Do you ever just think about how awful it is to be a demigod before you know about it?
I've been thinking about it a lot lately. How much demigod kids and teenagers don't fit in with mortal society. Their mortal parents don't know what to do with them, even if they do care for them immensely. They are labeled as troublemakers, as bad kids, as mentally ill, as freaks and monsters who see things they shouldn't see and have an aversion to authority that they shouldn't have and a strong sense of justice and an inability to sit still, read, play, act, feel normally. Percy got in trouble for getting into fights, for speaking impulsively, he was mocked and spoken down to and expelled from lots of schools who couldn't handle him and he didn't know why until he was twelve years old. Sally wasn't able to tell him why.
Annabeth was the product of her father's relationship with a goddess, and he loved her for a while, but she wasn't a normal kid. When he fell in love with a mortal and Annabeth didn't get along with her or her kids, he chose the mortal side. How could he understand Annabeth's side? She was just a badly behaved kid, while his new wife and children were the normal good ones.
Jason always knew he was a demigod, he was accepted and praised and tons of expectations were placed on him from a frighteningly young age. Part of the reason the others resent him and see him as a sort of golden child is because he was placed on a pedestal and he will never, ever know what it was like for all of his friends to be looked down on as children, to be scolded for things they didn't understand and told that the things they saw and experienced constantly were not real.
Piper was always loved by her father but I think he loved the idea of her, he loved that she reminded him of the beautiful woman he met years ago. He was always kind to her and usually gave her things she wanted, but he couldn't always spend time with her as his job got busier. Piper sensed that her father's attention was occupied by something else, and as he got busier, she felt less supported and stole things and got in fights and her dad didn't know what to do with her after the BMW so she was sent to a troubled teen program where she was bullied for her disabilities and her race.
Leo feared his power because it killed the person he loved the most, and after that, everything in his life was hell. He didn't feel safe anywhere, he didn't have anyone he could trust, and adults saw him as a troublemaker who would never amount to anything.
The books don't emphasize these things as much with any of the other demigods, or maybe Annabeth, Percy, Piper, and Leo are the best examples we have. I just. They're so tragic. They're all my children all of them. I love them and I feel so sad for them

Undyne and Alphys are away for a week and so they leave their child to the skeletons. The kid took everything after Undyne/US Alphys and can't stop putting themselves in danger. How goes the week?
Undertale Sans - That's fine. No that's not. He wanted the kid to spend their energy outside the house after they broke the literal table in the living room, so he took them to the park. Except now they're gone. He stopped watching them for ten seconds to answer a text and now they're not here anymore. Sans is freaking out, teleporting from place to place at a crazy speed to find them, but they're just gone. As he's mentally trying to convince himself to call Undyne and tell her the news, he spots the child in a tree, clearly very amused by how fast he gave up. He swears they're going to give him a soul attack.
Undertale Papyrus - "YES UNDYNE JUNIOR I CAN SEE YOU EATING ROCKS. ONE IS ENOUGH THOUGH. NO! NO, DON'T DO IT! NO!" And that's how Papyrus ended up at the hospital at 3 a.m. after his niece filled their stomach with rocks. Papyrus can't wait for their mothers to come home. He likes children, but that is no child. That's a walking health hazard.
Underswap Sans - He thought he could tire them by jogging in the park. But that's three hours now and the kid is still not tired. Actually, they're as good as new. Him on the other hand is pretty sure he's about to pass out from exhaustion any second. You know it's bad when even Blue can't keep up with you.
Underswap Papyrus - The worst mistake of his life was to ask the kid to cook with him. He doesn't know what happened, but now his kitchen looks like a crime scene. There's chocolate everywhere, even on the ceiling, and now his oven is making weird scary noises like it's about to explode. The worst part is that he has no energy left to clean that mess. Please someone save him.
Underfell Sans - He's losing it. He hates Undyne to begin with and he doesn't know why he said yes, but added to that, her kid is horrible with him. He swears Undyne told them to disrespect him because there's no way they're not a bully to him on purpose. His life is hell, the kid is not listening to him at all and at this point, he doesn't care if something bad happens to them. Except he does because Undyne is going to kill him otherwise. That's the longest week of his life, he's never doing that again.
Underfell Papyrus - Edge is not safe. He feels unsafe in his own home. The kid won't stop attacking him randomly. So far he has three serious bites on his arms and ankles and got stabbed three times in the back. He complains to Undyne every evening, but Undyne just laughs at his face saying he can't possibly lose against a six-year-old kid. But she doesn't understand. That's not a kid. That's a shark. He's scared he might lose a finger feeding them. They know he's scared of them. Please. He wants this to end.
Horrortale Sans - A kid showed up randomly one day saying they're Undyne's child they left Underground and they want their revenge. Oak slammed the door in their face and went back to sleep lol. Yep, he's not dealing with that.
Horrortale Papyrus - That's not Undyne's kid. He's pretty sure of it. First, where did Undyne get a kid Underground? And second... They're not blue? And Undyne is dead? Is he homing a random monster child only out of guilt? Who's that kid anyway? Wait, but wouldn't Undyne lay eggs? Uh. Maybe they're really her child and just hatched when they left? But who's the other parent? Can Undyne use parthenogenesis??? He's pretty sure Alphys died in the first two years of the famine? Willow is having an existential crisis. Surely Toriel is old enough to know if fish monsters lay eggs. That's going to be an interesting conversation.
Swapfell Sans - He's having a mental breakdown. First, he found out the kid is nocturnal. Except he works really hard during the day, and would love to sleep during the night you know. But apparently, they don't know that. Next, they thought it would be fun to transform his couch into a hedgehog by planting hundreds of spears in it. And now they have replaced his coffee with paint and his precious baby coffee machine is not working anymore, which means he turned into a grumpy old man all day. Nox will never recover from this he thinks.
Swapfell Papyrus - Rus is desperate. Ok, Rus wanted them to sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor because he kinda forgot they needed to sleep. But that's not a reason to completely block him the entrance to his own room. Rus tried everything to get them out: promising to go to Disneyland, eat fast food for the rest of the week, and even for him to sleep in the sleeping bag, but the kid won't come out of his room, which is now locked. Rus doesn't know what to do anymore. He has been defeated.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He never wanted to take care of that demonic child in the first place so it's not his fault. By that I mean he kinda threw the kid in a dog house outside out of rage and let them spend the night there. The kid thought it would be fun to go into his closet and cut all his handmade clothes with scissors. Wine did all he could to not kill them and decided to put them outside for their own safety. He feels so mad every time he looks at them now. The worst part is that they clearly don't regret anything, even taunting him from the window. Wine is holding his murderous instincts so bad he's shaking. He holds them back for when Alphys will come back. He's going to kill Alphys he thinks. He needs to evacuate the pressure somehow.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - So the kid found out Coffee spends a lot of time in the closet in his room... And so they put a padlock on it, locking him inside. Coffee is having a panic attack, banging on the doors and screaming for help, completely forgetting he can just teleport out of here. Once free, Coffee refuses to tell the kid a word and lets Wine take care of them. He doesn't like them he decided.

Sumary: When Levi was forced to join the Survey Squad, he left someone behind, someone who had grown to hate him since then...
(Levi was forced to join the Survey Squad by Erwin, that's also why I don't like the ship Eruri [I love both, but together it's just toxic])
Pairing: Levi x fem! Reader
Warnings: Mention of abusive childhood, many traumas (bullying, mental abuse,...), angst, hurt
Years have passed since you last saw him. The guy you grew up with, and the guy who betrayed you.
Growing up was hard for both of you. You had more luck with the standard of the family, but still, your life was hard. Being the kid of two people who hated each other and only communicated by yelling and fighting wasn't exactly a good place for a child.
People around you always found something to mock and bully you. Kids your age were the worst. Except for him, you met Levi when you were forced to go to a club with your so-called father.
He never stopped drinking, so you just went to search for a silent corner to wait till this horror was over. But the only place that was at least a little bit calm was occupied with a dark-haired slim boy.
"Family problems?", you asked him.
"Something like that," he awnserd, and you silently walked towards and sat beside him.
"Wanna talk?,"
He shook his head for a 'No', which you totally got. You also wouldn't want to tell a literal stranger your deepest and darkest secrets, but on the other hand, letting it out would be better. It seemed like your whole life purpose was to hold the burdens of your family, no matter if you could take it or not.
"What's your name? I'm (Y/n). My siblings wanted that to be my name. It's ugly. I know,"
"Levi," he awnserd short and quietly.
"You know, my father is a lot here. It would be nice to have someone here I could spend my time with. Would you mind?",
He just blinked, which you got as a sign that he didn't care. But you weren't someone to give up just like that. Otherwise, you might have never managed to survive.
Breaking the ice was hard when it came to this boy, but after a few times of being there, he even told you that he actually liked your name and thought it was pretty. A little while after that, you caught him crying because some neighbor kids made fun of him (this was before his mother died, so he didn't know how to defend himself cause no Kenny). Those weren't new for you. They also constantly mocked you.
"Hey! Three against one? You're cowards!" After you managed to distract them from Levi, you tricked them into believing you went home when you really went to search for your friend.
You found him leaning onto a brick wall and sat beside him in silence.
"Thanks, but why did you do that?",
"Because it's OK if they make fun of me, but not if they make fun of my friends. I don't care what they do to me. I look out for you. And I know you look out for me. That's what friends are there for,"
Since that incident, nothing parted you guys. You even switched your birth necklaces to show that you were connected. But everything good must come to an end.
When his mother died, you didn't see him for weeks, so when you went to look for him, you met his uncle Kenny. You both pep him up again, and since your family didn't care about you, you decided to be with Levi since he needed someone after losing his mother.
Kenny taught you how to defend and provide for yourself, but that was it. He left you when you had learned it all.
"Even if he's gone now, we still have each other. Nothing really bad can happen to us as long as we have each other,"
It was you. Always you. You were the one who comforted him when he had to deal with shit. You were there for him to fix what society broke. And even after you allied with others, you two were the closest. No one could come in between.
That's what you thought.
After your team took Isabel in, you thought it would only become better. She even called Levi, her big brother, to his annoyance. It was like a sting right to your heart. But Isa didn't know what you both had gone through together, so you felt guilty of feeling this way. Besides her seeing him like her brother, didn't mean you were replaced! Your bond was stronger than that of siblings or lovers. Once you swore to never let anything part you, you'd never be separated, never.
Until one order changed everything.
You thought it was the Military Squad, but nope, it was the Survey Squad. You were the only one who managed to get away. But you watched from a distance how a soldier pushed Levi into a puddle of mud that had the consistency of water. Hell for him...
But when you went to go closer to hear what they were saying. You only heard Levis annoyed:"I'll join the Survey Squad."
A punch into your guts. He'd leave the underground. He'd leave you! Breaking the promise HE made you. And for joining a squad?!
You weren't someone who cried. When your whole body was covered in bruises because of a fight that didn't go as planned, no tear. Your family yelling and insulting you, no sob. But now your eyes became watery, and your vision blurry. It felt as if you were suffocated. Breathing was almost impossible.
As if the whole ground you believed to be steady and safe just tore open to devour you.
No, you wouldn't cry! Not because of him and especially not while still seeing him.
A few weeks after that, you luckily met Kenny again. It was more like he found you.
