hello! just read your sevika works and WOW, I love the way you write her so much!
whenever you have time could you dabble in some sort sevika? something like; having a bath together, or just bathing her, and she ends up crying because she's never felt anything like this before, ty!! ❤️❤️
OH. MY. GOD. FIRST OF ALL??? THANK YOU??? You have no idea how much that means to me 😭😭 Sevika stans are elite, I don’t make the rules. Second of all, yes, I will absolutely dabble in this for you because the image of Sevika just breaking down in a tub is so real that I had to write it out-
____________________________________________
Okay, so picture this:
Sevika’s never been one for softness, right? Like, she’s all sharp edges, clenched fists, and an unshakable poker face that screams, “Don’t even think about it.” But somewhere along the line, you weaseled your way into her heart (as one does), and now you’re in her life, showing her what it’s like to actually let someone take care of her.
So, you convince her to let you help her clean up after another long day of getting her hands dirty for Silco’s operations. She’s stiff at first, sitting in the tub with her back straight like she’s on a battlefield instead of in a warm bath. You gently pull her mechanical arm off (and she HATES letting people do that for her, but for you? She just grumbles and lets it happen).
You grab a sponge, lather it up with soap that smells way too nice for someone as rugged as her (but she secretly loves it), and start washing her back. You’re so careful around her scars, like you’re afraid of hurting her, and that’s when she starts to lose it. Her shoulders tense, and she tries to keep up the tough act, but then you start running your fingers through her hair to rinse out the grime, and—boom. Waterworks.
She doesn’t even know why she’s crying at first, but she just leans forward, her hands covering her face as her chest heaves with these messy, gut-wrenching sobs. And you’re just THERE, holding her head against your chest and murmuring things like, “You’re okay. You’re safe. I’ve got you.”
It hits her all at once: no one’s ever treated her like this before. Like she’s worth this kind of care, this kind of tenderness. She’s always been the one cleaning up other people’s messes—patching them up, fighting their battles. She’s never had anyone do it for her. And now she doesn’t know how to handle it.
When she finally calms down, her voice is so raspy and low when she mutters, “I don’t deserve this.” But you just shush her and kiss her temple, promising that she’s more than earned it, and she just… sits there in the bath, letting herself believe it for the first time in her life.
TL;DR: Sevika’s a big, tough baby who cries the second you show her the tiniest bit of unconditional love, and honestly, same. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

a cursed realization: wade and logan are old men. logan especially so.
they MUST have weird old man habits and general body weirdness. and not the endearing shit like preferring to use old school tech, or having a "get off my lawn, my favourite miscreants" kinda attitude, or being unable to keep up in sex, or any of that kinda cute stuff
i mean the unpleasant sweaty old man smell, having walking farts, snoring while awake, their stomachs just making noises for no goddamn reason bc their digestive systems are no longer 30 y/o
all of which they don't even realize they're doing bc they're old and either a) have more pressing things to worry about [at their age]; b) stopped giving a fuck; or c) both of the above
source: i live with two very old men (my dad and uncle). one is a few years away from retirement and the other is already at that age. they are family but they are still gross old men who act like drunk uncles given half the chance
and while neither logan or wade are in their 60s, these habits don't just magically appear once you hit that age. they begin long before that and accumulate over time until the stinky old man package is complete
"but jercy," you say, "they have perfect regeneration!! they can't have any health problems!! they're too self-conscious to be that gross!!"
