And that's why friends should sleep in other beds
And friends shouldn't kiss me like you do
And I know that there's a limit to everything
But my friends won't love me like you do

The turning color of the leaves create the prettiest backdrop, tall trees blooming with orange, red, and a pinch of brown. The ones that have already fallen to the ground get swept up under the wheels of Eddie's car, lifting up and swirling around in a pretty dance, and falling right back into place waiting for the next car.
Although the crisp fall morning is peaceful you can't help but feel like you're living a nightmare. As he soft hum of Eddie's playlist flows through the speakers, you're coming up with a plan to turn the whole car around.
So far you thought about faking an illness, one that would stop the whole journey in it's tracks, only to dismiss it because you couldn't put your best friend through that stress. The idea of pulling the steering wheel also came to mind but you quickly threw that out of the window, not wanting to cause injury to the innocent man next to you or anyone else. Your final idea was one you're sure you could pull off as long as you used all the power within your being. If you pushed your feet on the floorboard hard enough, you could poke them out like the Flintstones and stop the car that way.
Between science and logic, you knew that wasn't possible no matter how hard you wished it would. Instead you'll stare out the window, watching all the pretty trees dance in the wind while you push down the rising anxiety that's forming in the pit of your stomach.
"You good over there, Birdie?" The deep voice next to you shakes you from your thoughts.
Turning your head Eddie's already looking at you with a lopsided grin. His demeanor matches the landscape outside, relaxed and serene. As you look at him you wish you could trade places, be as pleasant as he is.
"Yeah I'm just tired." Trying to sell him your answer, you smile lazily at him even though your response holds more tension than a game of tug of war.
Turning his attention back on the road, you watch as the pavement moves on the darkened lenses of his sunglasses. Eddie looks pretty like this, even though you always thinks he looks pretty. Usually he would be a grump having to be up this early, but today he wears his smile like a badge of honor. The dark curls of his hair cascade down his back, while some falls over his shoulders.
He's wearing the same red and black checkered flannel he always does this time of year, the same one you said was your favorite three years ago and it still holds that title. Underneath is a plain black tee shirt, the only one he has that's free of any band name, and a dark blue pair of jeans that have no holes.
He's still the same Eddie, his rings still sit on his fingers and his pick still hangs from the chain around his neck, but it seems that he only gets prettier and prettier as time passes by - like the turning leaves that still hang on the branches of the trees that you drive by.
"I think you're worried about this whole wedding thing," His voice is unwavering, screaming "I'm right" like it always does. "I don't get what's so bad about an open bar and free food."
Although his point is valid, Eddie couldn't be more wrong than that. This wasn't just an event to get drunk for free and stuffed to the gills at no charge. This was your older sister's wedding, the same sister that was the apple of your parents' eyes. Veronica was your arch nemesis since birth, a rival that you had no option but to defeat in order to survive.
You were the outcast of the family, the black sheep if you will, and you had to endure eighteen years of nonstop torture because of it. Your parents, Christine and Tim, were nothing but successful. The doctor and his trophy wife, the star couple in your small community, that had two beautiful and healthy children.
However you were the hardheaded child, the daughter that didn't have a bright future, you didn't carry as much promise as Vee, and your parents made sure to remind you of that every day. So when you moved out three years ago, you made sure to distance yourself as much as you could. But when you received a pristine white envelope with a glamorous invite on the inside, you were roped right back into the hell hole you worked so hard to leave behind.
You could've just ignore it, faked that you were on a trip and couldn't make it but your mother pretty much threatened you into showing up. So that's how you ended up in the countryside right outside of Chicago, driving in Eddie's Toyota Corolla to the Jefferson Manner on a Friday at eight am.
"You're right, Eddie, I should be so thrilled by that. Thank you so much for pointing it out to me." It's snippy with a hint of malice, and your eye roll held enough venom to injure an army of men.
Whistling loudly, Eddie chuckles lightly. "Woah, killer. Relax, I was just tryna help." He's still soft despite your outburst, sweet like your pumpkin spice latte that sits in the cupholder.
Hanging your head, you inhale a deep breath and release it slowly. "I'm sorry, Eds. I just really fucking hate my family."
He switches his attention from you and the road, taking in your saddened features. Reaching his right hand over the console, he places his hand searches for yours and laces his fingers through yours, which you gladly except.
"Don't apologize for that, kay? That's a valid reason for you to not want to go, I was just trying to make you laugh." The sincerity in his voice wraps around you, easing the nerves that go haywire in your body.
His palm is warm like the coffee cups that sit in the cup holders, his voice is as calming as the trees in the wind, and his smile is just as pretty as it was the first day you met him. You're safe with him, the safest you've ever been in your life, and here in the front seat of his car he reminds you of that.
"They just make me crazy, s'why I don't like seeing them." You feel shy being vulnerable, refusing to meet his gaze by focusing on tracing the back of his hand with your free one.
Eddie doesn't mind, instead he reassures you with a quick squeeze of your hand. "If it makes you feel any better, Birdie, I like you a little crazy."
Dimples deep as the sea and smile still as delicate as a flower's pedal, Eddie looks like a painting that hangs in the Louvre. You want to capture this moment of him to have for the rest of your life, so no matter what you can always remember him just like this.
"You say that now." You tease and he eats it right up.
Looking back over to you, he shines his smile onto you, filling you up with the light of a million stars. "And I'll say it till the end of time." There's no tease to it, nothing but truth in the way he says it.
It turns you into jelly, the feelings that swim through your blood stream, and now you've become too sheepish to answer. You decided to trust your touch over your words, squeezing his hand the same way he did to yours, trying your best to communicate the feelings you hold secretly in your heart for your best friend.
Tumblr media
The cobblestone driveway leading to the entrance of Jefferson Manner is, for a lack of a better word, beautiful. It is a straight drive to the property, but once you get closer, a large fountain sits in the middle where the arch of the circle driveway starts.
Different colored cars are already lined up, some you recognize and the rest you have no clue who they belong to. Either way it's pretty evident that Eddie 2018 Toyota sticks out like a sore thumb.
The same dread that you left 45 miles back, is now running through you again. Unintentionally, you squeeze his hand harder as your heart begins to pound in your ear and if it hurts him he doesn't mention it. Instead, Eddie gives you one, two, three squeezes and then lets you continue your attempt to stop the blood flow to his hand.
Pulling behind the Mercedes Benz S Class, he puts his car into park and then shuts the car off. Reading your expression the way he always does, he sits in the silence of the car with you until your features loosen up.
"You okay, Birdie?" Even though he knows you're not okay, you still appreciate him asking anyway.
Breathe in. This is temporary. Breathe out. This is not forever. Breathe in. I am safe. Breathe out. I am here.
You repeat this to yourself a few times, eyes clamped shut as you focus on your breathing pattern. Once your head is above water and your heart stops racing, you open your eyes back up to the real world.
Relaxing your shoulders, you let go of the grip you're holding Eddie's hand in. "I'm okay. I'll be okay." Despite answering him, it sounds like you're trying to convince yourself of what you're saying.
Another brief pause goes by and Eddie continues to monitor you, sunglasses now removed so not only can he see you but you can see him.
Your gaze is unwavering, the thousand yard stare has fallen over you and you have yet to dig out of it. "Are you prepared for what we're about to walk into?"
The tone of your voice scares Eddie, the emotion being sucked right out of the words that you speak despite the feelings that battle in your mind that he doesn't know about.
"Honey, I'm prepared for anything as long as I have you." For a split second he winces, wondering if that was too cringy but when your face breaks out into a sweet smile he feels better.
The two of you get out of the car, retrieving your suitcases and dress bags from the trunk. When the door shuts you begin to count the steps it takes to get to the big wooden doors of the mansion.
You don't have to ask Eddie for his hand, he's already giving it to you and you gladly except it, gripping on for dear life the closer you get. Despite the beautiful landscape and the soothing sound of the running fountain, you feel like this is the soundtrack that plays before your imminent death.
Tumblr media
The tall, thick, wooden doors sit menacingly in front of you, the skeletons of your past standing just right behind it waiting for your arrival. The ghosts that have haunted your dreams, the graveyard of your history, and the phantoms of your family, mingle and laugh right behind this door.
Eddie waits for you, not moving a muscle until you say so, and you silently thank him with a smile. Like a switch, he watches your face change from flight to fight mode. In a flash your looking over your outfit, brushing down the long black sleeved shirt that sits on your torso, and then straightening out the jeans that stick to your legs.
Your hair is the next thing you frantically fix, pushing it behind your ears and out of your face, letting it fall over your shoulders while doing so. Like a buzzing bee, you zone in on Eddie, fixing the collar of his flannel and then smoothing the material of his shirt. With out speaking, you pick off a singular piece of fuzz from his pants and then let it blow away in the wind.
Moving your hands back up to his chest, you center the pick on his chain. Then move his hair, fixing the ringlets that got blown around in the breeze. Once your satisfied, you move back to your spot next to him and sweep his hand right back into your hold. Releasing on more deep breath, you settle your pinched eyebrows and your determined eyes, and let the worst fake smile settle onto your lips.
The smile doesn't reach your eyes the way it usually does, your teeth push against one another so forcibly Eddie wonders if you'll shatter teeth, and you simply look like your in pain. Either way, you push open the big oak door and let yourself inside with him following right behind.
Tumblr media
The lobby of the manner is everything you expected, high ceilings, a crystal chandelier, and every single family member of yours gathered around sipping champagne and speaking to each other like a potential client.
Even though it's magnificent inside with the beautiful décor and lively plants, the sight of everyone in their gaudy outfits and cheap laughter makes it feel like an eternal hell.
Eddie must feel the way your shoulders tense because he's quickly leaning into you, his voice just a whisper in the shell of your ear.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay. You have me and I won't let anything happen." He reminds you, his smile is more sympathetic than anything.
Nodding your head you remain smiling, it's awful and it hurts even doing it but if you want to survive the whirlpool of piranhas, then you just have to fake it until you make it.
"If it isn't our lovely Birdie!" The sound of your mother's voice is like silk, smooth and confident, just like she always was. Walking over to you, she holds a champagne flute in her hand and you wonder how much the bubbling spritz cost your father.
The last time you've seen her was last winter, her million dollar smile outshining the Swarovski crystal tree decorations that sit behind her. Your mother has always been beautiful but her insides are rotten, ugly and maggot infested, all hidden behind the mask that she put on for everyone to see.
You gave up a long time ago trying to figure out her brain, finally accepting defeat to the maze that was her mind. Now when you look at your mother all you see is a shell, a hallow covering that has nothing to offer you other than it's pretty design.
Pulling you into a hug, you're hit with her scent. She smells like Dior and cashmere, the Chanel outfit that sits on her body scratches your skin, and the pearl necklace she wears jabs you right in your collarbone.
"Hello mother, thank you for inviting me to such a wonder occasion." You instantly revert back to your old accent, the same one your mother instilled into you from the time you could even under stand the English language.
A faux laugh comes from her bright red lips, "No need for that, darling, you're always welcome." Her manicured hand waves at you in fake genuineness.
The smile on your face continues to show and you hate to think it matches hers. Even with the sweet tone you use and the gentleness of your actions, the blood that runs through your body continues to boil the longer she stands there.
Eddie on the other hand stands next to you completely and utterly amused by your fake performance. The snort he lets out when you continue to use your "eloquent" voice is quickly covered up by a sniffle.
Like a vulture, your mother's eyes are quick to zero in on the curly haired man next to you. "Excuse my daughter for her bad manner of not introducing us, I'm Christine."
The minute her hand reaches out for a handshake, you're heart stops. This is the one thing that could make or break this whole trip and it was the only thing you didn't prepare your best friend for. Many years of your life, you were trained that a handshake is all it takes for someone to learn about you.
Without skipping a beat, Eddie simply picks embraces her hand like a prince out of a Disney movie and places a kiss to the back of her unwrinkled hand.
"What a pleasure to meet you, Christine, I'm Eddie. And might I say how beautiful you are."
He's all dimples and doe eyes staring at your mother, a true prince charming in his red flannel and jeans. His voice is like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day, it's smooth going down your throat and it warms your belly better than any blanket can.
That warmth is now tingling your body, a frenzy of butterflies flapping around in the walls of your heart. It clearly works on your mother as well but unlike you she doesn't hide it very well.
"You're really the charmer, Eddie." It's flirtatious and alluring, the same voice she put on for every pool boy your father ever hired.
Annoyance and anger floods through you and you know that your eyes would be shining green to anyone with a trained eye.
While she clutches her pearls and eyes Eddie like he's a four course meal, you intervene into the conversation before it can continue.
"Where's daddy? I'd really like for my boyfriend to meet him." You bat your eyelashes like a pageant queen and your arm acts like a python wrapping around Eddie's, making a mark on what is yours.
"Oh you're father's around here somewhere, you know how he is." She dismisses, taking a drink from her glass and swallowing down the golden liquid quickly. "So how long have you and Birdie here been dating?"
"It's going to be two years next month. Isn't that right, honey?" Eddie turns to you and gives you a playful smile.
Looking back at him you hope he can see the misery that hides being your eyes, a white flag of surrender.
Your mother on the other hand doesn't care about your answer, that's why she didn't ask you. She's reading Eddie, trying to see how much she can push your so called boyfriend until she gets what she wants.
"Well that's just wonderful, young love is a beautiful experience. You have to be careful with Birdie here, she's known to leave the nest quickly." It's a jab, a spiteful and mean comment headed right for your gut.
Eddie doesn't miss the way you're lips falter for a second, the flash of hurt in your eyes. It kills him watching you stand there and take all the comments from your mother like stray bullets.
Turning his attention back to your mother, he gives her a smile, one that you would know as a wicked one but to a stranger would seem kind. "I don't think that will be a problem. Birdie knows where her home is."
It's a direct warning, a clear sign to your mother to not mess with you or what is yours. Just him sticking up for you like that makes your stomach twist in excitement, a feeling you've grown so used to over the course of friendship with Eddie.
"Well, I'm glad she finally found her place then." Your mother responds coldly, clearly hearing the bite in his tone. "Why don't you two go find your room and get settled in, rehearsal dinner is in a few."
Before retreating into the large crowd of family, your mother turns back to you in one more attack.
"Oh and Birdie, wear something that will hide that stomach. Don't want anyone to assume you've been knocked up."
Tumblr media
Once you've found your room, you all but rush Eddie inside slamming the door behind you. In the quiet safety of your suite, you can relax your shoulders that have been sitting high since you've arrive.
"Jesus Bird, you weren't lying." Eddie says as he flops himself on the queen sized bed.
You don't respond, instead you squeeze your eyes shut and try to calm the heaviness of your breathing. Behind the darkness of your eyes, little twinkles of stars flash from how hard you have them closed, the swooshing of your heart continuing in your ears like angry waves of the sea.
Breathe in. This is temporary. Breathe out. This is not forever. Breathe in. I am safe. Breathe out. I am here.
You repeat this to yourself over and over again, trying to erase the cruel words of your mother and the images of disgusted family member's faces out of your mind. You're not sure how long you've been standing by the door until a hand grasps at your wrist lightly.
"Birdie," Eddie's coax goes unanswered, "Come on, Birdie."
Warm calloused hands travel to the plump of your cheeks, lifting your face up just enough that he can see you. Finally opening your eyes, you're relieved to be looking into the golden whiskey pools of his.
Smoothing his thumb over your cheek he doesn't say anything, just lets your breathing calm down. Here you are, in the nice room behind the shelter of the locked door, and he's here.
Breathe in. It's okay. Breathe out. You're safe. Breathe in. You are here. Breathe out. So is he.
It's enough to let your feet move on the plush white carpeting, while Eddie leads you to the bed with the tug of your arm. Sitting on the plush mattress on crisp linen sheets you're grounded, and with the heat of Eddie sitting next to you and his hand in yours, you're anchored.
Tumblr media
The rehearsal dinner goes over well enough, the Irish mule helping with every single speech that's given and every horror story of your childhood that is told. Luckily for you, Vee didn't ask you to be in her bridal party so you didn't have to attend the actual wedding rehearsal, and even better you won't have to deal with her for the real thing tomorrow.
Eddie does great at dinner, he talks to your father who surprisingly likes him, both getting along over their love for vintage cars. Your soon to be brother in law and his groomsmen also get along with Eddie, they laugh and cut up most of the time while clinking beer bottles together. Not to mention every single woman there wanted to get into his pants, swooning at everything he said and giving him the 'fuck me' eyes while doing it.
You hated it, every single minute of it. Like always you were ignored, simply looked over until some story was being told where you were ultimately the joke of. Any time someone asked you what you were doing with your life, you were met with cringing smiles and snickering laughs.
Four separate times your mother commented on your dress, the way it fit, the price value of it, and how it really wasn't a good color on you. All of your sisters friends rolled their eyes and whispered back and forth while staring at you, aunts and uncles acted dumbfounded when you told them that you were a freelance writer for a small music magazine back in Indy, and your cousins made comments about how badly you look since the last time you saw them.
It didn't matter anyway, even if your sister asked how you managed to get a stand up guy like Eddie to agree to be with you, in front of all of the guests. You had to remind yourself that you were there for the free booze and food or whatever the hell Eddie said in the car on the way here.
This wasn't a popularity contest for you, it was simply you being forced to do something against your wishes because your mother said so. You asked yourself why you even listened to her in the first place while letting the brown liquor burn in your stomach.
Why was it so important that you even showed up here? Why did you have to come to the awarding ceremony of favorite kid when you knew you weren't going to win? Why would you even set yourself up for such failure just because your mom said so?
Well, you're answer came when a flushed faced Eddie was laughing with your grandparents at one of the round tables in the corner. His eyes crinkled at the sides and his head was leaned back so you had a clear view of the neck you loved so much.
Then you looked over at your sweet looking grandparents who laughed loudly at whatever was said. Your grandmother had her hands on her cheeks, shaking her head back and forth, and beaming brightly. Your grandfather smiled around his cigar, big round belly jumping with laugher, and his cheeks smooshing up against the frames of his big glasses.
You didn't come here to win a competition. You didn't come here because your mother threatened you within an inch of your life if you didn't. You didn't come here because you thought it would be fun.
You showed up because you wanted to prove to the people who doubted you for so long just how happy you were. You wanted to prove that happiness doesn't come from the amount of money in your account or how many rooms sit in your house. You came here because you wanted to prove that they were wrong, that the grass on the other side of the fence could be green too, and that someone who grew up differently that you could still do amazing things.
Eddie was someone that your father would've had you kicked out over bringing him home in high school. Eddie was the boy your mother would tell you to stay far away from. Eddie was the kind of guy that your sister wouldn't look twice at because of who he was.
