Leo started behaving weirdly after he saw his future with the honor student and everyone noticed.

He is having a hard time accepting that the student he almost got killed and someone he sees as an NPC to his life managed to get him whipped enough for him to marry them

I honestly was between this or him being awkward while getting them ready for a paid sponsor but couldn't decide which would be better...

There are many uncertainties in life, will your curse be cured? What is Hyde hiding under there? Where did all the staff cats come from? But now there is a new question, Why is Leo acting so weird?

Ever since last Monday he has been behaving unlike himself! Side eyeing you whenever he thought you weren't watching and huffing whenever you told him anything. What puzzles you even more is when you tell Sho about it and he just raises his eyebrows, acting but clearly not surprised.

“Uh Huh? Really? I don't believe you” his steel blue eyes focused on the quick swiped of the knife against the carrots, Sho's voice couldn't be faker.

“I’m asking seriously! Leo has been quite awkward with me lately, is it because I helped you drag him out?”

Sho lets out a knowing laugh but doesn't let you in on any insider knowledge. The night after their sneak out while bathing together Leo told him some things.

“Can you believe that stupid birdpond said I would marry the NPC?” dipping under the water until his collarbone was covered he mutters strings of words that Sho vaguely strings into something like ‘it must have been that darkwick rotted my brain, settling down with them’ and some bitter babbles into the bubbles.

“For real? With the honor student?!” Howling laughter rolls from the deepest part of his chest and he has to grab the side of the bathtub while he catches his breath to not slip “anything else interesting?”

“You recorded up getting laid, disgusting pervert” Leo jokes as he pours some Epsom salt in while relishing on the disgusted gags Sho makes.

If Leo wouldn't have sounded half as playful as he did and Sho actually took him seriously, he would have figured the dilemma Leo was facing, what would have even attracted him to that NPC? They aren't the prettiest person they have seen ever, not even in Darkwick, Romeo and Jin would take that place. Their jokes don't always fall funny with him or their responses, witty. So what was it?

But after knowing his friend for as long as he did and the little chat inside the bathroom he manages to infer it's something to do with the future shown to him.

Without turning back to you he just sighs “sometimes he has those times where he acts weird, in a week he should be as usual… speaking of the devil”

And as in cue Leo slams the kitchen door open, his eyes looking down at his phone. Without even one word he links your elbows and pulls you from the table you were sitting on to the door on the opposing wall.

“Hey! Hey! Where are you dragging me?!”

“I sent you a message. I need you to boost my stigma. Now” and without giving you one moment to question back or argue he was already out of the kitchen and reaching the back door leading to the junkyard with you in tow.

And as usual when he calls you, he plops down on the leather couch throwing you down with him “Don't stand so far away, I can barely touch your hand” his voice whines as he drapes his right arm over your shoulders, pulling you towards his chest and ducking your head under his own.

“What are-”

“Hush, I can't hear with you babbling”

Maybe because of the way his left hand holding yours tightly or the bashfulness pooling under your stomach at the compromising position and the looks some students threw at you, you didn't notice how he didn't say ‘haxs’ to start using his stigma.

After a few minutes of ‘cuddling’ he pulls away and walks off to his room, seemingly deep in thought as he usually does when eavesdropping, so you pay him no mind and return to Sho, hoping he would give you a taste of tomorrow’s food truck menu.

Inside Leo's head he mused, partially shocked and partially expecting it “it didn't feel wrong… maybe even a bit nice... This shitty school is messing with my taste”

His cheek is smooshed against his palm while he scrolls the content of a burner phone, the page showing was a semi recent Wickhive post asking about reasons people like their partners, his thumb stops scrolling over an answer, mulling over it.

“It is the feeling of calmness I get when he hugs me, his chest snug against my arm fitting just right, like it was always meant to be. Like two puzzle pieces snapping together or Orihime’s relief at meeting Hikoboshi even if it has been only a few hours since we saw each other”

Sighing over the overly flowery language he seems to accept the answer and deletes the post, content for now with what he got.

For sure!! But this is a novel and a half so I apologize in advance (also most of this is from memory so anyone can correct me if I'm getting any details wrong)

I realized I'd seen barely any art showing what the victors would have looked like when they won their games. They were all just kids and I feel like it can be easy to forget that sometimes

For all of them, I made the background one of their main "weapons" but tried to make it look like its turning back on them instead since there are no victors as Haymitch said.

I'll try to explain them all more in depth individually going in the order I drew them:

Finnick Odair, 65th Games:

His main weapons were his trident and nets that he made with vines. His background is one of the nets ready to trap him.