Since that scene, it was like you had to go through every trauma you experienced again, but this time on your own without someone at your side. Kenny told you of his new job at the Military Squad and that he could need a tough girl like you.
Training and years in hiding. That was your whole life from then on. With nothing on your mind, then to finally throw this damn birth necklace of him away. It was your kind of connection, your bond, after all.
Allying with the man that once left you and him. Just to tell humanitys strongest soldier one thing.
And finally, the day came. The Survey Squad decided to turn against the Military Squad. And that was your and Kenny's time.
Fighting your way to his side, just to slowly rip his birth necklace off your neck, look at him with disgust, and throw it into a mud puddle before his feet. With one word on your lips.

Single Dad Simon Riley
A request for Single Dad Simon from @buzzyb33 I hope this is what you wanted, I kinda just went with what my monkey brain came up with.
SINGLE DAD SIMON
Single Dad Simon has twins. A boy who is docile, shy and hides behind Simon's legs around new people. His daughter is bold and boisterous. Sometimes he swears she almost bounces off of the walls. Their mother has been out of the picture since not long after they were born, she pays child support but has otherwise severed all parental support and interactions with the twins. The boy twin is named Theo and the girl is April. The names are the only two things their mother left them with.
Single Dad Simon used to hate her for abandoning their children but in time he accepted it as being the best. Forcing her to stay would likely have just hurt the kids more. Simon gave up his career in the military to take care of his kids and be a present father. He works as a plumber, a pretty good one at that. He makes enough money to provide for his kiddos and put money aside for emergencies and/or their futures. He wants to have enough money put away for them if they decide to go to university. Giving up his career was difficult but it had to be done, he was all they had and he wants to give them a childhood so much better than his own.
Single Dad Simon finds being a dad almost as stressful as being in the SAS and doing all that sort of thing. Raising the twins on his own through their infancy to toddlerhood was mentally and physically exhausting. There were nights when both of the twins were teething, would not go to sleep and just kept screaming where he felt like running away. But he never did of course, our Simon aint a quitter ESPECIALLY when it comes to his kids.
Single Dad Simon is still in contact with 141, they come to visit when on leave. Soap and Gaz like to spoil the twins. April LOVES uncle Soap. She calls him a "pretty princess". She also makes takes Gaz, Soap and Theo out into the garden where she likes to play construction work barbie, digging up the garden and making "roads" for her and her brothers cars. Theo, the sweet little boy really opens up around Price. Something about Price brings out his bolder side. He's always tackle hugging Price and asking lots of questions about the cool planes and other vehicles he's been in. Neither of the twins really believe that their father was big and tough like their uncles. Simon honestly prefers that they don't believe that he was a big bad military man, he tries to keep as much of his personal military career from them.
Single Dad Simon who frets when the twins first go to primary school and after school care. He doesn't like being away from them for such long periods of time, deep down he knows that they will be just fine and they will be safe but the other part of him frets terribly. What if they get bullied? What if they hurt themselves? What if they get mean teachers? After the first year he calms down considerably with his worries but there is a side of him that will never relax and be wary for danger.
Single Dad Simon who finds himself getting lonely as the kids settle into school life and his business does well. He finds himself wishing for romantic companionship and a feminine influence for his children. He worries that only having military men for family will stunt their mental growth. He promises himself to open himself up to the possibility of meeting someone new.
When Single Dad Simon does find someone he clicks with, he doesn't hide that he has kids and is a single parent. But he makes clear that it will take an extended period of time before he introduces them to her. He needs to be sure that he can trust her around them. If she already knows them through some outside of school place, like the bakery they always go to on Sunday or the Librarian at the library where the after school program is held, he will be less wary of having her in their private lives but will still TAKE HIS TIME.
Single Dad Simon is a good dad. He struggles with the stress and isolation sometimes but he has 141 as his brothers and maybe one day soon he might have a lady in his life who will welcome his kids and him with open arms into her own life.

Azul-Yutu Thoughts 0.1
Concept stuff for Azul-Yutu as based around @yuri-is-online's world building. Go read their stuff, it's good.
As dictated by canon, this guy is big, brawny, and absolutely has more brain going on than people realize on first look. He's a little salty that people keep having the worst assumptions about him but he's also reluctantly pleased because it means they underestimate him. Much like dear ol' dad Azul, he adores getting the last laugh.
Unlike Azul, however, if shit's going sideways, he's going down with the ship and taking everyone else with him. Azul might bail if the losses are stacking up too high- better to live to plot another day and cut his losses, especially when the losses are a single limb and staying might mean being eaten up by your resident shark mers entirely.
Yutu had fewer choices; upon being dropped into Twisted Wonderland and having the spectacular shit show that is The Bad Future sprung upon him, he didn't have the option to leave. For Yutu, it was stick it out or die and Yuu put too much love into raising him for Yutu to anything less than paddle for his life in this sink-or-swim situation. He's part mer now, call it instinct.
(Yutu is more stubborn than a rock and he loathes being told to sit down and shut up by anyone less than Yuu. If this world wants him dead, by the seas he'll live on in the name of spite alone. He refuses to give up even though he can't really see a way out of this shit situation and his future is bleak.)
Ends up in Savannaclaw for his tenacity and everyone is either nodding their head about their assumptions being proven true or utterly shocked because this is Azul's child, hello?? Yutu ends up a little frustrated again because seriously, what's with all the assumptions when these people don't actually know him.
He ends up getting into a lot of fights his first week and it's a bloody war of attrition that grinds Yutu down a lot. He doesn't let it show on his face but he's really, really tired by the end of it. Still, due to his efforts he gains the respect of the dorm and that lets him set up into chess-maneuvering his way to a better set of circumstances.
Yutu has a really hard time making friends at first, in part because he's too focused on getting used to this new world and in part because he's too used to bullies and always being in guard to get close to others.
Gets his unique magic about a month in when he was mentally envisioning punching one of his more persistent annoyances in Savannahclaw in the face. He was very surprised when a jolt of magic was ripped from him as if he had been punched in the gut and the other guy went tumbling backwards, having been, you know, punched in the face by a tentacle of cosmic magic.
Eventually does end up with friends, to his initial chagrin.
A beefy Savannahclaw second year who kept trying to 'show him his place' but lost every fight is first. Yutu shoving him down into the dirt and listing every way he went wrong about this particular attack and how Yutu would have done it better but hasn't yet because he's so 'benevolent'? Yeah, that kinda dragged out the guy's latent respect for Yutu and now he has a big beefy minion of his very own. Yutu doesn't trust him for a while and has no clue why this guy is following him around but when he reveals he wants to be Yutu's disciple in the way of ass-kicking-through-brain, Yutu kinda goes '!!!' Then he puts the guy through hell to see if he really means it, finally achieving mutual respect after three weeks. The pair play Guess Who using the students around them as characters as practice reading people. It's fun. :) To simplify, let's call him Sav.
The next two minions are a pair of siblings: one a second year, one first year, both hummingbird beastmen from Heartslabyul. They're tricksy and annoying and have a grand old time rules-lawyering the heck out of Heartslabyul's many rules. They'd gotten bored and had decided to make Yutu their next mark for a prank, which ended poorly for all involved. (Mutually assured destruction, plus a couple cauldrons as collateral damage. Crewel wasn't pleased.) Second year wanted to be done with the mess but first year has gotten it into his head that the incident made him and Yutu friends now. Second year tagged along to keep his younger sibling out of trouble (he didn't trust Yutu not to fling his brother into another wall) and ended up being the reluctant voice of reason. He 100% hates his life, he wants to go back to playing pranks and slacking off now. (No he doesn't, he's just going grey from worry over Yutu and company.) We'll call the first year Fior and the second year Thrush.
The last of the group is an excitable mousy-looking guy, very short and nerdy, a first year from Ignihyde. Thinks Yutu has main character energy; wants to be part of his 'five man band' and he's already specced himself into the role of white mage so he's perfect for them! C'mon, pleeeaaassseee? Yutu is deeply weirded out that this guy is literally asking to be used and that in the literal apocalypse he thinks his life is too boring. Still, he's not one to look a gift horse in the mouth so he takes him on. The hero worship for Yutu between this guy and Sav is something the Heartslabyul first year, Fior, finds very funny. We'll call this guy Morry.
First time they run into an overblot monster is on a field trip that their combat and field first aid professor has planned. It was supposed to be a jaunt down to the abandoned dwarf mines for training against the penned up blot monster inside (it'd been weakened considerably by time since Yuu and company had last fought it).
However, it'd rained a lot the night before, which had weakened the rock blocking it into the cave. Agitated by the presence of the school group, it breaks through the barrier and goes on the attack. The professor is quick to drop the rocks on the monster's head and it squishes into multiple puddles. Thinking that the problem is solved, the professor turns his back only for the puddles to rise up into several miniature blot monsters, one of which jumps him to knock him out. This hydra-like effect is how the blot monster had kept reappearing, despite Yuu and company killing it twice years prior (once in the prologue, once at Vargas camp).
The students split off to fight and Yutu grabs his first year friends, Morry and Fior, to run for the treeline where they can't get attacked from behind. He then starts fighting back, mind caught halfway between panic mode and being tactical. He thinks he'll have to convince his buddies to do what he says but nope, Fior and Morry are actually worryingly eager to take his orders. Morry in particular is treating this like a video game and Yutu like the one with the controller, which Fior finds funny.
The three settle into a rough pattern of Yutu staying stationary and acting like a turret, calling attention to himself, Fior running in to backstab at close range, and Morry covering his retreat while Yutu sets up the next big blast. It works surprisingly well but Yutu knows the monster will come back if it's not destroyed properly, and hit and run tactics won't work for that.
He gets Fior to jab it full of flora magic while he and Morry pin it (Yutu tests the limit of his cosmic magic tentacles and finds out the hard way that it's based on his physical strength.) Then, using the flora magic as a wick, he sets the monster alight, upping the temperature with wind magic from Morry such that the monster burns down to almost nothing.
It's a very cool moment... And then Yutu, Morry, and Fior look around and realize that there's a lot more monsters and not all of their classmates are faring as well as they did. NRC attitude strikes again and way too many people are trying to solo their own personal bosses, which is going poorly. The trio's hearts sink and fear begins to catch up with Yutu and Fior as they realize this isn't a climactic battle, it's a war of attrition. They blew a lot of their power and hyped themselves up when they weren't even close to done.
Morry convinces Yutu and Fior to keep going, giving them a transfusion of magic with his Unique Magic, which is themed around Tantalus. It gives his power to others, thus fulfilling their needs, but it can never heal or replenish all the way- it's never enough. Worse yet, using it is addictive for both the receivers and the caster, so it's something Morry has to be very careful with.
It does give Yutu and idea though and he gets Morry and Fior on board with it quickly: they aggro all the monsters by running by and slinging spells at them, then shout taunts at the other students about how they're gonna kill the monsters before they will and other insults about being weak. They then converge so all the monsters are herded together and the enraged students cast their spells at the same target.
That much magic all together is enough to explode the blot monsters properly and Morry collapses with a cheer. Fior and Yutu share a look, then Yutu admits to being displeased with the results as that was way too close for comfort. Fior gives a little bit of a lore dump, explaining that blot monsters are a serious threat that they all train to defeat. As students, they aren't supposed to be fighting the monsters, but as living beings in a world out to kill them, they'll likely have to. Fior admits that he's glad Yutu was with him and at this point, Yutu blows his top and demands to know why Fior and Morry were so eager to follow him.
