STAR WARS REBELS APPRECIATION WEEK: Day #4 - Favorite Season

As hard as it was to choose a season, it was easy to realize why the first one means so much to me. Season one feels like home. It's familiar; it's warm; it's uplifting. It showed all the potential in the settings, the characters, their dynamics, and overarching story that ultimately was delivered in its finale. There's so much heart and spirit in this season's beginnings that exemplified what Star Wars should be at its core. Thank you to the creative team that worked on this show and Happy 10th Anniversary, Star Wars Rebels. 🫶

It's ok! I like talking about how I came about choosing it :)

Basically when I first started my transition, I initially just did the male version of my deadname. The unfortunate thing about that though is that it is very similar to a DIFFERENT female name, so it often got mispronounced as that and I would get misgendered anyways.

Then, I got really into WTNV and ended up naming myself after Cecil... But to be quite frank, Cecil is far too cool of a name for me. It did not fit at ALL and I fell out of my WTNV phase, so I was feeling especially disconnected from the name.

Eventually I said "fuck it" and just made a whole list of common male names to choose from, posted it to FB to get my friends opinions, and eventually narrowed it down to either Toby or Todd.

I was in a big Creepypasta phase at the time, and while Ticci Toby was my favorite character, I was sick of naming myself after other characters and decided on Todd. And I'm very glad I did! I think it suits me really well and I've been rocking it ever since :)

Coming to the realisation that every single reed POV angst fic i've written is OOC, because reed is much more unhinged than i previously thought. He doesn't get jealous of Tesilid, he doesn't mourn a life that could have been his, because he's just so full of confidence that Ailette will like him. He can take his time, he can flirt and get rebuffed all the time without getting mad, because he's going to get what he wants eventually, anyway; he's just playing with his food. He's completely delusional, I love him so much.

You know with Mine alive that's three people now who didn't really die in Y3, the other two being Kashiwagi and Lau Ka Long. I honestly don't mind but it is getting kinda funny. Is Kanda going to turn up next? Was Y3 just Daigo's coma dream and none of it actually happened? Would explain how the orphanage was rebuilt so fast.