But right now, during the beautiful dinner the night before your sister's wedding, your best friend/fake boyfriend has them all wrapped around his guitar calloused finger.
-
Not much has been said between you and him, especially when he was the man of the hour. You're not really complaining though, you're happy that he made a good impression with them. When the night began to settle into your bones and the alcohol started to make you tipsy, you slyly walked up to Eddie and tugged on his sleeve to let him know it was time to go.
On the walk back to the room, you sway slightly with every step you take, balancing on the walls with one hand while the other holds your strappy heels. When Eddie stops and turns to the door of your room, you all but smack into him with clumsy steps.
While he fumbles with key, you're in blissful content with your eyes closed. The kick of the lock and the turn of the handle doesn't even pull you out of your daze, instead you hold your arms out like a mummy and feel around until you find Eddie's clothed back.
You can tell Eddie is laughing by the large breath that passes through his nose and the tell tale sign of him kissing his teeth. Large hands wrap around your wrists, guiding you into the doorway that you can't see.
Your cheeks are warm, the smile on your face is permanent, and the buzzing in your heart makes you feel light on your feet.
"Alright mummy, lets get you into bed." Letting go of his hold on you, you feel him slightly brush past you to close the door. His voice sounds like the way stars look, sparkling and bright, twinkling all around.
You giggle, eyes still shut and your nose scrunched up. "M'not a mummy but I could be if ya want."
Putting your arms out, you lean back and forth on your feet to mimicking what you think is a mummy but looks more like a zombie.
"Baaaaahhhhh, I'm a mummy. Be very afraid." You deepen your voice, dragging the syllables of every word to make them come out slower.
Eddie must be entertained because the sound of a loud raspberry comes from where he stands, the clear sign of him losing the grip on the laugh he'd been holding in.
Cracking one of your eyes open, you hope to find him with rose cheeks and dimples flashing, the look you love so much. Instead you see him, beaming at you without the shine of his canines. It's an admiring smile, one where your eyes go all gooey and your smile is simple yet dipped with so much love.
Opening your eyes all the way, you let your arms down slowly to rest by your sides, a meek look painting your face.
"Did I do good?" You ask, even though you didn't really want his opinion.
"I think you're perfect." It comes out even, smooth like the hilltops in December covered in a layer of the purest snow.
The two of you sit there for a while, soaking up the glow of each other and letting it sink into your souls. For a moment you wonder if he feels it too, the spark that you feel whenever he's around. You wonder if he feels like crying simply because he loves you that much. You wonder if he wishes this whole dating thing wasn't just a lie and that it was true, the same way you wish it was.
Once the moment ends for him, he's clearing his throat to clear any lovesick daze that's left. "I guess we better head to bed, huh?"
Scratching at the back of his neck, you try with everything in your power to not look down where his turtle neck rode up, where the patch of mouth watering hair trails from his belly button to underneath the waist of his pants.
A part of you wishes you stuck it out longer, stayed in your seat at the dinner table just to see him in his outfit longer. He asked you to help him pick it out this morning and when you think back to it, you get flustered with thinking how domesticated it felt. Making him try on different shirts and jumping for joy when he walked out of the bathroom wearing a turtleneck he swore he'd never wear. The khakis you pulled out of his suitcase was the cause of so much laughter and the pink tinge that sat on the rounds of his cheeks.
God, he looked so good, especially with his hair pulled back and the dangled earring that sat in his ear, but now it would all be a memory for you to file away in the back of your brain.
Eddie had already started taking off his dress shoes, sitting on the edge of the bed bent over and messing with the knots that kept the laces together.
The smile that once held your lips high and proud, now weigh down in a sad frown. Even after the success of the dinner and proving everyone wrong, you are now brought back to the reality of what you and Eddie were. Just friends.
"Since I'm a gentleman and I can't see to get these shoes untied, I'll let you shower first." His voice comes out strained from how hard he pulls on the knotted strings.
You don't say anything, quietly nodding your head before shuffling over to your suitcase that sits by the closet. Grabbing a sleepshirt and some shorts, you go to move around the lanky man that can't get his shoes off no matter how hard he tries.
Without a sound, you kneel in front of him, placing your clothes somewhere off to the side. Taking his calf in your hand, you place his foot on your thigh. Delicately, you remove the first shoe and then the next.
"Y'didn't have to do that." It's quiet but not enough to be a whisper, still you shrug.
"I didn't but I wanted to." It seems so simple when you say it, even though deep down inside you wanted that last piece of your fantasy before it goes away for the rest of the night.
"Will you help me with my dress?" You ask him, standing on your feet and turning so that the golden zipper is facing him.
In the mirrored closet door you can see him and how he hesitates for a moment, shaky hands lingering in the air before they close in on the gold slider.
The sound of the metal teeth unlatching from one another fills the room, clouding the unrhythmic beat of your heart. You try to remember the feeling of him on the sacred part of your skin, the way his light touch tickles you and makes goosebumps rise. You want to memorize it like your favorite song, so that when you leave this place and the fake nature of this whole thing goes away, you still have something to think about on those bad days.
It ends too soon for your liking, his hands retracting right back to the sides of his body like a measuring tape. With the fuzz of your tipsy has now wore off but the sting of everything still remains.
Giving him a small smile and muttering a thank you, you hide in the bathroom where the sound of running water hides the muffled cries that leave your throat.
Tumblr media
Waking up felt more painful than any hangover you've ever had. The pain of Eddie's bare back facing you was heartbreaking. You force yourself not connect the freckles that litter his skin or trace your fingers along his spine and shoulder blades.
It's a sight you've seen plenty of times and sharing a bed is something you've done more than enough that you're not uncomfortable. Yet your heart squeezes, wrapping itself up in the tightest loop so that it hurts to even breathe.
The sound of his soft snores only makes it worse, imagining what he dreams about and if it's you.
You use all of the willpower that's left in your body, marching over to the small kitchenette that sits in the corner of the giant room. Pouring yourself a cup of coffee, you try to focus on the swirl of dark liquid mixing with the coffee creamer and how they mix together so perfectly. Without much of a peep, you slide the glass doors that lead out to the balcony and sit down in one of the plush chairs.
You look out over the mountains of colors, tracing over the lines of trees that go on for miles. Although pretentious, you think Veronica did an excellent job and choosing this location.
Sipping on the hot beverage, you watch the clouds in the blue sky go by, wondering what it would've been like if your sister asked you to be a bridesmaid. You imagine that the two of you would've actually gotten along and maybe even laughed together. You envision what it would've been like to have your mother compliment you in your gown and how it would feel to take a picture with your family where all the smiles were real.
Tears begin to burn the back of your eyes, falling rapidly like a fall rainstorm. The skin of your cheeks burn slightly from the heated trails of water that fall. You're sad and incredibly so. Within the first twenty four hours of being here, you remember how much of an outsider you really are to these people.
Even with the company of Eddie, someone that truly loves you, you still can't help but feel so fucking lonely. To put on the mask you wore for many year back on and pretend that the man standing next to you is yours to claim is harder than any other time you had to do it.
This time you weren't really faking it, the love that you showed to him, the happiness you felt with him was real, just the titles weren't. With the cool fall chill, your coffee has gone cold but your tears keep coming.
"You made yourself a cup of coffee but not one for me, and this is how I find out? That's just mean." Eddie's curly hair pokes out from the small gap in the sliding back door that he's created.
His eyes are squinted from the harshness of the morning sun but his cheeky smile is forever unwavering. Sliding a space big enough for him to go through, he stalks out onto the small space in his plaid pajama pants and a hoodie he must've thrown on.
Trying your best to cover up that you've been crying, you wipe the back of your hand across your cheeks, but Eddie still catches your movements.
Instead of embarrassing you, he sits down in the chair across from you and looks out over the balcony.
"You okay?" It's a simple enough question, one that you can answer with one word and he wouldn't pry for more information to not overwhelm you.
Sniffling, you shake your head yes and then move your gaze to where his is. "No, yeah, m'good. The view really does something for me." You say, chuckling just a bit at your own joke.
Eddie also laughs, only this time it's not as genuine as it usually is, just a hard exhale through his nose.
"Yeah, sure does." He agrees, letting his eyes follow the red and orange of the tree tops.
A calm silence falls over you two, only the sounds of the birds that fly and the ruffle of the leaves can be heard from where you sit. It's peaceful.
"You know, I really thought this weekend would be different." It comes out of your mouth as easy as the breeze that blows. Still your eyes stay trained out in front of you and past the mountains of trees.
Eddie doesn't respond but the hole that he burns through the side of your head with his eyes tell you he's listening.
"When I was little, I used to imagine the day Vee got married. I would fantasize that maybe one day we could be close enough that I could enjoy this day with her and we could be sisters for once." You exhale an uneven breath, moving your sights to the cup that still sits in your hand.
"I just wanted all of us to be a family for once. I wanted my mom to actually act like she liked me, for my dad to say that for once he was proud of who I was, and for Veronica, I just wanted her to say she's happy that I'm her little sister."
Just like that, every single thing you've carried since you were little is now out in the open, whipping around in the wind like the dead leaves. Even with the amount of burden that's been lifted, the pain still remains the same. It all hurts, stabbing you over and over again in the scars that you worked so hard to patch up.
Eddie doesn't say anything and for a moment you don't think he'll say anything at all. You watch him pull out the pack of cigarettes he had nestled in his pocket and place one in between his pretty pink lips.
Another second goes by and he's flicking the wheel of his lighter, shielding the flame away from the wind so he can light it. When the end of the smoke burns red, he takes a big inhale and then lets the cloud of smoke out.
"I know what I say won't matter," He starts before taking another drag of his smoke, "But these people don't fucking mean anything."
"They're you're family and I get that but they don't fucking deserve you, they never have. A fake boyfriend, a new haircut, or a cool job shouldn't define their love for you. They're shitty people who were blessed with an amazing person and they didn't even realize it."
Eddie looks at you the same way he speaks, with nothing but truth. You let the words settle in your mind, letting them soak in, in case you forget.
The tears that once ceased start to flow again, except this time it's from relief. It feels good that someone else sees your worth, to know someone actually holds value to you.
"It kills me that they treat you the way they do, that they can say all those things without batting an eye. I know why you asked me to come here and I know I have a job to do, but man do I want to rip them all a new asshole."
Although he speaks with fire behind the words, you have to laugh from the thought of the actions. The moment you giggle, his own smile forms.
"I hope you know that I love you and when everything is done and over with, we'll give them the bird." To make his point, Eddie raises his middle finger high into the sky.
Repeating his actions, you hold your own finger to the sky and smile happily while doing it.
Letting his arm fall back down into place, he pats the tops of your thighs and stands from the chair.
"That's my girl, now let's get ready for an open bar and free booze." Holding his open palm to you, he helps you up.
Tumblr media
The wedding reception was what you thought it would be, drawn out and boring. The only saving grace of the whole thing was Eddie's commentary, the scruff on his face tickling you every time he leaned close to your ear.
A lot of the things he was saying was probably just to make you feel better but you did have to agree, the dress Veronica picked out was a bad rip off of Princess Diana's and it shouldn't have seen broad daylight.
You did however get choked up when the vowels started, not because you were happy with your sister but because you wish that were you and Eddie up there instead.
All and all it was okay, even though one of your brother in law's aunt's wore a hat so big you couldn't see past it most of the time.
The wedding reception though was beautiful. The décor of the manner looked exquisite against the maroon coloring of all the bridesmaids dresses. The tables had beautiful bouquets sitting in the middle and you can't help but laugh imagining your father cutting a check for all of them.
To much of yours and Eddie's delight, there is an open bar that is stacked high with pricey alcohol. Again you laugh thinking about your father having to pay the tab, which you and Eddie will be happy to run up.
So far this is the most the two of you had fun, both laughing and enjoying the company that's around you. The table you've been stuck at is also occupied by other family rejects that enjoy the titles they've been given.
Eddie's hand hasn't left your thigh, which you're more than happy about, and every so often he flexes his fingers squeezing the meaty flesh.
You feel good, the boost from the drinks and the feeling of your best friend makes you bloom like a flower in the spring. You watch as he talks to the people at your table and how his hand moves with enthusiasm. You trace the muscles in his neck and watch his adam's apple bob up and down when he speaks. Your chin sits in the palm of your hand as you watch him be himself like he always is.
He's so beautiful, he always has been, and in this moment he gets to be yours. You don't have to think about what anyone else thinks, you don't have to question how the two of you look from another's perception, because you know that your heart bleeds for him and it always will.
Eddie's your home, he's your best friend, and he's your person. You think back to what he said to you this morning and how he called you a blessing but you think he's wrong. Eddie is the true blessing. He's sweet, he's smart, and he's so fucking caring it's disgusting. Behind all the jagged features and dark clothes, he's nothing but a giant teddy bear that wears his heart on his sleeve.
"Birdie." He smiles at you, all goo and mush it makes your heart skip.
You hum in response, still sitting in the same position, looking at him as if he were a painting.
"You wanna dance?" He blushes, embarrassed by the request and you feel like you're back in junior high.
"You, Eddie Munson hate dancing." You say, scrunching your nose cutely.
Laughing loudly, he nods, "Yeah, I know, but I'd dance with you."
That breaks you out of your daze, breath catching in your throat. "O-oh, yeah. I'll um dance."
Again he stands, holding a palm out to you so he can help you up. Leaning you to the dance floor, you can't help but feel jittery despite the wine that you've consumed.
Once out on the floor, he pulls you into his chest. Strong hands grip your waist through the silk fabric of your red dress and you desperately try to fight the need that rises in your guy.
You stand stiff, unsure of what to do with yourself and Eddie's quick to help you, placing your hands around his neck where they lay contently.
He looks good tonight, even better than last night, and you hate how it makes butterflies flap around in your stomach. The black button up shirt sits nicely on his torso, wrapping his arms so deliciously you want to take a bite out of them. The black slacks he wears fit nicely and you wonder if he had them tailored and you have to ignore the want to undo the sleek black belt with a bright golden buckle that holds them up. Again his hair sits in a low bun and that silver chain peeks out at you from underneath his collar.
"I can't believe you asked me to dance to Ed Sheeran." You say breathlessly, still nervous with being this close to him.
Eddie snorts, lopsided smile forming on his lips. "What, a guy can't like Ed Sheeran and metal? That's gatekeeping, sweetheart." He teases.
Rolling your eyes, you try to ignore that tingle that settles in your cheeks. "Whatever you say, Munson."
"I'm serious, Thinking Out Loud was in my top ten last year." The two of you hold eye contact until you can't take it anymore, both bursting into laughter at his admission.
"That's something you shouldn’t repeat." You sputter at him and he laughs even harder.
"Hey, I like this song, okay?" He defends, still swaying back and forth with you.
Raising your hands in defense, you pull back on your clowning for the sake of your friend. Placing your arms back around his neck, you lean your head on his chest and try to hear the beat of his heart.
The scent of him floods your nose, cologne and smoke, whiskey and linen, and you wish you could bottle it to keep forever.
"Why do you like this song anyway? It's kind of basic." You mutter at him.
His shoulders lift in a shrug, and he takes a moment to respond. "Honestly, I like it cause it reminds me of you."
Your eyebrows furrow in confusion and you remove your head to look up at him.
"Wha'do you mean?" You mumble, eyes searching his for some sort of answer.
Looking bashful again, red tints his cheeks and ears in a blush. Sticking his tongue out to wet his lips, he hesitantly answers.
"I always felt like he said everything I couldn't, ya know? Everything I ever wanted to say to you, he put in a song."
It feels like the whole world stops, that time freezes and it's just the two of you. You're in shock and for some reason you can't wrap your head around anything he's saying.
"What?" You say harshly and again he shrugs, shying away from your burning focus on him.
"Reminds me of you and everything I ever felt about you. I always wanted to call you mine but if you hadn't noticed, I'm a chicken shit."
You don't say anything, instead you stare at him with your mouth wide open. Eddie starts to loose his cool, frantically flexing his fingers against the material of your dress, looking around at anything but you.
"Sorry, I - shit, I really fucked this up," He doesn't get to finish his sputtering apology because you quickly smash your lips into his.
His lips taste like brown liquor and chapstick, like love and forever, and you can't believe you waited this long to experience it. Two heart sync as one, two people fall together like the leaves outside, and anxieties are finally laid to rest.
You hate that you pull away first but the need for air is too much. Eddie bends enough so that his forehead leans on yours, both looking into each other eyes living in the moment of your blissed out hearts.
"Tell me if I'm being too forward but do you wanna get out of here?" He flirts and you respond simply by pecking his lips once more.
"Thought you'd never ask."

‣ Simon wasn’t at all prepared to be an older brother, but when he saw you, he knew it was his job to protect his little baby sister.
‣ You were the only one who was fortunate enough to not be killed by Washington, so when Simon was made aware of your survival, he took you in as his own.
‣ He doubted himself at first, fearing he would turn out like his dad, but also didn’t want to abandon you like he had been as a child.
‣ He wasn’t experienced in any way shape or form with taking care of a baby, so most of his days when not on deployment consisted of him watching youtube videos and going online to figure out how to do stuff and take care of you properly.
‣ When on deployment, he left you with a trusted neighbour who he had known for years before. (I feel like this would either be like a man who he would call his ‘best friend’ when home, or an old woman who has kids of her own, that use to babysit him)
‣ He would spoil you the best he could, and make you as happy as possible, not wanting you to have a childhood anything remotely like his.
‣ He definitely still gets help off of google for some things. He isn’t really too good with knowledge on ‘girly’ things.
‣ When home, you and him would always sit at the kitchen table of an evening, you playing with barbies whilst he sat across from you modding his rifle. As you got older, it would be the same just you with homework. You didn’t speak much when sat with each other, though it was always a comfortable silence for the both of you.
‣ Once when in primary school, you came home with a pout as you were jealous of your classmates pigtails and plaits, seeing that Simon only really knew how to brush your hair. So that night, he spent an hour watching videos over and over so that he could learn how to plait your hair.
‣ He felt stupid watching the videos, and frustrated that it took him so long to get the hang of it, but he knew it was all worth it when he saw the grin on your face the next morning as you looked at your hair in the mirror to see it all pretty and plaited.
‣ He also felt the same each birthday or christmas when you were little, worried that the little amount that he was able to get you wouldn’t be enough to make you happy. But 100% of the time, it was just him underestimating himself.
‣ When you were young, he never bothered to mention his own birthday. But one year when with your neighbour, you found out his birthday was a couple days after he came back from deployment. So you saved up money for the 2 weeks before he came back, and bought him a little teddy bear and a bar of chocolate. You also made him a little loom band bracelet, and haphazardly wrapped them up and hid them under your bed.
