Which just kinda makes this more painful to watch cuz even if/when Keith does develop feelings for her later on (if he hasn’t begun to already), the plot won’t allow Anne’s heart to wander too far to look at other choices

Once again, Hongjoong's voicemail asked you to leave a message. This week, he has been really busy. You couldn't see him at all. You tried to come to the studio, but he wasn't there, so you just gave up and waited for him to come. He didn't. For almost 2 weeks, you didn't receive a call or a text. The only way to see that everything was good for him, was his post on Ateez' social media. You were curious to know if he missed you, even a bit.

While you were scrolling on your Instagram Feed as a boring Friday night, you heard your entrance door opening. Your heart made a jump in your chest, he was finally free enough to come. "Hongjoong?" You asked, not moving a bit from the couch. In a short time, he appeared at the door frame. And honestly, you hated the look he had on his face. It was a mix of sadness and coldness. Something you never saw before. "Oh wow, are you okay? Because you look terrible." "Just tired." He replied, sitting on the seat, next to you but not really close as usual. "Do you want to go to sleep now? The bed is ready in any case-" "Y/N, I came here to break up with you."

A long and awkward silence settled in the room. Your brain wasn't processing the actual situation. It was so sudden. "Wait." You stopped him to say something else. "You can't come here after 2 whole weeks without talking to me, and just say 'let's break up'." "Y/N this is really not easy to do... can you please be more considering?" he sighed, running his hands through his blue hair. "Considerate? You don't even give me a reason. So, no, I won't be more considering." You said angrily. "It's just that I saw Jin at the bakery 1 month ago." He started. "We talked for 30 minutes or something and just with this short chat... I miss her. Like I can't stop thinking about her." You scoffed, not believing that he could do this to you. You stood up from the couch and went to the hallway to open the entrance door. "Where are you going?" He asked. "I'm staying there, but you... Get out." "Y/N, I don't want to-" "Hongjoong, get out. I can't even see you anymore." You stomped, pointing at the hallway. "You ghosted me for 2 weeks, not even asking me if I was okay or even alive. You should have told me that you were doubting about our relationship. But you decided to be selfish and to-" your voice crackhead. You knew sobs would come in a matter of time. "To ignore my feelings." Hongjoong was staring at you. He felt really ashamed of himself. "So, leave now. Please." You were practically begging him to go out of your apartment and obviously of your life. Hongjoong nodded and grabbed his jacket back. He stopped one last time in front of you. "I'm so sorry Y/N." He tried to grab your arm, but you stepped back, disgusted. You just pointed at the corridor once again and waited for him to leave. When he stepped out and that you closed the door, you couldn't hold your tears anymore. They stormed one by one on your face. You fell on your knees, your hand still holding the knob. For a second you freaked out because you couldn’t feel air going in your lung because of the emotion surrounding you. But it was not the worse pain today. You couldn't believe he chose her.

SEONGHWA

You were cooking for your boyfriend. He had a stressful week and you wanted him to relax a bit. Even with his ethic schedule, Seonghwa managed to spend some time with you. The only thing strange thing is that he was physically there but mentally, he was totally absent. It's like he wasn't listening to you anymore or that you needed to repeat every time the same question. "He might really be stressed," you concluded. So, as a good and kind girlfriend, you prepared him a good dish made with love.

The moment you heard the bell rings, you rushed to the door. "Hello beautiful soul," you greeted him. "Hi Y/N," he smiled at you. His smile was a bit sad, but you didn't mind, he was tired for sure. "I cooked a really good meal for you!" You said, entering back in the kitchen. He was following you, his big coat still covering his body. "Are you cold here?" You giggled, "I can turn on the heater if you-" "Y/N, can we talk a bit?" He asked, pointing at the table in the middle of the kitchen. "Sure." You sat down on the chair in front of him, glancing at your lasagna in the oven at the same time. "What's happening?" "You know how I hate lying to you or even hide something." He held your hand on the table. You just nodded, waiting for him to continue his speech. But you secretly enjoyed the warmness of his hands. "So, I will be frank." "You are making me anxious." You said, raising a brow. "I met my ex-girlfriend at the mall last week." He started. "I was about to ditch her, but a part of me wanted to talk to her." You puffed at his face, "you have really bad acting skills babe. I can't believe you." "I'm totally serious Y/N. I still have feelings for her." He finally said. "I'm not believing you." "I was distant a bit these days and I think you noticed it. I was constantly thinking about her." More and more Seonghwa was confessing his love for someone else, more he felt your hands removing the grip on his. "I don't think I stopped loving her honestly. I'm really sorry." You were speechless. You never thought that your night would end so badly. "Y/N, I really tried to convince myself that you were the one and only. But I just can't. I can't lie to myself. And I don't want to hurt you with a one-sided love. You deserve way more than that." He explained, trying to find the right way to make you understand the situation without hurting you. "I wish I didn't see her again, so we wouldn't be in this situ-" "I think I need some time alone," you said before going to the bedroom. Seonghwa was really tormented, he hated seeing you this way, but none of you will stay happy in this relationship, knowing that his heart was somewhere else.

