Angel cookie outfits is a little too.... Yknow. Luckily there's a costume that worked and I really like the hat it's so so cute🥰! But I did decorate it a bit more since the torso part is kinda blank. (I did mixed two outfits in tho I can't draw toes for my life sake) oh and lemme just SIMEON IN DRESS SIMEONINDRESS what a nice opportunity to draw him in dress woohoo

For wizard cookie I actually like his normal look(especially his scarf it makes everything cuter) but again it's kinda blank and maybe plain. Also I like the pattern on this costume's errr hat? Idk but it's nice. I like the crystal necklace so much, too bad the scepter cover it all. Oh I did use solomon cape/jacket's color tho i love it too much

Compared to eachother I spent more time on Simeon since it's all what I don't used to. If anything I can't figure out how to paint thunder magic(?) at all

this might be a scalding hot take some ppl aren’t gonna like but seamoon is queerbaiting and no amount of talking about how “canon” sf and moonlight are is gonna change the fact they’ve never spoken to each other in any canon piece of media like...ever

like i dont wanna be that guy who says “seamoon isn’t canon stop insisting it is” along with like a million reasons why it’s bad and manipulative and unhealthy because it isn’t. people who say that are usually being weirdos in order to “pwn teh lezbos” (ie they’re lesbophobes), which means they either ship firemoon/seafire and wanna be edgy about the fact their ship upsets people, or they’re one of those people who drools over gay men all day and thinks seamoon is an obstacle somehow to their fetishistic enjoyment of mlm (like firewind’s been relevant since kingdom launched).

no, this is not that post. im not here to write on the piss poor treatment of lesbians and sapphics in the cr fandom, I’m here to present the simple fact that devsis does not care about gay people and they especially do not care about gay women. none of the gay ships that are coded within the game will ever be confirmed but this goes DOUBLE for ships that involve two women in them because like i said before, have seamoon ever had any canon interaction with each other? Is sea fairy on moonlight’s relationship chart? Has seamoon ever been included in ANY kind of romantic/valentine’s day event, and included in a way where both characters are explicitly on screen? (And no, one cup with them doesn’t count—look at how much merch mintcocoa has)

like. look. i get that people want to say espresseleine and wildchip are gay-baiting because devsis is somehow pandering to fujoshis just by making them...exist somehow (which is another thing to dissect in itself—if you think gay men just existing and having fun together is fetishitic, you’ve got things to unpack). which kind of brings home my point that people are so caught up in nitpicking front and center super popular mlm ships that most of them have forgotten there’s a ship predating both by nearly four years and yet still has not seen any canon content beyond vague subtext, and has not seen any content in general since 2019 when the I WANT YOU EVERYDAY mv was released (you all know that one image).

like. holy shit, I need other people to talk about this. the cr fandom is infatuated with men and mlm (which isn’t even completely because of fujos—gay men don’t pretend you’re immune to lesbophobia just because your fav is a lesbian) but the fact it penetrates right down to the source material is appalling. it honestly goes to show how subtly misogynistic the stories of cr can be in general—interactions between two women is rare, almost unheard of in most stories/events, but men have an abundance of them. think of how often rambutan and mala spoke to each other in the season 7 event compared to the number of men clotted cream talked to throughout the entirety of odyssey. the number of canon opportunities for men to be romantic/coded with each other is INFINITELY more than the opportunities women have with each other. like seriously, if you don’t believe me, ask yourself how many women financier talked to that were her own age in cookie odyssey, or how long it’s been since rye and chili have had their story elaborated on. it’s kind of appalling, and devsis is really illicit with it. while I don’t think that fandom behavior is generally a good indicator of how something is treated in canon (devsis does write gnc/fem men well despite how badly the fandom misbehaves with them) but there is a correlation here. there is a pattern. I hope you get my point thus forward and now understand that the lack of wlw content in the fandom is a direct result of misogyny and lesbophobia, something thy goes deeper than hand waving it off by saying “oh the fujoshis are at it again”. guess what! the entire fandom isn’t made up of fujoshis!

idk. hopefully all of that tracked well enough that my through line is clear here. i also hope don’t need to lecture/tell you about the bechdel test and its original purpose (google is free otherwise), and I assume that (hopefully) you are smart enough to go looking for more resources on how lesbianism is by the virtue of misogyny often written out of the possibility of most narratives.

thus, hopefully my conclusion on why this is happening with seamoon makes sense, and hopefully you (especially if you are not sapphic) can understand this better and demand more out of devsis to actually make them talk to each other and actually produce more canon content of the ship. the modus of operandi should not be on us (especially those of us who are sapphic) to keep asking and begging and being okay with scraps.

