I once had a dream about Freddy’s backstory

A couple of years ago now, I had a dream that took place when Freddy was the Springwood Slasher. Initially I saw snippets of him with his wife Loretta and daughter Katherine. They looked like an average family. Then the news broke that there was someone targeting kids in the town.

The part I can remember the most, was after Freddy’s trial, I saw him go down the stairs into this dank boiler room, heading towards a table that looked like a “workshop”. There were tools and remnants of the gloves he built everywhere. There was a black phone on the wall above it, it rang.

Freddy answered the phone, it was Loretta; she said to him that she was taking Katherine and leaving him, because she no longer felt safe around him. He pleaded with her not to leave, but she made up her mind, and abruptly hung up on him. Defeated he slumped to the floor, and just wept. It was a visceral experience seeing him in a state like that. I woke up after that. It was one of the most emotionally intense dreams I’ve ever experienced.

I had to take a moment to process all that happened. When I saw him slump to the floor I felt sorrow, it was like I felt what he felt, and it lingered after I woke up. I thought maybe I just dreamt something I saw in a movie, or a random scene I watched somewhere, but the weird thing is that I’ve never seen anything like that in any elm street film, or any content with that sequence of events. Most scenes showing his backstory didn’t look anything like that, or had the same emotional impact. Even stranger is that after I had the dream I watched a fan film that had an eerily similar sequence of events, additionally it had the same emotional weight. It wasn’t exact, but it was similar enough it freaked me out a bit. I’ve never experienced anything like that before.

today i approached my spanish teacher about an assignment (we had to talk about a celebration we do in december). and i ask my full question and she doesnt hear it so i repeat "i don't celebrate anything in december" in spanish and i cannot get over how she looked at me for a second and said "it's okay you don't need to celebrate anything in december"
