but also, now i'm in this vein i kind of have to say it. yes tesla has done bad stuff!! yes there are Problems!! but if we just talk about it like 'yeah electric cars are like that' which happens. which is what a lot of the media is doing (watch out) then it starts to look like the fear monegering over other, slightly less bad environmentally solutions such as solar panels, wind and hydro. and who wins? the fossil fuels industry!! like. we know elon has lot touch with reality but
-nissan leaf is a really affordable electric car that's average quality but will get you driving your kids to daycare and buying groceries and is a great choice if you live a lifestyle that public or active transport doesn't yet cater to, and are able to spend a bit at the outset in order to save costs on fuel down the line
-renault zoe is a super convenient city car that has fabric seats for the vegans among us! it's got better specs than the nissan leaf and while it doesn't have ai braking (why is this the standard) if you drive it like a normal car it's super safe and good and also tough because it's french. renault also have a bunch more EVs in bigger sizes as well as hybrids
-tembo is a company retrofitting commercial vehicles and utes and stuff with electric motors!! they're lowering the environmental impacts and health problems associated with things like mining because their vehicles are now 100% electric and don't pollute. this also saves fuel costs especially as it would otherwise have to be delivered to rural locations! all it needs is a shell of another vehicle and they just. put in a reliable electric motor!
-i forget the name of them but someone came up with an electric car that has multiple times the range of a tesla or a leaf or a zoe due to battery technology!! it's still really expensive but. you could do entire road trips on one charge, and this means that you've got more leeway to make sure it's only charged on solar if you own or co-own one!
-bmw, volvo and a bunch of other companies have released their first EVs and they're really good! much better than a tesla. just regular cars but electric!! i don't think toyota has yet but they're got heaps of excellent hybrid vehicles. also, electric buses are now a thing and are taking over cities in australia (i don't know about anywhere else) meaning we're minimising the environmental impact of public transport and soon, we'll have the best of both worlds!
does anyone remember the 2010s when like. teslas were the Good Car. no one else had EVs out yet and you saw a tesla and knew it was a rich hippie with solar panels powering their off-grid passive design urban mansion housing 12 rescue cats and an anaconda. while we're all driving around in our carbon-farting gas guzzling at least fuel efficient old toyotas. you saw a tesla driver and were like 'if i work hard and pool money with my friends we might be able to own one tesla all together in 10 years time'
now it is 10 years time and teslas are killing motorcyclists and drowning drivers and it's like. i'll take my push bike and BRT rides and a share in a renault zoe but can we just. please get rid of those things

Prices of leg lengthening surgery vary depending on doctors, methods that are used in this surgery and accommodation after surgery, physical therapy, quality of the services, etc. Analyzing well all of these by people who want to have surgery is quite important to make a healthy decision.
How many cosmetic limb lengthening surgery has the doctor performed up to date?
Which limb lengthening surgical methods do they apply?
How many centimeters of lengthening do they recommend for Femur and Tibia?
Do their patients need any kind of preparation before leg lengthening surgery?
Are accommodation fees included in the total price (for international patients)?
Are there any medical conditions which may prevent a potential patient from being accepted for surgery?
Have they ever had any patients with complications?
Are the costs of corrective treatments and/or operations for any possible complications included in total price?
Is there any preliminary height requirements for cosmetic limb lengthening operations?
How much does the surgery cost and which services are included?
Even though, there are numerous doctors who are very successful in performing Leg Lengthening surgical procedures in Russia, India & Pakistan; but unfortunately; they are riddled with a significant number of negative reviews, especially for the above-listed countries. Generally, the complaints relating to the efficacy of the doctors, or the hygiene of the facilities and the overall quality of service at the hospitals. Generally, medical practitioners or doctors, who tend to entice patients with economical bargains or lowest prices attractions; once the surgery is completed and payments are made, tend to neglect patients during their postoperative stages; a time which is quintessential for any leg lengthening surgery.
However, it must be said Turkey offers a very balanced option for those who are seriously considering such a limb lengthening surgical procedure; with the price and cost relative to those in Eastern Europe and with the facilities and doctors comparable in quality to those practicing in Western countries such as Germany, UK, France & the USA; it offers the best of both worlds. As per our medical excellence commitment and quality of medical service, it is noteworthy to mention that, currently, Turkey has the highest number of JCI-licensed medical institutions and hospitals in the world.

EauMG’s July 2018 Empties
July was a very busy month for us. We moved (and most of my perfumes are still in boxes) and then immediately went to visit in-laws in Ohio for a week. It’s August and I still don’t have furniture. Fun!
