probably countless that i do not remember right now! but digging around through my drafts, i've got a few deltarune daemon aus that won't ever see the light of day...one of them was a fangame where the player played as one of kris's two daemons, and the other was a fic where ralsei was kris's daemon. the ideas from there have basically been repurposed elsewhere--a lot of my kris&ralsei stuff went into various works, and the fangame stuff is being reworked into the dess raises kris au.

beyond that, in terms of things that are actually abandoned and won't be used elsewhere, there are so many daemon aus that i've left behind for one reason or another, though the gravity falls transcendence au is the one that i think was the best...that one postcanon his dark materials fic i was gonna write where lyra and pan return to will's world and cause general shenanigans there with him and kirjava...a vera-centric son of sea foam wings of fire au because vera is the love of my life and i was rereading wings of fire bc i felt nostalgic....oh my god fantasy high SOPHOMORE YEAR FIC, which i tried to start TWICE, once from fig's pov and once from ayda's that was their road trip back home and i have some very funny snippets from...MY INFINITY TRAIN DAEMON AU WAIT THAT ONE STILL GOES SO HARD ACTUALLY. okay drop everything ive ever said the fact that i never wrote my infinity train book two daemon au is a travesty. i was cooking with that one.

11. Do you have specific playlists for writing fics?

sort of! i usually always have at least one or two songs i connect to any given fic, but in terms of what i listen to when actually WRITING, it's changed over the years. i used to put on compilations of video game music--usually utdr, pmd, and then just whatever got recommended to me lol--then i did like. those character playlists people make on youtube? mostly bc they tended to pull from the same pool of songs so it became good background noise lol. now i use the youtube mix or whatever its called for a similar reason--it tends to play the same handful of songs ive listened to a lot, so they dont distract me.

14. If you could see one of your fics adapted into a visual medium, such as comic or film, which fan fic would you pick?

oh i LOVE this question, and it would be without a doubt my nimona daemon au oh, are you at all like me. nimona itself is obviously both a comic and a movie, and i'd say animated film since the fic follows the movie plot more--i think there'd be a LOT of really cool scenes you could get with that fic. i also think i could make killer animatics based on my fics if i could draw good enough <3 and thats not a joke i have scripts and sketch storyboards and everything. maybe one day i'll finish one of those.

Awase - he somehow manages to sound like a dieing pig, and a acream at the same time but somehow his voice can be really good in certain situations

Sen - his voice is okay but he cant hold a note to save his life

Kamakiri - he doesnt really sing as much as he screams...

Kuroiro - he tries to make the lyrics all dark and edgy but he just ends up sounding like the black crayon from the crayon song. If ykyk

Kendo - shes above average in singing skill and shes a bit more confident than most. She has more range with higher notes though.

Kodai - she has a softer voice than most and is overall a kinda shy singer but its really good.

Komori - shes always up beat and energetic when she sings. She always puts her whole heart into every note and does her best no matter what.

Shiozaki - acapella or whatever that really slow church type of singing is called lol

Shishida - he definitely has a more 'old school' singing style but he sounds a lot better than people would think. Though its hard for him to hold a note for most newer songs

Shoda - hes very quiet and shy when he sings alone and hes kinda bland but when hes singing with someone (like background vocals) he can really bring out their voice.

Pony - shes always happy and upbeat when she sings. Its a bit harder for her to sing slower songs because of that but shes definitely above average voice wise.

Tsubaraba - he has a good voice but he only sings meme songs... he will sing 'the actual cannibal shia leabouf' with his whole heart in such a serious tone (idk if thats how you spell his name but whatever lmao)

Tetsutetsu - he puts his entire soul into the song just to sound like a dieing cow... but he does have passion

Tokage - she pours so much emotion to every song she sings. Shes definitely best for those songs that are supposed to bring tears to the audiences eyes.

Manga - hes way too dramatic for his own good. During any song he sings hes throwing himself around and putting his soul in every note... its kinda funny to watch tho. His voice itself is kinda average though

Honenuki - hes calm and has a good voice but is overall, kinda akward when he sings. Hes too focused on hitting the right notes to be overly dramatic.