1: (re: perfect regeneration) that is an even worse argument for wade, who has mega cancer and canonically does not smell pleasant or have a properly functioning body. he'd 100% have old man problems as a symptom of his cancer bc his mutation is physically keeping him in a constant state of dying. everything he does is out of sheer stubbornness and willpower to make a joke out of his life
1b: to play on a popular headcanon: any aromatic, artificial fruity skincare routine he has can easily be used as a reason for him to cover up his old man smell
2: see point B above for logan
2b: see the movie, logan (2017), or the comic, death of wolverine (2014), for the fact that logan can canonically age/die. albeit it's at a vastly slower pace than everyone else, but it means logan WILL eventually have these issues with his body too, if he doesn't have them already
2c: feral/animalistic logan who takes on animal traits would be so much worse bc wolverines are called "skunk bears" for a reason. wolverines (and any wildlife/animal that you can compare logan to) fucking STINK!! they have EVEN GROSSER ANIMAL HABITS!! you just gotta accept it
3: (re: self-consciousness) you got a point there, but once again refer to point B. most folks i know at their age are on their way to or have already stopped caring about what others think of them. and even if wade and logan are somehow the exceptions to this, i'm sure they let loose in private and probably indulge in their grosser habits when they're alone
4: if you want biblically accurate old man yaoi you're gonna have to contend with the fact that it comes with the non-sexy old man problems. i'm sorry i have to break the illusion but this is the reality we must face together
5: suspension of disbelief, friends. do engage with that once in a while lol
in conclusion: i unfortunately have every bit of confidence that wade and logan are not exempt to old man behaviours and bodily functions and i will die whining about it. thanks for coming to my ted talk

im a comic fan also but the most hardcore ppl are so aggressive, mean and sad ngl
also these comics are 80-90 years old, there have been so many versions canon and whatever over all these years that i fear its not that big of a deal if someone wants to pretend bruce didnt almost decapitate jason, i feel like as ling as what u adopt as truth isnt harmful or prejudiced it really fr doesn’t matter that much that we have to theow tantrums on the internet abt it
thank u for coming tk my ted talk

Given the wide range of BL you've consumed and analyzed. I am curious at your perspective when comparing BLs made/written by men and those that were written by women, in a different direction, comparing BLs directed by men in comparison to women.
If you could have the time and give your perspective in this two sources of BL , that would be great.
Hum, I'm not sure how to answer this. Except in a kind of avoidance way because I question the premise.
I think, in general, in most of the film industry, the original writing has very little to do with the final result, because so many new voices and povs are imposed on it the moment it begins to be adapted. After a BL leaves its author (predominantly female) it goes to script, a writers room, and eventually into the hands of director and team. All those people are different genders (predominantly male). And all of them have a significant impact on the end result.
Sometimes the author has unprecedented influence (mame for example) but that's pretty unusual.
Statistically speaking, the origin IP (whether novel or graphic) is most likely written by a female and the resulting BL most likely directed by a male.
There are always exceptions, of course.
Even putting aside all the other people, mostly script writers, in between the two primaries (which I just don't think you can) it would be statistically challenging to draw any commonalities amongst female directors (since there are so few) or amongst male writers (for the same reason). In other words, we have many many examples of really only 1 of the 4 possible combinations, and all those examples are muddied by the nature of the filming process (not to mention the nature of gender).
In other words, it would be challenging for me to say things are generally preferable in any one version of the pairings.
I have liked BLs written and directed by women, written by a woman directed by a man, written by a man directed by a woman, or written and directed by men (although those last two I would struggle to name any BLs).
However, I have also liked and then disliked BLs from the same general team and combination of genders behind the creatives.
For me, at least, there doesn't seem to be a reliable team or a reliable writer or a reliable director whose BL product I will reliably love.
I would hesitate to place a predictor on my BL taste (or anyone else's) based on the gender of any part of the team behind a BL. That seems..... weird. Especially when queers and 3rd gender etc are involved (and we have always been involved in artistic spaces for as long as humans have existed, I suspect).
But then I feel that way about most entertainment, from music to books to plays to comedy to fashion. I can be a fan of a director's style but not like some of their shows, just as I can be a fan of an actor's performance but not the character they're playing, or a fan of a pair's chemistry but not in those roles, and so forth.
I think what youth and influencers and the internet age has forgotten is that it's okay to admire a creative individual and not slavishly adore everything that they produce. (For fuck's sake though, don't tell them that, you absolute troll.)
Creatives and creative teams also have their own taste, and that may conflict with yours. Especially with newer IP where you might want the same old same old and they need to evolved. Consumers of entertainment are remarkably resistant to creativity, innovation, and change (so oxymoronic) .
It's okay, maybe you'll like their next BL, song, book, painting, performance......
I have no idea how I got here but:
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
I do have some stuff on a queer lens here:

Holding on to Feel the Same
Ao3
The sweet taste of cherry pie lingers on Duke's tongue. With a satisfied sigh, he sets down his fork.
Miss Holloway appears, clearing the empty plate with a grin. “How was it?”
“It was delicious, darlin’. It always is,” Duke chuckles.
The jukebox plays some 80's ballad to the empty diner. The clock on the wall reads a quarter till midnight.
In this moment, it feels like they're the only two people in the world.
Duke gives her a dreamy smile. He stands from his seat at the counter, extending a hand to her. “May I have this dance?”