Because I’ve recently been confronted with everything that I own, I have tried to take it easy on the purchases. My goal is to get through the stuff that I already own (and like) before buying more. That’s always easier said than done. An outlet mall outside of Cincinnati had great deals on YSL makeup, so I bought a few tubes of lipstick at a ridiculously low price. When I traveled, I ran out of lotion so I ended up buying a Moringa one from The Body Shop. And finally, I bought the BH Cosmetics Zodiac palette despite not needing another palette. A friend had it and it’s so gorgeous that I couldn’t resist.
Here’s what I emptied in July:
SKINCARE
I didn’t empty too much skincare because I started full-size bottles.
The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% – This is the Vitamin C I prefer from The Ordinary because it’s cheap, doesn’t irritate my face and the formula isn’t gritty/gross. It brightens my complexion and fades post-acne marks.
Repurchase? Yes. And I’m tempted to try some of their more expensive Vitamin C in liquid form.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60 – This stuff gets high reviews from Consumer Reports because it works. But, gosh, it is not my daily driver because it leaves such an awful white cast even when you are being careful. It also dries my skin out. But, it works! Review here.
Repurchase? Despite its flaws, I will. It’s my beach/desert sunscreen.
Innisfree Nourishing Mist with Canola Honey – I love the floral-y honey scent of this line and tbh, that’s the reason I bought the spray. I like the dewy finish the spray leaves. It’s a little sticky but that’s a look I’m going for.
Repurchase? Probably. I can’t stay out of Innisfree.
Henné Organics Rose Diamond Lip Exfoilator * – It’s basically cocoa butter, sugar and smells like rose bonbons. Review.
Purchase? I love it but I have found that I have been using physical lip scrubs a lot less these days.
Valmont Hydra3 Regenetic Cream (travel size/mini) – This is a lightweight gel that is like a Gatorade for dehydrated skin. It feels weightless; yet, it leaves skin looking plump and hydrated.
Purchase?
Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask (mini) – This smells like cucumbers and has flakes of seaweed in it. It’s a nice mask for skin that’s like “wth am I supposed to do with this dry, rough but also cystic acne skin?”. It doesn’t do much for me but it does leave my skin feeling nice and like I tried to fix my problems.
Purchase? No because of cost and because I like other masks from the brand better.
Valmont Prime Lip Repair (deluxe sample) – No clue what this is actually for or what it does that an eye cream with a lip balm couldn’t do. But, I like it. It does smooth the area and make applying lipstick easier the next day.
Purchase? No. It’s a non-essential product.
Valmont Prime Renewing Pack (deluxe sample) – My absolute favorite wash-off mask.
Purchase? I will one of these days that I run out of samples.
Skinfood Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Emulsion – I don’t even remember using this.
Purchase? Yawn. What? Oh, no.
The Sheet Masks:
TonyMoly I’m Real Red Wine – Tonymoly masks are so basic but out of their “I’m Real” line, the Red Wine one is one that I like. It’s fresh, cooling and smells like tart pomegranate.
Repurchase? Maybe if it is a good deal.
3W Clinic Fresh Green Tea – These are super cheap and usually decent (for like 50 cents) but the cut/fit of this one was comically bad for me.
Repurchase? No.
Leaders Amino AC-Free Mask – Leaders is my favorite brand of masks and this is one of my favorite varieties. It’s for oily skin and actually has exfoliating ingredients.
Repurchase? I still have a huge box of these left.
Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels – My allergies have been awful. I used this one morning when my eyes were puffy and felt so bad. These really felt great! It took down some of my puffiness too.
Purchase? I’m really tempted…because I always have allergies.
FRAGRANCE
If you look at my Instagram Stories, you’ll see that I mostly wore Chanel Venise in July. I put a dent in it but didn’t empty much else. My perfumes were packed up, etc.
Malie Organics Linen & Room Spray in Plumeria – It’s a humid, slightly fruity plumeria soliflore. It smells like the real-deal, almost like gardenias meet fresh grapes.
Repurchase? Maybe.
Samples I’d purchase or at least consider:
Montale Sweet Peony – Review. Well, I’ve been wearing a lot of different perfumes for a long time and my spouse did say this one was “wow, sexy”, so there’s that.
Diptyque Oyédo – Review. I’ve been obsessed with this stuff in July.
Samples I wouldn’t purchase:
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino – Review. tbh I remember liking this a lot more than I did this time. This sample smelled really synthetic and was heavy on the white musk. Reformulated? Most definitely.
Mugler Les Exceptions Hot Cologne – Review. I wore this during it a thunderstorm and the coffee note was much more present.
