you around the kitchen as you made some pancakes.
The smell of pancakes soon filled the kitchen. As you flipped the pancakes, Leah busied herself setting the table and preparing a few toppings—fresh fruit, maple syrup, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Finley watched intently from his highchair, his curious eyes tracking every movement you made.
Leah glanced over at you, her expression one of contentment. “These look amazing,” she said, placing a small bowl of berries in front of Finley.
Once the pancakes were ready, you served a stack onto each plate, setting them down at the table. Leah moved Finley and his highchair over to the table while you cut his pancakes into small, manageable pieces. He eagerly grabbed at the food, his tiny fingers smeared with syrup and fruit.
As the morning continued, the three of you enjoyed your breakfast together, the conversation flowing easily between bites of food and laughter. Finley’s giggles and cheerful squeals added to the mix.
After breakfast and a bit of playtime, it was time for Finley's first nap of the day. You and Leah carefully cleaned up, making sure the kitchen was tidy before heading to the nursery. His little eyes were already drooping as you balanced him on your hip.
You sat down in the rocking chair, Leah crouched beside you as she read him a book, and before you knew it he was fast asleep in your arms.
You gently placed him into his crib, Leah adjusting his blanket as you turned his sound machine on. Finley’s soft breaths soon filled the room, you and Leah quietly stood by, watching him drift off to sleep.
With Finley asleep and the morning behind you, you and Leah had some time to yourselves. You worked together to set up the final decorations and get the cake ready for Finley and Leah’s party. Once everything was prepared and ready you and Leah started to get dressed for the day.
It wasn’t long before you were both ready for the day and Leah’s family soon arrived. You opened the door to see Amanda with her arms already outstretched, ready to greet you both. David, Leah’s dad, followed closely behind with a warm smile, and Jacob was carrying all the presents.
“Happy birthday, sweetheart!” Amanda beamed, immediately pulling Leah into a hug. “How are you both?”
“Thanks, Mum,” Leah smiled as she took her bag of presents from her Mum. “Just can’t believe he’s one already.”
“We’re both emotional but we’re good,” you smiled. “Come in! We’ve got everything set up.”
“Where’s Finley?” Jacob asked, glancing around as he set the presents down.
“Oh well hello to you too Jacob, thank you, Jacob,” Leah sarcastically said.
You laughed at the sibling banter, shaking your head, “He’s napping, he should be awake soon though.”
Just as you finished your sentence tiny babbles came through the baby monitor, “That’s him awake, I’ll go get him.” You told Leah.
“Good timing,” Amanda grinned, “The birthday boy knows he’s going to get spoilt like usual!”
You slipped away to grab Finley from his crib, leaving Leah to chat with her parents. Moments later, you reappeared, holding a sleepy but smiling Finley, his blonde curls slightly flattened from his nap. The second he spotted Amanda and David, his face lit up in recognition, his little arms waving excitedly.
“Oh, there’s our birthday boy!” Amanda cooed, stepping forward to take him into her arms. Finley giggled, his tiny hands grabbing at her necklace. “You’ve gotten so big, haven’t you?”
David leaned over to give Finley’s hand a soft squeeze. “Look at this guy, already a year old. Time flies,” he said.
Amanda set Finley down on the floor who immediately crawled over to the stack of presents and sat on the floor beside Jacob.
Jacob chuckled as Finley grabbed at the brightly wrapped gifts, his chubby hands tugging at the paper with enthusiasm. "Looks like someone knows what's coming," Jacob said, giving Leah a wink.
Leah sat beside Jacob on the floor who was helping Finley tear into the paper as he sat on his lap. He squealed when he finally unwrapped the gift—a soft, plush lion with a crinkly mane and ears. Finley immediately grabbed it, squeezing it in his tiny hands as it made a satisfying crinkle sound, another squeal leaving his body.
“He loves it!” you laughed, watching the way Finley stared at his new toy.
With Finley happily occupied with his new toy, the rest of the presents were quickly unwrapped by Leah and Jacob. There were clothes, books, and toys, each one met with a tiny bit of interest before Finley went back to his lion. Once Finley had opened his present, Leah opened her before the chaos of the party began.
Just as you were clearing up the wrapping paper with Amanda, the doorbell rang. “I’ll get it!” Leah shouted from the hallway before opening the door.
A few moments later, Leah walked into the living room with Beth, Viv, Kim and Vic following close behind her. Each of them held a tiny bag that contained their gift.
“Happy birthday, Le.” Beth smiled as she hugged Leah, “I can’t believe Finn’s already one!”
Leah grinned as she hugged Beth back. "I know, right? It feels like just yesterday he was a newborn."
Beth, Viv, Kim, and Vic greeted you and Finley, who was now happily playing on the floor with his new lion. Each of them knelt down, taking turns cooing over the birthday boy. Finley’s eyes lit up with excitement, his tiny fingers tugging at the clothes and toys they brought.
“Happy birthday to the little man,” Kim said with a warm smile, handing over her gift. “And happy birthday to you too, Leah.”
Leah laughed as she accepted the gift bags. “Thank you! I’m feeling the love today.”
As the party began to pick up, Leah’s teammates mingled with her family, all of them taking turns playing with Finley and catching up with you both. The garden was decorated with bunting, balloons, and a special banner that read, “Happy 1st Birthday, Finley!” The sun was shining, and it felt like the perfect spring day.
Leah’s dad and Jacob were busy setting up the barbecue while Amanda helped you arrange the food on a long picnic table. As you placed down platters of snacks, Leah came up behind you, wrapping her arms around your waist and pressing a kiss to the back of your neck.
“Everything looks amazing,” she whispered.
You turned to face her, a soft smile on your lips. “Only the best for my two favourite people.
Leah kissed you gently before Beth came over, holding Finley, who was now wearing a tiny party hat. "Look at this little guy!" Beth laughed, holding him up for Leah to see.
Leah grinned and reached out to take Finley, balancing him on her hip. "He’s ready for his party, aren’t you, Bubba?"
Finley babbled in response, grabbing at Leah’s hat, and making everyone laugh.
The afternoon was filled with laughter, food, and playful banter. Leah's teammates took turns kicking a ball around the garden, playfully showing off for Finley, who watched them with wide eyes. Leah’s family chatted with everyone, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy that made the day feel extra special.
As the sun began to lower in the sky, it was time for the cake. You brought out a small cake just for Finley—a simple vanilla sponge with a tiny candle. The main cake for Leah and the guests was a larger, elaborate one, decorated in her favourite colours with a hint of Arsenal’s red and white.
Leah sat down with Finley in her lap as everyone gathered around, singing “Happy Birthday” to the two of them. Finley’s wide eyes locked onto the flickering candle as everyone finished singing, and with Leah’s help, he blew it out, earning a round of applause.
“Happy birthday, my loves,” you said softly, smiling at the sight of Leah and Finley together.
Leah kissed Finley’s cheek, then looked up at you with a loving smile. “I couldn’t ask for a better birthday.”
Finley giggled as Leah helped him stick his fingers into his cake, his chubby hands quickly covered in frosting as everyone laughed and cheered him on. The day was filled with love, and as the party continued into the evening, you couldn’t help but feel grateful for the beautiful family and life you had built together.
Leah grinned, shaking her head in disbelief as she hugged Beth back. “I know, it’s crazy! Feels like just yesterday he was born and you were visiting us in the hospital while Y/N was in labour.”
Kim stepped forward next, giving Leah a gentle hug and handing her a small gift bag. “Happy birthday! Can’t wait to spoil the little man today too.”
“Thanks, Kimmy,” Leah smiled, taking the gift and placing it on the side table with the others.
Viv and Vic joined in the hugs, each of them cooing over Finley, who was still thoroughly engrossed in his new lion toy. Viv leaned down, gently ruffling his blonde curls, “Happy birthday, little man. Look at you, so big now!”
“He’s definitely growing up fast,” you chimed in, walking over to join them. “We barely blinked, and here we are, celebrating his first birthday.”
Leah’s other teammates—Steph, Lia, Lotte, Kyra, Katie, and Caitlin—arrived shortly after, all bringing smiles, laughter, and gifts with them. Each of them greeted Leah with a hug and fussed over Finley. It wasn’t long before the living room was buzzing with energy, Leah’s cousins Holly and Jordan arrived with Henry and Leah’s grandma, Berny.
Leah wrapped her arms around you from behind as you set up the sandwiches with Amanda, “This is perfect, I’m so proud of you for setting this all up.”
You turned your head to place a kiss on her cheek, “Anything for my favourite people.”
As the party moved into the garden, where the sun was shining brightly, the decorations you and Leah had set up earlier shimmered in the light. A large banner that read “Happy Birthday, Leah and Finley!" hung proudly across the patio, with balloons, and a beautifully decorated cake sitting on the table.
“Sorry I’m late, blame London traffic.” Keira said as she entered the garden, “But I come bearing gifts!”
Leah laughed, “You’re always late, but I’ll forgive you since you brought presents.”
Keira shook her head as she rolled her eyes playfully, walking over to set the gifts down on the table. “Happy birthday to the best boy,” she cooed, tickling Finley’s stomach who was now resting on Amanda’s hip. “And happy birthday to my best mate too, I guess.”
With everyone settled in the garden, drinks were poured, snacks were passed around, and the laughter flowed freely. As the day rolled on, the time for cake finally arrived.
“Alright time for the cake, gather round!” Leah announced to everyone as you set Finley down in his highchair.
Once everyone was gathered around Finley and Leah, Amanda came out carrying a cake with the candles lit. Finley’s eyes widened at the sight of the flickering candle, his hands reaching out toward it which Leah quickly pulled back.
Happy Birthday rang out around the garden, everyone smiling as Finley looked around in confusion. He looked at you and Leah with a confused look before looking back at the cake.
“Blow the candles out, Finn!” You encouraged him as everyone finished singing.
Leah gently blew the candles out, smiling as she clapped her hands. “Happy birthday, Bubba,” Leah whispered, pressing a kiss to his cheek as the room erupted into applause. “No one else I’d rather share the day with”
You cut Finley a small piece of cake, watching as his tiny fingers grabbed at it hesitantly before shoving it into his mouth. The room was filled with laughter as he smeared frosting across his face, clearly enjoying his first taste of birthday cake.
As the evening drew to a close, the guests slowly started to leave, offering their goodbyes and final birthday wishes to Leah and Finley. The house became quiet once more, and you and Leah, both tired but happy, tucked Finley into bed. You stood by the crib, watching as his little chest rose and fell with each peaceful breath, your heart full.
Back in the bedroom, Leah pulled you into a hug, holding you close. "Thank you for today," she whispered. "It was perfect."
You smiled, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. "It's all for you, birthday girl. I love you."
"I love you more," Leah murmured against your lips, her hands resting on your hips. “More than you’ll ever know, pretty girl.”

