I did not expect Q to be the one to stand up for Phum, but I wasn't really surprised after the last ep. Previously, he'd be the first one to go up in arms, but he's starting to understand maybe everything isn't that straightforward, and despite his friends meddling in his own relationship, he wants to leave Peem alone.

Conclusion: he's a very good friend.

Did you expect Gawyn casting day to be this chaotic 😂

not on your LIFE hahaha but i mean, after all the months i've spent building up to it and anxiously awaiting it, a normal straightforward announcement would've been anticlimactic. we needed some excitement and drama to go along with it! i truly was embarking upon the five stages of grief for the first hour. denial (no way, they must've messed up the announcement), anger (look how they massacred my boy!!!!!), bargaining (well MAYBE galad will be likeable to me instead in the show, at least?), depression (i can't believe i'll never get to see gawyn onscreen the way i wanted him portrayed.....), and that's where i was when they announced that, indeed, they had messed it up and my initial gut denial reaction was right!

in conclusion, it was all very "gawyn hearing morgase is dead and going off the deep end for a bit and then finding out she's actually alive and all that melodrama was for naught, how embarrassing" of me. and thus, the most appropriate casting announcement he could have had! and i can't lie, back during speculation i wasn't really sold on the thought of luke as gawyn because he seems older and more competent than the cringefail 23-year-old (affectionate) i always pictured, so making me think i was in the worst timeline of callum playing gawyn for an hour before revealing the truth was the best way to get me overjoyed and excited to learn that luke is playing him djkfjg and hey, the EF4+elayne actors ARE all approaching or reaching 30 now, so early-30s gawyn isn't at all off base when you mentally adjust for that. i'm just so used to thinking of them as the mid-20s lil kiddos they were back during s1!

So, about a JJK sequel...

I still think it can happen 😂

JJK's ending was nearly forcefully happy with all the conflicts squished to nothing and things that could or should've been an open conflict ignored. But there is still potential there either way for more story. Things like: Tengen and her barriers, the foreign invasion, clan politics, even the Culling Games seem more on hold than actually over with the official translation. The emergence of new curses because of the all the fucked up shit that happened on everyone's screen is also a possibility. Gojo's death should've some kind of far reaching impact as well just like his birth.

More concrete stuff like Nobara's mother is also there but most importantly it's Megumi and his character arc that needs more story, especially his cursed technique. His arc had been tied to the 10S and his domain but after Sukuna took over all of that was thrown away. You could argue that Sukuna using the 10S was enough to satisfy that aspect of the themes and plot but it simply isn't.

For Megumi's last act there is so much missing for him (from a proper reciprocal relationship with Sukuna to Tsumiki's soul appearing suddenly and then never again to completing his domain to simply not having enough panel time in the end) that it's just a bad character conclusion. If Megumi's story ends like this it's rushed, cut off and bad writing.

Except Gege uses the end of JJK, chapter 271, as a cutting point for the next part of the story. There Megumi's arc can come to a proper conclusion including some addtional trauma from Sukuna's possession which is also completely missing from the ending except some superficial scars.

Nobara would've her mother plot to deal with while Yuji would try to fulfill the dream Gojo left him with but with some much needed tweaks I wrote about here ("How Mei Mei's inclusion in the good guy's team goes against Gojo's dream - or not?"). Yuta and Maki can deal with politics now the big clans fell apart and Japan got invaded.

As I said while the big discussions about a potential sequel got talked about before the ending came out, if the ending itself doesn't confirm a sequel (which it didn't) then we can wait many months for an official anouncement to be made if it really comes, like with other manga that got a sequel.

As of now, don't expect anything until the last two volumes come out on December 25. Only after that a sequel anouncement would be made. My personal theory though when that would come is February 21 because the time 02:21 appeared twice in the last chapters.

So like, either JJK ends with an ending that wasn't super liked with the deuteragonist missing an entire arc or it gets more story to give the suppressed conflicts at the end a proper conclusion etc. I know what I'd prefere but... I can live without a sequel, too 😞

comparing Brother Bear with TBT since their Both movies about Brotherhood and also Brother Bear just Randomly popped into my head again today.

I've loved Brother Bear for years I think its a very underrated Disney movie with nice songs cute characters and a cute story.

and I randomly started thinking about it earlier and then started comparing it to TBT since their both strongly focused on Brotherhood.

and I realised that for some reason Brother Bear doesn't bother me as much as TBT does even tho it technically has many of the same faults.

it Rushes over the interesting character Drama and it Rushes a conclusion to said Drama between the Brothers at the end.

like the scene in the main film of Kenai confessing to Koda is still fairly sad but its massively undercut by having the song play over it.

the deleted version of that scene where the song doesn't play and we get to hear the full version of Kenai's confession and Koda's reaction is available on youtube and its way more heart-breaking imo.

which I guess is why they didn't go with that version since it would have maybe been a bit too much for young kids.

but the movie also employs the gimmick of having the brothers come back together in the end to fight off a life threatening enemy and all is seemingly forgiven between them straight away afterwards.