Musical laughter escapes Miss Holloway's painted lips as she steps around the counter to take his hand. “You certainly can.”
As they sway together to the music, Duke gathers his courage. “I have a question for you.”
“Oh?” Miss Holloway tilts her head. “What is it?”
-
The question hangs heavy in the silence.
Sam takes one deep breath then another. “Never mind,” he finally says through gritted teeth.
“Sam, honey, just talk to me,” Charlotte pleads, voice wavering like she's about to cry.
“Fine.” A hand reaches up to pull off his aviators. His blue eyes are filled with tears. “Why do we keep doing this, Char? We're both fucking miserable.”
Gasping, Charlotte shakes her head. “We're just in a rough patch right. It'll get better-”
“When?” Sam demands, his voice breaking. “It's been years, nothing is getting better, Nothing is helping. Not counseling, not cuddle nights, nothing.”
He takes a deep breath, bringing a hand up to wipe at his eyes. Exhaustion bleeds into his voice. “I'm tired, Char. I'm so fucking tired.”
-
“Then sleep?” Paul suggests, brow furrowed in confusion. “I don't-”
“No, Paul,” Emma tries again with a sigh. Her brown eyes glimmer sadly. “I'm tired of this.” She gestures between the two of them. “I'm not- I'm not the settling down type. I'm not the girl you take home to meet your parents and have a nice little white picket fence life with.”
Blinking, Paul slowly stands from where he had been kneeling. The ring box in his hands closes loudly, the sound echoing in the quiet.
“So that's a no,” he tries to say nonchalantly. His voice still trembles.
“Look, I'm sorry.” Emma tries to console him. A hand comes up to run back through her hair as she watches how poorly he attempts to cover up the obvious heartbreak.
“Okay.” Paul slides the ring box back into his pocket. “Okay.” He gives her a weak smile. “Okay. Thanks for letting me know.”
He gives a thumbs up. “I should go. Take care, Emma.” He heads for the door, hoping she'll call after him.
-
There's no sound.
Ted sits on his bed as he studies the photograph cradled in his hands. Silent tears slip down his cheeks as he stares at the image.
He's there, young and naive, face free of facial hair. He ignores himself in favor of the young woman beside him.
Years have passed but he can't seem to let go. Despite the sadness, resentment burns at his heart just like the tears in his eyes.
She never bothered to reach out to him so why should he go through the trouble of tracking her down? What does it matter If he loves her?
Jenny clearly didn't want him.
The silence breaks as he mutters, “Fucking bullshit.”
-
“What?” Ethan asks, tone stunned as he stares at Lex.
“You heard me!” Anger rages like fire in Lex's eyes. “I work my stupid fucking minimum wage job and come home to cook and clean and all this other shit-”
Ethan tries to shush her. “Babe, keep it down, Hannah's trying to sleep-”
This only seems to infuriate Lex more. Her voice drops to deadly quiet. “I do everything and what do I get for it?” She hisses.
“Babe, you're not alone-” Ethan tries, only to be cut off.
“It sure fucking feels like it!” Lex shakes her head, hands fumbling in her jacket pockets for her cigarettes and lighter. “I just- I need to be alone for one goddamn minute.”
She walks out the door, slamming it behind her.
-
Pete flinches at the sound. He stands on the doorstep, unsure of what to do next.
On the other side of the door, he can hear the mayor and Steph yelling at one another. He winces at their raised voices, taking a step back.
After what feels like an eternity, the shouting stops. The door flies open and Steph storms out. She takes Pete’s hand, squeezing so hard it feels like his fingers might come off.
Pete waits until they've walked a couple blocks before he stops, tugging Steph to a halt as well.
She turns to look at him, tears streaked with mascara running down her face.
He pulls her into a tight hug, unsurprised when she slumps against him.
“He hates me,” Steph manages to get out before her voice gets stolen by a sob. “He hates me and I don't know why.”
-
“He's just adjusting,” Tom assures, frowning slightly. “I'm sure he doesn't hate you.”
Becky sighs. “Tim said it to my face, Tom. I don't know if he thinks I'm trying to replace his mom or that I'm trying to steal you from him,  but he said it and it felt like he meant it.”
Tom fidgets with the piece of wood in his hands. “I'm sure he'll come around, Beck. He's nine. Big emotions and all that.”
Nodding, she sighs again as she sinks into a nearby chair. “I don't want to cause problems between you and your son,” Becky explains, “But I don't want to lose you again. It was hard enough the first time.”