Finnick was the youngest victor ever at only 14. I really really wanted to emphasize just how little that is. (Especially since we know exactly why the Capitol loved him from the start…) Once I actually drew him looking that little I had to step away for a bit because I made myself too sad…

Outside of just how horrific his age is as a concept, I tried to think about what circumstances would lead to him actually winning when surrounded by older tributes. I think he would have had to avoid any kind of fight he didn't have the upper hand in. We know that he got the most expensive sponsor gifts in the history of the games (a trident), so he probably got plenty of sponsors outside of that as well. Because of that I doubt he needed to go looking for supplies much if ever so it was easy to avoid people there. He was also probably in a career pack, despite his age, due to his training and his popularity, and they would have hunted other tributes down together much like the one we saw in the first book (safer in numbers). Once it was narrowing down and the pack broke is when I think he started catching people in nets. All of that is a long winded way of saying that's why, unlike the other victors I drew, I only show him with minor cuts and bruises.

Originally I was going to draw him with a kind of strained smile like he was acting for an audience from the start. But I decided I actually think its sadder if he believed he was popular because of his skill and strategy as a fighter and only learned the whole truth after he won and that's when he started acting more for the camera. Instead I gave him a more muted despair kind of look, like his world is crashing down. One of my favorite parts about the movies, mainly THG and ABOSAS, is when they give the career tributes at the end a moment of realization about what they've done, and I wanted to give Finnick his. I'm a person that believes Finnick had to have volunteered for his games. I think he would have legitimately believed in the propaganda the career districts were fed and had a bit of a (very middle school boy) ego about his abilities. (I was NOT expecting to write so much about his lmao)

Enobaria, 62nd Games

She's most well known for ripping someones throat out with her teeth. (Her background is her sharpened teeth getting ready to eat her.) This is treated by The Capitol, and by Katniss, as grotesque and terrifying blood lust (Which obviously the Capitol loves her for). However, and I'm not at all the first to say it, that sounds more like a terrified and desperate attempt to survive a fight she was losing and an example of hysterical strength. We know that Career packs have had bloody betrayals in the past and I can see Enobaria being a part of one of them. Enobaria doesn't have a canonical age, but I decided to put her on the younger side (15 or 16.) I can imagine some of the older, bigger tributes deciding she was the weakest link towards the end and that was the result. I tried to make the blood around her mouth and down her shirt look more faded, like she tried desperately to wipe it off (Also I had to step away from drawing again after I drew her little tooth gap)

I think she probably leaned into the bloodthirsty image afterwards as a way to protect herself and (maybe even started to believe it too)

Annie Cresta, 70th Games

Annie's known for losing her mind after seeing her district partner decapitated in front of her. After that, she ran off and hid until the game makers started an earth quake, which made the large dam in the arena break and cause a huge flood. Annie was the only survivor because she was the strongest swimmer. So I decided to make her background dark water that's churning up and over her head. I also think it can work well as a way to show her mental state in the moment (and afterwards) Annie is actually one of my favorite characters in the series and I've been writing out a plan for a possible comic series about her that'll go more in depth about my headcanons for her. (when I say comic series, I mean sketches and oneshots, not a full thing lmao) It wouldn't take place during her games (outside of a few flashbacks when I need more context), instead it would start at her Victory Tour and go into her first (and last) year as a mentor for the 71st Games. Which is a perfect segue to-

Johanna Mason, 71st Games

Johanna is actually first mentioned early on in the first book when Katniss is wondering if the reason Peeta is crying is because he plans to act weak and helpless as a strategy in the games. (Katniss, he just found out he has to fight in a murder tournament with his crush. He's just Sad.) She bases her theory on Johanna, who pretended she was a "sniveling, cowardly fool" in the arena until the final stretch of the games when she proved to be deadly with an axe.

OR….. Katniss is an unreliable narrator and Johanna was actually a terrified kid from a district with so few victors that she was the only name in the bowl for the Quarter Quell… This is totally just a personal headcanon of mine tho lol. I think there would have been a point in her games where she realized she actually had a chance and that's when she seemingly had a huge character turn around. Maybe there was a infighting with the careers that ended in multiple deaths and there was only a few left along with any other tributes hiding away like her. Maybe she poked around what was left of their camp, found the axe, and felt strength from her district.

Her background was a little harder for me. Just slapping a big axe behind her felt cheesy. But them I remembered her saying there was no one left that she loved. So instead I put trees that could represent her loved ones (Two fully grown trees, a younger "teenage" tree, and a sapling) that are in the process of being cut down.

Haymitch Abernathy, 50th Games

Don't worry, I'm almost done. I don't have as much to say about Haymitch since we know SO much about what happened in his games. But his background was probably the hardest for me. His main weapon was invisible after all. I thought maybe the axe that was used, but again, That would look cheesy. I tried (and kinda failed imo) to draw the cliff side the force field was on instead. But the main thing I did was split the three panels I had on the previous drawings into six for two reasons. 1: Because he had to face twice as many tributes in order to win and 2: Being the only victor of a district that's tributes are seen as fodder for the blood bath means he had to meet and watch the death of twice as many kids every year.