See, Yutu knows he's not well liked. He's got several latent self esteem issues compounded on the fact that his rise to prominence in Savannahclaw marked him as a threat, not a friend. People do what he says because he gives them no other choice, what made Morry and Fior follow his plans? They nearly died!
At this point, Morry sits up and points out that they didn't die. And that, in this world? When things go to shit like this? That's impressive. Yutu already has their trust by proving that he refuses to go down without a fight; Sav's dominance battles, out-pranking Fior and Thrush, putting up with transferring into NRC late? It grinds a person down and each and every time, Yutu has risen to the challenge.
Yutu points out angrily that he still nearly got them killed by not seeing the big picture, Morry calmly replies that he trusts Yutu to do better next time. And, if things go south again... Well, Morry has his magic. He wants to help, more than anything, and Yutu is his ticket to do that. Either Yutu screws up and Morry can make himself useful or Yutu succeeds and everyone gets out unscathed. Here Fior breaks in and points out that following Yutu led to the best possible outcome- no one dying- so he's gonna keep doing that, sorry if that's not what Yutu wants to hear.
And... (here Fior gets a little shy) Fior finds Yutu interesting. Pranking Yutu, getting pranked by Yutu, having the chance to fight by his side- it's the most fun he's had in a while. It feels nice to have something to enjoy, especially when death is a constant risk. So (and now Fior firms up, smiling) he's gonna keep following Yutu's orders. He trusts Yutu too, yeah? Morry cheers and Fior hauls him to his feet, steadying the Ignihyde student when he wobbles, laughing.
Yutu's mind is a mess at that moment, caught up how his parent, Yuu, suffered growing up and how Yutu couldn't do anything to solve the problem. His mitigation only went to far, and when they traveled to Twisted Wonderland only for his parent to die? He sat with them for what felt like trauma-packed ages doing nothing while the healers were trying everything they could to keep Yuu alive. Yutu... He's never felt like enough, not ever. And now he's being given the trust of these two? People are relying on him again? He's terrified.
However, and here Yutu is too grim and smart not to admit it, he needs their strength still. If Fior and Morry are so eager to do his bidding, he's not in any place to refuse. Yutu wants to survive, even if he doesn't have much to survive for other than spite and remembrance of his parent's love, and to do that he needs allies, people who can help him navigate this new world. He can only hope that he can be enough this time and they won't regret trusting him.
Someone conjures some ice water to dump on the professor and he wakes up with a splutter, hurrying everyone back to the castle where Crewel is waiting, thoroughly pissed off. Thrush and Sav are also there and they descend in the first year trio with a lot of worry. Thrush is darting around his younger brother looking frantically for injuries, Sav is vibrating in place trying to respect Yutu's space, and Morry is off to the side, looking on with a small smile.
Yutu explains what had happened and Sav calms down while Thrush froths up, furious that Fior didn't just run or climb a tree to go hide. Fior starts rising to his brother's challenge, arguing that Yutu knew what he was doing and Thrush grits out that it's not Yutu's judgement he distrusts, it's Fior's for going along with what Yutu planned. Surely Fior could have come up with a better idea? Something that wouldn't put him on the front lines?
Fior laughs back that Thrush should just come with next time, Thrush shouts that there should be no next time, but it's obvious that he's not turning down the whole 'coming with them' idea. Sav decides to funnel his energy into fussing over Morry, which seems to surprise the Ignihyde student... And Yutu begins to think.
This is a world where death is out to get them, blot monsters are roaming the world at large, and his parent lies dead with an empty grave at their side. His dad is still out there somewhere and Yutu has minions now. Friends. Or something. If... If he can get stronger. Smarter maybe, better prepared... Maybe he could do something.
Yutu's not sure what that something is, just yet, but the thought is there, niggling. Maybe he has hope for his future yet.
Maybe more to come as time and inspiration allow...

Yesterday episode with Gemini and Lunar 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠ho boy on one hand I agree with alot about what Gemini said about Lunar being he doesn't try to solve his problem of trama and out right avoids trying to get help for so long now the consequences of that has now put him in danger because I have a very good feeling Taurus is pretty muder but I do feel Gemini lack of truly understanding emotions also adds to the problem like saying he a child but screaming and a child will somehow fix it but after everything that happens Gemini WILL STILL try and defend Lunar to the best of their ability and I really appreciate that about them
Honestly yeah.
Gemini feels completely betrayed, and feels as if they failed Lunar.
Gemini has actually repeated a lot of analysis and words that I have said about Lunar in the public server, which could be a coincidence, but I like to think that the actors saw what I said and yoinked it for later.
Gemini is THIS upset because they are emotionally attached to Lunar. Right now, they feel like that's a mistake.
Who knows if Lunar will actually listen and take what Gemini says to heart.
Because Lunar is really childish and a complete hypocrite of a character. Earth and Lunar were having a conversation moments before on how Lunar can approach this.
Moon even told Lunar that Eclipse might approach and antagonize him and he had to be ready for that.
Lunar held a grudge over Moon for weeks because he said "Trust your family"
What does he do?
Not trust Earth. At all. And gives into his emotions and listen to Eclipse who was bullying him.
He should have shocked Eclipse to show him his place. Maybe punched him to get some feelings out....... But continuously electrocuting him until he was nothing but ash?
Honestly... in the latest TSAMS episode, Moon does exactly what Lunar should have done to work on his issues.
NewMoon isn't letting Eclipse occupy any of his time or head space cus it's not helping him. And I think Moon feels a relief that this is the big bad Eclipse he built in his head in the one year he's been alive.
Lunar thought he would be "Free" if he killed Eclipse, not true, he had to learn how to be free in the mental sense, in just... not letting Eclipse rule over his mind anymore.
It's a tragic case of Lunar had the cards stacked in his favor with people who would help and protect him, but refused them at every oppertunity.
Gemini's call out of Lunar was well deserved, and they're doing it, because they know they are too deeply emotionally invested in Lunar and care about him.
They feel hurt, and betrayed by his actions. Which they wouldn't, if they "don't feel anything" like Lunar claimed.
And judging by how Lunar reacted after they left... Who knows if he can even process or understand what Gemini tried to tell him.
Lunar just can't cope. He can't cope with anything. He has to be the victim forever cause that's all he wants to be. Am I victim blaming Lunar? Absolutely not. But he is not the only one who suffered under Eclipse. Yet he always acts like he did. With a "Oh I'm sorry, did you blow up?"
He parades his trauma like a badge of honor. That he has trauma. That he's the most traumatized so only his feelings mater above anything else that's logical or anyone else's feelings.
People compare what Lunar did to what Sun did. And while I do think Sun can offer Lunar comfort, there is a few things missing here.
Sun killed Bloodmoon because he was antagonized, but he was also thinking of self-defense. The protection of himself and his family.
Lunar.... Was not thinking about that.
Ironic that Eclipse joked he wasn't Bloodmoon and died in a very similar mater.
Eclipse taunted Lunar. But Eclipse had a chip that prevented him from hurting anyone in the family. Lunar was told this and Earth knew this.
Lunar killed Eclipse, not out of a desire to protect himself, or his family. He killed Eclipse in revenge, in hatred. In no single instant did he think how his actions would affect Earth (WHO WAS RIGHT THERE AND WAS IGNORED AND PROBABLY FEELS HORRIBLE LIKE SHE FAILED LUNAR AND THIS IS HER FAULT THIS HAPPENED.)
Lunar didn't think about Earth, Sun, Moon, Solar. He thought of NO ONE but himself and his own satisfaction.
That's the difference.
That's what makes him a child.
And that's why he needs help.
And that's why Gemini is so furious.
And I swear to god I hope Lunar can actually understand what Gemini said to him... otherwise things will just get way harder for Lunar.

gallavich daughter gets diognosed with borderline personality disorder
They walked into the dark, gloomy office dimly lit by the fluorescents that were all too familiar. The couple had started to sense something off with their daughter, fearing the worst. They immediately got into the car and set off, Y/N with them. She didn’t know exactly why she was going, she had just thought they were being precautionary because of her dad’s mental illness being genetic and all that. She wasn’t worried about being bipolar, recognising all of the symptoms early on, only having a few insignificant ones. (but that wasn’t uncommon with growing up in a place like this).
You see, Y/N was adopted 7 years ago, making her 6. Her family was okay, not much better than the others in this town but not all bad. That was until they found out her brother had gotten into a car accident. He had always been the golden child of the family, so her parents went mad. They resorted to what everyone else in this city did, drugs. Her dad was a recovering addict, and it sent him and her mom into a downward spiral. Someone saw them, worried (knowing that they had a young kid) and reported it to DCFS.
She was in a group home for about 6 months, being a shy little girl and not talking to anyone. That was until two scary-looking men in big black uniforms walked in. She was starstruck. They walked over to the front desk and she ran to them, tugging on their uniforms with a big smile, trying to impress them so that they would take her home. It had worked. The next day they took her back to their shabby two-bedroom unit, and as soon as she walked in, it was a home. Their home. Now, back to the current situation.
Y/N was sitting in a waiting room chair, watching her dads walk up to the front desk, worried looks on their faces. She had been acting out recently, being closed off and getting into more trouble than usual. They tried to do their research, thinking it was nothing. They found out that all her symptoms could lead to borderline personality disorder. She had recently been getting bullied and it takes an event to set off.
They sat down in a bland-ass room, Y/N sitting in front of the desk, biting her lip. “Okay! Hello Mr and Mr Gallagher-Milkovich, what can I do for Y/N today”? The doctor said way too enthusiastically.
What joy does she get from telling people they have life-changing mental problems? “Umm, just an evaluation,” Ian said quietly, almost unsure about what they wanted. He didn't want to mention that they might know what she has, not wanting to come across eager for this situation, because he wasn’t, neither of them were. They knew that if she had this disease, that it wasn’t medicated like Ian’s, that there was no cure. “Okay! That’s all good, but we normally have the parents leave for this part of the appointment, so we’ll send someone out for you when we’re done”.
Mickey’s heart dropped, he didn’t want to leave her, he had been with Ian to the doctors countless times, never being asked to leave. He knew how stressful these appointments are and couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t want their daughter to be accompanied during an uncomfortable session.
The two men stood in fear and anxiety, not excited for what was to come. All they wanted was to be with their little girl.
“Gallagher-Milkovich? Y/N’s finished her appointment and we need to talk to you,”. Their hearts drop. That only happens if something bad is going on. They rushed into the room with Y/N there, looking at them scared. She obviously didn't know yet. “After today's consultation, and looking at Y/N’s medical records we sadly have to diagnose her with something called Borderline Personality Disorder. We can recommend specialists and therapists, but at the moment there isn't any known treatment other than therapy”. Mickey zoned out for the rest of the conversation.
No, he couldn’t go through this again. At least Ian's disorder is treatable, what was he gonna do with Y/N’s? He could see Ian listening intently, not knowing how he could bare listening to the conversation. Y/N looked scared. Of course she did, being diagnosed with a very life-changing disorder would make you scared. Mickey, who was standing behind her pulled her into him, resting his hands on her shoulder. Y/N was silent, even when she was asked a question, she wouldn’t answer.
