I'm gonna introduce my clone ocs finally.
I made a squad of what eventually ends up to be seven (haha, trippy number. We know chaos is to follow and not all of it is good, i'm afraid) I'm still coming up with a name for the squad, even after developing the story for almost a year and a half or so now.
The squad consists of:
Peak and Hellcat- technically consider themselves co-leaders but Hellcat lets Peak take the lead most of the time. They're completely inseperable and the rest of the squad thinks its crazy how they can just read eachother like open books
Blazewing- the pilot that scares everyone kriffless with his crazy, daringly reckless flying skills. He's a lot like canon Fives, very out going.
Jimbo- that one snarky little bastard that ya just cant get rid of. He's just there. Actually I'm kidding. He's quick thinking and good at strategy and stuff. Very discriptive of me.
Muskee- heavy gunner. He's a crazy man, but his crazy is more of a cover. He's actually pretty smart and very good at improvising.
Archer- sniper. (yup, very creative name, ik.) He actually preffers being IN the feild but he is a hell of a sniper. Blazewing's a good shot too, so sometimes he takes his place.
Mink- Medic. He stresses and stresses and worries and stresses bc the group does a hell of a lot of stupid things. Him and Archer are inseperable. They share trauma :( (Don't ask why there's technically two animal names. It just happened and it feels wrong to change it now.)

The Portland Inn Project
We believe in the power of art: as a tool in communicating our story; representing our needs and creating space for communities to learn. We advocate for people-led change, and champion the importance of art in leading that change, and in cooperation with public services.
We are looking for two board members via this callout who will fulfil a role on our board that responds to the following needs for our growing organisation with an ambitious arts programme and imminent capital programme.
Ø A person with expert knowledge and experience of capital projects, who can advise on financial aspects of the build, helping to ensure we get the best value for money on this project with a great quality output. They will also be able to identify relevant funding streams for our organisation.
Ø A person with experience (from an arts organisation perspective) of managing a building and creative programme. They will be able to advise us on how to manage these responsibilities and continue to deliver a community led programme of excellent quality and responsive arts activity.
The appointment of these individuals is happening via invitation and callout. In the recruitment of our board, we will be continuing our approach to representation and inclusion.
Get in touch via email to Rebecca (co-director) [email protected] for any questions you might have or to organise a phone conversation about the organisation. If you are interested, please email an explanation of your knowledge and experience and why you would like to be on our board, by FRIDAY 25 NOVEMBER. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS OPEN TO PEOPLE ACROSS THE UK! We look forward to hearing from you.
You can find out more about the building and our intentions for its use here > https://www.theportlandinnproject.com/programme/the-building/ and if you have any further questions that our website is unable to answer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Rebecca > [email protected]
Founded by two artists, Anna Francis & Rebecca Davies, in 2016, The Portland Inn Project CIC’s mission is to create an arts-led community-based organisation that makes vital change in our area. We aim to galvanise and deliver community cohesion, economic, social and cultural development in the streets where we live.
We are located in Hanley, Stoke On Trent, in a neighbourhood that experiences severe deprivation (top 10% most deprived LSOAS 814th of 32844). People here experience poor quality of life, poverty and exclusion from mainstream cultural provision, in a city where cultural engagement is extremely low. We have proven that our work can be both catalyst and support for culture to thrive in this challenging environment. Working in collaboration with other artists, arts organisations, designers and residents, we practice collaborative approaches to production and community action, involving the community in the growth of our arts organisation and development of a pioneering community space, the first of its kind in Stoke-on-Trent – offering a workshop space, a residency programme and community hub.
We hope to begin the capital programme next year, which means that we will be working closely with our architect and project manager Godson Egbo, to deliver an ambitious redevelopment of the derelict pub. With this development comes an increased responsibility for our organisation, as we oversee the build and continue to deliver an ambitious programme of activity for the community.
The purpose of the CIC is to provide opportunities, skills, and creative activities to improve quality of life in the local community, to manage a community building, increase active citizenship, combat social isolation and improve health and well-being via culture. A CIC is an accountable, flexible and appropriate form for the organisation’s current activities and immediate plans allowing the future option of applying for charitable status and/or developing co-operative social enterprise models that spin off from our core activities as our work and assets develop. The CIC currently has 2 named Executive Directors, founders Anna Francis and Rebecca Davies, and a third Non-Executive Director Nana Lyamgohn, a resident from the neighbourhood who brings experience in community leadership, to this role.
We have taken great care in designing and developing the structure and form of the organisation, intending it to be representative and responsive to the neighbourhood we are based in, and importantly, for organisation and programme to operate with a flexible, accessible and open approach to decision-making. A core concept underpinning this is our Community Decision-Making Panel. The Panel meets bi-monthly to support decision-making in critical areas of our work, and is made up of residents, team members, partners and representatives from local services including Stoke-On-Trent City Council’s Community, Anti-social Behaviour, Environmental and Housing teams.
The Advisory/Oversight board will be joined by the executive team for quarterly meetings at which finance, strategy, plans and risks are reviewed in line with our programme and funding aims and outputs.
Community Decision-Making Panel Meetings will continue to take place once every two months, online or as physical meetings on Portland Street. Going forward they will be convened by a newly appointed Chair - a new paid post which will co-ordinate the meetings, community intelligence, and lead on liaison with public service providers. 2 Community Decision-Making Panel members will attend Advisory Board meetings, serving in this capacity for a year at a time.
Once a year and in person, the CDMP, Advisory Board and executive meetings will coincide as a space to share ideas and plans - supporting the transparency of decision making and governance for our organisation.
Please see our website for more information about our wider programme