Ramon Monegal Impossible Iris * – Review
BATH/BODY
If there was a theme in this section, it was “summer gourmands.
Korres Vanilla Guava Shower Gel – I forgot how much I love Korres body products. This smells just like vanilla extract – rich, sweet and boozy with a twist. It does have a faint undertone of overripe guava.
Repurchase? Yes. It’s one of the few gourmand shower gels that I can tolerate. It’s oddly sophisticated for what it is.
Malie Organics Coconut Vanilla Body Cream – It’s a sweet, toasted coconut gourmand. Don’t let the packaging fool you. This really is a thick body cream so a little goes far. I thought I liked the pump until I got to the end. There’s still some in there that I can’t get out 🙁
Repurchase? No.
Sally’s Box Friendly Cherry Blossom Hand Mask – These plastic cow udder looking gloves filled with essence are so weird but they do make me sit down and marinate my dry hands and cuticles. This one smells like cucumbers and cherry blossoms. It did a great job of making my hands look less corpse-y.
Repurchase? Maybe if I see it around.
Sabon Passion Fruit Carambola Bar Soap (not pictured) – Honestly, I could barely smell this. I could tell that it was probably fruity.
Repurchase? No.
Kneipp Body Wash in Soft Skin Almond Blossom (sample) – I was disappointed that this didn’t smell as funky as the bath oil. It’s still nice though.
Purchase? No. I like others from the brand better.
Bliss Grapefruit & Aloe Body Butter (sample) – Has a grapefruit meets licorice smell. Leaves a nice moisturized sheen but then I realized that’s just coconut oil so it’s probably never going to “penetrate” my skin.
Purchase? Mixed feelings. I liked the sheen and the smell but unsure about moisture levels with just this sample.
HAIR
For me, this is a lot of hair empties and I feel really proud of myself, lol.
Pantene Expert Collection Age-Defy Conditioner – This stuff really does smooth my hair and make it less frizzy and more shiny. I know it’s prone to build-up but dang, sometimes that is what my hair needs so that it will stay put.
Repurchase? I would if I could find it. I think it’s been discontinued.
Roux Anti-Aging Color Protect Shampoo * – It’s a decent shampoo with a strong “soapy” aroma. It worked well with the Pantene above.
Purchase? Nah.
ion Color Defense Detangling Shine Mist – A duo-phase product that does exactly what it says it will -detangle and shine. My hair loves this stuff, makes it a lot more manageable and sleek looking.
Repurchase? Yes.
The Original Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo (huge size) – I absolutely despise this stuff to its core. I bought it because an aunt had used it on us as a kids. But, omg as an adult it literally breaks my hair and makes it fall out like I’ve never seen before. I lost so much hair using this. So, I demoted it to brush cleanser. It sucks at that too. It doesn’t clean and it even made my brushes shed like crazy. WTF?
Repurchase? NO! I can’t believe I have a huge bottle of it too.
Gloss Moderne Clean Luxury Masque (sample, 1 packet) – Smells tropical like cocoa butter and coconut. Does a good job of moisturizing and makes the hair feel soft. Is it HG? No, but it is good.
Purchase? I like it but it is very expensive so that’s probably a no.
Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner (samples) – Very <meh> and has a strong soap-y unpure fragrance.
Purchase? Nope.
Marajó Nourishing Cleansing Cream & Deep Treatment Butter (samples) – Really liked how both of these worked but need to try in a environment that doesn’t have sulfur well water!
Purchase? Will try again with the water that I have at home.
Wella EIMI Perfect Me Lightweight Beauty Balm Lotion (sample) – It’s true that it is lightweight. My hair needed more moisture or to use this with something else.
Purchase? No.
MAKEUP
I didn’t do too bad with makeup in July either. I think this was because I didn’t have all my options out and stuck to a few things.
Essence Colour Correcting Stick in Peach – It does a good job of disguising dark spots. I like the convenience of the stick. There’s a faint orange aroma. Only thing I didn’t like was that the cap broke and I worried it would make a mess in my makeup bag.
Repurchase? Maybe. I like it and it’s cheap but right now I’m trying to use something up from MAC.
Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Tinted Primer – I am so surprised to see negative reviews of this! I had great results and no flaky or irritation. It’s black so you can wear it alone for a very natural look or layer it under stuff for more drama.
Repurchase? Yes.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara (travel size) – This stuff provided very dramatic length for me. Paired with the primer, I could get volume. No issues with this either.
Purchase? Probably not but I liked it. I’m just super cheap with mascara.