-
Wiley laughs, a harsh, gravelly sound. “Really now? What, were you heartbroken over me, Johnny? Crying into your pillow like some lovesick teenage girl?”
Without thinking, John hits his fist off the plexiglass that divides the two of them. The ache in his hand is nothing compared to the pain in his chest. “I loved you!” he snaps, composure completely shattered.
Smirking, Wiley takes a step forward, placing an open palm on the plexiglass, right over John's fist. “I think you messed up there, Johnny. You said it in past tense. We both know you're not over me.”
The tags around John's neck feel like they weigh a thousand pounds.
Wiley's grin only grows. “Oh, I know you,  Johnny. I know you even better than you know yourself. You keep hoping I'm going to come back. No matter how much you try to push it down, try to ignore it, you just can't get rid of that hope.”
It hurts. John feels like he can't breathe. His hand relaxes, his palm pressed against Wiley's through the plexiglass.
“You want to beg for me to come back.” Wiley's eyes glint maliciously. “Go on.  Just ask.”
-
Duke swallows nervously. “Would you want to go on a date sometime?”
Their dancing comes to an abrupt halt as Miss Holloway stares at Duke, something akin to horror in those bright blue eyes.
“Oh, Duke…” She steps away from him, shaking her head. “I'm sorry, but I can't.”
His heart drops. “But I thought-” he starts.
“I'm sorry,” She repeats. She reaches up like she's going to cup his face, but jerks her hand back like she's been burned. “I'm not… you could do better.”
“But I want it to be you,” he counters almost desperately.
Shaking her head once more, Miss Holloway turns away from him. “It's late. You should get going. I need to close up.”
Defeated, Duke heads for the door, the bitter taste of rejection lingering on his tongue.

If Hotch is often described as a Stoic because of he rarely shows his emotions, then he’s probably the most flawed Stoic we've ever seen.
We often confuse “Stoic” with “emotionless,” but that’s not what Stoicism is about at all. The Stoics didn’t hate emotions, they just believed you shouldn’t let them boss you around. Instead, they thought emotions should be guided by reason, not blind impulse or fear.
A true Stoic takes their feelings, examines them, and asks, “Does this help me live a virtuous, meaningful life?”
Hotch is more like, “Let me just bottle this up and hope it doesn’t explode later”
Sure, he’s calm under pressure, but that doesn’t mean he’s a master of emotional control.
Guilt, duty, loyalty - while these feelings might originate from a "noble" place, they often control Hotch far more than he controls them. His overwhelming sense of guilt, self-blame, and desperate need to save everyone drive him to the edge, and it’s quite of a wonder he manages to keep it together... until, he doesn’t.
His emotions are messy, powerful, and deeply human. He's driven by them all the time actually.
Again, that’s not Stoicism.
The Stoics aimed for something called 'apatheia', which is about achieving inner peace by understanding your emotions and responding to them thoughtfully - guided by reason (logos). Hotch, on the other hand, seems to think if he doesn’t talk about his emotions, they’ll disappear
(Spoiler: they don’t. They just turn into guilt, sleepless nights, a broken marriage, and even more paperwork because, one day, he casually decides he wants to crash himself into the unsub’s car)
(I probably should have mentioned that he’s also the one who’s shown crying the most, but I’m sure you all already knew that)
Probably he is even the most human character of all the team.
'Stoic' is a hot adjective, but Hotch is even hotter.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

SEASON 3
- okay the camping trip + camino arc is like 3 naruto arcs in one (kota hating heroes and getting saved by deku = that kid from the land of the mist hating heroes and getting saved by naruto, a troop of some bad guys taking bakugo, the deuteragonist, because they want him to join their league = orochimaru's lackeys taking sasuke away, the fact that they had a competition and some exams in order to be able to go to the camping trip = the different parts of the chuunin exams).
- here's the thing i've noticed, before anyone says im comparing bnha to naruto too much: i think horikoshi uses a lot of popular shonnen tropes and pays a bunch of homages to other shonnen manga on purpose. what purpose? the subversion of expectations. here's the thing, if you're a new watcher who has already watched a bunch of different shonnen animes (like me with naruto), when you see bakugo being taken by the league, even if you don't immediately think of sasuke, you still might guess that now bakugo is going to turn evil, because that's how the story usually goes. instead, horikoshi reminds us bakugo isn't sasuke or your average shonnen deuteragonist, and reestablishes the core values of this character. the reason i draw so many parallels to naruto is because it's the shonnen anime im most familiar with, but im sure a one-piece/hxh/bleach/dgbz/etc fan could do the exact same thing.