I guess one reason why BB doesn't bother me as much as TBT is that Kenai actually grows throughout the film despite wronging Koda in a massive way.

and Koda forgiving him too quickly in the ending is not as bothersome because we didn't see Kenai mistreat him the entire film up until the point he found out.

and he didn't then proceed to hurt him again in arguably just as bad a way as he did before like Bro zone did.

instead Kenai did grow in the film and he and Koda already had a healthy relationship prior to the reveal and later confession.

plus what they had throughout the film was genuine sibling banter it wasn't one sided like Bro zone's interactions were with Branch where it was basically just them treating him like a kid and not taking his Valid feelings seriously.

and when Kenai confesses to Koda he's a lot more openly remorseful and tries to go after him to make things right Bro zone just get a brief 4 second shot of them feeling bad and then the movie moves on.

not to mention the climax of BB involves Kenai making a sacrifice for Koda first off he puts his own life in danger in order to save him from his Brother Denahi. and at the very end he makes a big sacrifice ( staying as a Bear so he can stay with him even tho it means leaving behind his human life and not being able to openly communicate with his family )

which somewhat works as an act of love and redemption whereas the climax of TBT involves Bro zone being forced to work together in order to save their own lives as well as the life of the Bro who none of them wronged all that much tbh.

it doesn't really work as a first step towards them redeeming themselves and fixing their family because its kinda selfish and it didn't involve them really making any sort of personal sacrifice or even that much effort.

ya know its funny I just thought I'd make this post as a Random little thought since that's all this was I didn't actually expect to talk in depth and compare the movies stories this much lol.

anyway in short I love Brother Bear its a very adorable film and while its far from perfect in how it handles its story its flaws don't stop me from enjoying it.

since it still handled the more important parts of the story well enough.

unlike with Trolls 3 best thing I can say about it is that the movie version of "" Better Place "" is a legit great little song and frankly its too good for this film.

the story didn't earn such an emotional music piece in my opinion.

SMG4 Episode Review: The Mario PC virus💻️

I know I'm late to the hype train and I'm sorry about that! but at least I was able to get this out this week! So, let's get started!

Anyways, here's how it'll go:

I'll explain what I liked and noticed about some scenes in the new episode. And at the bottom there will be a screenshot of a scene I liked or found interesting in the new episode but in gl2.

I liked smg4 going insane over his project being perfect. I mean sure, I would've liked him changing his ways and actually improve as a character, but It shows how realistic the show and the characters are! Even in some scenes it can be random.

-Side note: I wonder if the show will focus on the mistakes that smg4 and the crew made? It'll be an interesting arc for the characters tbh..

Anyway I'm getting distracted!!

This pirate outfit looks really cool, and I hope to see the crew wearing different outfits in other episodes!

This was my reaction to everything that's happening in smg4's computer.. rip that poor file📁

Also like, am I the only one that thought the virus designs looked really cool? I mean look at 'em! I might be going crazy but I just thought their designs looked neat!✨

Now here's what interested me..

In my AU that I'm working on smg4 is kind of worse? in a way. And this shows that side of him a little, not giving people (Or in this case a Buddy) a chance.

I was surprised to see Bonzi Buddy as well! felt bad for him during this episode.

I know he was sort of a threat in this episode but you can't help but feel bad for him! Plus, he wasn't the one who caused the chaotic war that happened in smg4's pc so... is he really the bad guy?

I was happy to see him then he was crushed and I thought he wouldn't come back in the episode, but then he came back!

I'm not that big in the smg34 ship but, does he have a thing for 3 or....

Anyway... after smg4 plugged the USB, ohoho boy, it's about to go down!! This fight scene was epic as hell! it was beautifully animated and ya'll, I think I'm in love..

DUDE HOLY HECK!! I LOVE THEM AND EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SCENE SM IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE AAAAA!!!!!!!!!- *Cough* excuse me but like- I love them your honor✋️I'M A SIMP WHOOOOO!!!!!!!- *COUGH* Crap!

Like goddamn! Chris was already awesome and I loved the fight scene sm!! I know this was unintentional but, their fighting styles really spoke out to me. Chris fights in a more stealthy way and is focused and taking it seriously the entire time. Doing his mission which I respect!

But Swag? he's having fun doing this, there's no way he was taking any of this seriously!!😂 He was jumping all over the place, they're such polar opposites that I love them for it!

I really thought the whole Creeper rap song was play the entire time ngl..

Seriously though.. he's got some moves, DAMN! Sonic you got a great husband! GFY! (Good For You!)

These scenes made me emotional- this was like an hour and a half movie.

-Basically Entroric and Puzzles' relationship in a nutshell.

Also, I ship them now your honor.💍 they are married gays.

I wasn't expecting a scene like this so this really surprised me in so many ways I cannot describe.

I wonder if this is tied to WOTFI 2025.. I might be think too deeply on that part but, still, you can't deny it's an interesting thought.

Holy crap what's gonna happen now.. will Buddy be a new enemy for smg4? Is something bad gonna happen? how will this episode end!?-

Oh wait nvm.. he just threw everything away! and Buddy's never gonna return so, throw all of my theories and thoughts out of the window!!

-Conclusion-

I liked this episode as well. And It felt like an actual movie when I first watched it.