Uwah 🥺 Thank you very much.............. It always means a lot to me to hear this kind of thing, but it means even more coming from someone shy or someone I haven’t really engaged with before. I like to think that I somehow touched your heart or something corny like that, idk.

I’m actually surprised (but appreciative!!) at all the support I’ve been getting 💦 I was really nervous about making the situation so public (and to be honest, I’m still pretty anxious about this whole thing), but it’s a relief knowing that I’m not alone in thinking what happened/is happening is just... too much...

I’m not actively involved in other fandoms (like, I don’t usually create content for other fandoms), but I do casually enjoy a handful of other games. Danganronpa and Ace Attorney are a few! To a lesser degree, I also like Fire Emblem and I’m kind of (?) slowly easing myself into playing Genshin Impact but I don’t know how I feel about it yet. Other mobile games I like playing include Cookie Run Kingdom, Granblue Fantasy, and, more recently, Dream Meister and the Recollected Black Fairy.

Outside of gaming 😳 I’ve been reading Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun!, Spy x Family, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and The Royal Tutor. I also really enjoy collectible toys (from blind boxes) and fashion dolls, as well as learning about food production (I have a lot of books on the subject)!

My head canon for Atlas/Mantle if Team RWBY wins the fight against Salem. Maybe others have said this but maybe I’m the first, I’d have to check but I tend to just write what comes to mind and I like the ideas I come up with. You may not agree with me and that’s fine.

Winter: General, Winter Maiden, and she’d take on the Schnee name proudly if she’d survive. Gather the rest of the military that she can and along with hunters (gender-neutral term for them) plus the Happy Huntresses and go reclaim the lost land.

Weiss would tag along. Not in the military but a leading power, and maybe since after that and having a direct hand in helping stop Salem the refugees would vote for her to be one of the leaders leading the expedition. Like councilwoman level and would be joined by Robin and Winter as Atlas’s new leaders.

Whitley: I’m sure they would make sure Vale and Beacon is up and running again so once that is done I’d like him to go there. If he is too young still then go to Signal academy to catch up. I’d also like to say he’d get trained by the entire team:

Willow would help him with aura control,

Weiss and Winter would individually help with sword skills and Weiss would help a bit more with understanding the family semblance,

Jaune would help out with sword training as well, Klein can help with changing his diet to befit a huntsman,

Blake teach him how to shoot a gun,

Yang and Winter would teach him the basics of hand-to-hand combat,

Yang would also teach him how to cook along with Ren,

Ren would help him control his emotions in Grimm attack situations and let them be free in safer environments,

Nora would try to counter that with teach him to be free with emotions, Mercury (I want him to become a good guy okay.), Emerald, and Neo would give him an experience to different fighting styles,

Qrow, Tai, and maybe Raven (IDK) would help him understand with a longer lasting expertise in their profession, Oscar would be with him as they train and learn together,

Ruby would teach him how to bake and would help him with weapon design and gear design as in how things work and what would be best to include. She’ll let him do the looks design.

And here is something for me personally because I’m a heavy Whiterose shipper and want it for endgame, but maybe there is something you’ll agree with so you don’t need to take it into account because of Whiterose and rather a nice head canon.

Once everything settles down Ruby is finally able to play video games again and Whitley sees her play them from time to time again. Jacques never allowed him to ‘indulge himself in something so useless’ and he’s rather interested with it. He finally starts hanging around the couch more and Ruby offers him to play, he accepts and he sucks at it. Gets Ruby’s character killed multiple times but he’s rather happy to try it out.

