Part 1 Part 3 Part 4
Faded soft light hit your eyes as you started to wake up, you body felt light and the memories from last night were blurry but you pushed it aside and rolled over placing your hand out hoping to feel for one of your boys beside you. Your hand only grabbed cold velvet sheets making you open your eyes in confusion, your bed never had velvet sheets. Sitting up you looked around the unfamiliar room, wooden walls with sheets of white wall paper pealing off then, large red curtains covered curved windows a small gap letting a sliver of faded light through. The bed you where in was big with red velvet sheets and a carved wooden head board. Stepping out of bed onto the cold hard wood floor the chilly air hit you and a cold breath left your mouth as you made your way to the curtains pulling them open to reveal nothing but snow, the blizzard hitting harder than at the ship. You had no idea where you were or if any of this was real but you had to get out. Running to the wardrobe in the room you flung the heavy wooden doors open and looked for a coat and some shoes soon finding a old brown long coat but no shoes. Slipping the coat on you made your way to the excessively large doors of the room opening them to reveal a long dark hallway, the only light being candles lining the walls and soft music coming form one end of the hallway. There where no windows but many doors all the same looking, with no idea which one to take you decided to follow the sound of the music.
Pushing open the slightly cracked open door you entered a large dinning room candles and lanterns hanging form the ceiling along with stuffed animal head on the wooden wall, a large dinning room table with red cloth and red velvet chairs in the center. The music caught your attention it was coming form a very old snail record player that started skipped playing the same note over and over again. Walking over you reached a hand out and presses the button to reset it "No matter how much i try, i can't seem to fix it" A male voice caught you off guard, spinning around with a gasp only to see the man form before in front of you, he loomed over you his eyes locking on yours as his cold long fingers touched your face "Who are you? where am i?" you asked, the feeling of his touch confirmed that this wasn't a dream. "My dear... your home and its me." He seemed hurt by your words placing his other hand on his chest. "I've never seem you before." his hurt turned to anger his hands grabbed your shoulders slamming you up against the cupboard your back hitting the hard edge making you scream out in pain. His grip tightened as you tried to struggle free, but he just stood there staring down at you waiting for you to stop moving.
It took a minute or too before you finally stopped trying to get him off you and it seemed to make him smile "thats my Good girl" he bends down sniffing and licking your neck. "Get away form me" you spat out tilting your head away form him "Your just like the others... you look just like her but your not her" he hissed in your neck "But i can make you like her" he pulled away his forehead connecting with yours locking eyes with you once again "You smell so good, let me have a bit my love" He smiles showing his long fangs, you manage to grab a book from the book shelf next to the cupboard and wack him across the face with it, but he didn't let go he hardly even filched when the book hit his face. He turned to face you again before throwing you across the room your back hitting the wall with such force you thought it would brake, hitting the floor you cradled your arm since it took most of the fall but luckily it wasn't broken. Your instinct was to get up and run but your body wouldn't move the same whistling sound form last night filled your ears paralyzing your body. A cold hand wrapped around the back of your neck and slowly pushed your body to the ground now laying on your stomach he leans over you his breath on your neck "I saw you on the ship, you look exactly like her, your smile your laugh. your my Eleanor, mine and only mine. Those two disgusting men who touch you, kiss you... they'll never have you. I'll make sure of it" he whispers before sinking his teeth into your neck. It hurt but your body wouldn't let you scream out or shove him off you. You were paralyzed unable to do anything as he pinned you there and bit into your neck, you vision started to get blurry and your eyes growing tired soon blacking out.
After calling the others and sorting out a plan Zoro and Sanji made their way up the mountain, the others saying they will catch up soon. As they made their way up the mountain along the winding path the wind picked up and snow started to fall again, it seemed to only be snowing in this area and the closer they got to the castle the stronger it got. "Shit i can't see" Sanji yelled out form in front trying to shield his eyes form the barrage of snow and cold wind hitting his face. Zoro clung to the end of the cooks coat unable to see much in front of him "Just keep going. We should be almost there" the swords man yelled over the loud wind. Both came to a sudden stop when Sanji bumped into something causing Zoro to bump into him "What the hell?" the swords man called out before realizing they were in front of a large set of metal doors, high circular walls surrounded the large castle in the middle. Zoro pulled out his swards and moves Sanji behind him raising his swords to slash the metal doors to piece. Heavy metal hit the floor the sound being covered up by the loud wind, surprisingly the area around the castle had only a little snow fall and little wind, the ground not covered in too much snow. Sanji stepped thru looking over the castle trying to get an idea of where to look first only to spot a figure in one of the window "Hay. is that?" he asks walking closer to the castle looking up at some large windows with flickering lights. Zoro following after him looking for what the cook was seeing managing to spot it, Spot you. Still in your night gown but with a long brown coat hanging off your shoulders as you sat on the windowsill looking out at the falling snow. Relief filled Zoro's body seeing you alive and unharmed, Sanji waved his hands around trying to get your attention but failing. "Y/N" the cook yelled over and over again jumping up and down, you should be able to see him form this angle but you didn't look at him. Zoro grabs Sanji's shoulder stopping him form moving as a large pale man walked up behind you, his hand landed on his sword only for his heart to stop at seeing you turn and reach your hand out to him.
The two watched unable to comprehend what was happening, the man took your hand and bent down caressing your cheek before kissing you. "Y/n? what?" Sanji whispered his heart shattering at the sight. You leaned into the kiss placing your other hand behind his head pulling him in closer. Zoro couldn't help but see red, he knew you would never cheat on them and this was a vampire a creature know for its manipulation. Sanji couldn't watch anymore, prying his eyes away he stomped off to the castle slamming his fist into the wall before pulling out his cigarette and lighting it. Zoro watched the man pick you up and walk away form the window closing his eye to stop himself from doing anything stupid. A sob caught his attention looking over seeing Sanji shaking frantically puffing on his cigarette tears welling up in his eyes. The swords man made his way over and pulled the cook in for a hug "He's manipulating her... she would never" he starts trying to hold back the sadness in his chest. Sanji clung onto Zoro letting the tears fall "I know.. But it still hurts" he cried biting down on his cigarette.

AUGH-
EndKing!Steve AU
Chapter 16
what a fool...
Mesa pov:
I was almost out of the small town following where my portal was...that's when
*russling*
I looked at the bush next to me and...
A little furbal with Grey, black, and white stripes on its body(racoon) came out of the shadows, I almost got a heart attack when that happened...but I wasn't expecting something else to come down from the trees and tackled me, pinning me down to the ground. It was a person? No...the man had horns curved upwards, claws and a tail.....this was no human...then what?! I wasn't able to move not even an inch 'what kind of sorcery is this?! I can't move...' I thought to myself as I prepared for there next move...the creature stood up and running away sparing my life...'what was that...' be fore I could even turn around I was nocked out...
I couldn't remember what happened but all I know it that I was back to my castle lying down on my bed as if it was all a dream...I got out and wore the rest of my armor
(I'll tell you my hc for Mesa once I'm finished with this chapter and yes he's a cyborg)
I got to the hallway and I see that the pleaug was still spreading...slowly but surely. I had to act fast, but before I even got the chance to move towards the throne room pain rockets throughout my entire body.
I was aching in pain but as seconds passed the pain began to sooth and dissappear. I got up and continued to the throne room and headed to the back of the room to enter my (hidden)laboratory and luckily got a sample of the creature (soo...I guess it wasn't a deam?...) I placed it to one of the tubes and then placed the tube on the table and began making some random potions because who knows what else the pleaug could do?!
As I was making potions Just in case and as I was almost done with making I heard a glass break from the other room (the potion room and yeah he has 2 laboratory for bc he has too many potions) I rushed to the potion room and I saw the blood sample in the tube was broken...the blood was spilled on the ground...just great, unfortunately I didn't had another one...I was puzzled...who could had made the tube break and fall? I was the only one in here after all...and the only one who knew...I shrugged off the feeling and went back towhay I was doing...
????:....what a coincidence...looks like I'll be taking 2 dimension...what fun~
In the realm of the dead...
Steve pov:
The dragon I were having a nice convesation about random...stuff then began...
Crack!
I looked around and looked at my arm see that it had a small Crack on it...
????:Child...you can't stay here for long...
The dragon spoke with worry and calmness
Steve:...but what about you?...
...
????:ill be fine. Besides, you can visit me whenever you'll go back to sleep
The dragon spoke with calmness as if this had already happened to him multiple times...I was asleep thus whole time? (yeah I get it players can't sleep in the end...BUT ENTITLES CAN)
???: hey...atleast you'll have someone to talk to when your alone...
The dragon smiles at me...I smiled back, the world was breaking I didn't know how to get out. The dragon places one of it claws on my hand as it went close to my ear and said...
????:Wake Up.
I woke up from the dream and...everything was fine...I was back to reality seeing my claws as I looked at my arm and the crack was gone... I got up and went to the closet and change...to wearing my elytra and the armor on the armor stand. I knew the whole castle at the back of my hand, it is my castle after all. I remembered tha the phantom was going to take me somewhere...I got ready and brought my sword.
(the reinforced shadow sword from chapter -)
I waited for a few minutes at the edge of the island as the phantom was hovering the void...the phantom nodded signaling me to follow them...we flew over biome after biome, island after island. We were far from the kingdom thats for sure...as we flew over islands and rivers we finally got to the...
...
...
...
I flew down to the ground and proceeded to walk forward to the stairway down to the lower levels of the abandoned structure. I wasn't sure what this place is...'what in he multiverse is this...' I thought. I escaped my mind as we got to the lowest level, I came to see a waystone on the center and statues on each corner...but there was one missing...I came down to see that all of these statues were the old rulers or old guardians of the end...the figure told me that they all used to be human...like me...I looked back at one of the statues and looked back at all of them...they all looked familiar. Have I met them before? I looked behind each statue seeing glass behind each statue had its own phantom to represent itself...all of hem we're still alive...just banished and sealed away. I looked back at the one with the Phantom who had turquoise eyes. It's horns were facing upwards but slightly curved.
(I'll show you guys what they look like soon enough or maby after this chapter and also there names)
I looked at the name of the phantom and it was...----. The one without a statue and hadn't had a glass window, the figure told me that, thats where they used to be placed petrified and turned to stone...until I came...and took the crown which caused them to be setted free but...there body was yet still bound in chains, all of them were. And said that I was chosen to set them all free. Like I was special...
What a fool to believe such promises...
End of chapter 16...

Miscommunication (Neville Longbottom)
a/n: first #harrypotter imagine look at me, told you I would have some random things coming to this account. I have and always will be a simp for Neville Longbottom so heres that
Being friends with Draco and his minions is never easy, especially when you have a secret crush on a certain Gryffindor that you know they’d never let you hear the end of if they knew. When your roommate confronts you about your feelings for one of your closest friends, you’re forced to spill.
warning(s): cussing, sexual allusions
Part 2
––––––––––––––––––––––
Pansy walks into the library in a huff. This isn’t out of the ordinary, she can be quite dramatic, but today her huff seems to be heftier than the other. She drops her things next to a table close enough to you where you can see her making a ruckus and plops in a chair, burying her face in her hands. Usually you let her sort out her thoughts before she inevitably complains to you about whatever Goyle said to her that day or Hermoine calling her pugface again, but not today. She’s actually crying.
“Pansy?” You ask, but she doesn’t lift her head. “Are you alright?”
She doesn’t even bother to move her face from her hands before she says, “Like you care.”
This was out of the ordinary. Pansy has been your roommate as well as best friend since the two of you met on your first ride on the Hogwarts Express. You stand up from your cross-legged position on your chair to sit in the empty seat at her table
“Pansy, darling, how could you say such a thing?” You ask, genuinely confused and slightly hurt by her accusations. “You know I care about you.”
She turns her head to look at you, her eyes red and her sleeves stained beneath her. She doesn’t change her face, still scowling at you, you’re not sure what you’ve done but you know she can’t be mad at you for long.
“Would you tell me what I’ve done so we can talk about this?” You plead with her, you hated when the two of you fought, it always created a weird tension in your lives.
“You must love the way he looks at you,” She starts, sniffling all the while she’s reprimanding me. “Draco just can’t get enough of you, huh? You know how much I like him, y/n, did you have to go after him too.”
“What in Godric’s name are you on about?” You ask, more confused than you were before. “Draco? Pansy there is no reality where Malfoy and I have feelings for each other.”
“I see the way he looks at you.”
“Babe, he’s looking at you!” You exclaim, rubbing her shoulder comfortingly. “Malfoy doesn’t want me. Even if he did, I don’t like him like that one bit. You know I don’t like his type.”
Blood purity this, death eater that. It all got fairly boring quickly when you spend as much time with the miniature Malfoy as you do. Truth be told, you were at first obsessed with the blond, following his every move through your first few months at Hogwarts, but after a while his constant complaints about Harry Potter and his threats about his ‘father hearing about this’ hindered you from ever entertaining the thought of being with Malfoy in any sort of romantic sense.
Everyone you associated with in your house was very similar to Malfoy, just a slightly less whiny version with less daddy issues. Crabbe, Goyle, Theo and Blaise, they all had their hang ups, so you started to look outside of the Slytherin common room. You hadn’t planned to fall for a Gryffindor, you had hoped for a Ravenclaw at least being the intense hatred your friends held for the red and gold clad students, but it just happened.
You’re quite smart, just second to Hermoine Granger in many of your classes, all except herbology. That’s when Neville Longbottom entered into your life. After going to Professor Sprout, hysterical about your most recent marks in the class, she decided to take pity on you and employ her best students to help you.
You could tell you made him nervous, the whole time you were asking about mandrakes and gillyweed his cheeks stayed the same shade of crimson they had from the minute you walked into the library and gave him your signature Slytherin smile. You like the way he looked at you, the way he hung on your every word, the way he wasn’t condescending in the way most of the male friends you have made at Hogwarts are. Neville is kind just for the sake of being kind, it was something you weren’t used to.
“No, y/n, I don’t know that.” Pansy says, not in a mean way, more pleading than anything. “You never tell me about anything when it comes to boys, you always just let me go on and on about Draco, there has to be someone.”
You let out a deep sigh, Pansy is your best friend, she should be the one to know about your little crush on the Gryffindor, but you can’t help but dread the day she accidentally lets it slip to her beloved Malfoy.
“Pans before I tell you I need you to know I am not even remotely embarrassed about liking him, I just haven’t told you because the gits we call our friends would ruin him, alright so you have to promise not to tell anyone.”
Pansy sticks out her pinky and waits for you to link yours with her. You interlock both of your little fingers and kiss your thumbs before pressing them together, solidifying her promise. You take a breath and turn your head to look a little further back in the library where you see Neville explaining some phenomenon to Harry Potter who looks bored out of his mind. Pansy’s gaze follows your before she gasps, smacking her hand to her mouth.
“Merlin, y/n, you like Potter?” She whisper screams, making your head snap in her direction, widening your eyes at her.
“No you idiot, the other one.” You clarify before turning to look at him again. The way he is so deep in thought, obviously about something he’s passionate about, is so intriguing, makes you fall for him a little more every time you catch him in this state.
It’s not before Longbottom can feel two pairs of eyes burning into the side of his head. He cautiously looks to his left to see the two Slytherins looking his way. When he catches your eyes, he immediately blushes but doesn’t look away, neither do you. You simply give him a gentle smile and a small wave before turning back to Pansy who can’t contain her growing grin.
“You really like Neville?” She asks and your nod, seemingly not able to wipe the smile off your face either. “Y/n, I think thats lovely.”
“You know, I didn’t plan on liking him, but after he tutored me in herbology I just couldn’t keep away,” You gush, you can tell your face probably looks like it’s in a dream state but you don’t care. You snap back to reality to tell her again, “You see why you absolutely cannot mention this to the boys. Especially Blaise.”
You didn’t mean to add that last part, you’re cursing yourself for it actually. You hadn’t meant for anyone to find out that for a brief period of time, solely out of desperation on your end, you and Blaise had been each others extra curricular activity so to speak. It ended the minute you realized you actually had feelings for Neville, you never told Blaise the true reason but if he knew it was Neville he may well murder him.
“Blaise?” Pansy ponders, a knowing grin forming on her lips. “Don’t tell me Zabinis been in your lady parts.”
You gag at her choice of words before nodding sheepishly. “It was a year ago and it was purely out of frustration, I promise. I wanted to tell you but he made me promise to keep quiet since I was the one who ended it. I told him I liked someone else, he thinks it’s Theo. He wasn’t mad because I think he thinks Theo is the best looking out of them. I obviously disagree because I didn’t let Nott in my pants now, did I?” You realize you’re rambling and Pansy is taking in all of this information while stifling a laugh. You shake your head before continuing. “But if Blaise knew it was Neville all along he would hex him or something. You see the way Crabbe and Goyle shove him in the hallway and Draco torments him, and I don’t want Blaise joining in on it okay Pans? I really like him.”
“You’re secret is safe with me, don’t worry.” She assure you with a kind smile. “Have you snogged him?”
You shake your head, “I haven’t even spoken to him about it, we don’t talk outside of herbology. I don’t know why, I feel like I can’t muster up the courage around him.”
Her jaw drops before smacking the table in front of us, “Y/n, you are hottest sixth year in this place, quite possibly the hottest witch to walk these halls ever. I know for a fact you’re the hottest bitch to show Longbottom that kind of interest, it’s not like he’d ever say no to you.”
“That’s the thing Pans, I’m not the kind of girl he goes for,” You sigh, letting your chin rest in your hands. The thing about you and Neville is your relationship is strictly academic. If you were to tell him you had feelings for him, ones that he didn’t reciprocate, he’d probably never tutor you again. You’ll take any time with him that you can, even if it’s just to listen to him go on and on about plants. “I don’t want to freak him out, he might never want to talk to me again. I’d be so embarrassed.”
“If he’s stupid enough to take one look at you and think ‘eh, not my type’ then he’d be the one who should be embarrassed.” She tries to assure you, it doesn’t make the thought of telling him any less scary. You never want to see a look on his face when he’s disgusted with you, and you fear that’s what you’d get if you told him. “Do me a favour and look in the mirror, remind yourself who you are. I don’t just mean your face, I obviously think you’re gorgeous, me and half of this school think so, but also right here.”
She points at you heart and smile. You shrug your shoulders and before you know it, Pansy is making a big show of her exit and making the fact that theres and empty seat across from you extremely apparent, calling out as she leaves, “I won’t be back, darling y/n, don’t save my seat.”
You blush and shake your head as she sends you a wink, leaving you alone in the library. You’re not alone for long before you hear a voice behind you ask.
“You mind if I sit here.”
“Not at all.” You reply, knowing full well who it is. “Hi Neville.”