how bf dino comforts you after a long day when you're emotionally exhausted. i'd say i'm sorry dinonaras but if i needed this then so do you, probably.
chan figures it's a bad day when you don't pause to greet him as you come in the door. the silence is his first clue, but sometimes you just like peace and quiet. the way your fingers press at your temples as you slip out of your shoes and hang up your jacket is the next indicator that tips him off to something being wrong today. when you barely slow down, only leaning down press a kiss to his forehead as you shuffle along to your shared bedroom though, that's when he really knows.
you practically blow right past the living room, where he sits waiting for you on the sofa, and despite your slow pace he feels like a leaf caught in the wind. spinning endlessly as his brain glitches for a minute. you almost never come home, or leave the apartment, without a hello or goodbye. even if it's quick or quiet. rushed, gasped out between giggles, half-asleep and rasped out groggily between sips of coffee. the delivery doesn't matter, not really, just that it happens.
when you come back out your hair is mussed and you're wearing one of his hoodies. your favourite dark green one. he always thinks it makes you look extra adorable with the way it practically swallows you whole, hands consumed by sweater paws as you swing your arms absentmindedly while you shuffle your way towards the kitchen. he can read the exhaustion in your expression as you flash him a soft smile and he doesn't miss the opportunity to pull you into his arms. you melt into the embrace, sigh swallowed by his t-shirt as you bury your face against his chest and soak in the comfort.
for a minute he just holds you and you both stay like that. warm hand smoothing up and down your back as you close your eyes and take in his fresh, woodsy scent. you press a kiss to one shoulder as you finally pull away and his clings to you from behind as you put the kettle on, reaching up to get your favourite tea down from the cupboard for you. his cheek rests on the top of your head as you wait for the water to boil, body swaying with you just a little when you rest your hands over his arms as they stay wrapped around your waist. the soft hum of his voice soothes you enough to lean back into his strong chest, trusting him to hold you steady the way he always has. chan never lets you fall. not alone at least. he isn't about to start now, and you both know this.
somehow you end up in his lap on the sofa, face nuzzled into the crook of his neck as he rubs a thumb in soothing motions on your hip. you breathe in the scent of sweat and dino, relaxing against his warm solid body. this is safe. this is familiar. this is home. your thumb strokes slowly over the soft skin where it rests against the side of his neck, your other wrist resting limply on his shoulder. the sleeves of his sweater hang long over the tips of your fingers and his breath ghosts over your forehead where his cheek brushes against your hair and the top of the hood tugged up over your head. you could fall asleep right here, just like this. especially when his other hand comes to rest on your exposed thigh, the warmth seeping from his palm into your skin and right up to your heart.
you know that isn't, practically, how it works but his love is palpable in the gentle touch and how it feels is, in this moment at least, more valuable to you. the hand on his neck snakes up to his nape, fingers playing with the ends of the soft icy blonde strands of hair resting there. you time your breaths to his heartbeat, listening to the soft nothings he whispers and the running commentary about his day he keeps feeding you until you finally snap back into being present.
he smiles and blows out a breath when you blink up at him slowly. "there you are gorgeous."
when you meet his gaze his eyes are soft, small smile spreading when you sigh in relief and nuzzle yourself closer against his chest. "hi."
his voice is quiet as he asks if you're okay now, if you're feeling better. you reply yes in the same tone and he tucks your head under his chin as he folds you into a cuddle and drapes the throw blanket from the back of the couch over both of you. you can’t help but press a kiss to one collarbone, making him squirm a little, and smile at how lucky you are to have such an understanding partner. the way he blushes and starts stumbling over his words only endears you further, making you smile wider until eventually he gives up trying to say anything coherent at all and just shoves your head onto his shoulder as he adjusts you both until you're laying practically draped on top of him.
you just blink at his pouting and he insists that it's time for a movie, kiki's delivery service because it's your favourite of course, and somehow manages to fall asleep halfway through. this man loves ghibli convince me otherwise. you won't. eventually you join him, the weight and warmth of the arm around your waist holding you snugly against him lulling you into dreamland, only waking up when you need to pee.
it must be late now. it's dark in the room, sun long set and lights from the city glinting in the windows as you wriggle your way out of your boyfriend's grasp oh so carefully. when you finally manage to extricate yourself you pause to admire him for a minute, smiling to yourself as you brush the sweep of bangs out of his face. you can’t resist leaning in to press a kiss to his forehead, just one soft one, before you get up. you don't get far before a hand curls around your wrist, tugging you gently back against a firm chest you'd know the feeling of in your sleep.
when you glance back over your shoulder his gaze is half-lidded, disgruntled expression on his sleepy face. you can’t help the fond smile that tugs at your lips as he whines and nuzzles his face against the back of your neck, head ducking as he folds himself around you.
"babyyy..."
"yes, channie darling?"
"where are you going?"
you don't have it in you to waste time arguing with him about why he doesn't have to walk you to the bathroom so instead you just let him cling to you as you shuffle along down the hallway. you really have to pee and it takes all the restraint you have to hold back for the five minutes it takes to convince him to stand outside the bathroom door and wait for you. 'why can't i come in with you? it's not like i haven't seen you naked before. babyyy.' because what do you mean you need privacy to go pee in peace when he's literally right there with you already? and he's your boyfriend. personal space is shared space between you, when it comes to chan at least.
when you come back out finally his arms are crossed over his chest and he pouts all the way back to the living room until you climb back into his arms and smother his face in soft little kisses with a promise to take him with you next time. he eventually relents when you cuddle into his side and ask if you can make some late night hot chocolate together. he can't stay upset with you for long when you look at him like he hung the moon for you every time he meets your eyes and he'll never say no to an excuse to do something with you, even if it's just something as simple as dancing through the kitchen at 2am taking way too long to make two cups of cocoa because every time he dips or spins you you both burst out laughing.
he doesn't mind. not when you smile up at him with stars in your eyes again. when your cheeks flush pink as he leans in to rest his forehead against yours and you murmur his name like a prayer between stolen kisses while you wait for the hot chocolate to cool enough not to burn your tongues on the first sip. needless to say you fall asleep, head lolled onto his shoulder and side pressed to his, not even ten minutes into the next movie. you don't feel the kiss he presses to your forehead as he carries you to bed, or the brush of his fingers over your cheek as he tucks you in, but the warmth of the love in both gestures lingers.
you feel it in the way his hold tightens for just a second, the soft sound he makes as you roll onto your other side to face him when you wake in the morning. the way he nuzzles his nose against yours, eyes still closed, and mumbles good morning as you press kiss after kiss over his face until he groans and rolls over to smother you, only slightly because he's always oh so careful not to actually crush you, until you giggle and promise you're finished for the day.
your dirty mugs from last night are a problem for later today. your lovely sweet boyfriend deserves at least a few hours of cuddles and a nice homemade breakfast in bed first.

can you write mu qing being nursed back to health against his wishes please. he would never admit it even if it meant dying (cough.. mt tonglu lava scene.. cough) so it's what he deserves
anon didnt specify for ships, so i did what any normal person would do. four of them. whether its platonic or romantic is totally up to you!
"Let. Me," Mu Qing struggles against Xie Lian's vice-like grip with gritted teeth "go." He swings his fist to land a blow on his friend's jaw in an attempt to break free, but his punch is deterred by yet another nuisance.
“Feng Xin,” Mu Qing hisses, vision still blurry. If it weren't for Xie Lian’s hold on him, Mu Qing would have shamefully collapsed head-first into the dirt.
“Mu Qing,” he hears Xie Lian say softly, “you just need some rest.”
“You don't get to strangle me!” Mu Qing retaliates, kicking and screaming like a child.
From beside him, he hears Feng Xin click his tongue. “We’re not fucking strangling you. And if you weren't so fucking difficult–”
“Just leave me alone!” Mu Qing finally manages to shove them both away. Are his eyes playing tricks on him again or is he swaying on his feet? “Why can't you just… let me be?” he catches himself asking before tumbling to the ground.
“Bloody rascal, how on earth did this happen?”
“I think they used a spell to weaken his body. His spiritual powers are still depleted–if might take a while for it to rise up again on it’s own, San Lang.”
“Then, what does gege suggest we do?”
Mu Qing winces when something wet presses against his abdomen. His eyes flutter open, yet all he sees is solid darkness.
“He’s waking up!” he hears Feng Xin say. “Mu Qing, can you hear me.”
Of course I can hear your, oaf, is what Mu Qing tries to say, but his voice catches at his throat.
A cold palm presses against his forehead and Mu Qing wants nothing more than to slap it off.
“He’s burning up.” Hua Cheng. The hand moves further down his face, fingertips brushing against his eyelids. There’s a brief moment of utter vulnerability, as if Mu Qing is giving up his soul for another. But then his vision clears, and he sees three very different expressions on familiar faces.
Xie Lian’s temple is creased, his mouth downturned as he stares at Mu Qing’s face. And upon glancing down, he sees Xie Lian’s hand squeezing his own. A face of unhidden concern; pity. Something dark brews inside as he processes that–being a damsel in distress, the General of the Southwest. Ridiculous.
Feng Xin is kneeling on the mat beside him, a damp cloth in his hand. His thick brows are furrowed as he scowls at Mu Qing. Strands of brunette hair fall over his face, his usually somewhat-neat bun now undone. He looks tired, annoyed. At Mu Qing. For what, wasting his time? For being so infirm and demanding attention? Nobody asked him to take care of Mu Qing, that imbecile.
And then there's the beast of a man, Hua Cheng. Hands folded across his chest, he looks as nonchalant as ever. His eyes sear into Mu Qing, bored and degrading.
Mu Qing feels the headache he had woken up with aggravate.
“Why am I being gawked at like some pathetic critter?” It comes out coarse and rough, his throat still aching and sore.
“Pathetic, indeed,” Hua Cheng sneers.
A knot tightens in his gut, the humiliation finally settling in. Gathering the strength to do so, Mu Qing lifts himself so his elbows support his weight. A sharp pain surges through him and both Xie Lian and Feng Xin scramble to grasp his arms, preventing the demeaning fall.
“Careful, Mu Qing,” Xie Lian chides. His fingers dig into Mu Qing’s skin–wait, where are his clothes?!
As if reading his mind, Feng Xin says, “Your clothes are ruined. Covered in fucking blood. We took it off so we could dress your wounds. Which are fucking bad, by the way.”
“Fuck you guys, that doesn't mean you can strip me of my robes. I’m not a doll.”
He feels Xie Lian’s hold on him weaken, a flicker of hurt passing through his eyes–did Mu Qing go too far?
“I don't mean–I… that's not. What I. You know. I’m–”
The bed dips on his right, and Mu Qing trails off. From his peripheral vision, he sees Hua Cheng taking off his own upper robe.
“If you're so uncomfortable,” he says casually, “you can put this on, general.” The ghost king drapes his red upper robe over Mu Qing’s shoulder, and his touch is so gentle, so tender, Mu Qing actually trembles.
“Cold?” he asks, right into Mu Qing’s ear. Mu Qing’s head tips forward to bypass Hua Cheng’s warm–how is it warm when he’s dead–breath. When he glances up, he locks eyes with Xie Lian, who pouts with his eyes wide like a deer’s.
“We’re not strangers.” his palms cup Mu Qing’s cheeks, and he finds himself leaning towards the touch. “We’re your friends.”
“Yeah, jackass. Stop pushing us away with every inch of your fucking life. It’s fucking annoying,” Feng Xin just has to add.
Mu Qing turns his head to glare, but Feng Xin smiles like a maniac instead of glaring right back. It’s fond and adoring and completely unlike him.
Hua Cheng scoffs from beside him. “It’s really not that hard to let yourself be spoiled, just for a little bit. You're too hard on yourself, Xuan Zhen.”
“Fucking hate to agree with Hua Cheng,” he hears Feng Xin mutter.
“Ugh…” Mu Qing hides his face with his hands, embarrassed. He’s sure he looks nothing less than a tomato.
Xie Lian’s chuckle fills the air and Mu Qing thinks that maybe this isn't so bad.
This is nice.
He might not want this again, or he definitely will want this again.

The Times That He Carried Her
Ch 1| PG | Before IWTB | hurt/comfort | A03
Summary: Scully doesn’t want to face the outside world on a frosty Fall morning, luckily Mulder is there to help her get to work.
tagging: @today-in-fic
The morning felt subdued by the cold; a thick layer of frost covered the outside world. The chill ached Mulder’s fingers as he scraped the ice off Scully’s car window with the neon green scraper they picked up almost a decade ago and had served them well. The ice came off the windshield easily, and Mulder wondered if they had enough time to clear out the pole barn for Scully to park in before the weather really turned. Starting Scully’s car in park, Mulder cranked up the heater so the car would be nice and warm for her morning commute. Scully had never asked him to de-ice or warm up her car, and he knew she was more than capable of doing it herself, but he’d been doing it for so many years it would be harder to break the habit than to de-ice her car on cold mornings.