The black guy? Me: With Tom Hanks? Sister: Nope. What's the one where the dude threatens the guards and they get coke? Me: Shawshank Redemption?! Sister: Yeah, I haven't seen that one either. Or Saving Private Ryan. And I'm pretty sure we had Saving Private Ryan at home. Me: We have the Green Mile, too!

Sister: Wawa lied to me… Me: How did I lie? Sister: You made it sound like he died.

Me: Must suck to be Li Chen’s parents sitting there and everyone including the staff is really happy the guy who killed your son won’t be executed. Like, if you believe in the death penalty. Sister: Yeah, they're like screw them, LOL.

Sister’s Predictions for the final two episode/what she would like to happen:

Tobias isn’t getting released unless he gets more family members killed, but he ain’t got that many left.

Cyril will get sent to the mental institute and Ryan will probably mellow out if he’s smart and learns to reflect and be grateful. Or he’ll just keep being a dick. Or maybe O’Reily will stop showing up now that his storyline is done and then we can finally have time to focus on other people’s stories. I mean, what do we have left? Two hours? We got a lot to get done. But I feel like he’s a fan favorite because they do so much crap with him, there’s no way they’re going to just shove him aside. Even if he’s in the background, he’s gonna be, like, standing there. And there’s the stuff with his mom and the other dude. He’s probably going to bless their relationship or whatever and say he understands now.

Redding’s probably going to die because he’s not doing anything else so far. But if the show wants to end with a sense of calm, then Redding’s probably going to survive, or Poet and the other guy will die because they’re already getting messed with.

Miguel will become leader… Or maybe Chico will become leader, if he finds the leadership balls. Someone will come up to him and be like “who’s leader” and he’ll be like “oh, let me go ask Miguel”, which is like HUH? But if he had the leadership balls, he would just be like “Oh, I am!” …There’s only two options with the Latinos. Some random person? I don’t think so.

Keller will die if the show wants to end things on a calm note, but if they want to end things chaotically, he will kill someone and become leader of the white supremacists maybe.

Depending on how much time is allotted to other stories, Idzik will die as a casualty by someone else’s hand and he’ll die as he wanted, and Mr Dinosaur (Omar) won’t get in trouble.

The Muslims need to find a strong leader… The current guy isn’t leadership material so he’ll probably get overthrown.

Lord of the Rings type ending after the ending in the last episode where we do a tour of all the groups and staff with like Mukada and Sister Pete where it seemingly never finishes. The old people (Rebadow and Stella) are probably going to be part of the Lord of the Rings ending. Maybe they’ll do a little wink and wave with the Gays, if they’re really wanting to hit all the groups and give some representation before the show ends. Each group has about…. [some strange Sister math later] 10 minutes and 54 seconds of screen time in the next two episodes.

Next episode will be the action finale and then episode 8 will be a bunch of fall out and resolution so they can give the show a nice ending. Unless they really didn’t know the show would end.

I almost went with their cover of Mylène Farmer's Désenchantée, but in the end I settled on this one cause not only does it get stuck in my head, once in a while, but they also pronouce "femme" properly LOL (one of them is French, so of course they pronounce it properly x) ). It's also very catchy :).

S2E5: Duane Barry

Case: Our episode finds us in Virginia. I know this because it is the literal first thing written down in my notes. I'm learning. (No I'm not.)

Anyway. This episode, which takes place in Virginia, is part one of a three part (+ one weird fever dream episode) plot arc that will be extremely relevant to the rest of the overall plot of the X-Files from here on out. Everybody thank Gillian Anderson's daughter Piper for existing, and also Gillian Anderson for putting up with extremely questionable treatment from the show runners while she was pregnant, instead of just rage quitting like I probably would have. (She went back to work 10 days after having a C-section and they LET her, that's fucking INSANE and makes me so mad on her behalf lol.) 

But I digress.

Duane Barry! He might not have had to go film a TV show ten days after major surgery and like, giving life to a human being, but he sure is going through it, huh? Poor dude can't stop getting abducted by aliens. Probably. That, or he is suffering from a violent and unpredictable psychosis. It's one or the other for sure. And that wouldn't really be anybody's problem, except Duane has decided that he's done with the tests and teeth drilling, tyvm, and would like someone else to have a turn, so he captures his psychiatrist and busts out of the mental institution, intending to offer the psych up as tribute to the aliens. Unfortunately for Duane, however, he doesn't actually remember where the aliens said they'd pick him up at, so he hits up a travel agency, which ultimately devolves into him holding three workers plus the psychiatrist hostage.

Enter Mulder and our favorite punkass bitch sidekick, Alex Krycek! 😃 

Mulder, being the alien abductee whisperer that he is, gains Duane's trust, and we are kept on our toes as the episode does a pretty solid job at drawing out the suspense as we (along with Mulder) are ping-ponged back and forth about whether or not Duane is who and what he says he is. By the end of the episode there is still a lingering doubt, BUT, a very unsettling voicemail on Mulder's answering machine tells us we're gonna have bigger things to worry about now.