Beautiful Revelations
Pairing: Gruvia (I know its been a hot ass min)
Fandom: Fairy Tail
tags: @shellielyzabeth @be-dazzled @nostalgicxslumber @unvalley @tigerfire54
Note: It has happened. I have written 200 fanfics and idk if I should be proud or slightly scared. (feel free to skip this omg why is it so long)
I want to say thank you to everyone who has read, liked, reblogged or interacted with me in any way. I have always had a feeling that no matter what I write, I wouldn’t matter. But every comment and sweet note left made me realize that even if its just a smile or enough to make someone hit the like button, I made a small difference or added something to the fandom. Most of my fics are quick drabbles full of spelling mistakes, random thoughts and love for the characters. I know I don’t write very long stories or finish my wips (why are we surprised) but even though Im not someone people look to as a big author, each of you have made me feel special. There have been many times, this year especially that I had decided to give up writing. “Im not good enough and no one will even notice” Thats what I told myself if I decided to just back away. But every so often I would look and see that someone new or old had read my work. Every time someone reads something I wrote, I go back and read it too. I look at all the tags and see every comment and I stop and smile and remember how much joy it brought me when I first posted.
When I first started writing, I thought that I wouldn’t have a place. Yet in a very short span of time, I was welcomed with open arms and people started to tune in regularly for my fics. I had been given many nicknames such as Gruvia goddess, angst queen, satan (yes I know the fic0 and well even Star.
During my darkest moments, my mind lingered to my writing and to my internet friends. without hesitation I could message someone and feel better and be given the reassure I need. I can't even begin to say how much it means to me that people actually enjoy my writing and even me as a person.
I thank each of you for giving me a joy that was considered a luxury at one point and allowing me to write whatever I wanted and you took it with love and made me happier than I have been in years. To all the people who made art or wrote me something, it means so much to me.
Im not saying that this fic is my greatest but I think it has a special place because It shows the growth over time. 200 fics is a lot and whether or not they were all good, it doesn't matter because I did that and I can say that im proud. Im sorry for all that sappy shit but I wouldn't be where I am without you all.
-Star <3
ps: im not dying or stop writing fics im just happy lol

“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.”
― Sarah Dessen, The Truth About Forever
---
It was the nights like these that she hated most. The cold would creep through the blankets and make her shiver as her eyelids hung heavy. She could be ready to rest, let the sweet dreams guide her but instead those dark intrusive thoughts toyed with her like a fly on a freshly woven web. They would sprout out of nowhere, tangled with thorns and hold her mind hostage as it injected its sickly venomized thoughts for the night.
She always wondered how she got this far. She was one of the highest members of Phantom Lord, her abilities had rarely been matched. If she desperately craved, she could walk down the hallways and strike fear into the other members, no one could touch her. Hierarchies became a custom here. Once you made it to the top after clawing your way with blood, sweat and probably more blood, you were a god. Yet she walked in and in the next few minutes she was at the table with the master, already receiving a promise that she was special, a delicate and useful ally for the guild.
Special. What a swollen lie that turned out to be.
Maybe that's why she never bothered to search for a light, something to cure the rain. For every life she had bruised or ended, she wanted to feel the pain that followed. She needed to know the consequence of her actions, to be held accountable for ruining another family or taking something from the innocent. Instead she was celebrated.
The days turned to months and she found herself years later not knowing what anything meant anymore. Life used to be black and white. She would walk the side of the kind and good and now she was treading through a swarm of a morally gray compound.
These restless nights, she loathed them but then again, suffering was something that came naturally to her. The only person to ever knock her down was herself.
She climbed out of bed, fuzzy slippers over her feet as she walked to the bathroom. Her headache had worsened and she stared into the mirror. She had looked at herself a thousand times but… have her eyes always been that blue? No, she was tired and her vision was fuzzy, she was fine. Cold water came to her hands as she turned on the facet and splashed her face. Everything was the same as it always was. Expect for today.
Her order was simple. Defeat whoever stood in her way and make sure the Phantom Lord got Lucy Heratfilia. Why did they want some mage? She didn’t know but she was never one to second guess her orders. To go against what she was told was a waste of time, she would have been dead by the end of the day if she did. She had once believed that they accepted her with open arms, that Phantom Lord truly cared about her well being. It was a lie. A bitter sweet lie she allowed to remain in her head.
Hundreds of opponents had come before her. She was accustomed to the way of a battle and had harnessed her skill at a young age. The pure power of the rain pushed her further. She had an unlimited amount of power around her, unlike others, they would run out of fuel. She began to crave that god-like power. Allow the storm to rage on, all she had was herself and the droplets that followed. She understood she was an outcast. Love was never an option, not for someone who brought gloom everywhere.
But this afternoon, fate was a funny thing. She walked onto that rooftop, winning was the only thing on her mind, but he was there. A man who didn’t back down, a man who saw her as an equal.
Her heart began to race. It was forgien and she wasn’t sure if she liked it. She had felt attraction before but this, this was different. Something as small as a single glance had already spun her mind into a muddled mess. It would have been better if she turned around, if he didn’t engage in the fight. Then maybe she wouldn’t be thinking of him like this.
Love at first sight. That wasn’t real. No one could possibly have that happen. What could drive someone's emotion so wild that they become attached to a person in such a short time? And yet it happened. He stood there waiting for the next move and she could only gaze at him with rose colored glasses.
An enemy. A traitor. That's what she would be if she dared to let him escape. She couldn’t hestatite, she never did and now she was frozen in her spot as ice magic danced around her. Peoples magic and abilities never intrigued her, but this, this was beyond anything she had seen.
The light reflecting off of the ice as her droplets froze before her eyes was breathtaking and she hardly noticed that she was losing the battle. She never thought rain could look, dare she say, beautiful? But in this state of its frozen glory, it was all she could think about. She envied those who never had to stay in the rain, a jealousy she didn’t want to admit had festered over the years and she gave up trying to despise the element. But before her was something much more than the state she was accustomed to. Ice. The solid purity of her own and she had wondered what it would be like to hold it in her hands.
She had water locked him, pulled out all of the stops and even with that, he stood again and again. He had screamed that the water was boiling, burning his skin but never before had the water gone above warm. It was usually ice cold on the tipping point of freezing but she could feel the warmth surrounding her.
It shocked her just the same. She had heard people talk about feeling the sun kiss their skin, the warmth spreading as they walked, this was the closest she had felt to that. This warm rush of water was beyond what she had known and yet even as it tinged her hands it felt good, it felt freeing, it felt right.
It burned in a way she had craved for so long. Something other than the fridgeness she had grown used too.
She stared at her reflection in her mirror, tears brimming her eyes. How could one person she just met bring her something she had never felt before? She shut the light out in the bathroom and walked back to her bed, passing her window, she stopped and turned.
Above in the sky was the moon. A soft white glow surrounded the orb that she had never seen before. It was breathtaking. A cosmic power the normal people of the world didn’t dare to worship now became a luxury. The sky was clear and she could see the stars, she could sense them all. How could she have lived her entire life never once seeing the moon and the sun? She had been cursed to live in the rain forever.
But he-he made it stop.
When he grabbed her arm, it was like time had stopped. As if everything she had ever known was washed away and all she could see was a bright light encasing him. She was content knowing her death was coming, there was hardly a reason for her to live. Perhaps she wasn't even living, just surviving day after gloomy day.
He pulled her to safety, her back against the roof as she panted heavily. Those clouds above her moved like a curtain for a show, parting just so that she could see the enchanting mystery she had always craved.
She had never known a blue sky till then. The brightness was almost unbearable as she stared into a sky she had never known. So many emotions flooded her head but it was clear as those ice crystals that her heart was beating for him. She was his enemy, they made that clear from the start but he hadn’t hesitated to save her. He showed a mercy she had never come across.
Another tear fell as she sat on her bed.
“He saved Juvia.” She whispered to herself. A horrific thought came to her. Would she have saved him? She didn’t want to know the outcome because deep down she believed she was good. Beneath the surface of unremosle power, there was that scared little girl who never had anyone to care for her.
The amount of days she sat in that orphanage alone sewing her dolls and praying that the rain stopped one way or another, it was as if she couldn’t remember it. He had done the impossible. He showed her the sky she hadn’t seen. He had shown her kindness.
A thought came to mind as she stood and packed her things. No more would she be known as “the rain woman”. No more would gloom be her only trait. She was determined to find something much more appealing than those bowing by fear. She wanted love. She wanted that warmth of the water constantly and the feeling of the sun on her skin. She understood it now. There was a power strong than her, stronger than any wizard that surrounded the other guild.
She had vowed to be done with love. Promised herself that no man could hurt her again. She was trembling at the thought of being vulnerable once more. The only time she felt warmth was the scorching burn of a fiery rejection and words that burned like lava. It was too much for someone to handle. So she pushed it down, locked the key and threw it as far as she could. The temptation though. The idea of letting her guard down for someone, someone she barely knew? How she fantasized of that moment. She had once believed that someone of her past had done that, but they were all the same. Ashamed of the rain, the rain she caused, the pain she brought.
And after their fight when she collected herself and tried to run back towards her guild, he stopped her.
“For what it's worth I think you’re an incredible wizard. You may not want to believe that your guild is dark and bad but, Fairy Tail is always open.” He had said it with such sincerity that she wasn’t sure if it were true.
“Juvia thinks your magic is just as powerful.” She had said before he gave her a smile and turned away to go back to his other guild mates.
And here she stood, a suitcases packed in the night and a note left on the desk. This guild didn’t deserve any words. Not when they feasted on her ability. Harvested those negative emotions and almost made her fall into the deep end.
She knew what they would say. They would call her a coward. A traitor and a worthless wizard, at first it was enough to stop her. Make her stay and perhaps bring back the clouds. However what he said stuck in her mind.
“I would rather die fighting than let your guild have Lucy! She is one of us and we don’t leave anyone behind.”
Without hesitation he made it clear that every member of the guild was valued no matter how long they had been there, they were a family. If something like that would have happened, if she were threatened, her guild would let her die without a second thought.
Never again would she allow someone to have a hold over her. She spent too many years sheltered by pain and deviation to go on like that.
She grabbed her bag and closed her door.
--
Juvia stood in front of the door. The morning would be better to do this but it was beyond dark outside and she didn’t want her intrusive thoughts pulling her back to her old guild. Softly she knocked, maybe hoping that he wouldn’t hear it and force her back to the isolation of fear.
The open clicked open and her eyes widened slightly as a sleepy Gray leaned against the door frame, shirtless and rubbing his eyes.
“Juvia?” He blinked and watched as her cheek puffed out in red. He looked down to see that he was only in his underwear and let out a yelp as he grabbed a blanket off the chair. “What are you doing here?”
“Um Juvia thought.” She paused and looked towards the ground. “Actually Juvia apologies for disturbing you.” Her back was to him and she began to walk away.
“Wait!” His hand caught hers and he pulled slightly. A jolt of warmth spread through her, burning her like a thousand suns as well as the chill of ice from his own temperature. She looked back at him, eyes wide and lips parted. “Juvia, please just tell me.”
“Such kindness.” She whispered to herself. Her heart rate sped up just like it did earlier and she swallowed a breath. “Juvia was wondering…why did you save her?”
His hand dropped her as if he were shocked that she would dare question his action.
“I wasn’t going to let you die. Enemies or not, I don’t think you deserved that fate. I don’t believe that you are this evil person your guild made you out to be. To be honest when you fell, you look like you didn’t care what happened and I guess I saw myself in you.”
“You saved Juvia because you know what it's like?”
“To feel lost and hopeless I guess.” He scratched the back of his neck nervously. “Sometimes it's hard thinking you deserve to live, that it would be better to harbor all the pain of your past. I don’t know everything about you but that look in your eyes. I couldn’t let you go knowing that there was a brighter future ahead.”
A tear dripped from her eye. Her smile was soft as hugged her arms to her body. “You knew Juvia would join the guild.”
“Well I wouldn’t say I knew, but I was hoping that you would. If you still want to, that is.”
“Juvia would be honored.” She bowed respectfully towards him.
Gray smiled and bowed back. His eyes faced the sky looking towards the moon. “Have you ever seen it?”
“Tonight would be the first. Juvia thinks the stars are remarkable.”
“Lucy knows alot about them, I think you two would be good friends.”
Juvia shook her head as regret twisted in her stomach. “Juvia accepts your kindness and compassion but she doesn’t know if the rest will. Juvia was her rival, she understands if everyone doesn’t see her as a friend.” She frowned slightly.
A laugh came from the ice mage's mouth. “That's the thing about Fairy Tail, no matter where you come from or what your past may have held, there's always going to be a friend waiting.”
Juvia nodded. “Thank you Gray. Juvia will talk to your guild master tomorrow.”
“Like I said before. You’re an incredible wizard, you’ll be just fine.” He winked.
“Have a nice night.”
“You too.”
She watched as he entered his house before turning around and walking towards her hotel. Her shoulders felt lighter and she held her head high for the first time. This was her step in the right direction, this was where her new life began.
Time had slowed and allowed her to pause. A beautiful revelation she never knew could exist came to mind as she just realized that she was in love.
---
She looked down at her leg in the mirror. The voices behind her had faded to the background as she became entranced with the mark of Fairy Tail.
“The blue suits you.” She turned to see Gray standing there with a smile as he was focused on her guild mark.
To say that she was grateful was an understatement. Her mask she wore like a crown had shattered. It unravels in his hands as the months went on and all that was left was the person she wanted to be. She could finally let go of her ghosts, her darkness and begin to forgive herself.
---
“What do you think?” He asked her as the white sky fell with snow.
Gray had told her of a special spot he used to go to when the first snow came. Past the forest was a clearing of grassy hills that would soon become a winter wonderland. Laid out on one of the hills was a blanket and a few lanterns.
She held her hand out and felt the tiny snowflakes collect on her hand. He sat behind her, one arm snaked around her waist while the other hand rose above hers and created a small flurry of snowflakes.
“Breathtaking.” She gushed. This was the first time she had seen snow fall. Her eyes followed the ice magic as it formed a heart and blew into the sky joining the other flurries. She turned so she could meet his eyes and his normal content face was replaced with a smile.
He leaned forward until their noses touched briefly. “Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?” He said and she only had a moment to process his words as his lips landed on hers and her eyes fluttered close.
Her hand went to his cheek as she leaned towards him, her energy matching his and all she could hear was the thumping of her heart. She would be embarrassed to say that she might have dreamt of this moment a little too much but it didn’t matter now. All she knew was that her beloved felt the same.
---
For once she was happy to hear a cry. That little whimper bubbling from the baby's mouth, her baby, she was in disbelief. Perfection was a rarity. No one was perfect, but the being with a tuft of dark blue hair and grey eyes would beg to differ. A child was never in her future. The thought came up randomly but the idea of raising a family wasn’t even a question.
During her missions in her old guild, she would walk past a family. She would see happy faces on everyone and would only be filled with envy and hatred. Disgusting was what it was. How could you love someone else when there was no love for you?
But times change. She would see others holding their child's hand and feel a warmth in her heart at how the children beamed up at their parents. She could sense the love all around them and would smile herself, hoping that it might become a reality for herself.
She would wake in the middle of the night, not from her demons but for her new reason to live. He would babble and tug at the locks of her hair and giggle when water magic danced before his young eyes.
---
It was nights like these that loved the most. The soft rays of moonlight casting shadows through her window as silk sheets wrapped around her bare form. She used to spend nights alone, only her pillow to catch her tears and now delicate fingers trail her backside as she listens to the thumping of his heart. His chest rises and falls as her own follows the rhythm. Her eyes flutter close as her tiredness grows untils it's interrupted by a cool press of lips under her ear.
A peaceful sigh leaves her lips as she tilts her head up to meet dark eyes gazing at her. Flushed cheeks was something she wore often and she lifted off of him to move further up and meet his lips with hers. He pulls her back to him, hating the emptiness between them and adores the way she shivers when his thumb traces her guild mark.
Their love was honest and raw. She had learned that nights like those in the past would haunt him as well. They would keep him up and plague his thoughts with images of death and destruction. But now, they lingered in the shadows, always there but something brighter and beautiful guarded them to peace and she focused on the way he breathed her name then the tears that dropped.
There was an overwhelming amount of happiness that she had gathered after all the years she spent in Fairy Tail. She found friendship and family bonds. Love in all forms that she cherished deeply. Her powers were seen as a gift to help others and lend a hand, not twisted into medled lies that she had spent so long untangling.
Her lips pulled from his slowly and their breaths settled between them. When she looked at Gray she found something more. She had freedom and rebirth. Forgiveness and lust wrapped into something more than love. Their bond was stronger than she could have ever dreamed and when he left kisses over her skin she wanted nothing more in life than to stay frozen in this moment.
He did the impossible. He opened a door, shined a light through her darkness and allowed her to accept the fact that she did deserve to live. She could cherish moments and keep them as her own without the threat of corruption. Her life was now her own to command and she did it with such grace and beauty that Gray couldn’t imagine her being any different.
“I love you.” He promised and there was no doubt in her mind that he meant it.
“I love you too.” She responded.
The beautiful truth was that she was finally at peace and loved herself.
---
I hope that you all enjoyed and thank you for being so lovely <3