They understood why, of course. Even the doctor did, never directly pushing for an answer. Once their appointment was done, they slowly walked out of the building and to the car. Y/N sat down, still not saying anything to her dads. Ian was trying to talk to her, but it always came out in mumbles. She understood why they were so uncomfortable.
I’ll make a part two to this with headcannons <333

Falling for Frogs- Chapter One
CW: NSFW, Slow burn, chubby!reader, fem reader, original female character (paired with Haley), side ships, mental illness, anxiety attacks, smoking, bdsm, loss of virginity, online bullying (not in anyway involving seb) A/N: so I've been planning this fic for years >.> ---- Chapter One: Pan!c at the Con
Sebastian both hated changes in his routine and yet looked forward to them. He hated it when people would force it on him with no chance to say ‘no’, minimal notice, or if it forced him to take part in one of the ridiculous festivals around town. Yet, the change for today wasn’t so bad.
He and Sam stepped out of the beat-up van into a day far too sunny for Sebastian, that had him squinting and his fingers itching for a cigarette. However, he forced the desire down. He’d just finished one after all. Instead, he focused on spinning his ring around his finger and touching the piercing on the corner of his lip with the piercing in the center of his tongue. The fidgeting helped, especially as they moved further into the crowd of Zuzu city.
It was funny, the thick throng of people usually didn’t bother him, but today it was worse than usual out on the streets. Likely because of the convention. The convention he and Sam were headed straight towards. Fuck, he hoped it wasn’t this bad at the actual site.
“Dude, wanna stop at the café with the maple bars?” Sam tilted pointed toward the place.
Sebastian blinked, considering it for a moment before nodding, “Yeah. Coffee sounds good.”
Caffeine always sounded good to him. He had even gotten a good night’s sleep, having pushed himself the two days before to finish his recent gig early and his client had been extremely pleased. Even though Sebastian had only pushed so hard for selfish reasons, he wanted to be as well rested as possible for today. Though he wasn’t about to say that.
Even with a good eight hours under his belt he still felt sleep deprived, and thus coffee sounded good. Chronic insomnia does that to a person though.
Stepping in through the doors was like finding an oasis in the desert. Except the desert was the outside, where people pressed so close together their elbows dug into each other, and the already muggy city air was thick with the scent of sweat and too much perfume. Sebastian took a deep breath as soon as he realized the predominant smell here was roasted coffee beans and sweet, buttery pastries.
He just had to make it until they reached the hotel. It should be better there. His fingers flicked over his thumb ring nervously.
A register was already open and waiting, so while Sam went to find a table, Sebastian went to order. He knew Sam’s order off the top of his head after all, and despite how good of a friend Sam was, he never knew how Sebastian would take his coffee in a café. After all, it changed depending on the place.
Sebastian’s eyes skipped to the side as a flash of glaring green caught his attention. A frog backpack, something a child would probably have, hung over your shoulders. You were small, he had maybe four inches on you, maybe more. You looked soft, with thick thighs, wide hips, and bright eyes as you talked animatedly to the person behind the register.
He looked at your hands, a set of fingerless, striped knit gloves held onto a wallet in the shape of some sort of merch from Cave Saga. He thought his heart might have kicked at that. The colors you wore were muted except for the pop of your bag and the little choker around your neck. You would easily blend in if it weren’t for those things. Yet you didn’t seem worried about that, not like he was. He swallowed.
“Excuse me, are you ready?” the worker in front of him asked and Sebastian felt a burn rise to his cheeks.
“Yeah,” he nodded, shaking himself into the present and focusing on the task at hand.
He put in his order while his hand worked his ring at warp speed. When he turned to head over to Sam you were gone. Oddly, he would normally feel nothing but at that moment he felt disappointed. His eyes scanned the café, checking just in case you had lingered. But when he saw no green or purple he just brushed it off as one of the many missed opportunities in his life. What would he have said anyway?
Sebastian fell quiet as he waited for Sam to finish his donut. Sam didn’t point it out and likely assumed it was due to his usual ‘moodiness’ as everyone called it. Sebastian wouldn’t deny that he did the brooding e-boy thing well, so they weren’t necessarily wrong about him being moody occasionally. This time though his mind was merely caught up in a fantasy, about what he would have said to you.
---
Your eyes were so wide you swore they had completely dried up. You consciously blinked several times and then squinted up at the wide screens that spread across the many booths. This gaming convention was going to be so amazing. It would give you so many ideas for next year. For your own booth.
You grabbed your notebook as you slipped between the thinning crowd. Out on the streets the number of people had been nearly suffocating, but now it was just enough to make it feel like you might be able to disappear underneath it in the best way.
Women still weren’t the most welcome in the gaming world, especially as developers for the type you were planning to release. In fact, you were releasing it under an alias for that exact reason. Many people assumed you were masculine online, and you just thought it was best not to correct them. This game was your baby after all, you’d been working on it for ten years. Pouring your blood, sweat, and tears into it, and to be honest, the only thing you needed was some voice actors before you could release it for some trial runs in beta. You pursed your lips, maybe you would find some VAs, lesser-known ones who still hit the mark, here.
You bobbed through the crowd, feeling like you were swimming through water as you tried to slow down at one spot but got distracted by booth. Eventually you found yourself in front of a video game start up for Solarian Chronicles.
Your heart jumped excitedly, “Oh my god! I saw this on Kickstarter!”
You gushed, swiping through the tablet. Someone cleared their throat beside you and that was when you realized that someone’s hand was already hovering over the tablet you touched.
“Oh…,” you squeaked and instantly your stomach squirmed, embarrassment flooded through you. “I’m so sorry. So sorry. Oh my god.”
Anxiety roiled like a beast, hungry and gripping onto your fractured thoughts, instantly you dropped your gaze. A pair of combat boots, black jeans, and a spiked belt came into view. You refused to look further up, you refused to make eye contact. They turned though and quiet huff came from their direction.
“Not a big deal,” they said.
And Yoba the voice, deep and rich, with a bit of a growling rasp. You weren’t sure if was vocal fry or something else.
They cleared their throat again, “Is the floor really that interesting?”
You thought you were going to die, just burn up into ash from the way you were squirming on the spot and the way the shame ate you alive. You shook your head, still focusing purely on their shoes.
“You can look up, y’know?” they said it like you weren’t melting into the floor, like you weren’t hoping they’d turn around and you could just slip away.
Maybe you’d leave the con all together now, you couldn’t focus anyway. Not with those vicious little thoughts poking at everything you did wrong today.
“Umm,” you swallowed and slowly, so slowly, you looked up.
Did Yoba make humans? Did Yoba sculpt them with Their own two hands or was it just this one? Because even with the baggie hoodie hiding him, with his sleeves pushed up to his elbows to expose twisting black vines inked into his right forearm, you swore this man before you was a gift from the God.
Whatever embarrassment you had before lurched into overdrive as you realized you were staring. Eyes flicking over the way his piercings on his lip, his ear, and his eyebrow caught the light. The way the black fringe fell into his face and in an effort to see you easier he tilted his head, making him seem a little softer. And his eyes were a mix of blue and green with flecks of brown, underneath the fluorescent lights it showed every swirling color within them, even though they didn’t give even a fraction of a glimpse of his emotions.
You hated yourself. You hated that you got too pulled into your bubble. Too excited, too focused, too everything that wasn’t normal, so you pressed your notebook against your chest and whimpered. Yoba, you fucking whimpered in front of him. And you weren’t sure if it was the way his lips pulled into a smirk when you met his gaze or if it was from the sheer amount of negativity bombarding your brain.
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled one last time before slipping through the crowd once more.
“Wait!”
You heard his yell, but it was too late, you were already deeper in the crowd than you’d ever wanted to be and already rushing toward the door. You could always watch some influencers’ videos later. You could always find voice actors the old-fashioned way. You weren’t missing out on much.
Tears began to sting at your lash line and all you could think about was how this always happened in Zuzu and maybe you needed to take up your best friend on their offer to visit them in the valley.

hi everyone! it's nice to meet you! my name is rose and i'm super excited to bring my child aka the sweetest little shield - na boreum - to town. she is a stuttering mess sometimes, but i'm hoping that she'll make some good friends along the way.. or unwittingly make some enemies too! either way, it's never a dull moment with boreum because bad luck seems to just follow her most times.. even with her having a force field :') i'll have some information under the cut, along with some wanted connections / plot ideas, but you can also find a in progress breakdown of her here. please like this post and i'll jump to you to get started on plotting! please and thank you! :)
current events.
boreum currently works full-time as a waitress at toast & coffee 24-hour diner. she knows what she’s doing right now is mundane - working each night shift, coming home, sleeping, eating and then repeating.. but she isn’t sure what more she wants to do with her life. truthfully, she’s never thought much about her own life until after her father passed away - before then, she’d only thought about how she could get the loan sharks to stop coming to their apartment. she is currently seeking a purpose in life.. and hopefully she can find some friends along the way.
some background facts:
tw: very slight mention of a gambling addiction her father had, parental abuse and parental death.
born in the slums of the south side to a young couple - her mother became sickly after giving birth, and died young, whereas her father had a gambling addiction and no sooner shipped his daughter off to live with her grandparents the second his wife had passed away.
at the age of seven, boreum’s grandparents both passed away and she was left in the care of her father, who was extremely abusive mentally, physically and emotionally.
it was during this time living with him that she had manifested the ability to create force fields, most likely spurred on by the desire to defend herself from her father when he was in a fit of rage.
bullied often during her school years, as her father constantly owed debts, and would show up during classes, begging her to give him money from her part-time jobs to repay his loans.
her father suddenly passed away when she was twenty-three years old, though the cause of death is unknown, it’s said that he was mixed up with some criminals who didn’t take debt loans lightly.
moved to her own apartment after her father’s death, and got a full-time job at toast & coffee - she primarily works the nightshift, mostly as she’s a pushover and accepts those shifts when others ask her to take them, and also because it’s less busy in the evenings, so she feels a little more comfortable compared to the morning or afternoon rush.
stutters sometimes, and can be somewhat skittish around strangers, mostly as a result of her upbringing.
wanted connections.
regular! 0/2 - someone who frequents toast & coffee often and who usually ends up sitting in boreum's section - whether by their own request, or because fate keeps pairing them together. when it's a particularly slow evening, sometimes you'll chat together, even if boreum is helplessly awkward.
neighbors! 0/? - you just keep running into each other - quite literally, at one point, as boreum knocked into you on the stairwell once by accident. maybe you want to torment her because she's such an easy target living in such a disgraceful place. maybe you're wanting to protect her. or maybe you just misplaced your keys and she is the only one willing to open the door and invite you in until your deadbeat landlord swings by. whatever the reason, having boreum as your neighbor is definitely.. interesting.
coworkers! 0/? - maybe you're the person who always tries to help her out when she accidentally knocks over the coffee mugs.. or maybe you're the one who keeps peer pressuring her into taking the night shifts. either way, you're part of her daily life!
good friend! 0/1 - the one person that boreum is closest to - you're essentially her confidant, and the person she'll text every day hoping you have a great morning, noon or night. she's fiercely loyal to you and she'll always have your back - even if she's shaking in her boots.
antagonist! 0/1 - even with her father having passed on, it doesn't mean that his debts have just been erased, so you're out to collect on it from his remaining kin - are you going to shake her down or take mercy on this innocent soul?
there's also some other plot ideas for our muses you can find here. but here are some just to get started if you're interested!
thrift buddy! someone who often goes thrifting with her - whether it’s just because you know it makes her happy or because you’re interested in finding some fits yourself.
blind date. one of her coworkers thought it would be funny to set you up with her on a blind date. maybe it’ll go well! .. or maybe it won’t :’)
online friend. it’s really difficult for her to make friends irl.. but maybe she has a better chance on the internet where you two have chatted for “x” amount of time. it would be fun to meet up in person too for the first time.
someone who knew her dad and who hates her as a result of his scheming whether he scammed them personally or maybe someone close to them.
either you and/or boreum find yourselves in some trouble and the only way of getting out alive is depending on each other.. yikes!