I'm pretty sure smg4 will continue showing signs that he's still connected to IGBP somehow so, I'll wait until the next episode.

Though I will say, Swag and Chris were the highlights of this episode! good work to Luke and the team!! this was an another banger of an episode!

When I was dying of an ear infection back in December, I had the most vivid dream of Morpheus from The Sandman sitting at the foot of my bed telling me that my life was one of his tools that he needed back. In exchange for my life, Morpheus promised me he would go back in time to stop me from making a mistake that I wished I hadn't done.

I chose working on this fucking thing.

Don't get me wrong, Tsunaida had the best plot out of the series and all of Yoshio Akira's works. I'd even go as far as saying it's one of the best releases of its time—it was nominated for Best Series in the 2021 chilchil awards for a reason (it was robbed, I tell you). It's just my life has gone downhill since I picked this up. HAHAHAHAHA Not to mention, older Chesk was bad and cringe. I'm sorry for arguing with you over this series, Kimmy. It wasn't worth it.

This series is still ongoing, only god knows why. I got so sick of it to the point that I started hating Yoshio Akira and forgetting all about the plot, so I didn't expect myself to cry during the climax HAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK WHY WAS THIS STILL SO GOOD???? I'M ANNOYED I still hate it tho

I forgot just how painful this was. I'm at this point in my life where if that would happen to me, I would just LEAVE.

Anyway, onto the topic of the BLCD...

I didn't think it was going to be possible, but Shingaki really changed his Hara-san tone!!! Thank god! This is it! This was exactly the tone I envisioned his Hara-san would be in! I'm not sure if it's 'cause everyone from the producers (except the director) and the sound team was changed, but Tsunaida and Kanawanu are worlds apart. I usually dislike inconsistencies in series with multiple installments, but I'll let this slide. Let's all just pretend that Kanawanu doesn't exist.😌

Egu also went a pitch higher in this. It's still far from what I wanted for Kaoru, but he was able to make the role his own. I'm not sure if it's because of the change in the mixing, but Egu finally sounds like he was recording with everyone here. I said in my review for Kanawanu that he wasn't syncing with his own brother, Kakeru, and it turns out that Egu actually was voicing Kakeru too lmao. How can you not sync with yourself, man? But that just means that the mixing for Kanawanu was that bad. I haven't listened to Tabete mo Oishikuarimasen yet, but I feel like Egu and Shingaki should've been nominated for Tsunaida. I mean, Shingaki is a queen as Yashiro and his nomination is deserved, but let's all put those older series to rest now. 😂

I also missed Nakajiki as Keiji-san!!! He promised to bring Hiro along next time, so if I'm not hearing Saitou Souma in Musunda, I will riot! No, I didn't check the cast list.

The BLCD is pretty accurate to the manga, save for that extra bathroom sex in Track 2. It's quite long, but there isn't any complex dialogue, so I suggest just closing your eyes and absorbing the bathroom bambo. 😌 I actually wished it was longer toward the ending chapter because I felt that it was rushed in the manga, but alas. I've read Renta's license, and it's accurate as well. In conclusion, get this if you like the series. 100% recommend!

I mean, to be fair to Edmond, he isn't exclusively obsessed with sweets---he's an all-rounder gourmet that can identify like all the ingredients in a dish just by tasting it---PLUS, I'm assuming that the cookbook Yaku is reading isn't only for baked goods.

So, unless this cookbook is custom-made by/for Edmond personally, it probably won't be full of overly-sweet meals...😅

(Come to think of it, that would make a pretty good gift for Edmond, wouldn't it?)

2) WOAH, are you saying that ye olden people would EAT YOKAI MEAT??? 😱😱😱

If that's true, then that's pretty fucked up... Like, I know they're technically not humans, but they're pretty close. At the very least, their intelligence level is the same.

I'm no vegetarian, but eating something that you can fully communicate with just feels SO wrong. 😬😬😬😬😬

This interaction reminds me of the Chapter where the Wood Territory gets all fucked up, and when Rei says they need something ancient (like the tree in the Water Territory) Garu suggests Kuya. 😅

4) Oh? A ceremony, you say?

I bet it's some sort of tithing ceremony where they give food offerings to merfolk in exchange for, like, protection?

They seem to have a dramatically different view of yokai (at least, fish yokai) compared to, say, the tribe in the Wood Territory.

5) Okay, so I was basically correct; except rather than providing protection, the villagers believe that the merfolk bless their weather and crops catches.

6) Awwwww! Look at this cute lil' fellow!

(It's so disappointed to see the villagers being so mean to Yaku when he's just trying to help. Like, sure, I understand that you're wary of outsiders. But why do you have to be assholes to the outsiders? If anything, won't that just make the outsiders have less goodwill towards you???

It could create a self-fulfilling prophecy; They assume the outsiders are bad without any evidence -> they treat the outsiders like shit -> the outsiders repay that attitude with more unfriendliness

I know Eiden and Yakumo are too nice to treat the villagers as badly as they're being treated, but what it they weren't? It could've ending quite badly for this village.

I legit had the same sort of thought when I saw Kuya here.