One side, Two lives
Chapter ten
Is he ok?
First Previous Next
Warnings: slight gore, panicked attack, and mention of eating disorder
Where the heck am I? Virgil thought as he took in his surroundings. He couldn’t see anything except himself, as I he was standing in a pit of nothingness. He tried to to walk around but the blackness seemed to go on forever so he started to panic. Where a I? How do I get out of here? Where are the others?! Are they here two? I have to find them!
Suddenly the anxious side heard a scream from behind him in the darkness. That sounds like Roman! He thought. He turned around and there stood Roman, on his knees and grasping at his stomach which confused the other side. Why is he grabbing at his stomach? Never mind I need to get his attention.
“Roman!” Virgil shouted to the other, but the prince didn’t acknowledge him, he didn’t even seem to hear him. This in no way helped Virgils anxiety.
“Roman! Princy can you hear me!” He shouted again, but just like before the creative side didn’t seem to even know he was there. Out of no where Virgil heard a dark chuckle.
He turned his gaze away from the prince and towards the noise. The shape of a person had materialized from the darkness, glimmering in a golden light and having what seemed to be a cape dragging behind him. The whatever it was approached Roman’s fallen from, laughing the whole time.
“You see? Your nothing but a weakling, and theres no place for anything like that here.” Virgil watched in terror as the person drew a sword and used it to tilt Roman’s head up to look at him. The side had tears running down his face and blood leaking from his mouth. Why is he crying? Why is he bleeding!? Virgil thought.
He looked back down to the prince’s hand and saw that the normally pure white outfit was now stained in blood, the red liquid was still spreading rapidly. Virgils eyes grew wide with horror. The golden being ‘tsk’ at the downed side and kicked him in the stomach making him cough up blood. No! Stop! You’re going to kill him! That’s what Virgil wanted to say, but as soon as he tried to scream black tendrils wrapped around his mouth and kept him quite.
Never the less the anxious side tried to run forward to stop everything but he couldn’t. He looked down and his feet where somehow stuck to the ground. He tried to pull himself free but it became clear that it was no use. He looked back at the scene in front of him and saw the figure start to raise his sword.
“You really are worthless. You’re just a pathetic excuse for a side, a useless nothing, and you’re especially no hero.” As the thing said that, it swung it sword down.
“ROMAN!”
Virgil jolted up from his bed, his hand outstretched like he was trying to reach for something. His forehead was covered in sweat and he was sure that if he looked in a mirror his face would be whiter than a ghost’s. He brought his hand to his chest and he found his heart was beating faster than he thought it ever had. Virgil took a deep sigh and tried to calm down, it didn’t work very well. He looked over at his clock and saw that it was around 3 in the morning.
What the heck was that? Virgil wondered to himself. He couldn’t remember much of his nightmare but he remembered that he was more scared than he had ever been in his life. Just trying to remember what happened made the side start hyperventilating. Ok. I need to calm down or else I might give Thomas a panic attack. Virgil started taking deep breaths and began to calm down as he repeated his 4 ,7, 8 breathing exercise.
Once he was calmed downed he realized that he probably wasn’t going to be able to go to sleep for a while and flopped back onto his bed in frustration. The one night I actually tried to get more sleep. Just great. The side pulled out his phone from under his pillow and grabbed his headphones from his bed side table. This wasn’t the first time he was woken up by nightmares, but this time had definitely been the worst.
He put on his headphones and picked up his phone. He went though a few different playlist before he finally settle on just clicking shuffle on My Chemical Romance. He ended up on Mama and smiled. This song was slightly calmer than most of the groups songs. He went to tumbler and started scrolling though it, humming the lyrics as he looked at post. After about an hour of looking at memes and funny videos Virgil found himself starting to dose off, the residents of the nightmare going to the back of his mind.
When Virgil woke up it was too Patton calling him down for breakfast. He groaned as he got out of bed and change into his usual style. He pulled on his signature jacket as he went out the door even though he knew that it was crazy to wear a jacket on almost any day in Florida. Virgil walked down the long hallway eyeing every corner suspiciously in case Remus decided to just pop up or something. Because of this he wasn’t looking where he was going and ran straight into someone’s back and fell down.
“Virgil? Are you ok” a familiar voice said. The anxious side looked up and saw that it was non other than Roman who he just happened to run into. The memories of his dream flashed in his mind and he looked at Romans stomach glad to see that there was no kind off blood staining on the t-shirt he was wearing. He shook his head a bit to clear the image of the fallen prince in his mind.
“Yah, I’m fine Princy.” Virgil said. Roman extended his hand to Virgil and pulled him up.
“You need to watch where your going, wouldn’t want you falling down the stairs or something.” Roman said with a chuckle. The smaller side smiled softly at the sound but pretended to cough into his sleeve when Roman looked back at him.
“Kiddos! Come get your breakfast before it gets old!” That had snapped Virgil out of his embarrassed fake coughing fit and the two started heading towards the kitchen. When they entered they found Logan at the table reading a comic book? Roman turned to Virgil and raised an eyebrow in question. The anxious side shrugged and went to go sit down at the table. He took a closer look at the cover and saw that it was a horror comic and that only confused him more.
“What are you reading Lo? I don’t think I’ve ever even seen you pick up a comic book before” Virgil asked. Logan finally looked up from his book and he seemed kinda embarrassed.
“Well um, technically it’s a graphic novel and uh Remus asked me to read it over for him.” Logan said while he adjusted his glasses, and if Virgil wasn’t mistaken, he was ever so slightly blushing. As the gears in his head spun the smaller side started to smirk. It definitely seems like this guy has a crush Remus. Although it may not look it, Virgil didn’t actually hate the duke. They in no way got along, and Virgil didn’t trust the creative side as far as he could though him, but he didn’t necessarily hate the gremlin of a man.
So, with this in mind, the mischievous raccoon in a jacket decided that as long as he was here, he might as well mess with people.
“I didn’t know you and Remus where such good friends.” Roman, who had sat down after getting a plate of food for himself from the kitchen, tried his absolute hardest not to burst out laughing as Logan stuttered and rambled to try and explain himself.
“He simply assisted me in conducting some research the other day and I wanted to return the kind favor.” Once more the prince and emo character shared a look. Virgil decided that was enough teasing for now. You have to spread out the torture to make it effective after all. So instead of continuing to make fun of his friend he decided he should finally grab some breakfast.
“Whatever you say Lo.” The former dark side walked into the kitchen to see Patton serving up a plate that he assumed was for Logan.
Today Patton had made some scrambled eggs, a few links of sausages, and some toast he was currently adding crafters jam to. Patton turned around to face his dark strange son and smiled widely.
“Hey kiddo! I made a plate for you if that’s alright. If theres anything you want to change about it go right ahead!” The fatherly side said in his usual cheerful tone. Unfortunate this kinda made the smaller of the two freak out a bit.
What if I don’t like whats on the plate? I can’t just mess with it Patton already put in the work to make the food and if I put any of it back it will look like I don’t like his cooking which of course into true but what if he thinks that? Luckily his worries were put to rest when he saw his plate had equal proportions of everything just how he liked it. He breathed a sigh of relief and went to go sit back down with the others.
When he got back to table Roman and Logan were arguing about some sort of play but the conversation was now going too fast for Virgil to actually pay attention to it.
“Don’t you dare say Hamilton wasn’t a good musical in my presence!”
“I’m just saying its historically inaccurate! For one thing the Skylar sisters did have an older brother so the part in the musical where Angelica sings about having to bring the family glory is false. Also she was already wed to a man before she met Alexander so she couldn’t marry him if even if she wanted to.” Logan reasoned in his calm yet frustrated ‘everyone-is-being-an-idiot-except-for-me’ tone of voice.
“Of course it isn’t entirely accurate to the real character. In theater you have to add a bit of drama to express the characters feeling in the scene better!” The royal side tried to explain while he waved his arm around in the air, surprisingly not hitting anything or anyone. Luckily before the two could continue Patton walked into the room carrying both his and Logan’s plate.
“Ok kiddos I think thats enough arguing for now, go ahead and eat instead of bickering please.” Patton said in a hopeful voice. The two sides grumbled a bit to themselves but did start eating . Virgil looked over at Romans plate and saw that he once again had a lot less food on his plate than the rest of them. He had about two mouthfuls of eggs on his plate, one small sausage and half of a jam covered toast.
Doesn’t he need to eat more than the rest off us? I mean he goes adventuring all the time so he probably burns all the calories he gets from the meals Patton makes. Virgil pondered all this while he ate. If he was being honest he didn’t think he had ever seen Roman get seconds unless people insisted on it. Thats kinda concerning, what if he isn’t eating right because off stress? But why would Princy be stressed he’s the living personification of having a dreamy good life. Could something be wrong and we just haven’t noticed it yet?is he ok? Luckily he was broken from his thoughts as someone called his name.
“Virgil? Are you ok? You’ve been so pacing out for a while now, everything alright?” Roman said as he put a comforting hand on the anxious sides shoulder. Virgil gave the royal a small smile and took a deep breath. I’m just overthinking things. Roman’s fine, he would have come to us if he had a problem.
“Yah I’m fine Princy, just got lost in thought that’s all.” The creative side smiled at that and went back to eating his small plate of food.
After everyone was done with breakfast they all went back to their own rooms, Logan still reading the graphic novel as he walked. Once Virgil got to his room he threw himself onto his extremely messy bed and was about to pull up something to watch on YouTube when he heard a knock on his door.
What the, I was just with everyone, if they needed to ask me something wouldn’t they have asked me then? The purple side sighed and got up to open the door, only to find the hallway completely empty?
“Um, ok, anyone there?” Virgil said while he stuck his head out the doorway.
“Yup! I’m right here!” A choice shouted from behind him.
“Ahhh!” The smaller side screeched and accidentally slammed the door shut. There now sitting on his bed kicking his feet, was Remus. He wasn’t wearing his usual outfit for videos but instead a ripped up tank to and some black sweatpants.
“What the hell are you doing here?!” The anxious side said in an accusing tone.
“I was bored and decided that I might as well annoy you for a while.” The taller of the two said with a shrug.
Virgil groaned and destroyed any hope of having a peaceful day from his mind.
“Why in the world did you knock? You haven’t had any real manners since we were kids.” The purple clad side said as he sat down on a beanbag that he had in the corner. The duke shrugged.
“It was part of my grand plan to distract you so that I could scare you even better.” The insane side said with a sharp tooth smile. Before Virgil could make a retort the door burst opened. There stood Princy in a t-shirt and shorts, his hair looking slightly disheveled and with a sword in hand. He for some reason also looked a bit bigger than normal but Virgil discarded the thought as the lighting being weird.
“Virgil! What’s wrong! What do I need to fight!” The red side exclaimed.
“Hey Ro! I just scared emo over here and he screamed like I had ripped out his guts or something.” The duke said as he threw his arm around his brother. Virgil was kinda surprised. Last time he had seen the twins interact Roman was out cold in seconds but now they were talking like they were best friends. Well I guess they are siblings after all. The smallest in the room said.
“Oh, ok then. Virgil do you need any assistance?” Roman asked. The former dark side thought for a minute and figured that he could handle Remus by himself, he had enough experience dealing with his craziness growing up.
“Yah Romano I’ll be fine.” Virgil said with a wave. Roman nodded but not without a sigh at the nick name and walked out.
“Oh but before I go,” the prince turned around and glared and the both of them, “if you two kill each other I will find a way to somehow resurrect you and get you both scolded by Patton.” And with that Roman left with a royal wave. The two remaining sides gave each other a look, Virgil’s one of distrust and Remus’s one of mischief.
“Sooooo,” Remus said as he jumped back onto the bed, “you like my brother huh?” Virgil’s face turned bright red.
“I-I don’t know what your talking about!” The now highly nervous side shouted. This only made the duke chortle.
“Chill out, I’m not gonna tell him, it will be a lot more fun that way.” Remus said with a grin. The hoodie wearing side breathed a sigh of relief.
“However you now owe me a favor.” The dark side said. Virgil grumbled to himself but agreed and asked what the favor was. The royal smiled widely.
“You have to help me beat Deceit’s high score in Mario cart.” The anxious side was surprised at first but then smirked.
“Sure, I’m not going to pass up the chance to piss off the snake.” The smaller jumped onto the bed as Remus summoned his switch that was nearly covered in stickers except for the screen.
After a few rounds of Mario cart Virgil still hadn’t won once and he was getting annoyed, especially since Remus wouldn’t stop saying how he was the ultimate champion of this game. In this round they where nearing the finish line and Virgil was in second place while Remus was in first. He had dodged all of the shells Virgil had thrown at him but he still had one more.
There’s no way I’m letting this rat man beat me again. Suddenly Virgil had an idea and a dark smile formed on his face.
“So Remus,” the purple side said as he lined up the shot, “how did your date with Logan go?”
“What?!” Remus was so surprised that Virgil somehow knew about his sorta kinda date with Logan that he fell off the bed. Meanwhile Virgil threw a green shell at him and finished in first.
“Yes!” The smaller side exclaimed.
“How in this wide terribly gruesome world did you find out about that?” Remus said from the floor. Virgil shrugged.
“Logan said that you helped him with some research or something while blushing so I figured you actually took him on a date.” The emo said while he leaned back on his pillow. He looked over at Remus who was now sitting on the bean bag looking slightly startled.
“Well I didn’t technically ask him on a date, I just offered to take him and give him a tour of the imagination.” The duke said while he messed with his white streak of hair. “I haven’t actually told him that I like him.” Virgil was surprised that Remus looked actually embarrassed saying this.
“I never thought I would see the day that you were nervous.” Virgil said honestly. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell Logan if you aren’t ready to tell him.” Remus gave him an incredulous look and started laughing like a mad man which slightly scared the smaller side. He suddenly stoped and got up.
“Thanks emo, I got to go or else De is going to get mad at me.” While the dark side walked to the door he messed up the purple wearing side’s hair until it defied gravity. “Wanna help me beat the record tomorrow since that slippery snake has such a freaking high score that we couldn’t beat it today?” The crazy side asked.
“Sure.” Virgil said, surprising even himself.
“Cool! Se yah tomorrow emo.” Remus said as he slammed the door loudly. The anxious side relaxed on his bed with a sigh. Even when just hanging out with the others being social was exhausting for him. He remembered that Thomas had some sort of event for tomorrow but Virgil doubted that he would need him for anything. As he was starting to drift off to sleep for a nap he had one last thought. Isn’t the wedding tomorrow?
Well I hope everyone if ready for some angst to come. Hope you guys have a good next 24 hours, bye!

