I hate corporations. There’s this employee at my work that can’t afford to get black pants that the job is “requiring” as if the color matters. And my bosses boss said if he doesn’t show up in black pants that they were going to fire him.

He just got this job to help him get on his feet, only owns 3 pairs of pants in total. And they want to get rid of him because it’s the wrong color???

I’m going to buy him some and tell him I got the company to order them but it’s fucked up that it had to get to this point. Part of me wants to tell him to call HR and see if they are even allowed to do that to him but I don’t want to start shit when I could just buy him some myself

4-7ish collapse into a heap lol. but actually I guess: walk the dogs, make one of these hellofresh meals for dinner (they’re just not that good but something’s gotta give and right now it’s being even slightly creative in the kitchen), treegaze with the boy

I think this should include medications and doctors visits and- scratch that, just healthcare in general needs to be free and disabled people and trans people really can’t have full equality until that’s the case because you’re expecting them to pay so much more money for existing that cis and/or abled bodied people just don’t have to. And that’s not even starting on how systemic racism makes POC more likely to have certain diseases and health problems. It’s like punishing people for being punished by society when they are forced to pay for healthcare.

wheelchairs and canes and glasses and hearing aids and every single other disability aid should be free btw and if you disagree i hate you