‣ When his birthday did arrive, you came downstairs to him in the living room, holding the parcel out in front of him. He lifted you up onto his lap, taking the parcel from you. “What’s this?” He asked, looking at it as he peeled his fingers from the cellotape of which you’d badly wrapped it with.
‣ “Happy birthday” you say softly with a smile, and that right there made Simon’s heart melt. He unwrapped the gift, and held the bear out in front of him. You looked at him eagerly, though his expression was confusing to you. “I hope you like it” you say with a slight hint of doubt. But Simon smiles at you, yes, smiles, and pulls you closer to him, placing a small kiss on your cheek, “I love it, thank you Y/N” he says, and the grin returns to your face.
‣ Simon had never felt more appreciated by anyone in his life.
‣ He let you off that one morning to share the chocolate with him, after eagerly placing the loom band on his large wrist, showing him that you now had matching ones.
‣ And he wears it everyday, even on deployment, under his uniform.
‣ And he still does to this day, years later.
‣ He also has a tattoo tucked away somewhere that he got for you, most likely your initials.
‣ When he first joined 141, Price was the only one who knew about you, and that Simon was the one who took care of you.
‣ He knew from Ghost’s files, as when he joined the task force, you were at the age where Simon wanted you written down as who was told when he died.
‣ You were at the age where it was harder to just pretend he never existed. Because when you were a baby, that was his plan. Before he joined it was your neighbour that was put down, just as a telling that you would need to be put in someone else's care.
‣ When Ghost requested the change to his file, he asked Price that someone could go over and tell you in person, rather than just a phone call, or his dog tags through the mail. Which caused for him to have to let Price know of your existence.
‣ He also asked for Price to tell Laswell, as he trusted her and wanted someone there for you who was in the UK more than he was, and in case both him and Price were on a mission/ far away.
‣ He also did it as he believed that you needed at least one female figure somewhat a part of your life, though you've only met her like once or twice.
‣ It takes a good amount of time and full trust in a person for Simon to be comfortable with them meeting you, or even just knowing of you. Which is why Johnny found out so randomly.
‣ You were late pre-teens when Simon was coming home from deployment, and got a call from his friend, apologising that he couldn’t pick him up from base. Johnny overheard the conversation and insisted that he dropped Simon off, though he was perfectly fine getting a taxi.
‣ Simon did message you to stay in the house, but you weren’t paying any mind to your phone, just looking out the window waiting for his arrival. Your own excitement blinded you to the fact it wasn’t the car of Simon’s friend dropping him off, so when you saw his skull mask through the car window, you jumped off the couch and ran out the door to him without a second thought. You didn’t hesitate in giving him a massive hug, which, though Johnny hadn’t pulled off yet, Simon reciprocated, as he knew there was no way of exactly hiding you now.
‣ It wasn’t at all that he didn’t trust Johnny enough, Simon just always felt awkward bringing it up and didn’t expect the circumstances of which he was in, so wasn’t prepared at all.
‣ Soap didn’t like to pry, but was curious and immensely shocked to see a young girl run out of his house and jump onto Simon’s huge frame. He knew it couldn’t have been his daughter as Simon would have simply been far too young for that to be true. So he made the conclusion of you being his sister, and tried to keep it to himself.
‣ Though on the next deployment, Johnny did ask about the young girl he saw, and with a grumble of a reply, he then understood that his guesses were correct. By then he trusted Gaz enough as well, so the whole of 141 eventually knew of Simon’s little sister.
‣ Simon keeps a little photograph of you in his uniform, in an inside breast pocket, above his heart. It’s a photo of you when you were little, the first year he put aside his fears, and took you trick-or-treating. You were dressed as a little fairy, grinning up at the camera, your face covering most of the shot as you leant forwards into the frame.
‣ You two don’t have any proper photos with each other, apart from one from when it was your birthday one year, and you told Simon that the only thing you wanted was a photo of the two of you together. So Simon begrudgingly granted your wish after a lot of convincing.
‣ In the photo, you are stood next to each other in the hallway of your home, you grinning with your short arms attempting to wrap around his large waist, and him stood looking emotionless with his simple skull mask on, his arm behind you resting on your back.
‣ It wouldn’t look sentimental at all to anyone else, but you treasured it. It stays on your bedside cabinet, with one of his old dog tags that he let you keep. You also have another old one of his attached to the zip of your school backpack.
‣ Simon never really decorated your room too much when you were younger, as he was new to the whole thing and decided that he would let you do it with him when you were older and found your own passions and interests. So first off for several years your room consisted of a small single bed, a wardrobe, and littles shelves for your toys, all of which he built with you sat on the floor of your room with him one day.
‣ But when you did find yourself and what you liked, you both spent a couple days decorating it. As it was just you and Simon in the house, you weren’t ever very ‘girly’ so the walls were painted a pale blue, and he bought you some new shelves and some fairy lights/ LED’s to hang up around your bed.
‣ When you use to get nightmares or just couldn’t fall asleep, you would sneak into Simon’s room, and wake him up so that you could stay with him. Although due to his own nightmares, was usually awake before you came in anyways. But there was something he secretly found so sweet about hearing your little feet try to quietly pad down the hallway to his room.
‣ He never minded, because he had nightmares all the time. Simon would never admit it, not even to his baby sister, but he enjoyed the nights where he would have her with him. Because in the long run it did actually help him fall asleep, knowing he wasn’t completely on his own.
‣ He had you.
‣ Due to him being away quite a lot, you have been aware of his job since you were little.
‣ Though when you got older, you wanted to know more about it. Simon didn’t really want to tell you much, as he didn't believe it was something he wanted his sister knowing about, but after so much pestering from you, he caved in. You learnt about his callsign, and how he always wore the skull mask.
‣ Once meeting Soap properly, he was the one to tell you about how infamous your brother really was on the field.
‣ You found it pretty cool that you were one of the only people in the entire world who new what the Simon Riley truly looked like, and secretly took pride in it.
‣ You have always known Simon with and without his mask, so it never feels weird. He rarely wore it when you were a toddler, though when you were first born he mostly kept it on, scared his scars were gonna frighten you.
‣ But the first time he took it off in front of you, you babbled and giggled, and reached out to his face. So from then on, he didn’t bother wearing it around you.
‣ There was one occasion when he came to pick you up from a neighbours after almost a year long deployment, and you were shy with him. It hurt Simon a bit, and made him feel guilty for not being there, and that you had grown so much in the time he was away. But the feeling soon melted away once your neighbour gave you a little push from behind their leg, you softening in Simon’s touch as he held you close in his arms.
‣ His teenage years were the most traumatic for him, so when you transitioned into yours, he became even more protective of you. You sometimes fought over this, and Simon felt bad, but you knew that he was doing it because he wanted nothing more than for you to be safe.
‣ When he bought you your first phone, he definitely made you have Life360 or something like it, so that he knows where you are just in case he needs it.
‣ He would never go crazy on where you were and who you were with. He trusted you. But when away, every night before he went to bed himself, or whenever it was late in the UK timezone, he would check that you were at home. It made him relax slightly about being away, knowing that you were safe.
‣ You were about 15 when you were properly introduced to the 141 team, as behind Soap’s teasing and pestering, Simon knew that you needed some other adult figures in your life. So, much to your own surprise, he messaged you asking if you wanted to come get him from base one time with his neighbour.
‣ You knew that Simon wasn’t really much of a physical affection type of guy, but you could never resist when he was coming back home after a deployment. And even less so now that you were able to come to base. But he also knew that much to his dislike for the public display of it, there was nothing he could do to stop you from doing so.
‣ And with that fact in mind, he knew he had to reciprocate the gesture, so when you did run up to him with your arms out, for a second he forgot about that fact the rest of the guys wouldn’t let cold old ‘Ghost’ hear the end of it, and wrapped one arm around you, lifting you up with ease, his bags clutched in his other hand. You practically squealed to him how much you’d missed him, as he mumbled back in your ear that he did you, too. Lucky for him the others didn't hear that.
‣ Once he had put you down, he very much awkwardly introduced you to the others in a grumbly tone.
‣ When you turned to them, the first thing that they all collectively noticed were your eyes.
‣ You had Simon’s eyes.
‣ Johnny’s hello was an enthusiastic “Good to finally meet you lass,” Simon glaring at Soap, aware of the amusement this brought him, knowing his lieutenant was annoyed as hell.
‣ Gaz nodded at you with a smile, and Price said hello in a deep but warm tone, looking on at you with an almost proud gaze.
‣ Price didn’t know what to expect when Soap loudly made everyone aware of Ghost’s new visitor at base pick up, as Johnny was the only one of them who had seen you before to recognise you as Ghost's sister, though they knew you existed (much to their inital surprise). But when you turned to the rest of the team without hesitance, Price instantly felt an even higher level of respect towards Simon as it was clear from your confident and polite hello that he had raised you well.
‣ Much to Simon’s own self doubt.
‣ One night when the 141 were all at a bar, Price quietly told Simon about how he had done well with you, knowing that he was definitely uncertain of his own worth in your life. But Simon heard the sincerity in his Captain’s voice, and with a quick look of appreciation towards John, he then didn’t doubt himself as much as he had before.
‣ Simon sometimes does mess up though with his language around you, only recently now that you have gotten older. But he isn’t too fussed, just as long as he doesn't hear you repeat any of it.
‣ Seeing that it is only you two in the house 24/7, you both surprisingly get on really well, and there have only been a rare few occasions when he has had to put his foot down.
‣ But these rare occasions would mainly consist of something silly to the point that he got sick of your nagging, like when you begged him to have ice cream for breakfast.
‣ “Please Simon, just this once-“
‣ “No, Y/N! You said that last time. Now drop it.”
‣ There have definitely been times where neither of you can sleep, and now that you're older, you both just sit with each other in comfortable silence. Occasionally just putting a random film on in the living room, but most of the time you would just be at the kitchen table, with a bowl of cereal at like 2am. That is until, and this is 98% of the time, you fall asleep with your head on the table and Simon has to carry you to your room.
‣ When you got to the age where Simon was comfortable with you in the house on your own, you once mentioned to him that the first day of him being away was always the hardest, and that it felt really weird in the house.
‣ You both knew he couldn’t do much about that, but he tried little things to make it somewhat bearable.
‣ For instance, he knows one of your favourite things is leftover takeaway from when you two have one, so the night before every deployment, he always orders takeaway for dinner so that there is always some in the fridge for you on the first day of him being gone.
‣ It’s the little things that Simon does for you despite his mostly cold heart that mean the most to you.
‣ On long deployments, you write Simon letters for him to read. You do message him too, but prefer writing them, as you know he will write back, which you feel is more sincere. His letters are never as long or heartfelt as yours, but you know your brother, and that he loves you dearly.
‣ His replies would often be a few sentences, praising you on anything that you would mention about school or just exciting stuff in general, signing off with ‘Simon’, and a barely noticeable ‘x’ next to it.
‣ You keep every single one of the letters he sends back, your favourites being the ones that he would occasionally send to you, first. And secretly Simon does the same, keeping your letters tucked away in his bag under his bed.
‣ He tells you unless its an emergency, that you should stick to letters or texts, so that he can still stay focused with his job and that if you do one day call him, he knows straight away that it’s an urgent matter.
‣ There was one time when you forgot about the emergency rule, and called him to tell him you passed a test you had been stressing about.
‣ He was about to shout down the line asking what was wrong and where you were until you beat him to it with a loud “I PASSED SIMON, I PASSED THE TEST!”
‣ “That’s amazing Y/N, but you just scared the fucking life out of me.”
‣ “Oh crap. I forgot, sorry. But I passed!!!”
‣ "Great love. I'm proud of you. But next time stick it in a letter, yeah?"

neighbour!könig’s reaction when he sees a guy walk out of your apartment . need your thoughts on that
omg, the man is gutted! Absolutely heartbroken! Especially after you asked to sit on his couch like that! 😆 He gets jealous but if you aren't technically together, then he realizes that he doesn't have a right to be so jealous and is a little overwhelmed with sadness!
So, last night König deviated from my outline! How very rude of him. But despite a power outage this morning, he was all over this and provided some fluff of the hurt comfort variety!
Tumblr media
Even before he joined the military, he was an early riser. The sun was just starting to rise when he stepped out of this flat and heard the door to your flat open. He turned, smile already lighting his eyes, when instead of seeing you, there was a man. He had a slender but muscular build; the sleeveless workout top he wore gave plenty of proof of the man’s definition. The man, taller than you, shorter than him, looked at him a little warily, good. The man gave him a subtle nod as if to greet him then went down the stairs ahead of him.
A sense of smugness, along with the sinking feeling in his stomach at the thought of you with another man, washed over him as he noticed how quickly that man moved, how quickly he tried to run. König’s long stride made it easy to keep up, though, and he was only a step behind as the guy exited the building. He watched as the man practically sprinted to… guest parking. That was it then, you had had an overnight guest, a man. And König found himself jealous.
-
He tried to ignore the bitter, pitiful, sensation that plagued him all day, but was not very successful. What was he supposed to think of when thoughts of you led to the sad reminder that you had chosen someone else? He certainly shouldn’t be thinking about using the man’s license plate number to find out more about him, where he worked, for instance.
Now on his way home for the evening, climbing up the stairs to his flat, beer and food in his hands, he was met with another painful sight. The man was back, leaving again apparently, and you leaned forward, pressed your lips to the left side of his face, then again to the right side.
“Alright, be careful!” You bid the man good night, “text me when you get home.”
König wanted to sigh, he pouted underneath his hood. The way you had the capacity to care for others so much was one of the things he liked about you, but right about now, he wished you only cared for him.
“Oh! Hi, König!” You caught him before he could enter his flat.
He looked at you and tried to smile, but even he could tell it didn’t quite meet his eyes. "Hello."
“I have something for you!”
“Me?” You nodded, “hold on a sec, let me grab it!”
He unlocked and left his door open while you disappeared for a second, just so he could put his groceries down. You came back, knocking on the open door, with a plastic food container and a smile adorning your face.
“Come,” he invited you in, his prior sorrow temporarily forgotten at your friendly disposition. Friends, yes, maybe friends was ok.
“Liliana wanted you to have some cake! She said after all that candy you bought, you must have a sweet tooth!”
He took the offered confection and set it down on the table, next to his beer. “It’s her birthday?”
“No. She had this big performance today. The whole family gathered at my sister’s place to congratulate her. The place was pretty crowded, with my parents there too, so my brother stayed with me last night.”
König blinked. “Your…brother?” Now that he thought about it, the man did bear a slight resemblance to you…
“Mmhm.” You nodded then tilted your head, “what’s up with you? Everything ok?” The man was your brother!
König let out a loud and boisterous laugh. “Everything is perfect! Please thank the little mouse for me!”
“Mouse?” You scoffed, “wait till you get to know her.” You’re pretty sure she loudly told you to take a slice of cake to your “nice neighbor man” to embarrass you in front of the family, little shit.
He laughed again, “I would like to!” Because that would mean you incorporating him into your life even more! “Will you eat with me?” He asked once his chuckling faded.
“Well, I’ve had my fill of cake, but I’d love to hang out.”
Oh, he’d love that too!

You were late. Bob was going to kill you. Your brother was a stickler when it came to being on time. It came as no surprise to anyone in your family that he had gone into the military.
You rushed through the door, purse strap getting caught on the handle and you tugged it free, chest rising as you spun around, searching for Bob. He stood in the corner of the coffee shop, pristine in a khaki uniform, eyes wide behind his wire glasses.
“Hi Ducky,” he said as you tossed yourself into his arms, breathing in his familiar scent. He felt like home, even though it had been years since you and Bob had lived under the same roof. You had been barely a teen when Bob left for the Naval Academy, and his stints on land were far and few between after. His assignment to Top Gun was the first time he had settled somewhere on a more permanent basis. It’s why you decided to move to San Diego after college. All of your friends had scattered around the country – grad school in New York, policy analysts in Washington, even one friend had taken an internship with an art dealer in Miami. But you had packed up and left Tennessee with one goal. Be closer to your brother.
“Bobby,” you grinned, stepping back to admire him. Every time you saw him it was months apart and so much had changed, but also so little. He was the same Bob who had thrown you over his shoulder to win the family flag football game on Thanksgiving. The same Bob who had carried your book bag for you when you were in elementary school and he was a middle schooler and went a mile out of his way every morning to make sure you got to your homeroom class safe and sound. The Bob who always picked up, day or night, when you called. The Bob who listened to you weep about your college boyfriend who broke your heart. The Bob who took care of you when you were seven and had the flu and your mom was working a double shift at the hospital and couldn’t stay home with you.
“Ducky,” he said, dropping your hands. The familiar nickname on his tongue brought forward a flood of memories: spring weekends flying kites in the nearby park, sitting on the back of a tandem bike with Bob on a trip to Florida to visit your grandparents, the fort the two of you made the one time it snowed two feet in Tennessee in under a day in March. “This is my squad. Guys, meet my sister, Y/N.”
You tore your gaze from Bob, looking over at the table he was gesturing to, a smile plastered on your face. A beautiful brunette with pearly white teeth and a tight bun was on the far left. That was Phoenix. You had received a handful of letters from Bob talking about her. Next to Phoenix was a handsome, bulky man with a mustache in a plain blue t-shirt. Wow, he was gorgeous.
Your eyes shifted over one more, breath halting in your throat as your gaze slowly crept up. First you spotted the dog tags. Eerily familiar, but then again, a lot of military guys wore dog tags, right?
Then the chin. Ridiculously cut jaw, slight bifurcated butt chin that you had found weirdly adorable two nights before. Plump, pink lips, puckered up in a grin. You felt your heart sink. There was only one thing left. You raised your eyes to his. Clear, seafoam green. An ocean in two small orbs. He smiled as you screamed internally.
Bob’s voice drew you out of your coma. “That’s Bradley.” The mustache man waved a hand. “And Jake Seresin. Hangman.”
Jake. Your stomach did a somersault.
Last time you had seen him, you had been teetering on the edge of drunk, standing outside of the bar with one hand on the railing, the salty ocean wind licking at the sweat on your collarbone, flicking the ends of your hair up against your chin.
The next moment, his tongue was on your throat, in your mouth, fingers in your hair, pressing your body against the railing of the deck as you whimpered into his lips.
You had crept out of bed before he woke up. Just a gorgeous, tan, muscular back sticking out beneath crisp white sheets as you tugged on your short dress and called an Uber. You had expected to never see him again.
And here he was, smirking at you as your brother’s gaze narrowed.
You had fucked up. Correction. You had fucked Jake Seresin. And that was a major fuck up.
***
Bob had never been the type to have a huge friend group, or any close friends really. So the first time he called from Top Gun, giddy with excitement, you had been elated for him. Your brother deserved a tightly knit friend group.
