I dont know how you're functioning right now. I couldn't move for hours after finishing the series, and then it was all I could talk about to my poor mother.

I was screaming the whole way through that epilogue. Even without the emotional toll it was taking, all of my theories were being proven right.

Many sympathies though for just finishing. No book will ever be the same again. Unsolicited advice: read a shit book next. You will not be able to do a good book the justice it deserves

i also don’t know how i’m functioning. for the past few hours i’ve just been sitting like this:

everything about that book was just SO. i think the series in general reminded me of harrow the ninth because at first it was a bit convoluted (esp in book 2 and getting a bunch of flashbacks) but at the end it all came together perfectly and in the most insane way possible.

you’re so right about all your theories getting confirmed in the epilogue. the SECOND Caden entered the time stream i wanted to scream because i knew what he was gonna do and it was sooooo satisfying. i will say though. the scene where he talked to Ell. when she told him “if you died, i would grieve for the rest of my life” after reading an entire series where he grieved her death for literally the rest of his life. i think that broke something in me tbh.

i could talk about Caeden for hours but aside from him i’m SO happy that Wirr, Asha, and Davian are okay. i loved all of them so much. i think i would kill somebody to learn what Dezia and Aelric did during that book, and what happened with Cyr, but hasn’t the author already said he’d eventually write a book about that? i might be making that up but i think i heard that somewhere.

yeah i have. SO many thoughts. im never gonna stop thinking about this series. everyone i know is gonna hear about it.