Bondo - he has a deeper voice and is better at being the background vocals for some of the more high pitched students. Hes overall better at being a bass than anything else (music kinda bass not the fish)

Monoma - hes the token theater kid. He sings well and he puts his entire soul into every single note.

Reiko - shes good at singing higher notes but the lower she goes the harder it is for her to hold a note (or even make a sound)

Rin - hes pretty average when it comes to singing but he can easily switch languages in the middle of a verse to make it sound a bit cooler. That also makes it to where some songs only he (pony and honenuki) can preform

Sans believes that “the anomaly” is doing all of this for SOME reason, subconsciously or not. Maybe they’re just missing something in their life, and thinking this will all fill their void??

But…In an ending where you’ve killed way too many people/Papyrus, I imagine Sans cant exactly justify whatever reason he believes the anomaly has anymore.

So, the wording “left me on the line with all your baggage” is him basically saying “you took out all your personal problems on people that were not in any way involved, and ruined my entire life. what the hell, man?”

Then the rest of that verse carries that same vibe/meaning.

Oh Golden Boy, You Shined A Light On Your Home. And At Your Best, You Were Magic, I Was Sold.

This part then takes place in the Pacifist route. At your BEST. When Sans has the most hope that the anomaly has found what it’s looking for.

Ofc, Sans doesnt REMEMBER anything you did, but the proof of time jumping seems to leave him with the same impression. (Also he’s pretty confident you’re responsible just cause of your expressions n all that) He even says so himself in the geno route that ORIGINALLY, before the routes you decide to go on/the humans appearance, hes always believed/wanted to believe whatever/whoever was causing this just wanted to be happy.

So in this ending, he’s hopeful that you’ve found whatever you’re looking for! he was sold…

But Don’t Tell ‘Em What You Told Me, Don’t Even Tell ‘Em That You Know Me. Id Rather Hurt Forever.

This line then switches to a potential Roommate Toriel Neutral Ending

“Don’t tell em you told/know me” referring to how he wants to keep what happened with Papyrus secret from Toriel,

“Id rather hurt forever” being an add/on to that: him preferring suffering in silence over Toriel feeling responsible for what happened.

THEN! LAST VERSE! This one is just tying everything up we’ve already discussed in a nice bow, but we still gotta digest it in chunks-

But You Should Know, That I Died Slow. Running Through The Halls Of Your Haunted Home.

BACK TO THE GENO ROUTE! Sans is dying/dead-

“running through halls of your haunted home” is kinda perfect for Chara though since…this home WAS theirs, and it is currently very haunted- with them and Asriel dying there- n all that….

And The Toughest Part Is That We Both Know What Happened To You. Why You’re Out On Your Own.

At this point of Sans laying down in The Judgment Hall, accepting death, he’s also accepting defeat. You both know why you’re doing this. That “Why” being….nothing. There was no reason, you just COULD. Thats why you’re “On your own” (in this game ofc this is not a personal attack-)

AUUGH. The whole gang is celebrating Christmas in the Pacifist Route, but transitioning to a leaderless ending where only Sans remains, on the phone and saying his farewells to the thing that destroyed his world.

BUT YEAH! I really like considering this whole thing from Sans’ lense, cause honestly I DON’T believe he’s that nihilistic! Yeahh its a super horrible and soul crushing situation- and it is hard to “give it your all” when you have iron clad evidence that everything you’ve ever done/will do will just repeat and go on and on, not having true consequences, therefore, not matter.

But… if him not giving a shit were the case, why would he do ANYTHING he does??

He still shows up for the people he cares about/care for him, thats the main thing. He does things that matter to HIM, things that make him happy. He enjoys his life to the fullest. If the day is repeating, why not make that day the best day of your life??