An agent, who I just now realized I recognize because she played a doctor on ER, asks Mulder to help with a hostage negotiation because he knows things about alien abductions, and then is surprised and irate when he makes the conversation about alien abductions; that same agent makes Krycek get her a grande 2% cappuccino with vanilla, which earns her my eternal love; Scully buys an entire bag of groceries for $11.14, and also breaks the barcode scanner with an unidentified metal implant and then just sort of shrugs at the store clerk and leaves; and a "Mulder, it's me" phone call ends with the sound of screams for help and broken glass, whuh-oh!

Oh, and this is the episode with the red speedo.

Does someone die in the cold open: No, but things aren't really going great either. Not that they ever tend to be going great in X-Files' cold opens.

Does the evidence survive the investigation: Ok, so the "case" this time was technically "do the hostage negotiation and get the hostages out alive," so evidence wasn't needed. Ig.

Whodunit: Duane Barry, our favorite kidnapper and alien abductee [citation needed]!

Convictions: Lol, I literally just blew out a sigh and said "ummm" out loud to myself alone in my office, that's embarrassing, but also... we'll come back to this question next episode. 

Did they solve it: Because Mulder did get the hostages out of the building safely, and because I know it's gonna be a minute before he or Scully have any real wins in their lives, I will give them this.

♡ The two of you had gone for a walk in the park, Jungwon having had a free day and not wanted to waste even the smallest piece of the precious spring beauty.

♡ At least that’s how it began. After a stroll beneath the blossoms, the two of you wended your way down the hilly green trails that led to the pond and tossed grape halves to the ducks that paddled around there. From there, you crossed to an open expanse of hills, the occasional couple and family dotting the wide green. You chatted, then Jungwon was lightly teasing you, and somehow in the shine of sun and mirth he started chasing you along one of the hills.

♡ You ran, giggling, and Jungwon was caught up in the joy of the perfect day. His foot caught as he ran, sending him stumbling forward. Before he could faceplant into the grass, though, you reached out and caught him by the collar of his cardigan, holding him steady and stepping closer to right him.

♡ “You’re my hero, (y/n),” he told you with a grin. “I’m just glad I was here to save you,” you replied with a joyous look of your own, “I think we were having a bit too much fun.” Jungwon paused, biting his lip with a bit of hesitance before he spoke. “I always have too much fun when I’m with you. Being with you, well…it just feels right.”

♡ “That’s exactly how I feel, Jungwon.” His smile widens, revealing the dimples you love, and his eyes drift down to your hand, which is still clutching his collar. Embarrassment flicks across your face, but is quickly eclipsed by mischief as you tug him toward your lips.

Heeseung

♡ He doesn’t think he should confess, frankly, because he’s scared of messing things with you and the guys up, so the rest of Enhypen decides to force his hand because there’s no way you guys don’t both like each other.

♡ They all hype up using one of their days off to go see a movie, all eight of them. Jay says he’s heard good reviews, Riki and Sunoo say they can’t wait to see it, Jungwon thinks it’ll be great bonding time for you eight. Then when Heeseung and you arrive at the theatres early just like the whole group chat planned, none of them are there.

♡ Seeing him as the most trustworthy, Heeseung texts Jungwon to see what's up, apologizing to you as he does so. "I'm so sorry, I'm not sure what's wrong with everybody." Ding.

Yang Jungwon: Oh, we aren't going, we all got...called in for a doctor’s appointment! ㅎ ㅎ Enjoy your date :3

Me: What? Was this all part of your little plan? It isn't a date if we don't both agree and think of it as one.

Yang Jungwon: Then make it one 😼

♡ "I'm sorry," Heeseung sighs, apologizing once more in a calm voice despite his internal monologue being ready to punch all of his dongsaengs, "now it looks like they're dropping the ball. Something about doctor's appointments or something. If you want to call it off, I understand." Your look of concern melted into incredulity. "No one's sick or hurt, are they?" Not until I'm through with them. "No, not really, I don't think." "Then as long as you don't have to leave," you say with a smile, "why would we have to cancel? I for one am really glad to be able to spend more time with you." The earnest way you speak, your pretty smile and the pleased tilt of your lips, it's all too much for Heeseung. You just sound so sincere, maybe, just maybe, this can be a date. If he doesn't try, he'll regret it for the rest of his life.

♡ "I am, too. Glad that I get to spend more time with you, that is. The truth is, (y/n), that I like you." "I like you too!" You reply brightly, leaning closer into his side as his jaw drops. "You do? The others were right then..." He pulls you into his side, chuckling. "Well, in that case, I'll tell you the truth: they bailed because they wanted me to make this a date." "If that was what it took," you joked, linking your arm with Heeseung's, "I'd have cancelled one of our plans long ago."