YUNHO

"Oh, I didn't know you like black mushrooms! Hyena loved it too!" Giggled Yunho. You put down the pack of mushrooms you had in your hand. "Finally… I think I don't need it this week." "Hyena was indecisive too," he tickled your chin playfully. You smiled at him but inside of you, your whole soul was boiling. It's been almost a week that Yunho was non-stop talking, praising or even comparing you to his ex-girlfriend, Hyena. They dated for almost 2 years before you. Okay, it was one of his most important relationships, but why does he need to talk about her all the time? Everything started when they met at the supermarket. You saw the scene with your own eyes. You spotted the little sparkles in your boyfriend’s eyes when he was talking to her. You never thought she would be a danger since they broke up on bad terms. Seems like that you were wrong. She was a good threat for your couple. "What else do you need?" He asked, looking at the list. "I think I'm done for today to be honest." You replied, annoyed. "Really? Hyena is so stressed when she goes to the supermarket. She's like thinking she won't find anything anymore." He added. You turned around, to face him. "Can you stop talking about her?" You were about to go back to your course list, but something was wrong. You faced your boyfriend again. "Why are you thinking about her so much? Do you miss being with her?" You asked, praying for him to say no. "I-I, no, of course no." He stuttered. "It's just because we saw her last week." "A part of me wants to believe the lie you just said." He bit his lip once again. He was definitely anxious. "Do you miss her? Yes or no?" You resumed, simply asking him to choose an answer. "This is complicated," he started. "I don't know." You were in the subway, waiting for the train to stop at the right station. You needed to look at the board more than usual because your mind was somewhere else. You couldn't stop thinking of your boyfriend and his ex. He was meeting his ex-girlfriend every day for a whole week now. They needed to work together. They were the daily MC of a new idol program. At first, it didn't bother you. Yeosang was professional and they weren't even talking backstage. Until she starts to engage the conversation with him. When you went there to just say hi, you noticed a strong alchemy between these two. Useless to say that you didn't like it at all. Today, you went there with him again. You wanted to see their whole interactions. You were the first one to be there. Only a few staff were present to prepare the set. The first thing your boyfriend asked was "is Kira there?" He didn't even greet the staff. "No, she will be a little bit late today." "You want to see her so bad huh?" you asked. "Oh, come on don't start." He rolled his eyes. "Don't start what?" You were about to fall asleep when, she entered, her hands full of chicken packs. "Yeosaaang! I got a surprise for you!" She yelled. "Oh, you scared me idiot!" He giggled at her. "Hello," you greeted her. "Oh hi, you are?" She smiled at you. "Yeosang's g-" "Friend! She's my friend." He cut you straight. You looked at him, completely horrified. Why was he lying on something so important? "Oh, nice to meet you," she handed her hand to you. You didn't care about her, you wanted to know why he acted this way. "Why did you tell her that I was your friend?" you asked Yeosang. "Y/N, it's not the moment." "I don't care if it's not the moment!" you replied back. "I'm your girlfriend. If you are ashamed of me then whatever I did, I'm sorry!" "Your girlfriend? I thought you were single Yeo." Added Kira. Your heart clenched, he literally told that he was single. "You told her that you were single?" Your voice cracked. "You are the worst person I know." "I wanted to tell you I swear. I would never do something like this." "Please give me a favor and erase me from your life. Because I'll do it." You said harshly before leaving, bumping into Kira which caused the packs of chicken to fall. You were sorry for not being polite enough, but the heartache you got right now was completely insane.

SAN

Your relationship with San was completely disastrous these days. He was barely talking to you and was completely out of mind. When you asked him what was going on, he was denying everything. Just saying that he was tired or even exhausted. You even asked his closest friend Wooyoung, but he couldn't help you. After a few days, you just gave up. You tried to cheer him as many times as you could, but it went worse day by day. When he was talking to you, he always had this sad smile on his face. You couldn't see this warm and kind presence in him anymore.

Tonight, you stayed at the dorm for the night. You had a movie night with the boys, and everything seemed pretty fine. San was laughing and talking like usual. He was just still a little bit distant with you, but it wasn't a matter anymore. At the end of the movie, everyone went to sleep. Only you and San were remaining in the living-room. "Should we go to sleep?" you yawned. "You can go if you want. I'll stay here for a bit." "You are not tired?" "Not really." "Then I will stay awake a bit too," you smiled at him. Touched by your actions, he smiled back at you. But you notice this sad look on his eyes again. "San," you called him quietly, "come and sit here." You patted the seat next to you. He nodded and executed. You didn't try to touch him in any kind of way, he seemed really tense. "What about you tell me what is going on babe?" You nicely asked. "What do you mean? Everything is fine." "I know you well, so I can spot when you're lying or not." You declared to dissuade him. Your boyfriend didn't reply. He simply stared at his feet. "Tell me." You insisted softly. "I won't judge you." "I think you will," he added. "I won't. Come on... I don't like seeing you like this." He hesitated again. But, seeing your face so worried about him made his heart clench. "Okay... It took at least a few weeks for me to consider the situation and try to find a solution." He glanced at you, looking if your attention was still on him. "I saw my ex-girlfriend 1 month ago." He gulped. "I know it's not a good thing at all. It was a coincidence. She was behind me at the queue." "And what's the matter?" You asked. San struggled to find his words. He knew that it would be hard no matter what he says. The whole situation was a torture for him. He kept this secret for so long that he was overwhelmed by it. "Babe, why are you crying?" you asked, terribly worried now. You tried to comfort him with a hug, but he moved back. "San, I just wanted to-" "I'm in love with her Y/N." He said, looking right at your eyes. He hated himself for doing this to you. The look on your face made his heart break in a dozen of pieces. "W-What do you mean by you love her?" You stuttered. "I can't stop thinking about her. I want to be with her again. No matter how hard I'm convinced you are my soulmate." He sobbed, wiping his tears. "San..." "I'm really sorry. I want to erase her from my mind, but I can't." He held your hands, keeping them on his cheek. "I don't want to lose you." "I need to go." You claimed, grabbing your shoes as fast as possible to leave the dorm. San tried to hold you back, but a part of him just convinced him to let you go. He wasn't sure about his final feelings for his ex-girlfriend. But he couldn't stay cold and distant with you.

MINGI

Yesterday, you talked about going to the amusement park together and he was so excited about this that you couldn't help but to buy 2 tickets the same night. Lucky for you, he had a whole day off. That's why you were surprised when he declined your offer. You didn't tell him that you bought tickets, it was supposed to be a surprise. And you were sure that today, your boyfriend and you, will have a really good day.

It didn't last long since you got to the dorm. You exited the taxi as fast as possible, your tickets right in your hand. You were holding them like if they would disappear. "Yes sure, I'll be glad to go there with you." You heard your boyfriend's voice in the hallway. You didn't focus too much on what he just said because you were glancing too much at the girl figure in front of him. He was smiling so much that it could hurt his jaw. "Mingi?" You called him with a quiet and shy voice. He stopped looking at this girl and focused on you. The smile on his face faded a little bit. But too much for your liking. "What are you doing here Y/N?" He asked, walking towards you. You shyly showed him the tickets for the amusement park that you were tightly holding since you hopped off the taxi. "You were so happy yesterday when he talked about that so I thought it would be a good idea to go today." You smiled at him. "Let's talk a second, please." He grabbed you by the shoulders to bring you in the staircase. "What's going on? And who's she?" "I can't come with you today. I'm sorry but Hyejin needs me for something." You raised a brow, "Hyejin? Like Hyejin, your ex-girlfriend?" He simply nodded, not daring to say 'yes' out loud. "You are seeing each other again? I mean it looks like you planned your day." "We saw each other last week and it was already planned." He said, biting his lip because he knows you will be upset. "Ah. So, you see each other a lot?" you asked. "These times yes, but strictly as a friend." "As a friend? Are you sure?" He was avoiding your stare. Since their first meeting after their break-up, he couldn't stop thinking about her. "Should I take this long silence for a no?" "I'm not sure." He finally replied. "Not sure?" you looked right at his eyes. "How is it possible to not be sure?" "I love you. But I love her too." His words felt like a ton of hammers hitting you right in your chest. Never you thought that these little words would be so painful. "How do you know you love her?" "I-I don't know, I just want to see-" "No wait. How do you know you loved me?" "Y/N, I love you. You should know that of course." "Then you should have been loving me and only me." You claimed, your mouth shaking a bit. "It's complicated..." he sighed. "It's not Mingi! You broke up with her because she cheated on you. Do you hear me? She cheated on you!" You talked enough louder for her to hear you. "I know that." "Are you really considering going back with someone who broke your heart?" You asked, completely disgusted. "She changed, she told-" "I can't." You cut him straight, bumping into him so you could exit this creepy staircase and stop seeing his face. Just before opening the entrance door, you saw her. With this arrogant smile on her face. You wanted to insult her, to punch her on this cold floor and yell that Mingi didn't deserve someone like her. But you just walked out and jumped in the first taxi. You were so disoriented that you couldn't even breathe anymore. The taxi driver didn’t have enough time to ask you where you were going, that you busted in tears on the back seat.

