Are there any sonic au’s you would recommend? I am trying to find more to get into so would love to know if you have any favourites out there :D
Hello! Oh there are so many! :D I definitely have some favorites and some which aren't favs but are pretty great.
Putting these under the cut because there are so many! And there's definitely more cool AUs that I haven't seen or haven't saved.
Anyways, please enjoy my personal selection:
Seven Years Too Soon by NightFuchia. Basically what if a much younger Sonic accidentally set Shadow free from Prison Island. It has awesome characterization and happens to be one of my favorite stories. The rest of Team Sonic is also present
Brotherhood's Twist by @/drawloverlala even though I don't think it counts entirely as Au but it still sort of does. Unbreakable Bond ageswitch due to Zeti's meddling.
Passion's @sonic-tangled-au . I love it! So very much. The lore and backstories are so good.
Noonui's World Restored in Imbalanced Chaos au. Extremely engaging and good. Has a bunch of world building and fun concepts and lore.
Sonic's Super Totally Awesome Mixtape, though it seems to be discontinued, I'm not sure. It's pretty good so far! Takes place in the movie verse.
@brainworms-all-night-long is working on a Dreamtale Au which I'm hyped for. The tag in use is 'dreamtale and sonic tomfoolery'.
@/the-starlight-project comic is pretty good too. Mystery! And emotions. So many emotions ough.
And there's @the-emerald-isle-au by @0vergrowngraveyard . Very intriguing. 👀
Please do check out the Pandora Au by @/starrjoy. It's great!
The Fair Folk by Irritable_Fabulamancer, this fic is one of my favorites! Team Sonic as Fae my beloved! I love fae AUs.
On that note, if you're alright wanting to read a Fae!AU which is pretty much a sonadow fic, there is also I don't believe in fairy tales [but I believe in you and me]. Fantasy and Fae! Satbk inspired, another one that had me hooked.
My Arms Are Blue by thekyuubivixen and its unofficial, fan-continuation (My Arms Are Blue! Final Four Edition) by PlaystationPassenger. The story doesn't completely count as an AU but I'm recommending them anyway cuz they're really really good and has that watching your own show from different dimension trope. It's also hilarious and fun.
Burning Arrow, Wildfire Heart by Taranea is SatSR novelisation AU with Sonic's other friends present too, it's pretty fun. Not very accurate regarding the desert but it's a good read and I come back to reread it often. Must read in my opinion. Just don't dare use it as guide for desert travel or you'll be shriveled up in the sand somewhere
This fic. Read it, I will not elaborate this one. Just trust me :]
And don't miss out on @shadofiredragon's Legends Never Die fic. It's a future fic! And an awesome one. I won't spoil much but it is so good. She also has lots of fun AUs in the works.
Down the Foxhole series by MoonlitNightin. Sonic Prime AU series which is great! Tails' pov. The Shatterverses have their own Sonics. Engaging and great.
Feel free to check out @/Son1c's 10verse and other AUs. Those are some pretty great ones. Love the different lore and variants given to the Shatterverses in 10verse.
Spirit of the Wind by TrenchCoatGecko. Satbk inspired fantasy au. Sonamy, has focus on magic and lore and other characters as well.
If you'd like some Forces angst with Unbreakable Bond focus, please do read Illusionary are your arms around me by @nixoon-again. The feels will kill you /pos
Chaos Barren by but_why_not. I forgot to add this earlier (this is an edited addition). Takes place in the Blue Devils AU, great story!
Baby Tails shenanigans by @myymi . Tails got turned into itty bitty infant kit. (And also check @0vergrowngraveyard 'baby tails' tag for more little gremlin scenarios)
Myla is also working on @tails-and-the-ink-machine au
Feral au by Oneshot_bravo. Little short stories or drabbles taking place in Unleashed but the werehog is feral yet keeps his memories. Very lighthearted and fun and cute
Three or more foxes form a skulk by @/chiropter36 . Post Prime au fic, loved it! Go read.
Also, @donelywell 'roadtrip! sonic au' and 'Casino Nights Au'
Haven't yet started reading The Fox's Burrow by @/space-gutz but I'm planning to. Recommending it either way cuz I feel like it's gonna be good. Unbreakable Bond but ageswaped au.