The Forgotten - Part Six Return of the Nerd
Full story here
SMUT FO SHO MY BITCHES, CAUSE THATS HOW I DO!
Despite her failing protests Michelangelo personally escorted Aurora from the compound. She really had no choice in the matter, if she tried to fight him, she would attract unwanted attention and she’d be found out. Thankfully, Mikey didn’t seem too keen on bringing her to Bishop, he actually looked a little nervous as his eyes moved about the hallway seeming to keep her from full view of all cameras. But she had gotten what she wanted, confirmation of Bishop’s base, the one they had been searching for, for years. This was a good thing; it was a win in her eyes.
He walked her through the main gate making sure to keep his massive frame in front of the cameras and guards to shield her presence. This was all so surreal; so much had changed in the last few months. They went from trying to end her life to being unable to control their hormones like horny teenagers but still wary of her motives. She’d take it.
As they came to the edge of the compound’s boundaries Mikey stopped turning to look at the kunoichi. His large mitt palmed the side of Aurora’s throat before running up to cup her cheek. His rough thumb drug over her bottom lip and he let out a soft sigh which by the sudden bunch of his shoulder muscles was unexpected. His eyes scanned over her face and a look of contentment flash over his baby blues but morphed to concern. “Leo said you told him there’s something inside of us, all of us. What is it?”
Taking a deep breath, she let it out ready to give him some answers his overactive brain was so desperately in need of, “It looks like a tiny metal octopus, like smaller than an eraser head. It constantly moves so it’s difficult to locate inside the body and why we weren’t able to figure out how he’s been controlling you all. We only found out recently and by pure accident. If only we had Donnie…..”
“Donnie?”
Closing her eyes momentarily Aurora let out a heavy sigh and she looked up into his baby blues, “He’s your brother. He went missing almost four years ago, a year before you, Leo and Raph were taken.” Another deep breath, but she decided to keep the new formation of Donnie trying to return from him. If he was lying, which he had always been a horrible liar but just in case he grew some new skills since he was reprogramed Aurora kept that little nugget of info close to her chest.
Mikey cocked his head rubbing the back of head, she could see him wince a little and his eyes fog over. “He’s a genius….purple.”
“Yeah, you’re right….Mike did that hurt you to think of that?”
“It felt like someone was trying to drill into the back of my skull. Fuckin burns man.”
Aurora moved quickly around to the back of the terrapin and pressed her palm to the back of his bald crown. There, she fucking felt it, the flutter of something under his flesh caught between his skull and his scalp. She reached for his hand and yanked it back to replace hers. “There! Do you feel it?!”
It took him a few seconds to feel the movement but when he did Mikey’s body jolted with surprise. “What the hell? Fuck!” His fingers cupped it trying to grab at it. “There is something in me! Cut it out! Jesus get it out!”
“I-I can’t Mike, that’s your skull, that’s a little more important than your shin or arm. It could get infected I don’t want to lose you to something as stupid as that. Besides its dark and I have nothing to grab it. My fingers would be covered in blood and that thing would slip free.”
“Fuck, it’s gone.” He began to touch his skin trying to find it again.
“The skull maybe blocks the transmission a little? I’ve seen your x-rays; you guys have thick skulls. Maybe the mutagen? I don’t know…..” Slowly she took his hand in hers pulling them to her cheeks, the gesture stopped his frenzy. “Why didn’t you turn me into Bishop? I was at your mercy and you didn’t give me over to him. You could have easily done so?”
“Your eyes.” He cupped her cheeks and locked eyes, “They’re the windows to the soul. The first time we ‘met’ I could see the sadness and the happiness all at the same time. You were legit happy to see us and then it morphed to sadness then terrified. If we had never met before, which we were meant to believe, I would have expected you to be terrified, which is what most people experience when they first see us. But you were happy, relieved even. Fuck, you even knew our god damn names. Like, I was shooketh! When we got back to base and I confronted Bishop. Bishop told me you were a kunoichi, you were a seductress using your womanly wiles to make us doubt the mission and must have gotten our names from a captured soldier. But your emotions were genuine, so I had trouble brushing it off. Then Raph had his little meet and great with you. You didn’t try to take him, just trying to talk. And then Leo, you could have easily killed him after you sent him to dream land…..awesome job by the way…..but you let him fucking go. What kind of enemy lets their enemies go? You didn’t hurt either of them. When I saw you in the hallway and the way you looked at me when I pulled you into that room, I could see happiness again. No one is happy to see us, not even Bishop. Right now, I can see love.”
Aurora could see tears begin to form at the corner of his eyes and her body responded following suit. “You were always so intuitive Mikey. I do, I love you, I love all of you. I miss you so much. I wish I could take you home with me.”
“I know, I know not until you get this slippery little fucker out of us. Plus, I need to stay here and make sure my bros are ok. He cut up Raph to punish Leo for not fulfilling the mission last night.”
“He did what?! That’s Raph’s blood on your hands?! …..Mission?”
“Calm down he’s fine, nothing life threatening. Leo was supposed to get loose and tell us where you were, but he never reported in. I guess Leo found something a little more entertaining.” He chuckled half heartily. “I don’t blame him…”
“Speaking of, how are you doing down there champ?”
“Blue balls for sure, but I’ll be fine nothing I can’t take care of in a little bit. If it wasn’t for all the security a few hundred feet away I’d have that pretty little pussy of yours stretched over this cock until you were hoarse from screaming my name.”
Heat flushed her checks and felt the warmth of new arousal bloom in her abdomen at the thought. “I’d let you too. But I need to get out of here before they get suspicious. I mean when you came down that hallway you looked determined. Where were you heading?”
Mikey’s eyes widened, “Fuck! I was going to get more bandages! I gotta go! I’ll see you soon Blondie!” and just like that he was gone, running towards the base at top speed. As he reached the main yard he began weaving around and jumping over bodies until he was a speck entering back into the compound.
It took Aurora less time to head back to her bike still being careful of motion detectors, she took to the streets and as she was a good distance away, she slowed her bike to a stop and pressed the com in her ear.
“White skull to base.”
It took a few minutes, but the familiar voice of Casey came over the com his mouth apparently filled with food. “This is Base, go ahead White Skull.”
“We have confirmation. Disneyland has been located.”
She didn’t go home right away, the talk of Donnie made Aurora take a detour to the lair. She informed Casey of her next stop and made her way below the streets. Everything was how she left it, dark and empty. Lights began to flicker on illuminating the large space; she moved to the kitchen pulling out a water and cracked it open downing the entire contents in one motion. She moved slowly eyeing the closed door to Donnie’s lab and decided that was where she wanted to be.
The door opened without a sound and she slipped inside keeping the arch in view. She willed it to come alive with power, to give her back Donnie. As she reached the piece of vexing machinery her fingers ran over the smooth edges finding them surprisingly warm. The lair was naturally cool due to the depth it laid so for the metal to be warm was odd. She moved to the controls and looked for any activity, lights coming alive under the key of the board, a flickering on the screen indicating any type of activity? Anything……anything of Donnie……
Minutes turned to hours, but she remained glued to her spot. Something in her gut told her to stay, not to leave the lair, not yet. Swiveling in his specially designed chair Aurora picked up a small device on Donatello’s desk and spun it around in her hands. It was glass, a cube to be exact, the reflective qualities were gorgeous, a prism effect. It was a light he had been working on, powered by the warmth from one’s hands. It only took a few moments for the cube to begin to flicker with the variety of colors of a rainbow. The longer she held it the brighter it got. When it reached the desired brightness, she placed it back on his work bench and stared into the shifting hues.
He had yet to perfect the device, it only held the charge for an hour or two, but he was certain he was about to have a breakthrough with the conversion of power. Something with the helix bonds or whatever. She knew he’d get it; she just didn’t think it would take this long.
She began to doze mesmerized by the lit cube. Her eyes half closed unfocused on anything she was suddenly aware the light was getting brighter? Did he fix something about it before he disappeared? Blinking her eyes rapidly she focused on the cube finding it like how it should be, dulling with time. Then what was that bright light?
The sounds of electricity crackling began to rise in volume in his lab along with the pulsing of light she had mistaken from the cube. The source now tore her gaze from Donnie’s work bench to the very much active arch. The light grew in intensity nearly blinding her as Aurora stood from her seat. She shielded her eyes with her arms and watched the arch snap and flicker with power.
A circle began to open within its circumference swirling between a greyish color and a bright blue. Then it started to fluctuate, and a figure began to form inside the growing vortex. The lines were fuzzy keeping the picture unclear, but her heart jumped and clenched with anxiousness at the forming figure. It had to be, it just had to be.
Without warning a burst of energy blew from the vortex sending Aurora back with its unexpected force. She toppled over his chair and into a stack of computer parts scattering them across the floor and Aurora on her ass. She quickly got to her feet and found the arc now stable giving her a perfect view of the genius. There was no flickering now, no waves of misaligns data, just a clear as day view of Donatello and it was glorious.
With unsure steps she made her way around the new mess on the lab floor but kept every sense, every ounce of her concentration on the tall missing terrapin staring back at her through the newly working portal.
She didn’t know when she had started crying but her cheeks were soaked and her voice unsure, but she called out, “D-Don?”
Donnie face broke out into an exuberant smile and he reached down for what looked like a bag and hoisted it over his broad shoulder. His left leg rose and slipped through the portal falling onto the cement floor of his lab and the rest of his body followed suit until he was living, breathing, real flesh and bone standing a few excruciating feet away from the trembling woman.
His tall frame was dressed in new clothes, his legs covered in properly fitted grey slacks with expensive looking custom black boots on his massive feet, old gadgets were gone replaced with smaller fancier items. His backpack was missing but his goggles remained but looked to have gotten a major upgrade. She could see his bo was still there also looking newer. Gone were his broken turtle glasses replaced with black rimed frames that better fit his face making the nerd look more sophisticated. Did he look bigger? The clothes were throwing her off. Where the fuck has he been? The words were on her lips, but she couldn’t move, all her screaming muscles cried out to touch him but she was paralyzed by shock. Four years, it had been, four years since she had seen him in the flesh.
The heavy leather duffle was set down and Donatello looked her up and down and he let out a long, very happy shuttering sigh. “You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
His voice finally broke her from her paralysis, and she stormed forward leaping into his arms praying she wasn’t hallucinating but the solid body that caught her was very much there and very much real. He was home.
Her hands ran over him just to make sure, up and down his arms, over his neck to the top of his muscled shoulders. Her fingers worked the first few buttons free and felt the familiar scars and gouges of his chest nearly sobbing at the realization of his return.
“You’re here, you’re really here!”
“I am, god, it took so long but I’m here.” His finger hooked under her chin so their eyes locked. Purple and brown both flooded with happy tears. “I’ve missed you.” His lips found hers, soft at first growing with enthusiasm as Aurora responded with vigor.
As their mouths engaged and reengaged in desperate collisions Aurora began to finish stripping the genius of his fancy shirt. Her fingers pulled the fabric from his shoulders, down his arms until he was free. To her delight she was right; Donatello had been working on his fitness while he had been stripped from his family. Donnie had been no weakling by any means, the purple banned terrapin could easily crush a skull with his bare hands but he had bulked up in his time away. Eager fingers ran along the ridges of the solid definition squeezing hard with appreciation.
Their mouths broke free pulling in gulps of air and Aurora’s moved to his chiseled jaw line nipping at the scales until he was panting.
“Don” she mewled between open mouth kisses down his long throat, “Donnie……D……Donatello.” The more she moaned his name the louder he crooned until he reached for the hem of her shirt and pulled it free of her body in one fluid motion.
“Aurora.” He moaned cupping one breast with his free hand. Gently he squeezed and rolled the fabric over the mound finding the bud beneath peek quickly. His finger caught the bra and pulled it down releasing a breast to his gaze. With a heave Donnie lifted her higher so his mouth could cover the hot flesh sucking and nipping until her could feel the fabric of her pants dampen with her arousal against his plastron. “God, you smell divine. I want to taste you but I don’t think I can wait.”
There was so much to discuss, so much he didn’t know about. Donnie had no idea his brothers were no longer with the resistance and under Bishop’s control but he looked so happy in this moment and truth was so was Aurora. She would wait to break his heart, they would take this moment, they both needed it. It was a happy reunion and she was sure there would be more now with Donnie back. Gripping his cheeks she ground against him, “Then don’t.”
Donatello wasted no time and brought her over to his abandoned desk shoving everything from its surface. He dropped her down and yanked her boots and pants free of her body to begin fumbling with his belt. Aurora’s hands pushed them from the buckle and worked them free with trained ease. The button and zipper were next, teeth opening quickly but making sure not to harm the precious cargo beneath. When the massive erection sprung free of its confines Aurora’s hands were quick to gather the throbbing flesh in both palms.
The connection with hot flesh against her expert hands made Donnie groan in bliss. His hips shifted making his cock slide through her fingers and she gripped it firmly getting a shuttering sigh from the genius. Her finger found the dripping helm gathering the moister and ran the pad of her finger down the underside of his length staying with the pulsing vein. A hiss pulled through clenched teeth followed by a throaty call of her name. Aurora leaned back spreading her thighs giving him full view of her soaked folds.
His eyes blew wide at the sight and leaned forward grabbing her right thigh hoisting it up over his shoulder while pressing her back on the cold table. Reaching between them Donatello palmed his length running the spongy head through her folds drenching himself in her scent and essence. Donnie rumbled low closing his eyes to push the head of his cock just past her opening. He stilled at the tightness and the sound of Aurora’s hitch in breath. Rocking slightly he sheathed himself an inch before withdrawing nearly pulling free of her body.
“D-Donnie….please”
His eye opened looking down at his kunoichi, her face was beautifully flushed, chest heaving and her lips parted with rough breaths. Still only one breast freed from it fabric prison Donnie reached down to free the other. His large hands covered both mounds and the mutant eased more of himself into her, slowly, until every last inch of him was engulfed in the sweet wet heat of Aurora.
Both let out a shaky sign at their long past due union and Donnie leaned down to capture her mouth in a searing kiss. He pushed forward again and the pressure of his girth and length made the woman beneath him mewl, arching and twisting to get him to move.
“Patience Rora, it’s been far too long since I’ve had you.” Slow and deliberate he began to withdrawal tilting himself so he would drag across the roof of her canal. “…far too long.” Reluctantly his hands left her reddened breasts and moved to her hips snapping his own forward with deliberate intention of making Aurora more vocal. He was rewarded pleasantly when her head snapped back at the sudden reentry and a whimpering moan of his name erupted from her throat. It encouraged the deprived terrapin further and Donnie repeated the process at an agonizingly slow pace until she was pleading with him to fuck her.
Aurora reached up to grab the rim of the genius’s plastron and she pulled him down, her mouth finding his hungrily. Lips parted, tongues wound together and the long lost familiar taste of the genius invaded Aurora’s senses like a barreling freight train. It came and she sobbed into his mouth but didn’t’ break the dance.
The pained sound didn’t startle Donnie but he did pull her closer removing all space that was between them. “I’m sorry.” He pleaded between each drive of his hips. “I’m so sorry.” With each breathless apology his rhythm picked up rutting into the kunoichi with fevered abandon.
His mouth disconnected with hers traveling down to her throat nipping and sucking making sure to leave marks. It had been years since he had seen his own brand on her skin and he was determined to leave enough so each time she looked in the mirror these next few days he would be the only thing on her mind.
Aurora rocked into each plunge of his length whimpering with each strike into her depths. This was so much different than the other day. When she had Leo it was him physically but Leo wasn’t there mentally; he was in his head locked away but not present in the act, maybe to some extent but she couldn’t be sure just yet.
Donatello was here, all of him; mind body and soul and it made the reunion much more intense. As he drove her to the precipice her hands groped at the dense muscles of his arms dragging him back into her. She was desperate for every inch of him, every drop she was prepared to receive.
She could feel it, the beginnings of her peek. It started slow like an over flowing sink, the tingling sensation of her climax rolled in her cunt moving to the stretched lips of her labia swallowing his pumping cock.
Donnie growled feeling her walls started flutter around him, “Are you going to cum for me? I’ve been dre-ahh-aming of his moment for almost five years now. How many times I’ve imagined you under me to give myself a little piece.” His hips picked up in speed to help her along chasing his own in the process. “Cum.” He demanded. “Cum for Donnie.”
With his command it rolled up her belly and spread like wild fire as Aurora toppled over her peek. Her climax overtook her body tensing, arching into him and she screamed. Open mouthed echoing into the once vacant room she came undone around him.
“F-f-uck, so tight…..I’m gonna…….” One, two, three more pistons of his hips and Donatello drove forward one last time anchoring himself as far as her body would allow. His beak nudged Aurora’s head to the side to expose her throat and his teeth latched onto the slender column to hold his lover steady as he gave her his release. His cock pulsated painfully and finally erupted with rich ropes of his ejaculate flooding her insides. With each ebbing flow of his climax Donnie rocked into her body with small shallow movements until every drop of his seed was deposited into her womb.
It took a few minutes for both to calm down, clinging to each other unwilling to disconnect just yet. He was still seated within her as her fingers ran along the top of his shell in slow soothing motions. She didn’t want to move, she just wanted to enjoy being close to Donnie, he was back, real. His smell was soothing, and his slowing heart beat that thudded against his plastron would easily lull her to sleep. But now it was time for questions, time for answers and he needed to know about his brothers.
Aurora’s fingers moved to his skull and moved along the back to run down the base of his spin that transitioned into his carapace. He shuttered at the sensation and finally leaned up to look her in the eyes.
“Hi.” He whispered ghosting his lips over hers.
“Hey yourself, nerd.”
His brown eyes moved over Aurora’s flushed features taking her in, really looking her over for the first time in four years. He could she was happy, and sated for that matter but there as something else in those violet eyes. Then it hit him, they usually moved in pairs, one of his brothers should have been in her company. “Why are you here alone? Are they at the base?”
She knew who Don was referring too and shifted under him. “Don…there is something I need to tell you.”
Donnie’s lazy smile lowered his afterglow forgotten. Slowly he pulled from Aurora’s depths and helped her from the table. His lips pressed in a thin line. “No, please don’t tell me……..they’re…….”
Aurora quickly grabbed for his face not wanting him to finish the sentence. “No! No, they’re not.” She watched his tense body relax at the knowledge his brothers were not dead. “But…they fell under Bishop’s control. Over three years ago Bishop set up an elaborate plan to capture them, you as well if you were with us. He tricked us with false information from a faulty lead and trapped them in an electrified cage. We weren’t able to get to them in time before he stole them away. We barely made it out with our lives as it was. It broke me, broke us, I don’t think the resistance ever fully recovered from the loss of you all. Casey and I ran into them a few months ago for the first time since losing them after trying to confiscate a tech truck that they were overseeing. Leo…Leo nearly killed me. They didn’t know who I was.” Her finger ran over the scar on her abdomen. “But that meeting triggered something in them. All three of them were then drawn to me; I’ve had rather intense interactions with each of them since then.”
She watched the emotions run across his face; confusion, anger, sadness and finally acceptance. “We’ll get them back. I promise I’ll work day and night to continue my work on how he’s controlling them. We’ll find them, bring them home, I didn’t work my ass off for four years and across several dimensions to not see my brothers again.”
“That’s the other thing Don, we found it.”
“Found it?” He parroted tilting his head in confusion.
“What Bishop puts in his victims to control them. It’s back at the base at R & D for analysis. It looks like a tiny octopus. We just need to figure out the ‘how’ now, and cut the communication and…. fuck…. we found Bishop’s allusive base tonight too.”
Donnie cupped her checks and pressed another life stealing kiss to her mouth. With a pop he pulled away with a toothy grin. “You have been rather successful without us.”
Eyes closed she savored his taste licking her lips, he still drank coffee. They had that where he was? “It took us a bit but you came back just in time to give us a win.” Then her violet eyes snapped open and her palm pressed against his chest applying pressure until the mutant fell into his computer chair with a grunt. She then climbed back on top the genius’s lap and gripped the sides of his plastron looking him square in the eyes. “Now genius…..spill it, where the FUCK have you been?”
His hands went back to her hips and let out a sigh, “That night when I disappeared I had an epiphany; I came down here with an idea that this thing could help us.” His long arm gestured to his most recent ride home and returned to her lower back to rub the pads of his fingers along her still exposed flesh. “I was working to use it to access different dimensions….eventually: the nexus, new worlds but what if I used it for a simpler purpose? Move our soldiers from base to a target location to utilize the element of surprise? It would lower the chances of casualties by 30%. I was just going do a test honestly but I must have hit the wrong the button and found myself sucked into the arch and in a new world a very strange new world.”
“How strange?”
“Like another version of my brothers and I strange.”
Aurora’s mouth dropped open in disbelief. “More mutant turtles? Like you? Are you fucking kidding me?”
“Yes I know, it was rather a large shock for me let me tell you. I dropped right into their lair right on top of another Michelangelo. They looked a little different than us, shorter, no clothes besides leather obi’s, knee and elbow pads. Younger versions with their Master splinter still alive, same dynamic though, with Leonardo still as leader. Their Donnie was brilliant; making miraculous things with trash, a very resourceful terrapin in deed. He had made a battle shell, a shell sub and a sewer slider, plus others. Anyways, naturally they were rather distressed seeing my tall ass drop in on them in their home unannounced. After a few hours of telling them my story, and talking about my own brothers and their similarities, Donnie and his brothers agreed to help me get home. As you can see it took longer than we thought it would, finding the right components and a power source had proved more challenging than anticipated. Then finding the right coordinates proved another hurdle to overcome. I got here on accident so it was trial and error until I saw you the other day through the portal. It was the most glorious sight I had ever seen but the power course failed under the strain, which is why I couldn’t come through. We needed to reinforce it to support the transdimensional pull from the other dimensions trying to break through. After we fixed that problem and your face appeared clear as day on the other side I knew we had gotten it right.”
She looked at him absentmindedly running her palms over his exposed biceps, another dimension with more mutant turtle brothers? How many more she wondered quickly before shaking herself from the thought. “Did they have their own Bishop?”
“Yes, actually they do, and strangely enough as Donnie and I were working one night he confessed his own trip to another dimension or terrible future, he wasn’t sure. It was around our timeline and age; I guess their Donnie had disappeared without a trace as well. Mikey had lost an arm, Raph his eye and Leo his entire eye sight. Casey had passed and the villain was shredder. He had enslaved the entire world killing master Splinter in the process which threw a massive wedge between Leo and Raphael, a very violent wedge that kept them apart for years.”
“Fuck….I…”
“There’s more…… they managed to defeat Shredder with Donnie’s help but Leo, Raph and Mikey perished in the fight. It happened years ago and it still gives him nightmares. It would me too, watching my brothers die right in front of me. I don’t think I’d ever recover.” Wiping away a stray tear Donatello gripped her body tighter remembering she had to witness them all ripped from her. “All these years you had no idea what happened to me and then you lose the rest of them. I’m sorry, I’m sorry I couldn’t get back sooner. I promise we’ll get them back.”
She could see the anxiety rise in the genius as he began to process everything. How similar the scenarios were for both worlds and after everything he was still without most of his family. “Deep breaths Donnie, I need you level headed when we head back to base. I know we’ll get them back now that you’re back home. There’s a lot of work to be done and April and Casey are gonna be over the moon to see you. I’m so happy to see you.”
She was about to remover herself from his lap when she felt the head of his cock nudge against her entrance and soon found herself stuffed full of her genius once again. Donnie took Aurora two more times before he relinquished his hold on her and allowed her to dress.
Pulling her back into his embrace after watching Aurora tie her katana back to her hip Don pressed a few open mouthed kisses to her throat. “I’m sorry, I have four years of pent up need for you to work through. You’re not going to walk right for a week after I’ve had my fill.”
His voice dropped at the delicious threat making her shiver at his continued advances and lean into his plastron. “I was hoping you’d say that.”
The run back to base was pleasant with Donatello right by her side. His long legs made him naturally faster which pushed her harder to keep up with the lanky turtle but the occasionally view of his perfectly round cheeks wasn’t a bad thing either. She couldn’t wait to sink her teeth into them later tonight.
“White skull to base.” Aurora called into her com as they moved to the final block of their trek home.
“This is base, please go ahead White Skull.”
“Will you tell The Curator and Meathead that I’m bring home a present.”
“Will do, ETA?”
“Five minutes.”
“See you then.”
Donnie slowed down looking at his kunoichi. “You’re not gonna tell them I’m coming?”
“I wanna see their faces when they lay eyes on you. I wanna keep that memory forever and put it with the same one we’ll get when your brothers return home.”