^^ feel free to mix around any of the wanted connections or plots together and/or just message me if none suit your fancy and you want to brainstorm
#( ˟ ╰ 𝟘𝟘𝟙. 𝕊ℍ𝕀𝔼𝕃𝔻 𝕄𝔼 ˎˊ˗ — intro. )#hello lovely people !!#i'm so jazzed to be here ;____;#i'm heading to bed bc WORK in the am.. but was too excited not to post this now asdhjkl;#please feel free to hmu for plotting and i'll respond tmrw when i'm home !! ✨️

For background, there was an incident on the playground this morning between Older Brother and the boy which Mom has filed a police report against for cyber bullying. Older Brother kicked a ball at the boy’s head. Words were exchanged and the boy punched Older Brother in the head. The school teacher checked on Older Brother and he is fine. He remained at school all day. These are 10 year old boys. I don’t think they pack much power in a “punch”. But Mom, who relishes drama, pronounced that Older Brother was “assaulted” and demanded to pick him up and bring him to the doctor and maybe to the police station to file a police report. This woman has not exchanged a single word with either of her sons in 14 days, hasn’t seen her children in 23 days, and hasn’t attended any of the 6 medical appointments she has been invited to. Yet the second she sees an opportunity to make someone else look bad, (even if they are a 10 year old boy), she suddenly wants to be an involved parent. Of course she hasn’t filed any police reports against the adult man who assaulted both her sons because he’s her boyfriend. And the social worker told me that it’s a “good sign that she is showing protective behaviours towards Older Brother. I gently pointed out the pattern of behaviour that I’ve been seeing, and asked that she please ensure Mom is given guidance her effort as a parent would be better spent teaching her son how to deal with-escalate conflict instead of modeling how to file police reports against 10 year boy who has not caused any noticeable marks on her child. Yet when her boyfriend left bruises and scratches on her son’s neck, she told everyone that it was just a misunderstanding.
I have confirmed with the social worker that Older Brother is "definitely" going to the Children’s Home on Friday.
I asked about the plans for Younger Brother (since yesterday she talked about returning him home on Friday) and she said after Older Brother is settled, then she will discuss with the family about a plan for how and when Younger Brother will be returned home within the next few weeks. I pointed out that 5 days ago she told mm needs to attend mental health counselling and mom and boyfriend need to attend domestic violence / parenting services before the boys would be returned home and so what happened to that plan, and she said that the services still need to be completed but they were exploring if perhaps it is safe for Younger Brother to be returned home sooner. So at least we aren't on the Friday plan any more. But I pointed out that Mom’s behaviour isn’t showing a desire to parent him. She hasn’t exchanged a single word with him in 2 solid weeks even though she knows she can call any time. The social worker said she realises that is concerning and will keep that in mind as they plan for what will happen. I begged her that we have a clear, sensible plan for what Mom needs to do to in order to show she is ready and able to parent Younger Brother. If they set a plan and she meets it, great! But CPS isn’t supposed to just return kids because Mom tells them to. There needs to be some sort of rational metrics in place. Isn’t there some sort of standard guidelines they have? It literally seems like this social worker is making it up as she goes. She just agrees with whomever she is talking to in the moment. She literally told me “one step at a time” when I asked what the plan is for what I need to pack for Older Brother. I need to pack his bag literally 48 hours from now. It’s not that far away. This is the reason why everything takes forever because she can only think one step ahead at a time.

Headcanon List || Professor and Student || Ko-fi Commission for Tanya
Jonathan had been teaching for several years at this point, and had gone through a lot of students, some good--and some bad. Very few stood out, and one of those was an exchange student from India.
This student came into his class about three years into his career. She was attentive, always asked questions, paid attention, etc. All and all she was a model student on the outside.
On the inside though, she was struggling. Mentally ill, and being bullied outside of class. (No one bullied in his class, they were too afraid after hearing CERTAIN RUMORS)
Crane, cared about his career at this point in life, and he took it upon himself to care for his students if they needed help or were struggling. Office hours were plenty and he took time out of his day to talk to students.
At first, he didn't notice anything wrong. It IS hard to pay attention to one student out of the fifty he had in class. But the As turned into Bs and the test answers were getting sloppy.
Something was up. One day in class this student came in with puffed up eyes and a cheek that had previously been stained with tears.
He knew what he had to do, and with haste and swiftness not to bring unwanted attention to one of his best students, he issued a pop quiz and quietly ushered her into his office.
Crane gave her his utmost attention as he gently prodded for answers. Turned out this girl had come out to her family, and was instantly shunned.
Jonathan, knowing the nuance of these things decided instantly to tell her he has gay. He told her that she should be proud to be her fullest self, and that no one, not even parents have a say in what makes her feel happy.
He continued to tell her that he's faced similar homophobia from fellow professors who mocked him for looking like a Scarecrow. Sometimes it really gets to him, makes him WANT to be that they fear.
But that's not important now he spoke, whats important is that his office was a safe place for her. If she should ever feel hurt, she could come in and vent. Also we gotta keep those grades up and the best thing for good grades is a good mental state.
And that's exactly what she did., For the bullying was more than just family, it was students. And they SHOULD know better, being practically adults.
Sadly, some of us never grow up, or grow into hateful monsters.
Eventually the bullying from her fellow students became too much. One day she rushed into his office an hour before class and cried her heart out. Se was mocked, she was hurt.
Jonathan could not stand this. Not HIS STUDENT.
This may have been what broke the camels back as they say. Sometime had to give, and he knew he had to get revenge.
CLICK READ MORE FOR THE REST
That night, Professor Crane went home to sew up sometime scary. taking notes from those who mocked him, he decried to become a Scarecrow.
he would put together a truly terrifying facade, a mask with stitched mouth detailed and a gauntlet that instilled fear.
Yes, a gauntlet. With his knowledge in chemistry he created the first and most rudimentary vermilion of what one day would be called Fear Toxin.
The students who had bullied his prized student resided in the men's dormitory, level three room 257 -- tonight they would know true terror.
With the full moon held up high in the sky, Jonathan slunk out of his office and towards the dorms, a fake key card let him inside and he slithered up the stairs and stood outside of their room.
Using pick pocketing skills he learned as a child, this man turned Scarecrow opened the door and swiftly injected the two boys with a dose of fright.
Instantly they woke up and felt the effects, first some shouting of confusion and quick convulsions. They had no idea what hit him!
Scarecrow laughed "This is what bullies deserve!" he proclaimed and quickly pulled out a throw away film camera and flashed a few pictures of the boys crying and pissing their sheets.
Then, leaving as quickly as he arrived, Scarecrow headed back to his office with the most contented grin and a perchance for fear he had only just discovered.
The next day, the girl came into class and while the lecture went well, she was still feeling low so she took some time after it all to spend in Crane's office. That's when the learned the truth.
At first she didn't know how to react, but surly enough a big smile came across her face. Someone defensed her, someone she respected! Perhaps now the bullying would end!
And end it did. No one messed with her, not aft3er the Scarecrow wreaked havoc. People, students and teachers were too scared.
Jonathan himself, took this situation as a calling. Maybe his true love was fear. Maybe he needed to exact revenge on ALL the bullies.
The students went on to achieve great things, not everyone accepted her, but most did. And better than anything, there was to bullying anymore.
As for Jonathan? Well, he next job would be in Arkham Asylum.

What if the successors were raised at a loving orphanage?
Thank you so much for the ask!! I am SO so sorry about the very long wait with this response; I ended up going way overboard with it and writing a long four-part analysis instead of the brief response I was initially planning to give. Sorry if that's not quite what you were looking for!
The big thing that tripped me up with this ask is the lack of canon information about Wammy's House, which made me worry that there wouldn't be enough evidence to state that it was an unambiguously bad place to grow up. There are several scenes that seem to lead to that conclusion, and if you factor in the spinoff material, it's spelled out pretty clearly. But from the manga alone, we don't really get to see too much of the institution itself so much as we do the products of it. Thus, I wasn't confident that I could meaningfully comment on the characters' upbringing and how it affected them - which isn't to say I think it was a loving orphanage, but I wasn't confident that the manga delved into it enough to decide that based on facts alone. So what I did was first analyse the scenes from Wammy's House to determine whether there were any clear deficits in the way the staff handle difficult situations (spoiler: there were), and then theorise about how certain outcomes might have changed if things had been handled differently. Disclaimer that I have some foundational knowledge about parenting styles and childhood development, but I am by no means an expert.
Part 1: Analysis of Roger & The Conditions at Wammy's House
The only guardian we ever see interacting with the successors is Roger, and our very first introduction to that dynamic is in this scene:
The way I have always interpreted this is that Mello is dragging a kid through the hallway by his hair, and Roger silently removes Mello's hand. I actually ran a poll quite a while ago to determine whether Mello was simply trying to play or if he was outright bullying the kid, and the responses were relatively mixed. However, the consensus was generally that regardless of Mello's intentions, he's clearly being rough here, and the kid in question looks pretty miserable. So, I'm inclined to say that if a more responsible adult witnessed this situation, they would most likely step in. This isn't really what we see from Roger. He does not say anything about it; he just moves Mello's hand and holds his arm so he can't go anywhere.
What this seems to show is that there aren't really consequences for Mello's behaviour. There's no attempt to discipline him or even acknowledge the fact that he's clearly upsetting this kid. This could possibly be the product of Roger grieving - he's just found out that L and Watari are dead, so perhaps he's not in the mood to try disciplining Mello when he ordinarily would. But there's one particular scene later on which, to me, suggests otherwise:
Mello grabs Roger - by the shirt with one hand, and the shoulder with the other - and the only thing Roger does to stop him is quietly say his name. It's Near tipping his puzzle out onto the floor that pulls Mello away from Roger, not any attempt to discourage this behaviour. The fact that Roger does not react to this outburst, and the fact that Mello even feels comfortable doing it in the first place, suggests that this is a precedent that has been set. Mello has no qualms about acting out in front of Roger because he knows there won't be any consequences.
There's also the fact that Roger lets Mello leave the orphanage without any clear attempt to stop him at all, which, in my opinion, is the most egregious example of extremely poor guardianship. Regardless of Roger's mental state at the time, allowing a 14-year-old child to freely walk out of his primary place of residence with no supervision, no knowledge of where he's planning to go and zero indication that he intends to return, is beyond irresponsible. Wammy's House may have tried to track him down after he left, but they clearly had no success in that endeavour - and the fact that he was even able to leave in the first place after very clearly stating that this was his plan is negligence at its finest.