Before you had moved to San Diego, Bob had filled you in on the group’s antics. Their flights, their wild nights out, the dynamics. But he had centered mostly on Phoenix and Rooster.
Jake had conveniently been left out of the majority of the conversation.
“Well?” Bob asked as the two of you headed back to his house in your rental car. “What do you think of the group?”
“They’re nice,” you said.
“That’s it? Nice?”
You sighed. “I’m really happy for you, Bobby. You have a good group of friends. I know that’s what you always wanted.”
Bob leaned back against the seat. You were the one person that Bob confided in. He was an open book and you could read him with one glance. Looking over, you spotted his furrowed brow, the tense way he was squeezing his knuckles together.
“Are you OK?” you asked, turning your eyes back toward the road, slowing down to take a right turn.
“Tell me you didn’t move here for me.”
“Then I’d be lying.”
“Y/N,” Bob said. His voice had taken on Big Brother™ mode. “You shouldn’t have done that.”
“Don’t you want me around?” you whispered.
“Of course I do,” Bob replied. “I just don’t want you to waste your life following me.”
“Living in California a waste?” you asked. “No way.”
“What’s the plan, Duck?”
“Not everyone was born potty trained and with a plan, Bobby.”
“You’re twenty-three,” he countered. “It’s time to be an adult and figure out what you’re doing with your life.”
“You sound like mom.”
“And we both know she’s never wrong.”
You sighed. “Just because you got your life together at seven doesn’t mean I have to.”
“Duck—”
You cut him off. “Bobby, please. It’s been a week. Give me a little time and I promise, I'll figure out what I’m doing. Just be my brother, OK, instead of acting like my dad.”
That silenced him. Bob had taken your father’s disappearance harder than you had. He put on a brave face. He stepped up. He became the man of the house. But that meant that he had taken it upon himself to be your brother and your dad. So even at twenty three he still saw you as a child.
The two of you drove the rest of the way back to Bob’s house in silence. Inside, you were just about to close the door to your guest bedroom when Bob’s voice floated down the hall.
“By the way,” he said, “I told the squad we’d go out for drinks with them tonight. It’s Jake’s birthday.”
You grimaced. “Sounds good.”
“Leave at nine?”
“Sure.” You closed the door, plopping down on the bed face first. You had moved to San Diego to figure your life out. And of course the first thing you had done was have a one night stand with one of Bob’s teammates. If he had been anyone else in the world you would have been able to avoid him.
What do you get someone for their birthday when you hoped you’d never see them again?
***
“Floyd!”
You turned at the same time as Bob. Bradley grinned. “Oh this is going to get confusing.”
“Here.” Natasha pointed to the bar stool next to her. “Have a seat. Boys will get you a drink. Bradshaw?”
Bradley tipped his head. “On it, ma’am.”
She rolled her eyes as you settled into the seat, crossing your legs beneath the short skirt. “So, Y/N. Bob’s told me all about his little sister. But he left out that you were coming to live here.”
“I’m not much of a planner.”
Phoenix laughed. “The anti-Bob. I like you already.”
“He’s told me a lot about you,” you replied. “And Bradley.”
“And nothing about Jake I’m guessing?” You nodded and Phoenix took a sip of her beer. “Trust me when I say, you don’t want to even go there.”
“Are you speaking from experience?”
Phoenix craned her neck around, making sure the two of you were out of earshot before nodding. “Just steer clear of him. That’s my suggestion. Hangman is fun for a night. But things get messy quick. And he and Bob have a little bit of a history.”
You frowned. “What kind of history?”
Just as Phoenix opened her mouth to respond, Bradley pressed a beer into your open hand. “Ducky.”
You grimaced. “Bobby, you didn’t!”
He shrugged. “Sorry.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’m so going to eat your last Pop-Tart tomorrow just to get you back for that.”
“Fill us in, will you?” Phoenix asked.
“When she was four, Y/N became obsessed with those little yellow rubber ducks that you put in your bath.” You groaned as your brother recounted the full story. How you had thrown a fit when your mother had tried to take you out of the bath and the only thing to calm you had been to fill your bed with the rubber ducks. And how the next morning that continued, one rubber duck gripped firmly in your chubby hand as you ate breakfast, went to the park, tagged along to the grocery store, went to daycare. This continued for weeks.
You didn’t want to admit to the team that you still had a rubber duck stuffed inside your suitcase back at Bob’s house. It was a safety net of sorts.
“Sorry, Duck,” Bob said, squeezing your shoulders and placing a small peck on the top of your head.
You looked up at him. His cheeks were flushed, he had a massive grin on his face. He was happy. All you had wanted in as long as you could remember was for Bob to be happy. He took your happiness more seriously than his own. It was time you returned the favor.
“Am I interrupting?” All eyes turned to Jake. He had on a tight black t-shirt and a pair of jeans with cowboy boots peeking out the bottom. He shot a grin your way and you did your best to avoid his eye contact.
“Happy birthday, Hangman.” There was a chill in Bob’s voice, or perhaps you were reading into it because of what Phoenix had said earlier.
Jake nodded. “Thanks, man. Anyone up for a game of darts?”
Bob dropped his hand from your shoulder, following Phoenix and Jake back toward the darts board on one end of the bar. You sat back in your seat, tipping the beer down your throat, watching as they played. There was an easy banter with all of them.
You finished your beer, the darts game still ongoing. Quietly, you slipped around the edge of the room, out the door that led to the back deck.
It was quiet outside, just the sound of the waves crashing against the hard sand and the soft hum of the music as it seeped through under the door and from behind the old windows. You laid your fingertips on the wooden railing, tipping your head back toward the moon that was slung low in the sky, feeling the cool breeze dry the sweat that had started to form on the base of your neck.
“Mind if I join?”
You turned. Jake stepped out onto the deck, a beer in one hand. He approached the railing, putting the green bottle down and smirking over at you. This time you were far less drunk. You shrugged. “It’s your birthday. Who am I to say what you can or can’t do?”
He frowned. “Don’t be like that.”
“Just because you’ve seen me naked doesn’t mean you know me.”
He looked bristled. “Y/N. I had no idea you were Bob’s sister when we met the other night. If I had known, I—”
“Wouldn’t have fucked me?”
He grimaced. “You’re the one that left without saying anything.”
You folded your arms over your chest. “It’s not like you were falling over yourself to drive me home. It was better that way and we both know it.” You allowed yourself to look up. God, he was stunning. Green, wide eyes. Tanned skin, the way his forearm flexed as he gripped the railing. You could remember the way his touch felt as he dragged his fingertips over your skin. You tried to shake the memory from your mind. “Just do me one favor.”
“Sure.”
“Don’t tell Bob,” you whispered. “Let’s just forget the other night ever happened.”
Jake’s gaze lingered. “If that’s what you want.”
You pushed up off of the railing. “It’ll be better, trust me.” You headed for the door, turning around at the last moment. Jake was still leaning against the railing, watching the waves in the dark. “Jake?”
He turned, green eyes wide. There was something almost sad about him, you thought. It was a fleeting glimpse, but you saw it.
“Happy birthday.”
He smiled. You turned, peering through the glass on the wood door. Bob had his head thrown back in a laugh as Bradley pounded against the piano keys and Phoenix danced. You smiled. Your brother was happy.
You weren’t going to ruin his perfectly crafted life by saying you had slept with one of his friends. It would be easier for everyone if you and Jake Seresin pretended you had never met before.
How would they ever catch you in your lie?

Veins of Violet
Logan Howlett X Female Reader
Part 1: A grumpy Canadian enters
Tumblr media
A/N: Hello guys! This is a Logan x Female reader story. So please enjoy!
Description: Violet, on the run from a dark past, finds herself stuck with Logan as her roommate, with her unpredictable best friend Wade by her side. As she navigates the chaos of her new life, she must choose between a love that could save her and a darkness that could consume her.
3.6k words
"Have you thought about what I told you?" I asked Vanessa as I sat across from her at our local coffee shop.
"Yes, and I think I'm ready to talk to him about us." she says with a soft smile.
A few weeks ago, before Wade unexpectedly left on his birthday party, I told Vannesa that she should get back together with him. They are such a cute couple, and Vanessa deserves to be with the person she loves, even though he's a total dickwad. I have known Wade for about six years when I auditioned for his superhero team. Or whatever you can call a group of morons who all collectively came together to save a chubby kid from being killed by a time travel freak with a medal arm. Regardless of mine and Wade's differences, like who is better, Edward or Jacob, or if pineapple belongs on pizza (it doesn't), he is still considered one of my best friends, along with Vanessa, whom I love dearly like a sister.
As I come back from my daydreaming, Vanessa gives me a slight grin and proceeds to ask her annoying question.
"So... now that Wade and I are possibly getting back together, why have you been avoiding the dating pool? I mean, I love you, but I don't want to see you die alone or possibly be forced to marry someone just to settle down. I want you to find someone who you can pour your heart into, like I do with Wade."
I look at her with annoyance and roll my eyes at her dramatic statement. After my last cheating boyfriend Adam who fucked my roommate by the way in my apartment, I've never found someone who truly moved me and made me feel special. I have gone on dates alone and even double dates with Nessa and Wade, but I have never felt something inside of me that truly made me desire them. When Vanessa talks about her and Wade's love lives and even their sex lives, she makes it sound like it's filled with passion and thrill, and I haven't experienced that with anyone yet. And I'm not even sure I ever will.
"We've talked about this, Vanessa. I haven't found anyone interesting, and I'm not going to force it by going to some lame bar and picking up the first person who shows interest." She laughs at my statement but doesn't say anything in response.
As we walked back to our building, we saw Wade with a dog who looked strangly like him, and along with him was a man with a very nice build and he was really handsome. As Wade spotted Vanessa walking down the street with me, he quickly let his dog sit on the ground and sprinted over to her, arms wide open.
"Vanessa! My love, my light, my everything! You look stunning as ever. It's like seeing the sun come up after a night of binge-watching questionable rom-coms. How about we skip all this mundane reality stuff and dive straight into a romantic montage? I've missed you more than tacos on a Tuesday!"
She pushes her off him. "Where the hell have you been? You left the party without even saying anything, and you expect me to be happy to see you?!" She says it angerfully.
I laugh, and he turns to me. "Well, well, if it isn't my favorite partner in crime," he said, giving me a playful nudge. "Looking fabulous as always. I swear, every time I see you, it's like someone cranked up the glam dial to eleven." He says with a sly smile.
I roll my eyes and, angrly, ask him the same question. "No, Wade, where the hell have you been? I called 20 times, and not one single call was returned!" I quickly glanced at his friend, and he was already staring at me. I quickly looked back at Wade, waiting for a response.
Wade raised his hands in mock surrender, a sheepish grin on his face.
"Whoa, whoa, easy there, tiger! I knew I should've upgraded my phone plan to include 'dealing with angry best friends' insurance. But in my defense, I was, uh... busy saving the world? Or maybe I got distracted by a marathon of cat videos. They're surprisingly addictive, you know!"
He glanced at his friend, who was still watching the exchange with interest, and then turned back to me with a wink.
"But seriously, I'm sorry for ghosting you two. I'll explain everything later, but for now, I need to kiss my girl."
He looked at Vanessa, and she stopped him, putting her hand on his mouth. "I'm not your girl; we still have a lot to talk about, Wade."
Wade paused, eyes wide with mock horror. He slowly removed her hand, raising an eyebrow with a playful smirk.
"Oh, come on, Vanessa! You know, I can't resist kissing my favorite girl, even if I have to work a little harder for it. But I get it, I get it—relationship talk first, smooches later. Consider me on my best behavior. We can talk about anything and everything you want—whether it's why I've been MIA or what I'm planning for our next adventure."
As he looks at his friend, he slaps his own forehead.
"I almost forgot, ladies, feast your eyes on the one, the only, the eternally grumpy Canadian himself—Wolverine! Or, as I like to call him, Logan, he is the sharpest guy I know. And no, that's not just a reference to his claws." He nudged Wolverine with his elbow, grinning.
"This is the guy who puts the 'X' in 'X-Men' and the 'grr' in 'gruff.' When he's not busy saving the world or scowling, he's perfecting his signature brooding look and cutting sarcasm. You might say he's the best there is at what he does, and what he does is... make me look even more sexy by comparison." Wade turned to Vanessa and I with a wink.
"Don't worry; he's not as intimidating as he seems. Just give him a beer, and he'll be your best friend—or at least tolerate you with only minimal growling. Logan, meet Vanessa, my stunning muse, and Violet, my partner in crime. Try not to scare them off with your rugged charm, alright?" Logan just rolls his eyes at his stupid introduction.
Vanessa extends her arm to shake his hand, and he hesitates for a moment but shakes it with a firm grip. "Nice to meet you, Logan." She says with a smile. Logan responds with a sarcastic tone, "Yeah, you too."
I extend my hand to do the same, and he takes it, but my hand lingers in his for a moment before he quickly pulls away. It's nice to meet you, Logan. Knowing the mouth that Wade has on him, you must have dealt with a few suicidal thoughts." I ask, trying to lighten the mood.
He smirks at my question and says , "Yeah, you could say that."
Wade clapped his hands together with an exaggerated gasp, clearly delighted by the interaction.
"Oh, I see what's happening here! Bonding over my endless ability to drive people nuts! Classic move, Vi." he said with a playful grin.
He waggled his eyebrows at Wolverine. "See, Logan? I told you my best friend's got a wicked sense of humor. We could start a support group for people who've survived my witty repartee. 'Deadpool's Survivors Club.' Meetings every Tuesday—blizzard dust and therapy provided."
Vanessa and I laughed at his comment, and we all headed back to his place.
Tumblr media
Before I went to wades place I departed from the group and went into my apartment that was two doors over from his. I decided to get comfortable and take my working clothes off that had dirt on them from washing flowers.
I work at a flower shop that's about two blocks from here. I started working there about two years ago. The pay is great; I can pay my bills and treat myself once in a while. but I also live comfortingly because of my grandparents trust fund. My grandparents took care of me until I was 19 years old. They were doctors and were very successful. My parents died in a car crash when I was five. I don't really remember anything from that time. I guess my brain blocked all that trauma out. But regardless, I still ended up being experimented on by these mad scientists with some glowy gems. That's what granted me my abilities. And they used me to kill people. I try to forget at times, but now, ten years later, I'm here, surrounded by family who I adore.
I decided to change into a red tank top and grey sweatpants with my black and white Converse. By the look of the clouds, it looks like it's going to start to rain. I brush my hair and add a little makeup to clean myself up a bit. I finish up with a vanilla mist that Vanessa got me for my birthday, and I head out the door.
I knock on Wade's door, and through the door I hear muffling sounds and loud music. Nobody answers, so I open the door myself. The room is filled with some X-force members, along with Tin Man. Ellie and their adorable girl friend are singing kareoke. On the other side of the room in the kitchen, I see blind Al sniffing a line, Vanessa and Wade making out, and other junkies eating and drinking food. How did this escalate so quickly? I was only gone for 30 minutes. As I scanned the room to find a spot to sit, I saw Logan on the couch with a beer in his hand, watching Beyonce and Ariana horribly sing. There's a seat next to his, so I decided to sit next to him.
"Are you enjoying the party?" I asked with a smile.
Logan glanced at you, his expression flat.
"It's something, all right," he grumbled, taking another sip of his beer. "At least the beer's cold."
He shook his head slightly, watching the chaos unfold with a weary look.
"I've seen worse," he added with a shrug.
Logan leaned back, looking at you with a raised eyebrow. "You here to rescue me, or just enjoying the show?"
I pressed my lips together. He's not one to have a conversation with because he's so moody, and I'm determined to find out why, but I'll just play along with his nonchalant attitude for now.
"Just enjoying the show," I replied with a smirk. Logan's eyes narrowed slightly, but he didn't press further, turning his attention back to the chaos around us.
"Are you going to drink something?" he asked in a low voice.
"There's nothing here that doesn't destroy your liver." I said it with a tight smile.
"You don't drink?" he asked curiously.
"No." I said firmly, trying to keep the conversation light. "I prefer to keep a clear head in situations like this." Logan nodded, seemingly satisfied with my response, and we continued to watch the chaos unfold around us in silence.
"So, how did you meet Wade?" I asked curiously.
Logan took a moment, swirling his beer thoughtfully before answering.
"Well, it wasn't exactly a fairy tale," he replied with a wry smile. "Wade showed up out of nowhere, talking about timelines and some TVA nonsense. I thought he was just some weird fuck who wanted to mess with me."
He sighed, shaking his head at the memory.
"But then there was this whole thing with Cassandra threatening the timeline. I guess we ended up being unlikely allies. Not my first choice, but he's persistent."
Logan glanced at you, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Wade's like a bad rash; he just keeps coming back until you deal with him. At least this time, we managed to save the day and avoid a multiverse meltdown."
He shrugged, taking another sip of his beer. "You could say it was... educational."
I looked at him confused because, honestly, I did not understand any word that he said. He saw my expression puzzled but didn't focus too much on it.
"How did you meet a fucker like Wade?" he asked.
"It's a long story, but I've known him for about 6 years, and I met him when I auditioned for the X Force."
"Wait, you auditioned for the X Force? Why? " He looked at me strangely.
"Well, I have abilities of my own, and I wanted to use them for good." I said with a dry smile.
Logan nodded, processing your answer with a gruff expression.
"Abilities, huh?" he said, raising an eyebrow. "Wade's got a knack for attracting people like us. But an audition? That sounds like something only Wade would come up with."
Logan leaned back, giving you a more appraising look. "So, what can you do? And how've you survived six years with Wade without losing your mind?"
We talked about Wade and how fucked up in the head he was. Until I saw the time. It read 11:50.
"Oh, shoot, I have to get going. I have work in the morning." I said as I quickly stood up.
I quickly turned around and waved everyone good bye. As I headed for the door, Wade trotted after me with a mischievous grin on his face.
"Hey, wait up!" he called, catching up to me just as I stepped outside. "Before you disappear into the responsible adult dimension, I've got a burning question."
He leaned in conspiratorially, lowering his voice with mock seriousness. "So, does your annoying roommate still haunt your apartment, or have you finally exorcised that particular demon? I mean, I can't be the only one who thinks she's a walking buzzkill, right?"
I laughed at his remark about my ex roommate. I crossed my arms at his question.
"Why?" I said with a stern face.
Wade put on his best innocent face, which was hard to take seriously with the mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
"Oh, no reason," he said, feigning nonchalance as he rocked back on his heels. "It's just that I have this furry, brooding friend who might be in the market for a new place to crash."
He leaned in closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. "You see, Logan here has this whole 'lone wolf' vibe going on, but I think deep down, he's just a cuddly, oversized teddy bear in need of a cozy new den."