Jay

♡ Jay's torn. What's the best way to show someone you really care? A grand gesture, showing them you'd go out of your way for them and spoiling them with the appreciation they deserve. What's the safest way to make your feelings known without the pain of a long, hard, detailed rejection? Just slipping their object a little line that might go over their head.

♡ He practically practices the line more than the outing, convinced having the perfect one is more make-or-break than your destination, which you two would enjoy almost no matter what. He could ask 'wanna kiss?', then have a couple Hershey's in his bag as backup if you were grossed out. But that was a bit too forward maybe? It needed to be something between a compliment and a cheap pickup phrase.

♡ You arrive at the art gallery, the place where Jay had reserved entry tickets and invited you to stroll through with him. He has to smile at the sight of you dressed in a black outfit that was perfectly your style... and accidentally complimentary to his own dark-hued look. "Hey, we match!" You beat him to the punch as you greeted him with a hug, smiling wider at the fond look he gave you as you pulled away. At the thought of you two resembling a couple, Jay’s fondness intensifies. “We sure do.”

♡ You’re strolling past a section of Victorian art, landscapes and beautiful portraits alike. Every now and again, you tug on Jay’s sleeve, pointing him towards one that really speaks to you with sparkling eyes that have him subconsciously leaning into you that much more, far more taken by that than anything a paintbrush can create. His jacket brushes your cheek at one point, a flush of admiration creeping to his face at the adorable way you crinkle your nose.

♡ “You know where the prettiest work of art here is?” Jay suddenly asks you after a few minutes of taking in a gorgeous floral still-life. “Where?” You ask, head suddenly snapping up like you could beat him to finding it. Shaking his own head, Jay motions to you. “Right here.” If you laugh it off, he’ll back off, he thinks. But instead you turn your head away shyly. “I didn’t know you thought that,” you replied quietly. “I do,” Jay insists, craning his neck to look more directly at you. “And here I thought you were more handsome than any statue we saw today,” you added more boldly, and Jay was practically ready to faint. He settled for yanking you into a kiss before you could see his blush, though.

Jake

♡ You’re the most amazing person Jake has ever met, so you deserve to be told that, shown that & then some. What to do, though, that would capture it?

♡ Learn a song to serenade you with, that’s what!!! What captures how Jake is feeling, and how he wants you to know that even if it’s hard, you can say no? Day6’s 좋아합니다 (I Like You) is what he settles on, the words shaking him to his core when he listens to it, realizing it’s exactly what he wants to say to you. It feels like they wrote it for that moment. He wants to love you, but he doesn’t want to lose you, either.

♡ He practices every day that he can, learning a rendition on his guitar to back up the lyrics, which he pours his heart into every time. Finally, he tells you he wants to show you something, pulling you aside and readying his guitar as he gives you the most emotion-filled performance yet. Your hands are reaching for your quickly beating heart by the time Jake is finished, your voice faltering as it gushes praises for his beautiful performance.

♡ "H- have you ever felt like that, (y/n)?" Jake suddenly asks, head tilting as he looks away, running a hand through the hair falling at the back of his neck. "Yes," you reply quietly with a nod. Even as his gaze drops, your eyes follow his, much steadier than your words. "Well, me too. You're one of the best friends I've had, so I don't want you to feel uncomfortable, but I just had to tell you somehow how amazing you are. You're just a great person and you make me happy. Would you ever consider being more than friends?"

♡ "Yes," you repeated, this time a bit louder, "I thought my heart was going to explode because you were singing exactly how I feel about you! Yes, yes, I would!" Jake leapt off the stool he'd sat on to play you his song, running to stand by you and take the hand that was pressed over your heart in his with a few lighthearted taps. "No exploding! No exploding!" You giggled at his sweet voice and cute expression, feeling warmth rise to your cheeks. "How can it not when you do that?"

Sunghoon

♡ Bro it is a total accident 💀 leave it to Sunghoon’s luck…but also apparently do actually because it gets him to confess to you 👀

♡ It all started on Enhypen’s and your game night. Heeseung was all geared up to destroy Jungwon, Sunoo, and Riki at Mario Kart while the rest of you had somehow gotten entangled in a game of Monopoly, and we all know how that goes!

♡ “I’m the ultimate businessman,” Jay remarked, “so I’m going to win this!” “You never know,” Sunoo contested, “with my luck I might beat you!” “So you guys are just ignoring me?” Jake teased, turning away in mock offense. “That’s cool. That’s fine. You’ll all see. What about you, Sunghoon? Are you going to win or are you going to let (y/n) win?” Jake asked, turning Sunghoon’s way with a nod of the head towards you. After a brief, barely perceptible dagger-glare Jake’s way, Sunghoon responded, managing to cover his pounding heart with a “Well, we’ll just have to see, huh?”