WOOYOUNG

“Hi guys”, you greeted the boys. “Hello Y/N,” said San, waving at you. “If you are looking for your boy, he’s choking at the cafeteria.” “What is he doing here? I thought he wanted to keep his diet.” “We don’t know but he seems pretty confused these days.” Added Yunho. “Alright... I go check on him.” You said, leaving the backstage room. As fast as you could remember, you went straight to the cafeteria. Exactly as the guys said, Wooyoung was there. He was bent over the balcony, his gaze lost on the city under him. His back was facing you, but you could feel a strange aura coming out from him. You opened the door slowly and joined him. “I think you are going to hurt yourself if you jump this high.” Wooyoung giggled lightly. “Even if my body is going to crush away, that wouldn’t be the painful thing right now.” “That’s not ready a mindset you should have before going up on stage.” You stated. “What’s going on?” Your boyfriend sighed once again. He was still looking right at the crown under the balcony. “Do you think you are going to forgive me?” “For what?” “For falling in love with someone else.” You looked straight at him. You could easily say when your boyfriend is joking but now, you saw that it wasn’t the case at all. “Are you...?” “Serious? Yeah. Sadly I am.” He ran his hands through his black hair. “I’ve met Soojin backstage and my dumb heart fell for her again.” Even if you were disappointed and sad about this unexpected confession, you couldn’t be mad at him. “It’s okay. We can’t control our feelings.” You tried to comfort him. “You are not mad at me?” You shook your head, “it’s better that you told me before doing stupid or regret it for the rest of your life. Right?” “You are so... perfect! Why I am so stupid!” He punched his forehead. You held his hand before he could hurt himself. “Don’t. Feel. Mad.” “If only I could turn off a button to erase these feelings about her!” “Maybe it’s just because you saw her...” Before Wooyoung could explain, Seonghwa interrupted both of you. “Lovebirds stop flirting! Wooyoung we need to go.” You were not lovebirds anymore. “I’m coming!” He yelled back. “Let’s go.” “I think it’s better if I don’t come with you.” “Y/N...” “Don’t worry about me! I’m a strong and grown girl!” You flexed your arm. “I really need to go but I don’t think I’m done with you.” He patted your back. You nodded enthusiastically just to make him leave. No way, he could be here to see the “strong and grown girl” busting in tears.

JONGHO

You had a day off today and decided to spend it by your own since Jongho was too busy to hang out with you. Despite the disappointment, you didn’t give up and motivated yourself to enjoy a solo shopping day. You bought everything you found cute. Your only thought was to wear it for your boyfriend. All the compliments he told about your look since the first day you met, gave you a big head.

When you claimed that you were done for today (or better to say when you receive a message from your bank account asking you if your credit card was stolen), you went back home. On the way, you heard your boyfriend’s laugh not far away from you. Even if you thought that it was impossible, you followed your instincts and turned around. You were absolutely right; he was there at the terrasse of this cafe. Laughing with this girl who was smiling widely at him. Instinctively, you hid behind the nearest bus stop. A bunch of people were looking at you weirdly, but your attention was right on the scene in front of you. This girl’s face was familiar to you. “Is she a staff member?” You whispered. Instinctively, you took your phone off your bag and texted Jongho. [“Where are you?”] [“Practice room. Busy.”] “Sure...” you grunted. He was lying to you and seemed to be perfectly fine with it. Before sending him another text, you kept listening to their conversation. You didn’t know what to expect from Jongho. He seemed so different. So fake. Exactly how the boys described him when this girl is around. [“Hope you are having fun because Sienna looks like she is.”] Sienna. His ex. You saw an old photo of both of them on Jongho social media before you started to date. When the boy read your message, you saw his facial expression being confused. [“Where are you? I can explain.”] You didn’t want to confront him by message. You got out of your hiding place and walked just in front of the table. “Hello lovebirds.” You greeted them sarcastically. “Y/N...” “Who is she?” “I’m Y/N. His current girlfriend.” You replied before he could. “But I don’t think I will stay it for long because I heard your conversation. Seems like he really wants to go back with you. Congratulations.” You clapped arrogantly. Jongho stood up, gripping your wrist, “Y/N stop. We will talk about that.” “I don’t want to talk about it with you. Wait.” You paused, pointing at him. “I don’t want to talk with you anymore.” “Y/N.” “If I didn’t cross the street randomly, I would never hear you saying that you missed to be with her and that you never stopped to love her.” “I can explain.” He repeated. Angrily, you grabbed the lemonade glass on the table and poured it on Jongho. “Too late for your miserable explanations Choi Jongho.” You throw the glass on the floor right between both of you and left them there. People would probably think that you did it to be dramatic, but no it was only to show Jongho how you felt. Broken inside.

This is originally written for @youngjbambisonyounggyomark but really can be for anyone that wants to know more about SF9, a seriously underrated VERY TALENTED and fun group of boys. First things first! ABOUT THE GROUP!

SF9 stands for “Sensational Feeling 9″ cause there are 9 and they make you feel SENSATIONAL! The fan name is “Fantasy” (which is cute, I get to say I’m a fantasy huehuehue). They’re considered a dance group (you’ll see why when you watch some dance practice videos BOY HOWDY will you) and they debuted in October of 2016.

YOUNGBIN

Listen I’m not just starting with him cause he’s my bias, I’m starting with him cause he’s the leader. I’ll be honest, when I first started looking up pics of them to learn who they were I didn’t find him the most attractive and then as I started watching more and more videos and vlives I came to realize this hecker had bias wrecked me. I believe the term is Bolmae and he bolmaed the heck out of my life. He is SO good and sweet and funny and he loves his boys so much he’s such a good leader, but the kind of leader that is really laid back. Youngbin is aggressively noncompetitive most of the time. Like he works so hard but when it comes to goofing off he doesn’t really care if he loses at like arm wrestling or something. He does this lil closed eye smile that melts my soul, and he had a minty mullet for their Mamma Mia comeback that also went lavender, silver and blonde WOW so good.He’s in the rapline but an incredible dancer. He says the best feature about him is his hands and they are very good hands. Some people call him stupid but he’s NOT he’s actually pretty smart but he is very TRUSTING and gullible. He takes things at face value and has been tricked easily but that doesn’t make him dumb, if anything it just shows what a sweetie he is.