Like, yeah, it's always nice when they reveal the story outfits. But pairing Kuya's pretty-ass outfit with the pretty-ass night sky and ocean??? That hit different.

hi! I really love your analyses on aquakane stuff, so ive been wondering- what do you think about the bridge scene? (past the stuff with aquas guilt- you know, because people elect to ignore it) a lot of fans point towards it to being why aqua and akane don’t work together/aren’t interested, but something feels off to me. wdyt?

I kind of have a lot of thoughts, so this will probably be a bit messy!

Things that stood out to me about this scene, in no particular order:

It confirms that Akane saw through Aqua and knew he wanted to use her for something. This is important because it shows that despite what Aqua may think, Akane didn't stay by his side because he "bind" her to him, but because she chose to. Even more important is the fact that what motivated Akane's choice is that she saw through him and into the kind person he actually is.

Right here Akane is telling him: I see you. I know that you can be manipulative and sly, but I also know that above all—you're kind. This is huge for someone like Aqua, who thinks so little of himself and who blows his own flaws out of proportion.

It's also kind of funny in a sad way, because by this point in the conversation, Aqua was expecting Akane to agree to break up with him. After all, he tried to convince her (and himself) that their relationship wasn't real, and Akane proceeded to list all the ways he was right. You can see in that bottom-right panel above that Aqua is closing himself off, expecting Akane to walk out of his life for good.

And then Akane turns the tables on him because to Aqua's surprise, she wants their relationship to be real. She knows the kind of person that he is, and she still wants to stay by his side.

The funniest thing about this scene though is that Akane, sweet, inexperienced summer child that she is, thinks that they can become a real couple if they're intimate with each other 😭

She knows that normal couples kiss and have sex, so she assumes that's where the problem lies. For her, Aqua wanting to "use" her is a non-issue because she's known and consented to it all along. This is why she looks so confused when Aqua says that he has been deceiving her:

Because as far as she's concerned, she's known Aqua's intentions from the get-go 😂 Little does she know that she isn't talking to your typical hormonal teenage boy, but to one who has the mind of an adult.

That said, I do think that the way Akane is fine being intimate with Aqua despite thinking that Aqua doesn't like her that way is an issue. Once again, this reflects what I mentioned before: Akane doesn't know her own worth! But again, this isn't a problem born out of Aqua and Akane as a dynamic, but an issue that Akane herself has.

Moving on, I think this is the first scene that shows that there's a difference in the amount of (romantic) experience that Akane and Aqua have. Usually, when Aqua and Akane have scenes, they're pretty much equals. You wouldn't say that one is mentally behind the other. In this case though, you can definitely see that Akane has an innocence to her that Aqua has already lost during his life as Goro, but that's to be expected. What's really important here though is that despite this difference, Aqua isn't any closer to understanding romantic love.

So in that regard, he and Akane are actually closer than one may expect.

Moving on, I think Aqua's and Akane's conversation there does give Aka an outing if he decides to go for platonic AquaKane. Ironically, this outing isn't there because of Aqua; at the contrary, Aqua's behavior there would help set up a romantic AquaKane ending.

First, we're shown that Aqua does want to keep Akane in his life, he just talks himself out of it because of his guilt complex.

We're even shown Aqua trying to convince himself (and Akane) that their relationship isn't real.

Now, this could all be perfectly platonic in nature, but we later have Aqua admitting that he has thought of being intimate with Akane.

So, Aqua wasn't trying to break up with Akane because of the way he felt for her, but because of his guilt and for Akane's sake.

Aqua thinks Akane doesn't have romantic feelings for him, and Akane herself doesn't seem to know if she does because he is her first boyfriend.

Of course, we know that Aqua and Akane find their answer during the trip and that they decide to date for real, which suggests that their feelings for each other are indeed romantic. However, nothing is stopping Aka from revisiting that and going: Actually, they thought they were/could be romantic, but they'd be perfectly fine being friends too. Specially because Akane wanting to save Aqua doesn't hinge on Akane being in love with him, and same goes for Aqua wanting to protect Akane.

The thing is, though: that doesn't mean that Aqua and Akane don't work well together. I feel that some people try to deny any romantic involvement between them not only to shoot them down as a ship, but to shoot their dynamic down all together. But that's a moot point because the series has made it very clear that Aqua and Akane love each other. Whether their feelings for each other are romantic or platonic is besides the point: there is love between them and it's sincere, and it won't be any less important if it turns out to be platonic in nature.

Case in point, the bridge scene is great because it shows their care for each other. Aqua tried to let Akane go for her own good, meanwhile Akane wants to stay by his side not only because of the way she may or may not feel for him, but because she sincerely wants to help him. She doesn't want Aqua to carry his burdens alone anymore.

Aqua appreciates this, and he opens up to her. She is the first person he shares his troubles with, and Akane lends him a listening ear and acknowledges how hard it must have been on Aqua. Aqua dealt with it on his own from the get-go and we never saw him complain, but it must have been hard on him and it's great to have someone acknowledge that even if he won't acknowledge it himself.

Everything he can tell Akane, he shares. From his findings, to his feelings.