@/sonicchaoscontrol comic. Another in-progress au which is also quite intriguing. Sonic jumps through a portal and exits in future where the planet is a mess. The mystery of what and how it all happened and what's going on slowly unfolds.
The Buzzsaw Dillemma by redpenship. I haven't personally read it myself but I've heard many good things about it, especially it's world building.
Incomplete and won't be updated anymore but if you haven't read them yet, DO NOT miss out on Ghosts of the Future and The Murder of Me fancomics by Evan Stanley (spiritsonic) and Gigi Deutrix (gigi-D) respectively. They're a must read. Both are available on DeviantArt.
The Heart of a Monster comic, @/the-heart-of-a-monster. It's in progress and updates regularly. Unleashed retelling, really really good with some extra lore and everyone involved.
Sometimes the Picket Fence isn’t Perfect and Sharp Edges (Sonic Prime AU) series by @/skimmingthesurfaces. I'm holding off the first one to read later, like that one book you've been saving so I'm not sure if it completely counts as an AU, still putting it in recs, and the second one is intriguing so far. I have heard a lot of good thing about the Picket Fence series.
Dark Boom by Smash50. The entirety of Team Dark in the Sonic Boom universe. Alongside it, there's also Boomtober by the same author.
It Always Snows by the 24th by Selendred had me hooked even though it's a oneshot. Great au and would love to see it explored more.
No One said I Wish by SylWritesStuff. One of my fav stories from the Sonic Platonic Fairytale Week event. It's really funny.
Sonic Phantom Forces (SPF) au comic. Sonic Forces au, blue boy gets taken away but not in the way you think, pretty cool story so far. It's in-progress and available on both Tumblr and DeviantArt. @/spfau
If Black Doom tried to be a better father by Tirainy. Don't take this one seriously. It's pure comedy and I love every second of it. Shadow is having a time for sure XD.
Silent Talkers by @brainworms-all-night-long. Takes place in the Prime Bros verse, feels intensified, all the good ones. A must read, trust me.
And speaking of the Prime Bros AU (in which all Shatterverse foxes also got adopted by Sonic and are now brothers), feel free to scroll through the 'prime bros' tag here. So many awesome posts for this particular au by everyone!
There's so many more, cool ones, epic ones. I haven't saved all and I'm probably forgetting some great ones too so I'm leaving this open for others to add. If y'all have more cool AUs, plz add to these (I wanna check em out too)
....
And now a few from the Fanfiction.net site because it doesn't have much audience compared to AO3 and there are some actual gems hidden there;
Premonition by thekiyuubivixen (not entirely an au but it feels like one due to the unique ability Sonic gains)
The Sonic Project by SconnieSA. Rated M but it's a pretty awesome AU and the rating is due to more serious themes and uncensored language in some parts. Highly recommending this one
Survivor's Resolve by DC111. Not entirely an AU but I must rec this fic it's so good and doea havs some AU vibes.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Attorney of Law by thedraconicwerewolf. Ace Attorney type AU with Sonic and Tails as main characters. Not too adventurous but very very fun and interesting and still managed to keep Sonic in character. Though it has a sequel started, I only rec the main story, not the sequal as it seems to be abandoned and isn't needed to be read like them cliffhanger stories.
beLIEve by Meow21. I have only read snippets from this, waiting for this story to continue but it seems to be discontinued. Felt like an epic story too and deserves to be recommended.
Sonic and the Golden Journey. Sonic gets thrown in another storybook, this time it's a children's classic fairytale. Short but very comedic and fun. Go read it.
Tales of a Samurai. I am begging you to read this one, please it's so good. Also by Taranea.
Wonderful and it's sequal Sanctuary by Inflamore for some Unbreakable Bond angst. (Kindly ignore the obliviousness of earlier ff.net for not knowing the meaning of certain symbols, there's nothing of the sort in story, trust me.)
Regrets by MazzyBooks. A high school au of sorts. Sonic centric with some heavy angst. I'm not kidding about the angst part, trust me. It had me hooked from the first chapter though and I believe it deserves a rec.