Memories Of An Unseen Future..
Location: Avengers Campus, S.W.O.R.D Training Grounds State: New York Time: 4:00 PM ___________________________
Summer has come on Avengers Campus, which means a few things. Many students are either getting ready for their summer classes, going home for summer break, or they are just hanging out on campus until next semester. However, for the S.W.O.R.D Agents this is Finals Month for them. It is make or break for any agent in training and every cadet is putting their all into the last couple of days of training until the beginning of their final exam. One agent on the other hand was doing just that. Shooting down one target after another, Asher’s eyes quickly snapped to another hitting the mark on it carefully, almost methodically in a way. Which after shooting the last target he placed his weapon down and looked towards his trainer who was smiling. “Well Asher, I think thats it. You got the speed down and not to mention your hand to hand combat training is good enough thanks to some improvement and clean up.” His trainer watching the young Agent in training put his pistol in his holster.
“You know it too well bruv. Currently Im feelin’ mysel’ blood. Cant wait to be a full fledged agent an’ maybe I can call up’ m’family and take them out to go celebratin’ yeah?” He said which his trainer got a bit of a chuckle out from it. “Well Asher, I think Director Fury will seriously like you and who knows... maybe he may recommend you to S.H.I.E.L.D one day.” His Trainer spoke. “Yeah Blood, once that happens thats when I-” Asher spoke feeling a bit faint putting his hand up to his head grunting softly feeling faint, his body weak, and his knees turning to that of spaghetti which fell to his knees.
“Asher?!” His trainer spoke with worry as he fell face first.. only hearing the shouts of his trainer...
“ASHER!!!!”
then nothingness..... _________________________
Location: Avengers Academy Campus, Med-Bay State: New York Time: 12:00 PM __________________________
“What happened then, Asher?” The therapist asked looking at the Agent in training who was sitting on the couch just trying to think about what was going through his head at the time.
“Well what happened next I ‘ear someone callin’ man Agent Phoenix... which I wake up... an’ I see these dead soldiers inside some sort’o gunship thing or wha’not. So I get out an’ I see this fairground on fire along with an Academy...called Beacon also on fire.. like smoke bloody everywhere.. windows on fire an’ stuff.”
“So what happened next in your dream Asher....” “Yeah, man ‘ears the voice again tellin man like, they found a target cause of sum’ Atelier Intel.... or shite like that an’ I got huntin’ like killing these creatures in black... like they look like animals of some kind yeah... So man’ gets to where the target is... an’ I open the door I see this woman with a red dress with gold accents on it, orange eyes, white skin, an’ black hair.... and I pull out my modded pistol and tells her to drop her weapon.... and thats where it ends.” Asher explained looking back at the therapist of the Psych Department.
“I see, so Asher. I think this dream must be related with a premonition of some sort.. or maybe even something else.. or it could be stress related.” She said “Still thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to come here for this meeting.” She poke with Asher standing up and shaking her hand as he left the room with a soft sigh. “Just who was that woman in my dream?” Asher said to himself walking down the hallway and sighing softly.

A Deal With The Devil
Pairings: KamilahxMC
New York. The city where everyone dream to visit and admire its beauty. The busy streets overpower the voices in your head, the thousands of people walking by dont care who you are and the skyscrapers were higher than my hopes.
It was the perfect city for me. My parents got divorced five months ago and i needed a fresh start, a place to be who i always wanted to be. But how responsible can a 20 year's old girl can be?
I was naive enough to leave as soon as i could. My mother's words echoed through my mind "This city hides its danger behind its beauty" but back then i just laughed it off thinking it was her way to keep me close to her.
I am not from a big city. We lived in a barn a couple of miles away from humanity. I wasn't experienced in working but i helped my father with his finances enough to know what i love to do.
When i laid my foot in New York my breath was taken away from me. The skyscrapers covered the sun, the one higher than the other. People didn't give second glance at you because they were to busy to care. Back home everyone knew who i am, a shadow of my parents.
This was my chance to find myself and start over, no rules, no yelling, no stress. At least that's what i thought. Young me didn't knew that finding a job in a city this big was hard. My applications got passed to every possible place i could work in until i settled to a coffee shop near my apartment.
Luckily for me Lily was looking for a roommate and we loved eachother since we exchanged glances. She lived in a small place but we made it ours. She was usually playing video games in the living room when i was coming home and we always ate leftover pizza trying to beat eachother in Mario kart.
3 years ago I wasn't sure what life had in store for me, but be sure i didn't knew it would turn out this way.
It was a quite evening and me and my friend from work Lucy were about to close the shop when we heard the door bell ring, an elegant woman approaching. I sighed trying to put on my best smile trying not to give reasons for my boss to fire me.
She was on her phone texting god knows who but she was so consumed that she didn't even look me in the eyes when she ordered.
"One black coffee, and make it quick" she spoke like she owned the world, and i knew right away that i hate this person, at least thats what i thought at the time.
"I am sorry but we dont serve attitude" i responded quite proud of myself because my words were enough for her to get her eyes off her phone.
She smirked mischievously making me question if i should be scared but her eyes were so intense that everything slipped off my mind. They were caramel and bright. Her suit looked expensive and so did the neckless that hanged beautifully on her open blouse
"You don't know who you talk to do you?" She said not breaking eye contact
And that's when Lucy came to save me "Here's your coffee" she said handing her the cup but she didn't bother to look at her, she was to busy eating me with her eyes
"Why thank you, try to be more like her, at least she knows her place" and like that she flipped her perfect brown hair and left the store
"Ugh who does she think she is?" I rolled my eyes
Lucy looked surprised and i could tell but when she was about to say anything our boss came from her office furious
"I dont pay you two to chat, now go clean the counter before i think twice about keeping you here" she was a bitch if you couldn't tell yet but i needed the money.
___
Two weeks had passed since i was fired. I couldn't help but put my boss into her place. I knew i risked my job but my days haven't been the best. Each night i see weird dreams of people screaming of people dying, of blood being spilled.
Lily said it was all the horror movies we watch on the weekends and i believed it trying to avoid the reality that they felt to real to be just nightmares.
Losing my job was a slap on my face waking me up. I wanted to be more than a girl who worked on a coffee shop. Back when i was younger i was always handling my father's finances and i was quite good at it.
Maybe i am stupid to even send an application in one of the biggest Financial companies but i was desperate to prove anyone who doubt me wrong, let alone the payment was better than any other job
I honestly didn't believe that i would even get an interview but i did and it was today.
"Girl relax, its just a job interview" Lily tried to reassure me but i was to anxious to calm down, i really needed this job
"Yes, with one of the biggest companies that exist, honestly maybe i should cancel and--"
"Hey hey hey, calm down i am sure you will kick ass" she said smiling "but not literally"
I cracked a smile appreciating the effort but i just grabbed my coat and left not wanting to be late and make a bad impression
"I will call you when i am done Lil, Love you!"
___
As soon as i stepped out of the taxi my stomach turned. I was a nobody trying to be someone in the wrong place. I am sure qualified people from all around the world would kill the have this position but here i am outside of the big building scared to even enter
A kind gentleman opened the door for me and as soon as i got in i was greeted by a woman
"Are you Miss Parker?" she asked kindly
"Yes i am here for my interview" i said trying not to panic at the thought that in some minutes i will be talking to the most successful woman in the finance industry
"Well Miss Sayeed is having a meeting right now but it wont take long, please have a seat"
As i sat down i immediately relaxed. This sofa was better than my bed. Miss Sayeed sure had an expensive taste considering the lobby decoration, i wonder how her office looks like
And then it hit me, i didn't even looked up to see who this woman is and now i am sure i will fail miserably and--
"Miss Sayeed is waiting for you, the office is on the 100th floor, good luck" she said looking at me pitifully like she could read my thoughts.
The elevator was going fast yet slow, enough for me to try to think of an escape but it finally came to a stop and the weight of the situation sank in my stomach
There was a long hallway and on the end of it there were two big wooden doors. Surprisingly there wasn't any secretary desk or anything, just an empty bright hallway.
My heels clicked on the expensive marble floor and with every click that echoed on my mind my anxiety was becoming worse. When i reached the door I wasn't sure if i should knock but i did even though she was expecting me
"Come in!" I hear from the other side, and i could swear that voice sounded familiar.
I opened the heavy door as my heart was racing. The office wasn't as i expected it to be. Everything about it was unique and beautiful. There were artifacts everywhere accompanied by expensive vases and a desk in the middle of it all
The papers she was holding were hiding her face but she somehow sensed my hesitation and gestured at me to sit down
I sat on one of the leather chairs that were Infront of her desk and i could feel my heart beating fast on every part of my body.
She finally let the papers down and my breath was caught "No way" i managed to say looking stunned
"Oh my! I know you from somewhere" she said looking skeptical
I wanted the earth to swallow me whole the moment i looked into those familiar caramel eyes
"That's right, you are the girl from the coffee shop" she smiled but it was anything else than genuine
"I- yes i am.. i am Amy Parker" i said folding my hands trying to look as professional as i could. But it wouldn't matter, she saw me with a pathetic outfit on a coffee shop that i didn't even treat her good at.
I sighed but then i saw the amusement in her eyes, something that made my blood boil
"Well this should be fun, why don't you tell me what are you doing here, you couldn't get enough of me?"
I smiled sarcastically, god she was so cocky and it only had been three minutes
"If i knew you are this CEO everyone talks about trust me i wouldn't even send an application here" i said rolling my eyes but she didn't look mad, just curious
"On a serious note, why do you think you deserve a place in my company" she suddenly turned to serious in a blink of an eye
"I- um i am not as experienced as anyone here but i helped my father back home with the finances and i managed fine" i said proudly sitting straight to the chair
But her serious face broke as she started laughing "Oh wow you made my day, you think handling a small business and the world's biggest company is the same?"
My heart stopped at the sight. She was actually making fun of me and it felt familiar considering the opinion my parents had for me. Without realising it i frowned looking at the floor and Kamilah noticed
"I am--"
"Save it, i knew coming here was a mistake but thank you for confirming it" i said getting up in hurry, putting my coat on. I don't know why i even bothered dressing up for someone to insult me in my face.
"You think everyone is below you just because you have a company?" I crossed my arms as she looked at me surprised, like nobody ever questioned her words
"Excuse me?" She now stood up reminding me that she is much taller than me
"Excuse you yes, i heard all kinds of things about you but i never bothered to look who you were, and guess what they were right you are cold, heartless and so damn cocky"
These words came out of nowhere and i quickly covered my mouth scared that i would say worse things
She gazed at me with her intense eyes never leaving mine "Is that right? And you believe everything you hear?"
"I just saw it in the way you talked about me, forget it i dont belong here" and like that i walked towards the elevator only for four words to make me stop my tracks
"What about a deal?"
I turn around only to see her approaching me dangerously close "I will hire you, and if you prove me you are worthy i will take back everything i said"
How could she even make this a deal? Maybe this is how business people apologize but maybe just maybe this was my opportunity to show everyone my worth.
Her hand was extended studying my features to find any hint of hesitation but i took it in mine shaking it hard
"Game on Sayeed" i said with determination in my eyes

Something’s Missing Chapter Four
The pain in Medic’s chest was unbearable and so was the pain in Pyro’s stomach. You could say they were even now.
Pyro’s vision was blurred with tears, “I’m sorry,” he repeated over and over again.
Medic looked at the Pyro. He couldn’t think. The pain was just too much. He did the only thing he truly remembered. Healing.
Pyro had stopped apologizing. He was out of breath and his head felt fuzzy. He looked up and saw Medic staring down at him.
Medic kneeled down, “I’m going to use stitches it would take to long to get the medigun ready,” The doctor sounded completely apathetic to the situation. The truth was he was trying to mask the embarrassment of not being able to turn the machine on.
“Thank you,” Pyro winced as the needle pierced his skin.
Once Medic had finished stitching and disinfecting the wound reality began to catchup with him again. The scalpel still lying on the floor where he’d dropped it, no longer glistening because it was covered in drying blood. Pyro’s blood.
“What happened?” Medic’s voice quivered as he sunk to the floor.
“You stabbed me.” Pyro said trying to avoid the topic. He wasn’t upset just hurt, mentality and physically.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know what I was doing. I just needed- never mind… I don’t need anything from you.” Medic immediately regretted adding that last comment. It felt so wrong to say.
Everything was beginning to look blurry even though he was wearing his glasses.
“Why do I want you?” Medic didn’t mean to say that but he’d already said so there was no point in taking it back.
Pyro didn’t know how to answer that question. Saying “Because you love me” just sounded wrong and he also hated speaking for other people. It had happened to him to many times to count.
“I’ll take your silence as an ‘I don’t know’, Well thats great someone else who’s as clueless as I am.”
“I’m not clueless I’m just confused and upset and I think you are too.”
“I have another a question you might have an answer too. Why do you keep bothering me?”
“That’s because I love you and- and I know you’re memories are in there somewhere and Engi told me you were ran to your lab and I don’t think you should be alone.”
“Please don’t that you love me. It hurts so much.” Medic’s voice broke.
“I’m sorry I just-”
“I don’t want an apology I want you to stop.”
Medic just wanted all the pain to stop, his throat was beginning to feel like little knives were tearing into it, and his vision was even worse.
Pyro suddenly got up and despite the pain made his way to Medic.
“What are you doing,” Medic could barely speak.
Pyro brought a gloved hand to Medic’s face trying to wipe away the doctor’s tears “You’re crying.”
“I asked what you were doing not- oh I am” How could he have not noticed that?
Pyro had only seen Medic cry like this one other time and he hasn’t noticed until it was pointed out him either. This was bad Medic only cried when he was really upset.
“I can go away if you really want me to,” Pyro knew how embarrassed Medic must be feeling right now and he began to pull away.
“NEIN!” Medic latched on to Pyro’s arm made him jump and surprised himself, “I mean you’re injured so it would be better if you stay.” His voice shook as he forced out the words trying his best not to sound like he was crying, he began to lessen the grip he had on Pyro’s arm but he couldn’t bring himself to let go completely. He suddenly hated his gloves and the Pyro’s fire proof suit. 'What’s happening to me? I just stabbed him now I want to hold him.’ Medic thought feeling ashamed of himself.
Pyro didn’t move and didn’t make a sound. He didn’t want to scare Medic away. He also was horrified. He didn’t want to set the doctor off again. He knew it could have been so much worse. He realized Medic was looking at him, waiting for him to say something.
“I won’t go anywhere, I promise.” Pyro said doing his best not to move, but his arm was beginning to fall asleep.
“Good,” Medic felt so relieved he couldn’t be alone, well Archimedes was there but, sadly birds couldn’t comfort him the way Pyro- a human could.
Medic finally let go of Pyro. He made his way over to his desk. His tears had subsided enough for him to read the papers in front of him. They made little since. The upgrades he must have made to the medigun over the years had made his beloved machine completely foreign to him.
The Pyro sat on one of the operating tables, trying his best to entertain himself without his lighter. No matter how much he wanted to he could not go to the happy place. He needed to stay completely with Medic.
“DAMMIT,” Medic slammed his fist on the table causing Pyro to jump and Archimedes to flutter away, “This makes no sense how am I supposed to understand this nonsense!”
“Maybe you should ask Engi about this tomorrow. You did a lot of work with him, and right now you should try and get some sleep.”
“Sleep? Sleep when I feel like this!” Medic had gotten up and was making his way toward Pyro, his body was shaking with rage and he fear. He didn’t want to be anywhere near darkness, “I ca-” Medic collapsed, Pyro caught him before he hit the ground.
“Are you okay?” Pyro held Medic in his arms.
“I’m fine just tired,” Medic finally let go of his pride, “You’re right I do need sleep, I apologize for my outbursts.”
“It’s okay.” Pyro said glad that he’d kinda gotten through to the Doctor.
Medic relied on Pyro a little more than he liked but it was nice to feel someone else supporting him.
Pyro guided Medic to one of the operating tables that could function as a bed if need be.
“I’ll be right back.”
Medic shot up “You can’t go anywhere you are under my orders to stay here! What is so important to you that you decide to disobey them?” He said frantically.
“I’m sorry I was just going to get you and I a blankets”
“Oh…” Now that he thought of it he was kinda cold,“Well I suppose that would be acceptable. Just be quick about it.”
Pyro put on his mask and gave the Doctor a thumbs up and power walked down the hallway. The pain in his stomach wasn’t that bad anymore.
While Medic sat there alone. Alone. No he couldn’t be alone. Archimedes was there. But he didn’t see her. He didn’t see anything it was all dark.
“Not again! Pyro! Come back! Don’t leave me again!” The darkness surrounded him threatening to swallow him whole. Suddenly he was jerked away from his nightmare.
“Medic what happened? You were yelling and scared!” Pyro had his hands on his shoulders, his mask was off again and he look about as upset as Medic.
“It was nothing- I was just- uhh- I guess I’m just scared.” Medic admitted.
“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have left you alone like that.”
“No its not you its well- embarrassing.”
“Medic,” Pyro’s voice had turned serious “I’m a grown man who has a stuffed unicorn and my favorite color is the rainbow. There is nothing you should be embarrassed about telling me.”
“Really?” A smile crept across Medic’s face. Pyro nodded, and Medic started to chuckle. Pyro was thrilled that was the happiest he’d seen Medic since he came back. “That’s adorable.”
Sadly Medic’s happiness had left as soon as it appeared. He remembered what they were talking about. “I’m afraid of the dark.”
Pyro was confused for a moment and then he remembered his dream, how there was darkness all around them. Pyro decided not to bring that up right now. Medic looked so tired and he was exhausted too.
“I can leave the lights on in here if it’ll make you feel better.”
“That would be nice.”
Pyro handed Medic a blanket and walked to the corner of the room he liked to stay in. “If you need anything just ask.”
Medic nodded.
He held the blanket for a moment. It felt so familiar. He laid down and tried to sleep.