INSEONG

Now moving on to the oldest, meet Inseong! He speaks English pretty well as he did study in London for about a year. He is fluent but sometimes when he’s put on the spot he’ll forget words and it’s suuuper cute cause he gets so embarrassed. He has dimples that could knock you out, but despite this sweet face don’t be fooled, he’s about six feet tall (most of the boys are at least 5′10″ actually!). The other members consider him the smartest which makes sense cause he’s from a well off family who made sure he had access to a great education. He definitely can come across as a little spoiled but it’s actually really endearing cause it’s really just him putting on an act about getting sulky or offended. The entire hyung line act like goobs together and are the most delightful obnoxious trio. Inseong also has a thing with chairs, he’s either tripping on them, falling out of them or carrying them around which seems random but what some videos and you’ll see what I mean.

JAEYOON

Gaw this group is FULL OF VISUALS and Jaeyoon is leading the pack. More dimples and a smile that would melt a glacier. The other members consider him the manliest of all of them and I think everyone can acknowledge he got the best booty of all (I’ve got more pics, I can share). He seems like a pretty laid back guy and doesn’t get shaken easily but actually he IS SO SCARED of roller coasters and haunted houses n stuff it’s precious. One time in a haunted house he got so spooked he accidentally begged the ghosts not to hurt them cause they’re FNC’s newest girl group - which isn’t far off cause Jaeyoon is excellent with girl group dances! As part of the hyungline that I mentioned before this boyo is hella prankster and is always being silly and loud. 

DAWON

This hecker was my original bias before Youngbin wrecked me away. I have a soft spot for clowns and Dawon goes above and beyond. He’s not afraid to pull faces and he’s a great speaker often taking the role of “MC” since he’s so engaging and fun. BUT the thing that really won me over is that for the Mamma Mia comeback he had locs and fans were pretty upset about it. At first he wouldn’t budge because he thought that fans didn’t like the look cause they thought it was ugly and he didn’t want to cave for such a superficial reason (Had that been the case I applaud the mentality!!). However, a fan spoke to him at a meet and told him about cultural appropriation and THIS GUY. LOOKED IT UP. AND CHANGED. HIS HAIR. Like that is so unusual for people to do let alone celebrities and I’m STILL impressed what a rad dude forreal. Despite seeming like a total goofball he can actually be pretty chic, and he pretty much does whatever he wants. That includes showing off tattoos while parading around shirtless, and sharing the wifi password for the FNC building while on vlive so fans without enough data can stream!

ZUHO

You know that “looks like a sinnamon roll, actually a cinnamon roll” thing? No one fits that better than Zuho. There’s Fantasy’s that believe him to be a big tough hardass cause he’s tall and has a deep voice (like really deep, hot damn). But they don’t come softer than this guy. He can be quiet and reserved but he has a heart of gold and frankly I would personally fight anyone who hurts his precious feelings. Whenever one of the other members is upset or sad, this lil lion baby is first to comfort them. He’s even chastised Youngbin for making Hwiyoung cry in practice by criticizing his dance too much. Another time a member lost part of their meal to a rock paper scissors game, Zuho not only refused to take any of his food but then SHARED his food and it led the others to share more as well. Legit will cry when you watch it if you have any heart. One factoid about him is one that’s brought up fairly often and it’s that he has TERRIBLE sleeping habits. Apparently he’s a big time snorer/sleep talker/sleep walker and shares a room with managers cause it’s so disruptive to the others. Zuho is also the most friendly of the group, he is always social and making friends with anyone he comes across, even Chanyeol from EXO promoted their Narcissus comeback because they’re friends! OH! He also composes music and had a song each on their Sensuous album as well as their Narcissus album! WHAT TALENT.

ROWOON

Speaking of visuals, Rowoon is CLASSIC VISUAL. Tallest in the group at 6′2″ when I first saw him I was kind of blown away, it’s kind of unreal how flawless this guy is. Because he’s so good looking he already does a lot of acting and has separate schedules from the others but when he is with them he is SO MUCH FUN??? Especially his relationship with the maknae Chani. He’s always showering him with affection and attempting skinship (Chani resists) and it’s GOOD. Rowoon does a lot of promoting for the group too, he really does love all his members. Rowoon can be the mom of the group when looking after the others. He’s the best cook apparently, and when Chani was scared of a roller coaster he made sure the maknae got to sit close to leader Youngbin (the dad). He’s not as loud and rambunctious as the hyung line for sure but still fun. He is usually very sweet and respectful in interviews and pretty straightforward in acknowledging that he is good looking which is refreshing. 

TAEYANG

Once again this guy is deceptively tall, I was super surprised when I learned that he’s almost 6′ tall. He’s also a killer visual and even better HE KNOWS IT. He knows that he’s a total babe but still manages to be SHY. He definitely has his stage personality and his offstage personality. He has KILLER vocals and even amongst a group of dancers stands out as one of the best dancers. It’s kind of unbelievable how talented and skilled he is. Taeyang is certainly the sunshine child of the group and a precious lil babe but if you aren’t careful he will knock you out with his sexy moves, especially in the Sensuous and Narcissus eras. But really he is still a baby underneath it all, to the point that he happily plays with the other maknae’s at a trampoline park with abandon, and sings alongs to kids show songs in public despite being shamed by the actual makenae Chani.

HWIYOUNG

This boy. This good and pure child. This sweet little (tall, again) angel baby. This lovely, darling, etc etc. The trampoline park I mentioned earlier? His idea. ((I SAID THIS DURING MAMMA MIA ERA:He still has a youthful appearance but I have no doubt he’s gonna be one of those guys that very suddenly grows OUT and into a stud)) TIME FOR THE UPDATE? Ya this boy SHOOK THE FANDOM in Sensuous era with some long heckin hair and some killer dance moves. He SHONE as front and center and the look is so good it continues to thrive into the Narcissus era. He came in and wrecked a whooooole lotta Fantasy’s. He can be a total sweetie but he absolutely has a mischevious streak, especially when he’s with Chani. Those boys together are Trouble and can get away with MURDER. This dude has a hella deep voice and is a killer good rapper like damn. That being said he does sing on a couple tracks and is quite good at that too?