Wade wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. "Plus, think about it: free security, and you'll never have to worry about running out of beer. And if you two ever get into an argument, he's got that healing factor, so no worries about broken bones or anything."
He flashed a grin, clearly enjoying himself. "So, what do you say? Got room for one more grumpy Canadian in your life?"
I looked at him, trying to see if this would be a good idea. He gave me puppy eyes, and I responded by rolling my eyes back. "Is he messy?" I asked, annoyed.
"I don't think so; let me ask." He quickly turned around and started skipping to his door. Before I could say anything, he brought out Logan. In the dim light of the hallway, I could see through his white beater tank top, which revealed his muscular physique. It made my mouth salivate. Why am I thinking this way?
I look at Wade, and he looks at Logan. " Are you messy?"
Logan crossed his arms, giving Wade a skeptical look before turning his attention to you.
"Messy?" he grunted, his voice gravelly. "Not really. I keep to myself and clean up after I eat.
Logan glanced at Wade, then back at you, with a hint of a smirk. "But if you're expecting a neat freak, you might want to look elsewhere. I'm not exactly Martha Stewart."
He paused for a moment, reading your expression, and added, "And don't worry, I don't bite. Much."
I rolled my eyes at his comment. He's clearly drunk, but I trust he's just trying to make a joke. Plus, his honesty about his habits is refreshing in a roommate.
"Fine." I said with a thin smile.
Wade's eyes lit up with excitement as soon as I said "fine."
"Score one for Team Wolverine!" he exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air like he'd just won a championship. "You won't regret it! Well, maybe a little, but hey, what's life without some excitement, right?"
He clapped Logan on the back with a playful grin. "Welcome to your new home, bub! Remember, no claw marks on the good furniture, and try to keep the late-night growling to a minimum unless you want Violet to reconsider."
Wade turned back to you, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "You've got yourself a real-life superhero as a roommate! Not everyone can say that. Just don't let him hog the remote on movie night—or the weed stash."
He gave you a thumbs up, clearly pleased with the outcome. "So, when's the housewarming party? I'll bring the chimichangas and some earplugs for those late-night howls, or we can do a threesome, whichever you prefer."
I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
I drew my attention to Logan before I spoke. "Go get your stuff so you can settle in." I said this as I turned to unlock my door. Wade kissed me on the cheek and walked with Logan back to his apartment.
I turned on the light from the spare room and thanked God that I cleaned it the second that whore Sara moved out because it was a mess. Luckily, the bed had fresh sheets, and it smelled clean. I heard a firm knock on the door.
That must be Logan.
I opened the door and saw Adam drunk and crying.
"Adam, what the hell are you doing here?" Adam, my cheating ex-boyfriend that I mentioned before, was here begging me to take him back and to forgive him for fucking my roommate on my new couch.
I crotched down to his level and said, "I'm never going to fucking forgive you for what you did to me. We were fucking engaged, but you chose to fuck another girl. Not a random girl, my fucking roommate, who I considered my closest friend. You know how I feel about lies and betrayals." I said with tears forming in my eyes. I know that he used and hurt me, but I can't help but feel heartbroken, even though this happened two months ago. He started to come closer until I tripped back on my ass. I landed on the floor, and he was on top of me. "Get off of me!" I said angrly. As I squirmed under him, I felt my eyes glow, and my powers wanted to come out and play, but I held the urge as I was fighting him off. All of a sudden, I hear loud footsteps coming towards us. Logan comes out of nowhere and grabs him by the collar. He yanks him onto the floor. My eyes are still closed as I try to control my outburst. I hear Logan yell at him, to never set foot here again, and Adam runs off.
As I control my breathing, Logan comes next to me and leans in. "It's ok, he's gone." He said in a low voice. I feel better for some reason now that he's by my side. I thank him still, with my eyes closed. I stand up and open my eyes to see him staring into mine. I blink the tears away and grab a glass of water.
"Who was that punk?" he asks, his voice laced with concern. I take a deep breath before responding, "My ex-boyfriend." I said calmly.
He doesn't say anything. I stand still until I finish my cup of water.
"Ok, sorry about that. Let's start with the tour. I have to get up early tomorrow. " I said with a soft smile. He nodded and proceeded with the living room.
As I gave the tour, he stared very intently at everything. How the laundry machines worked and where stuff was located in the kitchen. And I offered him a glass of water. After I gave a tour of everything but the bedrooms, he jugged the glass of water, and I stared intensely. The way his Adam's apple would bob from the gulp and the water droplets rolling down on his throat onto his hairy chest. He's so handsome and muscular. The way his dark blue jeans hug his thighs and how tight his pants are around the crotch area makes me feel parched. I quickly composed myself before he noticed I was staring too hard. Oh, he noticed
I opened my bedroom to let him take a peek. "Here's my bedroom, so if you need anything, just knock on the door. Next to mine is yours." I opened the bedroom door, and it was simple not girly or masculine, just normal. He shook his head in greatfulness. "Thank you for letting me stay here. It means a lot." I smiled at him as a response.
"I left you some things on your bed that you might need, but if you don't have any questions, then this is it." I smiled once more and walked into my room.
He walked into his, and we both closed our doors. I quickly put on my pijamas, which were a pair of short shorts and a small tank top. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. As I walked back to my room, I heard a knock on my door. It was him asking if he could borrow a toothbrush. I thought I gave him one, but I must have forgotten. I walked over to the restroom, and he followed. I could feel his eyes on me, but I didn't pay too much attention. I leaned down to grab a new toothbrush from under the sink, forgetting that my ass was full on display for him to see. I gave him the brush and said good night.
"Goodnight," he said back in a nicer tone.

Chapter 15 - Uh Oh | ‘Ours’
“Erm… where were you?!” Winnie yelped when you returned to your area of the club. “You left me alone with a strange man!” she grabbed your arm and pulled you to the side.
“I didn’t leave with a strange man. I left you with T’s friends, one of which you had your tongue down his throat so I kind of assumed you were okay being near him.” You quipped with a smug smile. Winnie didn’t realize you had caught her cheeky makeout with Jadon as you walked to the bathroom about an hour ago.
“Regardless!” She yelped again. You rolled your eyes. She stopped a waitress by your table and she grabbed 2 shots off a tray. “Here…” She handed you one. “Actually…” She grabbed 3 more. “Jadon!” She called for him, interrupting his conversation. As expected, like many boys before him, when Winnie called they answered. “George” She pulled the back of George’s shirt nearby. He turned around pretending that Winnie had yanked him over with some force which she hadn’t. You shook your head at his theatrics. Winnie asked him where Trent was. Trent was with George but since Winnie had begun her round up he had found his way over to you. “Oh shit! Sorry, I didn’t know you were here already.” She laughed seeing Trent. “Sorry! Okay, to George, Happy Birthday, Jadon, nice to meet you, Trent, I hope you had fun fucking my sister! Cheers!” She yelled before she ripped her shot back. Your jaw slacked. You slapped at her arm. You watched everyone at the table take theirs.
“Thank you, Winnie, that was very nice of you.” George had a goofy smile on his face, drunk beyond belief, loving that Winnie paid him mind and that she just called Trent out. George had a slight crush on Winnie. It was definitely more of a looks based attraction. You couldn’t really imagine it passed that. He didn’t know her all that well. You understood Winnie was gorgeous but she was outgoing and George was fairly reserved. It definitely didn’t go over your head though as you sat at dinner to celebrate his birthday while Winnie macked on Jadon. She wasn’t doing it on purpose, she didn’t know he had a thing for her.
“I did have a fun time so yeah, thank you very much, Win” Trent joked pinching in between her shoulder and neck. He rested his chin on you with a sly smile.
“Thank you for including me, Win. George, Happy Birthday bro.” Jadon spoke before he eyed that you hadn’t taken your shot. “Y/N… What’s this? It’s George’s birthday. Go on…” He gave you a sinister smile. You shut your eyes.
“Go on, baby or if you don’t want it, I’ll take it for you.” Trent cooed sweetly kissing your cheek.
“No! No! That’s not how this works! It’s for George’s birthday, welcoming Jadon, and for fucking her, she has to take it.” Winnie quipped with a similar smile to Jadons.
“Okay… Can we just stop with the whole I got fucked please? Like I didn’t…” You tried to keep talking but everyone just jeered.
“Y/N, first off, don’t be such a pussy. Take the shot, you used to be so fun. Secondly, your delusional if you think anyone here believes you two were just gone for an hour and didn’t fuck. Also, T came back with a fresh hickey that wasn’t there when the day started… you know what I’m not going to explain to you that you just had sex in vegas club...” Winnie kept rambling. The way she said it made it sound absolutely disgusting so you laughed. George shook his head at Winnie as she continued. Jadon looked at Winnie amazed with the way she spoke to you but more so at the speed at which she was talking.
“Baby, just take the shot please. Winnie, shut up.” Trent laughed, pinching her cheeks together, pursing her lips closed against her will. You dumped the glass of tequila in your mouth and swallowed so Trent let go of her. Winnie gave you a satisfied smile.
“T, baby?” you cooed asking for his attention as you walked down the corridor of the hotel towards your room. He hummed letting go of your hand momentarily to unlock the door. “Do you think I’m fun?”
“What?” He laughed a little confused as he pushed the door to your room open. Looking back at you as he held it open.
“Like do you think I’m fun? I feel like now I’m a mum.. Let’s do something fun.” While the door shut behind you, you came up to Trent and backed him into one of the entryway walls. You ran your hands up his chest and over his shoulders. You leaned in and started to kiss on his neck. He rolled his head to the side to give you more room loving the feeling of your lips on him.
“Yeah? You want to show me you’re fun?” He asked you. You hummed against his neck. “Where do you wanna be fun, baby?” Trent looked unfairly pretty all the time. He didn’t even have to try. The hour you spent this morning on your makeup couldn’t keep up with his genetics. You envied Teddy for inheriting the lottery that was his features. You sank into his embrace loving the way his hands felt on you. He dropped them lower and lower down your back until he could cheekily slap your ass. You gasped at the sting of it but didn’t even have time to scold him before he picked you up by the back of your thighs. You wrapped your legs around him tight and dragged your foot down his spine. He carried you outside onto the balcony. You moaned when you felt your back press into the railing.
“Can you kiss me, T?” You whined looking deep into his perfect mahogany eyes. You didn’t mean to sound so whiny but just the way he picked you up felt so rough and you wanted him to take control subconsciously. He smirked at you loving that he got you to a place where you were asking for him. He slid his thumb over your lips before he tilted your chin and pressed his to yours.
“I need more of you, baby.” He pulled away, breaking your steamy kiss. “I need you so bad.” He gruffed before his lips met yours again. Your hands were all over each other as you peeled your clothes off from tonight. His words were like gasoline on a fire. He treated you like a rag doll once your clothes were all peeled off. He set you down to stand on the balcony of your hotel room high above the city of Las Vegas in just the pretty bra you had worn under your top. He turned your body around slow. You bent over the railing willingly raising your ass into the night air. Trent let his spit fall onto your ass. He watched it fall down over your ass and into the folds of your pussy. His hands caressed the fat of your ass. He ran his hand up your spine.
“Did you like not wearing anything tonight?” You cocked your head to the side to see him. You gave a cheeky grin and shook your head ‘no.’ “Nah? Not even for me, baby. Didn’t like that I had these in my pocket all night?” He spoke to you with his lips right behind your ear in the sexiest way. He had pulled you back up to him, your back to his chest. He said he needed you but you thought you were going to scream if he didn’t touch you soon. He licked against your earlobe. He knew exactly what he was doing, riling you up. You felt his chest rumble when he silently giggled as you tried to rub your ass against his hardening cock to get him to do something, anything.
“T… Please, baby. It’s not funny.” You whined. He kissed your neck with a sly smirk. He grabbed your wrists off the railing and held them together behind your back. You felt him pull out said thong you hadn’t been wearing all night and wrapped them around your wrists linking them tightly together. You whimpered as he tightened them. “Oh fuck… T, You weren't kidding about that?”
“No baby, I’m not fucking about. I am here to have fun with you, yeah? I thought you wanted that?” He cooed in a teasing tone. You felt his hand slip underneath you dragging his fingers through your absolutely drenched folds and you whimpered. “I want you to make a mess on my fingers, can you do that for me?” he whispered into your ear as you nodded desperately overwhelmed by the intrusion of his fingers entering you. He curled his fingers inside you finding your gspot in seconds. He refused to let up. You were practically riding his fingers. Your moans getting increasingly louder when his thumb pressed harsh circles on your clit. You let out a soft cry as you rocked your hips onto his hand. Almost immediately you felt your orgasm come crashing over you. Your body shaking, if he wasn’t holding you, you would’ve collapsed. “Good girl.” He whispered in your ear. He teased you, dragging his leaking tip across the smooth skin of your ass before slipping it between your folds teasing your entrance. He slowly pushed his cock into your pussy without another word. You were completely drenched. You could feel yourself coat his length in your slick again and again as he drilled in and out of you. The recoil of your ass from his hard thrusts had Trent in pure heaven. God, it must’ve been a good 30 minutes of him just blowing your back out until you felt like your legs were going to give out. Trent could tell. You got whiny and had a hard time staying up and withstanding his force.
“You okay, baby? Want me to take care of you now?” you got out a measly ‘please.’ “Yeah? Alright baby. Just gimme cum f’me like this and then I’ll take care of you.”
“T…” You whined as you felt his hand come to rub tight harsh circles on your clit. You didn’t have a shot in hell at lasting. “Oh my god, baby, please.” You cried. You felt the tears roll down your face. Your high crashed over you
“Alright… c’mere baby.” He turned you around. “Promise, okay?” You nodded with a shy smile. You stepped forward and pressed your forehead against his chest. He rubbed your back before he picked you and carried you to the couch on the balcony. He laid your back down onto the cushion.
“I love you so much.” You pulled Trent down to you by his biceps pressing your lips to his. Your watery eyes looked up at him. He kissed you again.
“I love you, baby. Always. Want me to keep fucking you?” He gave you such a innocent sweet smile but he was eager to get back inside.
“Please” you giggled
“Ah yeah, fine, I guess I can. If you want” He threw his head to the side pretending it wasn't really something he wanted but Trent hadn’t cum yet and he was dying. He just needed to make sure you were okay. You were impatient though missing the feeling of him so you pulled him closer to your entrance. He slid his painfully hard cock back inside your dripping pussy. He was brash and filled you completely right away, unable to wait any longer. You took his whole length. You gasped at the way his cock stretched you out. Trent let out a moan that made your pussy twitch. Your arms scratched at his back as your legs wrapped tight around his waist. “Want me to cum inside you, baby? Fill you up?” He asked you with his lips nibbling on your neck as he began to drill into you. You nodded ardently with a whimper, unable to speak. “Want me to get you pregnant again? That what you want?” he grunted.
“Oh my god, T!” You yelped as he pushed somehow even deeper inside of you. “Fuck…” You don’t know what it was but just the idea of the beautiful man that you loved above you getting you pregnant, carrying his child set you off. Your pussy clenched tighter around him. He threw his head back in pleasure before he came forward again raising one of your legs up above your head keeping it straight. He softly kissed your ankle. The new position made your jaw slack.
“Cum f’me. Can you do that for me, baby?” He breathed into your neck. His thrusts were mind numbingly perfect. His warm lips covering your collarbones in steamy kisses. His pace had become relentless, his hips unforgiving as he moved, driving his cock in and out of you, consistently hitting a spot so deep inside you. You didn’t really have an option if you came or not, you were going to.
“Fuck, gonna cum beautiful.” he cursed. His fingers dug into your skin and his nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck, as he pushed his hips into one last time before he spilled into your tight heat. Trent’s eyes rolled back at the way you gently moved your hips against his to help him ride out his high. You stayed like that for ages. The hot Southwest night air encompassing you. “C’mon… bringing you inside. I gotta lay down.” He laughed while picking you up. You weren’t sure how he managed because you felt like you could barely move. You wrapped your legs around him tightly and nestled yourself against his chest. He sat down on the bed and laid back.
“I hope no one else was outside on their balcony…” You looked up at him with a laugh. Trent’s eyes were closed but a cheeky smile started to pull his lips. You kissed him gently. He started laughing. He rolled his head to the side holding you tighter to him.
“I’m hungry, baby.” He turned back to look at you. “You want anything?” He sat up and reached for the hotel room phone. You shook your head ‘no’ at first. He gave you a patient glare. “You’re not eating my food, so what do you want?” He laughed.
“You wouldn’t share with me?” You pouted. “Me… The mother of your child? You wouldn’t share?” You draped your arms around his neck dramatically as if you were begging him. He shook his head ‘no.’ “Fine… fine… I think I want….” You rattled off way too much food. You laid in bed on top of him exhausted waiting. He ran his hands up and down your sides racking over your ribs when you heard a knock on the door. Room service had arrived. It was about 5 am at this point you should be eating breakfast probably but you had ordered all sorts of things. Trent was a bit more cautious with his order considering he was in season. He hadn’t even drank that much and your eyes were probably bigger than your stomach.
“Can you get it…” You giggled before you gave Trent a pouty face and puppy dog eyes.
“You’re on top of me!” He laughed at you. “How do you want me to.. Ugh.” He groaned sitting up bringing your body with his. “Alright c’mon.” Trent sat up right using his core strength and moved to the edge of the bed. You wrapped your legs around him before placing a kiss on his lips. He stood up and turned around. “Thank you. Now, let go.” he leaned over so your back was to the mattress. You let go over him and your limbs flopped onto the bed. Trent pulled on his boxers and made his way to the door.
“Thank youuuu” You sang cheekily happily getting situated back under the covers. He joined you and you ate about ¼ of your food. Trent ate about half of yours complaining the whole time that he shouldn’t have been doing it which was cute. You cuddled up, splitting the milkshake you had gotten watching a film until you realized you had about three hours before you had to leave to get to the race track.
“You’ve always been fun. Every day, baby.” Trent cooed ghosting his lips over your hair as you began to drift to sleep.
“How can I be more fun though?” You asked quietly. Trent was quiet for a moment trying to think about how to answer this correctly.
“Baby I think you’re the most fun. Maybe you need some spontaneity though.” He looked down at you and brushed some of your hair behind your ear.
“One year olds don’t do spontaneity.” You giggled sleepily imaging your little girl who you missed so much.
“Well I do. Give it a go sometime. Do something that you think would surprise me.” he cooed in a soft tone. You laid in bed with Trent in silence thinking of all the ways you could potentially ‘surprise’ him until his voice cut off your thoughts.
“Baby? When did you stop telling me?” He spoke quietly, almost half asleep. You looked up at him confused “like when you want me to blow your back out, when did you stop telling me?”