♡ When you start playing, though, for all of Sunoo and the J-boys’ talk, you’re the one accruing wealth at the fastest rate, having gotten multiple chances at expensive properties that really stabbed everyone for toll. Jay, wanting to take you down, told Sunghoon the moment he had a chance to buy one off of you. “Ruin (y/n)’s chances of winning,” he urged. “Are you really going to destroy my empire now?” You mock-pouted, and to your faint surprise Sunghoon relented immediately, determined stare softening back up. “No, I like you too much to do that.”

♡ The game piece you were holding (the dog, of course, for Sunghoon made sure to sneak it by you so you had your favorite) tumbled out of your hand. “You like me too?” Sunghoon froze, eyes darting between the fallen pewter scotty and your slowly fading smile. Your own gaze started to fall from him…wait, you thought- “I do! I really do!” He blurted out in a panic before you thought he misunderstood. When your smile came back, he reached down, picked up your game piece, and pressed it into your hand. Taking the piece slowly, your hands brushing with his, you looked at him with triumphant joy. He finished his turn immediately, letting his hand creep over to yours when you righted your piece again, attention far from Monopoly. “Jake was right. I’m so letting you win.”

Sunoo

♡ No matter when he does it, where Sunoo confesses how he feels about you, he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that it’s a moment that’ll be captured forever in his memory.

♡ That thought gets his mental gears turning just as they turn trying to confirm he has a chance with you, working until they hatch a plan that makes him happy enough to burst into a smile just walking down the hall at work.

♡ “Hey, we’ve never done this before- let’s try it!” Looking up, you follow Sunoo’s pointing hand across the lane to lock your gaze on a photo booth. It was your first time hanging out since the idea had come to him, so he chose your venue wisely. Luckily you agreed immediately, eagerly pulling him into the booth and pulling out money to deposit into the machine.

♡ For the first shot, you did bunny ears on top of Sunoo’s head with your index and middle fingers while he did a flower pose, smile full as he laughed at your teasing pose and admired your smile. In the second, you made normal smiles as you each put a hand out, forming a heart shape. The timer started counting down, so you turned to Sunoo to ask what you should do next, only to be met with a dreamy look in his lovely amber eyes. “I like you,” he said. Your hands flew up by your face, barely able to obscure the massive smile that spread across it. Click. The camera went off right as you reacted, but you barely regarded it.

♡ The last shot on the strip, neither of you were really looking at the camera, you least off all as you were turned, eyes fluttering shut, lips pressed to Sunoo’s cheek. Just as the thought had echoed across his mind, he truly captured the moment forever and ever, each of you carrying a copy that you could hold and reminisce on for the rest of your lives.

Ni-Ki

♡ He wants everything to be perfect, so by golly it will be 😤

♡ Step One? He’s inviting you to your favorite place, be it a cute café or a full-on restaurant, you will be meeting him there. Step Two is procuring the flowers he will be presenting you with as you walk in.

♡ Which you eventually do, literally taking Riki’s breath away with how you make even the simplest of outfits look amazing and the way your smile holds a perfect day’s rising sun.

♡ Your mouth falls open at the flowers, blossoms delicately bursting from their paper confines as they fave you. “Riki, this is amazing, but what’s this all for?” You truly look confused and he almost wants to laugh. He does chuckle, in fact. “What? Is it obvious?” You ask him. You guys are young. It’s not like you’re getting flowers left and right. “It is to me. I really like you, (y/n). So we’re going to have the best day ever!” He smiles widely as his eyes fix you in a way they’ve never done before. It falters slightly the longer you stare, returning only when you mirror it.

♡ “I already have!” You exclaim, gently moving the flowers aside to pull Riki into a hug. You feel a breath of startlement escape him before he tightly hugs back, practically crushing the life out of you in response and swinging you back and forth a bit. As you pulled away, looking into those beautiful brown eyes, you giggled. “I didn’t expect you to be so traditional!” “I wanted to get the point across!” He shot back with a playful shove. “It only took me a second because I felt like I was dreaming,” you replied.

Faves: Deku -- they are very similiar people-- screaming obsessive stalkers that care very much about other people (in their own way) and are inspired to violence (in their own way) because of that. + i feel like the PLF would have a high likelihood to recognize and acknowledge how the lack of bodily autonomy granted in a hero-based society greatly harms quirkless people. i have a whole headcanon about young skeptic using his unusually overpowered quirk to protect kids that got bullied, which was PRIMARILY heteromorph/mutant types but probably also included like the 1or 2 quirkless kids in his school. i like to imagine a scenario either of 'they went to school together' or 'deku never got OFA and so ended up getting picked up by the Meta Liberaton Army (pre-LoV) and them either helping/sponsoring him to become the first quirkless hero (because it helps their narrative) OR a non-of-that-happened au where he graduates highschool and joins and quickly becomes skeps right-hand-arm, his confidant, his silly rabbit (They just both rant at eachother nonstop and neither ever gets tired of listening to the other even though it sounds liek arguing. they both stalk eachother to show affection)