You need the cracks (to let the light shine through) by king.needlemouse. Istg this is the most underrated thing I've ever come across, it's one of my absolute favorite fics which I can never forget. Do read it.
Within this Nightmare by sonicfan1990. Sonic get transported to an alternate universe which has gone post apocalyptic and his counterpart in that universe has been dead. Pretty great story, lots of angst and everything.
And that's all I could remember and have saved for now. I'm leaving this open to more AU recs (yes even self plugs are welcome) so if you know any I missed, plz feel free to add. I hope you enjoy all these great AUs!
Thanks for the ask!

Just an update :)
~ November 15th, 2024, Friday ~
(but also technically the 16th because I lost my train of thought halfway through the post, and the 17th because I finally posted it then...shhh)
Enjoy the photo I chose from Pinterest today: we're trying to feel the peace that is captured in it. ;)
Hello and welcome back to the Book Nook! It feels like it has been quite some time since I've written a blog post. I kept meaning to start writing one, but I think I might've been putting too much pressure on what kind of post I wanted to write. Until finally, I told myself, "hey, you can just write an update post; you enjoy those." So. Here we are.
I hope you have been well or at least as well as you can be since my last post! And if life feels like it hasn't been kind to you; it'll get better. <3 That's a reminder that I need to keep in mind too. And that I really don't need to be doing something all of the time. It's truly okay to just sit and be, allowing yourself to not think but think at the same time. It's like, your thinking doesn't have to be constantly about what the answer is to something or pondering the great mysteries of the universe or wondering if what you believe is "right." Your thinking can be calmer than that. And it doesn't mean you're behind. <3
I think I needed that paragraph, I hope you found something in it too.
~ General updates on life ~
Life has been...a bunch of different descriptive words. I am also coming up on some pretty big changes that are going to be happening soon that part of me is terrified for but another part of me is ready for the change. Overall, I think it'll be beneficial. We'll just try not to think of the world as ending within that time. ;)
It hasn't been awful, really, no. Just difficult, for sure. It honestly feels like a lot of effort to do anything other than waking up and reading my books. I don't really want to do anything else, just live in story land. Although, I just had a sleepover with my best friend that was really so much fun. (That's right, you're never too old for sleepovers.) And this weekend I'll be at my sister's place and I think it'll be super nice to get out of my hometown for a bit. Only 45 minutes out of it, but still, it helps nevertheless.
Tonight I have something to look forward to as well: Dungeons and Dragons! (Yes, I am a Proper Nerd.) Our sessions are always full of chaos and fun. I play a character named Kylin Kiels, who is a wood-elf bard. She's got a super fun tragic backstory-we love those-and amazing fighting skills. (Only if you count singing "ABC, it's easier than 1, 2, 3!" to fight off an army of crabs, amazing.) (It didn't work.) So role-playing in a fantasy game = a great time, I highly recommend.
~ BOOK UPDATES ~
It's time for my favorite kind of update!! ;) Before I get into it, Imma just make it clear that I am a HUGE mood reader-if you haven't already come to that conclusion yourself-and if I start a book and I end up not feeling it...it usually goes back on the shelf. Because if it doesn't, it'll sit on my nightstand or near my bed somewhere with a bookmark in it that isn't going to be moving forward any time soon and then my book pile will PILE up and I'll get stressed out. So. Yeah. I hope you enjoyed that little glimpse inside my brain.
Guess what book I've been rereading???? The Fault In Our Stars by John Green!! :D No seriously, lately that's all my brain has been itching to read. And by lately I mean the past two days. People. People. It's so good.
Another main book I've been reading that I actually haven't read before: Christmas Eve Love Story by Ginny Baird. It's a Christmas rom-com (obviously) and I'm loving it. The main character, Annie, keeps repeating Christmas Eve, but instead of it being the exact same day over again, there's changes here and there. The love interest, Braden, works at the mall Annie does and they have a connection, peopleeeee. It's a really cute rom-com and the Christmas feels are all over. ;)
Those are really the main ones I'm reading currently. I did start this middle grade graphic novel that I'm enjoying the easy-read-feel of it. Sweet Valley Twins: Best Friends by Francine Pascal. To be honest though, I’m not sure if that one will get finished by me either. The middle school girl drama is a little much for me, but other than that, I’ve been liking it.