- tl;dr: what im trying to say is that the ways in which horikoshi draws inspiration from other shonnen anime isn't lazy; it's not that he doesn't have ideas so he copies. i think he's actually very clever in the way he handles all those influences. thank you for coming to my ted talk.
- anyway back to plot
- i can't believe deku's mom gets hate for literally being a good parent. of course she's not going to want her son at UA after everything she's seen. not all anime single mothers can be mito-san (hxh), and they don't need to be.
- deku's arms are like. about to die. and im not saying that this is never brought up again, but i feel like in the later seasons he didn't exactly hold back. although he's literally trying to come up with a technique so that he can use them again, so idk. iida's hand injury hasn't really been brought up yet either.
- i forgot to mention this before, but shigaraki uses a lot of videogame analogies (he calls big heroes "final bosses", for example) in the same way that deku uses a lot of comic book analogies (if this was a comic book, he would be the protagonist" said by deku about todoroki).
- but it's interesting because, in shigaraki, i think this is used to showcase his immaturity: we associate videogames to kids, and so by using these sort of analogies the author reinforces the childish characterization of the antagonist.
- deku, on the other hand, uses comic book analogies for the sake of meta jokes with the audience (saying todoroki would be the protagonist when he's actually the protagonist of his comic book), which goes back to all the different homages and references horikoshi does to other shonnen manga and anime. i think bnha doesn't get enough credit for how meta it is.
- i like how you can tell bakugo is changing during the provisional license exam, not just in regards to his relationship with deku but also with other classmates. like when he's about to be turned into a weird meat-like thing (some guy's quirk) he tosses his weapon to kaminari because he's confident that kaminari will know how to use it.
- lmao deku vs. kacchan pt 2 is really bakugo going "hey btw im traumatized due to recent events but mostly i've always been severely insecure and that's why i bullied you so why did you always follow me?" and deku replying "bitch bffr i hate you but you're like the coolest guy i know"
- i know i've said it a lot but i really love the foil-like relationship of bkdk and how it's written.
- something idk if i have mentioned at this point or not is that i love uraraka and tsuyu. they're my favorite classmate-characters. but honestly, i appreciate much more the effort that the author put into writing each individual character and making them consistent in their personalities, at least up until the end of the third season.
things im noticing as i rewatch bnha, an ongoing thread:
SEASON 1
- deku really was such a nerd lmao he's just like me fr (like i KNEW but i didn't remember how much i could relate to it. oops.)
- it's also interesting that he always fights back against bakugo and calls him an idiot a lot. idk why (probably because of fandom characterization) i remembered early-seasons deku as a lot more innocent and scared of bakugo. like, here's the thing, deku is scared of pretty much everything at the start because he's shy/anxious. he gets nervous talking to most of his classmates (especially, but not only, girls) when he first meets them and starts trembling when he gets elected as class president before handing the role to iida. so basically, his anxiety isn't reserved to bakugo like i remembered – if anything, he seems to get over his fear of getting bullied by him pretty quickly once he realizes he can fight back.
- kaminari tried to ask uraraka out in their first or second day of school and she was like "uhhh i like to eat... uhh... WAIT DEKU CAME BACK FROM THE NURSE'S OFFICE" lol i really didn't remember that
- bakugo's insecurity was always there. as you're reading this you might be thinking i first watched mha with my eyes closed or sth, and you're not very far from the truth. here's the thing, i first watched it when i was like 14-15, so all i knew back then was that bakugo was insufferable and i didn't think further than that. of course, he ended up becoming one of my favorite bnha characters after reading all of the manga, but it's cool to realize his character arc was foreshadowed from the beginning and didn't just magically start around season 3.
- but yeah, anyway, bakugo's insecurity and his envy over deku's natural noble nature was always there, since season 1. also, deku's real admiration over bakugo was also there. like, going back to my other point, deku wasn't just Not Overly Scared of bakugo, he actually looked up to him despite knowing he was deeply flawed. tbh they were always a bit crazy about each other.
- uraraka is so funny i love her.
- all of class 1A was so chaotic good coded
- like they collectively made fun of bakugo on the bus to USJ for being rude lol. they really bonded over their shared dislike for the guy.
- bakugo gets fucking HUMBLED all of s1. i would also be irrationally angry ngl.