And ive already went over how he sees you. I dont think he…likes?? you persay?? at least definitely NOT in endings where you clearly are killing people to see what will happen- but he has FAITH, hope, even. That you’ll do the right thing…..Eventually.

side note: I also know Sans and Papyrus are absolutely contradictions of each other for interesting dynamic/slapstick reasons- but they’re also REALLY SIMILAR??? Flowey is a reflection of the player… and Papyrus has faith in HIM! Idk, i also just think the connections between a lot of characters are really interesting!

Some concert thoughts

So i saw Rise Against live last week and i've been (unsuccessfully) trying to write a post about it so here are some thoughts in no particular order:

I spent the whole evening standing at the barrier, inching closer to the center every time people moved around between sets, still ended up on the side, view was great though

During give it all Tim came down to the barrier in the other side so i basically couldnt see at all (😭), BUT he came down again during savior and stopped right in front of me on my side, so i had a moment of me and Tim just smiling at each other from different sides of the barrier wich was amazing!!!

Also i just realised then how small Tim is? Like i was standing in the metal things?? on the floor at the barrier and idk how even the ground was on the other side, but i stared right over the top of his head for the first moment because i was looking straight ahead ooops 😅

They did play a new song!!! And by that i mean they played the song, i spent the whole time trying to match the melody to something in my head to sing along and then Tim went "that was a new Song btw"

So i cant tell you much about it because i dont remember a single word from it, but it did sound amazing!!

New Album when

I loved how clearly you could hear the backing vocals!!

The last time a saw them i couldnt hear them at all, but the acoustics in that place were a bit weird so maybe thats just me?

They played a lot of songs from the sufferer and the witness wich ist my fav rise against album so that was great, especially loved hearing worth dying for live for the first time.

BUT i also love the newer stuff and it kinda sucks that it doesnt get played much (yeah i know everyone wants to hear the old hits especially at Festival shows), i REALLY loved nowhere generation for example and i would LOVE to hear those songs live

The concert was on August 10th, wich was the 20th anniversary of siren song of the counter culture wich was kinda cool.

Im bad at remembering dates, so while i knew that the album turned 20 this year i had no idea it was on that day until Tim said it.

I also had no idea that it was called siren song of THE counter culture and had been calling it just siren song of counter culture all these years so maybe im just a bit dumb ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

A bug landed on Tims shoulder, he picked it up and talked about how it really feels like summer when bugs land in you, and how they have the same bugs in chicago and it feels like theres a bit of home there

Tim forgot the second verse of ready to fall and just sang nonsense words to the melody, and i thought how thats actually really really impressive that he can just...do that. And that i wish i had the confidence to just sing anything when i forget the words.

Like 30 or 40 minutes later i forgot the words to the 2nd verse of audience of one and just screamed nonsense words along to it so that didnt take me long 🤣

I hurt my shoulder. Again. Didnt even go in the pit.

you're on your own kid -- if midnights gave us one good thing it was this song. holy shit. i can't believe she didn't release this as a single and do like, a career retrospective style music video for it -- i feel like that could've been so beautiful. that instrumental that comes before the final chorus/bridge just FEELS like a montage waiting to happen (side note but thats what i always wish she'd leaned more into with midnights -- she could've done so much cool stuff with the "career retrospective" aspects of that album, which would've dovetailed so nicely with the eras tour/rerecording eras -- and instead it was like, 70s night aesthetic? idk i just wish she'd really leaned into the whole "exploring my past through my present lens" part of midnights bc like, yeah that was cool!! idk why you didn't talk about that more actually!)

seven -- what an insane song. like the whole first verse is just perfection to me lyrically and her like wistful vocals in the high register over that gorgeous piano line... perfection. no notes. perfect song

holy ground -- sorry but the re recording of this song sucks, but the original is so good. those driving drums, the backing vocals in the final chorus, the ... desperation in her voice -- i love it!! and it has some amazing lyrics -- i love "while having coffee all alone" (wonderful image that ties so sweetly into begin again "on a wednesday in a cafe" -- like on red, we go from the lovers being together but hidden from the world in state of grace "we are alone just you and me, up in your room and our slates are clean" and alone in the kitchen in all too well "dancing in the kitchen in the refrigerator light" and then she kind of emerges out into the world in holy ground in that coffee all alone line, and then by the end she meets someone new but they're in a cafe together -- idk i just kinda love that progression) and also the line "back when you fit my poems like a perfect rhyme" being a perfect rhyme with "time" -- it's so clever and cool. love that one too (holy ground and state of grace are like sisters to me tbh, being the best songs on red and they kind of speak to each other -- i mentioned the alone/together part but there's also "i'm walking fast through the traffic lights" vs. "took off faster than a green light go" which is also a connection i love.)