Walking back into their house with a shudder, Mulder smiled as Scully wordlessly handed him her mug of coffee to warm his hands. Taking a sip, Mulder carefully took in Scully’s posture as she nibbled on a corner of her toast and became concerned by what her demeanor. A fleece blanket was draped like a cape over her shoulders, covering her pants suit, and there was an involuntary wince as she despondently ate small bites of her toast and stared at her plate. Placing her coffee back in front of her, Mulder lovingly swept some strands of hair off her forehead, giving a soft smile when she finally looked up at him.
“Are you feeling alright Scully, you’ve barely touched your breakfast.”
“I’m okay, just a little sore and achy this morning.”
Mulder’s mind flashed back to the night before, their love making had been much rougher than normal and Mulder took advantage of Scully’s voracious appetite to extend the session much longer than week night sex normally allowed.
As Mulder looked over at Scully’s impossibly tiny body hunched in pain, he was filled with concern and regret.
“Was I too rough last night, are you hurt?”
Scully gave a snort at Mulder’s angst, amused by his belief that he was the cause of her discomfort.
“No Mulder, I just got my period this morning and I’m feeling bloated and crampy.”
Mulder nodded, rubbing her back with his hand, holding back from saying that he ‘tapped the ketchup bottle too hard.’
Despite not uttering the words aloud, Scully slapped Mulder, apparently able to hear him think his inappropriate comments.
“Why don’t you call in sick today? You can go back to bed, or we can cuddle on the couch and watch Rosemary’s Baby.”
Scully gave a grim smile at Mulder’s movie choice, the man was ridiculous and she begrudgingly loved it. With a heavy sigh Scully realized that she’d have to leave the warm comfort of the house and pretend to be a functional adult today. With an extra big pout she explained, “I can’t, one of my out of state patients is scheduled to see me. I’ll be fine, I just don’t want to go out into the cold yet.”
Finishing the last of her coffee, Mulder watched Scully’s look of sadness as she prepared to take off her blanket and brace herself for the chill of the outside world. Leaning in close to kiss her on the cheek, Mulder clenched the blanket around Scully and whispered in her ear, “do you want me to carry you to the car?”
A small nod against his chest was her answer, and Mulder bent down so she could wrap her arms around his neck while he cradled her legs in his arms. Careful to keep the fleece blanket in place, Mulder smiled as Scully buried her face into his chest as they made their way outside.
Scully managed to get the car door to open a crack and Mulder used his hip to swing it open wider so he could deposit her in the driver's seat.
Scully smiled as Mulder opened her passenger’s door and let himself in. The car was toasty warm and she was grateful for the few extra minutes with him before she had to head to work. The weight of Mulder’s hand on hers as it rested on the gearshift brought tears to her eyes and slowly she began to unravel as the car approached the big security gate.
Putting the car back in to park, Scully let the car idle as she wiped back her tears. Mulder remained silent as Scully tried to gather herself, knowing that it was time to listen.
“I was late,” Scully croaked, willing Mulder to catch her meaning.
“It wasn’t by much, 6 weeks, but I was going to take a test today. Now I don’t have to.”
Kissing her hand Mulder nodded, the brief glimpse into her pain made him marvel at her strength.
“It was stupid to get my hopes up. I feel like I already got my miracle and I gave him away, now we’ll never be parents.”
“Hey, stop that, we are parents.”
The sternness in Mulder’s voice stopped Scully mid-sob.
“Our son is alive because of you Dana. You gave that to him- the chance at a safe and normal life. You are an amazing mother, you live with this pain to protect him.”
Scully nodded as the tears ran down her face. Wordlessly, Mulder shifted his body and Scully immediately buried her face in his shoulder, relishing the comfort of a Mulder hug.
Kissing Scully on the crown of the head and squeezing her tighter, Mulder wondered how he was ever going to let her go so she could actually drive to work.
“You know Scully, we don’t know for sure how you got pregnant last time, but I’m pretty certain we improved the odds with the sheer frequency that we were having sex.”
“True,” Scully replied with a giggle that reverberated through Mulder’s chest.
“I’m just saying, we could have more sex to increase our chances again.”
“Mulder, our sex life is well above the average for couples our age. I don’t want you to get tired of me.”
Mulder tilted Scully’s chin up so she could look him in the eyes and earnestly breathed out, “never.”
Mulder sealed his vow with a kiss, their mouths moving together as Scully tried to communicate her gratitude and love for him without words.
As Scully pulled away, there was a new lightness in her demeanor and Mulder knew she was going to be alright.
Scully straightened herself up and announced to Mulder that she better leave soon or she’ll be late.
Mulder paused as he opened the car door, “see you tonight, tomato soup for dinner.”
Scully rolled her eyes and shoved him out of the car with a laugh.
“Mulder, see if you can find my copy of Carrie so we can watch it.”
Scully’s joke caught Mulder off guard, and Scully smirked with pride as he chuckled while opening the gate for her. Things were going to be okay.

The early November chill settled over Hogwarts like a thin veil, leaving the Quidditch pitch shrouded in mist. Evangeline adjusted her gloves, tightening her grip on her bat as she surveyed the field. Gryffindor and Ravenclaw had been assigned the pitch for joint practice today, the field split between the two teams, with each side running their drills in tandem. The atmosphere was charged, competitive energy buzzing in the air as the two teams zoomed through plays and formations, occasionally crossing into each other’s side of the pitch.
Evangeline’s gaze swept across the field, past where Gryffindor’s Chasers were practicing a new maneuver. In her peripheral vision, she noticed a Ravenclaw player—Lysander Clearwater—flying a bit closer than usual, his attention focused on intercepting a Quaffle. She barely had a second to react when she saw the glint of an incoming Bludger streaking directly toward him, seemingly unnoticed as he focused on his target.
Without hesitation, she shot forward, swinging her bat in a wide arc and meeting the Bludger mid-flight. The impact reverberated through her arms as she sent the ball flying off in a new direction, safely away from Lysander. He glanced up, startled, his gaze meeting hers across the field, and a smile broke across his face as he registered what had happened.
“Thanks!” he called, lifting a hand in a grateful wave before returning his focus to his drill. Evangeline smirked, nodding in acknowledgment before turning her attention back to her own teammates. The exchange left her with a small thrill of satisfaction as she continued through practice, her movements sharper and more focused.
When practice finally wound down, players from both teams began to land on the pitch, dismounting from their brooms and chatting as they headed toward the changing rooms. Evangeline had just landed, brushing a loose strand of hair from her face, when she heard footsteps approaching from behind.
Turning, she found herself face-to-face with Lysander. His face was flushed from the cold air, his blond hair wind-tousled and falling over his forehead in a way that highlighted his striking blue eyes. He wore an easygoing smile, the kind that seemed to draw people in without effort.
“Evangeline, right?” he asked, though his tone was warm with familiarity. “That was quite a save back there. I’d probably be seeing stars right now if you hadn’t intercepted that Bludger.”
She grinned, shrugging off the compliment. “It’s all part of the job. Can’t have our star players getting injured before the season even starts, can we?”
He laughed, shaking his head. “I appreciate it all the same. You’re a solid Beater—I could probably use a few pointers for defense myself.”
"Is that so? No comments about me being too small or looking out of place as a Beater?" she replied, a hint of challenge in her tone.
Lysander’s eyes widened, and he shook his head with an earnest smile. "Not at all! If anything, you’re proof that size doesn’t mean a thing when it comes to skill. You’ve got serious power behind those swings.”
Evangeline felt a rush of warmth at his words. She’d grown used to hearing all the comments—usually well-meaning, but often dismissive—about her stature. But Lysander seemed to see her as she was, not just as someone defying expectations.
“Thanks,” she said, a bit more softly. “Most people aren’t so… encouraging.”
He chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. “Well, that’s their loss, isn’t it? Anyone can see you’re as tough as they come. I’ve actually been meaning to watch more of your practices. You make it look easy out there.”
Her grin widened at the compliment, feeling a rare, unguarded confidence settle over her. “It’s not always as easy as it looks. But if you’re ever looking for a challenge, I’d be happy to show you a few defensive moves.”
“Is that an offer?” he asked, his blue eyes bright with interest.
“Only if you’re brave enough to face a Gryffindor Beater,” she teased.
“Consider me very interested,” he replied, his gaze steady and warm.
For a moment, their eyes met, and the usual chill of the evening air felt a bit warmer. Lysander’s easy demeanor and the confidence in his tone left her feeling lighter.
But before she could respond, she caught movement out of the corner of her eye—a flash of familiar dark curls and a piercing gaze that could only belong to one person.
Sebastian was watching them from across the field, his face unreadable but his stance tense, as if every muscle in his body was wound tight. His gaze flicked from her to Lysander, a shadow of something she couldn’t quite place lingering in his eyes.
She turned back to Lysander, offering him a smile in spite of the strange tension coiling in her stomach. "Well, then. Let me know when you’re ready for that challenge."
“Will do, Evangeline.” He shot her one last, lingering look before heading back to join the rest of his team.
As he walked off, she stole another glance at Sebastian. She wasn’t sure why, but something about his expression left her feeling unsettled.
"Sallow," she greeted him, folding her arms with a playful smirk. "Spying on the competition, are we?"
Sebastian didn’t smile. Instead, he held her gaze, his eyes dark and intense in a way that sent an odd shiver down her spine. "Just watching out for Gryffindor’s star Beater," he replied, his tone light but edged with something she couldn’t quite place.
"I think I can take care of myself," Evangeline chuckled, "Were you here when I intercepted that bludger?"
“Yeah, I saw,” he replied, his voice tight. His gaze shifted in the direction Lysander had gone, a flicker of something like irritation crossing his face. "Didn’t think you’d be sharing Beater tips with the competition, though.”
She laughed, shaking her head. “He was just thanking me for stopping him from getting hit. I’d say that’s just basic Quidditch etiquette, wouldn’t you?”
Sebastian shrugged, crossing his arms. "Sure."
Evangeline raised an eyebrow at Sebastian’s short reply, feeling an odd mixture of curiosity and amusement at his strange behavior. He was usually the first to jump in with teasing or witty remarks, but today there was something off, a hint of something guarded in his tone. She shook it off, figuring he was just having an off day, and instead gave him a small nudge.
“Anyway, enough about me playing nice with the Ravenclaws,” she said with a grin. “Are you ready to grab something to eat? I’m absolutely starving.”
That did the trick—his expression softened immediately, and the hint of tension in his stance melted as a mischievous glint returned to his eyes. “Always ready to eat,” he replied, offering her a lopsided smile. “Besides, I think you owe me for keeping me waiting out here in the cold.”
Evangeline rolled her eyes, playfully nudging him again as they turned and began walking back toward the castle. The chill in the air had settled deep into her muscles, and she relished the thought of the warm Great Hall and the promise of a hearty meal.
As they made their through the castle, the chatter of students filled the corridors, and they fell into an easy rhythm, trading jabs and comments about practice, the lingering shadows of Sebastian's odd behaviour seemingly forgotten—at least for the moment.
But as they took their seats in the bustling Great Hall, Sebastian’s gaze drifted across the room, and she noticed his eyes linger on a group of Hufflepuff girls who seemed to have been watching him since they walked in. One of them smiled and whispered to her friend, who laughed as they both looked in Sebastian’s direction.