Continuing the book talk, I am currently finishing up-or hoping to-this blog at a coffee shop in a bookstore. Barnes & Noble, to be exact. A great bookstore. A new one recently opened near where my sister lives so we’re spending a good chunk of the day here, surrounded by books. *cue contented, dreamlike sigh* ;) As I was browsing earlier, there was a table for The Assistant to the Villain books, by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. I forget if I’ve mentioned them, I think I have in a past post but you’re going to hear about them again. SUCH GOOD BOOKS AHHHHH!!! They are probably my favorite Romantasy books. (romance + fantasy, for those of you who don’t know) Granted, no, I haven’t read a Whole Ton of Romantasy books, but these ones will always be some of my top ones. I LOVE the humor in them SO MUCH. I think that’s something that I’ve been realizing: I enjoy reading fantasy books more if they aren’t as serious. I was just discussing this with my sister too. She is an AVID fantasy reader. And I love fantasy, but I have to be in the right mood for it. But as we were talking about Assistant to the Villain and Fourth Wing (I’m sure you’ve heard of this one, if you haven’t read it…READ!) and kind of comparing them, she said Fourth Wing has a lot more of a serious fantasy vibe, while Assistant to the Villain and Apprentice to the Villain (the second one) are funny fantasy. And like I said, I LOVE the Villain books, so maybe I should read more funny fantasies. (I already looked some up, ahaha.) On the table they’ve got a cute lil’ plushy of Kingsley-honestly the character that carries the books-sticker packs galore, keychains, and everything, it’s amazing.
One last book update...I did indeed leave the bookstore with a Romantasy book that I'm hoping will be pretty funny. If not, I'm probably going to try my best to read it all the way through, because this book is GORGEOUS. It's called Bull Moon Rising by Ruby Dixon. The cover of the book is so pretty and the page edges are amazing. Just look at it:
It's so pretty. :,) I'm only about three chapters in, but I have pretty good hopes for it. :)
~ Ending updates ~
Just some random updates to start bringing this blog to a close…I’ve been putting a lot more focus on my relationship with Jesus and it’s been so amazing. For the past few days, I was doing some Bible research that started out good but kind of turned negative. Not because of the Bible but because of how I started looking at it. Like I was trying to prove something to be right or wrong, which I do not think is a good reason to read God’s word. It should be to get to know God more and feel His presence! So, I decided it was probably a good idea for me to step back from doing specific Bible research and just spending time in His word; reading and listening to what He’s telling me through the Bible. This morning I started reading Ecclesiastes and one of my favorite passages was chapter 3, verses 1-8. Verse one is so lovely: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (NIV)
I think time spent diving into God’s word is a great way to spend time. :) Doing this way of Bible study has helped keep a consistent relationship with not only God but also with reading the Bible. Journaling to Jesus is also a super helpful habit that I try to do everyday, even if it’s only a sentence or two some days. And even if it’s something that ends up not happening on a day, I try not to beat myself up about it because that’s not from Jesus! Journaling to Him is simply another way to create a connection with Him and talk to Him. Sometimes it feels easier to write down what I want to talk to God about instead of relying solely on saying it out loud. I am also a writer-obviously-and I’ve been journaling since I could remember, so it’s something I love to do. :)
Now that I have made this blog post much longer than I meant it to be…I hope you are having a wonderful time and thank you for tuning in. You are amazing. :)
Until the next one,
Thalia <3

factory workers are characters too, or, some issues a tsc fan sees in tsc, pt. v
okay, personal storytime for context here. i broke the plot of a d&d one-shot once. it was a murder mystery, this dignitary gets poisoned and naturally we went down to the kitchens to see if they might provide a clue. when the cook informed us of two new hires, i asked who provided references for them. when told they came without references, i wanted to know just what cook would hire unreferenced staff when security needed to be so tight around the person they were serving. at which point the dm politely informed me they didn't have references because she hadn't thought anyone would ask about that.
now, i have no problems at all with these kinds of holes when they come from college-aged d&d masters who, by her own confession, aren't too familiar with murder mysteries. but I do have issues when a traditionally published author who seems pretty okay with a very high word count leaves holes like this and the hole i want to talk about today is a relevant one to this story: missing working-class witnesses.