Benefit The POREfessional Face Primer (mini) – I’m not one to use primers because I think they are pointless. However, this one does exactly what it claims to do. Pores are temporarily less visible and the skin is more matte.
Purchase? No but that’s because I don’t need something like this.
Total: 40. 19 full-size. 6 deluxe samples/travel. 14 samples.
I really didn’t think I’d empty this much in July. I really don’t remember emptying this much, but then again, I don’t remember much from July! It was a blur.
What about you? Which products did you empty in July? Did you buy anything new?
Disclaimer – If there is a /*/ next to an item, it was provided by PR/the brand. All other items were purchased by me or are samples/gifts with purchase/subscription box products.

Hydrogen could conquer the world by 2050
Hydrogen, spearheading the energy revolution
One year after the Paris Climate Agreement took effect, the Hydrogen Council – of which ENGIE is a founding member – has revealed the decisive role that hydrogen can play in the emergence of a more sustainable world.
According to a study entitled Hydrogen, Scaling Up*, produced by McKinsey consultants for the Hydrogen Council, hydrogen could reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 6 gigatonnes, compared to current levels. This would mean a contribution of 20% to maintaining global warming at below 2° C compared to the pre-industrial era. This ambition comes at a cost of between $20 billion and $25 billion per year, or a total of around $280 billion by 2030. By way of comparison, $1.7 trillion is already being invested annually in the energy sector, which included $650 billion in the oil and gas sector and €300 billion in the production of renewable electricity.
But the “rise of hydrogen” also constitutes an economic opportunity, because it will generate revenues of $2.5 trillion and more than 30 million jobs by 2050.
Backed up by ecological and economic arguments, hydrogen seems to offer a genuine future solution. Or rather solutions, in the plural, because there are multiple field of application!
ENGIE, producer of renewable hydrogen
ENGIE is taking action to accelerate the development of this highly promising sector.
In industry, the EffiH2 offer developed by ENGIE Cofely enables the production of “green” hydrogen (resulting from renewable energies) produced by the electrolysis of water and manufactured directly on-site (instead of being transported). The benefits are reduced transportation costs and a significantly lower environmental footprint.
In the field of transport, the first première hydrogen-powered bus line in France, run by a consortium consisting of ENGIE subsidiary GNVERT and Van Hool, will come into operation in the city of Pau in September 2019. The principle is simple: green hydrogen is transformed into electricity by fuel cells, thereby becoming a “zero emission” fuel because it only emits water vapor. It also allows greater range (up to 500 kilometers) compared to battery-powered electric vehicles, and reduces charging time to just a few minutes. According to the Hydrogen Council, 10 to 15 million cars and 500,000 trucks could be hydrogen-fueled by 2030.
One of the great strengths of hydrogen is its storage capacity. If renewable energy is produced in too large quantities, it can be transformed into hydrogen and be stored and reused at any time, in the form of gas or electricity. The “power-to-gas” process means that hydrogen introduces genuine flexibility into the energy system. In France, ENGIE is one of the pioneers in this area, through two large-scale experimental projects: the Jupiter 1000 demonstrator and the GRHYD project in Dunkirk.
ENGIE is in no doubt as to the major role that hydrogen is going to play in the energy transition, and recently created a new entity totally dedicated to renewable hydrogen.

Limb lengthening surgery options worldwide: USA, Europe, Asia and more
Tumblr media
he choice of country for undergoing a serious procedure such as limb lengthening is a tough one, without any doubt. Almost all people who wish to become taller have at least once dreamt about limb lengthening surgery in the USA. Two names, Dr. Paley and Dr. Rozbruch, immediately come to the mind of many of us. These names have become the gold standard in the industry for a good reason: each of these doctors have pioneered some of the widely known limb lengthening surgery methods, and they have also performed a large number of leg lengthening operations up till now.
Tumblr media
The level of healthcare in the USA is quite high. Unfortunately, so are the prices: limb lengthening surgery costs are around 100-120,000 USD range in the centers of one of these surgeons. But honestly, are all of us (at least half of us) ready to invest an amount, equal to the price of a really nice car (or a house in most countries) in a surgery which is quite traumatic and gives around 6-8 cm (approx. 3 inches) height increase in return? Of course there are people who wouldn’t even think twice, if they had the money.
We want to compare some of the countries and regions where limb lengthening surgery is widely performed, in regards to their quality, prices, offered services, and generalized patient reviews. We hope that this article will provide an insight into options, for people who cannot afford 6-digit amounts but still strive for height increase surgery.
Europe
France, Germany, UK etc.