Tokoyami-- i like to imagine a post-series situation where Pro Hero Tokoyami sees and recognizes Tomoyasu, who was previously a HIGHLY visible GOTH individual in the public eye that was outspoken about heteromorph rights. hard to imagine young tokoyami not admiring him, at least distantly, so meeting up with him again as an adult would change things a lot. i could see them getting together <3 it would be really cute

as far as my personal headcanons (the ones above notwithstanding... i think hes technically a mutant! but hes the TYPE of mutant where its minimal enough that in almost any room he will never be the MOST visibly mutated. he has spent his life Very Aware that the only reason he isnt discriminated against is because other people are discriminated against HARDER. that if every super-visibly mutated person on the world disappeared (like the CRC group wants) then the focus would go to people with tails, then people with animal ears, and then people like him. He has known he was just Lucky since he was 5 and he never forgot that, and thats why as a grown adult (in his.. what? 30s? 40s? i like him to be about 37-42 in canon but if you told me he was 26 id believe you) he would still have such strong opinions and focus specifically on people with visible mutations and the struggles they have

Again - I'm not complaining, because these are the Rules and it will probably all be very funny. But... why? How wonderful it would be if the guys supported Toey in his CONFESSION 🤡

As always, the best things were the friendships and relationships within the group. I absolutely love bringing flowers as congratulations, especially between guys, it was really nice. It's great how everyone supports each other and has healthy competition. I love all the moments when they talk to each other about their problems, no one pressures, when the person confiding in them struggles with what and how much they can say, also a complete lack of judgments and stupid comments. I love how much positivity there is in their conversations, including conversations using sticky notes 💖 They are all nice as friends, no one is mean. I love how they all collectively decided that their moments, big and important and small anc cute, totally deserved to be celebrated. The 'spilling the tea" about Toey's "secret feelings" scene was hilarious 😆

I'm so glad I came across your post because I swear I'm going to go insane with the hate for both Lando and Oscar. I'm very very new to f1 so I don't have the same context to things like others do, but I grew fond of Lando and Oscar because I liked that they both want to race one another and that they want to win based on merit. 

It's just really frustrating that McLaren keeps putting them in a position that hurts them both. I know they don't want to have a no. 1 driver but I feel like they're at a point when they can give the drivers specific orders in certain situations to get them the best results. Like couldn't they have told them get through the first lap first as 1-2, build a gap between the cars behind them, then race? That's why I don't blame Oscar for overtaking at the start because it looked like the orders were for them to race. I know it's still not a guarantee they win because they did need 2 stops but I think they could've at least prevented this whole hate train for both drivers had they given them specific orders.

Anw I'm sorry for rambling, my friend who got me into f1 can't handle my ramblings when it comes to mclaren lol and I'm losing my head with everything that's happened 😅 Hope you have a nice day!

100%! i agree with you. i think mclaren has been hesitant, for whatever reason, to declare a clear strategy for both of them. now, given the circumstances, they seem forced to. now they come out and say that starting with baku they will prioritize lando. that should've been decided weeks ago (or, y'know, explicitly shown in the races.) i'm not sure i get why they decided to go about it this way. i personally hate team orders and am a sucker for drivers going at it (hah, no pun intended) until the very end, but hey, this sport has gotten huge and there's a lot of money involved, so i also understand that sponsors need guarantees etc. i only wish they'd done it sooner and eased some pain for them both. i had a hard time listening and seeing oscar's post race radio with tom today, with him cursing and hitting the steering wheel.

i saw a post on x earlier today that presented a theory i could totally get behind. it suggested that in today's morning debrief, oscar and lando must've been told the plan for the rest of the calendar. so, oscar must've seen this as a last opportunity to try to win a race before resigning himself to just being lando's second driver for the rest of the year. hence the risky overtake, the anger post-race, etc. it's just a theory, but i think it makes a lot of sense.

i do think they had a clear strategy (as clear as: race each other and don't crash can be, y'know) but oscar saw an opening and took it. again, as i told someone else earlier, the race wasn't lost because of this.

self care for a monstrous nightmare (httyd) the monstrous nightmare is a muscular, agile dragon, with sharp features and a pair of powerful wings to make it an intimidating opponent. this large dragon's body contains a kerosene gel, which coats its body and allows it to cover itself in flames, as well as being in its saliva, allowing it to either spit this gel or use it to enhance its own fire.

