I'm enjoying the mountain men more this time around, I admit. Season 2 was veeeeery difficult for me to get into because I found Clarke particularly aggravating there (and in season 3, but that one was more ~balanced in terms of characters getting their own storylines far away from her sphere of influence). I do agree with everything you say. And I like how there are ~echoes of them through the seasons.
One of my favourite antagonists has to be A.L.I.E.; obviously not really for her inner life (she had none lol), but for what she brought up in other characters and dynamics, especially everything pertaining Raven, Memori, Murphy (getting Indra and Pike to unite!)... that episode where alie!Raven taunts everyone is just *chef's kiss*.
Josephine would be on the other end of the spectrum, in that I just find her delightful regardless of season 6's weakness lmao. She's fun. She made Clarke fun. Kudos to her.
Other antagonists I enjoyed ended up becoming allies (Echo, Diyoza...).
IF I were to pick a favourite it'd be Octavia as Blodreina, though. I loved her, period. Season 5 is my favourite season for a lot of reasons, but she's at least near the top. I had endless sympathy for her, but I also just loved seeing her throw her weight around and how much raw *power* she had. I think I could've loved her fall from grace too, but. Season 6 DID have many weaknesses, even if I had my fun with it, and that was part of it, alas.
today was a stacked100 day soooo. tell me about your favourite antagonists in The 100? 👀
Lau!! Thanks for the ask ^^
I think my favorite antagonists might be the mountain men!
First of all the buildup to them?? The very scarce mentions of them in season 1 (especially when Lincoln warns Octavia about them omgggg). Absolutely did not see the reveal at the end of season 1 coming. When I tell you I was surprised, when that red gas appeared on screen and Anya said "mountain men" MY JAW WAS ON THE FLOOR!!!
So first of all kudos for the coolest antagonist reveal of the entire show imo
And I don't know. There's something tragic in the whole of season 2 with the mountain men. What they're doing is evil, but it's also rooted in the need to survive, which makes them very human. Over the season there are some truly evil characters but you also see people who accept what they have to do for their survival, and it's upsetting but also interesting. I wish we'd have gotten to see more of the mountain men and how they came to where they are when we see them.
Who are your favorite antagonists??

So you're mildly interested in The 100 but it's garbage and you just want the goods of fanfic?
said no one ever. but here we go
Cheater article
1900s : Mount Weather Emergency Operations center is constructed in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the United States as a military bunker.
2051 : Scientist Dr. Becca Franco, created an AI A.L.I.E. (Applied Lucent Intelligence Emulator), but turns out the AI is a eugenicist and subscribes to the thought of overpopulation, and that the greatest threats to humans (the mystery she was created to solve) is humans. Franco shuts that shit down. She retreats to her personal space station, Polaris, to continue studying, where she created a new A.I. dubbed A.L.I.E. 2 (and only compatible with a special blood compound she also created, called nightblood)
2052 : A.L.I.E. launches a worldwide nuclear strike to “save the human race” due to its calculation that there were “too many people.” She set out to solve the world’s overpopulation problem by eliminating enough of the human race to save the rest.
2054 : October 1st, the first Unity Day. 13 separate space stations from 12 separate nations (plus Franco’s) are trying to ride out the apocalypse that’s happening on the surface. The 12 stations are way too sus about Franco and how she made ALIE and Alpha Station shoots Polaris down. With her fall, the remaining 12 join as one and create The Ark - the supposed last bastion of human survivors.
PYSCH. Franco didn’t die with the rest of her station, she jettisoned in a little pod, shot up with Nightblood and having shoved ALIE 2.0 into the back of her neck at her brain stem (ALIE 2 being an implanted AI to better understand human emotions, unlike its predecessor who was a stand alone AI). She crashes to earth with the rest of the superhuman blood- i mean, nightblood, and tries to help the ppl who survived on the surface (everyone in space thought everyone else died). Her story becomes the legend of the First Commander and her technology becomes the foundation of the Grounder society, with the Nighblood passing through Grounders. A.L.I.E. 2.0 becomes "The Flame," a chip passed down and implanted through the generations of Grounder leaders called Commanders, which contains the memories of all Commanders before them.
2100-2149 : On the Ark, Abigail Griffin, Marcus Kane, Thelonius Jaha, Charles Pike are born and live in humanity's post-apocalyptic society in space.