Save Me: Chapter 20 - I Loved You
~Hey Guys! Chapter 20 is out now ❤️ Molly breaks from Negan’s hold in the only way she can...I hope everyone enjoys and love you all ✌🏻💞 Chapter 21 will be out on Sunday~
Molly felt weakened, but not broken. Never broken. She had to avenge her family, even if that meant destroying the man she loved.
Dwight and Sherry were in place, turns out that they were my real saviours. All that was left was for me to do what I had to.
My eyes glistened with past tears, they were almost glass-like like a doll's. That's how I felt now, like I'd been played with and used.
Treated by the one person I loved more than life itself like an emotionless puppet.
I was filled with hatred now, for me and him.
I had my gun ready, now out of its holster. Keeping the other gun I took from the armoury, hidden.
Just in case, I thought.
Walking from the armoury to his room felt like a lifetime, everything became blurred and all I could hear was the sound of my own breathing.
I knew that he would be in a meeting, it was all part of my plan.
I walked through the threshold, into his room. His scent lingered on every possession, even me.
The room used to feel light and airy, now it suffocated me. The stifling heat from the closed windows, encircled me, like I was standing too close to the sun.
I didn't know it back then, but thats how it always was with him, too close, much too close.
I had everything laid out, I just wanted to get through it and leave that god forsaken place.
All I wanted was to erase him from my memory, to pretend like it was all a bad dream, but one that I never wanted to end.
The photos, I kept with me, like a reminder of my mistakes.
I took them out of my pocket and sprawled them across his bed, forcing him to take a look.
To take a look at everything he had taken from me, from my family and everything that he had now lost.
I didn't shake now.
My hands were steady, my tears were dried, like salt crystals on my skin.
I was empty, like a hard shell and yet he still hadn't broken me like he wanted when I first arrived.
That gave me power.
I held my gun in my hands, I didn't want to surprise him or entrap him, I wanted him to see when he walked through that door so he knew in that moment.
I waited for two hours, until he came.
I knew it was him, I could feel his closeness, his tie to me.
Every footstep made my heart pound faster and harder until it stopped.
The door glided open and he saw me.
I stood there in front of him, by the bed and just next to the photos.
I looked at him like I never had before, the truth was that I'd never felt what he'd made me feel before.
It was indescribable. No scowl, no anger, no tears. Nothingness, that's what I felt.
But how can you describe what nothing feels like?
He looked straight at me, first surprised, then seeing my gun he knew. He didn't beg for his life, he was ready.
'Molly...' he said calmly and stepped towards me.
'Don't come any closer, I don't want you near me, ever again. After today, I want you to know that this was the moment that you lost everything. I don't want to talk about it, what you did. We both know what you did. I loved you and you used me. But you see, now I'm glad because I now know who you are, who you really are...' I replied calmly.
Sorrow twinged in my voice, but I threw it straight back.
I couldn't let him hurt me anymore. He looked at me with a exhausted sadness in his eyes, which lifted at every word I spoke, like the weight of carrying around such a burden was finally lifted and he was free.
But I never would be.
He stood still, Lucille dropping to the floor.
His gaze drifted to the bed as he saw the pile of photographs. No emotion, no regret just pure numbness.
How cold he was now.
He nodded slowly, and looking down he said wearily 'I love you'.
It pierced through my heart like it never did before.
Those three words were now tainted with bitterness, like he was mocking me.
I cocked my gun and aimed it at his heart, how fitting this would be.
This would be the end of him, after today, Negan would be dead. But not the man.
I released the trigger as I shifted my aim to his stomach, missing all of the vital organs.
He dropped to his knees instantaneously, clutching at his pulsating wound. He looked up at me, half in disbelief, half in pride.
People would have heard the gunshot and would be making their way to the corridor now.
I made my way to the door and glanced back at him, he looked at me and through strained breathing said 'go'.
He had always promised to let me go and now he had.
My eyes started to flood once again as my gaze left him for the last time.
I ran down the corridor and took the steps down to the basement where Sherry and Dwight would be waiting.
The ex-wives were instructed by Sherry to hold off the Saviours until I was gone.
I heard yelling and fast footsteps behind me, a Saviour was gaining on me. I had no choice.
I kept running and spun around and shot him in the head.
He dropped immediately, lifeless onto the hallway floor where I had once been before.
I hesitated for a second before I kept running and rapidly descended the stairs.
There I saw Sherry and Dwight, the basement door was wide open and a motorcycle was ready.
'Hurry!' Dwight shouted as I ran towards them.
Sherry handed me my helmet and Dwight positioned the bike.
Nodding to them both, I hopped on the bike, keeping my gun in my hand.
I revved the engine, 'thank you' I shouted, they nodded with a slight smile.
'Go!' Sherry said nervously.
I nodded in return and made my way to the gates. They were locked. Fuck.
I heard a group of Saviours rush out onto the courtyard, their guns aiming at me.
I heard shots fly all around me, I ducked and dodged some until I got hit.
A rush of pain soared to my left thigh and blood started to ooze from my jeans.
I winced and sped up, aiming my gun at the padlock I shot at it a couple times until it flew wide open.
I zigzagged through the courtyard until I connected with the gates which flung open once they hit against the bike.
I was free.
I had no clue where I was going, I just knew that I needed to keep driving.
My leg throbbed as I drove, I kept pressure on it which seemed to work for a while but I knew that it would need to be wrapped up soon.
I was battered and bruised leaving that place, every bone in my body should have ached.
But I felt nothing, nothing except the sharp awakening pain of leaving him...
Hilltop - Tara's POV//
Rick and Michonne had argued for weeks, but she had taught him that Negan would never stop.
Rick was scared of losing anyone else but seeing Michonne and Carl gave him the energy to fight, one last time.
They walked towards the gates to see Maggie on guard at the top, I saw her smile in relief as she saw them enter.
We were reunited.
Rick pulled Maggie in for a hug and asked about the baby. Maggie was full of hope and fight.
It was at that moment that Rick knew that there was only one way through.
Rosita, Sasha and I welcomed them into Hilltop and told Rick that Daryl had made it home.
His eyes lit up to reveal Daryl at the gates.
Daryl eyes were filled with sorrow as he pulled Rick into a hug as I hugged Michonne.
Daryl handed Rick his gun which he had taken back from the Sanctuary.
We were ready.
Rick moved over to me, 'Have you heard anything about Molly?' he asked worriedly.
I just shook my head wearily.
'We haven't heard anything from Dwight' I said softly.
Rick stroked my arm in comfort.
'She'll be okay, we all know how strong she is' he said reassuringly, my eyes lit up slightly in belief.
Everyone was smiling and talking and Sasha knew that this would be her moment.
We didn't know it at the time but Sasha had told Maggie she would be back in a minute, but instead escaped down the log hatch.
She wanted to kill Negan herself.
Sasha's POV//
I had to do this. Everyone wanted to fight, but I could end this sooner.
They were planning on going to Alexandria to fight the Saviours when they came so I had to leave before they left.
I walked for miles until I found it.
Rosita had drawn me a map months ago, I pretended I was just curious but it had been my plan for a while.
The wired fencing, people walking around the courtyard, the decaying building. This certainly looked like the place for such a man.
I scowled as I looked through my binoculars. I was far enough away so that they couldn't see me.
I focussed on a figure who seemed to be ordering people around.
On closer inspection, I saw Eugene. I audibly gasped, he was fine and completely unharmed.
Thriving, actually.
I packed a sniper rifle in my backpack, because I didn't plan on getting too close. I waited, for hours.
The sun was setting now. Eugene had come and gone all day, but now Negan stepped outside.
I readied my rifle, I tried to get a clear shot but Eugene covered him. I couldn't hit him without hitting Eugene.
Goddamn it.
Negan moved strangely, like he was uncomfortable, perhaps even wounded. Still, he bowed heads with Eugene and smiled. Was he working for them?! Bastard. I had to get closer.
I moved towards the gates once the sun had set. People were starting to go inside so there was less chance of me getting caught.
Of course, saviours would be on duty through the night but I would stick out less.
I snuck round to the side gate where the cars were so that they would block me. I used my pliers and cut a hole in the fence.
At this I heard the side door open and a shadowed figure stepped out. I ducked behind the car and waited. It was Eugene. I sighed in relief and stepped out to see him.
'Eugene! It's me. Come with me, I can get you out of here' I whispered pleadingly, he just looked at me with panic in his eyes.
'I must decline. I am Negan. I must ask you to leave these premises with immediate effect' he said looking around anxiously.
I looked at him with scepticism, 'what?!' I whispered.
'Your mission has failed' he said as he walked back inside.
'Eugene!' I shouted after him. He didn't look at me. I sighed in frustration.
So, I peeled open the fence and ran in after him.

Diabolik lovers Chaos Lineage: Ayato Sakamaki (Story 08 + CG)
Prepare your tissues, this Chapter was amazingly soft from the very beginning ⊂(・ω・*⊂)
Place: Orange Mansion — Ruki's bedroom
Ruki: Now, tell me more what happened between you two. I’m very interested in what you will say.
Yui: ...Yes
(Ayato-kun was allowed to sleep in his bed and rest in his room as promised)
(The condition for the exchange with Ruki-kun was that I will explain what happened, but where should I start?)
Ruki: Ayato, who had gone mad, had finally returned to normal and I hope this won't change anymore.
But, above all, what is with your attitude? You two are acting like lovers who haven't seen each other for ages
Yui: Y-Yeah...
Ruki: After all, as you know, we don’t understand the situation we're in at the moment
...or is it something I just can't understand?
Yui: Huh...
Ruki: I asked a similar question before. Don’t tell me any trivial things
The story you mentioned was hard to believe until now, honestly, even now the meaning is still unknown.
Yui: It can't be helped, because it got worse every time I tried to make anyone understand the situation
Ruki: Can you understand Ayato now?
Yui: ...Yes
(— he restored his memories...)
Ruki: I see...
That's all I want to hear. You can go back to your room
Yui: Oh? But I didn’t explain the circumstances yet...
Ruki: I heard that I can’t understand it? Then it would be a waste of time
However, just knowing that Ayato has something to hold onto is enough now
Yui: Alright...
Ruki: Eve, you should go and visit Ayato
Yui: Eh, is that okay?
Ruki: Originally, after he caused such a disturbance I didn't want you to get closer to Ayato
— but now, the situation changed
Yui: What is it...?
Ruki: According to the report of Kanato and Shin who went to reconnaissance
It seems that other mansions have set their sights on here in earnest
Yui: —!
(Other mansions like the residences of Carla and Reiji's...)
Ruki: It is a disadvantageous that one of our members is lacking. It isn‘t good if Ayato won’t return to the main condition as soon as possible.
He is an important part of the our "family"
Yui: Thank you I appreciate it!
Ruki: It is not to be grateful to you. It is for the sake of our own mansion
To think about it. I was taking care of it until now, and I decided to leave it to Eve because the situation changed...
Yui: ...
(After all I’m only used. Even now, I can’t help but I will accept that position—)
Ruki: Are you refusing it?
Yui: That's not it. I'll do it. Please let me do that
Ruki: It’s decided then
Yui: Yes exactly
Ruki: Ah. At first I thought that Eve was sucked and going to be killed ...
The state of Ayato I saw in prison was neither a blood-starved beast nor a child playing toys
Yui: (It reminded me of one memory ...)
Ruki: Apparently something seems to have changed Ayato, so I can understand
Yui: ...Yes, true
Ruki: Hm, above anyone else it seems Eve is obsessed with Ayato
Yui: ... !
(Oh, that's... I can’t deny it... since I am clearly in love with Ayato-kun)
(I don’t want to answer, but I can’t ignore it either. It’s just bit embarrassing...)
Ruki: You seem to like him, do you really want to be with that guy?
Yui: Yes I do
Ruki: — You haven‘t changed your mind. Now then, go to him quickly
Yui: Yes. Thank you Ruki-kun
(Let's go visit Ayato-kun! Here I go!)
Ruki: I don’t know what exactly changed Ayato
The doors to become king were opened, but they weren’t opened for me ...
Anyway, I will see if Ayato really is chosen as king by Eve
Place: Orange Mansion — Hallway
*Yui knocks*
Yui: Ayato-kun may I enter?
Ayato: Sure come in
Yui: I’m coming in
(I wonder why I am so nervous...)
Place: Orange Mansion — Ayato’s bedroom
Yui: Huh...
Ayato: Hey
Yui: (That smile on his face... It's not a dream. That’s true, I am back to the man I fell in love with—)
...Ayato-kun!
*Yui hugs Ayato*
Ayato: Wow!? Hey, why are you jumping at me like that!
Yui: I‘m sorry. I just got overwhelmed with happiness
Ayato: Just kidding. I missed you doing unexpected thing like that
Yui: But, you fell down right? Is your condition okay?
Ayato: Yes, at that time the dazzling was causing my lose of consciousness, but I’m all fine now
Yui: (Thats good, I’m glad to hear it. Ayato-kun’s really back...)
Your memories finally returned
Ayato: Correct
Yui: ... I can’t... Believe they are... I’m so happy about that...
Ayato: You look like you will cry soon. Don’t hold them back anymore
Yui: (Oh... I'm not holding back. I'm finally... relieved—)
(— The real Ayato-kun has returned.)
Did you really remember everything?
Ayato: What is it, you really can’t believe what I tell you
Yui: That’s...
Ayato: I promise you my memories are back, my head was overflowed with memories so I couldn’t handle them and fainted.
Of course, I’m forgetting what I did until now in this mansion...
I only remembered because I forced my fangs in your skin, everything...
Choices
1) — It’s okay (white) ♡ ♡ ♡
2) — I was scared (black)
— It’s okay ♡
Yui: No, it’s fine. Your memories were strange, there wasn’t another way to remember
Ayato: You’re as kind as usual. No wonder I even aimed for you without any memories
Yui: Nobody restored their memories yet! ...Nobody besides Ayato-kun
Ayato: Hehe that’s true! Well, if you are that kind to anyone else, I won’t forgive you!
Yui: Yes, of course
— I was scared
Yui: I was scared...
Ayato: ...Forgive me. — Even if you can’t forgive me...
Yui: (Ahh, the atmosphere got dark pretty suddenly)
(Its not his fault that his memories were wrong, he couldn’t help it.)
end Choices
Ayato: Besides, I also heard weird voices all the time
Yui: Voices?
Ayato: Yes... 『Become the king』 that’s what the voices told me all the time...
If I couldn’t become king, I felt that there was no meaning in life
So I was impatient and I got irritated from you.
But, I told you already didn’t I? You are the most precious person for me
Yui: I...
Ayato: Whats with that expression of yours so suddenly
Yui: Oh, I am...
(I feel stupid. I tried to say something but his words totally surprised me)
Ayato: If you weren’t here, I might’ve never remember anything
What is it. You look like you have sth to say...
Yui: Ahh, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry I couldn't help more quickly! I tried so hard
Ayato: Oi! Why did you apologize now!? I am the one trying to apologize to you?
Yui: I'm sorry I didn't notice
Ayato: You never change. But I’m happy you believe me now
Yui: ...Y-Yes. I do
(Good. I was worried about his injuries, but they seem to be fine.)
That’s right. I’m kinda hungry
(From now on, I have a lot of things I want to talk about with him)
(But first of all he needs to get better)
I’ll make sure to make great food for you!
Ayato: Oh? Oi, where are you going? I don’t need any food
Yui: But I want Ayato-kun to be more healthy.
Besides, I want to give something back to you and do whatever I can to support you
Ayato: Uh, well, if that’s really okay for you. Make whatever you want
Yui: Sure. I‘ll make sth special
Ayato: If you make mazui mon, i’ll punish you.
(Admin note: That’s sth like sushi)
Yui: Okay, I will make sth you like
*Yui leaves*
*time passed*
Yui: I’m back! I made Ayato-kun's favorite food today
Ayato: Takoyaki!? They look pretty weird. Did you have all the ingredients for them?
Yui: No, I had a hard time because there was something missing
I tried to use sth different, so the taste might be a little unusual from the original
Because there was no form they don’t share the exact shape either
Ayato: Hehe, they really look weird
Yui: But it is a self-made product, please come on!
Ayato: Let's go ahead ...
Yui: ... ? Are not you going to eat? What's wrong?
Ayato: I came up with a better idea
Yui: What is it?
Ayato: How about you feed me
Yui: What?!
(It's kinda ... embarrassing... )
Ayato: What's wrong?
Yui: (This feels somewhat unusual but, it feels as if Ayato-kun has gotten sweeter)
(It's been a long time since we did something more couple like, so it's okay to give up.)
Never mind. Since there was no toothpick, can I use a fork?
Ayato: Sure
Yui: Hm .. yes then
Ayato: Ahh... hm— it’s amazing!
Yui: (It looks like he likes them. Somehow... he’s very cute when he acts happy.)
Ayato: I want another one. Ahh~
Yui: Yes, sure, open wide
Ayato: Hm ... they are great! After all Takoyaki is the best!
Yui: That's right, Fufu
*time passes*
Ayato: *sigh* That was delicious
Yui: Although I had made it quite a while ago, he ate it in no time
Ayato: Well, those were still delicious
Yui: Yes. They were good
Ayato: You worked hard on them I assume
Yui: Thats because, I wanted Ayato-kun to be happy
Even if I had some troubles, I did it because the usual Ayato-kun came back after such a long time
I did my best to make delicious Takoyaki.
Ayato: You really we’re lonely. That’s why, I’ll never let you go again
Yui: Ayato-kun
Ayato: Jeez, don’t start crying
♡Roses♡
Yui's cheek: Stop crying already...but, I’m sorry for leaving you alone like this... I really missed hugging you.
Ayato's hand: I’m here now, and I’ll make sure to never let go of you again.
Ayato: Nn...
Yui: Nn ...
(Ayato-kun's kisses .... they are very soft and sweet... it makes me feel numb in my head.)
(Those are my favorites.....)
Ayato: This is a make up. I‘ll be gently and slowly suck your blood. Ahh... Hmm
Yui: Oh, Ayato-kun... !
Ayato: Ah... Hmm...
Yui: (I don’t mind. It's very gentle and polite blood-sucking, different from when Ayato-kun's memories were strange.)
(I am very happy to see this Ayato-kun ...)
Ayato: That’s a good face .... I will do whatever you want, because I like this mood now
Yui: Oh, my ear... !
Ayato: Kukuku, what is it, you like it right?
Ahh... Hmm... Ahh...
Yui: Oh, Ayato-kun, please. I can’t think of anything else except Ayato-kun!
(I'm more then happy right now .... I'm glad he got back his memories.)
(If I’m always able to touch him like this, I will be absolutely okay.)
(Ayato-kun... I love you—)