“Oh… I don’t know just has been so hectic, we’re on your schedule now so.” You responded, trying to brush it off. Frankly, it wasn’t really a thought out thing. You weren’t actively trying not to tell him.
“It’s our schedule.” He corrected you.
“I am not paid by Liverpool Football Club so not exactly... “ You giggled, reaching up to brush your thumb over his high cheekbone.
“Baby…” He cooed. You softly smiled at him. “I promise you for the rest of my life you can always tell me you want me to fuck you. Alright?” He laughed pretty damn sure every time you asked 99/100 times he was going to say yes.
“Okay, what about right now?” You cheekily asked him.
“C’mere.” he dragged your face up to his smushing a wet sloppy kiss on your lips, squishing your body impossibly tight to him.
You and Winnie had a flight back to New York from Las Vegas. You hated leaving Trent but you were desperate to get back to your baby. When you landed you and Winnie met your parents in Manhattan to get Teddy and then went to her apartment. You FaceTimed Lauren from her tiny living room exhausted from your travels but relieved to have the cutest girl in the world back in your arms.
“Winnie! I don’t know what you should do. It’s your call. It’s you and him in the bed, not me.” You finished your sentence with a little laugh..
“It wasn’t in the bed.” She giggled. You and Lauren rolled your eyes. You were updating her all about the trip you had just been on despite the fact that you were going to see her for dinner in a few hours.
“So it was fun?” Lauren cooed with interest.
“Y/N got her back blow out though.” Winnie felt inclined to let her know, trying to deviate away from the conversation about her. Lauren’s jaw dropped sarcastically to tease you. You having sex wasn’t exactly that groundbreaking.
“Okay, we need to stop saying that. I’ve heard that phrase more in the last 24 hours than I needed to in a lifetime.” You flashed a glare at Winnie. Returning back to your friend group an hour later from the bathroom of a club didn’t go unnoticed. Winnie was all ears of course when you finally caved and told her about the amazing sex you had. It was brag worthy, to be fair.
“Oooo how good did he fuck you? Mum and Daddddddyyy” Lauren teased you laughing. Teddy squealed, hearing the playful way Lauren sang ‘daddy.’ Winnie joined in riling up Teddy tickling her tummy.
“Guys! We’re talking about her father stop!!!!” You laughed trying to scold them but it was funny. “Yeah, you like dada, huh? We miss him right? We’ll call him in a second, Ted.” You cooed in a baby voice just to her.
“Ew! Well don’t say that!” Winnie gave you a sick face. You ignored her childishness about highlighting that Trent was Teddy’s dad. The three of you had a field day calling him daddy. He hated it when they did it but it always made you laugh.
“Aw, our Teddy girl. We only got you because your mummy was a little slutty, maybe we’ll get you a cousin with Win.” Lauren joked. She was poking fun about the morning you had had before you made it to the airport with Winnie which included an urgent stop at a pharmacy.
“No, stop. Not funny. No cousins, thank you.” Winnie quickly scolded Lauren for a joke she didn’t appreciate.
“No, we got her because mummy loves dada and we wanted you more than anything in the world. We love you so much, baby.” You corrected Lauren’s statement more speaking to Teddy and kissing her incessantly.
“Wait… so why is it any different than when you do it!?” Winnie yelped. She had been debating with you and Lauren and really herself if it was okay or not that she had let Jadon cum inside her. You couldn’t say anything, you didn’t have a horse in the race, you were holding a baby.
“Winnie, because you had to buy Plan B this morning!” Lauren screamed through the phone. Honestly, they were just being precautionary and it’s not like your first few nights with Trent were any different. It was a heat of the moment thing.
“Yeah, well who asked you.” Winnie waved her hand dismissing Lauren. She didn’t want to hear the facts.
“You called me. Goodbyeee. See you soon my pretty girls!” Lauren cooed before she hung up. You had dinner in a little over near Lauren’s apartment but you obviously couldn’t wait until then to spill all the tea. Teddy was coming so it was fairly early but you were still excited to go out in the city again with them.
“Can you believe almost 2 years ago you just had sex one day or night and now you have a baby.” Winnie turned to you on her couch, pulling both her legs up onto the cushion. She said it like it was the craziest thing in the world.
“That was the goal, Win.” You laughed. Then for a moment you paused trying to think about what day or night it might’ve been. You never really did the math. You were just so excited.
“Insane. Like you were ‘trying’' Winnie air quoted the word and then turned back to her TV shaking her head imagining that.
“Ugh I hate when people say that. ‘Trying’” you rolled your eyes. “Like you and him are trying, to everyone else you’re just having sex.” You spoke to her but she had already checked out. She wasn’t even watching TV anymore; she was engrossed in her phone. You were quiet for a little while before Winnie began kicking her feet against the couch excitedly. “What was that?” You laughed at her with curiosity about what had her so giddy. She turned her phone for you to see a message from Jadon.
‘So into you. Can’t stop thinking about you.’
“Well what did you send him?” You asked naively. You were happy she had a fun weekend. Of course, it did make you slightly nervous that the two people you were closest with were both talking to Trent’s friends. You hoped it would be fine, nothing dramatic happen. Jadon wasn’t as close but still you just hoped this either worked or had an amicable end.
“That’s besides the point!” She smirked. She didn’t need to tell you. The face alone gave it away immediately. Clearly it was something dirty.
“Winnie!” You yelled. She fell forward, pressing her forehead against your thigh attempting to hide her face from you. She sat back up and nestled into the corner of the couch though holding her phone high and tight to her chest as she responded.
“I don’t even want to see your response. Do we, Ted?” You giggled and kissed Teddy’s temple as she sat in your lap happily. “You know, I never put that together but you with a London boy makes a lot of sense.” You tried to discuss the possibility with Winnie but she was in her own world. A silly smile glued on her face as she texted away. Maybe at dinner she’d give you more.
December was a really busy month for Trent so he flew back directly to Liverpool for work. You were planning on staying in New York for a few days to check out some things for the wedding. It was really hard to do all of it remotely. You needed to see things first hand and approve a lot. You felt like the date was fast approaching. Your mum hated the idea but you and Trent decided you wanted to do it this summer. Why wait was your mentality. Your mum would’ve preferred she had two years to plan but that wasn’t going to happen you wanted to be his wife. You were a little worried about having Teddy alone for a few days but it’d be fine. You had Winnie and Lauren around. You few days passed and you went to the Plaza to look at florals, colors of tablecloths and plates. You’d text Trent everysingle decision you’d be asked to make and he’d respond with a simple ‘I trust you.’ It was fine. It was a little sad you couldn’t do it together but this is how things were. You and Lauren went to Ellie Saab one day for a fitting for a dress you wanted to wear the night before. Then you facetimed Trent from Tavern on the Green to look at the back garden and discuss menus. It was all a blur so day three or four of your trip, Winnie offered to take you and Teddy for lunch uptown to not think about the wedding for a little. You appreciated it. You were on the phone with Trent walking with Winnie and Teddy after you ate at Saint Ambrose on the Upper East Side.
“Can you go check on something for me while you’re in the area?” Trent asked you over the phone. You nodded and he said he’d text you the information. You didn’t understand what he was asking you to do. Anything he ever did or anyone he knew in New York was usually through you.
“What does that even mean?” You looked at Winnie after you hung up. You clicked the address he sent and went on your way. What you didn’t know was that Winnie and Trent were in cahoots the whole time. She helped plan this because he couldn’t be there. You walked into a residential apartment. It was a beautiful building with a gorgeous lobby but you didn’t understand what you were even there for. “What are we doing… this is so sus” You turned around to her as you pushed Teddy in her pram through the door towards the doorman.
“I know! For real.” Winnie lied pretending she was as confused as you. Trent had asked you to ‘check on something’ whatever that meant at this apartment.
“Hi, I need to pick something up I think?” You said unsure and with a question mark at the end. You looked back at Winnie once more with a ‘what the fuck do I say’ type of look. “Its Apartment 26A?” You told the doorman.
“Oh, of course mam. We were expecting you today.” He looked past you and at Winnie. Which you should’ve clocked in retrospect. He escorted you to the elevators and up you went. You went to the apartment and knocked.
“Trent said it’d be open right?” She looked at you for confirmation but you had no idea. She smiled and turned the doorknob. She opened it a little and let you push. It was an empty apartment. Big, white, and bright. You walked in just as confused as you were when you entered the building. You haphazardly stepped further inside into what you assumed to be the living space. Massive windows paneling the wall let light flood in. You squinted, it was so bright. There was obviously no window furnishings yet. When your eyes adjusted you looked at the hardwood floor and saw a few pieces of paper. You beant over and picked them up and thought you were going to literally fall over when you started reading. It was the original receipt from your first date with Trent. There was a card with it asking you on a date to the same restaurant and a little note.
‘I don’t want you to forget how equally important your life and your background is to our daughter. I love you both so much. Call me. T xx
You crouched down and began to cry. What was this? You grabbed your phone out of your purse and immediately called Trent obviously as instructed.
“What the fuck is this?” You sobbed. He laughed as he answered. You could tell he was training in the gym so he walked out of the room to hear you better.
“What do you think, baby?” He asked you like you were supposed to understand.
“To dinner? Sure.” You giggled.
“Yeah… baby, I figured but I meant about the apartment. It’s ours if you want it. I didn’t want to make a big decision like that without you and before the wedding if you get me but it can be, is what I’m saying.” He cooed with a smile. You had to sit down you could squat anymore you felt dizzy like your legs were going numb. You started crying and wiped the flooding tears off your face with your free hand. You nodded with a pout though. “Good. I love you, baby.”
You sat on the floor looking around the apartment and just kept crying after you hung up with him. Maybe the stress of planning and all the different time zones were getting to you or maybe you were just emotional. Trent didn’t have to do this. You loved living in England and you were happy Teddy was being raised there but this really was special. Winnie stood with Teddy at the big windows identifying and pointing to things outside as she giggled. This was really special.
You sat on the living room floor of Lauren’s apartment the following day with Teddy still in shock that you’d have an apartment in Manhattan again for her. You were watching Trent’s match which was weird to be having US pundits again but you were just happy you could watch at all and support him. The camera stuck to him as they discussed the upcoming fixture and his past performances.
“Is that your dada, Teddy girl?” You asked Teddy as she giggled loving seeing Trent’s face blown up on Lauren's big TV screen. Of course, they had to note that Trent attended the Grand Prix recently. It was just so typical for American coverage to focus on something so unrelated. ‘Looks like he had a lot of fun in Vegas’ one pundit said as Trent turned his head. The side of his neck, right before the color of his jersey began was a love bite, a bruising mark still visible on his fading tanned skin.
“Y/N!!! Oh my god! You did him dirty. He’s on live TV.” You shut your eyes a little embarrassed as Lauren yelled laughing that you obviously were the one that left that on him. “Your child is watching!” She teased. You rolled your eyes. “His mum will see that. Slutty, slutty, slutty.”
“Oh my god! Don’t say that!” You flicked your head back at her at the realization. It didn’t matter that you had a kid, that you were getting married, you didn’t want Dianne to know you were marking Trent up. You watched the game and Trent was in really good form. He was having a strong start to the season. The first half was okay it was 2-1 Liverppol but they really needed the win. All was looking good until the 65th minute or so when… honestly you weren't even sure what happened. All of sudden when the camera pulled to a wide angle you could see trent bent over holding onto the goal post in pain.
“What just happened…” You yelped, turning to Lauren. She shook her head equally confused. The game continued to play on so he proceeded to try to run but you could see he was limping. “Oh my god, Lauren… He needs to get off the pitch what just happened.” You thought you were going to have a panic attack when he bent over again in pain. You couldn’t believe you weren't there, that you couldn’t do anything while you just watched him. Trent had never really had many injuries before and practically none since you got together so this was uncharted.
“He’s fine. I’m sure it’s just a cramp.” Lauren cooed quietly trying to calm you down. You stood up and paced holding Teddy.
“He’s not. I know him, he’s not. He wouldn’t drag something out like this if it didn’t actually hurt.” You felt sick. Why was the ball still in play. You think maybe three minutes passed but it felt like an hour. “Stop playing! Oh my god. This is so dumb.” You watched until about the 70th minute when he finally got subbed off. You were relieved but then panic set in when he walked down the tunnel back to the locker room. That wasn’t good. You needed to get home.
You spoke to Trent after the game and he said he was fine. It was a muscle pull but it just tightened up so badly he couldn’t move it on the pitch. He said it already felt better but you didn’t really believe that. You knew he was just trying to settle your nerves. Thankfully your flight was tomorrow morning. You and Teddy got all your bags and said goodbye to Lauren and Winnie and began your long trip back to England. It wasn’t too bad. Teddy barely slept at all during the flight which made things interesting but for the hour she did you decided to listen to a podcast episode Liverpool had put out that Trent was on. He told you not to listen to it. It was just him babbling about things you already knew. You told him would though regardless because you just wanted to hear him talk to you for an hour when you couldn’t be with him so that’s just what you did.
“Trent, we know you don’t talk much about your private life off the pitch but we did want to say congratulations since you did share Instagram recently that you’re going to be getting married.” One of the podcasts hosts congratulated him and by proxy, you guessed, you. You had decided to finally share on Instagram a picture from your engagement and Trent had reshared it. You had been avoiding the internet since to be honest because you didn’t really want to read any negative comments.
“Yeah, yeah. Thank you. Marrying the love of my life. I’m very excited for this summer.” Trent told them and in turn revealed that you’d be getting married this summer which wasn’t a big deal most footballers got married in the summer.
“You seem to be taking on a lot of responsibility.” The other host didn’t ask a question but just kind of laid the fact out in the open. “Vice captain, dad, husband” He listed Trent’s titles.
“I think vice captain is probably the easiest you know.” He laughed. The sound of his coquettish laugh shattered your heart. You just wanted to rush home to him and instead you were stuck hours away. “I’m learning to be a dad. My fiance is just the most incredible mum. Straight out the gate she’s been amazing.” You pouted at his sweet compliment. It wasn’t true, you were learning how to be a parent along with him “It’s definitely not hard to love her, it’s hard not to if you’ve ever met her. So I think making the decision to get married was not really a decision at all. I couldn’t imagine my life without her. Erm…but I think you know, taking on roles like that in my personal life…” Trent kept yapping segueing away from details about his life to get back to talking about football. You could just feel your whole body relaxing hearing him. It was so comfortable. It’s not like you didn’t speak to him before you took off, it just was nice and comforting. You couldn’t wait to get home. “I’m so blessed. A lot of people always say ‘oh what a nice life you’re able to provide for your family’ all these types of things and it’s very true. We’re fortunate in a lot of ways because of my job but honestly I couldn’t dream of the things my fiance provides for me and our daughter. What she gives to us is priceless and beyond comparison. I love that when I come off the pitch doing the thing I love most in the world I get to go home to the people that I love most in the world. If I have a bad game or things aren't going my way, I have my family and that’s so important for me. I’ve really never been happier.” You couldn't stop the silly smile coming across your face. He told you these things but the fact that he spoke about you like that in a professional setting, to other people, for the world to hear just made you melt.
You opened twitter and went to go see what people had said about the podcast. There of course was plenty of discourse about what he said about the team tactics and club related things but the other thing that seemed to populate a lot of conversation was the engagement.
“They’re engagedd??? I’m screaming!’
‘Trent fucking Alexander-Arnold is fucking engaged!”
‘I saw a TikTok of them in New York when he said she was his fiance STG’
That was the one. Frankly you hadn’t seen the TikTok but you remember doing the interview on the street in SoHo. The TkTok resurfaced after the podcast and everyone went berserk. They were shocked that you and Trent had kept this so wrapped up. It was also one of the few times people saw all 3 of you together and one of the even fewer times that they heard you speak. It made you laugh a little seeing all the chaos online, a little sad when people took shots at you, proud when people commented on how beautiful Teddy was but it was just nice that all the while you were scrolling you got to listen to your fiance’s calm voice.
When you got home you felt like you were going to cry seeing Trent. He just looked so sad. His already natural pout turned down even further. He looked so sleepy and cozy on your couch. When you had gotten through all your hellos and I miss yous you had gone upstairs to unpack your bags. Teddy stayed with Trent. He had some sort of like compression ice thing on his outstretched leg on the couch. Teddy sat on the floor pulling herself up and down excitedly playing her own game of peek-a boo with him. Trent hated when he couldn’t move like this. He’d go stir crazy but having Teddy for entertainment and extra cuddles didn’t make it as bad.
“Uh Oh!” Teddy cooed with a pout after she pulled herself once more to stand up holding onto the couch. She finally noticed Trent’s leg. She gave him an adorably sad face.
“Yeah, uh oh, Ted.” He laughed, picking her up from underneath her chubby arms. “C’mere, baby.” she giggled as he placed her to sit on his stomach. “Did you miss me?” She just kinda plopped forward to give him a hug. You felt like she could fully understand questions and directions, she just was still building her vocabulary. Trent answered a call from a trainer after Teddy had fallen asleep on his chest. You came downstairs and sat by his feet. You kissed his ankle waiting patiently as he listened to a reminder of his instructions for the next couple days. When he hung up, he patted the seat next to him so you came and cozied up to him. You leaned your head onto his chest and pushed some of Teddy’s little curls off her face. You smiled at him when the dogs came running into the room. One jumped on the couch next to you. Teddy woke up slowly hearing the jingles of their collars and the comotion. You pulled him into your lap and gave him a good scratch and cuddle. Teddy pushed herself upright with a huff and looked at you.
‘Woof!’ she pointed at the dog in your lap. You smiled and laughed. She had started to label things, not necessarily by their correct names but the ones that made sense and sort of stuck.
“Yeah, woof. Good job, smart girl. It’s a doggie. Can you say dog for me?” She gave it a go but just landed back on saying woof. So your dogs for the meantime were ‘woof’ and so were any other four legged animal.
“We got ‘woof’ before ‘daddy’ I don’t understand.” Trent looked at you a little annoyed but it was softened when Teddy cuddled back into his chest. You and he both knew she’d get there. She definitely knew that he was dada. She loved being with dada. Maybe it was just ‘d’ sounds you weren’t sure but you did feel a little bad. You crawled into bed that night happy to be back home with him.
“I missed you.” You whispered close to him under the covers. You dragged your hand over his chest and down his abs towards the waistband of his boxers. He looked good in any lighting but there were certain ones like the one you were in right now that he just looked exceptionally good. The way your bedroom had a warm glow to it before you turned the final light off that just worked for him. He looked angelic and simultaneously deliciously sexy.
