I have an au brewing in my head and I don't wanna give too much away rn but it's mostly going to be an excuse to explore Louis and Lestat continuing to hook up in a modern setting after The Little Drink happens because I need to get all the way in Louis' head about this...

Like what are you thinking what are you FEELING after you hook up with this person you like so much and he drinks your blood... and you get off about it. And it makes you feel closer than you've ever felt to anyone. And you don't know he's a vampire yet... until suddenly you do.

I'm also mildly obsessed with the idea of human Louis having an extended affair with Lestat knowing he's a vampire. There is just… so much to explore there. And I'm gonna give too much away if I keep going so I am SHUTTING UP. 😎

Hero gently taking the villain's hand and villain being struck with their size difference and how fragile yet powerful the hero is

Hero being fed up with the villain's antics and pulling them down by their collar/cape to give a piece of their mind and/or a kiss

Villain comparing the hero to quick, tiny animals with the intent of making them look weak and annoying but instead sounding like they find the hero cute and endearing

Villain appearing in backlight as they tower over the hero down on the ground

Villain clenching the hero's chin with the underlying threat of being strong enough to break it yet being gentle enough to keep them safe

Hero stealing the villain's clothes and drowning into their scent them

Hero struggling and cursing as they pull the unconscious villain away from danger, barely managing due to the weight of the other

Another villain making a joke about the hero being the villain's pet

Laura and Elixir and why I shipped them:

First, have you heard the song No One Does It Better by You Me At Six? Was obsessed with them around the time I first read this. Such a JoshxLaura song. Especially love the part where he sings “no one does it better” in the background underneath the “if I just save you”. Logan’s slogan (and Laura’s) “I’m the best there is at what I do.” It just works. Listen to it while you look at these scans and I swear you’ll ship them too. Lmk if you get the lore.

First - THE CHILL BUMPS? I wish I could rewind 12 years and read this for the first time again. Logan’s “It’s inside her” and the way Choi mastered the look of absolute pain on Laura’s face… STOP.

The way she completely hates herself… and she’s so nonchalant about it. “The mission is —“ NO MA’AM.

Logan caring. Love this. “Somebody fucking get to Laura!!” - I can hear his voice and it gives me chills. The panic is felt through the pages. I like to imagine he starts to realize how bad off she is here.

“Yes.” With the thousand yard stare. She’s thought about this for her whole life. ❤️‍🩹

i can't believe there's still people out there who genuinely think Ochako would "kill Toga on sight" at this point

like, okay, there's the anime-only people who aren't aware of manga developments or are actively avoiding spoilers, and of course there's all the people who clearly stopped giving a shit ages ago (yet somehow still feel completely secure making blanket declarations about a franchise they no longer keep up with???)

but even then, and even if you're not a shipper or just don't like the characters-- how can anyone have ever believed that makes any sense ever? like we're not even talking self-defense apparently? just "on sight"? who do you think Ochako is, the Punisher in pink?

like i don't think i'm especially media literate myself, but-- how is it possible for people to be this bad at reading where a narrative is going?

because of course that's exactly what the Togachako plotline was leading up to, clearly the ultimate endpoint of developing Toga Himiko as a sympathetic villain important to Ochako's heroic actualization was a teenager unquestioningly enacting the extrajudicial murder of another teenager

that's exactly what MHA is all about, right? that's the sort of person Ochako is, the kind of hero that she wants to be? that's definitely good storytelling and not at all inane or grotesque? ugh