A Silent Devotee Part Eleven- Aftermath
Part Eleven- Aftermath
Draco Malfoy x Reader
Warnings: None, a tad of angst, Draco being sad and then a bit of an idiot ...so the usual.
Word Count: 2.1k Series Masterlist Part Twelve
After the news spread that Dumbledore was dead a lot of students left Hogwarts, angry and scared parents came to collect their kids and bring them home where they deemed it to be safe, in reality there was no safe place. Hogwarts used to be considered the safest place but now that Dumbledore was gone that was no longer true.
You feared for your friends, especially the ones who weren’t purebloods, they had a target on their backs with the rising of the Death Eaters and Voldemort. A lot of non purebloods were pulled from Hogwarts, simply because there blood status was a known thing at Hogwarts, it was like leaving them in a trap for Voldemort to come easily collect.
A lot of people went into hiding too, scared to be seen although attendance at Hogwarts was now made obligatory by the Ministry. If you didn't send your child to Hogwarts it would be seen as an act of rebellion against the Ministry, putting yet another target on your back. You were pureblood, which did not necessarily mean you were perfectly safe but it did mean you were safer than most. You decided to say at Hogwarts, at least for the funeral like most did your parents wouldn’t dare let you stay home you thought.
After the funeral service you were sat waiting for the others with Hermione. You expected Harry to hate you, blame you, but he knew where your heart lied and what happened was simply out of everybody's control. He didn’t mention anything of that night again.
“Y/N, we are leaving after this, you know.” Hermione admitted to you sadly.
“Well I assumed you would, and Harry. But where will you go, where is there safe to hide?” You questioned thinking of a place free from Death Eaters, maybe Canada.
“We aren't running away? Have you met us!” She half joked.
“I guess I wasn't thinking, I just...just be careful I know you guys are planning something. Not the type to stay here and follow rules, whatever you’re doing good luck. If you need anything just ask.”
“We can ask Y/N for help or Y/N and Draco?” She teased but was sort of serious.
“You can trust me, we aren't one person, I have a mind of my own.”
“Yeah a mind that's madly in love and would do anything to protect Draco.”
“Hey, I’d do the same for you.” You admitted honestly.
“I know you would, that's why you’re so likable, so much love and kindness and you have no fear of running out, you give and give, I just hope Draco doesn't take too much from you.” She said placing a hand over yours caringly.
“He won’t, don't worry about me. I will be fine here I don't have quite as big of a target on my back.” Hermione stood up as the others walked towards you, grief written on their faces, deep in thought.
Before they reached you she whispered so they wouldn't hear. “Is that why you’re sleeping with a Death Eater, for safety?” She smiled but only so you could see and raised an eyebrow , you couldn't laugh or yell or argue, you just let your mouth drop and tried to yell at her with your eyes, she just looked away and took Ron's hand walking ahead of you.
The whole group stopped and talked about anything else, trying to get their minds off what just took place. Molly Weasley started talking about the upcoming wedding of Fleur and Bill, although Bill was injured the other night it was still happening.
“You kids are all still coming yes?” Molly asked as cheerily as she could.
“Yeah mum we will be there.” Ron answered in a monotone voice and continued his conversation with his friends.
“You can come too dear!” Molly said to you even though she barely knew you, just wanting to include everybody.
“She could come but her date can’t.” Ron said flatly, not meaning to be rude but after Draco poisoned Ron you didn't expect them to get along any better, even if it was an accident. Molly made a “tsk” noise at her sons comment.
“That’s okay, we will just send flowers.” You smiled sweetly.
“We don't want Malfoy flowers.” Ron said, in a more playful tone, just trying to push your buttons.
“Well it’s not your wedding now is it?” You teased back and Hermione blushed lightly, probably imagining the scenario in her head.
Ron just rolled his eyes and they all said their goodbyes.
You got back to your room, the hallways were mostly empty instead of filled with light, there was pain and sorrow hanging in the air like a thick fog that weighed down on your heart. The paintings seemed less lively and the school a little less magical without Dumbledore. Classes and exams were cancelled and postponed until they decided what they would do so you waited around for Draco to come see you again, you weren't even sure where Snape took him when they left.
You woke up to the feeling of someone tapping your shoulder lightly, as if they almost didn't want to wake you. Opening your eyes you saw Draco and didn't hesitate to move back and pull him into bed with you, no need to even cast a silencing spell, all your roommates had left.
You laid there in silence as he placed his face in the crook of your neck, your t shirt was low collared so his face was directly against your skin, you immediately felt hot tears trickle down your neck and felt Draco sob, his whole body shaking in your arms.
“I...I just…” He tried mumbling, wanting to speak all the words of sorrow, fear and regret that were pounding against his skull. You just cooed in his ear “Shhh.” You whispered rubbing his back soothingly and pulling him closer squeezing him against you, you knew he liked that.
“I missed this, I missed you so much.” He cried and cried, you just said comforting things back to him.
He started trying to talk about what happened but you shushed him yet again, insisting sleep was more important. It took a while too, longer than usual for his breaths to become less labored and for his tears to dry up. You stayed awake until you felt him still against you then followed him into a peaceful slumber, a dream world hopefully full of life and magic and no death or death eaters to be exact. You slept in late that morning, didn't actually get up until you both decided lunch was needed.
You walked through the halls hand in hand, also holding his upper arm to show him extra support, peppering his cheeks with kisses every now and then. You wanted him to know that although everything changed, your feelings and opinion of him had never faltered nor would they ever. At breakfast the tables seemed so empty compared to usual, still lots of students but the gaps were there and they screamed something's different, something's wrong. Students were also not sat according to house, you took the opportunity to drag Draco to an empty spot of the Hufflepuff table.
“So, where did you go?” You asked between mouthfuls of food, you and Draco were quite comfortable around each other now, he still tried to act proper sometimes but you assumed that was from being raised in a household like his. You were raised to have manners, yes, but you also had a few older siblings, and there was a polite and proper sort of madness in your house. Pureblood families were expected to act a certain way and hold a specific standard. Your family was like the perfect mix of the craziness of the Weasley’s and the order of the Malfoy’s.
“I went home, had to talk to a bunch of Death Eaters, my Aunt, but not Voldemort, Snape said he would talk to him and they sent me back here before anyone noticed I was gone and got suspicious.”
“I noticed you were gone.” You said smiling cheekily.
“Well I would hope so, did you go to the funeral?” Draco asked quietly wishing he could have gone too, with you.
“Yeah, went with your favorite people too, it was sad yet nice. I even got invited to a Weasley wedding but declined, would rather spend some time with you.”
“Or the invitation did not extend to me.” He said looking up at you from his food, a playful smile on his face.
“Well you did poison-”
“That was a mistake!” he defended.
“The intent was there.” You teased smiling back at him. Draco never smiled as much as he did around you, like he was trying to mimic yours but his was never as toothy as yours was. He loved your toothy smile though.
“Anyways, I saw my mum.”
“How did that go?”
“Good. Good. She was all proud of me for being so strong and that's when I finally got to tell her about you.”
“Ah of course, the source of your strength.”
“You say that jokingly but it’s true, and she wants to meet you, like really wants to. She is very excited and I think she will like you a lot.”
“Well then I’d like to meet her too.” You smiled.
“Good, not anytime soon though so you don't have to worry.”
“Why not anytime soon?”
“Because it’s almost summer, exams were to be this week although I don't see that happening and then the week after that we go home.” Draco shrugged like that explained anything.
“Am I not going to see you over the summer?” You asked timidly.
“Well we don't have a train taking us places so I don't see how you could.”
“Draco I live like 15 minutes away from you.”
“Walking?”
“Yes you idiot!”
“Well how was I supposed to know that?” He asked as a blush rose to his cheeks, he had no idea you lived so close to him for so long.
“I don't know, I knew where you lived, but I guess Malfoy Manor is well known in the area compared to my house.”
“You live in Wiltshire?”
“Yes Draco, you aren't the only one who lives there.”
“Where though?”
“Big house, looks good on the outside not quite as good on the inside, actually probably better now since most of my siblings are gone.”
“Siblings?”
“Yes Draco, I have an older sister and two older brother, only my one brother lives at home now but he might be gone now who knows.” You shrugged.
He frowned probably upset he knew so little about you and maybe a bit scared of the idea of you having older brothers who would judge your relationship with him. He hadn't even thought about meeting your parents and how anxious that made him. It was bad enough seeing students judge your relationship but family was so much worse if they didn't like him.
“Sorry we were so involved in school, the plan and each other to ever talk about dumb things like the bullying I endured as a child from my older brothers and how my older sister was like a second mom, but in a good way.” You said smiling, realizing you hadn't told any of them about Draco, or anything about school at all really.
“So we can spend like all summer together?” He said smiling taking a bite from his food.
“Well, I spend most of my summer learning new things but i'm sure I can fit you in there.”
“Summer inst for learning.”
“We both spent out last summer learning new skills so you might want to rethink that,”
“Against my will.” He argued pointing his fork towards you, you just smiled in response.
-
“I'm gonna miss you he said kissing your forehead before you parents arrived to pick you up.”
“I just need a few days to catch up with my family see my friends maybe, then I’ll come see you.”
“Write me a letter the night before, actually write one every night and update me on things.”
“So do I walk the fifteen minutes and hand deliver it or by owl?”
“Owls fine, and you better use that blue paper and gold wax.”
“To bring back memories of how we first met! How cute, I didn't know you were so sentimental.”
“Oh shut up, I meant so I know which one is for me. Maybe a bit of that sentimental stuff to.” He said trying to hide his face from you placing his chin on your head and kissing it once more before he let go of your hand and walked away not turning back to look at you because if he had, he didn't think he’d be able to leave.

sadly yesterday i was unable to do a post, so today you get two! this is how i plan to make up for missed posts, posting two a day until i have caught up to what should be the current chapter. not sure if i have mentioned this before, but someone calculated it would take about 66-67 weeks for me to catch up with the webserial itself, so we are in for the long haul!
to recap the previous chapter: erin found the stream again! thats pretty much all the good that happened though, because she found a dangerous fish in the stream, tried to cut it open to cook it but cut open her hand instead. the hand appears to be infected, and when we last saw her she was rambling a chess game via chess notation at herself. overall erin is not doing well in any way shape or form and may very well be half dead at this point.
Erin woke up suddenly. Her hand was burning.
Though her head felt like fog she couldn’t fall back to sleep. Instead, Erin just sat and cradled her hand again. She couldn’t move it or the pain would get worse, but sleeping or relaxing was beyond her as well. She could only sit in agony.
Bit by bit, the pain faded away. Maybe it was her waking up, or maybe she just got numb.
as i said, she is in a very bad situation
Erin got up. She still held her hand and took great care not to flex it at all. It was…aching didn’t even begin to describe it. It was just pain, all the way through. And it wasn’t stopping.
But at the same time, she was hungry. And for a little bit that overrode her pain.
Slowly, very slowly, Erin hobbled around the inn. She grabbed the blue fruit with her good hand and began chomping them down one at a time. She was so hungry she ate four before she knew it and then polished off two more as she sat at a table.
She would have sat there forever. Getting up wasn’t worth the effort, but a higher power called to her. It spoke in words she could not ignore.
Bathroom.
Erin sighed and put her head on the table. But the longer she sat the more uncomfortable it became. Still, the pain in her hand fought off the need to go relieve herself for the better part of an hour. When Erin finally stood up, she marched to the inn’s door and kicked it open. She’d go do her business in a random valley and then wash her hands at the stream. Hygiene and all that.
even if she is in a bad situation the power of hunger and the need to pee will prevail!
It took nearly two hours before Erin came back. That was mainly due to her getting lost. Somehow the stream seemed to be in a different spot than she’d remembered, and when she’d completed her task she wasn’t able to retrace her steps.
When she did finally see the welcome sight of the inn, Erin could have cried with relief. All she wanted was to sit and suffer in peace and the open door welcomed her in.
it may not be home but its close enough for now
Absentmindedly Erin walked through the door and closed it behind her. Then she went back and sat down at the table. She looked at the dirty, bloody bandage.
“Damn it.”
—-
“Ow. Owch. Ow.”
Every time Erin peeled off a bit of the bandage part of her skin and a lot of blood went with it. Some of it was dried blood. Some of it was not.
After she’d gotten half of the bandage off Erin had to stop. The pain was too much. And the bandage was stuck to her skin. But having a half-peeled bandage was worse. Erin couldn’t stop picking at it.
like a scab but less sanitary and more painful
“I’ve seen old kitchens in castles. I thought drawers and that kind of stuff only came later. So is this place in the dark ages or can I get a light bulb somewhere around here?”
Erin grumbled as she searched with one hand. She threw open another cupboard and stopped.
“What the—”
Food. Food was sitting in the cupboard. Erin had to rub her eyes with her good hand. Then she slapped herself to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. But when she looked again it was still there.
“Is that…flour?”
Erin poked the bag and stared at the white granules on her finger.
“It could be flour. Or—alternatively, it could be cocaine.”
She tried to smile. But her hand hurt too much.
“…It’s probably flour.”’
wait, food? in an abandoned inn in a wrecked town? i call shenanigans! either this infection has spread to her head and is causing insanity or this is magic
But behind the bag of flour was another surprise. Erin’s eyes narrowed and she frowned hard.
“That’s butter.”
There was no mistaking it. And it wasn’t just butter either. Erin was used to the nice, square sticks of butter that turned soft and spreadable in the sun. This…was more like a block of butter. It made her arteries scream just looking at it, but her stomach was rumbling already. However—
“That’s not right.”
Erin stared at the butter. It was a golden yellow. She stared around the kitchen. Dust and cobwebs seemed to make up most of the room. She stared at the floor she had yet to sweep.
“How long does it take for dust to get two inches deep?”
Five months? Two years? Five years? Either way, Erin was pretty sure butter didn’t last that long.
“Is someone messing with me?”
as i said, its either creeping insanity or magic. either way, shenanigans!
Erin glanced around. Could someone have put the food in here? But no, her footsteps were the first to disturb the dust. So then how…?
Her eyes flicked back to the cupboards. Something bright caught her attention.
“Oh. Oh!”
A series of glowing symbols faintly shone with silvery light. Erin brushed at the inscriptions and traced them around the edge of the entire pantry.
“Wow. Magic.”
She stared at the runes, entranced. Then a thought struck her and she opened the other cupboards..
“Here. Here…they’re everywhere.”
Around the edges of each cupboard were the same small etchings of runes. Erin traced them with her fingertip but unlike the cupboard with all the good food, these ones weren’t glowing.
“Huh. I guess it wore off. Or maybe they broke somehow? I wonder what they’re made of.”
Experimentally, she scraped at the runes with one fingernail. A bit of it flaked off onto her finger.
“Silver? Or something glowy.”
Erin poked a little harder. It was embedded in the wood, but time had made the wood soft. Another splinter of wood came away. This one neatly cut the unbroken line of runes in two.
Instantly, the glowing symbols faded away. Erin stared at the piece of wood she’d removed and then at the runes in open-mouthed horror.
“Oh you’ve got to be shi—”
erin. you have possibly just commited suicide by long term starvation. lets hope she remembers that settlement in the distance or finds a way to cook those fish. or hope the fruit lasts
Erin sat at the table in the common room and talked to herself. It was mainly to avoid thinking about pain or her own stupidity.
“True, you’ve gotta leave stuff behind when you leave. Can’t carry everything. But you had good food still here. And more, in those other cupboards. And here’s a kitchen full of supplies…how expensive are good, sharp knives?”
Erin flexed her hand and winced again. Very sharp knives.
“No one leaves that behind. So why would anyone…?”
It was a bad thought to have. Erin suddenly felt very uneasy. The hair on her neck began pricking and her stomach began doing pushups.
“Question. How did Mr. Skeleton upstairs die?”
Her spine tingled.
“Maybe that’s a bad question.”
no question is a bad question, except asking a god of knowledge where he got the butter. you will get a 10 paragraph essay, a prophecy, life changing wisdom, all three, or be asked to write a 20 paragraph essay on the great Mongolian butter prophecy. that was not a fun week
“Upstairs. Fine. Hello darkness my old enemy.”
It wasn’t nearly as hard going up the stairs. Now that she knew what was in every room, going down the dark hallways wasn’t scary. But going in the last room? That was very scary.
Erin took a few deep breaths before she opened the door. Her palm was sweaty on the doorknob.
“Am I afraid of dead people? Well yeah. But they can’t hurt me. Zombies can, but normal dead people can’t. It’s just a skeleton. I can take a look for signs of—of death and then I’ll go sleep. Good plan. Let’s do it.”
She opened the door and stared inside. Then she ran back and started opening the other doors on the top floor, slamming into each room before running to the next. But what she sought was not there.
Slowly, Erin walked back to the room at the far end and looked inside. A sagging bed, a small table, a shuttered window. Nothing else. Erin whispered into the silence.
“It’s gone.”
moving on we now have a case of mysterious disappearing skeleton. i say again, erin might be going insane. or it became an undead
The skeleton was gone. Erin was sure of it. It wasn’t anywhere in the inn that she’d looked, and she’d combed both top and bottom floor thoroughly. And the worst part about losing a dead body was wondering where it went.
Erin sat in the common room. Actually, she sat in a corner of it, her back to the wall as her eyes darted around the room. It wasn’t that she was waiting for a pile of bones to fall from the ceiling. But…she would prefer to know where said bones had gone.
“Okay. Okay. What’s the problem? It was just a skeleton. Just a spooky, dead thing. And even if it did move—somehow, where would it go?”
She didn’t know why she was whispering to herself. It just made her feel…well, it didn’t make her feel better, but it felt appropriate. It was getting dark. It was nearly night. In the circumstances being loud didn’t feel like the smart thing to do.
And the skeleton might hear her.
“No, no. That’s impossible. It’s not here. It’s somewhere else. Besides, where could it hide? I checked all the rooms upstairs. So where could it be?”
The…cupboards?
Her eyes darted towards the kitchen. No. It couldn’t be. She’d checked.
What about underneath the floorboards? Or in the roof?
Erin kept very still and listened. Nothing. That was good, right?
But skeletons don’t need to breathe. They don’t need to move until you’re asleep. And then…
Enough. Erin shook her head. It was all in her head. There had to be a perfectly good reason for a corpse to disappear suddenly—
What about the walls?
Erin refused to turn her head. She was just being paranoid. Which was a good thing. Because it could be anywhere.
No; not just it. Them. Maybe someone, something took the skeleton. But why? And when?
yes what took the skeleton?
Her mind suddenly flashed back to when she’d returned that morning. Hadn’t the inn’s door been open? She hadn’t noticed at the time but she remembered closing it as she left. She didn’t remember having to open it when she got back.
Her skin crawled. The inn suddenly felt a lot less safe.
But it was just her imagination. She had an over-active imagination. If she went to sleep all would be well. All she had to do was close her eyes and when she woke up all would be well. There was nothing to worry about. Erin couldn’t even hear anything except the rapid beating of her heart and the creaking.
Creaking. A footstep.
Erin sat bolt upright. Her heart felt like it was about to stop from sheer overwork. Her eyes darted to the ceiling.
Something was up there.
She heard it moving about. Maybe if she’d been more relaxed she might never have noticed the faint creaks and groans of floorboards as something crept around upstairs. And judging by the sounds…
Erin tracked the progress of the creature. It was moving to the stairwell.
Slowly, Erin clenched her bad hand to avoid screaming. The pain as her sliced hand throbbed and started to bleed grounded her. Silently, she stood up.
The knife was on the table. Erin held it in her good hand and moved around. The stairwell was on the right side of the room. Anyone coming down wouldn’t be able to see her if she was in the rightmost corner.
Skirting the chairs and tables Erin made her way there and crouched down. The handle of the kitchen knife was slippery in her hand with sweat. Her other hand was slippery with her blood. She gazed at the blade of the knife. It was very sharp.
The creaking stopped for a moment as the intruder reached the top of the stairs. Erin waited. It would come down. And when it did, she’d get one chance to attack first.
Attack first? Am I some kind of hero?
No. New plan. The instant Erin saw what it was she was running for her life. But she had to see what it was first.
The skeleton popped into her head. Was it that? Or was it the creature that had stolen it’s bones? Was it some kind of parasitic creature that lived in dead corpses—or a gaunt nightprowler that ate the marrow of the deceased?
Please let it just be a skeleton.
The monster started descending the stairs. Quietly. Slowly. Even though Erin was listening, she barely heard the sound it made. She tried to guess how far down it was. Halfway. Two thirds. A few steps left.
Something left the last step and walked into the common room. Erin didn’t breathe. She didn’t move, or even blink.
Slowly, the creature stepped closer. Erin squinted and gasped as it came into view. Then she stood up and sighed.
“Oh. It was just a Goblin.”
The short green creature whirled around in surprise as Erin stood up with a sigh. It immediately crouched, its sharp dagger held in a fighting stance. It snarled at her.
She snarled back.
ah yes, just a goblin. thats fine. perfectly fine. not at all worrying.
The rest of the Goblin ambush party waited outside of the inn, keen ears straining for sound. Each one was a seasoned warrior – at least by the standards of their small clan. They were all armed with the best weaponry available. The most dangerous among them had shortswords that were only half-covered in rust. And they were awaiting the signal.
The inn’s door flew open. The Goblins looked up. They expected the human female to run out of it, screaming and preferably bleeding. At worst, they expected their comrade to be running out, her fast on his heels. They readied their weapons.
And ducked as a body flew over their heads.
“Go to hell!”
The human female slammed the door shut.
The Goblins stared at the closed door of the inn. They stared at the barely recognizable face of the unconscious Goblin, and then exchanged a look. Then they quickly picked up their fallen comrade and legged it back into the night.
well erin probably isnt insane but at least she can deal with a goblin ambush via intimidation
ill post the next chapter later today, i have to go deal with the rest of that irl stuff that kept me from posting yesterday.
will is erin going insane? will the skeleton come back to haunt her? will the goblins finally leave her alone or is this just the prelude to a great goblin crusade against the inn? will erin ever remember that settlement in the distance? find out later today!

