actually in my fanon chris does die at the end of 6, yah. he passes the mantle on to piers (who is the protagonist of not a hero in 7!). it has sort of a ripple effect though, since chris is an important person, especially in the lives of the main characters. after his death, jill returns to regular work in the b.s.a.a. and frequently partners with piers on duo missions. claire is devastated as you would expect, but she and steve (who is alive in my fanon) rely on one another for support, since she and chris basically took him in as a younger brother figure after cv.

lucas survives the end of not a hero, since there’s no blowout boss fight. piers subdues him since he’s a slim and not very physically capable twenty something and does his job rather than go on a revenge mission, a lesson he learned from chris. since a revenge mission is what killed chris, in the end. also, a LOT of 6 is rewritten in my fanon (VERY much a wip) but chris’ whole vendetta against “ada” is totally different. leon is very much suspect of carla in the first place, considering he’s known ada for 20+ years. helena is also not a willing participant in bioterrorism, and jake’s story is intertwined with alex. sherry gets to have a bigger role considering it’s her return after re2. ada actually clears her name from carla’s crimes, instead of just.. pretending it was actually her? bad writing 101.

anyway, lucas gets rehabilitated by the b.s.a.a. and is essentially under parole and has to work as a consultant. probably not the worst job he’s ever had, all things considered, but he annoys the shit out of piers. there’s also a plaque in the north american headquarters detailing chris redfield’s sacrifice and has the name of his squad who died as well.

Unpopular Opinion: The Game Awards 2019 edition

Overall, this year's Game Awards was pretty lackluster compared to last years presentation.

Trailers and world premieres shown never got more than a "Oh that game is coming out? That's pretty neat" Like zero impact. Except for Ghost of Tsushima which looked beautiful. But other than that, I cant recall a single trailer from last night that had a similar impact. (Also its my own fault for wishing for a Elden Ring trailer like Miyazaki plz)

Resident Evil got like 0 awards?? Like how?? How did it lose audio design to Call of Duty?? Like for a triple A game with so much content, polish and care to come out from a huge company is honestly amazing.

Green Day played for 10 mins just to annouce 6 songs coming to Beat Saber of all things? At least grimes and Chvrches actually worked on music in an actual game, so why Green Day there?

Major unpopular opinion ahead but Sekiro is just mildly ok. The game has glimmers and moments of GOTY material but fuck me if almost everything else inbetween those small moments were just...ok. I mean I'm glad FromSoft got that award and was so happy for Miyazaki but like oof. Compared to Resident Evil 2, Death Stranding and Control though? Hell, I would take Control before I take Sekiro and just let Resi 2 and Death Stranding duke it out for GOTY.

Whoever thought that having the last big game reveal of the night being the Fast and Furious game has questionable motives. Like of all the games, why that one to further sour the end of the show? Just so we could have Vin Diesel?

Although thats not to say there weren't positive moments last night. Highlights of the night go to Reggie and his wonderful speech, the Muppets x Untitled Goose game crossover I didnt know I needed in my life, my mans who was SCHLUMPED at the Game Awards like out like a light, Ikumi being a wonderful human being who was trying her absolute best like YOU DID SO WELL SWEETIE KEEP IT UP, Kojima finally getting proper recognition over his game and work over the past 4 years, and seeing the father of Soulsborne, Miyazaki, accept his award for GOTY.

Game Awards this year is like Sekiro. Just mildly ok with bits of glory that shine through throughout. I guess Sekiro really is GOTY /s

(Also the next Xbox is called Xbox Series X? God what an unattractive name like, "Hey man, wanna come over and play Xbox Series X??" Honestly shouldve kept the Xbox Scarlett name tbh lol. Also it looks like a box which was the only thing I took away from that but those graphics look beautiful. Still not gonna get it though.)

Must-watch Super Best Friends LPs: A curated list

So, I tried to get a friend of mine into bestfriends when he was in active service and didn’t have much time to sit and watch youtube. While I think you should probably watch all of the bestfriends content, aint nobody got time for that, and there are certain LPs that are just better ones.