And I think the panels above are the most important ones, because this is the moment when Akane starts to realize that Aqua has been lying to himself all along. He doesn't want to have revenge, he wants to be free. And in true Aqua fashion, now he is blinding himself to the very obvious loophole because he is that desperate to be free.

Akane gets this and she acts accordingly. Unlike Ichigo, who royally messes up by completely overlooking the fact that Aqua was desperately clinging to that loophole to break free.

Ichigo realizes it too late and he breaks Aqua. Akane wants to keep Aqua from breaking, so she plays along knowing that being free is what Aqua truly wants.

I'm stopping myself here because it feels like I've been rambling forever and I don't even know if this was half-way coherent or if it addressed what you wanted me to talk about anon, sorry about that! lol

This might be utter wishful thinking and stupidity on my part but:

In the Judas Kiss epilogue where MC has romanced Lincoln before leaving him for Matthias, we see there’s a lot of anger in Lincoln. Noah and Connor can see how angry he’s become and we see him with the waiter. But there’s a moment later where Lincoln begs MC to come back to him right before Noah shows up. He pleads with them and touches their face.

That little scene got me wondering, is Lincoln’s begging just a distraction for Noah or is there a part of him that genuinely wanted MC to return to him? Say that in an alternate universe, Judas Kiss MC regrets their choices and actually wants to atone. If MC had agreed to go with Lincoln or had begged for forgiveness in that scene, could they have been “forgiven” by Lincoln or was his rage so great that it was all just a ruse?

And if MC did want to atone, how would that look like? Would they even be allowed to live long enough to do so? Could anyone (especially Lincoln) ever trust them again and restart a friendship / relationship?

hmm i think that it was mostly a ruse in that scene, but i also think that there was some vulnerability and true emotion in there, too. like, i don't think lincoln was faking his grief when begging them to come back. i think part of him wishes they would, but if he would take them back if that actually did is another question entirely. he's very good at holding grudges, and what they did is a very difficult thing to forgive 😂

If mc had agreed, i think he would've been shocked and not really known what to do. like, he wasn't expecting it, you know? he didn't think that far ahead about what he'd do if they actually accepted. honestly i think he'd probably take them back to the group and leave to go be by himself and think things through. he'd probably come to the conclusion that he doesn't want to be a part of their atoning journey, not after what they did. i don't think he'd ever be able to forgive them. as for if they'd be allowed to live, i'm sure there'd be split opinions in that group but i think that they all seem to value human life, so if mc was acting truly contrite, they'd probably attempt a very closely monitored rehabilitation and only kill mc as a last resort. that said, that's just my personal interpretation and since it's not in the game it's honestly as valid as anyone else's!

Spy X Family Chapter 76

~*~ Warning: Contains spoilers for Chapter 76 of the manga! Open at your own risk, agents! ~*~

First of all, a slight break from the crushing angst was nice. After a whole bunch of stressful chapters, a little bit of fluff was in order.

It was nice to see, as I expected, that Twilight was worried, in his own quiet, overthinking way. He's not at the point yet to just absolutely break down and show his emotional side, but he shows he cares with his repeated concern for Anya's mental health as well as her physical well-being. I also noticed that during their breakfast conversation, he didn't once think "for the mission". We're making progress, people!

Also, he drives her to school! I can't imagine him letting her back on a schoolbus for quite a while after that whole ordeal.

I found it interesting that Anya has picked up that something is weird with Damian's family. Of course, she doesn't quite understand the depth of it, she's six. But she's noticed that something doesn't quite add up, and it stuck with her.

And then Twilight, the poor sap, misunderstands her pensiveness as her being mad at him for not picking her up. He has a remarkable ability to feel guilty for situations he wasn't involved in or things he would have no way to change. (Shh it's the trauma)

And there we have our first "for the mission" of this chapter 😂. Interestingly enough, it's not about her Stellas, or even her friendship with Damian. He's thinking that if she's traumatized, then the mission is in danger. And he's not wrong, but it's nice to see the "for the mission" directed at her well-being and nothing else.

And then we get the discussion between Henderson and the tutor-in-residence, which feels like the set-up for a longer plotline. Especially this gem:

Henderson continues his trend of being a Loid Forger fanboy, but to me this seems like an excellent way for Endo to start giving more and more plot-relevant clients to Loid Forger. Perhaps even Melinda or Donovan Desmond at some point? One can only hope.

And then we have this panel:

I notice that Jeeves says "residence" instead of "rooms" or something similar. It looks like Melinda lives in a completely different house most of the time, then. An interesting window into the Desmond home life, and one I didn't quite expect. I wouldn't have thought that Donovan would allow such a thing. For a man so concerned with the Desmond family name he doesn't seem to care if people think familial relations are strained.

Poor kiddo, no wonder he seems happier in the dorms. I get that Melinda has her own stuff to deal with, but after last chapter's drama and how she went on about cooking for Damian, I expected her to at least eat with him. It's another comparison drawn between the Forger family and the Desmond family: the Forgers are all present at breakfast, and openly voice their concern for Anya, while Melinda straight up leaves the building and Damian only finds out she cooked from Jeeves.