Chris hosting an intimate event honoring the poet Rumi’s 814th birthday in his recording studio in Malibu! On the photo Dr. Westchesterson, Jay-Z and Coleman Barks [x]
“We talked, swam, played music, read poetry and drove a golf cart into town for sandwiches. It was delightful. Coleman and I jammed a bit. He read while I improvised on the piano behind him About halfway through the show, Chris called me on stage and asked me to do a song. I wasn’t expecting this. Earlier in the day, Coleman and I were talking about Dylan Albums; specifically the basement tapes. So I took a run through “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” and had the pleasure of being accompanied by the amazing Jacob Collier.
At the end of the show I thanked Chris for his hospitality. He took a pin off his shirt with the word, “Love” on it, handed it to me and said, “Thank you, Marc- I want you to have this”.”

Sure, it's been #16 years since I sacrificed everything to #serve OUR country. But #honest to #god if I were given another #opportunity to serve as a #soldier un the @usarmy sign me the fuck up!!! I'll #sacrifice everything again. I miss the #military #life for real. I was never the #best Soldier, #always had to do #extra PT, #airborne shuffled my way through #company and #battalion runs. Perhaps I'm in worse shape, #physically now but that doesn't matter. If I were to be called upon, to step up again, send me off on the next plane out. That's a sacrifice @nike I'm willing to risk my #life overseas just like I did in Iraq in 2005. I'm not a #hero but I'm honored to know I've walked alongside many from 814th Engineers and the @usmarinecorps during #operation #iraqifreedom and #matador #realtalk #💯 #🇺🇸 @kaepernick7 didn't sacrifice his career. He chose opt out of his contract with the 49ers, an option as part of his restructured contract, therefore making him a free agent at the start of the 2017 league year. Prior to that decision, his field play wasn't up to par with the #winning #job #performance he was known for prior to his #nationalanthem protests. His #political #sjw bullshit got in the way of his $20 Million job performance. (at United States) https://www.instagram.com/p/BniS3z1lGyX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=esfqe6rct1sw