the place this really shows up and sticks out to me is in the infernal devices. axel mortmain, our dear magister, is a captain of industry. he owns factories. so when he reveals himself as Villain of the Series, what happens to them? does he close them all and send everyone home? kill all his workers and turn them into automatons? why do the shadowhunters, from what I can tell, never question any of his foremen and factory workers, people who would likely be able to provide a good picture of what's going on…and who would have more freedom to speak than those people the magister personally works with and knows? for that matter, what about his household staff? granted, they were probably mostly automata but the cook at least would've likely been mundane. when de quincey was under suspicion and also missing after the death-cult-thing, did he not have staff and subjugates who could be questioned to provide context?
for that matter, this carries over to the last hours, too: it's stated plainly in chain of iron that the blackthorns have a housekeeper but nobody asks her any questions about anything.
if i were in charge of an investigation of that magnitude these'd be some of the first people i'd ask. they're often ignored by their employers and they're in positions to witness firsthand what others would not. they might have already put together pieces the investigators haven't, but haven't yet had a safe chance to share what they've figured out. and even if they don't have the secret codes or the next step in the evil plan, they'll be able to provide context that might help form a better picture of the people involved. and they could be interesting characters in their own right, with narrative potential as more than just witnesses to a crime. and yet they get as overlooked by the narrative as they do by the classist snobs who employ them.
or maybe, if the book's supposed to be hundreds of pages, the problem is that asking these people might reveal the plot's secrets too soon.
"some issues a tsc fan sees in tsc" is an attempt to break down the unacknowledged things in tsc that i unearthed reading chain of thorns, rereading the rest of the series in preparation for it, and writing two longform fanfics (one of them a genderbent canon reworking) for the last hours. click on the "some issues..." tag to see more of these.

Which member of the SE system do you think would respond best to you Infodumping about your interests? Because I just reread my favorite manga and people WILL hear about it. Mostly Saeyoung and Lila, but if anyone from the system gets caught in the crossfire then that’s on them
(Also hi!! It’s been a while, I miss you <3)
SE Ray loves to listen to your interests, hands down. He spends a lot of time working throughout the bunker on cleaning or cooking since that’s what gives him a sense of control. He is the most outwardly honest about enjoying listening to whatever it is that you have to talk about. There is never a shadow of a doubt about it! He loves knowing what makes you happy, since he makes sure to affirm that he's listening by engaging with questions now and again. You never have to think twice about it. You can count on him to look up from the table he’s working at to ask, “So, why did Tohru decide to do that?”
He’s also one of the two that will engage with you while other people are in the room! He doesn’t mind answering and talking back to you if Lila or Saeyoung are in the room! Those two don't bother him when it comes to focusing on making sure that you feel like somebody understands the things that matter the most to you. He knows that you need to be affirmed by more people than just him when it comes to this! Just... be mindful, he makes treats based on things in every one of the manga you read.
Grave [SE Suit Saeran] is the one that is hard to read. It's difficult to understand what's going on in his head because while he doesn't talk to you about what you're talking about, he doesn't tell you to go away when you do it. So, it's hard for you to know if he's annoyed by it or if he's actually interested. A part of you knows that he would send you away if he didn't have the time or patience to deal with this, but another part of you is still a little insecure about how he feels about it. He’s reading his own novel as you sit nearby on the floor, and that’s not not all that bad. Being with him gives you a quiet space to read.
However, it is the simple fact that you are alone with him that means there is a strong chance that he could ask you a single question at any point during your time together. Imagine the look of surprise on your face when he stops you mid-sentence to ask, “And why did Homura keep trying when it was only going to repeat itself again and again?”
SE Saeran is somewhere in the middle, and by that, I mean that you can guess that he’s bouncing between Ray’s interest and Grave’s interest. You don’t know what you get with him... sometimes he wants to listen and other times he makes no point to engage with you or listen. It really depends on how much energy he has and how willing he is to put up with what he's dealing with. He knows that it means a lot to you otherwise you wouldn't be spending so much time trying to tell him why you like it so much. He doesn’t get why it matters so much, but it clearly means a lot to you.