CHANI

And we finally reach the maknae, the only one in the whole group under 5′10″ (5′8.5″). Also the opposite of Zuho cause he looks like a cinnamon roll but is actually a sinnamon roll and will kill anyone who mildly inconveniences him. A classic evil maknae. He is VERY cute and VERY good at aegyo and like Taeyang is VERY aware of it but is SAAAASSSSSYYYY AF about it. He’s a total brat and it’s a blast cause the others don’t let it stop them even a little when harassing him and to be honest I think he likes it too even when this little baby is telling off his hyungs to act their age while in the same breath stealing their food. Tsundere AF. It’s never not fun having Chani around (except when he suggests a game and then proceeds to disappear while the others play cause he is TAkiNG a NaP WHAT A BABYYYYYY CUTE AH). He starred in Sky Castle which also drew a lot of attention to SF9 which is awesome!

Okay first things first if you haven’t seen Click Your Heart it’s a kdrama and it stars Rowoon, Dawon, Zuho and Chani and it’s really cute and interesting and I like it a lot. All the boys have at least bit parts in it which I didn’t realize until the second watch through and there’s not that many episodes but definitely recommend checking that out!

For sure check out their dance practice videos, I prefer a lot of them to the MV’s cause the dances are... wow. Dang. Wow. So sharp. So good. But one of my favorites is the a great funny version of O Sole Mio and I’ve watched it like twenty times and it really is what made me fall in love with Youngbin

Wanna-One Yoon Jisung Boyfriend Scenario

You had just gotten off your shift at you work, a coffeeshop

You were in a bit of a sour mood because of a rude customer

And on top of that, it was raining, and you forgot to check the forecast

Which meant you had no umbrella

You cursed to yourself as you walked outside with your bag over your head, trying to shield yourself from the rain 

Some days were crappy, nothing you could do about that

You managed to smile, thinking of taking a hot shower and curling up with your warm cozy bed and blanket at home

You would light a nice scented candle and cuddle up with your laptop and watch the next episode of a kdrama (if this aint me)

Your mood was just improving, halfway done on your walk home, when a nearby car ran over a puddle of water, completely drenching you

You literally screamed in anger and ran to catch up with the driver of the car at a nearby red light

You started banging on the driver’s window, noticing the handsome side of the driver’s face, with multiple ear piercings

You heard a loud “SORRY” as the car zoomed off

He didn’t sound sorry. Maybe it was your imagination thinking the worst possible scenario, but you weren’t in the mood for funny business

You didn’t know what you were hoping to happen, for him to take you home or pay for new clothing or to let you splash him with a puddle but either way none of that happened at all.

You trudged home, unable to hold back your tears as you finished the route, angry

You finally were able to hop in the shower and let the warm water wash away your anger

You gaped at him, angered and confused that your plan didn’t work

For the next week, Jisung kept coming back to the shop, and every time you would try to sabotage his drink, either by giving him the completely wrong order or drawing weird things, at one point you even deadass wrote “Jisucks” on the cup for his order

and EVERY TIME the boy literally just laughed and smiled at you. Did he think you were joking????

He even asked when your shifts were, and would purposefully pop in to get his “daily insult”, as he called it

You made it your liFE’s GOAL to make him angry lmao

You eventually found yourself looking forward to him coming in, thinking about what unique thing you could do to him even when you weren’t working

You got used to his adorable eyesmile and his contagious laugh that you tried so hard stop from affecting you

You learned that he worked nearby, at an entertainment agency

He would always tell you stories while you were working

He would offer to drive you home, and when you asked him if it was the same car he splashed you with, he was genuinely shocked and sorry

“That was you?? Oh my gosh (Y/N ) I’m so sorry I really was in a huge rush that day, I barely saw you”

You couldn’t help but forgive him (even though you pretty much had completely forgotten about the whole thing over the course of getting to know him)

“OHhhHHHHh that’s why you drew angry things on my coffee?”

You nodded, trying to look intimidating, but Jisung only ruffled your hair, claiming that you were “cute”.

Even since then, you continued to do things to his order that would get a reaction out of Jisung, from creepy to scary to cringey

But one day, he just randomly stopped coming

The other baristas asked you about it, and you felt horrible that you didn’t even have an answer to give you

Every time the door would chime indicating someone came into the shop, you would desperately look up in hopes it’d be Jisung

You didn’t realize how much you would miss him, and it was killing you

This went on for a couple weeks, and eventually you started giving up that he would come back

You considered going to the entertainment company, but you scolded yourself for that idea

You really think you two are that close? Get it together (Y/N).

You even considered getting a different part time job, because this one was getting too sour for you

But one day when you were about to close shop, while you were cleaning up the tables, you heard the cashier call out “Oh, Jisung-ssi!” (sorry i had to)

You looked up, you eyes so wide they could pop out of your face and you ran faster than Usain to Jisung (hahhdfaha)

You totally attacked him with a hug, hitting him with your fists

Jisung was shocked from your sudden action, but hugged in you return and patted your head

“What, no scary drawings for me this time?”

“ShuT UP WHERE WERE YOU”

Jisung explained that his entertainment agency had randomly sent him out of town to go conduct audition evaluations, totally cracking up at the fact that you thought he died LOL

“WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL MEEEEEE” you whined lol

“Uhh (Y/N) it was sudden and I don’t exactly have your phone number”

Your hands dropped to your sides and you death glared at Jisung, pretty much embarrassed at this whole situation

You wrestled his phone out of his pocket and grabbed his finger to unlock his phone, entering your number in his contacts

Jisung laughed, with that cute eyesmile of his, and this time you couldn’t resist laughing along with him

He hugged you again, earning a blush from you, and started teasing you

“You missed me that much? You should have just told me how you felt, (Y/N), then I could have gotten your number and we wouldn’t have had this problem”

You hugged him back, “Well now you do, so you better tell me where you are from now on”

“It’s okay (Y/N), you don’t have to deny it... I guess I missed you and your coffee too.”

BTS GOBLIN AU - CH3

Prologue // 1 // 2 // 3

                        It was another peaceful morning at the household of a very grumpy, sleep deprived goblin. It was one of those typical Wednesdays, when the atmosphere in the house felt like dead cold winter no matter the weather outside. The landlord, Kim Taehyung was drowning in a pool made out of his students’ assignments. While the other “supposed” renter splitter, Jung Hoseok, worked on cup of hot, life saving coffee.

                         A doorbell rang and successfully awakened the grave-like place. “Hoseok-ah, my hope, open the door please.”, Taehyung said without looking away from the assignment paper he was marking, he knew he won’t have the willpower to mark the last twenty something papers if he stop now. “What were you saying?”, Hoseok asked as he didn’t catch the words. Taehyung repeated his request with the same half-dead tone without looking up as well.

                         Hoseok heard him this time, but instead of answering whoever was outside, he pulled out his phone, a smirk on display. “What was that?”, he asked again, this time with a more playful tone. Taehyung did not need a split second before he knew what that meant. Both of them were more than familiar with the games they play, as childish as it sounds, it was definitely much less innocent than normal child’s play.