The scenes with the other kids swooning over Damian, Becky, and Anya are cute, and of course getting another Stella goes to Anya's head a little bit. "Double Starlight Anya", really? 😂

This one made me chuckle out loud. And that little smirk on her face 😂

And Becky calling it like it is:

Also some of these rich Eden kiddos really need to touch grass once in a while. "Peasants" are people just like everyone else, and it's slightly appalling how these kids think that class makes a biological difference. As they get older, that can easily turn into bigotry.

The whiplash of Anya and Damian getting along somewhat to fighting to getting along again to fighting again is such an accurate depiction of little kids' friendships. Ten minutes is long enough to start and finish two separate wars.

And then we get this cute panel at the end, which sums all of that up nicely.

In conclusion, the fluff was strong in this chapter, but it wasn't a filler chapter, per se. The fluff was plot-relevant and moved the story along, as well as making a nice change from the last several chapters.

I do have a sneaking suspicion that this reprieve from the angst will be a brief one. My hunch is that either the next chapter or the one after that will take a hard left turn back into angst territory. See ya in two weeks!

Angel had never been a morning person the way that you were. For a little while, he tried, but eventually came to the conclusion that it was no use. So when he'd woken up to an empty bed that morning, he wasn't surprised or worried, especially not when he could hear the faint sounds of the shower coming from down the hall. He knew that by the time the evening rolled around the roles would be reversed--you'd be passed out on the couch while he was still sitting next to you, wide awake and losing feeling in his arm because you were leaning against it cutting off the circulation.

By the time you were finished with your shower and dressed, he was already cooking. He'd never been a great chef, but he could handle breakfast. He could handle French toast without burning the house down.

Most of his focus was dedicated to the stove, but once he saw you out of the corner of your eye, swaying to a song that was only playing on the inside of your head, he couldn't help but to let himself get a little distracted. He could barely hear the sound of the blender in the background as he watch you on the brink of dancing. The smile that stretched across his face was involuntary, one that almost made his face hurt because of how much happiness and love was bubbling up in his chest, even if he hadn't figured out how to tell you that yet.

"What?" your voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

Shaking his head, he still couldn't tone down his smile as he said, "Nothin’. Just, you look so happy with your fruits over there, that’s all."

He was perfectly content to listen to the laugh you let out at his statement. He was able to divert enough of his attention to you and the smoothie you'd made him, strayed from the stove just long enough to try it and figure out that he liked it before going back to cooking. Even when he wasn't looking at you anymore, he still joked with you, gave you grief about leaving him out of the smoothie loop for so long, making it seem like you were keeping some grand secret from him.

"Pineapple is good for you, you know," you told him.

He laughed at the seemingly obvious statement, feeling like maybe you were just getting on his case for never eating healthy foods. "Isn't all fruit good for you?"

"Yea, but..." you trailed off, which got him to spare a look over at you just long enough to see the confusion on your face. "Do you not know what they say about pineapple?"

He didn't. He had no fucking clue what people said about pineapple. He couldn't hide that from the expression on his face, either. "The fuck do they say about pineapple?"

You laughed, not in a way that was mocking, but just in amusement. "Google it later."

He shook his head as he looked back at the stove, taking the last of the food off of it and killing the flame. He didn't say it out loud, but all he could think was "I WILL Google it later."

After breakfast, when the two of you had decided what you were doing with your day, Angel watched you disappear out of the kitchen and head towards the bedroom to get changed. The second you were completely out of sight, he instantly pulled out his phone and opened up Google.

He frowned in thought as he typed out, "what do they say about pineapple?" He felt utterly ridiculous, but he was too curious now to bail on finding out. Part of him was expecting to see a bunch of search results talking about vitamins and clear skin and whatever the fuck else people always said fruits could do for you.

What he wasn't expecting was the first article in the search results to be titled, "Here's the Truth About Pineapples and Oral Sex". His eyes nearly popped completely out of his skull as he clicked on it. He was skimming over the article, already charging to the other end of the house to find you as he did.

"Babe!" He all but threw himself into the room and across the bed to reach you and put the screen of his phone uncomfortably close to your face. "Is this true?"

He saw the way that you were fighting back your laughter, shoulders trembling with effort, but you weren't denying it. He felt like there was so much that he was supposed to be doing with this newly-found information, but he didn't know what.

Tossing his phone onto the bed, he grabbed your shoulders, looking dramatically into your eyes as he said, "We need to buy every pineapple at the store today. I’ll eat a whole one every day."

He could tell by the look on your face that you thought he was exaggerating, but he really was ready and willing to figure out how to eat a whole pineapple every day without losing his mind. He moved his hands so that he was cupping your face instead. "It's for science, querida. We gotta do our research."

You just laughed, nodded, and gave him a kiss as you agreed with him. When you returned to the task of getting dressed, he turned and quickly snatched his phone off the bed, opening up the group chat he had with the rest of the guys in the club and dropping the link to the article into it.

He sent the follow-up text, "You guys see this shit? 🍍=👍🏻🍆??"

He vaguely heard you ask the question about what he was doing. His eyes were still glued to his phone, watching the three little dots appear as everyone started typing out their replies. "Puttin' this shit in the group chat. The guys gotta know about this."