So, imagine that! You’re watching him work in his little garden while you sit on the edge of the back porch. He pauses, letting the tomato in his hand come to a rest as you stop to flip the page in your manga. “So, you’re telling me that there’s genuinely someone who is willing to risk the price of wishes coming with a cost if it means they can have something? All in the confines of a restroom? Who even writes these stories?”
Su-Jin [Kid Saeran] is the one that you already know is going to listen from the first second you speak to him. The only issue you'll have with him is the fact that he has a tendency to talk over you when you're talking but he does apologize for it after you tell him that that's rude. He gets excited because he can see you're excited so you're in for a lengthy conversation when you tell him that you'd like to tell him a story that you enjoy. He takes being told a story seriously since he's so easily swept away by whatever mystery you can give to him.
He likes to sit next to you in a blanket fort, reading over your shoulder as you take the time to tell him what’s going on in the story. With wide, interested eyes, he listens with a chatter. “So, when will the princess from the moon find out that she’s been so close to her prince all along, noona? Is it going to make her happy or sad... because she’s missed so much time with him again...”

1, 6, and 9 for the book meme?
book asks!
1: book you’ve reread the most times?
Ohhh, good question! I'm not sure, but I think it might be a three-way tie between Neuromancer, Dune, and The Name of the Wind. I know I burned through The Lies of Locke Lamora at least twice, because it felt the most like rewatching a favorite movie, and Caves of Steel because it's got the best premise any novel can have (human detective and his robot partner solve a mystery) but I think over the course of my life, I've gone through Dune at least three or four times now (counting the audiobook) and Name of the Wind at least three times.
It also depends on what you call a "reread" -- I can rewatch movies and even whole TV series for fun, but books are harder for me! The time and effort investment, I guess, since you have to focus on words on a page and not just let them wash over you (I really need to get more audiobooks!). So for a lot of my favorites, I'll go back to specific moments or passages and reread those a bit more often, especially with Rothfuss. I've only read Wise Man's Fear once because, like, c'mon man. But also there's sections I've reread multiple times because he can turn a fucking phrase like few others!
OH. Shit. Add The Long Goodbye and The Thin Man to the list too. I've reread both of those multiple times, particularly Hammett's book because it's just such a fun, dry-humored romp from start to finish. Countless hours spent in my teenage years, listening to the Gyakuten Meets Jazz Soul album, reading about Nick and Nora Charles solving that one dumb mystery while trading barbs over too much liquor, and then turning right around and reading about Phillip Marlowe just having the most unpleasant days. Good times!
6: what books have you read in the last month?
...I mean do comics count? Cuz I burned through like four volumes of Kentaro Miura's Berserk over the past month, as well as the four volumes that exist of Tatsuya Endo's Spy x Family (which is what's currently dominating most of my free mental processes). Last month, it was A Memory Called Empire, and restarting Dune Messiah after losing my place in the audiobook.
There's always too much I'd like to be reading, or have intentions to read. I'd love to finally find out what everyone loves about those Attolia books, maybe get through the Riddler-Master of Hed, dive into A Desolation Called Peace and never come out, dig into authors whose body of work I've always been interested in but never sat down with, like John Le Carre or Elmore Leonard, finally really commit to reading entire series whose first book I only ever touched like Malazan or Black Company, or indulge in my guiltier pleasures and read through all of Eisenhorn or Gaunt's Ghosts or Temeraire...
And now I'm intimidating myself, so I'm going to stop thinking about it!
9: when do you tend to read most?
I need to really set aside time for it, so afternoon or evening when I don't have anything else going on, and usually in the fall and winter when I don't have anything outside to feel bad about not doing. I tend to binge-read, hard for me to put something down once I've started it, but it's the starting to read that gets me every time. It's an anxiety thing, I presume, along with most of my idiosyncrasies!

37. What fic has been the hardest for you to write?
71. Do you spend more time reading or writing?
13. Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what have you been listening to recently?
Of course! Music is my entire life and I always have music ready for any occasion. Recently, I created an album sorta inspired by this masterfully-written fic Virtuoso, which you can find here. It's a decent mix of classical music and creepy pop(?) songs that I think really encapsulate the theme of the fic. I've been listening to that almost constantly! But when I'm focusing on world-/character-building, I mainly keep the classical music running along with some other quiet instrumentals.