(More Ruby specific) Ruby, Pietro, and some other scientists (I head canon Ruby to be really smart and dumb at the same time, she can go from some new scientific discovery to “Hey Weiss, how long do I microwave mayonnaise for?”) get to work on redesigning the CTC towers so they can link up with other kingdoms even if one falls but it isn’t the best way to do so, and Ruby specifically gets assigned with Pietro to design a satellite. Pietro had his scroll which I’m sure had Amity’s satellite blueprints on it or he knows how it worked so they can get to work right away. Everyone has seen the blueprints and they’d say they’re very impressed, the Schnees, are absolutely in awe at the blueprints. Not because they were designed by ‘a child’ but rather the complexity.

All Schnees are nerds change my mind.

Ruby teaches Whitley, Weiss, and maybe Winter, Summer’s cookie recipe and her favorite variant of it so they can make it for Willow. Weiss likes to make them for Ruby and her team, she adds them to her coffee/tea, and Whitley baked them once for Ruby as an appreciation.

Whitley goes to Ruby whenever he gets into a fight with his sisters as she can relate more being the youngest, Weiss goes to Ruby a lot so she normally hears both of their sides, and gets Winter’s side either from directly talking to her for a different standpoint or from Yang. Winter goes to Yang because she’s the only other older sibling.

Whitley grows to view Weiss more like the way Weiss did with Winter during Beacon but he doesn’t hold back. He is following her around like a puppy at times and would rather stay close, and if he is in Beacon by that time or Weiss leaves to reclaim said lost land and she visits you bet that he will just outright tackle her. And, as guilty as he feels about this, Ruby is his third favorite. Above Winter and Willow. Who’s second you may ask? Klein, need I explain more?

I have a little bit on Weiss and Winter, should I continue another post with them individually? Probably. Need to let the ideas out.

I did this Tier Ranking the other day of Zelda’s with the most to least amount of agency in their games, and I’m going to be honest... I’m still thinking about it. I was getting so annoyed when I played SS the other day because of something that happens that made me mad. So now, I’m going to rant about every single Zelda because she deserves better. 

This is my short essay on which Zelda’s have agency in their games and why. Omg if only I could have done that topic in grad school. 

So this was my list. 

Before you keep going, this is just spoiler central. So, if you haven’t played, say SS yet, heads up.

I’m going to start by saying I’ve never played the Four Swords games nor watched a playthrough. IDK why there are 4 of her, but maybe it’s just ironic to have 4 of them? But that’s my ‘don’t know’ pile. Maybe she’s epic, but I remember her being captured by Vaati in an intro to the GBA game, so I doubt it.

Most Agency: Wind Waker Tetra, Sheik, and Spirit Tracks Zelda

I almost feel like this part of the list goes without saying. Tetra (WW) is a queen. She’s a captain, has a crew, goes where she wants, helps Link, hurts Link, literally, queen. 

Sheik should also go without saying. We don’t see a lot of Sheik actually doing things, but we know she’s doing them. She’s been all over Hyrule for 7 years training, and keeping the world spinning. During the game alone, we know she’s out there rescuing Ruto, trying to fight the spirits in the well, etc. So we don’t see it, but we know it. 

And Spirit Tracks Zelda! SHE’S YOUR LITERAL COMPANION!!! SHE’S WITH YOU THE WHOLE GAME, FINDS A WAY TO FIGHT, HELPS, IS FUNNY, IS ACTIVE IN THE KINGDOM, AND IS AN ALL AROUND UNDERATED ZELDA. She lost a little agency because she has no body, but she didn’t let it stop her.

OOT Zelda isn’t in it for long as adult Zelda, and she does get trapped in a crystal almost immediately, but you know she was training for years and managed to stay out of sight of Ganon. And at the end, she holds up an entire castle for you to escape. I want her on my team, but I’d prefer Sheik. Plus, this Zelda is one in SSB sooo does that count? I don’t think so but whatever. I wanted to put her lower, but I was thinking of her off screen and she managed to make it up into the ‘good’ agency pile. 

BOTW Zelda. She’s got a lot more agency in AOC than BOTW because she just runs around and basically commands the whole kingdom's army after a while, but in BOTW, she’s held back by everyone! She had the potential! She wasn’t a damsel, she was a smart cookie, she had character, but everyone was like nah girl. Go wander Hyrule doing stuff. And she did! Not because she had agency, but because everyone told her to. She wanted to work with the tech! Let her work with the tech!