“I can’t baby…” He groaned, annoyed at his own predicament. “I’m sorry.” He whispered, leaning his forehead on yours. You probably could find a sex position that would work for you but it probably wasn’t a great idea so soon after the injury. You understood you were just being cheeky.
“I know… I love you though.” You pouted at him teasingly. You’d have to find a position that would work for him though soon. You cuddled up closer to him the way you’d fall asleep with your head on his chest and one hand next to it. But you coyly placed that hand lower and lower and lower. “Goodnight.” You whispered one final time letting that hand get just about to where his hardening cock was.
“Stop!” He laughed. “Get your hands off me.” he whispered with a smile he couldn’t suppress. The rest of that week was slow paced. Trent would go into AXA for workouts and assessments for his muscle pull. He was sort of moody but you understood all he wanted to do was be back out playing.
“It’s constant.” He looked at you amazed and surprised as you fed Teddy some strawberries you had cut up for her. 2 weeks had passed and Trent was getting a lot closer to returning to the first team training but he still wasn’t there yet which meant he had been home a lot more and with Teddy a lot more.
“I know.” You laughed as Teddy squealed, squishing a strawberry in her hand and then pressing the mess it into the tabletop. She was a very happy baby, fairly quiet most of the time but she was still a baby. Trent wasn’t used to a full day shift with her. Sure, he was there the whole time in the summer but so were you. It was 2 v 1 and she was under a year old. In a short few months she was walking and talking a lot more.
“Like she’s nonstop.” He laughed bewildered as he wiped the smushed strawberry up.
“T… I know.” You giggled back at him picking Teddy up from her high chair. You wiped her mouth and rocked her back and forth. You stood in the kitchen holding your daughter wearing Trent’s sweat pants and a tiny tank top. Trent stared at you in awe. He couldn’t believe you were alone with her everyday when she was this active. He stood up and wrapped his arms around you. He kissed your lips soft and slow. You hummed loving the taste of the strawberries he had stolen from Teddy. “Promise me you’ll never stop kissing me.” You looked at him with puppy dog eyes.
“Couldn’t even if I wanted to.” He whispered to you, ghosting his lips over yours before he gave you another equally sweet kiss.
“I want our kids to almost be annoyed with our affection when they're older.” You laughed, stepping out of his hold to grab the container of fruit to put it back into your refrigerator.
“Kids?” He questioned you with a smile excited by curiosity if you meant kids as in having more or if it was just a slip of the tongue.
“Yeah… I think I guess kids. If you’d want that.” You cooed trying not to deep it too much. Trent came over and grabbed you once more, giving you a kiss as his answer. Teddy though was much more aware of this one and pressed her hand against his cheek.
“See we’re already halfway there.” He laughed referring to Teddy trying to push him away from you. Teddy had gotten clingy. You were her mummy and she wanted to make sure that was known to daddy as well. She had developed an understanding of her daily routine and would anticipate her everyday activities so a little while after her snack Teddy needed to nap and she waddled her way over to your staircase waiting for you saying ‘mama’ on repeat until you brought her.
“Should we be being more careful?” Trent asked you sort of vaguely as you sat on the couch.
“Are you serious?” You laughed unsure if he was being or not.
“Well this is a lot. Could we do a second? I don’t want to leave for training and you be home with two kids this young like what should or plan be?” He clarified and then questioned what you two should do.
“Is it bad if I say I need a little more time?” You sheepishly got your words out. “I just feel like my body is finally getting back to a place I’m okay with. I can’t imagine losing all my progress. Is that selfish? What do you want?” You looked at him feeling terribly guilty.
“Nah, I think we wait a minute. Give you a rest. Get accustomed and really appreciate family of 3 life and then maybe you know after the wedding we can reasses.”
“Yeah, that’s fine by me but we want more right?” You face pulled into a cheeky smile waiting to hear his answer you were pretty sure you already knew.
“Yeah, beautiful. I definitely want more babies with you. Wouldn’t mind the process either.” He whispered coming in to nibble on your neck. You rolled your eyes and teasingly shoved at his chest but quickly nestled back into his embrace on the couch.
A few hours later, Trent was in the back garden doing some activation things he had to do for the muscle pull. You had a turf field off the back of the house you had installed. It was convenient for Trent although he probably didn’t use it as much as you thought he would but he had been lately with the injury. It was a cold but sunny day so you figured after Teddy woke up you’d bundle her up in her coat and you could go get some fresh air.
“What’s daddy doing outside, hmm? Should we go see dada?” You asked her. You crouched down to her and helped her put her little puffer coat on and tiny trainers. You could scream every time you picked up her baby shoes. They were so cute. She giggled at the sound of her coat’s zipper being done up.
“Dada” Teddy repeated you and she palmed your cheek as your tied the laces of her trainers.
“Yeah?! That’s right, Teddy. Going to go see dada” Your eyes widened excitedly. “Can you say that again, say dada again?” you asked her whilst scooping her up. She repeated it giddy with the attention she got from saying it. You walked to the back of your house and slid the glass door open to outside.
“Ooo sunny but chilly, baby, huh? Brrrr.” you cooed rubbing your nose against her cheek. You walked over to the small field and put teddy down on the grass and she attempted to run which was adorable. It was like a wobbly walk but you understood she was trying to get to Trent as fast as she could. You followed in her wake.
“Hi, beautiful.” His cold hand cupped your face.
“Hi, we just came to see dada.” You stood holding Teddy’s hands above her head keeping her standing up right in between your legs.
“Dada!” She wiggled out of your hold tumbling forward onto her hands and knees. Like she was moving a lot as months progressed but it was clumsy as she still got the hang of things. Trent’s eyes widened. He immediately sat on the ground and pulled her to him.
“Oh my days… C’mere baby bear. Did you say dada?” He asked her enthusiastically. She giggled as he picked her up off the ground and buried his face in the tiny crook of her neck. His hair tickling her skin. She screamed dada a million times to get him to stop, excited he was so happy with her. Trent picked his head up with the most gorgeous smile you’d ever seen him give you. He looked at you bright eyed. “You know how we were talking about waiting…” He spoke with a cheeky tone.
“Oh shut up! Her saying two additional syllables doesn’t not rule out all the other things we talked about.” You laughed dismissing him. Now that Teddy had said dada he was all about having more.
“Yeah but listen to herrrr” He groaned standing back up with Teddy in his arms. You pulled your phone out of your pocket and took a few candid photos of them. They’d be good memories one day. “C’mon want to help dada?” He leaned over and placed Teddy on her two feet. She clung to his leg. He grabbed a ball and placed it in front of them. He pulled her off his leg and held her under her arms and helped her kick it. When you say she screamed… she screamed. She was so excited. You couldn't not laugh. Trent turned around to look at you in a fit of laughter.
“Good girl, Ted.” You encouraged her as you took your seat down onto the turf. You assumed after that reaction you’d be here for a while. You watched on with a smile. Teddy would turn around every so often to make sure you were still watching them after she heard your first compliment. If you happened to be on your phone the second she did, she would let you know. ‘Mama!’ yelled immediately grabbing your attention. They must’ve done that on repeat for an hour. Neither one was tired of it. Trent was stood on his knees next to her but leaned over and whispered in her ear. You watched him stand up and turn towards you.
“Should we go get mummy?” He asked Teddy and started to jog towards you Teddy eagerly trying to keep up with him. You smiled and got up from the turf. You ran towards Teddy and scooped her up off the grass. She squealed.
“Got you first, Teddy girl. Should we get daddy now? Daddy’s not that fast. Let’s chase daddy” You cooed, kissing her cheek about a 100 times in a row. He rolled his eyes unimpressed with your subtle jab. You jogged with her in your arms playfully and Trent took off away from you. Teddy was giggling so much you couldn’t help but laugh with her. The sound of her precious laugh was infectious. This probably wasn’t great for Trent to be doing but it was nice to have fun all together. He’d pivot in a different direction or make a face at her and she’d excitedly shriek.
“Dada!!!”” She screamed with her chubby little arms outstretched. You put her down and let her run after him on her own. You were out there much much later than you thought you’d be but the time was the last thing on your mind if she and him were this happy. Trent let Teddy catch him eventually. He was slowly learning how to ‘lose’ for her.
“I’m gonna grab mummy, watch Ted.” He whispered. You looked at him confused why he turned his attention towards you. He gave you a cheeky smirk. He ran at you full speed. He was fast whether or not you wanted to admit it so you didn’t get very far. He wrapped his arms around your waist and swung you around like you weighed nothing. “Mwah!” he kissed your cheek so grossly but you loved it. “Mwah!” He scooped up your legs so he was fully carrying you with another wet kiss.
“T!’ You squealed in a fit of giggles not expecting him to throw you around like this. Teddy’s eyes were bright and wide, loving seeing her mum and dad so happy. He jogged with you in his arms back towards Teddy. He crouched down to her level. You thought he'd let you go but he held you tight you couldn’t break out if you tried.
“Come give mummy a kiss, baby bear.” Trent cooed for Teddy to come. She quickly was at your side pressing her lips out in the cutest way slobbering all over your face. “Wow…” Trent couldn’t hold in his laughter watching her practically just spit on you. “You must love mummy a lot, huh?”
“Love mama!” She screamed, attempting to kiss you again. You stopped her next attempt with a giggle and held her face in your hands. You pressed a kiss of your own onto her lips.

Blanket Fort
Shinso x Gn!Reader
Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well! This was a request for some Shinso Fluff. I hope you like it! 🤍
Tumblr media
Aizawa was gone, week week-long mission he begrudgingly accepted. More so against his will than anything, as it was the week of Eri's birthday. To say he was angry, would be an understatement. You were half sure hero society was about to revolt at the fact the commission took Aizawa away from Eri during her birthday week. Even Hawks seemed pissed, stopping by on Tuesday to drop off a present for Eri. You spoke to him shyly, the young civilian talking to a top Pro-Hero. “Thank Dove,” a nickname he called all fans, “ Still can’t behave they pulled the old man away from his daughter.” His voice teetered on venomous before he snapped back. “But hey, Eris got you and little Azawia, so I’ll know you make it great!” Damn straight you would.
The house was void minus the cats, Eri, Shinso, and yourself. The no-so-adopted third child who for a small moment, everyone thought was another addition to the family. In actuality, you were Shinso’s (Girl Friend, boyfriend, significant other) Though to Eri, you were big (Brother, Siter, Sibiling)
3am. Shinso phone rang, your pretty photo popping up. Shinso, as you knew, was awake, wide awake. But why where you?
“Baby why are you-”
“I HAVE AN IDEA!”
It was your idea to do the blanketfort. You had planned it before Aizawa had even left for the mission. Even ended up even planning the day with Aizawa. Which Shinso found both adorable and hilarious. Coming home from practice to see you at the counter, Aizawa leaning over the other side. Both of your faces in pure concentration as you talked about what to do for the fort alone- not the whole week itself.
Stuffies, blankets, fairy lights, pillows and what ever else where shoved into you bags. The zippers struggling to keep the stuffed animals from bursting. When Shinso opened the door for you, you where breathing heavily, arms full of bags stuffed with material.
Eri jumped up and down the moment you brought up at idea. Shinso smirked at your bad acting, saying the idea just came to you. You both where half sure Eri almost squeezed you to death when you started to talk about what else you all could do.
The Fort itself was the biggest challenge to set up. A drying rack, TV, and couch where the best bases to create a large enough Fort for the three of you. Stuffed animals surrounded the edges of the fort, and layers of blankets and bed mats covered the carpet in the living room, adding a much-needed cushion. Fairy lights hung inside like glistening vines and soft music played in the background.
Shinso and you self made sure to take photos, as many as your phones could hold. The large files sent to Aizawa, would barely responded, but you both knew he was happy.
Around 2 hours later, the blanket Fort, dinner, and Pjs done and you all rested in the rather large Fort. Shinso rested by your side, scrolling through his phone on bordem. Eri was thankfully fast asleep, her little area of the fort darker with only the twinkle of fairy lights to show her sleeping face. Shinso’s eyes caught the slight smiles on his little sister's face. Her arms wrapped tightly around one of the many stuffed animals you brought or bought for this occasion. His heart swelled, he was lucky for you. Lucky you loved everyone in the family so much, lucky that you loved Eri arguably more than him.
Shinso knew he and Aizawa wouldn't have been able to do this. They were stupidly busy, tired, and bogged with hero duties. In Aizawa’s casework, and his own being homework, patrols, and training.
“Shinso” you had whispered, causing him to snap out of his trance. “Your phone” you slightly giggled. Shinso looked down. In his distracted state, his thumb had been placed on the ‘f’ key. Typing out a long line of ‘fff’ as a comment on a video. Quickly canceling it, he let out a sigh.
“Got distracted” you laughed slightly, pushing yourself farther into him, yawning slightly. It was 1 am, and to his surprise, he was tired. “Tired kit?”
“Yeah… think I may call it” you yawn. Scooting down to lie down. He followed you, and quickly, almost garingly, pulled you close to him. Barely giving you time to move your arms around your boyfriend, lest they be trapped.
”I love you.” Your face softened, relaxing at the realization everything was okay. His arm brought you closer to him. “I love you so much.” He kissed the space available to him, an area of your clothed shoulder.
“I love you too Shin” he huffed, his chest tightening a little. He pulled away slightly, staring at you for a slight moment. As if ensuring you were telling the truth. You were, it didn’t take him long to conclude that. He leaned in to kiss your lips softly. Pulling away for only a moment before continuing. His hand slid to your hair, playing with the strands softly. Words weren’t needed, you both already knew everything he wanted to say. You scootched yourself under him, face nestled into the area of his neck and shoulder. Your legs weaving together to get unbelievably closer. “I love you so much, Shin.” Your face felt warm, and happiness almost caused wetness to prick your eyes. Shinso kissed the top of your head, pressing his lips to your temple.
“I love you too kitten, so much.” He squeezed you again, letting you both fall into a peaceful, gentle silence as you dozed off.

Polaroid - pedro pascal x female reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: an image meant for Pedro’s eyes only, ends up being seen by curious eyes who make inappropriate comments.
Word Count: 2.2k
Content Warning: lewd language, Pedro being horny as fuck, taking nudes, Pedro swearing/getting jealous. Slight smut but not really, unprotected p in v but no actual sex.
Note: THANK YOU FOR THIS REQUEST. I’m a plus size person myself so I’ll divulge into this so hard. 🫶🏼
Through the years you’d always put a lot of thought into Pedro’s gifts, whether it be a sentimental gift, such as the hand painted family portrait of him and his sisters you’d gifted last year for his 47th birthday. Or something he needed but would never tell you he needed. He didn’t need to tell you, because you always listened and figured out simply by listening; such as a new laptop during covid lockdown so he could do interviews via Skype and Zoom call.
This year, you were stumped. You figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask Oscar to help you with what to gift Pedro. You FaceTimed him, his warm smile is the first thing you’re met with, his messy mop of dark curls fell onto his forehead, some grey hairs visible through the bad lighting. “Hey Osc, I’ve got a favour to ask.” His eyebrows shot up In curiosity. “Go on.” He encourages.
“I don’t know what to gift Pedro for his birthday, he’s made it entirely impossible this year. No hints, no nothing.” Oscar raises an eyebrow, “you, the best gift giver doesn’t know what to give her boyfriend for his birthday?” You bit your lip, embarrassed as you walk around throwing some pieces of rubbish in the bin, trying to keep your mind busy as you stress about this present, with only 7 days until his 48th birthday, you felt your blood pressure rising as the days came closer and you still hadn’t gotten him anything.
“I know, I know. Can you help me or not?” A mischievous smirk crawls onto his lips, something that had your suspicion spiking. “What are you smirking at Oscar? Tell me what you’re thinking.” He shrugs casually, “get some lingerie for him, do a sexy photoshoot or something.” You bite your lip in uncertainty, “are you sure it’ll be good enough?” The older man huffs, “you’re joking right? Have you seen the way he looks at you?”
You hum, deep in thought as you realise Oscar’s right, Pedro does love your body, your curves and perfectly natural breasts, the cellulite on your rounded ass cheeks. The way he can grab handfuls of your thighs and how they feel wrapped around the back of his head as he dives face first into your cunt, he even loves the way your soft tummy slightly hangs over your pubic bone.
“Hey, you still with me?” Oscars voice snaps you out of your trance, figuring it wouldn’t hurt to try something new, if Pedro didn’t like it, which was unlikely, you’d know for next year, and bonus, you’d have a new set of lingerie. “Uh yeah, thanks Oscar I gotta go, bye!” You quickly hang up before he has the chance to say his farewells. Lingerie, it’s gotta be sexy, accentuate your curves and be the best gift he’s ever received. You pull your hair up into a messy bun before making a beeline straight for your car, keys in hand, jingling as you speed walk, eager to get to the shops.
The lingerie shops ambiance is unmatched, the pink neon sign drew you in, once you were in you didn’t want to leave, the golden hue of the light was soft on your eyes, the faint scent of rose water had been spritzed into the air with the fan circulating air around the small store, the quiet hum of a SZA song played from the small portable radio that sat on the wall shelf behind the counter.
There were so many options, too many colours and plus sized inclusive sizes. The shop attendant approaches you with a smile, “can I help you at all?” You smile nervously, “yes please! I’m wanting a new set, for my boyfriends birthday. Has to be super sexy. It also has to be purple, that’s his favourite colour.” You explain meekly, your cheeks reddening at the fact you’re telling all of this to a stranger, she leads you to a section of purple garments, all stunning in their own right. “He’s one lucky man. Do you need help with the sizing?” You tell her your size, she flicks through and finds all purple items in your size, stacking them on the front desk. “You can flick through them or feel free to try them on.”
You pick up the first set and hum uncertainly, feeling like it was not what you wanted, the material certainly wouldn’t cover much at all, you wanted something with more coverage. The second set was nicer, but still not something that wowed you, the small silver studs were definitely too much in your opinion. The third set you picked up you gasped, the colour was beautiful, rich and thick in the back of the bra, it had 5 clasps which would offer more support, it had harnesses that would look sexy with some stockings clipped to the harness. It had a stunning chest piece that would expose your cleavage and make it look sexy, the lacey material would would look beautiful on your skin.
“Can I try this on?” The lady smiles, “please! Go for it. Our dressing rooms are just to the left here.”
You underestimated how good you would look in this piece of lingerie, it made your hips look bigger, your curves softened and your breasts looked incredible, not to mention how nice your assed looked. The purple on your skin tone was like it was made for you, you felt sexy and knew this was the one.
“I’ll take this one, thank you.” As you return to the counter and set the lingerie down as she scans it, you pay the $120 on card and smile as she puts it into a paper bag with the store name on it. “I know he’s going to love it. Good luck!” The lady farewells and you thank her for her help before sitting in the car, all these scenarios running through your head about how Pedro will react.