36. What fic are you proudest of?
The fic that I'm proudest of hasn't even been published yet! I've been working on a fic inspired by a beautiful piece of artwork for the past week and a half. It's definitely my most ambitious fic so far! I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say that there's a lot of subtlety. I've been neurotically reading, rereading, and rerereading it just seeing if I've missed/overlooked anything. My beta reader has sent me so many analyses of this same story, I screenshotted them all and love to reread them. It's also super bleak, like really really bleak. I hope you'll give it a read when it comes out (Wednesday the 15th)!
As for the fic I'm proudest of that has already been written... I'm thinking probably Into The Shadows. This fic is a oneshot and isn't part of any fandom, but I distinctly remember getting inspired and letting the words just flow right out of me. I think it ended up being a great story (and I even mixed some creepy ambient music to play while you're reading it 🙃)
37. What fic has been the hardest for you to write?
Ooooof... Probably Those Damn Flowers. Because this story has been published for a while, I'm not going to worry about accidentally spoiling anything. As someone who deals with memory loss, writing about Shouta's memory loss (both from his perspective and Hizashi's perspective), I felt everything I was writing. It was really tough, writing how hard it was, how unsure it made Shouta, how Hizashi didn't know how to act around him anymore, etc. I even considered putting the story on a short hiatus while I recentered myself. All in all, I'm glad I didn't. I powered through and got the fic done and it was met with a pretty positive response!
71. Do you spend more time reading or writing?
I am definitely more of a reader. I've loved to read since I was a kid, and that has only grown as I've gotten older. My Marked For Later tab on Archive is consistently over 5 pages long (not counting how many are in my History)! But I also read some pretty great physical books too. Recently, I've read The Mystery Of The Masked Marauder, If We Were Villains, and I've reread Between The Lines (my favorite book!). I always have book recs fitting pretty much any genre!
Sorry this took a while to answer. I wanted to wait until Archive was back up, then my browser crashed, but we're all good now!

Don't Quit Attempting to Do The OAB With no Being aware of These 7 Hints
It's Sunday! Ultimately the time has come! The lengthy awaited proof of your OAB that can be applied all through the national territory. And it can be precisely now that one must be aware of certain errors that may perhaps imply the loss of points or, worse, the candidate's disapproval proper off the bat. And we don't want this to occur!
It really is time for you to turn on the radars to be clever about the bugs that could compromise overall performance on Sunday. It tends to make no sense to study so much for the moment of truth to ruin every thing with silly but hugely compromising errors. Paying attention towards the smallest information is fundamental at the time in the test specifically for the full potential of one's bank account! For additional information and facts pay a visit to http://superandobarreiraspeloem.blo.gg/2018/march/7-valuable-guidance-for-your-oab-proof.html
It is a single point to become reproved for not recognizing, a different to be reproved for nonsense. Let's check, 1 by one, the blunders that may not be produced at the time of your test: 1. Do not scratch proof You might receive two notebooks: one, containing the space where you may put the answers, and a different, the draft, which will also possess the inquiries elaborated by the FGV. Just scratch the sketch. Just put the answers in the test notebook. It might seem like a banal tip, but it will not be! 2. Usually do not write your answers out of space Several candidates, in writing their answers, leave the space for writing, writing beyond the line demarcated. Don't flee from the spaces for the answer. Retain the writing within the parameters imposed by the proof! 3. Usually do not sign your test In all Exam an individual signs the proof, places a rubric or does a thing regarded as as identification by the bank. It really is a reproach, not to be missed! Now I emphasize an incredibly necessary point! Initial of all, read the test instruction sheet. In it can be contained anything you might want to know to produce the petition appropriately.