And TP Zelda, my girl, I love the thought of this Zelda SO MUCH!! SHE HAS A SWORD!! SHE COULD HAVE USED IT IN THE GAME!! THE CUTSCENE WAS RIGHT THERE!!!!! But you know she defended Hyrule off screen anyway, literally fought with her soldiers to protect her people. Gave her literal life of her own accord, took full blame for things, like, no one told this girl no. She was full blown agency... except that she was locked in a tower for the whole game, then went poof, then got turned into a puppet, then only managed to show off her battle badassery in ONE SCENE aka one of the best multi-stage final boss battles. Just could have pushed her further.

Okay Agency: Child OOT Zelda, SS Zelda, ALBW Zelda

Child Zelda. She’s a child. She gave Link an instrument and was forcibly (but thankfully) spirited away on horseback. She doesn’t really DO much at this point. But she WILL! So she’s cool, but she’s just a wee sprout still! 

SS Zelda: Don’t hit me! I love her, her general plot, and her relationship with Link. But she isn’t even allowed to hug him. She is dragged everywhere, captured MULTIPLE times, stuck in a big old amber crystal thing FOR I DON’T REMEMBER HOW LONG, nearly sacrificed, and is bombarded with memories of a life that wasn’t technically hers and she has to sort through being Hylia and not just Zelda. Poor bean. She’s not at the bottom because you can tell that before the game, she was top tier agency queen.  

ALBW Zelda is just... meh. She’s not as bad as ALTTP Zelda, but she doesn’t really do much and then gets stuck in a painting for most of the game. Points if we’re counting Smash Bros again though!

ALTTP Zelda is just a sad, sad tale of ‘can you be more damsel in distress if you tried’? She: starts the game in a cell, hides in a sanctuary, is kidnapped again, is sacrificed, is stuck in a crystal, and finally, is chilling in the end credits. Girl. I’m so sorry for you. 

Oracle Zelda is apparently the same Zelda as ALTTP and it shows. She hangs out in a house and tells you the weather and then (you guessed it) is kidnapped and nearly sacrificed. This poor bean has gone through too much. 

OG Zelda literally pops up at the end of the game and is like HEY you’ve been trying to save me this whole time, in case you didn’t know. And Link’s like omg I have?? Because I don’t even remember her being mentioned outside the info pamphlet and the ending. 

Out of order, but Zelda II, she’s the most relatable, because she sleeps the whole game. She’s under a curse, wakes up, sees Link and is like damn you’re cute, and kisses him. If we use the info booklet, it gets worse and her brother used a spell to blah blah. She sleeps. That’s all she does. 

Minish Cap Zelda is so precious at the beginning of the game and you can tell her and Link are besties and I wanted more of that! AND THEN SHE’S TURNED TO STONE THE WHOLE GAME. But no, wait, she’s...... almost sacrificed in the process. Deja vu. 

Wind Waker Zelda was cool in the final scene, but she spent her entire portion of the game trapped in a basement against her will for her protection. No agency. That’s really all the poor thing gets to do as Zelda. 

THEN THE DIRTIEST OF ALL DONE DIRTY CHARACTER MOVES IS PHANTOM HOURGLASS TETRA! ONE OF THE BEST ZELDA’S REDUCED TO NOTHING! SHE IS CAPTURED IMMEDIATELY AND SPENDS THE ENTIRE GAME AS A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS WHO HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED AND TURNED TO STONE. I’m still salty and will hate Phantom Hourglass forever for many reasons, and Tetra being done dirty is one of them. 

I feel better now. If anyone actually read all this and has other thoughts on this, I’m fired up and ready to talk because who needs to sleep at 1:30am? Not me!!

FEH - "The outside world...! So vast!" (+10 WIP Sophia mini-showcase and appreciation)

So, with the [Feh Pass] subscription, I've been auto battling as much as I could while doing whatever else and gather [Hero Feathers] to get all the [HM] I had yet to get, and it was absolutely worth it, although I've already spent like 300 out of my 900+ something [Stamina Bottles] in the [Forging Bonds] lmao, I have around 660 now.

But with the obtained [Hero Feathers] I merged up Tailtiu to +6 and...