- the dialogues in the first season sometimes are so unnatural for the sake of exposition, like all might telling recovery girl: "do you mind not talking so loudly ab OFA? only you, a close friend, the principal, and midoriya know about OFA. but most professors and some pro heroes also know about my condition and not being able to fight for more than 3 hours a day" like WHO TALKS LIKE THAT ??!1?1?
- deku had to go to recovery girl's office a total of 4 times (if i counted correctly) for broken limbs of fingers in HIS FIRST WEEK of school. which is funnier considering no one else from class 1A had to go even once.
- damn shigaraki was a skinny legend before he got OP
- aizawa did not react at all when he first saw kurogiri (about the shirakumo thing). that was surprising.
- also. AIZAWA IS SO BADASS?? like yes i knew he was badass from the later seasons, but i genuinely didn't remember his first fighting sequence at USJ where he single-handedly fights like at least 20 villains.
- i had also forgotten that shigaraki calls eraserhead "really cool" so early on in the anime, i thought it was a later-seasons thing.
- this is really obvious but i had forgotten the all might theme's resemblance to superman's theme. it's such a cool little detail tho!
- uraraka and deku definitely were crushing on each other when they first met, but i think it's nice that they ended up developing a really strong friendship instead of getting together after hori didn't consistently develop them romantically. it also makes a lot more sense narratively, like why would we care who deku ends up with at the end of his first year of UA when the story actually ends 8 years after that, and it's very unlikely that you marry the same person you started dating when you were 15. idk, i liked that. i like that you can have two characters who maybe have a crush on each other but can't focus on that due to Circumstances and eventually move on and become good friends. it's a win for the platonic department!
- the animation was kinda bad in the first season 😭 but it's understandable and i had fun watching it regardless.
okay im done with s1 tune in for s2 !!

Okay, y'all. Let's talk about shipping, and I'll even expose myself, fuck it, let's go:
I don't ship or like Reylo or Dramione, and yet I am a slut for Anidala and Buffy/Angel, who are easily just as Problematique when you unpack all of canon
I don't ship or like SessRin, and yet one of my favorite "love stories" of all time is low-key the most Grooming one of all: The Phantom of the Opera
I don't ship or like InuCest, Kaname/Yuki, Elsanna, let alone incest pairings as a whole, and yet one of my favorite manga of all time is Angel Sanctuary. AND I also ship Cesare/Lucrezia!! (both in the TV show The Borgias, and the manga, Cantarella)
I generally don't do cross-species/monsterfucking ships, and yet. Ancient Magus Bride exists. Beauty and the Beast exists. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I generally dislike Adult x Minor pairings, and yet CLAMP's Chobits has one of the cutest side pairings that is incredibly fucked up in the real-world setting (Ueda x Yumi; ikyk). But then again, CLAMP created another Large-Age-Gap pairing in Cardcaptor Sakura that I absolutely DESPISE (Rika x Terada ugh), and yet, in the SAME SERIES ALSO wrote one of the most Wholesome Ships Imaginable (Sakura x Syaoran) AND one of the earliest examples of an Iconic Gay Pairing (Touya x Yukito)
Hell, despite my issues with Large-Age-Gaps, I have a soft spot for Amu/Ikuto from Shugo Chara!, and Nephrite/Naru from Sailor Moon. And yet, I'm squicked the FUCK out of Snape/Harry, Snape/Hermione, etc. Nope. Not my thing
I'm also generally not a fan of the "Male Love Interest consciously/openly threatening to harm/kidnap/assault Female MC" trope and yet!! My biggest guilty pleasure is Alice in the Country of Hearts!! Not to mention several other manga/anime titles I could name!! It's a common trope that I like in some stories, and hate in others!!!!!! Shocking!!!
My point is, you can dislike certain "problematic" ships/media all you like, but don't cast stones in glass houses. We all have our Problematic Faves, peeps, whether you want to admit it or not. Just because You Like It doesn't make it morally exempt from the ones You Don't Like. Ship and let ship, don't like don't read, learn to curate your fandom experience.
And honestly? As a former Puritanical Anti, embracing my trash without needing to justify it (however tame it is by comparison to some, or weird it is to others) has been the most liberating thing in my fandom experience. Give it a try; I highly recommend.

Maybe it’s just the Caitlyn defender in me, but I like to think that she did promise Vi she wouldn’t change.