He could hear you laughing at the lot of them, but he was too busy watching all of the replies come in one after the other.

Coco: "I don't buy it. Old wives tale."

Gilly: "Too bad pineapple sucks bro 🙄"

EZ: "You guys just figuring this out? 😂"

Gilly: "Too bad you still can't get fuckin laid boy scout"

Angel shook his head at all of them as he replied to all of them in one fell swoop, "Losers. I'll let yall know after i get my dick sucked FOR SCIENCE. 👍🏻🍆🍍"

a. Finish a book, even when you dislike the mc until the end but love the story (What book?)

d. Finish a book, even when you dislike the mc, story, worldbuilding but still finish it for whatever reason (what book?)

Since it's the internet, I feel compelled to put up a disclaimer for this kind of question first before answering:

If I happen to dislike something you like, it doesn't mean I'm badmouthing your favorites; we just happen to have different preferences. I'm not going to entertain any questions or statements through whatever channels that are criticizing me for liking or not liking certain things. Thank you for your understanding."

Now, with that already out of the way...

a. Harry Potter. I think this is caused by my age when I first knew about it, and my age when I actually read the original book.

I got into HP through the first movie, which was in 2001, so I was in 3rd or 4th grade at the time, and I kept following the movies until the final one in 2011. I've always loved fantasy stories because I grew up reading a lot of fairy tales, so it wasn't hard for me to instantly fell in love with HP.

That said, I didn't have the money to buy the book back then. I was able to purchase the books much later when I was almost 30 years old. When I read it, I actually didn't like the main character (and some other characters) that much, even though I didn't have that problem at all when following the movies in the past. Later, I realized it's because I could no longer relate to a lot of the characters' emotions and logics because the books are originally meant for young audience and I was simply too old to relate to the characters at this age. 😂

b. I couldn't come up with any titles even though I'm pretty sure there must be at least one or two. I'm the kind of person who "characters > story" so even though the story may not be as good, as long as I like the characters, I usually would still be able to enjoy it until the end.

c. TGCF. Rather than dislike, I think I probably went into it with too much expectation in my head that when it's not like what I imagined it to be, the entire experience ends up feeling underwhelming.

I've read SVSS and MDZS, and I love both of them. So when I saw a lot of people hyping up TGCF, I imagined it would be more "WOAH" than the first two, especially because I also got art-baited by STARember's manhua illustrations. That said, I do like several characters other than the main characters (I ship FengQing and QuanYin) and I always love MXTX's worldbuilding since they're so vivid and amazing to explore.

(And if I have extra money this year, I'm still gonna complete my San Lang cosplay because I've already cosplayed Luo Binghe and Lan Wangji, and my OCD definitely isn't gonna let me leave out the last one, lmao).

d. Guardian/Zhen Hun by Priest.

Ironically, Priest is my favorite danmei author but even though a lot of my favorite danmei are written by her, the danmei I don't like the most is also hers. 😂

I really don't know if it's because the fan-translation I read wasn't pretty clear in translating the stories or not (I mean, I can't complain about it since I'm reading for free), but I just can't bring myself to like any of it, the story, the characters, the world, until the final page.

The reason why I finished it is because I don't want to to jump to early conclusions before actually reading the whole thing. Unfortunately, my impression of it does not improve even after finishing the story.

aaaAaaaa!! Can I just say every time I see your name it makes me so happy!!

I'll try and offer some thoughts below the cut ~

I thought I had a problem with abusing the Fade to drive parts of the story, but I am extremely relieved that that doesn't seem to be a problem! I suppose in my defense, with Mao and Solas being Pre-Veil denizens, Fade stuff is unavoidable lol. I think flashbacks in the Fade are my favourite thing to write because of just how easily it can toss the plot on its head. The Fade is alive in my version of DA and the possibilities are endless!

I think it's actually impossible for me to talk on any specific published chapter because I get carried away too easily and it is a tad overwhelming due to the story's length, so...perhaps instead a little about what's coming? The supply of Fade-diving and flashbacks in the future have yet to run dry bahaha.

Most recently I wrote something that I should keep quiet about but I'm dying to share! As vague as I be, I wasn't expecting to go into was the ancient history of Enso in the main story. I had always planned to write it as a separate entry so I could spend more time with plot-irrelevant details (I still might). There was also this little part of me that wanted to keep Maordrid's beginning vague (as in, I haven't stated whether she was Fade-born or Elven-born and I never will reveal that, I want people to draw their own conclusions), and there was also deciding whether to give Enso more of a form or leave the horrors up to the reader's imagination.

Despite all of that hemming and hawing, it became necessary to explore Enso with Maordrid's impending 'curse' (and then some), so…it found its way into the story and I'm SUPER excited about who is involved in it and what it means for her. Like, even with the wild origin that is emerging for her, she still remains tiny - neither a hero nor a villain, nor someone who has really left any real mark in history. Everyone else flows around her like this river of change and she sort of gets buffeted around, sometimes she is carried into the darker currents, loses her way, and so on.

That's not the only thing of course! I've honestly just been excited about the story since Chapter 111/Falon'Din's Shadow because I feel like that's where Maordrid's character really began emerging (it only took 110 chapters lol)...and all the following character interactions as well. At least for me it has been so much fun to write.