Evangeline raised an eyebrow, feeling a strange twist in her chest. She forced herself to focus on her plate, telling herself it didn’t matter. Sebastian was just a friend, and he was free to entertain any attention he wanted.
At least, that's what she kept telling herself.
But no matter how many times she told herself that, the twist in her chest didn’t ease, so she distracted herself by spooning mashed potatoes onto her plate with more force than necessary. Next to her, Sebastian raised an eyebrow, amusement flickering across his face as he noticed her rather aggressive serving.
“Blimey, Evie,” he teased, nudging her. “Those potatoes have done nothing to deserve your wrath.”
She forced a laugh, shrugging. “Just building up my strength for Gryffindor’s next match. You wouldn’t understand, Slytherin.”
He laughed, though he seemed only half-invested, his gaze flicking back to the other table. She gritted her teeth, unable to keep the bite of irritation from her tone.
“See something interesting over there?” she asked, feigning nonchalance as she took a sip of pumpkin juice.
Sebastian gave her an innocent look, though his eyes held a glimmer of mischief. “Just… observing. You know, studying the social dynamics of our dear classmates.”
Evangeline tried to brush off his nonchalant answer, but the glint of mischief in his eyes was unmistakable. Since the start of term, it seemed like Sebastian had become something of a sensation among the female students. Sure, he’d always been popular—Sebastian was the type of person who could charm his way out of nearly any situation, his effortless confidence and easy smile making him the center of attention wherever he went. But this year, it had escalated. It was as if half the girls at Hogwarts had woken up and suddenly realized just how… intriguing Sebastian Sallow really was.
She’d had more than a few girls approach her in recent weeks, questions tinged with curiosity and, sometimes, just a hint of jealousy. They’d ask her about him, insisting that, as his best friend, she surely knew him better than anyone. And she supposed they were right. But every time a girl approached her with a subtle—or, more often, blatant—query about his “type” or his “favourite place to go in Hogsmeade,” Evangeline had to fight back the urge to roll her eyes. She couldn’t really blame them, though. Sebastian was… well, undeniably attractive.
There was something in the way he carried himself, that unshakeable confidence tempered with a mischievous glint that made him seem like he was always two steps ahead of everyone else. His dark curls had grown slightly longer, often tousled in that way that made him look like he’d just stepped off his broom. His warm brown eyes had a way of lighting up whenever he was scheming or teasing someone, and that boyish grin of his—crooked and a little too smug—seemed to captivate anyone who dared to meet it.
But it wasn’t just his looks. Sebastian had a magnetic energy that made people feel drawn to him, like they were in on some secret joke when they were with him. He was sharp-witted, quick with a comeback, and fiercely loyal to the people he cared about. And if his growing collection of admirers had any clue just how protective and caring he could be, Evangeline figured the line of hopefuls would double in length.
"Evangeline?"
“Evangeline?”
She stiffened, her fork pausing mid-air as his voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She met his deep brown gaze, momentarily caught off guard by the intensity of it. She’d seen his face a thousand times, knew the lines and angles of it like the back of her hand. But somehow, he always seemed to catch her by surprise. His skin was permanently tanned from long hours in the sun, with a natural flush that highlighted his cheekbones, and faint freckles dusted across his nose that made him look just a bit softer. But his eyes, deep and unwavering, held a warmth that seemed to pierce through her.
Her heart did a small, traitorous skip, and she quickly looked down, clearing her throat as she tried to steady herself. “Sorry—what did you say?”
Sebastian’s brows lifted, his lips curving into that familiar, crooked smile. “Lost in thought, were we?” he teased, leaning forward with a glint of amusement in his eyes.
“Just thinking about our next match,” she said, keeping her tone light as she pushed her peas around. “Gryffindor’s got to stay sharp if we’re going to crush Slytherin.”
He chuckled, his gaze still fixed on her in that slightly unsettling, knowing way. “Right. Definitely looked like some intense Quidditch strategizing going on there.”
She rolled her eyes, trying to ignore the way her heart raced under his scrutiny. “Well, someone’s got to keep focused around here. Meanwhile, you’re too busy being the Great Hall’s new celebrity.”
He leaned back, raising an eyebrow as if amused by the accusation. “Can I help it if people finally appreciate my charm and wit?”
Evangeline snorted, unable to resist the smirk that crept onto her face. “Appreciate it? You’re practically fending off fans with a broomstick these days. You could probably sell autographs.”
Sebastian laughed, shrugging, though a flicker of something crossed his expression—just a hint of discomfort, quickly replaced with his usual confidence. “Maybe I should. Could make a few galleons on the side. But,” he leaned in closer, his voice dropping a little, “I’d never charge you, Evie.”
She waved him off with a scoff, he voice flat. “Lucky me. I’ll treasure it.”
But even as they continued their playful banter, she couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling that had settled in her chest, nor could she ignore the way her thoughts kept circling back to the attention he was getting, the attention that had become more noticeable with every passing week. And the worst part was, she couldn't even be upset about it, because she had no right to be. After all, Sebastian was just her friend—her best friend, at that—and he was free to flirt, charm, and bask in attention however he wanted. She should be happy for him, really. He’d always enjoyed a bit of spotlight, and if the girls at Hogwarts had finally realized what she’d known all along—that he was clever and magnetic and far too charming for his own good—then that was fine.
Or at least, it should’ve been.
"...are you going to actually eat anything?" Sebastian's voice was softer now, his gaze fixed on her with a mix of concern and curiosity.
Evangeline blinked, realizing she’d been absentmindedly pushing her food around her plate, barely touching it.
“Yeah, of course,” she replied, forcing a quick smile as she speared a potato and took a hasty bite, hoping it would mask the unease brewing beneath the surface. But his gaze didn’t waver; he was watching her closely, like he could see right through the flimsy shield of her smile.
“Evie…” He leaned in, lowering his voice, a flicker of worry in his brown eyes. "You have been eating, haven't you? You know, since we... talked about..."
Evangeline felt her stomach twist, caught off guard by the concern in his eyes. The reminder of their conversation a couple months ago—the one where he'd confronted her about that damned muffin she picked to pieces instead of eating—felt like a weight pressing down on her chest. She looked away, busying herself with cutting a piece of roast, though her appetite had vanished entirely.
“Yeah, I’ve been eating,” she said lightly, trying to keep her tone dismissive. “Just... maybe not as much as you.”
He let out a small huff of laughter, though it sounded forced, his eyes never leaving her. “Alright. But if something's going on, you can talk to me, you know.”
She met his gaze again, feeling a pang of guilt at the worry etched in his face. Part of her wanted to brush it off with another joke, but the sincerity in his expression made it hard to do so. There were no teasing smirks now, no crooked grins. Just Sebastian—her Sebastian—looking at her with that unwavering loyalty, his eyes full of something that made her heart ache.
"Seriously," she assured him, giving his hand a gentle pat, her fingers lingering on the familiar warmth of his skin, roughened slightly from Quidditch practice and dueling spells.
“I’m fine, Sebastian. Promise,” she added, her voice softening as she tried to ease the worry in his eyes.
He searched her face for a moment longer, and she could see the conflict there—half of him wanting to believe her, the other half reluctant to let it go.
Finally, he nodded, though the worry didn’t fully fade from his expression. He held her gaze a beat longer before shifting his tone, an almost playful glint sneaking back into his eyes.
“So… Clearwater, then?” he asked, his voice light, though she didn’t miss the way his fingers subtly tightened around his goblet.
Evangeline rolled her eyes, but she could feel a blush creeping into her cheeks. “This again? Sebastian, he just thanked me for stopping him from being knocked out.”
“Mhm,” Sebastian hummed, his gaze narrowing slightly, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “That’s why he looked like he’d just won the Quidditch Cup while you were talking. And he asked you for ‘pointers,’ didn’t he?”
She felt her cheeks warm further but shrugged, feigning nonchalance. “Well, maybe he’s just… appreciative of good teamwork.”
“Is that what they’re calling it these days?” Sebastian’s smirk deepened, though his eyes held a hint of something sharper, something he was trying to disguise under his usual teasing. He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a murmur. “You should watch yourself with Clearwater. He’s got a reputation, you know. Doesn’t exactly… stay loyal to the people he charms.”
Evangeline raised an eyebrow, amused at his sudden protectiveness. “Are you really lecturing me on loyalty, Mr. I’ve Been Flirting With Half of Hogwarts Since Term Started?”
He blinked, momentarily caught off guard, before chuckling softly, a hint of color rising in his cheeks. “That’s different,” he said, brushing it off. “I don’t make promises I can’t keep.”
"What is it you two are bickering about this time?" Ominis’s dry voice interrupted, cutting through their playful back-and-forth as he slid onto the bench beside them.
Sebastian leaned back, rolling his eyes but grinning. “Just sharing some wisdom about the pitfalls of inter-house ‘friendships.’”
Evangeline scoffed, nudging Sebastian’s shoulder with her own. “Apparently, Lysander Clearwater isn’t up to Sallow standards.”
Ominis raised an eyebrow, turning his head toward Sebastian, a wry smile ghosting his lips. “And here I thought your standards had been loosened by half the female population at Hogwarts. Pot, meet kettle.”
Sebastian groaned, looking between his two friends with a playfully exasperated look. “What’s this? Ganging up on me now? You both know that’s hardly fair.”
“Hardly fair?” Evangeline smirked, her eyes twinkling. “You started it. Apparently, Lysander looking my way is cause for a full inspection.”
Ominis chuckled softly, reaching for a roll and tearing it in half. “I assume he's already attacking poor Clearwater's character."
Sebastian rolled his eyes, though there was a slight twitch in his jaw as he tried to keep his expression casual. “I’m not attacking his character,” he protested, though his tone was defensive. “Just… pointing out that he’s got a reputation, that’s all.”
“Ah, yes,” Ominis said dryly, dipping his roll into his soup. “The renowned Sebastian Sallow, Protector of Morals and Character Assessment.”
Evangeline laughed, covering her mouth as she shot Sebastian an amused look as Ominis continued, “Lysander is a perfectly respectable Ravenclaw. As respectable as they come, actually. Unlike some people,” he added, raising an eyebrow in Sebastian’s direction.
Sebastian huffed, clearly unimpressed. “Respectable? Please. The guy flirts with anything that moves.”
“Oh, so it’s fine when you do it, but not when he does?” Evangeline teased, nudging him. “Sounds a bit hypocritical, don’t you think?”
Sebastian opened his mouth to retort but hesitated, searching for a suitable comeback. He ended up shrugging instead, though the slight flush in his cheeks betrayed him. “It’s different. I’m not trying to charm you into anything.”
The words lingered in the air, a thoughtless remark tossed out in the heat of their banter. But as they settled, Evangeline felt a prickling sting she hadn’t expected. He’d said it so casually—I’m not trying to charm you into anything—as if the idea of wanting to charm her was laughable.
Her smile faltered, the laughter between them fading like the last glow of a dying ember. She turned her face away, hiding the flicker of hurt that had crept into her eyes. For a heartbeat, she tried to push it aside, to pretend it didn’t matter, but the words stuck, a quiet ache settling in her chest.
Sebastian must have realized it too because his smirk vanished, replaced by a look of dawning regret as he watched her, but she was already looking down at her plate, jaw tight, unwilling to let him see how much his careless comment had landed. Ominis, observing the silent exchange, let out a sigh, clearly exasperated with the two of them, his fingers drumming impatiently on the table.
He was used to their back-and-forth, but lately, he’d been watching this game between them with a blend of fondness and frustration, certain they were the only two in the castle who couldn’t see what was right in front of them.
Evangeline straightened, feeling the weight of Sebastian’s gaze on her, but she didn’t dare look back. If he couldn’t see her as someone worth noticing, maybe someone else could. She pushed herself up from the table abruptly, drawing curious glances from both boys.
