So yeah, I'm leaving sux again. The only difference is this time I'm pretty sure I'm not coming back. I just don't have the time or the interest to be at sux anymore, you know? I love you guys, but I feel selfish keeping Liana when I don't have time for her. School comes first, and this year school is really hitting it hard. You're all awesome, and I've said it before the last time I left but seriously, everyone here is amazing because you've all been so nice to me and my characters. I'll keep this short  because I'm sure there's nothing I can say here that I haven't said in my last one and there's no point in repeating, but know I love you guys, alright?
Thank you for being great and nice and all around lovely.
See y'all around, xoxo- gossip alice

As each minute past ten rolled by, Liana felt her heart drop. She didn't want to believe that Ernie wasn't coming, but of course he wasn't coming, of course. She leaned her head against the wall beside her, deciding she was going to wait just a few more minutes for Ernie. 8 minutes had passed since Ernie was supposed to arrive, and slowly Liana rose from the step she was sitting on. She played with the sleeves on her sweater, not sure what to do, but then she heard the knock and she almost jumped.
She moved quickly to open to door, not even bothering to check who it was, because she knew it had to be Ernie. It had to be. She swung the door open, her eyes falling onto the boy and felt a smile creep onto her face as he smiled too. "A whole ten minutes." She said quietly in response, trying not to smile, but as he presented the roses to her, she couldn't help it. She brought a hand to her face to hide her grin and looked back up at Ernie. "You got me roses?" She said in mild disbelief.
Begin Again || Ernie and Liana
Walking over to Liana’s gave Ernie a lot to think about. Before, he’d had no clue how she felt about him but once she told him the most awful feeling invaded the pit of his stomach. He’d been leading the girl on and there was no excuse for that other than the fact he had no idea. Honestly, it was an awful excuse so he’d decided not to try and excuse himself at all and just take what he deserved. In the beginning, Ernie had thought space between them would be a good idea but throughout the days and the drama that had been going on, he just needed someone there as a constant and there was no-one better than Liana. With her sunny smile and positive attitude, she was like a star to Ernie.
Knocking on her door, Ernie felt anxious. He half expected her to open it and just slap him and for the most part, he wouldn’t blame her. Shuffling the bouquet in his hands, he waited for the door to open. He’d bought her some yellow and pink roses since the lady in the shop said that yellow meant ‘I’m sorry’ and he thought she’d appreciate pink. It was the least he could do for the girl since he felt so awful. As the door opened a smile fell on his face. “Li..I’m sorry I’m late but I uh..I stopped by to get these” the boy explained, gently presenting the flowers to her.

Begin Again || Ernie and Liana
What was she doing? This was weird, this was so weird. The moment Liana hung up the phone her thoughts went into hyperdrive and for a second she could barely breathe. Everything about this was shouting 'No' at her, but she had to admit it. The last two weeks had felt upsettingly empty, and she did want Ernie back, whether it be just as friends or... whatever it was they were. She liked Ernie a lot, more than she was happy to admit, and during that phone call, she realized that she had never been on the other end. For the longest time she's been the one turning people down, but it was never her that got turned down, and to put it simply-- it sucked.
Liana only got about two minutes to over-think again before realizing that Ernie was going to be at her house in less than ten minutes, and she looked like a mess. The call had been unexpected, and at the time Liana was in her PJs, hair in a bun and watching New Girl. She stared blankly at the frozen screen for a few seconds before deciding she would leave it, realizing she didn't have time to shower or to do anything with her hair, but she was grateful that at least she hadn't bothered to wash off her makeup.
She sat on the steps by the door, waiting for the knock that would indicate Ernie had arrived. Liana had no idea how the rest of the night would play out, but she was hoping it wouldn't be terrible.

Call to Liana
Ernie: We can try? Li, I'll prove to you that our friendship means a lot to me. I can do that! In fact, I'll be over in ten to dry your tears, okay? No more crying on a beautiful face, yeah?
Liana: You don't have to-- [hiccup]-- do that.

Call to Liana
Ernie: Yes, Li?
Liana: I don't know anymore. I really really want to go back to how things were, and we can try, but it's weird and I'm still... I'm still crying and it's just-- I don't know anymore.

Call to Liana
Ernie: And please, if it means anything..the kisses we shared and all that time together. I felt something and that's why I kept coming back.
Liana: [Voice shaky] Ernie...

Call to Liana
Ernie: *sighs exasperatedly* Li, you're not the only one who's been thinking. See, you've been on my mind so much. Do you know how hard it is to try and look at my phone and not text you or call you? Really hard.
Liana: [silence while she starts to tear up.]

Call to Liana
Ernie: So? So we won't kiss, or hug eachother. But that's all? Why else can't we go back? Things have only changed a little. Please, don't do this.
Liana: It'll be weird. I'll be weird.

Call to Liana
Ernie: I-I don't..*pauses* Liana, when you told me that the only reason I stopped seeing you was because I never wanted to hurt you. Hanging out with you has always been fun, just being around you is fun. I just..miss you.
Liana: And I miss you, Ernie. But we're not gonna be the same and we both know it.

Call to Liana
Ernie: Because..*searches for the right words* because when I needed someone you were always there. Because when I wanted someone, you were the first person I thought of.
Liana: But you are the person I've thought of /every day/ for the past two months Ernie. And in the past two weeks, I've had more than enough time to reevaluate what we were and I'm still not sure what it was. I pined over you for so long only to get my hopes high and come crashing back down, and it was my fault. Were we really best friends, Ernie? Because I feel like it might have just been me having a super insane crush on you and you mistaking it for friendship.

Call to Liana
Ernie: *bites his lip* We're best friends is what we are. I want to give you more than that but I can't. But I don't want that to be the reason that I can't see you.
Liana: [Shakes her head] But that's exactly it! Why are we best friends? Because we have things in common? Because of a dinosaur nugget exchange? Because I patched you up when you were hurt?

Ernie: *falls onto his bed, a pained sigh coming from him* Li, please. I can't stand this. This is not us.
Liana: [nervous] Then what are we?

Ernie: I'd give anything to just hear you talk again. Rant at me. Shout at me. Anything, Li.
Liana: I'm not gonna do that.