getting in the headspace of your home environment i ♡ mynoise.net for kin audios; the premium is so worth it just to make the custom mixers, i have recreated so many 'home' feeling audios with it. i get that isn't affordable for everyone, though, so i kept it to free user only sounds. - fireplace [ link ]: the most obvious choice - primeval forest, preset 'light hail' [ link ]: i think the hail sounds kind of like fire crackling, and then you have the forest habitat - medieval village, custom settings [ link ]: modified the 'meet the blacksmith' preset a bit to feel more fitting - warp speed, preset 'asleep in quarters' [ link ]: this sounds like the rumble of a sleeping dragon to me :3

physical things i understand these might not be attainable for everyone in every situation, but hopefully at least one is something you can do! - turn your sleeping space into a cave: arrange pillows/blankets around your sleeping area in a way that helps you feel like a huge dragon taking up a bunch of cave space! sleeping under a weighted blanket might also help you feel like a big powerful creature - engage in muscle-building exercise: since monstrous nightmares have such a strong body type, doing things to build muscle (weight lifting, climbing activities if there's a facility nearby, push-ups, squats, etc) may help you feel more connected - hot n spicy foods: while human bodies are not equipped to spit fire, we do enjoy eating a good spicy food. consider adding some higher levels of heat to your meals, to really feel that tingle on your tongue like you're getting ready to exhale a fireball. - keep your core warm: heating pads, warm baths, or using a fireplace/going to a fire pit can help you feel connected to the natural warmth inside the monstrous nightmare's body

It's being sued or smth rn (class action I think?). Takes advantage of people needing access to mental health care, when in reality BetterHelp is a terrible company that treats therapists AND clients like shit. The FTC recently gave them a huge fine for selling client health data to for-profit advertising corporations like Facebook but they still deny wrongdoing and haven't stopped the shill campaign. At least when a meal kit service or w/e is poor-quality usually all it means is you wasted your money, but if you trust the wrong therapy service there is a lot more that can go horribly wrong. (Cerebral is even worse since it was essentially all the problems of BetterHelp mixed with handing out addictive controlled substances like candy, but I haven't seen it on Youtube as much)

This is the only sponsorship that has actively made me unsubscribe from anyone that advertises it. While others like raycon or squarespace are usually annoying. Betterhelp is actively harmful to both their patients and their therapists, sells personal health data of their users to ad companies and it isn't even cheaper than real therapy at this point like they claim to be. It makes me see red when I see another youtuber saying how "good" it is and how it helped them (which it honestly looks like a script at this point) and telling their usually young audience to sign in. What was it like living without each other only seeing each other a few days each year except maybe through the monitored phones in the victor houses? Did they starve and suffer in their districts before their wins?

Yes. Yes they did but Billy more so as for a few years after winning Steve dated a series of girls in his district to try and avoid what he had heard whispers of. Billy didn't have the advantage of information and soon found himself being transported to the Capital for whoever had requested his services.

He basically went feral in the arena and killed his way through it threw pure rage and fear. Just like a Tiger he stalked the other tributes and attacked them getting the upper hand through surprise mostly and his strength. Shock attacks but he definitely held his own a few times as well.

As said, Billy went beast mode and killed anyone he ran into until no one was left and he won. Fear and anger being a constant emotion throughout but due to his killing spree it didn't last very long since no one had the chance to hide for long before he found them. Only Max moves in with Billy as his father isn't invited and Susan stays with him. Steve, however, charmed his way into sponsors and kept to himself only killing those who attacked him first. Shame and guilt occupied his mind throughout as his family name was being dragged through the mud by the son who chose to hide rather than fight but when he was crowned that was all washed away and he went on to live in victor's village alone while his family stayed at home.

Billy planned to die in the arena before he realised he could actually win and went on his rampage so no but Steve did befriend a few of the other tributes before entering the game. However, they all either died before he could find them or actively attacked him.

Billy got somewhere between 8-9 for his strength, climbing abilities and axe work. Steve got 6-7 for his fighting abilities but didn't really impress anyone.

Billy is very good at sneaking because of his home life and he can deal with injuries due to being used to it. He is strong from being a lumberjack but doesn't care for accuracy in battle and just goes in for the swing. He can climb anything and that becomes very useful when surprise attacking other tributes. Steve is observant and good with people. Strong but more smart in fights as he doesn't have the instinctive rage like Billy. He's good with a weapon but not so much his bare hands.

Steve was reaped and he couldn't move but somehow walked up to the stage smiled at the cameras and it didn't sink in until he was on the train and he went into full on panic attack mode. Billy laughed. Of course it would be him, of course when he was almost safe.

Billy had a few of his name in there from getting extra food because of course Max couldn't but he never actually thought he would get reaped.

They definitely had a code system to get away with saying things over the phone. Like "I hope I get some good tributes this year" meaning "I cant wait to see you" or "I miss the Capitol" meaning "I miss you". Stuff like that which would sound like they love the games but in fact they only continue to mentor to see each other. It would be difficult. Especially the guilt of their happiest moments coming at the cost of dead children and Billy finds that very hard to deal with.

Steve's family had money. His parents both being quite important in the energy sector and he was expected to follow in their footsteps but didn't pass any tests or qualify for higher up positions. Billy's mother died when he was 10 and then Max and Susan moved in soon after as Neil couldn't deal with raising him alone and wanted someone to run the house while he worked in lumber making just enough to feed everyone but he still used Billy to get extra food and the day Billy turned 14 he was dragged out of school and an axe was put in his hands.