The generation below them also grows up on the Ark, including Clarke Griffin, Bellamy and Octavia Blake, Monty Green, Raven Reyes, John Murphy, Jasper Jordan, Harper McIntyre, Finn Collins, Nathan Miller, and Wells Jaha, all of whom will make their way to Earth at the start of the series with the Delinquents.
On Earth, the Grounders become the descendants of Earth's human survivors, developing new languages, faith, and customs foreign to the pre-apocalypse world. 12 Grounder Clans emerge, as well as societies of nomadic grounders.
OK done with the condensed and relevant version of that article, now to the important plot.
Clarke is MC
Mom: Abby, head of medical clinic
Dad: Jake, head of engineering or smn
Chancellor: Thelonius Jaha
Wells: Chancellor’s son, clarke’s bff
Because they’re all part of the Elite Alpha Station, they don’t get a lot of acceptance from the others that are essentially considered lower class by default, so they tend to band together very clichishly
There are limited resources on the Ark, obvs, so shit like one kid only rule, food rations, recycling of  goods (like clothes), etc. That also means that all “crimes” are super detrimental and get you floated… into space. Death penalty style. Unless you’re a minor, then you get incarcerated until you’re 18 when you go through a revision and maybe you’re let back into populace or maybe they float you anyway
So
Jake finds out the Ark’s oxygen scrubbing system is in catastrophic failure. Like not just a little glitch but full failing. And there’s nowhere to run in space, so he tells Abby and suggests they tell everyone so everyone can be in on the decision of what to do moving forward. Abby is hesitant, and they bring it up to Jaha (Thelonius is Jaha, Wells is Wells) who immediately shoots it down - mass panic and all that. Jake still presses that they should Let The People Know and while that who whatever is going down, Clarke hears her dad talking about it. She stresses over it, confides in Wells about it, and then her father is floated for treason (recording a video he intended to release to the public about the failure). She is 17 and so they toss her in the Skybox (juvy) but gen pop gets visitation with the outside, so they put her in solitary for the rest of her sentence so she can’t blab.
Just before her 18th (revision hearing anticipated), guards bust in and haul her out. She flips, thinking they’re floating her early, probably starting in the Skybox to save on oxygen. But no, she sees her mom for a sec and she explains they’re sending down the kids in a dropship to test if earth is safe. It’s not projected to be for another few generations, but clarke knows there’s a time crunch. she knows the real why. They zap her and she wakes up on the dropship, descent already starting, and there’s… Wells? Goody Two Shoes Chancellor’s Son? the only other person she told about her dad. wtf yanno. He confesses to her he got arrested to get sent down on the Dropship with her. ok but didn’t you sell out her dad? Question Mark?
They have monitoring cuffs to relay their vitals to the Ark to see just how toxic earth is now. There’s supposed to be a radio but it gets fried in the rough landing. They go out and WOW EARTH! But they were supposed to be dropped on Mount Weather, uninhabited maybe, but should still be stocked with pre-war goodies. they’re also horny, stupid, delinquent teens so they just start dicking around and taking off their wristbands (fuck the Ark, they don’t get to know about us, they sent us on a suicide mission) and clarke is like. Hello? The Ark is dying. Pissbaby (Bellamy Blake) is like so what. Whatever the hell we want. And clarke is like uhhhhh do you know farming like the aptly named Farm Station? Do you know medicine? Tell me what you do know. Oh right, you were training to be a guard to keep your sister (a second child *gasp*) safe, you both got caught, she was iced, you got demoted to a janitor, and then the head of the guards was like “shoot jaha and i’ll get you on that dropship” and so you did. What a Big Bad Boy. boring. But he knows how to appeal to the rest of the delinquents, and so he’s effective.
So they try to actually survive (food, water, shelter, under clarke’s direction mostly) because maybe they don’t hate everyone on the Ark. clarke gets some of them to head out towards mount weather, just to see what they could benefit from. but on their way there, one of them gets speared. Holy shit there are people living on the ground! And then the rest of them get their ass in gear and try to actually survive. people start dying, surprise surprise, they get panicked by the threat of people already established on the land they were told was their birthright and by the fact that they’re woefully underprepared. also Super Charming Space Walker Finn is hitting on clarke and she’s kinda into it because wow. hormones. there’s also this acid fog that rolls through sometimes and boils the skin off their bones.