I'm happy to have finished merging Sophia at long last which makes of her my eleventh fully merged project soon after New Year Eir, her build is pretty much done but I'd be delighted to give her more premium stuff she can use in the future and make more builds, as well as giving her the remaining [Dragonflowers (I)] but I'm so close to fully boost Sonya and then I have to boost OG and Legendary Julia because of the post-[CYL 2021] update. 🥴

But her current build does wonders already, true, she's not impervious to nearly everything as it is, but I can give her some team support and the like, she's still great on her own.

Now, onto appreciation talk which includes describing her a little and explaining why I like her. I did this in one of my previous posts but it's time to review the info we have about her and expand on it. As always, feel free to read on (long read ahead)...

About Sophia

She's a half-dragon, half-human girl with the power of foresight, she's a priestess residing in Arcadia, a village that houses manaketes that survived one of the most vicious wars from past lore (The Scouring) located in the southwestern desertic region (Nabata) in Elibe, the continent on which the sixth and seventh Fire Emblem games take place in, she's a playable [Shaman] in the former and makes a minor appearance as a NPC near the end of the latter. Her class makes of her one of the two playable dark magic users in Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals (the other is the guy you're most likely to get while pulling on red stones in FEH, a.k.a. Raigh), and she gains access to basic staves after promoting to [Druid].

In her support convo with Niime, it's revealed that Sophia's father was human, meaning that her mother was a dragon, but neither's identity is ever known to the player. But despite this, she never transforms into a dragon, most likely because she never had her own stone to contain those powers. Being half-dragon also allows her to live much longer, but not as purebred manaketes/dragons.

She's fully self-aware of her heritage and doesn't let that bother her, she accepts both halves of herself which make of her a whole person.

She's somewhat important around the half of the game's duration as she helps a gravely injured Cecilia to at least tend to her wounds while waiting for Roy's army to rescue them as they were both thrown into a prison under Bern's control (the kingdom invading the other countries during the events of the game).

Sophia displays a shy and gentle personality, showing clear astonishmnet yet in a calm way when witnessing what the outside world is like and what it has to offer (beyond the village she's been living for around a century), this is most evidenced in her support dialogues with Igrene. She even feels similarly when wearing a new set of clothes, such as those of Embla in the World of Zenith, anytime after she joins the Order of Heroes.

She also mentions she was raised to avoid outsiders, and in the same aforementioned support convo, it's mentioned why.

«I understand what he's saying... The Dragons' powers could easily destroy entire countries. If the outsiders found out, they would surely fight over it. I've seen many conflicts like that in my life...»

And it's understandable why she feels that way after being raised by the elder of the village to do as told for decades. But in the end, she wants to work towards a world of peace where both dragons and humans live together without a war ever spreading out, and befriend other people, she's appreciative of other's kindness.

So... why do I like her?

Because she's purple-haired and most of her design has purple and I love purple soooooo much, that's all you need to know. :)

...Kidding kidding, that's not actually it, but it's in part true that I find her aesthetic pleasing, partially due to my passion for this color:

Her design is rather simple but so charming, clearly evidencing her shyness (see the way she holds her book and her facial expression), and feeling clean without going overboard on details.

Also, I find long, purple hair a rather rare yet dazzling sight, I always look at it in her artwork and remins me why I love her design.

True, her neck in Zaza's take on Sophia in Fire Emblem Heroes bothered me a little, mostly because her neck is a little long as seen above, but not as slim as long as Zaza has drawn her (it's still a decent artwork and the artist has made some really nice pieces later, look at Emmeryn), the style also felt a little off to me. But her Resplendent upgrade made Sophia look more cute and still being the one we know, doning a brand new attire.

But for me, it's pointless to be pretty if there's not a likeable personality behind the character in question, and Sophia has been proven to be really interesting, often a mysterious but shy girl, she's capable of kindness and finding comfort with outsiders like Kiran or Roy, when I see her, I always feel that she's so nice, never feeling bitterness towards any of her allies, just being shy due to how she's grown, but with a desire for friendship and peace pushing her forward, even slowly but surely, she's so lovely. 🥰

What's more, some of her quotes show she has a protective side, determined to stand up to help her allies but specially those she's close with, this eventually includes Kiran themselves.