In so called “developed countries”, there are well-known limb lengthening surgeons, some of whom have contributed to leg lengthening industry by developing their own limb lengthening surgery methods. For example, France has Dr. Guichet, who performs operations with self-developed Guichet nail. In Germany, Dr. Betz widely uses Betzbone nail, which is a competitor device to even more widely known Precice nails.
Tumblr media
Healthcare system in these countries are good enough and comparable to those in USA. However, although prices are lower than USA, limb lengthening surgery costs in developed European countries are still unaffordable for the majority of limb lengthening patient candidates.
There are a few institutions that perform limb lengthening and reconstruction in the UK, however they perform leg lengthening only for medical reasons, such as leg length discrepancy. Cosmetic limb lengthening is not performed in this country. This is one of the reasons why we have a big number of requests for height increase surgery from UK.
Serbia, Greece, Spain, Italy etc.
Surgeons such as Dr. Mitkovic from Serbia are one of the well known names of Eastern Europe in the field of leg lengthening surgery. The prices are also much cheaper than most other European countries.  In Greece, the main name is Dr. Giotikas, who is known to successfully perform internal methods such as Precice 2 and Stryde. Spain has doctors such as Dr. Monegal. In Italy, Dr. Catagni and Dr. Pili are known to perform limb lengthening.
Russia, India
These two countries offer some of the cheapest limb lengthening services in the world. Russia (or USSR to be more precise) was the first country where limb lengthening for height increase was performed. Ilizarov method was the first widely used method, and has been the main (almost only) choice of Russian limb lengthening surgeons. This method is the cheapest one, which dictates the price in Russia. There is an orthopedic center in Kurgan city of Russia. The prices are quite low, which makes it attractive for most patients. However, according to patient reviews on the Internet, the facilities for post-surgery period and the quality of hospitals are insufficient. Also, in modern days, Ilizarov method is an outdated technique at least for cosmetic limb lengthening, and there are more modern and refined methods that fully replace and eliminate the need for big and unreliable Ilizarov frames.
Tumblr media
In India, both modern and traditional methods are being performed. India is probably the cheapest option to undergo leg lengthening surgery. It should be noted that there are mixed reviews about Indian limb lengthening doctors in general. There are really good doctors who have good academic and practical background, really care about the patient and have all necessary equipment. At the same it can be a hit or miss with a number of doctors in India. Some so called surgeons provide so cheap prices that it immediately grabs the attention of patient candidates, which ends up in a catastrophe. Infection is a serious threat in limb lengthening, and most of the hospitals where these cheap surgeries are performed may suffer from poor hygiene.
China, Australia, UK, Canada
These are countries where cosmetic limb lengthening surgery is either banned by authorities, or not performed by doctors. For example, Chinese government has officially forbidden performing limb lengthening for reasons other than medical. This is due to many scammers and unskillful surgeons trying themselves in the “market”, because this surgery is just another very profitable business in their eyes. There have been a number of serious limb lengthening surgery complications in China, and it was the final droplet.
In countries such as Canada, the healthcare system has its own quirks that makes undergoing a surgery like limb lengthening impossible. This is one of the reason why we receive a significant portion of our patients from countries such as UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Turkey
Being located in an important geographic and economic position, Turkey has developed in many areas, including healthcare and tourism. Turkey is one of the reputable countries in regards to cosmetic procedures, such as hair transplantation, dental implants etc. There are a lot of options for every kind of budget. The same thing is valid for limb lengthening surgery. There are surgeons with academic background who have had training in USA or European countries. The hospitals where limb lengthening operations are performed are hygienic and high quality, with all necessary equipment and respectable worldwide certification such as JCI. These modern and developed facilities are mainly in Istanbul, the largest city of Turkey.
Tumblr media
It is highly important to pay attention to the choice of surgeon. We recommend trying to have an online consultation with the doctor you are considering. We can arrange a video appointment with limb lengthening surgeons in Turkey. You are welcome to pay us a visit and see hospitals and doctors with your own eyes, and also have a really good time in the magnificient city of Istanbul with your personal companion speaking your language.
Those who are planning to get leg lengthening surgery done should keep in mind that post-operation period is equally important as the surgery itself. Once the surgery is performed, it does not mean everything is finished. The most critical part is distraction and recovery (bone consolidation) period, which takes months. You should have everything planned: accommodation, physiotherapy, transportation, doctor check-ups and regular x-rays etc. Istanbul has a lot to offer in this sense. Our team has been in limb lengthening field for long enough to have good relationships with a good number of hotels, physiotherapists, x-ray imaging centers and many other service providers. Wannabetaller is able to provide best possible services in Istanbul for you without wasting your time and money.