                         Taehyung cursed under his breath just as the doorbell rang again. He quickly shouted out his response, “FINE, tomorrow’s dinner, burger king down the street. I’ll pay. Now go open the damn door!” Hoseok beamed happily as the audio file saved in his phone. “I’m coming~”, he dashed to open the door.

                         “May I help you?”, Hoseok asked as the door opened to reveal a man slightly shorter than him. It was usual for students to come and seek help or even just for a casual talk with their professor. Despite the man’s young face, Hoseok somehow knew without asking that he wasn’t one of them. There was this mysterious aura around the man -it might have something to do with the combination of black clothes and pale skin- that piped Hoseok’s curiosity.

                         “I’m interested in renting a room.”, the man replied. In his hand was non other than the brochures Hoseok made, the words “ROOM FOR RENT” bold in red. “Come in then, I might as well show you around the place.”, Hoseok held the door open for the other but a strong grip on his arm made him looked up confusedly at the man. “What’s the problem?”

                         “Actually…“, he loosened his grip on Hoseok and let his hand fall back to his side. “To be honest, I was kicked out because pets ain’t allowed in my apartment, I figured it’s better to ask beforehand than going through all that shit only to get a no later. So… are pets allowed or not?” Hoseok was a bit taken aback, more by the man himself than the actual question. The man’s cold expression was replaced by eyes full of hope, his lips turned up at the corners instead of a thin straight line.

                         “I- Let me ask.”, Hoseok turned around and cleared his throat before shouting “Taehyung-ah!” The black eyed grim reaper jumped a bit, startled by the sudden shout.

                         “Who is it?”, a deep voice shouted back immediately. “You can call me Min.”, the smaller man offered his name just as Hoseok was about to ask. “Is it one of those punks? I told them I’m busy this week, let them go.”, the voice spoke again before Hoseok had the chance to reply. “No, it’s not your students. Mr Min here wants to rent a room but he’s wondering if pets are allowed.”

                         The grim reaper was playing with the collar of his trench coat while he waited for an answer. Hoseok peeked at the small man and had to bite back his laugh. He looks so cute. He barely know him but he already hoped the man can move in so he can get to know him and hopefully get along well with his pet too. He loved animals to bits.

                         A squeak was heard by the duo. Hoseok bursted into laughter, he can literally hear the awe in Tae’s voice. “Come on in~”, Min looked at Hoseok with uncertainty in his eyes but followed him nonetheless, unable to resist the warm, welcoming smile. “Are you sure?”, he sat on the white leather sofa while looking around the place.

                         Hoseok hummed in reply and pulled out a file of documents from somewhere. They worked on the terms and conditions in a comfortable matter. Hoseok did most the talking while the other only nodded and hummed with minimal comments on the contract. Hoseok doesn’t mind the lack of words, even though Min was quiet, he focused on the conversation and not for once his eyes left Hoseok. So Hoseok doesn’t feel like he was talking to himself.

                         Once they are done with the contract Hoseok walked the quiet one around the house. Again, Hoseok did the talking while the other looked around the place in silence, it didn’t took much time until they were at the last room of the house. “And this, is your room, open the door~.” The door opened into a fully furnished room. Everything was black and white except the bright coloured mattress of the bed. Sweet, I can deal with that. Hoseok followed behind him and chucked as the man bounced himself on the bed.

                        “You like the place?”, Hoseok sat on the chair by the table. Min nodded with a small smile, “Do you think I can move in today?” “Why not? You can move in whenever once we sign the contract later, Tae won’t mind much.”, Hoseok went to grab the documents and left Min in the room. The grim reaper grabbed a pillow and cuddled it to his chest.

                        He never expected everything to go so smooth. He was on the hunt for apartments the minute his original landlord screamed at the sleeping ball of fur on the pile of blankets he had set up. He had quite a range of choices as backups but as lucky as him he got it down on the first try. He smiled unconsciously as  he thought about his new pet, so small and fragile, his Holly.

                        Holly-ah, I’ve found you a new home, this will be our home.

                         “Awww, is Holly your dog?”, Hoseok said as he gave Min the papers. A signature was already signed above the name Kim Taehyung. Shit, did I said that out loud?, he looked at Hoseok to see if he was making fun of him but the boy was busy filing the documents. “Yea, Holly is my puppy.”, he signed the paper and handed it back. He found himself wanting to talk to the boy, and later he found himself happily engaged in a conversation that ranged from pets to hobbies, and everything in between.

                         “You like to dance? That’s cool. I don’t really do hobbies though, maybe playing the piano?”, Min talked while lying comfortably on the bed, a pillow propped behind his back. “Fun fact, Tae loves the piano so much he has one in the house even though he can’t play it for life.” “Really? But I didn’t saw it just now?”, he came across piano a really long time ago. It still amazed him until the day that how people can create something so magical with just the press of their fingers. He had fallen in love with music. The fact that he haven’t seen a piano in ages was killing him, and he was dying to play one. “It’s in his room, I’ll show you next time.”,

                         The duo would have talked until the sun was down if it was not for the sudden outburst of an upbeat melody. Hoseok mumbled an apology before picking up his phone without checking the number. “Yo it’s Hoseok, who is this?” “OMG I’M SORRY CHIM I’M COMING RIGHT NOW. WAIT FOR ME.”, he ended the phone call and almost rushed out of the room before remembering Min. He turned back and looked at him with an apologetic smile and said “I’m sorry I’m leaving like this but I’m really late, my friend is gonna kill me, I’ll see you later K?”

                         The grim reaper nodded okay and waved the boy away with a small smile. He suddenly felt a wave of tiredness washed over him. Talking was exhausting, he concluded. He got up from the bed and took the two sets of keys on the table, one old and plain while the other new with a music note keychain. He put them in his pocket and walked out of his room. It’s time to work.

                                                        *****

                         “Hyung, are you sure he’s coming?”, Jungkook asked. On the table were plates of sushi and some other dishes. Jungkook’s plate of rice was already a quarter empty, while Jimin’s noodles still untouched. “At least eat a bit first, you told me you were hungry.”, Jungkook argued for the fifth time, but Jimin just gave Jungkook a smile while saying that he can wait a little bit longer.

                         Jungkook sighed and took another bite of his food without another word. Jimin noticed and looked at Jungkook, “I’m sure he’s coming Kookie, don’t worry-- Owhh, he’s here!”, he stood up quickly and waved at the direction of the entrance. The younger smiled fondly while Jimin tried to get his friend’s attention, who looked like a lost child in the busy shop.

                         Jimin was on his tiptoes and Jungkook felt bad for smiling. Luckily his friend finally spotted him in the crowd and rushed over. “Jiminie~!”, the man tackled Jimin down easily. He smiled brightly as he squeezed Jimin towards the wall, Jimin giggled while pushing back like it was totally normal to be like this out in the public with so many eyes on them.