“Where are you going?” Sebastian asked, a hint of alarm creeping into his voice as she turned from him, refusing to meet his gaze.
She didn’t answer. Instead, she let her eyes drift across the hall, settling on the Ravenclaw table where Lysander sat among his friends, laughing over something. The sight of his easygoing smile brought a small sense of defiance blooming in her chest, and without another word, she strode over to the Ravenclaws, her chin held high.
Ominis watched her go, then turned to Sebastian, his expression flat with annoyance and pity. “Well done,” he said dryly, clearly unimpressed. “You’re truly a master of tact, Sallow.”
Sebastian barely heard him, his eyes fixed on Evangeline as she approached Lysander’s table. She was smiling now, though he could see the stiffness in her shoulders, the forced cheer in her expression as she struck up a conversation with the Ravenclaw Chaser. A knot twisted in his stomach as he watched Lysander’s face light up, his grin widening as Evangeline said something that made him laugh.
For a moment, Sebastian felt a pang of something hot and fierce that he didn’t want to name. He wanted to look away, pretend it didn’t matter, but he couldn’t tear his gaze from the scene. The way Lysander leaned in, the way Evangeline tilted her head with a smile—it stirred something raw inside him.
“Jealous?” Ominis asked, his voice cutting through Sebastian’s thoughts with maddening calmness.
Sebastian shot him a glare, bristling. “Of course not,” he muttered, but his voice sounded too tight, too strained to be convincing. He looked back toward Evangeline, who was now laughing at something Lysander had said, her head thrown back in a way that made her seem… free.
“Oh, of course,” Ominis drawled, crossing his arms. “That’s why you look ready to hex poor Clearwater where he sits.”
Sebastian clenched his jaw, his fists tightening under the table. “He’s… she doesn’t even like him,” he muttered, trying to sound unconcerned, but his eyes never left her.
"Maybe not yet," Ominis replied, his tone sharpening as he watched Sebastian’s face. "But surely you must realize that telling the woman you're in love with that you're not interested in her won’t exactly bring her closer, will it?"
Sebastian felt his stomach drop, his eyes snapping to Ominis. “I didn’t say I’m in—” he started, his voice low, but Ominis cut him off with a look, one that spoke volumes.
“Oh, spare me,” Ominis said, his exasperation clear. “Anyone with half a brain can see it, and I don’t even need my eyes.”
Sebastian’s shoulders slumped, his gaze flickering over to where Evangeline sat, laughing with Lysander as if she hadn’t a care in the world. She looked… happy. And that, somehow, made the ache in his chest even worse.
“Look, it’s not as simple as you think,” Sebastian muttered, finally tearing his eyes away. “She… she’s my best friend. If she knew… well, what if it ruins everything?”
Ominis sighed, setting down his spoon with a deliberate clink. "If she knew, she might understand why you’re behaving like a jealous idiot.”
Sebastian clenched his jaw, feeling the weight of Ominis’s words settling over him, heavy and irrefutable. Deep down, he knew his friend was right. He knew that this quiet jealousy simmering beneath his skin would only push her further away, that he was risking something valuable, something he hadn’t even admitted to himself in full.
But Sebastian Sallow had never been particularly known for his rational decisions, especially when emotions came into play. His impulse to act, to throw himself into a moment without worrying about the consequences, was hard-wired. And right now, he felt that impulsive urge flaring, pushing against his better judgment.
"Sebastian," Ominis warned, sensing the shift in his posture, the way his jaw set with stubborn resolve. “Don’t be foolish.
Sebastian forced a grin, though it felt hollow. “Relax, Ominis."
Ominis’s hand shot out, grabbing Sebastian’s arm with surprising strength. “Sebastian,” he said quietly, his tone a rare mixture of urgency and exasperation. “You’re going to make things worse. For both of you.”
Sebastian hesitated, just for a moment, feeling the weight of Ominis’s words and the weight of his grip. But then he shrugged him off, giving him a look that was equal parts defiance and frustration. “I appreciate your concern, Ominis. Really. But I know what I’m doing.”
Without another word, he turned and made his way across the Great Hall, ignoring Ominis’s quiet sigh and the slight shake of his head. He could feel the eyes of a few students on him as he crossed the room, the usual curious glances that followed him since term started. And he didn’t miss the way the group of Hufflepuff girls he’d noticed earlier sat up a little straighter as he approached, their whispers stopping as they exchanged excited looks.
He slid into an empty seat next to the nearest girl, offering her an easy smile that he’d perfected over years of half-hearted flirting. “Mind if I join you?” he asked, his voice warm and inviting.
The girl—he thought her name was Lily—looked momentarily stunned, her cheeks flushing pink as she stammered a quick, “Not at all!” Her friends exchanged glances, their excitement barely contained, and Sebastian felt a fleeting surge of satisfaction. If Evangeline wanted to act like Lysander was the most charming bloke at Hogwarts, then he’d give her something to notice, too.
From across the hall, Evangeline felt her jaw clench as she watched Sebastian settle in among the Hufflepuff girls, his easy smile and charm on full display.
Fine, she thought, glancing away with forced indifference. If Sebastian wanted to throw himself at every girl who batted an eyelash his way, that was his choice. She certainly wasn’t going to sit around worrying over it. Instead, she turned her attention to Lysander, who was midway through a story about a misadventure in Ravenclaw Tower involving an escaped Fwooper.
She laughed, genuinely this time, as Lysander animatedly described the scene, his blue eyes sparkling with amusement. The Ravenclaw’s charm was undeniable, his easygoing smile and gentle confidence putting her at ease. As she listened, she found herself relaxing, letting her focus shift from the sting of Sebastian’s behavior to the warmth of the conversation in front of her.
“So,” Lysander said, leaning slightly closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Is it true Gryffindor Beaters have secret drills for extra strength?”
Evangeline smirked, shrugging playfully. “Maybe. You’ll have to earn that kind of classified information, though.”
He grinned, lifting a brow, "Earn it, you say? And what exactly would it take for a humble Ravenclaw Chaser like me to earn such privileged information?”
Evangeline bit back a smile, trying to match his playful tone. “Oh, I don’t know,” she said, tapping her chin as though she were deep in thought. Inside, her heart was racing, each word requiring more confidence than she felt.
Unlike Sebastian, who seemed to flirt effortlessly and without a second thought, Evangeline was not naturally flirtatious. She was far deeper into this than she’d planned, each exchanged look and teasing remark drawing her further in. The thrill of it—the unfamiliar territory of genuine, mutual interest—sent a rush through her, both exhilarating and terrifying.
"Perhaps, we could discuss terms over a butterbeer at the Broomsticks?"
She couldn't believe the words had left her mouth. Had she really just suggested that? A flicker of nerves swept through her, and she fought to keep her expression steady, hoping her voice hadn’t sounded as shaky as she felt.
Lysander’s face lit up, his easy smile shifting into something warmer, almost excited. “Now that,” he said, leaning in just a touch closer, “sounds like an excellent idea. Would tomorrow work for you, Evangeline?"
Her heart gave a little flip at the way he said her name, soft and sure, like it was something he’d wanted to say for a while. She held his gaze, feeling her cheeks warm under his steady look, and couldn’t help the small, genuine smile that tugged at her lips. This felt… new, like she’d opened a door to something she hadn’t realized she wanted.
“Alright,” she replied, managing to keep her tone light, “but fair warning: Gryffindor terms are notoriously steep. I hope you’re prepared.”
Lysander chuckled, unfazed. “I’d expect nothing less."
Evangeline lingered with Lysander for another few minutes, their conversation light and easy, a comfortable warmth settling between them as they continued to exchange smiles and laughs.
Eventually, she glanced over her shoulder and noticed Ominis waiting patiently, his gaze turned politely toward the far end of the hall. She realized with a start that she’d been chatting with Lysander much longer than she’d meant to.
“Well,” she said, returning her gaze to Lysander, her lips curling into a soft smile. “Thanks for the company. And, um… I’ll see you tomorrow?”
Lysander’s smile widened, a hint of satisfaction in his expression. “Tomorrow it is. I’ll look forward to it, Evangeline.”
Her cheeks warmed as he said her name, and she gave him a small nod before finally breaking away. She turned and made her way back to Ominis, her heart still racing slightly from the thrill of agreeing to meet Lysander.
When she reached Ominis, he turned toward her with a bemused expression, his lips twitching into a faint smirk. “You were over there for a while,” he commented, his voice laced with amusement. “I’d nearly forgotten we were here to eat.”
Evangeline rolled her eyes, though she couldn’t keep the smile off her face. “I was just being friendly.”
“Friendly, hm?” Ominis arched an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. “It looked a bit more than ‘friendly’ from where I was sitting. I’d go so far as to call it ‘charmed.’”
She tried to shrug off his comment, but the hint of color on her cheeks betrayed her. “Well… maybe there was a little charm involved.”
Ominis chuckled, his smirk widening. “It seems I’ll have to get used to you being the center of attention for once, though I think there’s one person here who won’t be quite as pleased about it.”
Evangeline’s smile faltered as she followed Ominis’s gaze back to where Sebastian sat with the Hufflepuff girls, his easy laugh and confident posture unmistakable. Even from a distance, she could tell he was laying on his charm. The familiar pang of irritation crept back into her chest as she watched him, feeling that strange, unsettling twist that she still didn’t want to name.
“It's not like I care what he thinks,” she muttered, crossing her arms.
Ominis gave her a long, skeptical look, one that made her cheeks burn. She shot him a warning glance, daring him to say anything more.
“Alright," He acquiesced, "So what did you and Clearwater talk about? Or should I be asking what you two agreed on, based on that smile?”
Evangeline hesitated, feeling her cheeks warm again under his knowing gaze. “He… may have agreed meet up for a butterbeer tomorrow. Just to, you know, chat about Quidditch and such.”
“Of course,” Ominis replied, his voice dripping with amused disbelief. “Just casual Quidditch talk, is it?”
She huffed, nudging him with her elbow. “Honestly, Ominis, it’s nothing serious. Just… something new. I thought it’d be fun.”
“Good,” Ominis said, his expression softening. “You deserve some fun, Evangeline.”
As they finished up lunch, they chatted about classes, gossip around the school, and their upcoming assignments, Ominis filling the time with his usual dry wit and grounded observations. The comfort of his friendship helped chase away the lingering thoughts of Sebastian and Lysander, allowing her to settle into a sense of ease once again.
Later that evening, Evangeline and Ominis tucked themselves into a quiet corner of the library to study. Stacks of parchment, a handful of old textbooks, and an assortment of quills were spread out between them, illuminated by the flickering glow of a nearby lantern. The library was mostly empty, the muffled silence only broken by the occasional soft footsteps of Scribner as she prowled the aisles, keeping an eagle eye on the few students who lingered.
Evangeline was absorbed in her notes when she sensed movement out of the corner of her eye. Glancing up, she nearly dropped her quill. Sebastian was weaving his way through the shelves, and he looked… well, thoroughly disheveled.
His shirt was partially untucked, his tie hanging loosely and crooked, and his dark curls were charmingly mussed, as though he’d either been in a hurry—or had been busy with something else entirely. His gaze darted around the library as if searching for someone, and when his eyes landed on her, he froze.
Ominis noticed her sudden silence and looked up. “Is something wrong?” he asked, but then he followed her gaze and gave an exasperated sigh. “Ah. I see someone’s had an eventful evening.”
Sebastian made his way over to them, sliding into the seat across from her with a lazy grin, entirely unbothered by his disheveled state. “Evening,” he said, stretching out and folding his hands behind his head, giving off an air of smug satisfaction.
“Had a good night, did we?” Ominis asked, not bothering to mask the sarcasm.