One time, she’s running from it with Finn and Wells and they find an old, mostly buried car to hide out in.
Canonically, she hops in with them to flirt and brood and drink.
Canonically, she goes with them back to the rest of the delinquents and the Dropship.
Canonically, she is Skaikru (the Grounder word for People Of The Sky) and is treated as such.
But also like. Canon is garbage anyway
And instead, we were gifted with KL Morgan
And KL Morgan gifted us with Destruction
And then for more canonical aus, we have KL Morgan (again ofc) with The Lay of the Looking Glass Land - it does take up further into canon so this blurb wouldn't be sufficient

Note
I’m so sorry but I forgot to put this in my original ask
Octavia Blake from the 100
a few more important details:
She has the highest kill count in the entire show (this is undisputable and I can explain why to anyone who thinks otherwise)(except for A.L.I.E but she doesn’t really count)
But she has also saved the entire human race twice-
That poll has already posted. You can reblog it with the additional information if you want.

The Butterfly Effect
read it on the AO3 at https://ift.tt/HkiaceV
by 1AwkwardGoat
Clarke’s trip to the City of Light doesn’t go as planned. Becca greets her with the news that if she doesn’t pull a lever and reset the time-loop to before the bombs were dropped, A.L.I.E will destroy the entire world and all of humanity. But if Clarke does this, there’s no guarantee that she and Lexa will meet in the new world she creates. Or, is there? When a butterfly flaps its wings everything can change.
* * *
This is not a time-travel story. Instead, each chapter is a different vignette showing the world that is created after Clarke "resets" the world. The chapters can stand alone and do not need to be read in order, but I do recommend reading the prologue first for some additional background. No major tags or warnings apply to any of the chapters. If there are trigger warnings for a specific chapter, I will note that in the author's notes at the start of that chapter.
Words: 684, Chapters: 1/?, Language: English

THE 100 ⇢ 3x08 | TERMS AND CONDITIONS
What else could Monty have used as a password? You mean other than the 500 ideas I've already come up with? Just think. Don't overanalyse. Whatever it takes, Jasper. Just keep trying. What's Monty's favorite color? Green. It's a joke. 275 iterations, not it. Favorite book. "Catcher in the Rye." Where do those ducks go, anyway? Keep trying.

So I’ve been watching the 100 and I’m partway through season 3, I have a couple things on my mind… does Murphy ever get to a point where people aren’t using him as a punching bag? I didn’t like him at first, now I just feel sorry for him. Monty is gonna need some major therapy (they all do really) Jaha and Alie are getting on my last damn nerve. I am genuinely very upset about Lincolns death.

What we found
Parings: John Murphy/ OC
Warnings: mentions of blood
Chapter: eleven
Cora
I sat up with a groan, gripping my head as the dimly lit room I was in started to spin.
Murphy kneeled beside me. "Hey, take it easy. You’ve had a nasty fall."
Fall? I couldn’t remember falling. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I realised I was inside a cave, and the only light was coming from a small fire. "How did I get here?"
"John carried you," Emori said before sitting down beside me. "Do you remember anything that happened?" I shook my head. "You saved us from reapers."
"And took a beating in the process," I snorted. It wasn’t the first time that I’d been beaten in a fight, and I doubted it would be the last. It was strange that a reaper knocked me out but left me alive.
I raised my hand to scratch my neck and almost screamed when I felt something move. Frantically, I began shaking my hair, watching the different twigs and dried leaves fall out. My face began to burn as I felt embarrassed. "I thought it was a bug."
Murphy smirked as Emori continued to stare at me with a worried look. "You were asleep for a long time. I was starting to think you wouldn’t wake up."
"Oh, thanks for not leaving me to die." Neither of them replied, and we sat in awkward silence. "What are you guys doing here anyway? I thought you wouldn’t be back in Polis."
Murphy shared a look with Emori before he answered. "We didn’t want to be tied down."
"Fair enough."
Emori stood up, "I’ll get you some water."
Once she walked to the other side of the cave, and began rummaging inside her bag, Murphy turned to face me and spoke quietly, "I know."
Puzzled, I raised my brows. "You know what?"
"I saw your blood."
Oh fuck. Chills spread through my body as his words sank in. I leaned forward, "Does Emori know?"
He shook his head. "No, but you owe me an explanation."