Based on all of this evidence, it seems to me that the primary issue with Roger's style of guardianship is a lack of care. Coupled with the detail in Volume 13 that Roger dislikes children, this makes perfect sense, and further suggests a pattern of behaviour rather than a particularly off day. I'm still hesitant to confidently state that Wammy's House as a whole was not a loving institution because we don't get to see how any of the other staff members interact with the children. We don't know if Roger was the most involved in their lives, or if he was more like a figurehead who only dealt with the serious matters, more like a school principal than a parental figure of any kind. However, I absolutely can say from the evidence here that Roger himself was, at the best possible interpretation, a pretty poor influence, and at worst, outright neglectful.
Part 2: Analysis of Mello
This brings me to my analysis of how things would change if Roger had been a responsible guardian with the kids' best interests at heart. I'll start with Mello as he, in my opinion, is the most obviously screwed up as a result of his upbringing. I can think of three main issues with Mello that Wammy's House failed to address:
His inferiority complex as a result of being pitted against & ranked below Near
His tendency towards rough and/or aggressive behaviour when interacting with others, which appears to cause distress to those who are directly affected
The fact that he was allowed to walk out of the orphanage at age 14 with no observed attempts from staff to prevent this action
I'll answer these in reverse order, as the last point is both the easiest to answer and the one that likely would not have become an issue at all if the first two points had been addressed.
Part 2.1: Allowing Mello to leave the orphanage
I ended up doing a fair bit of research to address this point, as I was curious about what protocol actual orphanages would have had to follow in a situation like this. What I found was mostly case studies/anecdotes from people with relevant lived experiences, and given that orphanages don't exist anymore (at least in the US, UK and Australia - I didn't do any research outside of those three countries), these mostly described either orphanages from the mid-20th century or present day foster care and group homes. According to the few resources I found on orphanages, it wasn't at all uncommon for kids between the ages of 14-17 to leave of their own accord, and the staff didn't really do much to prevent it. In the present day, the general first course of action for carers would be to alert the authorities upon learning that a child has run away from their place of residence.
In the panel where Mello is shown walking away, the sky is noticeably much darker than it was in earlier scenes from the same day, and this fact coupled with Mello's backpack and jacket - which he did not have when he first entered Roger's office - leads to the assumption that some length of time passed between leaving Roger's office and leaving the orphanage. This means that even if Roger was unable to stop Mello from walking out of his office, he should have taken extra precautions to prevent Mello from being able to exit the premises entirely. Possible steps to take would be to ensure the front gate is locked, alert other staff members, have him closely monitored until the staff could be sure that he's calmed down, or have him speak to a therapist or counsellor if possible to address the issue that prompted him to try and leave in the first place. If Mello did manage to get away despite all of this, the orphanage should have taken every possible measure to search for him and ensure his safe return.
Of course, Mello is a genius and very resourceful, so it's entirely possible that he could outsmart the staff and get away regardless, but with specific reference to how things might have changed if Roger were a more caring and responsible guardian, he would have absolutely pulled out all the stops. I suppose, technically speaking, we don't have any clear evidence that he didn't, but the behaviour we see from him in his office scene does not fill me with confidence.
Part 2.2: Rough and aggressive behaviour
This is specifically in reference to Mello kicking a ball at someone's head, dragging a child through the hallway by his hair, and his outburst in Roger's office that resulted in him grabbing Roger by the shirt. The fact that Mello goes on to join the mafia and canonically kill Soichiro Yagami and an unnamed mafia boss himself, as well as orchestrate the kidnapping and murder of many others, suggests that this is a pattern of behaviour that should have been addressed long before it reached criminal levels.
In my opinion, the absolute best-case scenario for Mello would be to see a therapist. Disciplining him might be temporarily effective, and it's something I definitely think a more well-meaning guardian would do, but ultimately it wouldn't address the core of the issue, and may simply result in Mello focusing on trying not to be caught rather than eliminating this behaviour entirely. There is a possibility that these tendencies are indicative of a deeper psychological concern, which is something that should be explored - and even if they aren't, I still think there's a lot Mello could potentially gain from therapy. Ideally, Wammy's House would have already had an on-site therapist available for the kids to visit (this is another case in which we don't have enough evidence to say that they didn't, but the mental state of the kids we see does not paint a very healthy picture). However, in the instance that they didn't, sending Mello to see an independent therapist would be the best course of action to take. Like anything on this list, I cannot state with any certainty that this would have changed matters, but it's the step I imagine a caring and responsible adult would take in Roger's position.
Part 2.3: Inferiority complex
This point is simultaneously the easiest to comment on, based on the abundant evidence that Mello's inferiority complex was very much a permanent and destructive force in his life, and the hardest to address. Unless we assume that Mello was raised at a different orphanage entirely, I suspect it would be incredibly difficult to run the successor program in such a way that Mello would not feel at least a little inferior to Near. His insecurities are the product of a systemic issue, and even if therapy might also help a little, he's never going to be satisfied as long as the competition is ongoing, the goal of becoming L is perceived as highly valuable, and Near outranks him in the running for it.
What we DO know is that Mello and Near are designed to function as the two sides of L; they have different strengths and weaknesses, and these are complementary to one another. We also know that Roger is aware of this to some extent, given that he suggested Mello and Near work together rather than attempting to choose one of them. Thus, if Roger had cared at all about improving Mello's mental state, the best course of action I can think of is for him to promote collaboration between Mello and Near, and potentially other students in the program as well. The fact that Mello asks "which of us did L pick" (or at least, he does the anime - technically in the manga this line is cut off, but this is the implied meaning) and then proceeds to look utterly horrified at the inference that he and Near might have to collaborate on the task suggests that he was taught to see L as a solo role. This is a very unhealthy mentality. Even though L was quite solitary and drove his investigations, he did not work entirely alone - he had Watari as his assistant, he needed the cooperation of the task force for the Kira case, and he also had Wedy and Aiber on standby to assist with more hands-on tasks, which suggests that the Kira case was not the first time he had used their help.
With this in mind, the program should not have been designed to raise one single capable successor to L, but rather as an educational program designed to teach kids about the realities of detective work and raise a new generation of capable detectives, with L as an inspiration rather than a goal. Using a ranking system, setting an incredibly lofty goal and enforcing the idea that only one kid would someday achieve said goal fosters a hostile environment that is more likely to contribute to problems like the deep-rooted and lifelong insecurities that affected every decision Mello made right up until his death. A more humane program would not have used competition as a driving force, but instead encouraged students to work together and combine their strengths, motivating them through challenging work and the desire to improve upon their own skillset.
Part 3: Analysis of Near
Near is a very tricky one to analyse, because none of his character flaws, to me, can be easily attributed to poor treatment in childhood. The one major flaw we see from him is complacency, which is what almost gets him killed at the end of the series. He is confident enough in his plan to miss the possibility that the notebook he tampered with is fake, and this would have been his downfall if Mello's kidnapping of Takada hadn't revealed the true location of the Death Note. I suppose you could argue that his confidence is the product of a system that raised him to believe he was superior to everyone else, but to me, he doesn't seem particularly smug or vain, especially compared to L and Light; it just seems like he became complacent and didn't think things through as well as he should have. And specifically in terms of the poor guardianship exhibited by Roger, overconfidence isn't generally an adverse outcome of neglect anyway. The only other character flaw I can really think of for him is that he has a tendency to be judgemental towards those with lower intelligences than himself, but again, I don't think this is really a product of poor parenting so much as it is just a product of him having grown up among peers with a similar intellect.
Additionally, Near is, in my opinion, extremely likely to be autistic. Many other, more knowledgeable people have talked about Near's autism at length and I don't think I have anything of value to contribute to the discussion myself, so I won't go into detail about it (although if you're interested in reading more, I highly recommend this very insightful post that breaks it down really well). My point in raising this is that autism isn't a product of trauma or neglect in childhood (nor is it a flaw or something that can be "fixed"), so we can't make any claims about the way Near was treated as a child based on the presence of behaviours that might, in a neurotypical child, be considered maladaptive. For example, neglected children can often have social challenges due to insecurities and feelings of worthlessness. However, despite lacking any close friends, this doesn't appear to be the case for Near. Based on the brief scene we see of him interacting with his peers at Wammy's House, he simply does not show any interest in socialising or conforming to social norms. He shows no signs of self-doubt or loathing, nor does he seem negatively affected by this lack of social closeness. So while a less negligent guardian absolutely would have been ideal in supporting his needs, I can't imagine we'd see any major difference in Near's core personality traits or behaviours given that many of them were likely not shaped by his upbringing in the first place.
One thing I CAN say, though, is that Near's future might have looked different if Wammy's House had been more loving. If we assume that the successor program is still a part of it, there is no chance that a caring guardian would have thrown a 13-year-old into the deep end on a case that killed the world's most proficient detective, who had 12 years of age and about 15 years of experience on Near. I don't know what this would have meant for the Kira case. Going by the LABB novel, a more loving orphanage might not have screwed up the previous generations and thus could have had older successors who could take the case instead. Otherwise, they could have just waited until Near was 18, and allowed him to take the case if a) Kira was still active which, given that no one else managed to solve the case during the 5-year timeskip, I presume he would be, and b) Near made the independent decision that he wanted to investigate it. Either way, he shouldn't have been put in such a high-risk position at such a young age, with so many factors at play that made him particularly vulnerable.
Alternatively, I suppose they could have allowed him to research the case from Wammy's House until he was 18, with restrictions on any activity that might have put his life in danger, and then let him move to New York to conduct a more hands-on investigation as an adult if this was the path he wished to take. This is pretty close to what happened in canon, but he established the SPK at age 17, so this would have just pushed the timeline forward by a few months. Still, taking measures to minimise (if not eliminate) the risks as long as he was still underage and in the care of Wammy's House should have been non-negotiable.
Part 4: Analysis of Other Wammy's House Alumni
L - we know even less about his past than we do Mello and Near's. Given that Watari found L and took him in and catered to his requests, it's implied that he did actually care about L to some extent, which is more than we can say about Roger "Hates Kids" Ruvie. I'm also inclined to say that the care he displayed for L wasn't purely driven by his potential to generate income (at least at first), since he already had many orphanages by this point that weren't set up like twisted science labs, and he most likely wouldn't have known when he first took L in that he would end up being so successful. The Wammy's House oneshot does give some interesting insight though, if we choose to take it as canon, and my main comment from that would be much the same as with Near; a different guardian might not have allowed L to enter such a high-risk career at age 10. The fact that Watari felt the need to establish a program to raise potential successors to a literal child suggests that he was very aware of the threat to L's life, so it was, perhaps, not the best move to venture into that endeavour.
A and B - TW for several suicide mentions here. I generally don't take the LABB novel as canon, but given these two characters only exist in the novel, I will consider it for the sake of this analysis. Like L, Watari was the primary guardian responsible for A and B, rather than Roger, but it goes without saying that he did a terrible job of caring for them. A more loving guardian obviously would not have created conditions that placed such immense pressure on the children involved that one felt the only way out was to take their own life. Similarly, B would not have been motivated by the desire to intellectually challenge L via several murders and a suicide, even if he had still gone down a path of crime anyway. The fact that B had the Shinigami eyes makes me think that he was pretty screwed up either way, but much like Mello, a more caring orphanage would have made an earnest effort to set him on an upward trajectory rather than encouraging his downward spiral.