invisible string -- i can't quite believe i didn't include it in my original list. it might be my favorite song she's ever written. also the guitar they use on the recording is so cool, i loved getting to see it in the long pond sessions. "time, mystical time, cutting me open and healing me fine" is just <33333 so beautiful

this love -- i feel like this love doesn't get enough credit for how much work it’s doing on 1989 because it's more understated but i just think it's SO BEAUTIFUL. i've said before it ties together so much of the 1989 imagery and has so many callbacks to other songs but still stands alone so beautifully -- like all the water imagery tying into clean but the "lantern burning" connecting to all the fire/flames on 1989.... so perfect. the comparison of a lover coming and going to the tide... obsessed?? and "been losing grip on sinking ships" / "loose lips sink ships all the damn time" and "struggled through the night with someone new" / "you been out and about with some other girl [...] i been there too a few times" and "this love is alive back from the dead" / "stand there like a ghost shaking from the rain" and "in silent screams and wildest dreams" / "say you'll see me again even if it's just in your wildest dreams" ugh I COULD GO ON (and on on and on AND I WILL) -- i love that songggggggg

What do you think of [Haruka] and why? - i never talk about him that much because i'm not too well-versed in his character, but i love him soo much as a character he's so coollllll!!! i think he's one of the best depictions of an intellectual disability or disability in general i've seen in fiction. his whole "compared child" & envy-driven murder aspect is also something i realllyy enjoy about his character. this isn't a haruka-exclusive thing, but i also like how they tricked us initially with a "perfect victim" narrative and then threw that out once his verdict was granted ♥️ he's the perfect opening prisoner for milgram

5. What do you think of [Mikoto]'s song/s? - i have >11k listens on their songs i sure wonder...... anyway I really really REALLY like them and am obsessed with their genre-fuckery. every since the new year hit I got late night energy and womanly opinions, ppl was on the bird app talking about how everybody calls ppl siblings in kpop when kdolls are different genders and i was thinking how ppl call kai and bada siblings and lil sis + big bro

ppl so desperate to throw any proof of kpop dudes being around attractive women into some kumbaya they are family. kpop wasn't only meant to be ear candy and nice dances it was to keep the youth trusting the people in power and focused on idols rather than what was going in the country like crazy work hours, chaebols and unfair imbalance of power. Being that there is an american military base in seoul for decades no korean could go inside its clear its deeper than any individuals preferences.

Also take into consideration many trainees are underage, threatened with being kicked out if they are caught dating the opposite gender, watched by managers and staff 24/7 kept away from their parents, most have about a 6th grade education because they spent a majority of their time training. So if all that isn't proof enough that the yaoi culture kpop thrives off of is not about love at all but about psychological manipulation fr its very roots idk what else I can say. But really idc what people believe but don't act like the company is against your ship they groom those boys and girls in every sense of the word. Really and truly I believe he's stuck at the age he was when his parents pushed him to be famous when he was a cute ballerino that people mistook for a girl that got lots of attention from other kids and older girls.

Anyone can be feminine but people have used certain idols being tomboys or nontraditionally masculine as ultimate proof of things they have nothing to do with. Early they teach them to go to one another and managers for comfort instead of seeking outside people. I'm not saying America or the west is perfect but more people gotta wakeup. Male western popstars date and marry and still have a career but kpop idols gotta fight to stay alive even if they have western fans. Fandoms aren't full of sherlock holmes they purposely put clues for ships if you didn't notice.