"I owe you nothing," I snapped.
"I risked my life trying to get you back to camp."
I turned away from him and smiled at Emori when she handed me a bottle of water. I found it odd that Murphy dropped the subject when his girlfriend sat back down beside us. I had just assumed he would have told her. Luckily for me, he didn't. I couldn’t tell either of them anything, they would just betray me. Everyone always did.
Murphy
"You said there'd be food here."
Emori leaned her head back against the wall, and let out a sigh. "There should be. These woods have always been good to me. Now there are not even bugs."
"Well, fortunately, I'm not hungry enough for that to be upsetting yet." I grimaced at the thought. "I actually kind of miss Polis. They had this drink there-sweet, made out of sheep's milk-"
Emori shot me a look, "Ontari gave this to you?"
"Yeah... I told you it wasn't all bad."
What did she expect me to say? No. The food was terrible? I wasn’t going to lie to her.
"You told me you were trying to survive." The tone of Emori’s voice through me. She was mad at me.
"I was."
"What else wasn’t bad?" She asked, turning to face me. "John, sex?"
The question made me feel physically sick. I’d already made it clear I didn’t like anything that happened. Why couldn’t she be more understanding? Why didn’t she believe me when I said all I wanted was to be back with her? I glanced over at Cora, who was pretending to sleep. "Emori," I sighed quietly. "I don't want to talk about this."
"Fine. Then let's not."
Standing I dusted off some of the dirt that was sticking to my clothes. "I didn't have a choice, ok? Emori. I didn't have a choice."
She looked up at me and panicked, "Where are you going?"
"I'm gonna go to Arkadia."
"What? Why?"
I shrugged, "I'm a better thief than I am a hunter."
"I'll come with you."
Emori looked hurt as I shook my head. "No. I'll draw less attention alone,"I pointed over to Cora.
"One of us needs to stay here with her."
"John…"
"It’s our fault she got hurt," I squeezed Emori’s shoulders. "She saved our lives, then we saved hers. I’m sure she’ll want to go back to wherever it was she was going in the first place."
A part of my hope was that what I said was true. The other part? The part I was desperately trying to ignore, wanted to know everything about her.
Emori
I watched in silence as Cora continued to chop at her hair with a knife she had pulled from her boot, before throwing the braids into the fire. It was strange, but I had a feeling her actions had a meaning behind them.
The light from the fire only illuminated the small scars that covered her face and neck. Remembering what John had told me about her, my stomach began to turn. The way she had healed her own wounds while they hid in the bunker sounded agonising. I understand Cora did what she had to, but I personally don’t think I could have. I opened my mouth to ask her about it, but stopped when I heard footsteps.
"Oh, finally." Seeing John approaching, I went towards him and threw my arms around him. I knew he was capable of looking out for himself, but I still worried.
He pulled back from me with a worried expression on his face, "Emori."
"John, what's wrong?"
"It looks like we may need my people, after all." He gulped down. "There's a storm coming. When it hits, we need to be on the right side of that door."
Oh god, this definitely wasn’t part of our plan. "So we make ourselves useful."
"Yeah. Yeah, exactly. I've already started working on Abby. Come on. I'll explain on the way." He glanced over at Cora, who still hadn’t lifted her head. "What is she doing?"
Cora was now running her fingers through her tangled, messy hair that stopped just under her ears. I leaned into him and whispered so Cora wouldn’t hear me. "She’s been like this since she woke up."
"Has she said anything?"
I shook my head. I didn’t want to feel paranoid, but I didn’t like John's genuine concern in his voice. We hardly knew this girl and he cared more about her welfare than most people he grew up on the ark with.
John took a few steps forward. "Cora, I think you should come back with us."
Cora scoffed, "No thanks. I’ll take my chances in the cave."
"Bellamy’s been looking for you."
Finally, lifting her head, Cora looked up at us with a wide-eyed expression. "You spoke to him?"
"No," John let out a sound of frustration. "I spoke with Abby, and she told me he was asking you before meeting some spy from ice nation."
"Fine," Cora stood. "We should go before it gets dark."
John looked disappointed. I wasn’t sure if it was because Cora was leaving with us, or how her face lit up when he mentioned Bellamy.
Notes: I love Emori as a character, and hate that I’m dragging her into a love triangle. But never fear, I’m going to write her an alternative happy ending