Matt - I don't really have much to say about Matt, but the fact that he supports and assists Mello in his crimes further suggests that the kids at Wammy's House were taught very skewed morals. Thus, at a more loving (and morally reasonable) orphanage, Matt might have followed a different path.

Tamaki Amajiki x Female Reader with Depression
This fanfic is going to be a sad one, but there is going to be a happy ending at the end. Trust me ;)
TW: Depression, Suicidal Thoughts, Mentions of Self Harming, Attempted Suicide, Mentions of Bullying, Attempted Murder, Mentions of Abuse
All right, let's go :D
«────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ──────» «────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ──────»
You were not having a great day, well not like every other day was great.
You've spent your entire life in hell. You frequently question whether you were born unlucky.
Everything has been a disaster ever since you were born. Since you were a baby, your father has been absent, so your mother has raised you. It didn't get any better despite that, though. She was mentally unstable.
When you were seven years old, your mother tried to drown you in a bathtub but mercifully let you go. She suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. You broke out of your house and raced to your neighbor's next door.
The next thing you know, your mother had been placed in a mental hospital, due to being declared "unfit to raise a child". While you were placed in foster care.
Your foster family didn't treat you any better; they were appalling. They would consistently favor their biological children over you and ignore you in favor of playing favorites. They would verbally and occasionally physically abuse you. They threatened to return you to the foster care system and would constantly remind you that you were a foster child. It was very clear that they only promised to take care of you for money.
Not only do you get mistreatment at home, but at school too. Students would pick on you from time to time. And it gets worse every day. It first started with insults, then stealing, and then escalated to full-on violence.
Every time someone is being bullied, they always advise you to tell an adult about it, but the adults do nothing and simply turn a blind eye. You complained to the principal, a teacher, and even your foster parents, but nothing was done. Your foster parents...well, they don't really care. The teacher would just tell them to stop, the principal would just give them detention.
The bullying just keeps getting worse and worse. You thought they would learn your lesson after your bullies got detention but no, they just got angrier. They absolutely made sure your life was a living hell. They would gang up on you and beat you up, leaving bruises all over your body. They would write profanities on your desk in class, telling you such crude words.
"BITCH"
"YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE HERE!"
"DIE!!"
"SLUT"
"I HOPE YOU DIE"
"YOU BETTER WATCH OUT"
"KNOW YOUR PLACE"
"WORTHLESS"
"GET LOST"
"NO ONE LOVES YOU"
"EVERYONE HATES YOU"
Who in their right mind would say such things to another human being? It truly wasn't a surprise that you experienced depression. Your mind was clouded, and you heard voices in your head urging you to do harmful actions, and you did so.
...and you were sick of it...
Now here you were, standing on a high bridge. You lean onto the railing, looking at the water and the view of the city.
"The view is so beautiful...too bad I won't be able to see it much longer..." You thought to yourself.
As you stared off into the bright sky, memories of your life started to flash. The memory of your mother curled into a ball in the corner of the room, repeating "It's not my fault" to herself as if she's losing her sanity.
The memory of you and your foster family at a restaurant, watching as their biological kids enjoyed their milkshake and pancakes while you on the other hand got eggs, even though you also wanted pancakes and a milkshake.
The memory of your foster parents when they laughed at you when you mentioned that you were being picked on at school, saying "Don’t be so sensitive"
The memory of your bullies when they cornered you in the bathroom and beat the living hell out of you and said "Just a reminder that nobody loves you and nobody ever will, you'll just be alone and grow up to be a nobody. You should do the world a favor and get lost while you're at it" Before laughing their butt off as they walked out, leaving you in a bloody pulp.
The memory of your foster father banging your head against the wall when you came home from school.
The memory of you in your bedroom with a razor blade in your hand as you put the sharp blade on your skin and slowly moved it, making a perfect, bloody line on your arm.
And finally, the memory of your birth mother, drowning you in the bathtub.
As that memory flashed in your head, you look down at your arms, both in bandages as you recently harmed yourself. You looked back up and closed your eyes.
"Maybe they were right...I don't deserve to be here"
You opened your eyes and looked down at the water.
"I should end my life the same way my mother tried to do years ago, but failed as she couldn't bring the heart to do it. Honestly, she should've killed me, I would grow up to be a nobody anyway"
You took a deep breath as you were mentally preparing yourself for what you were about to do, you never thought it would come to this, but hey, life sure is surprising.
As you went back about your past, you knew you had made the right decision, you didn't want to live like this anymore. You were tired of your foster family using you for money. You were tired of the non-ending insults and beatings you received from them and your bullies. You were tired of feeling like a piece of shit. You were tired of falling apart. You just want it to end.
You were about to climb over the railing when you spot someone walking. They stopped and looked at you for a split second before deciding to stand right next to you and lean onto the railing.
You immediately stopped what you were doing, you didn't want anyone to witness you about to jump off of a bridge. You wanted to go back home but remembered what's to come when you go there, so you stayed and waited patiently for the person to go away so you can finish what you were doing.
You both didn't talk, you just admired the view. You glance at this person, he was a boy about your age, he had messy indigo hair which sticks out behind his head, and ears that were very pointy, somewhat elf-like. You recognize this boy, he went to the same school as you, and although you weren't in the same class as him, you'd sometimes spot him in the hallway hanging around that blonde kid.
You were a little bit frustrated that this elf-looking kid was interrupting your death, but it's not like you can just say "Hey, so I was in the middle of killing myself, if you could just please leave and don't tell anyone, that would be great"
"H-Hello..."
You were taken aback when the boy suddenly spoke to you, even though you don't know him, you heard from other students that he is known to be quite shy and usually doesn't start up conversations.
"Hi..." You replied, not looking at him.
"I-I didn't know you come here, I-I usually come here f-for comfort whenever I need to feel s-safe"
"Yeah, I always come here just to view the city, it makes me feel like everything is going to be okay," You said as you frowned. This was the first time you came here, you only came to get one last look at the city of Musutafu before you were about to take the leap of faith.
"Aren't you t-that girl that got milk poured all o-over you at the cafeteria today?" He asked.
Your body froze at that. Your mind instantly went back to when your bullies took your carton of milk from your lunch tray and poured it all over your head, leaving you soaking wet as they laughed at you.
"Yeah, why? You want to laugh at me and say how much of a loser I am"
"N-No! That is not my intention! I'm not that kind of person!" He finally looked at you.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for how those girls treated you, y-you don't deserve that"
You scoffed, "You're just saying that to make me feel better"
"No, I'm saying that because I feel bad for you! I pity you!"
"Who cares? I'm worthless anyway, I don't even know why I thought things would get better"
"N-No! You're not worthless! Y-You're amazing! Even though I barely know you, I know you're a w-wonderful person with big dreams that I know you're gonna accomplish, who cares if others are too self-absorbed to see that"
You were shocked by what he was saying, nobody has ever said something nice to you before. Your whole life you've been given insults left & right, but this was new.
"You really mean that?"
"Y-Yes! I mean everything I said. You don't deserve to be treated as anything less than a human. You deserve to be treated how you want to be treated"
Tears started to form in your eyes, this was the first time someone has ever comforted you, was this what it's like to be liked by someone, if so, please don't let it end.
"A-And to think that those girls want to be heroes, last time I checked, heroes don't pick on i-innocent people and beat them up for no reason, they're better off to be seen as v-villains."
Out of nowhere, you hugged him. This took the shy elf boy by surprise as he wasn't expecting you to react like that. He blushed before hugging you back. He knew he did something right, he snapped you out of your bad thoughts and brought good ones into your head.
You, on the other hand, were crying on his shoulder, you were in so much pain, you just wanted someone who cares for you and loves you. I guess God answer your prayers and brought an angel to help you out.
"Thank you! Thank you so much! I wanted someone to say that to me all my life!"
"Y-Your w-welcome. Don't listen to what anybody says. You keep your head up high and focus on yourself. I will be there for you every step of the w-way"
You broke the hug. "By the way, I never caught your name"
"Tamaki Amajiki"
"Y/N L/N, nice to meet you" You smiled.
The rest of the day, you chatted with Tamaki, you've talked about heroes, your hero names, your quirks, what you can do, etc. But in the end, you both parted ways. You went back home to your foster parents, which you dread for. Even though you got the most terrible beating you could ever ask for, you smiled as you finally made a friend in forever.
The next day, you hang out with Tamaki and that blonde kid who you learned his name was Mirio. Sure, you got passed insults from your bullies and got assaulted by them a couple of times. You had two new friends that got your back.
3 years later...
Things had gotten a lot better over the last 3 years.
To start things off, you were able to make it into your dream school, U.A. High! Along with your long-time pals, Tamaki and Mirio. Oh, speaking of Tamaki, you two started dating. This man was the sweetest boyfriend, despite his shy and timid nature, he'd always take care of you and would be there for you when in need of comfort.
You also made a new friend along the way, Nejire Hado was the name. Her endless curiously and childish personality always made you giggle. She always believed in you whenever you start feeling down about yourself, she would literally yell at the top of her lungs that you could do it. All in all, she's pretty great to hang around with.
Also, you become one of the top hero candidates in all of Japan, along with your boyfriend and your new friends, thanks to the newfound support, you learned how to master your quirk and became one of the best students of U.A. You guys became known as The Big 4.
Even better, now that you are 18 years old, you have been officially removed from the foster care system. The only issue was that since you didn't have much money, they needed to make sure you had a somewhere to stay, which you don't.
Luckily, your mentor, Fatgum, was kind enough to let you live with him until you were able to afford a place to call home. How did he know you were a foster child? Well, long story short. He may or may not have seen your healed up scars on your arm while you guys were on patrol one day.
Your hero suit tore when you were fighting the bank robbers because you and your friends got caught up in the crime. Your scars have now completely healed, however the cuts still have bright red lines. And because they are so obvious, you always wear long sleeve shirts or arm warmers to hide them.
When Fatgum took notice of this, he had a chat with you privately, asking if everything was okay with you. You tried to explain that nothing was wrong but he insisted to tell him the truth, especially since those scars looked like they were done months ago. So, you finally spilled the beans of what's been going on in your life.
You told him about your mentally unstable birth mother, the abusive foster parents, and the bullying that you'd endure in middle school, but you also told him that you're doing fine after middle school because you found someone that turned your life around.
Fatgum was about to take action against your foster parents but you stopped him because you were 17 going on 18 in just a few months and once you turn 18, you'll be out of their house and out of the system. He hesitated at first but eventually promised to not send those horrible parents to jail for child abuse.
Now you live with Fatgum. He treated you like his own daughter, something your foster parents never did. It's true what they say, Fatgum really is a dad.
However, only you and Fatgum are aware of this, nobody else knows it. Not even your own boyfriend. You haven't told him about the real reason why you were at the bridge, or your depression, or the hell you went through.
You knew the man would blame himself even though none of this was his fault, nor was he involved. But, that's just how he is. Maybe one day you'll tell him. Thank him for saving your life, even if he doesn't realize it. But not now, you don't want more problems when everything was getting better and better.