4. What if I miss the spelling? It continually occurs with any candidate. With practically 90% in the candidates, if not more. Sooner or later you happen to be going to commit some rasurinha, a bit pencil, one thing out with the square. What to perform? It's uncomplicated, basic and with out mysteries. A bit bit about the wrong word and nothing at all more. Nothing additional! If they do it differently, it may be a problem! 5. Verify the number of sheets to write the practical-professional piece Count the amount of sheets you will need to write and be convinced that you won't burst the web page limit with the response book. Overkill? Several candidates invest all of the sheets in the piece's function and must make use of the back from the final sheet to complete the petition. You will certainly drop a great deal of points, and run the threat of being disapproved for supposed identification. It truly is a simple matter of focus. Delimiting properly the space for writing is definitely an completely required measure. 6. Give your tests a decent presentation What exactly is a decent presentation on the test? Skip lines, indent text and make use of spaces. Usually do not use legal "enrolles" to create your petitions. Usually do not fuss at language capabilities: just use technical language inside a relevant way. Study point by point the proof. Your requests may have topics that conform towards the challenge presented. Have an understanding of the issue, delimit the topics and treat them in an objective, concise and individualized way. When coping with a subject, structure it in a uncomplicated way: A factual question, as presented and summarized / synthetic; Indication with the pertinent legal option, with all the necessary and indispensable declination in the applicable legal provisions inside the hypothesis or precedents of applicable jurisprudence; A remedy that is appropriate in accordance with all the applicable legal alternative, or requiring the reform of a choice, the conviction or the disconstitution of a contrary argument. Every subject should be constructed inside the way presented above, in an objective, simple way. That is precisely what the bank desires. Nothing at all but! It is not uncommon for several candidates, given that they don't understand the problem, to flee from what exactly is being proposed then to resort to it with no possessing any basis. What the OAB and FGV prefer to know is in case you are in a position to know an issue scenario and present an suitable resolution with all the relevant legal foundation. For that reason, create with clarity of language and objectivity. 7. Do not invent information
We had a transform in an important point in the edict of Examination XIX for the edict of Exam XX. It was not allowed to mark "XXX" to indicate abstract information inside the race. Nonetheless, this rule has changed in this announcement. There 3.5.9. says: Within the preparation from the texts of the experienced piece along with the answers to the discursive inquiries, the examiner must include things like all the necessary information, with out, having said that, producing any identification or info apart from those provided and permitted within the statements contained in the test report. Hence, the examiner should really create the information name followed by ellipsis or "XXX" (instance: "Municipality ...", "Date ...", "Lawyer ...", "OAB ...", "MunicipalityXXX", "DataXXX" AdvogadoXXX "," OABXXX ", and so forth.). The omission of data which might be legally necessary or vital for the correct option of the proposed predicament will outcome in discounts inside the score attributed for the examinee at this stage If it really is essential to place details that may be not in evidence, which include a supposed date or place, only to meet the formal requirements in the part, the candidate or puts ellipsis or "XXX" to demonstrate that it recognizes the specifications of that subject of his piece. And you ought to do so in strict accordance together with the rule of item three.5.9. Remembering that the ellipsis or "XXX" will be to fill in details, and should not be utilized unrestrictedly. Additionally, one particular can not invent knowledge not contained in the piece, under penalty with the candidate to shed note. The fundamental rule is: usually do not make up something. In localities, dates or private data, for instance identity or CPF (if the challenge doesn't present this sort of knowledge), the rule should be to use ellipses or "XXX". Placing any abstract quantity will give you trouble.
Now It is Time for you to Organize Your Mind for the Exam Time
We realize that the way right here was not painless: you committed yourself, watched the videotapes, study and reread supporting material along with the cool letter of your law, abdicated your time of rest and leisure. In other words, you worked hard. And you happen to be to be congratulated for it! Determination is half way when the subject is approval. Believe me: that you are properly prepared! Try to remember all your effort these final couple of weeks. Additional so, from his dedication for the duration of college, given that the time of your entrance exam. As hints in the day, we recommend the following: Rest, unwind the thoughts. At most, critique some points you've currently studied for the test - no attempt to understand unknown subjects the day prior to! This will only make you nervous. What you'll need, proper now, is usually to develop confidence and take care of your mental well being, to be at your 100% in the time of testing. Rest assured: you've got ready yourself with who certainly understands the topic. Now just show "who you are" for the examiners. If you were not so prepared, I'd want you excellent luck. But, the fact is, I will want you "good proof," simply because I'm certain you can not must count so much on luck. Very good test! Count on us normally!