Sebastian shrugged, looking at them with a glint in his eye. “Not bad,” he replied. “I may have run into a few people who needed entertaining.”
Evangeline kept her face carefully blank, refusing to give Sebastian the satisfaction of a reaction, but beneath the surface, she felt like the air had been pulled from her lungs.
Her chest tightened painfully as she imagined what he'd been up to, and with whom. A vague, irrational jealousy flared, stinging her with an intensity she hadn’t expected.
It wasn’t fair, she told herself. She had no right to feel this way, no right to feel possessive over him, but that didn’t stop her mind from replaying the image of him hidden away with some Hufflepuff girl in a broom closet, his face inches from hers, that same lazy grin he now wore aimed at someone else. The idea left a bitter taste in her mouth.
After a tense silence, she managed to last another five minutes, pretending to be engrossed in her studies, but each second felt like a fresh test of her endurance. Finally, unable to stand the smug look on Sebastian’s face or the suffocating jealousy tightening in her chest, she snapped her book shut.
“I think that’s all for me tonight,” she announced, shoving her notes and quill into her bag with hurried movements. “I’ve got an early morning.”
Ominis, perceptive as ever, raised an eyebrow but kept a knowing smile to himself. “Goodnight, Evie,” he replied, and then, as though he’d read her thoughts, added with perfectly timed mischief, “And enjoy your butterbeer with Lysander tomorrow.”
The effect on Sebastian was immediate. His relaxed posture tensed, and his lazy grin faded, his brows drawing together in confusion and irritation. He opened his mouth to say something, but Evangeline was already getting to her feet, determined to escape before he could ask any questions.
“Thanks, Ominis,” she said, shooting him a small, grateful smile, as if he’d somehow offered her a lifeline. “Goodnight, Sebastian,” she added with forced nonchalance, barely looking at him.
“Night, Evie,” he replied, but his voice lacked its usual warmth, and she could feel his eyes boring into her as she made her way toward the library exit.
As Evangeline disappeared around the corner, Sebastian watched the spot where she’d just been, a muscle ticking in his jaw. He seemed to be struggling to process what Ominis had just casually dropped into the conversation. A date with Lysander Clearwater? Since when did she—
“What was that all about?” Sebastian finally asked, his voice tight as he turned to Ominis. His eyes held a mix of frustration and something that bordered on betrayal.
Ominis leaned back in his chair, looking far too pleased with himself. “What?" he replied, feigning innocence as he flipped open his book again, though he wasn’t even glancing at the page.
Sebastian huffed, crossing his arms and sinking back in his chair. “Since when is she… going on dates."
“Oh, since today,” Ominis replied, his tone smooth and maddeningly calm. “She asked him out. They’re meeting at the Three Broomsticks.”
She asked him?! The confirmation made something twist uncomfortably in Sebastian’s chest. He remembered Evie talking to Clearwater earlier, her bright smile and relaxed demeanour, the way she’d laughed with him in a way that looked so… easy. And now, that same ease would be shared over butterbeer, while he’d be left to watch from the sidelines, unwanted and out of place.
“What’s so great about him, anyway?” Sebastian muttered, glaring at a distant spot on the library wall. “He’s… boring. Probably reads strategy books for fun.”
Ominis chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. “Don’t be so dramatic, Sebastian. Lysander’s a perfectly decent person. He’s polite, intelligent, kind—qualities Evangeline seems to appreciate.” He shot Sebastian a sidelong glance, his gaze softening. “It’s not exactly a mystery why she might enjoy his company.”
Sebastian scoffed, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. “He’s just not… right for her. They’ve barely spoken before this term.”
“And you’d rather have her stay by your side, trailing after you while you flirt with every girl who looks your way?” Ominis raised an eyebrow, his tone cool. “You can’t have it both ways, Sebastian.”
“I’m not—” Sebastian started, his frustration growing as Ominis’s words dug under his skin. “It’s not like that. I just don’t see why she has to be with someone like him.”
Ominis closed his book with a soft thud, fixing Sebastian with a patient yet exasperated look. “Listen, Sebastian. You’re my best friend, but you’re also insufferably thick sometimes. If you're not going to admit how you feel, then you should at least be happy for her.”
Sebastian’s fists clenched at his sides, unwilling to admit that Ominis was right, that this wasn’t just a matter of Clearwater’s supposed faults. No, it was the gnawing feeling in his chest, the realization that he’d taken her presence for granted—believing, foolishly, that she’d always be there, waiting in the background, just for him.
“Do you really think she’s… interested in him?” he asked quietly, almost hoping Ominis would tell him otherwise.
Ominis sighed, softening. “I think she’s looking for someone who appreciates her, and Lysander’s offered her that. And frankly, she deserves it.” Then, after a beat, he added pointedly, “But it doesn’t have to be him, Sebastian. You could stop pretending you’re not interested.”
Sebastian didn’t respond immediately, staring at the table as if it held answers he couldn’t grasp. Obviously, he wasn’t about to admit to Evangeline that he was undeniably, completely, and utterly in love with her—and had been for over a year now. There was a terrifying vulnerability in even considering it, in risking the one constant he’d always counted on.
But the image of her laughing with Lysander, of her being charmed by him and agreeing to meet him tomorrow, tugged at something deep and raw within him. The thought of her choosing someone else, someone who didn’t know her half as well as he did... he couldn't take it.
Without another word to Ominis, Sebastian pushed back his chair and stood, his resolve hardening with each step he took toward the library exit. Behind him, he heard Ominis sigh, but he didn’t have time to worry about what Ominis thought. Right now, he only knew one thing—he couldn’t just sit there while she walked out of his reach.
The corridors were dim and quiet as he hurried after her, his footsteps echoing as he scanned each hallway, hoping he hadn’t lost her. His heart thudded with a mixture of nerves and frustration as he rounded a corner and finally spotted her, her dark hair falling over her shoulders as she made her way toward the staircase.
“Evie!” he called, his voice louder than he’d intended in the quiet of the castle.
She stopped, turning to see him striding toward her, and her eyes widened slightly, her expression shifting between surprise and something he couldn’t quite place. “Sebastian?” she said, folding her arms defensively as he closed the distance between them.
He hadn’t thought this far ahead. Standing in front of her now, the words he’d wanted to say evaporated, replaced by the realization that he had no plan, only a jumble of emotions he hadn’t sorted out. But he couldn’t turn back now, not with her looking at him like that, as if she could see right through his bravado.
“I, um…” He ran a hand through his hair, stalling for a moment. “I just—didn’t get a chance to say goodnight properly.”
Evangeline raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. “Goodnight properly?” She huffed, clearly unconvinced.
Sebastian shifted uncomfortably under her gaze, feeling the weight of her skepticism. “Yeah, you know… just thought I should… say it,” he stumbled, his usual easy confidence faltering. “I mean, you left pretty quickly.”
Evangeline’s brow arched higher, her arms still crossed as she gave him a level look. “I'm tired,” she replied, her voice calm, but there was a flicker of irritation in her eyes. “Long day. And I need to be up early tomorrow."
Sebastian’s jaw tightened, and he tried to brush it off, but the words stung, his stomach twisting at the reminder. “Right, for Clearwater,” he said, his tone sharper than he’d intended.
She narrowed her eyes, her irritation flaring. “And?"
Sebastian took a steadying breath, fighting to keep his composure, but his frustration slipped into his tone. “And I just don’t see why you’d waste your time with him, that’s all.”
Evangeline’s eyes flashed, and she uncrossed her arms, taking a step forward. “Waste my time? Since when is having a simple butterbeer wasting my time?”
He clenched his fists, struggling to find the right words. “It’s not that, it’s just… I don’t think he’ll appreciate you. Not really.”
She let out a breath, exasperated. “And you know that how? Did Clearwater suddenly become some kind of villain while I wasn’t looking?”
“No, but—”
“But nothing, Sebastian.” Her voice softened, but there was a sadness there, a deep disappointment that cut through him. “If you can’t be happy for me, then at least don’t make me feel bad for wanting… something new.
Sebastian felt his chest tighten, a desperate urge clawing at him to stop her, to make her see how he felt. But he was paralyzed, the words stuck in his throat. All he could do was watch as she shook her head slightly, her face a mixture of frustration and resignation.
“Goodnight, Sebastian,” she said, her voice laced with a forced calm that did little to hide the sting behind her words. “Have fun snogging your flavor of the week in whatever broom closet you end up in.”
The jab landed harder than he expected, and he flinched, momentarily caught off guard by the bitterness in her tone. She didn’t wait for a response, though. Before he could say anything, she’d already turned, her footsteps brisk and purposeful as she disappeared down the hall.
Sebastian stood there, rooted to the spot, a mixture of guilt and frustration twisting in his chest. The hollow emptiness that followed her departure settled into something heavier, something that gnawed at him with each step she took further out of reach.
A part of him wanted to run after her, to catch her arm and tell her that none of it mattered, that the flirting, the charm he used so carelessly—it was all meaningless. He wanted to tell her that it was only her smile, her laugh, her presence that he craved, that his foolish pride had kept him from admitting what he knew deep down: he didn’t want anyone else.
But he’d let her walk away, and it was too late to take that back now.

✧ ⁺˳ cw. fem! reader, unprotected, praise, established relationship, whiny nanami, cowgirl, mdni.
nanami loses his mind whenever his dick slips out of you.
thin blond strands of hair stick to his forehead as he stares at you. “sweetheart,” he almost pouts, hearing nothing but white noise in his ears as you’re jerking your body up and down against him. you felt so good, the warmth you always provided for him made him fall more and more in love. your saturated grip was merely addicting. he was quite literally drowning in your cunt. he found himself licking his lips, tossing his head back in bliss with a beefy arm clinging onto the rickety headboard. nanami uses his free hand to hold onto your waist, padded calloused thumbs brushing up and down your waist. “ugh, you do it s- so well, ride me so good,” and his words were like a broken record, a broken whisper. despite its raspiness, you could still hear the neediness lingering underneath. he looked so pretty, glossed up with tears of damp sweat. nanami’s mahongy blown irises rolling back before a low grunt pours from his lips.
“kento, ‘m close,” and as those sweet three words left your quivering spit-glossed lips, you let off a pitchy loud moan. your knees dig themselves deep into his thighs. as you vigorously rock further against his lap, it happens. he’s got a hand attaches to your waist only for his cock to abruptly slip itself out of your slippery cunt mid thrust and you could hear a tiny gasp leave his lips.
“o- oh fuck,” he groans, blinking twice. his entire palm creeps up against your ass as he pants. even the way he swore sounded angelic. the squelching pop sound that created from the sloppy action of your hips makes his ears ring. nanami buries his face into the forbidden crook of your neck in sheer embarrassment, wrapping a few thick fingers over his veiny length. “let me put it back in, s- sweetheart. stay still . . please.”
there was so much entreating beg in his voice, he felt the furrowing curl of his eyebrows compress together before he sprawls your thighs apart further with a single hand.
“okay,” you hum, feeling a breeze of wind rip straight out of your lungs. you’ve lost track of how many hours it’s been, riding him until he was a dumb pussy drunken mess. nanami felt his cock twitch at any and every word escaped from your lips. he could listen to your voice all day and never grow tired. your voice was his own favorite song to listen to on loop. “put it back in, ‘ken.”
“anything for you, my love,” he huffs, broad arms wrapping around your torso. he held you close, never wanting to let go.
the parching hot temperature of your own body radiates against him - your chest, it presses up onto his own and he practically feels himself melting from your balmy heat.