                         At first Jungkook laughed at the two sunshines, entertained by their act. However, his smile faded as he watched on. He’s too close with Jiminie-hyung, there’s barely any space between them. Jimin’s friend was literally crushing on top of Jimin’s small frame. He knew Jimin was not as weak as he seems but Jungkook just had the urge to walk over and pull the guy away from Jimin. He should have sat beside Jimin-hyung in the first place.

                         He poked his tongue on the inside of his cheek unconsciously and picked up his spoon to take another bite of his rice. He might as well intentionally made a lot of noise as he did so. He was definitely not jealous of Jimin being touchy with his friend, he’s a grown ass man and can do whatever he wants. “Ohh sorry”, Jimin’s friend finally spared Jimin from being tickled to death and gave a hand to pull him back up. “I didn’t know there’s someone else.”, Jimin who was still out of breath from all the tickling was about to introduce the two, but Jungkook spoke first.

                          “Yea, I didn’t know too.”

                          ... Definitely not jealous at all.

                         Jungkook regretted a split second later. Jimin stared at Jungkook wide eyed, smile dropped from his face. Jimin’s friend also froze in his place, his out stretched hand hung awkwardly in mid-air. “I’m just joking hyung, chill. I’m Jeon Jungkook. Nice to meet you.”, Jungkook said quickly with the brightest smile he can manage and shook the friend’s hand.

                         “You scared me to death, Jungkook-ah.”, Jimin said with a frown. “I’m sorry hyungnim, please forgive me hyungnim.”, Jungkook bowed to the two dramatically. Jimin and his friend who was smiling awkwardly a moment ago cracked up in laughter. Jungkook smiled in relieve. “You were right Jimin-ah, he’s cute.”, Jimin’s friend offered Jungkook a smile. “’’m always right.”, Jimin said with a sushi stuffed in his mouth.

                         “Jimin hyung talked about me?”, Jungkook was curious what Jimin talked about him. “Of course he does, he-” “Jungkook-ah, I haven’t introduced my friend to you yet, how bad of me. This is Jung Hoseok, you can call him Hoseok hyung, or Hobi hung like I do.”, Hoseok watched amusedly while Jimin ranted about him. “Nice to meet you Jungkook.”, Hoseok smiled.

                         “You’re the one that gave Jimin your dorm!”, Jungkook shouted in recognition, earning him a few glances from customers around them. Jimin looked embarrassed by the younger while Hoseok only laughed. “Mmhm, I’m actually treating this meal for that.”, Jimin said as he reached over to take a bite of Jungkook’s rice. Jungkook pushed his plate towards Jimin so he can eat more easily. “Eat up,  Hobi hyung. Jimin hyung and I will pay for it.” “Aww, thanks guys.”

                                                        *****

                         “OMG PUPPY~!”                        

                         If you asked Hoseok about Taehyung’s bad habits, “Taehyungie~ Is seriously OBSESSED with cute things. I mean, he even has a corner in his room for the things he found cute. Seriously, he needs to control himself, his collection is getting massive.”, is the answer that you would get from him.

                         Taehyung, with his empty coffee cup on the floor, was playing with the palm sized puppy he newly discovered. Hoseok had informed him about their new housemate before he left to eat with Jimin. He had heard noises from his room but only now that he finished his work he came downstairs. “So you’re the pet Mr Min talked about hmm~ What’s your name cutie?”, Taehyung asked in a soft voice.

                         Footsteps approached him and a low, chill voice replied his question. “He’s Holly.” Taehyung didn’t turn around immediately, instead he patted the puppy a few more times before putting him down and watched as the small creature walked away to explore the place. Mr Min was making himself a cup of coffee while Tae walked up to greet him, “Hello, I’m Kim Taehyung, nice to meet you Mr Min-”, the said person looked up at him and their eyes met.

                         “GRIM REAPER!” “So you’re the infamous Goblin.”, the two of them said/shouted at the same time. Taehyung, who was unable to believe the twist of events, was staring at the grim reaper in disbelief, “Why are you in ma house!?”, Taehyung whined. Hoseok promised a nice looking, quiet, well mannered man, a human. He knew he’s lovable friend had nothing to blame. But. He just can’t help but wondered about his luck. “Shh, shouting at your guests ain’t nice.”, the other picked up a jar of coffee beans and gestured at Taehyung’s cup on the floor, “You want coffee?”

                         “NO!”

                         “Your loss.”, the small man shrugged. He took his cup of steaming coffee and walked past the Goblin to sit down at the sofa. He looked as if he had been living at the place for years, while Taehyung, who stood in the middle of the hall with wide eyes and dropped jaw, looked like the lost visitor.

                         “Don’t look at me like that, here’s my contract if you ain’t convinced.”, he held the piece of paper up for the other to see. Taehyung raised his hand and hold it like a handgun, “Pang~”, he said cutely as the paper was swallowed up by flames. “Now it’s gone, and I suggest you to do the same.”

                         “That’s my copy, the original one’s with Hoseok.”, the ‘supposed’ nice looking, quiet, well manned man shrugged. Taehyung threw himself at the sofa that was opposite Min while mumbling “First day and already on the first name basis.” The other didn’t heard him “Also, I prefer if you call my name, Tae.”, he said his name in a mocking tone, Taehyung hissed, “I thought grim reapers are poor bastards that suffered memory loss.” 

                         “I’m a smart ass that got my name from my drunk boss.”

                         “You’re just lucky, I bet you don’t even get the full name, Min.”

                         The grim reaper ignored the fact that he was just being called out by a nearly complete stranger and drank his coffee. His attention fell on his pet dog as it run towards him. “Holly-ah~~”, he put down his cup to pick up Holly. The brown haired puppy wagged his tail left and right as Min ran his hand across his soft fur. The goblin stared at the dog and it’s owner for a while before saying “Fine, you two can stay.”

                           He saw the smirk on the other’s face so he quickly added, “It’s only because of Holly so thank him.”

                           Taehyung closed his bedroom door behind him and his eyes fell on the corner where his collection were placed neatly on a white shelf. He is a collector of cute things, and he does not mind adding two more to his home.

Appearing before The Dramacourt: Just Between Lovers Eps 9 and 10

Issues:

Whether Kang Doo trying to leave for Moon Soo’s sake makes sense.

Whether its awesome that Moon Soo stands up for herself about who she likes.

Whether family is really something that you can build.

Whether the characters need to experience Grandma’s loss.

Whether it’s true that the healing process itself is painful.

Absolutely. She doesn’t let anybody tell her how to feel which is badass.

Analysis:

RedRosette J: First of all these episodes were an assault on my feelings. Just when I thought they wouldn’t they dumped a whole bunch of feels on me. If you thought this week was emotional, next week (if the preview is any indication) is going to take us through even more of an emotional roller coaster. But if you can survive an hour of angst and tears, these episodes are worth the watch!