I’m hoping it is revealed that after the initial ache and rage (like, once Caitlyn cooled tf down), she put up the commander persona around the Noxians and Ambessa, but deep down was still herself.
I don’t think there wasn’t a single day she didn’t think about Vi. She probably feels so so so guilty. Maybe, in that moment, looking down at Vi crying and whispering, she felt the change tugging at her, and she ignored it. Or at least, let it seperate into this Commander Persona, but she never let it completely take over.
That’s why she’s still so vulnerable and loving with Vi after all the time that’s passed. I think the guilt of her actions had chewed away any change that seeped into her bones, and when Vi called her cupcake, it made her realize that Vi didn’t resent or hate her for hitting her. (I’m not defending the abuse necessarily, I’m rationalizing it) (it’s arcane okay everything can be rationalized)
That’s why she does switch up on Ambessa. She knows deep down who she is. Seeing Vi must have just triggered something in her.
SEMI ACT 3 SPOILER 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
In a teaser for Act 3, there is a scene in piltover where Cait and Vi are arguing. Like heavy argue my girl was yelling with her heart. Essentially, Caitlyn is admitting that she let Ambessa feed her delusions while she was weak and vulnerable and hurting. But that’s the key word. She let Ambessa. She was in control still.
She didn’t leave Zaun after her argument with Vi with the intent to take control of the piltie armies and sweep the under city. She was probably wanting to go to fucking sleep, and cry, and eat something, and breath fresher air.
But when Ambessa elected her, she saw it as a distraction. Maybe a bit of her was still so enraged and was hoping for some sort of retribution, but it was never a thought out plan. Like she says to maddie at the beginning of act 2, nothing went as ‘planned’ but I think this means that she didn’t really have a plan, and was just following Ambessa.
Anyways thank you for coming to my Ted talk 🗣️🗣️ this will probably be debunked on Saturday and ultimately meaningless, but some food for thought won’t hurt 😛
Okay, but the exact words of that scene were;
"Promise me you won't change"
"I won't "
She said in that moment that she would change. "I won't" promise

Ok but I’m still gagged by the choice of the white dress covered in her spilled ink for the TTPD set.
The way it’s almost certainly meant to reference a wedding gown just like the music video and how that ties into the narrative of TTPD in general.
The way so many of these songs are about how she’s been wronged and how she’s angry.
The striking image of her floating around on stage unleashing her anger in Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me, or her collapsed on the platform in Down Bad begging to be beamed back up to the space ship. Very much giving dying on the altar waiting for the proof (in both meanings). She’s the jilted lover and the runaway bride. She’s the old widow who goes to the stone everyday and she’s the girl heading towards a shotgun wedding if she keeps this up. She's the unhappily married woman whose life is turned upside down by a man beyond her reach, with the chasm between them widening the longer the set goes on. And then!!! she's taken away (held back?) by the nurses at the asylum -- the crazy wife being committed for hysteria!!! (Actually I don't know what order that comes in in the set -- I'm going to have to find better videos.)
She said that the TTPD set is Female Rage: The Musical, and a lot of that is "I'm pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free." She sacrificed her youth to her demons and to people who never had her best interest at heart. She sacrificed her youth to bad actors who wanted to ruin her. She sacrificed her youth to men who traded promises of commitment for their own safety.
So to see that all symbolized in the white gown, saying "I love you, it's ruining my life," is so powerful. By the time we get to "The Smallest Man," she's covered up in the band (or army dress?) uniform, those dreams finally dead and buried, marching to her own memorial service. They all finally kill her, and her dreams of her future.
IT'S A LOT. A LOT A LOT A LOT.

Boulder would lose his fuckin MIND over Minecraft.
The landscapes, the crafting, the critters running around (especially the fact that he can befriend some of them), just exploring the big wide world with no restrictions and having the time of his life.
And then he figures out redstone and starts building particle accelerators and shit.

I will say this until I am BLUE IN THE FACE. I do NOT want Buddie to happen because of them being drunk and stupid at Chim's bachelor party.
There was absolute uproar in Season Five when they made Buck a cheater by having him kiss Lucy, and the fandom didn't even like Taylor! So why is it suddenly okay for Buck to cheat on Tommy, a good and decent person who is actually liked? Just because you'll get Buddie?
Nah.
And Eddie is still, at the moment, with Marisol, so are we really going to taint two of the best characters by making them both cheat on their significant others?
If this is how we get it, I don't want it. I think this should be a universal agreement amongst the fandom, no argument.