Fighting for Freedom in Hong Kong
By Gina Goh
01/15/2020 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – As a mother of two and a wife whose husband has been kidnapped and tortured by the Communist Party of China, Geng He understands all too well what the people of Hong Kong are fighting against.
Her husband, the prominent human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng, was once lauded by the Chinese Ministry of Justice as one of China’s top 10 lawyers. His collision with the communist regime began when he started providing legal aid to Christians, Falun Gong practitioners, and activists.
It has been over two years since Geng He has seen him.
When ICC spoke with her on November 5, she told us, “Today marks the 814th day of his disappearance. There still has been no news whatsoever with regards to his whereabouts.”
It started with the death threats, then it moved into harassment. For years, the family was monitored, harassed, and threatened by the government. Gao was even beaten by the authorities. In August 2006, Gao disappeared for the first time. He was accused of “subversion,” and sentenced to three years in prison.
Geng He and her two children managed to escape to the US in 2009, but they have never forgotten about their beloved husband and father.
In December 2011, Gao was imprisoned again for allegedly violating the conditions of his suspended three-year sentence. Although released from prison on August 7, 2014, he continued to be placed under house arrest until August 2017, when he disappeared again. He is believed to be held in an undisclosed location with no contact with the outside world.
The physical condition that her husband was in when Geng He last saw him was deplorable.
“Gao has lost at least six of his lower teeth, and is only able to eat porridge like an old man. What can he possibly do to the government? Yet he was forcibly taken away. Why does the government still fear him?” she raised her voice as she posed the question.
Even after Gao’s loved ones reached the land of the free, alas, their family members back home are still subject to surveillance and persecution. They are requested to sign in every month at a nearby police office, their IDs were confiscated to prevent them from leaving their town, and their family-owned factory was shut down and fined as “punishment” by association. For this, their family cut all communication with them in fear of more oppression.
The people of Hong Kong have been protesting since last June against an extradition law that could place prisoners like Gao in a vulnerable position at the hands of the regime. After the regime destroyed her family, Geng He decided to stand with them.
Geng’s own fate is inextricably entwined with this bill. Since she is seen by the Chinese government as a fugitive, the Hong Kong government could arrest and hand her to China to face an unjust trial if the bill is passed. “They cannot send people to an authoritarian China!” she protested.
The millions of Hong Kongers who took to the streets to fight for their rights and freedoms deeply touched Geng. “These Hong Kong people are facing a dark CCP regime, and they are using their own lives to ignite hope. Supporting Hong Kong means giving a window’s opening for a fallen China to breathe.” She continued, “The most meaningful thing in Hong Kong’s fight is to awaken all Chinese people.”
She spent four days on the streets of Hong Kong, running and shouting alongside young protesters. The will of Hong Kongers and their hearts for their land moved her to tears. “While the people still have the rights to protest on the streets, if they don’t step out and persist, their government will be like the CCP–doing anything it wants. […] If we don’t speak out today, tomorrow we will not be able to utter a word,” she said.
“The international community should lay its economic interest aside, Europe or the US alike. It needs to voice concerns on the ground of moral value. I hope that the Senate can pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act and investigate on Hong Kong police brutality,” she added.
Although it seems like the human rights situation in Hong Kong and China are both deteriorating, she told me, “We must insist, because we have nowhere to retreat. Only persistence to carry on this journey. You don’t know what could be the last straw to break this evil regime.”
She walked to the frontlines of this movement to make sure no one else will suffer like her, to support her missing husband who she knows would have done just the same, and to show that she, too, will not give in until his return.

The battle of brisbane is the single greatest australian story of ww2 and i am ashamed that my knowledge of it was as limited as it was until today
I mean just read how it started
on 26 November an intoxicated Private James R. Stein of the U.S. 404th Signal Company left the hotel where he had been drinking when it closed at 6:50 p.m. and began walking to the Post Exchange (PX) on the corner of Creek and Adelaide Street some 50m further down the road. He had stopped to talk with three Australians when Private Anthony E. O'Sullivan of the U.S. 814th Military Police Company (MP) approached and asked Stein for his leave pass. While Stein was looking for it, the MP became impatient and asked him to hurry up before grabbing his pass and arresting him. At this the Australians began swearing at the MP and telling him to leave Stein alone. American MPs were not well regarded by Australians because the Australians thought they were arrogant and used batons at the least provocation. When O'Sullivan raised his baton as if to strike one of the Australians, they attacked him. More MPs arrived, blowing whistles, while nearby Australian servicemen and several civilians rushed to help their countrymen