“s- so soaked for me.” he points out with half-lidded eyes and a flushed face, preparing to re-align himself. nanami finds himself gawking at just how wet you were, creating a sheeny trail of your heat all on his lap. it made his mouth water at the thought of him licking it right up. he never minded to be messy — especially for you.
anytime you let him go inside, he makes it his entire life goal to make sure you feel good.
you let off a whimper, skimming a few trembly fingers down his faded undercut as he’s going back inside. you can hear his irregular pants as he’s smearing his damp cockhead against your entrance. nanami stares down, practically about to cum just from going back in.
with ease, you suck him in slowly and that moment was gonna always be embedded into his brain. you always swallowed him in so good. his girth, it stretches you open right away and your pussy greets him yet again with another greeting welcome. “k- kento, fuuuck.”
“i know, i know,” he pants, maneuvering soothing circles around your back with a clammy palm. you still had your knees dug into his thighs, making a cute attempt to start moving again. both bodies so close, perspiring with sweat that you start to stick and glue against him. with his sculpted jaw tightening, nanami can’t help but give the left cheek of your ass a nice squeeze. “oh, sweetheart. ‘m not gonna last if you keep— keep clamping down on me like t- this, fuck.”
as he’s fully inside again and his eyes salaciously roll way back, the powerful jerk of your hips starts to accelerate again and he’s already dumb.
dumb from your sweet, sweet cunt - his true enemy, you had him whipped.
there’s already a milky white ring coating around his thickset base. each time you jolt up from his lap only to slam back down, you hear the squelches of your own slippery cunt.
it’s messy, he’s messy. only for you though.
nanami feels the warm palm of your hands playfully shove him back against the fluffed pillows that’s directly behind him. “ah,” he lands back with a sheepish expression, gentle umber colored eyes flickering at your grinding body. “w- what’s this?”
“lie back, ken,” you murmur to him, feeling the fat tip of his cock repeatedly kiss up against your most sweetest spots. it took everything in you for your thighs - for your legs to not collapse right then and there. you see more teary beads of sweat race down the sides of his forehead as he clings onto your unstable waist. “there . . good,” you purr to him, sliding a hand up his abs, a finger ghosting down his chiseled v-line and further back down toward his visible blond happy trail. “good boy.”
he swallows — a soft noise leaving out of him. nanami felt his cock twitch again, and this time, you felt it too. “s- say it again,” he pleads, his voice gruff yet still needy. you steady your hips, creating more haste before pressing a kiss into his neck. “c- call me that again, sweetheart.”
“good boy, kento,” you repeat in a whisper, realizing that he actually got off to your praises. he melts again, this time at your words. the bed creaks and grates in rapture, sweaty bodies mirroring springy movements in sync before he abruptly sinks his face into your chest.
“praise me more,” he utters hoarsely, and you let off a soft moan as he shifts himself underneath you.
you’re still bouncing on him, hearing the groaning springs of the bed sing out a lewd tune of its own and your back arches. as you felt brief bittersweet pangs near the undersides of your thighs spread like wildfire, he whines.
“mhh,” and within seconds, you feel the wet tip of nanami’s tongue lick a long stripe down the valley of your chest. pretty lashes of his flutter shut before he holds your hips in firm place. as you stare down, his twitching thickset cock still concealed deep within your walls, he pouts one more time, squished face tuck right between your chest.
“please. praise me again, my love. pretty please.”

⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 ⏖ ’ early morning moments with skz !
⁺ 𖹭 . genre: fluff! jisung's a tiny bit suggestive
⁺ 𖹭 . a/n: since i've done late night moments with them, i think it's only fitting i write this as well! enjoyy <33 pls let me know your thoughts by reblogging or leaving a comment <3 (inspired by some of these prompts <3)
𝜗୧ chan 𝜗୧
You’ve been awake for a while now, snuggling and holding each other close as half of your body was on top of your boyfriend’s, almost latching onto him like a koala bear without shame. And he didn’t mind, Chan never did, content with being glued to you in every situation, hugging you so tightly like he wanted you to morph into one, the same entity kept alive by the beating of a singular heart.
“You fell asleep in the first 20 minutes of the movie last night.” You whisper, drawing random shapes on his exposed pecs, laying in the crook of his neck. Chan makes an apologetic sound before he’s interrupted by a yawn, stretching his arms above his head and letting one fall to curl around your middle. “Sorry, baby. I guess I was pretty tired.”
Tired is an understatement, and you laugh, lazily reaching for your phone on the nightstand to show him exactly what you’re talking about, with him tugging you right back to his chest when you stretch too far. There is a picture of Chan, sitting on the couch with his head thrown back and mouth open, snoring away while the movie he’s been begging you to watch together was rolling in the background.
The laugh he lets out is quieter than usual, the remains of sleep obvious in his half-closed eyes and deeper voice. “Damn, I was out like a light.”
You continue cuddling for a while before agreeing it’s time to start your day, reluctantly separating and sitting up at the end of the bed, adopting the same stance.
He’s still mumbling about something when you notice his hair sticking out in every direction, reaching out to tame the curls before stealing a kiss which only makes your boyfriend want another, and another until twenty minutes have passed and you’re still in bed, snuggling and making out like the world outside your bedroom did not exist.
𝜗୧ minho 𝜗୧
“Minho.” You whisper, tossing and turning under the blanket to face him, peering at his sleeping face. Your boyfriend was on his back, resting peacefully, unaware of the godly beauty he possessed, one people would surely go to war for, chest rising and falling rhythmically.
He doesn’t respond so, you try again. “Minho!” this time, he scrunches his nose cutely and rolls over, away from you and your antics he was too tired to be a victim of this early in the morning.
“Minho, are you awake yet?” You know what they say, third time is the charm because your boyfriend responds instantly, voice loud and clear, the opposite of your soft tone which takes you by complete surprise. “No.”
“Oh, okay.” you whisper, feeling bad for disturbing him. “Sorry.” you almost turn on your side and succumb to slumber before it hits you. Without warning, you swing a leg over his torso before rolling yourself over him to land on the other side of the bed, ignoring all his groans in protest.
“Liar!” You’re nose to nose now and Minho barely gets to open his eyes before you push his shoulder, causing him to fall on his back as you climb to straddle him. You waste no time leaning down and connecting your lips in a sweet kiss, cupping his cheeks and squeezing affectionately. As much as he wanted to complain, Minho couldn’t help but smile against your lips, body melting into the mattress while one of his veiny hands moved to rest on your exposed thigh, needing to feel more of you.
He should lie more often if this is the reward he gets.
𝜗୧ changbin 𝜗୧
“Binnie.” You’re gentle as you brush curly hair strands from his forehead, smiling when he instantly leans into your touch. “My love, I know you’re awake.”
“Then you should also know I hate waking up to an empty bed.” He pouts, eyes still closed stubbornly. With the same fond smile, you roll your eyes, hand dropping down to slowly trace his every feature, knowing he could never resist you.
“I had a good cause, I promise.” When he doesn’t budge, you reach for the tray on the nightstand and place it across his lap, over the blanket, careful his smoothie doesn’t spill over. “I made breakfast.”
Just like magic, his eyes snap open and he sits up so quickly you wonder if he got whiplash that was instantly cured by the smell of his favorite breakfast. His eyes sparkle as his gaze moves back and forth from the tray to you, so touched and grateful as he takes it all in, noticing the effort you put in so early in the morning just to cook a feast and surprise him with breakfast in bed. Nobody’s ever done something like this for him, love him so deeply and openly. Is this what being the luckiest man in the world felt like?
“I love you.” The words stumble out without second thought, eyes misty, forgetting all about being upset and giving you attitude. When you laugh, he does too, carefully leaning over the food to kiss you, the love of his life that adored him in the exact same way he adored you.
Love is the greatest gift he’s ever received and as selfish as it sounds, Changbin hopes you’ll continue loving him this way for the rest of your shared lives, that you’ll always remain by his side. He promises to continue eating your cooking even when you’re both old and grey, impaired taste and all.
𝜗୧ hyunjin 𝜗୧
The early hours of the morning found you in the arms of your beloved, sleeping away, undisturbed by the outside world and its people who were already hurrying around to get to work on time. You won’t be joining them today, nor will the man whose warmth was currently engulfing you whole, creating a safe love bubble you never wanted to burst.
Your face was buried in his chest, the soft material of his t-shirt moving with each breath he took, his heartbeat rocking you to sleep every time your eyes opened to check the time. Old habits die hard, but Hyunjin always manages to calm your racing mind even from dreamland.
Half an hour later, when the sun starts to peek through the drawn curtains, you’re awakened by tiny paws jumping on the bed, breathing and barking loudly. So much for sleeping in. Hyunjin’s eyes open with a smile, arms tightening their hold on your middle as he brings you even closer, resting his chin on top of your head while squeezing tightly. Morning cuddles were a must, even if your boyfriend’s other baby was too impatient to be let out to allow you to enjoy them to the fullest.
“Good morning, love.” He greets you with a kiss, lingering there for the briefest moment before finally tearing himself from you, giggling down the hallway as he quickly goes to allow Kkami on the terrace.
He comes back rambling about something that happened at a schedule the other day, blinking the sleep away as he hands you a water bottle, yawning here and there. Unfortunately for him, you’re not listening, too distracted by the way his plump lips move and his husky voice, the words going in one ear and out the other as your inner monologue takes over.
“Your morning voice is so hot.” Hyunjin stops mid-sentence, momentarily taken aback before he bursts out laughing, dramatically collapsing back into bed and reaching for your hand to hold. “What?”
You nod, now sitting up against the headboard, eyes still zoned in on his pink and wet lips, enthralled. “Tell me more, baby. What did Chan do?” “He wasn’t even there!” See, not paying attention at all. But who could blame you when your boyfriend couldn’t take the hint and finally kiss you again?
𝜗୧ jisung 𝜗୧
“I had a dream about you.” Jisung perks up from his place on your chest, the TV running idly in the background, showing a random cartoon. “Was I hot?” “You cheated on me.”
He gasps dramatically but doesn’t move, too comfortable as you continue running your fingers through his freshly dyed hair, almost lulling him back to sleep. “Asshole move, dream me. Off with his head!.”
You chuckle, kissing the top of his head and turning into a puddle once he begins leaving wet kisses on your neck, apologizing or most likely trying to distract you from how he’s been acting in your dream. It was working, because you lost your train of thought a couple of times before managing to speak again, eyes fluttering shut.
“You were very mean, actually.” Jisung hums against your neck, licking the skin before his kisses move downwards, to your collarbones, warm hands holding you down by the waist, touch burning pleasantly through your thin clothing.
“I’m sorry, baby.” He props his head up, chin resting right above your chest as his eyes bore into yours with a familiar intensity. “Please let me make it up for you.”
That’s what he says but ten minutes into making out and caressing each other’s bodies, his head falls tiredly to his previous place on your chest and you’re both out like a light, the warmth and cloudy weather of the early morning casting the spell of sleep on your forms and trapping you in bed for another three hours.
𝜗୧ felix 𝜗୧
You were not a morning person, it was a well-known fact by everyone in your life. Especially by your boyfriend who usually stayed up to keep you company, talking the hours away and giggling under the blankets until you both passed out just as the moon was retiring for the day.
So, you’re more than perplexed when one very early morning, you feel a warm hand caressing your cheek, followed by soft lips peppering feather-like kisses on every inch of your face, coaxing you awake.
“Baby,” his deep voice calls, barely above a whisper to not scare you, leaving a kiss on the corner of your mouth this time, “wake up, angel.”
You make a face, eyes still closed in protest and make to turn over, away from him until you feel the bed dip and his hand in your hair, massaging the scalp gently. Was Felix trying to wake you up or lull you back to sleep? Pretty sure he was just as confused.
When he leans down again, hovering over your face, your arms spring up and lock at the back of his neck, quickly bringing him down and bumping your noses together. You see his eyes widen, inhaling sharply as he realizes what you’re about to do and dodges your kiss last second, lips landing on his cheekbone instead.