I’m glad that they spent a lot less time on the architecture/construction problems this week and focused more on character development. Moon Soo came to terms with her feelings for Kang Doo and Kang Doo got a well needed reality-check from Grandma. CEO Boss also got shut down by Moon Soo and Kang Han Na’s character became a character that actually pushed our leads together instead of creating unnecessary conflict. My only criticism (of sorts) is that I wish that Moon Soo didn’t have to hear about Kang Doo being injured in the Mall collapse from Kang Han Na’s character. I just feel like there would have been a greater impact had she heard it from someone closer to Kang Doo or Kang Doo himself. But in the grand scheme of things, it’s not really like its a huge detriment to the plot so whatever I’ll let it slide.

The biggest plot point addressed in these episodes was Grandma’s illness. It had to come sooner rather than later and, as sad as it is, I’m glad they decided to address it at this point because it gives the characters some time to process her death before the drama ends.

I also liked that we saw another side to Noona. She seemed like a regular person in her sweater dress and sneakers and not quite as intimidating as we have seen her so far (and I think the Director became a total goner once he saw her feeding the kitties. Poor guy). I love love love that the drama doesn’t typecast people. Sure, she a beautiful woman who runs a sketchy bar or whatever but that’s just her job. The writers don’t let that define her and shows us that she’s a well rounded person with an actual life aside from her work. As I have mentioned in previous posts, there is no judgment in these characters’ lives and jobs because its normal. It’s life. Some people do ‘questionable’ jobs  and their jobs don’t define them. I love that about this drama.

Issue 1: Whether Kang Doo trying to leave for Moon Soo’s sake makes sense.

RedRosette J: Logically, it makes sense when I think about Kang Doo’s state of mind. However, as a viewer who is now emotionally invested in the outcome of the characters’ relationship, it seems pointless. First of all, logically, Kang Doo has self-esteem issues and has very low self worth which explains why he feels like he needs to leave for Moon Soo’s sake. As a rational viewer, it makes little sense. I get that. But from his point of view, he seems to genuinely believe that him leaving her is going to be better for her. I think it might also have to do with the fact that he seems to think that the CEO Boss guy is a real contender in the race for Moon Soo’s heart. This is silly because anyone with eyes can see that Moon Soo doesn’t give a crap about the CEO. It’s his lack of self worth that pits him against the CEO with the impressive resume. I liked that Kang Doo admitted to Kang Han Na’s character that he’s afraid he’s going to lose Moon Soo to the CEO but he’s still going to run away because that’s what he thinks is best for her. It really took Grandma yelling at him in episode 10 for him to realize that there’s nothing wrong with him and that it’s Moon Soo who gets to decide whether she wants to “ruin” (so to speak) her life by staying with him. He doesn’t get to make that decision for her.

As a viewer, it frustrates me that Kang Doo can’t see himself the way that us viewers, Moon Soo, Noona and Grandma see him; as a genuinely caring and loving guy with the best heart, so it sort of feels like it’s pointless angst meant to drive a wedge between the characters. But he needs to get past this point of seeing himself as worthless so that as he moves forward in his relationship with Moon Soo he feels deserving of her love. Also, it just about killed me at the end of episode 9 when he still got on the boat while she yelled out to him. To make matters worse, I think it just about killed him to do it too. I absolutely loved that this drama showed us that his struggle to leave her was very real and that he was doing it even though every fiber of his being was telling him not to.

Issue 2: Whether its awesome that Moon Soo stands up for herself about who she likes.

RedRosette J: The thing that I like about Moon Soo is that she’s not a doormat (although initially it kind of comes across like she is). She has this quiet strength about her and she doesn’t let anyone tell her what to do (Kang Doo included). I find that this is a rare phenomenon with Kdrama heroines. When Kang Doo insists on leaving her and asks her to go to the CEO, she makes sure that he knows exactly how she feels. She says to him that she’s going to do what she wants and that he can’t tell her how to feel. I love that she voices how she feels because in reality that’s what a real woman is like. I also really like that this drama doesn’t try to hide her awareness of Kang Doo. She’s aware that Kang Doo likes her just as she’s aware that the CEO does. I appreciate that the drama doesn’t try to show that she’s a dumb Candy who has zero inkling that the male lead is in love with her. This is especially true in the snippets where she notices Kang Doo sneaking glances at her or him accidentally overhearing conversations that she has with someone else. She also brings it up with him which is super realistic. I think this is awesome and that more Kdrama females need to do this. I’m sick of seeing these passive females who go around as if they are totally oblivious and unaware of men. Honestly how unrealistic is that?

Issue 3: Whether family is really something that you can build.

RedRosette J: I love the idea that family is something that can be built and not only something that you are born into. At the end of episode 10, we see the beautiful friendships and family that Kang Doo has built after having lost his parents. Grandma, Noona, Sang Man, and even Moon Soo and her friends have become a part of Kang Doo’s circle and are now reliant on each other just as a family is. It really shows that family is built on trust and acceptance and I really liked how this drama portrayed it.

  Issue 4: Whether the characters need to experience Grandma’s loss.

RedRosette J: I will be the first person to say that I don’t want Grandma to die. She’s my favourite character. But, that being said, she has to die for the benefit of the other characters (that sounds mean but you guys get my drift). These characters have all experienced loss in such a sudden and shocking way that they need to understand that loss is not always something that happens like that and that sometimes you actually get to say goodbye properly and eventually come to terms with loss through a proper grieving process. Arguably, Kang Doo and Moon Soo are still grieving the losses of Dad and Sister respectively but that is likely because of how sudden and shocking the loss was. While Grandma’s loss will inevitably bring a lot of grief to Kang Doo and Moon Soo, they need to experience this so that they can grieve properly because they couldn’t properly grieve the loss of their family in the accident. This is why I agree with what Moon Soo said to Kang Doo’s sister that she has to tell him about Grandma’s illness sooner rather than later. He needs to know while it’s still not going to be sudden so that he can be prepared (as much as one can in this cases) for Grandma to leave.

Issue 5: Whether it’s true that the healing process itself is painful.

RedRosette J: Another thing I love about this drama are the little sound bites of life lessons that we get. Small things like this really resonate with viewers. This week, I really liked when Kang Doo talked about how the healing process itself was a painful one. I totally agree with this. The hardest part about an injury is recovery. Whether its a physical or emotional injury, its the recovery that’s tough. For the person who makes it to the other side in one piece having endured the pain, they become a stronger person for it. It’s real character development. These characters are still in the process of healing which is why they are hurting so much. Once we get to the end of the drama, we’ll hopefully see the characters towards the end of their journey of healing and over the more painful parts, and having become stronger people for it.