And to think that none of this wouldn't have happened if Tamaki didn't come to the bridge...

Basil is very mentally ill (SPOILERS)
I just came to this realization in the tags of another post but how deeply fucked up mentally must little twelve year old Basil must have been for his first idea to cover up Mari's death to be a suicide.
Mari has a knee injury that stops her from playing softball - so it must be a pretty bad knee injury. And you know what knee injuries do to you? They make you fucking fall. What are the odds of Mari accidentally falling off the stairs and dying from it after tripping because of her injury (and she was probably tired because of her training for the recital on top of that)? Pretty high me thinks. Even without the knee injury, these are some tall stairs man. Maybe I'm just clumsy but I know I'd fall from that.
So what happened is that Basil saw his best friend made his sister fall from the stairs and she died from it. And his first thought was to... Stage it as a suicide. And not any type of suicide, stage it as Mari having hanged herself. @a-rock-nothing-else in who's tags I screamed already pointed out that it's really weird for a twelve year old boy at a time where Internet isn't that easily accessible to know how to tie a noose.
So. Basil is undeniably fucked in the head from a stupidly young age, which makes sense given his parents are canonically "too busy" to take care of him, and he lives with his grandma + he seemingly didn't have any friends before Aubrey befriended him. So the child is probably somewhat depressed in the first place, and may have been suicidal in the past, explaining his knowledge of how to tie a noose (this is from @/a-rock-nothing-else's post).
But on top of that, even when he's seemingly really happy with his friends, his immediate reaction to Mari dying isn't to either freeze up like Sunny or call for help, it's to frame the "murder" and even then, to frame it as a fucked up suicide that's probably hard to put in place (need to know how to make a noose, need to bring the dead weight of a 16 years old girl down the stairs and then up a rope, all that alone because Sunny isn't responsive) instead of a simple "She fell down the stairs!". Even giving most of the truth would probably have been simpler ("Sunny and Mari were arguing and Mari was tired and tripped and fell down the stairs!").
I have a theory/headcanon : Basil probably was traumatized by something in the past (his parents' absence, his lack of friends or potential bullying, even just his depression) and got the good ol' "You're so mature for your age!" symptom. In this state of mind, he felt he had to help Sunny, because Sunny is helpless and doesn't know what to do, and he's his best friend, so Basil has to do something. He's the only one who can do something. (He doesn't think of calling for help.) Then, his first thought is to stage a suicide, perhaps because he's seeing things through his own eyes too much : when you're suicidal, you might view committing suicide as an escape from everything (good) and think that the people around you will forget everything about it in a few days, maybe (very good). Basil doesn't think in terms of "this is going to break everyone's hearts and might traumatize many of my friends" first because when you're twelve you don't think like that, and second because he's seeing himself in Mari supposed suicide.
Of course, he realizes after how terrible of an idea this is, but well. He can't do anything now, and he knows he did something wrong.
I suppose after all this, when the adrenaline went back down, he realizes that Mari didn't kill herself or die out of nowhere, someone pushed her. And when you're a kid you probably struggle to see shades of grey a bit, so he can't possibly believe his best friend is the one who pushed Mari down the stairs and killed her, no - it was something behind him.
Anyway. I'm not blaming Basil for anything, just trying to understand why his brain works so fucking weird and projecting a bit. I also might have missed some canon points but heh. These are just random thoughts, this is the reason why I labeled this as a theory/headcanon.

Bully: The Deal
I've been proud of what I wrote for a big story idea for Bully (the game by rockstar) but its still like first chapter and I probably wont get to it anytime soon. So I wanted to post some bits and pieces. Mostly showing like Pete's perspective and resemblance of like Gary and his Grandfather Also this is the game Bully so offensive language is kind of part of the deal.
Pete Kowalski have had many bad days in his life. As being a small and shy, but curious child, it was bound to be the case. Like the time when he was five and a bunch of boys poor glue all over his head. Or like the time he was eight and he watched his dog get hit by a car because he wanted to play outside with him.
The lady who hit the dog, fussed at Pete for not keeping him on a leash and demanded his parents pay for the damage done to the bumper. Pete never asked for another pet since.
There was also a time when Pete first started Bullworth. A bunch of bullies stuck him into a trash can and rolled him off of school grounds down into the beach path. He rolled straight into the water. Pete had to swim back to shore as the trash sailed off to sea. And that was just a few really terrible ones that came to mind, however, none of them compared to the deep sense of dread and anxiety of today. Well... maybe the dog thing was worse, but this was a close second. “Hello~ Earth to Fem-boy!” A hand waved in front of his face. The hand retreated back, like a pulled curtain, revealing a scarred face with a wicked grin. Gary Smith was back for another year at Bullworth. “I hate to disappoint you, Petey, but I don't swing that way. Though I know its hard not to stare. I'm an incredible. Human body at its peak.” Gary flexing his arms, “Humanities greatest achievement. Genetic marvel, really.” “Not mentally.” Pete bit his tongue as soon as he let his words slip. Cursing internally as Gary turned back towards him.
“Ooohoo hoo~ I see someone got started on their testosterone while I was gone.” Gary cooed with a nastier grin. Eyes sharp. Petey rolled his eyes, as he always did with the boy. Though he can't deny after the stunt Gary pulled last year, he was highly on edge. Just being in same room with Gary, set off his flight response. Pete couldn't imagine rooming with the guy again for another year or two. “Whatever Gary. What are you even doing here?”
“Oh, you know! Just like every snot-nose moron that infect these halls, I was.. forced to.” Gary gritted his teeth and clenched his fist, shaking it a little.
Pete raised a brow, his arms crossed. Forced to? “Yes! Girly-boy,” Did Pete say his thoughts out loud again? Though, with Gary, it could be that he read Pete's expression or that he wanted to continue for the sake of dramatic effect. “-Forced! Forced by the unfortunate trash that gave me life to attend this sorry God-forsaken zoo we call a school.” Gary flopped back on his bed, opposite of Pete's, arms crossed. His back against the wall. “Trust me, this is the LAST place I would want to be. Well, I guess second to that damn asylum.” Petey couldn't say he was shocked. Letting out a sigh, Pete asked mostly to himself, “Why me though?” “I don't know, Petey. Why don't you go ask Dr. Crabs-for-brains? After all, I'm sure he'll tell you with all the sucking up you had to do to get the title of HEAD boy. Or maybe he might even switch you with Hopkins if you offer some ass.” Pete's face flush with embarrassment and scrunched up in absolute disgust at the comment. “You're so gross.”
“I'm not the one sucking cock-” “Whatever, Jerk. I'm outta here.” Pete swiftly turned to walk out of the dorm. “Give the head a good kiss for me~ Right on the ass che-!” Pete slammed the door shut, a bit harder than he wanted to, but within ten minutes in the same room with Gary and Pete was ready to go back home. Too bad his parents wouldn't let him even if he did. 'You spend too much time inside!' 'Go out and play, son!' 'Don't you have a girlfriend, yet?' 'You're sixteen, Pete! Go to the park, go ride a bike, or get drunk at a party- just go do something!' Pete pinched the bridge of his nose while sticking his free hand into his pocket. To think he was even looking forward to the new year. He had FRIENDS.. well a friend and his friend's current... girlfriend? Jimmy never made it clear what Zoe was, but neither did Zoe. He was the head boy, which was bound to gain him some respect. At least by the smaller kids. The cliques were somewhat on good terms since Jimmy beat their asses again. Things were looking up for once. But... Pete should have known better by now, that anything that goes up must come down.
-----------------
“Here he is, Mr. Smith. The perfect model student of Bullworth Academy. Our Head Boy, Paul Kowalski-”Dr. Crabblesnitch stood up and patted Pete on the shoulder. “Peter, sir.” Pete corrected with a muttered. “Aha-yes yes. My mistake. Peter Kowalski.” Dr. Crabblesnitch's hand squeezing Pete's shoulder. His face keeping a stressed smile. “Head Boy?” The gruff voice of the older man asked with a raise brow. Pete tried hard not to frown as he recognized that tone. Mr. Smith plopped down in a empty chair right next to the one that was overturned on the floor. “This puny punk? Ha! He looks like one step away from wearing a dress and changing his name to Patty.” Okay, yeah. They were definitely related. Pete's face twitched in annoyance. “You must be Gary's grandfather. I can see where he gets his sense of humor from.” Petey outstretched his hand out towards Mr. Smith, trying to ignore the painful grip of Dr. Crabblesnitch's hand on his shoulder.
Mr. Smith tilted his head as his mustache swished back and fourth. Pete tried to keep his smile in place. He didn't want to appear weak or intimidated, but the silent tension was making Pete nervous. “Hahaha! Nice to meet you, Peter.” Mr. Smith burst out laughing while he reached out to shake Pete's hand. “Nice. To meet. You. Too... Mr. Smith.” Pete said through gritted teeth, trying to not let the pain show as Mr. Smith crushed Pete's hand in his grip. “Call me Allen, son.” Mr. Smith let go of Pete's hand and leaned back into his chair. He nodded his head slightly, as if he given Pete his approval. Pete let out a slight breath in relief. He folded his arms behind his back and rubbed his aching hand. Jerk. “Nice to meet you, Allen, sir.” --------------------
“So I thought to myself on how we could prevent the past from repeating itself and then it occurred to me. Our major blind spot is among his peers, thus entrusting a student with upstanding morals for the task was top priority.” Dr. Crabblesnitch looked over at Mr. Smith, “Of course, Gary Smith will be tested regularly as well to make absolutely certain that no tampering has arise.” This was a bad idea. A VERY bad idea. Pete couldn't stop Gary last year! He definitely couldn't, didn't WANT to this year. Gary did what Gary wanted too. He could fake it so easily and Pete... Pete was pretty certain all this would bite him in the ass. In more ways than one. “Hmph. Sounds like a lot of hoopla to me.” Allen's voice snapped Pete out of his daze. “S-sir! I was Gary's roommate last year and-and I don't think-” Petey stuttered. He had to say something, anything to try to get out of this. “Splendid! Then you'll already know what his condition is like with or without his medication.” “No-I mean yes, but-!” “Well! You've certainly convinced me, Crabblesnitch. I think its a wonderful idea.” Allen laughed loudly, standing up with a grin. Pete froze as he whipped his face towards Allen in confusion. What were all the adults on in this town?! The old man walked over to him, and slapped his back making the poor boy stumble forward. “I feel quite satisfied that this young lad is going to be playing caretaker to my grandson.” Allen barked. Pete's eyes danced between the headmaster and Mr. Smith. Confusion still written clearly on his face. “Ah, I'm so glad you've come to reason, Mr. Smith. Though Peter is not going to be responsible for Gary Smith's actions, he will at least keep us updated.” Dr. Crabblesnitch letting out a small breath of relief. Pete was too stun to reply. His fate was sealed, just like that.
---------------------
“Ah, finally some fresh air. I was getting tired of smelling all that bullshit in there,” Allen chuckled as he gave Pete a wink. Pete choked on a snort. “It was.. stifling to say the least.” Allen barked a laugh as he started to walk again. “Well, I'm glad there was at least one person that isn't stuck so far up their own ass that they can't smell shit around them.” Pete hummed in response, not sure how to take the compliment.