Groggy and grumpy from being woken up this early, you pout, relaxing under his weight as his chest presses yours down. “Kiss me!” Felix chuckles and shakes his head, hands on either side of your head holding him up. “Not until you wake up and join me in the kitchen.” Once he sees you shake your own head and move to try and kiss him again, he adds. “I have a surprise!”
Now why didn’t he say so from the beginning? You release him but he doesn’t move away immediately, smiling from ear to ear before kissing your forehead and scooping you out of bed in one swift movement, strong arms under your knees as he giggles and jogs towards the kitchen, face brightening up when a smile finally graces your features.
𝜗୧ seungmin 𝜗୧
Every single morning, Seungmin was the first to wake up without fail, reaching for you to bring your body to his chest and cuddle until you also did, just laying there since he never wanted you to wake up alone.
That’s why when you woke up earlier than usual, with his chin resting on your shoulder and hot breath hitting your cheek, you didn’t hesitate to move around and bring the blanket further up your bodies, making sure you were both covered and comfortable among the many pillows.
“Your feet are cold.” But Seungmin doesn’t respond, legs intertwined and body still glued to yours like he never wanted to let go, couldn’t. You sneak a glance over your shoulder and find his eyes closed, long eyelashes kissing the top of his cheeks as he rested, sleeping deeply. For the first time since you’ve known him, Seungmin didn’t smile in greeting as you woke up, still sleeping soundly like it was the most normal thing in the world.
It felt a bit strange, but your heart only grew as you watched him, admiring his side profile and the peaceful look on his face, the furrow between his eyebrows absent as dreamland took care of him.
You never got the chance to do this, wake up first and let your thoughts run wild as you resist the urge to squeeze his cheeks and plant kisses all over his face, love pouring out at a dangerous pace, threatening to suffocate him at any moment. Not like Seungmin would mind, adoring you too much to not allow you to do whatever you pleased.
As careful as you can be, one of your hands trails down and intertwines your fingers, gently bringing your connected hands to your chest as you curl further into him, content with getting more cuddle time, loving every single moment.
𝜗୧ jeongin 𝜗୧
“Did you know you talk in your sleep?” You mumble into his neck, squeezing your eyes shut as you try to hide from the obnoxious sunlight that is threatening to take your lover away with the start of a new day.
Jeongin laughs, incredulous. “No way! I’ve had countless roommates and none of them have ever complained about me randomly rambling in my sleep.” He headbutts you affectionately, almost like a cat, and snuggles closer, also bothered by the sun but too lazy to get up and close the curtains he forgot about last night.
“I’m not complaining.” Looking up, you share a breath as you move to plant a small kiss on his nose, smiling when it scrunches up in fake annoyance, knowing your boyfriend loved morning cuddles as much as you did. “I actually think it’s kind of endearing.”
He rolls his eyes, big hand drawing circles on your back under the blanket, soothing you in an attempt to get you both to fall back asleep. Mornings were not his thing, and he really didn’t want to leave you, clingier than usual. The bed was so warm, and you were so soft and smelt so good, how could he ever think about leaving? Not like he’d ever admit it out loud.
“What did I say?” He chooses to entertain you, stretching his whole body before bringing the blanket over your heads and moving his arms to hug you, turning on his side so you’re face to face. You pause, momentarily mesmerized by his beauty, messy hair and puffy eyes only making him look even more adorable in your eyes. Tracing his bottom lip, he puckers them to gently kiss your finger. “I don’t know, I don’t speak gibberish.”
He groans, regretting he asked and hiding his face in his pillow. “You also snore.” “I do not!”

❝𝐢 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲.❞
: ̗̀➛ overview: telling various anime characters you want a baby.
: ̗̀➛ tw; afab!reader w/no gendered language. mentions of pregnancy and getting pregnant, first scenario is nsfw (w/ lowk breeding kink) but the rest are sfw. intentional lowercase!
── დ ──
he pauses, glancing over to you. there's a certain change in his expression that you can't decipher. something in the way his feet shuffle and his shoulders tense, in the way his eyes just barely squint and his tongue darts out to lick at his lips.
"you want a.. baby?" he repeats. the last word comes out strained, as if he was choking on the idea. the idea of you staring down at a positive pregnancy test, the idea of you waddling around the house, the idea of you carrying his child.
you nod, eyeing his form in the kitchen. when your eyes meet his, he looks away and back down to the dishes in front of him. "i want your baby," you correct, almost shyly.
he audibly gulps, setting down the dish he was washing with a dull thump of glass against sink. his hands grip at the granite counter and he tilts his head backward. a long exhale escapes him. there's a pause in the air, only for a few seconds. you, sat on the couch, face flushed and wondering if your confession was a mistake, and him standing silent in the kitchen.
"my baby." he repeats. tasting the way the words sit on his tongue. toying with the implications, the ideas floating around in his head. for a brief moment, a vision of you fucked out and actually dripping with his cum flashes before his eyes.
the man shudders visibly and forces himself to take a deep breath. in, then out, and in again.
he turns around and leans against the granite counter, crossing his tense arms over his chest. this time, when you go to meet his eyes, you find his gaze is already boring into yours. there's an air of certainty around him, something that leaves you feeling strangely breathless. hooded eyes never leaving yours, jaw ticking and lips turning upwards, almost smugly.
he brings a shaky hand up to run through his hair. pushing back stray strands and ruffling. you can't tell if the action is out of nerves or if he's just struggling that hard with holding himself back.
"hm. guess i'll have to make you one then."

you can feel his entire body tense behind you after you blurt the words out. the arms around your waist tightening their hold, the legs entangled with yours going rigid. even the small breaths that fan your neck momentarily pause, and you suddenly feel cold.
"sweetheart?" you whisper out, wondering if you had made some kind of mistake admitting your desire for a baby. that maybe you guys aren't ready for that conversation, yet.
from behind you, he exhales sharply, a small noise escaping his throat. then, the hands on your waist are suddenly gripping into your skin, and he's haphazardly maneuvering you until your face to face with him. no longer spooning, but rather brushing noses and sharing breaths.
"what did you just say?" the words are muttered, whispered like a secret only you two share.
he's staring at you with such a look that every nerve under your skin begins to burn. it's more than affection, more than desire, more than love. like he never wants to look away, like he can stand witness to the expansion of the universe just from looking into your eyes.
you swallow harshly, a hand coming up to play with the back of his hair. something to ground you back to reality. he preens at the touch, and you can feel a shiver rack through him.
"i said i want to have a baby." you hum, soft and sweet.
his eyes fall shut and he leans his forehead against yours. the grip he has on your waist tightens, his other hand beginning to run up and down your back. as if he's struggling to keep his head out of the clouds just as much as you are.
"really? you wanna start a family with me?" he chokes the words out, as if the utter idea of it seems impossible. as if you'd never want him, want the life he's also been daydreaming about.
you cusp at his cheek, thumbing at the soft skin. something warm fills you, every inch of your body, tingling at your fingertips. you think about it all over again- him, a father, running around a fenced in yard, chasing a giggling toddler, the smell of lunch cooking in the background. and you, watching it all from a swing on the porch. how could you not want that?
you smile, "honey, i want to start a life with you."

── დ ──
the car tires squeal as he briefly loses control of the wheel, jerking it to the left and just barely missing the concrete lane divider. your grip onto your seatbelt, and the only reason you don't go flying forward is the arm of your lover jutting out in front of you. with a small curse, he straightens out the car and hits the brakes.
the car behind you beeps angrily, though he only waves them off through the window before focusing back on the road. it's silent for a few seconds, the two of you catching you breaths and trying to quiet the loud heartbeat of adrenaline. you begin to think that blurting out your want for a baby while on the road wasn't the brightest idea.
the man sitting beside you finally speaks up a few moments later. his words come out breathless and high pitched. "a baby?! like... a real one?"
you snap your head towards him and, in irritation, begin to slap at his shoulder and arm. "are you kidding!? you almost kill us and that's the first thing you say to me?! i'm being serious! i want a baby!"
he whines, weakly fending off your attacks with his other hand. "oka- okay! stop hitting me, jesus!" he groans, attention diverted between the green light in front of him and your pouting face.
you finally relent after one final slap and huff in annoyance. crossing you arms and slouching against the passenger seat like a toddler who hasn't been given their way.
he eyes you from the drivers seat with a wobbly lip. trying desperately to hold back the laugh brewing inside of him, knowing it'll only serve to annoy you further. he seems to have a special talent at that.
"stop pouting, c'mon now. look at me, love." he coos, taking one of his hands off the wheel and instead using it to caress your cheek. tapping at your nose, twirling at your hair, then gripping your chin and tilting it toward him.
he spares a brief glance toward you, not wanting to take his eyes off of the road for too long. "you really want a baby? i'll give you one, yeah? i'll trash the condoms myself as soon as we get home. how's that sound?"
you roll your eyes, but he can see the amusement cracking through your expression bit by bit. then, finally, you smile. small at first, before it splits wide across your lips. he awes audibly, pinching at your cheeks before you slap his hand away.
yeah, he doesn't think he'd mind a baby with you. not if they got your pretty little smile (and, hopefully, something of his, too).

suguru didn't like when you didn't keep your back arched, he had a secret spot on your back that had you quivering and keeping your back arched whenever he pressed into it, a secret button if you will.
suguru wanted to make sure he was hitting every spot he could when he was inside of you, if you could cum on his dick in 10 seconds whether than 10 minutes then that is what he wanted, he didn't have time for you to hunch your back whenever he hit a spot, he wanted you to keep position.
if you asked him his pet peeve during sex then he would point right at you, don't get him wrong, he loved how sensitive you were to his touch, every touch of his making you jolt and whimper, it was cute, he loved it, but what he didn't love was instructing you on how to get back into position and to not move, so he found something that came in handy, his two thumbs.
whenever you were on all fours face down ass up, his hands would trail up your side and place both hands on your sides and slid his thumbs to your lower back where he would lightly press into you, your back arching more. once he found out that instead of hunching, you would arch your back more, he decided that's what he had to do to keep you in check.
suguru kept it very serious when it came to pleasing you, he didn't want the horrific words of “i didn't finish.” coming out of your mouth after he tried his hardest to. so if that meant pushing his thumbs into your lower back to keep you in position, then he would do that, but the results were amazing.
whining into the sheets as you finish all over his dick, your walls clenching around him and feeling his veins rub against them. he knew you didn't mind the way he did things, that's why he took advantage of it, even if he had to be rough with things.
sometimes he even got carried away when you were squeezing around him tightly, locking eyes on your back and seeing it lift, slowly pressing his thumbs into your back causing you to moan and arch your back-down again. he couldn't lose his nut, the way you were squeezing around him felt too good to give up, the more he got into it the more rough his thumbs got, pressing deeper into you.
another moan slipping past your lips as drool was creeping out the corner of your mouth, and your eyes rolled to the top of your eyelids, suguru pressing deeper inside of you. sex was always better with him when he got rough with things, his chest rising and falling as sweat slid down his forehead and little strands of hair stuck to his forehead.
the same routine of his thumbs pressing into your back as he reaches climax, his thumbs rising as he runs his hands over your ass and giving you a love tap. he meant well when he did these things because he knew you wanted to keep your back arched but the pleasure he was giving you was too much, but he had to keep you in position to make you cum.
he loved the way your ass popped out whenever your back was arched, it was so sexy he would literally drool at the mouth. your face hiding underneath your arm as he rubbed you down, he didn't just keep your back arched for the pleasure, but it was just aesthetically pleasing to look at you in that position.
remember… keep your back arched, keep your man happy.