Her voice in Fire Emblem Heroes is also really soothing, Wendee Lee has made such a delightful work giving new life to Sophia through her voice acting, there sure are differences between her work back in 2017 (Sophia is a launch unit, meaning she's been around ever since the game was live) and the work on the Resplendent in 2020, yet both are pretty consistent and equally pleasant to hear. But if I have to vouch for one or another, I give a point to the Resplendent voice acting, her voice can be heard with a little more depth and calmness to it than the original, which feels more natural.

And she's a dark magic practitioner but that doesn't make her evil at all, she's really pure actually. But I actually find dark magic most appealing out of any kind of weapon I have ever seen, the whole concept is cool, being always creepy and nefarious in nature, often portrayed in hues of black and dark purple.

And like, c'mon, this thing is amazing:

I wish that [Apocalypse] was her PRF weapon in Fire Emblem Heroes but neither Raigh nor Bramimond who's its OG owner got it and just got random PRFs instead.

Anyway, in short, I adore Sophia and it always makes me happy to turn a seemingly weak unit into a tough to crack cookie, love for favorites sure can take them far.

I've been trying her mainly against the foes she has advantage with, but I've been also trying her against red/blue units and sometimes she does a nice job holding them at bay, she has low speed even after all this investment but with buffing it's somewhat usable.

Yet I prefer to focus on her strengths, not weaknesses, and she stands as a fairly good magic tank, with the few extras she enjoys as a launch unit and full demote plus Resplendent skin since around the first weeks of the [Feh Pass].

I actually tried her here some time after posting this because I didn't notice the [Limited Hero Battle] for today requires you use FE6 units, so I went with my faves in the game and it was rather easy. 🙂 But it still took a little thinking.

Hmm... actually gonna (at least try to) work on Lilina, another one of my Elibian favorites. I also have her Resplendent upgrade and could revamp her kit. 🤔

But she's currently +3 so her turn might take longer or someone's else may come before, Idk.

And then, hopefully someone I like out of the next potential Resplendent Heroes...!

vulnerabilities. he has that pesky devoted streak, which means he will go to at least some extreme lengths to protect the ones he loves and/or feels responsible for (and the list of those he feels responsible for to some degree is perhaps a more populated one than even he realizes). physically, well. i’ll just take this time to remind everyone of that one point in the movie where he’s tossed aside like a wet towel by the cat king. he also has about 10% of the stamina he should have, thanks to inactivity lmao

Fuck it okay let’s talk kingdom mechanics for my ocs

Frankly I’m pretty sure the Twin Dragon cookies are gonna be npcs, maybe they get a treasure themed after them though idk but I’d they appeared in the game- WAIT THEYD BE A BOSS

yeah yeah they’d be a boss fight/mini boss fight. They’re protecting the soul jam and demand the player prove their worth in combat. When you defeat them you’ve proven yourself worthy and let you pass.

There also has to be a scene where they talk with dark cacao and they missed hiiiim.

Also if you talk to them with dark choco in thr party they will comment on it, possibly also being like “we haven’t seen you since you were little! You’ve grown my prince”

Choco syrup is definitely an npc though, but he’d probably get his own little alcove area and dialogue where he treats the team to warm drinks and talks about his own thoughts on the state of the dark cacao kingdom. He also asks if caramel arrow is alright since they’re friends.

Now for playable characters:

Gummy Bear cookie would be an Rare ambush class, middle row. For his skill he dashes ahead and deals damage to the enemy with the lowest health, he then summons two gummy bear teddy minions who act like other summons, dealing damage before fading, possibly they have a debuff like healing Down or defense down. He attacks by throwing needles

Marshmallow fluff would be an Ancient magic class, middle row. This may change but her skill has her summoning cake hounds, but unlike other summons they will immediately despawn when the special is over, they attack all enemies, while the skill is active marshmallow fluff herself has an attack boost, possibly also casting an attack buff on the party as well. She attacks with cosmic flame looking projectiles

I’m still unsure how to properly translate her oven magic to a game mechanic, but I am loosely plotting out a story event around her. Call it “the forgotten ancient” or soemthing, if she has story mode levels it’d be after all of the other ancient’s stories, possibly including white lily, but it could happen before that as well.

Blueberry dragon cookie would be a epic support class, middle row. When her skill activates she drops ice crystals on all enemies which have a small chance of causing frozen, higher chance of casting a slowness debuff. Allies get a small defense buff as well. She attacks with ice breath/claws at closer range
