my personal hc for the dark urge is that the urges were used as like a training tool while durge was growing up. like a shock collar conditioning a dog into being submissive
#im sure this has been said#but i love the idea#bc after durge loses all their memories they dont just have the horrible thoughts but they also act on some of them without even realizing#thats pure pavloving baby#they were Trained to obey the urges and if they did not obey immediately then they were punished#with the terrible headaches or losing what little autonomy they had and being actually forced to kill someone#nature vs nurture for the dark urge discussion topic#what im saying is dark urge didnt Choose to worship bhaal they were Born to serve bhaal#as his little well trained pet#all this to say i love durge so dearly im putting them in my pocket#hawke.txt