I've neglected to mention the others here, like Dhrui & Asmodei, or even Dhrui and upcoming Abelas, Yin, or any of characters with lesser roles...but they all make me very excited! I just know myself 😂if I try to talk about any of them this will end up being over a thousand words sjkfhfjk

Love the slow build up, the change between past and present with its little hints, it’s clear to see you had a plan all along and we’re moving towards it step by step (some professional writers should really take notes). The smut is *chef’s kiss*, and it’s a testimony to the quality of your writing and tension building, when after all that, the parts that leave the biggest marks are the nanomoments of intimacy and tenderness. I got all caught up on Black Butler and sustained emotional damage. What a roller coaster! Snake was one of my favorite characters. I'm so sad! I hope Yana Toboso will add a scene where him and the circus crew are happily together in the afterlife. But I don't know if it'll happen, since they WERE kidnapping children. Sure, they didn't WANT to, but even though they were following orders, they were still doing something that they knew was wrong. Not to mention the guy they were working for was connected to the people who tortured Ciel and his brother.

But Snake wasn't involved!😫 He deserved to live!!!😫😫😭😭😭

I'm 1000% sure they're gonna bring him back as a living corpse. But he might choose to help Ciel out in the end. I'm certain Madame Red and Agni are gonna reappear, too.

Speaking of Ciel and his brother, we still haven't found out his real name. I've been calling him "Not Ciel," but I, for one, wanna know what his name is. They're probably gonna show us when he dies and the Shinigami do their stamp thing. I hope it's not Sirius. I'm not sure how I feel about this whole "bait and switch, he has a twin," storyline to begin with, but I feel like Sirius would be too much in a way.

I bet the Undertaker is not an actual villain. Like the whole Itachi situation. He was giving Ciel some kind of serum in his sleep too, wanna bet it's some kind of medicine or protection of some sort? Or maybe he's preparing to turn him into a living corpse, too? What if Sebastian eats his soul but the boy is still walking around? How would that work? And since the Undertaker was a shinigami, can he actually PREVENT Sebastian from eating his soul?

I feel like the Undertaker may be trying to protect the Phantomhives. Something tells me he was in love with Ciel's father, I just kinda get that vibe, but I could be wrong, though.

I wish Snake didn't die. What's gonna happen to all his snakes now?☹️ And what about Soma? I feel like with the way he's acting, he may end up summoning a demon of his own. But I don't know what would happen if the series went in that direction.

Psych House got axed.😔 But it wrapped up nicely, and wasn't dragged out too long, either. No unnecessary twists and turns, and everything was explained enough. There were no unanswered questions.

Fool ended too, but that had to end, the gags were getting ridiculous. I liked the last chapter a lot, though. Addressed the situation in a gag manga kinda way, tied us back to the beginning, and even managed to make us feel hopeful for the characters. I feel the ending was done well.

Shiba Inu Rooms is getting interesting! I didn't expect Mu to manage to leave the room. With this development, I think it will hold on to the readers' interest, and we'll see it develop longevity because of this. There's so many things that we can explore now with Mu's new situation.

I really like Rugby Rumble. I can't believe I'm reading a sports manga.😂 From the beginning, no less. But I like it. It manages to hold my interest every week and even has me on the edge of my seat at times. I LOVE the artwork, too. Stylish and practical. I also love how the sports games aren't dragged on for super long, sure we have to wait for the next week to see what happens, but the pacing is really good, and it doesn't feel like you waited that long at all. Each chapter manages to be satisfying, too. Of course, there isn't a conclusion in each chapter, but we still get some questions answered, which keeps us satisfied regardless, and it keeps the plot at a really good pace. I'm really happy with Rugby Rumble, I think it's super well done.

I've read a few chapters of Gokuragai. I like it, but you can feel that stale shonen jump formula in it. The artwork is top-notch, a treat to look at, really, and I find myself reading it for just that alone. The characters are all super likable so far. In fact, nothing I've read in it has pushed me away yet. It's just...kinda forgettable since it's so shonen standard. I can see it getting an anime and probably becoming one of the next big three in the future.

I like Ichi the Witch. The art is a little cluttered for me, but I can deal with it. It's from the same writer as Iruma-kun, which I LOVE. No doubt Shueisha saw that success and went to try and get some of it for themselves. I personally want it to do well because I like it, and I want the creator of Iruma-kun to have more success. I want this to become a big three, especially since I read it from the start.😊

Shinobi Undercover is cool. It just came out today. It's likable and fun, and I don't have any complaints yet. I like the dynamic between the boy and the person he's communicating with, really funny, really baka/straight man scenario. The other two who were trying to get close to the girl were laying it on too thick, though. Just really unnatural how they were trying to make it normal, and it was kinda cringe. Also, having an organization PLAN out who your boyfriend and best friend are sounds awful! When she (inevitably) finds out, she's gonna feel like her whole life is a lie(and she already has a hunch)! It's gonna hurt when she finds out the boy is in the organization, too. I feel like this is also a big three contender. I hope the story remains interesting.