Amara
Dust motes danced in the airy light of Anis’ study as he shifted through a storm of essences.
He had called his desk an ‘aromatic apothecary’. Amara had dubbed it a ‘scent bench’. Racks of essence bottles curved around him as he furiously scribbled formulas on to wafers of paper. Occasionally he would un-cork one, releasing a burst of scent that filled the room before dissipating just as quickly- rose oil, hyacinth, slowly burning sandalwood, even that metal stench Amara had always associated with the Void gates back home. Anis would take stock of it then return to his scribbling.
Another uncorking. A fierce note of burning pepper-bush flooded Amara’s nostrils. Then it was gone. More scribbling.
“That was a good one.”
“Hmm.” Anis sounded unconvinced. “Bit too overpowering, might need a modifier, maybe a citrus ester or a floral one. But that’s in my rayiha so I’ve been told and I don’t think it’s very becoming of me to aim for a signature just yet...”
He continued on in this manner. Amara really didn’t mind. She’d learned a lot over the past week thanks to Anis’ ramblings- his role as a student in the school of extracting (itself part of the house of sciences) the nature of his craft, the Soljin’s nature as part of a greater whole- one of four peoples that had split apart from days spent as Void-wandering nomads, different in many ways but bound by the faith that had united them so long ago- the faith of midãd, the pursuit of the divine substance. Anis considered his work to be the greatest expression of that history, crafting multi-layered scents from countless differing essences.
“So, how’s your work coming along?”
“Oh.” Rising herself from her stupor, Amara glanced back at her sketches. Though Anis had provided a desk to study at right next to a disused alembic, her mind had been elsewhere. It was with Tia and the others now searching for ingredients in the shops and markets. Ingredients for Met’s...treatment.
“Something is in you.” She had said to her, sitting her down in the lovers’ small home. “Call it a baran, call it kaba, call it whatever you like. Just know it isn’t getting out unless we force it out.”
“A...” Amara remembered. “The bolt.”
“Yes, the bolt. The one you were struck by. It came from the god-grounds.”
“You knew about that?!” Tia had been aghast
“I sensed something in her when we shook hands. You telling me about the storm destroying your district confirmed my suspicions. Why do you think I chose to let you stay after your friend’s treatment?”
“So, you were keeping things from us.” Udana said. “Why should we trust you now?”
“It’s not about trust. It’s about necessity. You think the wights you met in the desert were bad? Whatever’s in you now is far older, far darker. I don’t know how it got into you but I know I’m the only one in this city that can get it out. You need more than a doctor, you need someone who understands the dead.”
Silence. Then Khedes had spoken up.
“We can help you.”
“Amara?”
Amara blinked. “Sorry... just thinking about-”
“About your condition?”
She nodded. Setting his work aside, Anis came up and laid a hand on her shoulder. Thankfully he wasn’t shocked back 10 meters.
“I’m sorry I can’t help you more. That way you wouldn’t have to rely on that frightful pair.” He rubbed his neck. “If only I could be more like En-Kindi.”
“Who?”
“En-Kindi, the founder of the school of extracting, part of the house of sciences first master’s council. He could do everything: perfume, metallurgy, astronomy, cryptography. A true polymath! He once said that “time exists only with motion. Body with motion, motion with body. If there is motion there is necessarily body, if there is body there is necessarily motion.”
“How does that relate to all my problems?”
“It means if you keep moving forward then things will definitely work out in the end!”
They both chuckled at that. Then awkward silence resumed.
“You know” Anis continued. “He also said we should devote ourselves to the truth. Always keep looking for it, even if it came from peoples distant and nations different from us. I think he approve of you coming all the way out here...and that he would want me to help you.”
Amara gave a gentle, tired smile. “Thank you. That means a lot.”
Anis smiled back. He was about to say something more when suddenly there was a wrapping at the door. Perplexed, he went and opened it. He returned with a small wooden box. Lifting its lid revealed 4 small perfume bottles and a note with 4 words in the Soljinn script written on it. Amara recognised them as street names.
Anis’ smile faded.
“Come on. Time I showed you the other part of my job.”
Kuru’s house of sciences was an alternating mix of interior and exterior spaces. Shadowed hallways would lead to fragrant courtyards bordered by rounded pillars of Aban-Sad stone. Its student body a mix of promising young scholars swelled by the patronage of established academics and those who had been sent by less established families to rise through scholarship and intellectual endeavour. Anis was one such student.
“Wish you could have seen things when everyone was here. Boys would wear off-world jeans under their work robes. We dared each other to flip them up when to get a glimpse of what style they were trying out.”
“Did you really?”
Anis blinked. “Please don’t assume every strapping young Soljinn man is as socially awkward as me.”
That of course had changed with the Corvus’ arrival. The school was backed by public funding, along with that of the social elite- bankers, merchants and military officers. When the Corvus assumed command that wellspring quickly dried up. Students and teachers alike dropped out, some seeking to get jobs as translators and scientists, others hurling themselves against the walls of the Nest in protest.
So now the school Amara walked through was a ghost of its former self. A time when the sound of scratching pens on paper and all manner of scientific, philosophical and theological discourse that fell under the banner of falsafa- Natural studies- filled the air. A time when so many Rayihas joined together it was hard to tell when one person’s soul ended and another’s began.
“That’s one sad story.” Amara said sympathetically, as they head out through the school’s main embossed arch.
“Not half as sad as where we’re going, I’m afraid.”
Where they were headed was a street in the city’s old quarter. En-Yaqut it was called, the birthplace of some of the city’s finest biographers and renowned for its scroll-stores, literary cafes and abundant collections of ornate manuscripts. After all, was it not said that the ink of the quill was holier than the blood of the martyr?
Amara couldn’t see that beauty now. As they followed the street downhill, the air began to smell of smoke. Shutters covered the front of shops, emblazoned with graffiti of a bird spreading its wings between two trees. A young boy flicked rocks at these shutters, which quickly burst into flames, alighted by security lasers.
“Oh no...”
Amara turned to see what Anis was looking at. Standing at a bend in the road was a charred husk of a building. It looked like it had come from Amara’s ruined district, though it stood alone instead of being surrounded by others like it. A crowd had gathered, some dousing the charred walls with water jets.
“Not Shaba...”
“You!” An old woman cried, in black robes with embroiled cuffs. “You from the house?”
“I am... I am.” Anis confirmed. “Please Shaba...the owner of this place...he isn’t...”
The lady shook her head. “Some of his clients were translators for the Corvus. A fight broke out over it and then the fire started. He didn’t survive.”
Anis fell to his knees, his breathing ragged. Amara knelt with him.
“A friend?”
He nodded shakily.
Amara didn’t need to know any more. But she needed to snap Anis out of this.
“Anis, we came here to do something. Do you remember?
Another nod. With trembling hands, he took out one of the vials and poured its contents on to the ground, murmuring what sounded like a prayer under his breath.
Slowly a rayiha surrounded them. It smelled like drying paint and fresh parchment. Amara almost thought she saw it, as a hazy silhouette of a man standing before them.
Anis seemed to glimpse it to.
“You always were so accepting, Shaba.” He turned to the woman. “Make sure the Clerics find his body and give it the rites. We have others to see to.”
He then swerved back up the way they had come. Amara nearly had to run to keep up with him.
“Perfumes are an accompaniment to someone’s soul. Naturally they can be used to guide and heal lost ones. When a body is prepared for the rites, we provide perfumes to guide the rayiha back to it.”
He gave Amara a gentle, tired smile.
“The house of sciences may be fading, but that line of work keeps me occupied a lot nowadays.”
Why had they come?
To dethrone tyrants of course! The rulers of Kuru had become depraved and needed removing. Had they not rounded up dissident scholars, removed them from public office? Had they not charged exorbitant fees for the stone of Kuru, exploiting them over the years? Had they not acted to the detriment of every non-Soljinn in the city and punished those who practiced tolerance? Men like Shaba?
“Well that was a fucking lie.” Anis growled.
The Corvus’ defeat of these men- the feared mihna lawgivers- had been like something of out of a legend. The air had suddenly filled with white light. Spears of it leapt down to strike the lawgivers palace. Then ship after ship had floated down to continue the assault.
Such talk there had been! Anti-regime cells had gathered in the coffee shops whispering of plans that would never see fulfillment. Some wrote and translated advisory letters to the Corvus, others hoped that translation schools would be built to speed negotiations between the people and the invaders.
Such dreams- of translation, of communication- had died swiftly when the Corvus demonstrated how they translated with their first routine survey.
So, the days went on. Anti-Corvus groups making a scene, the Corvus themselves appearing out of nowhere to make a bigger mess of it. Men like Shaba- known for his tolerance of all peoples and the generosity of his spirit- killed in the crossfire, while others like Anis trailed after the violence, hoping to help in whatever way they could.
“So, you still don’t know why they are here?” Amara asked. By the time they reached the House of Science’s entrance the sun was setting. A day spent attending similar sites to the one on En-Yaqut street had left her drained. She would need to talk to Tia tonight.
“Don’t know don’t care.” Anis’ voice had seemed to age over the day, becoming as rough as Met’s at times “I’m just trying to survive.”
Just trying to survive. Made her little treasure hunt seem silly by comparison. Then Amara reminded herself she was doing it to help her own people survive as well.
Turning to the path to Met’s house, Amara thought about the violence she had seen here- how it could spread so easily to her own home, how many homes it had already taken. She thought about the artefacts lying discarded in the God-grounds and the wreckage of Shaba’s slowly burning shop.
As she did, the taste of electricity filled her mouth and goosebumps spread across her skin.

promise [s.h.]
Requested: yes. Anon: ”Hi! Are you ok with writing about a reader who self-harms? I was wanting to request a one-shot where my baby boy Steve finds out when the reader’s long sleeve sweater hikes up. If you dont want to, thats okay :) Thank you so much, I love ur writing! “
Warnings: mentions of self-harm. please don’t read if this makes you uncomfortable in any way and if any one of you lovely people want to talk about something i’m always here <333
Summary: (Y/N) Henderson hasn’t been the same ever since the first Demogorgon attack. And now that they’re back, things will only get worse. (at this point, Steve and Nancy are no longer together!)
Pairing: Steve Harrington x reader (romantic), The Party x reader (platonic)
The Upside Down had changed (Y/N) Henderson.
It had changed everyone, yet the young (H/C) girl couldn’t seem to get over it. And that frustrated her to no end.
Her brother had seemingly moved on, finding comfort and happiness within his friend group. Jonathan Byers, Nancy Wheeler, and Steve Harrington had all moved on as well. Jonathan and Nancy’s relationship had blossomed into a close friendship that no one saw coming and Nancy and Steve remained the school’s most talked about couple.
They all had each other and you, well you remained alone.
It didn’t bother you at first. You coped well enough, trying to forget about the Demogorgon and slide back into your regular, everyday routine. Then, the nightmares began.
You never knew what happened during your dreams. All you knew was that you always woke up in a cold sweat, your fingernails digging into the flesh of your arm and drawing blood as you resisted the urge to scream.
The dreams never stopped, only worsening as time passed. Your sleep schedule became messy, and you began spending hours locked away in the public library, studying nonstop in order to keep your grades from slipping.
You often wondered if you mother noticed your sudden change in attitude. Or even if Dustin did.
You eventually decided that, no, they hadn’t noticed and that no one really cared.
So you went about your days, digging your nails into your skin to keep from breaking down.
By the time almost a year had passed, your closet was almost completely composed of jeans and long-sleeved t-shirts, specifically chosen to keep your scarred arms hidden.
But you couldn’t stop.
You suppose it was your way to cope; digging your nails into your arms until you felt the blood trickle down your hands. You knew it wasn’t healthy but you couldn’t stop. It just came along with the nightmares. Besides, it wasn’t like anyone could tell.
At least, that’s what you thought.
Steve Harrington walked through the hallways of Hawkins High, trying to avoid the new kid Billy. His eyes lit up momentarily when he saw you standing at your locker and in a split second, he found himself walking towards you.
“Henderson! Hey,” Steve greeted, leaning against the locker next to yours.
Steve didn’t miss the way you flinched at his sudden appearance. Or the way you subconsciously tugged your sleeves over your hands.
“Harrington,” you greeted, voice quiet. Steve’s eyebrows furrowed at your quiet tone before his eyes landed on a bright orange piece of paper.
“You going?” Steve asked, nodding to the small orange poster.
“‘Come and get sheet faced’,” you read out loud before turning back to Steve. “I think I’m actually just gonna go trick-or-treating with Dustin. Save Jonathan from chaperoning.”
“Aw, you’re no fun Henderson,” Steve said, a pout forming on his lips and causing you to chuckle. His heart skipped a beat. “C’mon. At least drop by real quick. For me?’
You rolled your eyes and reached for your book. You didn’t notice your sleeve rolling up slightly as you reached up. You didn’t see Steve’s eyes wander to your now exposed arm. You didn’t see the hurt and sadness in his big brown eyes as he took in the cuts and scars.
You didn’t notice anything until you looked up and met his eyes, which were still focused on your arm.
“(Y/N),” Steve whispered, taking a step closer.
You, on the other hand, took several steps back, slamming your locker shut and looking at Steve in a panic. “I’m going to be late for calculus. I’ll catch you later Steve.”
You were gone in an instant, leaving Steve stranded in the sea of students as he tried to figure out why you were doing the things you do.
You smiled softly as you trailed after The Party. You watched as they argued over which candies were better, Dustin occasionally looking back to ask your opinion.
“Just nougat, Dusty?” you teased. “I thought I raised you better than that.”
The rest of The Party laughed at your words, with Lucas smiling at you proudly. “Thanks (Y/N)! See, at least someone agrees with me.”
You slowed down a bit as a redheaded girl joined the group, noticing the excitement rising. You glanced around, taking note that it had gotten darker outside. Checking you watch, you noticed that it was fifteen minutes until 9 and you were nowhere near Mike’s house.
Looking back up, you frowned as you noticed that the street was pretty empty. In fact, you couldn’t see any members of the Party in their Ghostbusters costumes. You could feel the panic rise up in your chest as you looked around for them yet resisted the urge to scream, knowing that they were probably down the block.
You pulled your jacket tighter around you as you walked down the street, keeping your head up as you scanned the wandering kids that were still trick-or-treating.
You squeaked slightly as your foot caught on a rock and you tripped, hearing rushing footsteps as you started nearing the ground.
You heard a loud “oof” come from beneath you and you chuckled as you rolled off of the mysterious person.
“Henderson,” Steve groaned. “What are you doing out here?”
You laughed breathlessly as you laid in the street, shoulder brushing with Steve’s. “I was looking for Dusty but he seems to have gone missing.”
Steve snorted as he looked over at you, waiting for you to do the same.
You laid there for a minute, staring at each other before Steve’s eyes flickered down to your jacket.
“(Y/N),” Steve began quietly, licking his lips nervously. “About earlier-”
“(Y/N)! There you are!”
You let out a small grunt as you stood p, a smile making its way onto your face as the Party reached you.
“Guys!” you called out. “I thought I had lost you!”
The Party began babbling about how they ran to the houses with the best candy before immediately shutting up at the sight of Steve. They gave you confused looks and you sighed, sending an apologetic smile towards Steve as you ushered the kids back towards Mike’s house.
“What did he want?” Dustin grumbled as he chewed on a 3 Musketeers.
You smiled and ruffled his hair, ignoring his complaints. “I’m not sure kiddo.”
You panted as you ran inside the bus, your sweater torn from the demodogs that had surrounded you and Steve in the junkyard. You tried to take a deep breaths and control your fear but you could feel yourself panicking.
It wasn’t until you felt Dustin’s hand slip into yours that you felt yourself calm down slightly, reminding yourself that you had to take care of your younger brother.
Once you had all calmed down enough, you decided to go towards the lab. You were keeping a close eye on the kids, trailing behind them, when you felt a hand slip into yours again.
it was Steve.
“(Y/N),” he whispered, bringing your arm up. “What is this?”
You cringed as his eyes scanned over the half-moon indents on your arm, some more noticeable than others and some scared and fading.
“Trust me Steve, it’s not what you think,” you spoke calmly, keeping your voice down in order to keep Dustin from hearing.
“What do you mean its not what it looks like?” Steve exclaimed, flailing his free arm around.
You tugged him down harshly and hissed in his ear. “Listen Harrington. This isn‘t the time nor the place to discuss this. We have to focus on keeping the kids safe.”
Steve gave you an unreadable look before nodding reluctantly and letting you go.
You continued to walk in silence.
You didn’t speak to Steve again until Eleven had managed to close the gate.
You had swung open the door, expecting your pizza, but instead found Steve.
“Harrington, in case you forgot, you already picked Dustin up,” you spoke, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
Steve ran a hand through his hair and sighed in frustration before pushing past you and into your home.
“Sure, come in. Make yourself comfortable,” you muttered as you shut the door and trudged after the big-haired boy.
Steve was pacing around your living room, looking mildly irritated.
“That’s it!” he exclaimed, making you jump in surprise. “I’m done pretending. You know what (Y/N)? I have been in love with you since freshman year and I will not just stand by and watch you tear yourself apart.”
You stayed silent as he stepped forwards and grabbed your arms, your heart pounding in your chest at his words.
“Please,” Steve whispered. “Please tell me what’s going on because it is so painful to see this happening and not be able to do anything about it.”
You sighed before speaking. “It really isn’t what you think Steve. It’s just, I keep having nightmares and this is the only way that I can keep my anxiety under control. I didn’t think it was such a big deal and it allowed me to keep Dusty from worrying about me. I didn’t think anyone would notice.”
Steve wrapped his arms around you as he sat down on the couch, bringing you down with him. It was a comfortable position, your head in the crook of his neck and his arms hugging you closely.
“Promise me,” he whispered. “Promise me that whenever you have a nightmare you’ll call me. No matter what.”
You nodded dazedly as you dozed off, causing Steve to smile as he lost consciousness as well.
A few hours later, Dustin walked through the door, cursing Steve for forgetting to pick him up.
At least Will’s mom was kind enough to offer him a ride.
Dustin loosened his tie and made his way into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Walking into the living room however, he lost his grip on his glass, causing it to fall and shatter.
The scene in front of him was something unique. On the drive home, he definitely wasn’t expecting his sister to be having a cuddle-fest with Steve Harrington himself.
He couldn’t help but smile. “Fucking finally.”