“Happy birthday baby!” You cheer as Pedro steps into your apartment, the house smelt delicious, you’d cooked his favourite meal, the food simmering and getting to be plated. The room was littered with purple and silver balloons, red rose petals led down the hall to the bedroom, the scent of just blown out bubblegum candles lingers as the wick starts to smoke. “Thank you baby. Look at this, it’s incredible.” You pull him into a hug, squeezing your arms around him as his scent swirls up your nose and makes you inhale. “This isn’t the gift baby, it’s in the bedroom. I’ll get it for you.” You offer, rushing to the bedroom and know you need to move quickly, you’d practised a few times over the past couple days knowing you had a time frame of a few minutes before Pedro got impatient.
You pull your nice dress off and throw it into the hamper, setting up the balloons nicely and the love heart shaped rose petals on the bed, setting the candles alight, you slip your heels on and open the cupboard draw to set up the Polaroid camera so it was facing you. “Baby, you okay?” Your heart races, you need to finish up, now. You take your hair out and let it fall down, sitting up as you lean your weight on one hand behind you, setting one knee up on the bed, you let the other fall flat. “Actually baby I could use some help if you don’t mind.”
Your heart is in your mouth as you hear his footsteps near the bedroom, the squeak of the bedroom door is deafening as he opens it. His mouth drops when he sees you, the purple lingerie that covers your body is looking incredible on your body and you know it. Pedro’s dark orbs are scanning your body, groaning as he sees the Polaroid camera, shuffling in the spot as his cock grows hard and awfully uncomfortable in the confines of his jeans. “Fuck baby you’re gunna kill me.” You hum and look at him through your lashes, something you know drives him crazy. “Looking so fucking perfect for me, this is all for me hm baby?” You nod, “all for you Pedro.”
He picks up the white Polaroid camera and steps back, snapping the image of you posing, capturing the decorum of the room, “I love you so much.” He moans, his fingers gripping the image as it prints out, he was quick to snap an up close photo of you smiling, eyes closed teeth baring, he knew this would be his favourite.
“Let me see those perfect tits baby.” You lie down on the bed, your back being itched by the rose petals. He snaps a few pictures. “On your knees, honey.” You obey him and stretch your arms out toward the pillows, arching your back and raising your ass in the air, a grunt leaves Pedro’s lips as he smacks your ass, your gasp turns into a moan as he smacks your other asscheek, pushing yourself further back towards him. The camera snaps a few pictures, the redness of his handprint visible on your asscheeks. “So fucking perfect.” His thick fingers play with the small amount of fabric, getting a good look at your weeping cunt that’s soaked for him. “Fuck baby you’re dripping, roll back over.” You roll into your back, your hair sprawled onto the bed underneath you. Pedro, with one hand unbuckles his belt with a groan, undoing his jeans to relieve the tightness that caged his hardness.
He pulls your lingerie covering your cunt to the side, getting a perfect look at you. He palms himself roughly before pulling his underwear off entirely. Pulling his shirt underneath his chin. He slides his thick cock into you, your body squirming at the feeling, “fuck-so fucking big Pedro.” He groans, only pushing himself half way into you, before wrapping one large hand around your neck and takes a photo with the other hand, of his cock inside your cunt, hand wrapped around your neck and your perfect body clad in this purple lingerie.
“What about dinner?” You whimper, hearing the whir of the camera printing the obscene image. Pedro tosses the image along with the others onto the bed beside you, along with the camera. “Dinner can wait baby, I gotta have you. So fucking perfect. This is the best birthday gift ever.”
You would have to thank Oscar for the advise.
Two days later on the weekend was when everyone was out at a bar celebrating Pedro’s birthday, they had all insisted on spending time with him, Oscar had rallied some old and new friends of his, the bar jam packed and booked to yourselves thanks to Oscar.
The music was loud and you were having a great time, catching up with some old friends. “Hey honey, can I get you another drink?” You finish your beverage, the alcohol making you a little lightheaded, your bladder begging for release. “Sure baby. Just gotta duck to the toilet. I’ll be back.” You kiss him on the lips, missing his warmth and taste as soon as you pull away, shimmying through the crowd of drunk friends.
“Hey man, I’ll just get another beer and a cocktail.” Pedro leans against the bar, knee bent as he pulls his card from his wallet, paying for the drinks. “Hey man. Whoa, I gotta see this.” Oscar snatches Pedro’s wallet, Charlie Hunnam steps behind him, “dude no way.” Pedro leaves the drinks on the bar, “Oscar, give it back man.” Charlie huffs, “you get to have that all to yourself, so unfair, she’s so sexy.” They pull the Polaroid of you out half way trying to get a better look, Pedro’s hand is wrapped around your throat and thankfully they don’t pull it out entirely, the thought of his friends seeing him inside of you was too much. He didn’t need them seeing you like that, exposed and taking him perfectly, he didn’t want them thinking of you like that, or getting any ideas.
Pedro snatches the wallet back, pushing the Polaroid back into his wallet and shoving it into his Jean pocket. “Don’t ever touch that again, you hear me?” Pedro growls, his jealous getting the best of him as he turns around to pick up the drinks, they throw their hands up in surrender, “we’re cool man, alright.” You walk up to the bar and press a tipsy kiss to Pedro’s lips, he hands you the drink and you sip, groaning at how perfect it was made. Pedro’s free hand grips your ass and gives it a tight squeeze.
“Oh, hey guys!” You didn’t notice the two men standing there at first, they were watching Pedro claim you, his possessiveness shining through even though he knew you’d never do anything to make him worry. You were just incredibly sexy and that image wasn’t for their eyes, you were his and only his.
You turn back to Pedro and a drunk smile sits crookedly on your lips. “Happy birthday baby.” You whisper. Pedro pulls you into him and he kisses you, he moans into the kiss as if it were just you two, as if the bar wasn’t full of his family and friends. You hook your finger into the belt loop of his jeans. Throwing the glass back before licking your lips seductively, “what do you say we go home handsome?”
Pedro only nods, giving his friends a lazy smirk and a wink as his hand rests on your ass on the way out of the bar.

@officialfeysandweek Day 2: Mirrors
Read on Ao3 // Dark Feysand Masterlist // Feysand Week Masterlist
Summary: Curious as to how Feyre vanishes from her locked room night after night, her father promises the choice of a bride to whoever can piece it together. The problem, with each night of dancing she falls deeper into the thrall of the Court of Nightmares—and the High King has never been one to share.
TW: Dark!Rhys, mind control, non-con, murder, and further manipulation in later chapters. The dove is dead, my friends. Read at your own discretion.
“There was once upon a time a King who had twelve daughters, each one more beautiful than the other. They all slept together in one chamber, in which their beds stood side by side, and every night when they were in them the King locked the door and bolted it. But in the morning when he unlocked the door, he saw that their shoes were worn out with dancing and no one could find out how that had come to pass.”
~The Shoes That Were Danced To Pieces, The Brothers Grimm
Chapter I
Feyre
“What is that?”
Feyre looked back at Elain. “My new mirror. Do you like it?”
“It’s… a statement piece.”
“It’s hideous,” Nesta scoffed from the doorway. “Not to mention ancient. It doesn’t even suit your room.”
“Yes, well, that’s because mother decorated my room, isn’t it?” Feyre snipped back, still slightly bitter even after enduring the bright color scheme for years now. She finished straightening the oddly shaped mirror over her dresser with a slight smirk, one finger following the curve of the border.. “I think it adds character.”
“I think it looks like something out of the Court of Nightmares.” Feyre and Elain turned to their sister in confusion. “You’ve never heard the tale?” She rolled her eyes. “It’s a ridiculous story meant to make children behave. In the Court of Nightmares there lives an evil High Lord who demands his sycophants snatch up children who are a terror to their families. The same is said for women who don’t save themselves for their husbands.”
Feyre scrunched her nose, exhausted with the obsession the men in their family’s circle seemed to share regarding marriage. Their father did enough to ensure that, locking them in their rooms the moment the sun set each night. The things she’d give to see a starry sky for once in her life. She didn’t see what use their astronomy lessons were when they’d never seen a clear night sky.  Perhaps that would change with their social debut. She wasn’t thrilled with the concept, but their mother had finally convinced their father that the three of them would soon be deemed too old to be marriageable, particularly Nesta, who would turn twenty-five that spring.
She let herself wonder for just a moment if her husband would let her have more freedom when she was caring for their home or if he would be as fond of the tight leash her father kept. Hope only stretched so far when it came to the “gentlemen” of high society.
Before she could let her imagination unfold on the subject the door swung open without warning, their mother standing in the doorway with her seemingly permanent scowl in place. “Girls, why is it that I still see three dresses where the seamstress left them this morning rather than on your bodies. Feyre,” she snapped. “My gods, you haven’t even bathed! I should have known allowing you to go to the market this afternoon was a mistake. One I won’t be repeating. I—What is that ghastly thing?”
“A mirror, Mother.” Though she itched to make some quip about the woman’s narcissism, she managed to hold her tongue. “You said I could select something of my choosing for my birthday, did you not?”
Eyes narrowing, she huffed. “We will discuss its removal later. Go,” she ordered. “I want you bathed and dressed in half an hour. Your maid will bring your gown.”
Muttering something incoherent, she ushered Elain and Nesta from the room. Alis was there a moment later with a wry glint in her eye and a garment bag in hand. “At least the dress will suit your coloring this time.”
“Yes,” Feyre murmured, drawing the gauzy gown from its protective bag. “At least there’s that.”
It was lovely. Though she loathed to admit her mother had decent taste in anything, formal wear was her strong suit. It seemed Feyre’s debut was important enough to consider colors that wouldn’t leave her looking washed out. The faster she found a husband, she supposed, the faster she would be his burden rather than her parents’. An odd wife instead of an odd child.
“A home of her own to care for and a taste of motherhood will give her a dose of reality,” she’d once overheard. “She’ll learn her purpose one way or another.”
She was content enough to follow her mother’s command, bathing quickly and donning the dusk blue dress just in time for Alis to see to her hair and cosmetics before her mother returned, a sharp nod the only thing resembling praise that she’d earned. “Good enough. Shoes, then join your sisters in the hall.”
“Yes, Mother.”
She glanced over her shoulder to the back of the room, trying to catch a glimpse of herself before going downstairs for the evening, gasping softly at what peered back at her. “What is it?”
“I—nothing,” she claimed, gathering her cashmere shawl. “I’m ready.” But even as she shook off the unease that had settled over her, she couldn’t erase what the mirror had shown her. An obsidian throne crowned by twin serpents she knew would be deadly if given life, and seated on it an otherworldly male wreathed in shadows of his own design. In that fleeting moment she couldn’t make out much of his face. Only a pair of violet eyes that seemed capable of peering into her very soul. The feeling followed her until she greeted the winter sun.
Ushered into their family carriage, Feyre barely concealed her huff when their mother began rattling off orders for the evening party. Hearing it all before, it took an impressive effort to actually pay attention.
How the woman could manage to talk through a forty minute carriage ride was beyond her, but she and her sisters didn’t have a moment to get a word in even if they’d wished to. “And most importantly, you are never to reject an invitation to dance. Gods know each of you need every opportunity you can get.”
The door swung open, the straight-backed footman offering a hand to help each of them down, as their father was not in attendance this evening.
“Smiles, girls.”
~~~~~
Feyre had never been so thrilled to hear her door lock behind Alis as she was that evening. After playing the games of the court for hours, all she wanted was a bit of quiet, even from her dear confidant. To think, the next ball they’d been invited to was only days away, hosted by the very man who seemed so keen on getting to know her. Tamlin certainly didn’t seem like the worst suitor, but there still seemed to be something missing.
Unless she was being a foolish romantic, hoping for a love match.
“Gods,” she groaned, moving to her vanity to remove her makeup. “That’s exactly the problem.”
“Long day?”
She shrieked at the silken male voice that filled the room, frantically searching the space for someone who may have hidden in the curtains or under the bed before she was shut in for the night. Cauldron, she was in nothing more than a nightgown and a man was in her room. “Relax, darling. I won’t hurt you.”
“Wh-who are you?” Perhaps if she locked herself in the bathroom she’d be safe, if confined.
“Now, Feyre, we’ve met already, haven’t we?” She froze, trying to place the voice without a face to show for it. She had never really believed in magic, but now… “I’ve seen your dreams, learned your wishes. I could grant them too.”
Slowly the pieces began to fit together. The voice with no body, the throne in the mirror, the vendor’s hesitation to sell to her that morning—his superstitions she’d brushed away. “It’s cursed, girl. Every time I try to throw it out it ends up right back in my stall, I swear! Tomorrow morning you’ll think I’ve stolen it from you.”
“I was waiting for the right buyer to claim it,” the voice claimed. “I’ve been looking for you for a very long time, darling.” She could hardly breathe—felt dizzy in her rising panic. “Look at me, Feyre. Look in the mirror.”
Slowly turning, her eyes locked with his. There were no shadows this time, leaving his face and body unobscured. She realized he was likely the most beautiful man she’d ever seen—not that she had much experience with grown men beyond those present at this evening’s ball. But a more important note to make was not how he compared to human men, but to those of his own kind. Because while the contours of his face and broad build might be something one could look beyond, the pointed ears beneath his raven black hair, could not.
She stumbled back, part of her fearing whatever magic he possessed would allow him to breach the glass between them and snatch her from where she stood, virgin or not. “You are a faerie.”
“Now, so quick to cast judgment, darling. I’ve done nothing to harm you, have I? I promised I wouldn’t and if you know anything about my kind then I’m sure you know a faerie’s word is binding. I cannot lie to you, pet.”
“Is this how all fae choose to communicate with mortals, or do the rest find us too plain for their entertainment?”
He chuckled. “All that matters, darling, is that you are worth my attention.”
She swallowed. “And if I do not wish to have your attention?”
His charming grin broadened. “I have been honest with you, Feyre. It’s only fair that you return the favor. If you did not crave my attention you would have been screaming at that locked door the moment I identified myself.”
Feyre pursed her lips. Though his words rang true, she didn’t appreciate being called out. She did crave company, she realized. Even after the exhaustion of the evening, the years of lonely nights outweighed the social strain of a single evening.
“You have announced your presence, but given no name or title.”
“Darling.” His amusement softened to something she couldn’t quite label. Not that she had much need to. His title wasn’t important at the moment, just that she listened to him. Each word he spoke was true after all. “Much better. You’re a lovely thing once those hackles fall, aren’t you.”
“I—”
“Come closer, little mate. Let me see you.”
Another step brought her to the dresser and couldn’t help but reach up to the glass, her palm flush against the faerie’s. It was the strangest sensation when the mirror’s face rippled beneath her fingers, but the soothing hold over her mind did not waver. That is until her hand met the familiar warmth of human flesh, a calloused palm cradling her soft fingers.
“And now you’re mine.”
That strange hold snapped, reminding her of her caution—the fears born of instinct and stories told, each and every one a warning to heed. “What did you do to me?”
The faerie only smiled, squeezing her hand tighter and pulling her into his dark world.
~~~~~
Perhaps it was the strange means of travel, perhaps it was her fear. Either way, Feyre was dismayed to find herself waking curled up on a set of silken black sheets, clearly having lost consciousness long enough to be carried into someone else's home. Not carried—abducted.
She shivered, pulling back the edge of the flat sheet just enough to ensure her clothing was still in place, immodest as it was on its own. Scanning the room to make sure she was truly alone, she scurried across the room to snatch the robe thrown over the cracked armoire. She’d just finished tying the oversized garment when she sensed another presence in the room.
“Show yourself,” she demanded, attempting to be subtle as she scanned the room for anything resembling a weapon. “Enough games!”
“As you wish, darling.”
The space behind her warmed slightly, the solid male form behind her unmistakable. “Who are you?” It was a small miracle, Feyre supposed, that her voice was steadier than her hands as she pulled the neck of the robe together until it pressed flush to her throat. “Why did you bring me here? I have not—I wouldn’t—”
Despite their truth, Feyre couldn’t summon the words that may change the course of her fate. She knew what made a noblewoman valuable on the marriage market. If she could just convince this faerie she hadn’t ruined herself…
“It’s not your virtue I’m concerned with, Feyre darling.” A mark against her childhood stories, if he could be believed. But why else would he abduct a human from her home. “Beastly as most of our customs and traditions may be,” the man continued, “the society I’ve found a home in might be considered progressive in comparison to your human beliefs.”
Feyre turned to face him. “Society.” She retreated another step, praying he hadn’t seen her eyes dart to the fireplace a moment ago—and the iron poker beside it. Which of them would be faster, she wondered, if she could keep her intentions secret long enough to wield the makeshift weapon? What color would he bleed? “You are a lord, then.”
His lips curled into a half smile, as if her assumption of his status was amusing. “Something like it. The caste system you know is a bit different from our own, I’m afraid. But we’ll get back to that.” He took a step towards her, giving her an excuse to draw closer to her goal. The cowed girl he seemed keen on controlling would become a woman with a weapon. “First—”
Feyre didn’t let herself hesitate. The moment her hand closed on the poker she turned the sharp end on her kidnapper with the intent to wound, if not kill.
Only for her body to fail her. Her mental freedom was claimed just as swiftly, cold talons forcing their way past the brittle wall she had seemed to create through her own instinct rather than practice.
“Oh, my pet.” His thumb pressed into her wrist and her hand spasmed, the iron rod clattering against the wood at their feet. “What are we going to do with you?”
She would have been trembling, if she had control of herself. Perhaps it was a small mercy then, that he had this hold over her. “It doesn’t have to stay this way.”
“What do you mean?” she managed to grit out.
A slow smirk bloomed across his disgustingly perfect face just before he reached for her. His large hands were feather light as they followed the curves of her body, finally settling on her hips. The heat of them could have burned straight through the thin fabric of the robe maintaining her modesty. And the way he looked down at her… she wasn’t quite certain how to describe that look. The claws holding her mind began to retract and at last she could think—could breathe again.
“So dramatic, my pet.” Her eyes snapped back to his, her demand lingering on the tip of her tongue before she thought better of shouting at him. He had used his magic against her twice now. He could certainly do it again if she caused trouble. “Smart girl.”
“You can read minds.”
“Read them, control them. It does wonders in keeping the unruly… we’ll say compliant.” She shivered again. “You’ll do well to remember, my darling Feyre, that I am always with you.” Because even now, her body once again her own, a shadow had taken root in her mind. She had a feeling it would make itself at home for a good long while. Until she discovered a way to block him out. The faerie chuckled. “Perhaps in a century or two you’ll find yourself strong enough. If all goes to plan.”
She tensed. “To plan?”
“Later, little one. For now—” One hand slid to her front, fingering the knot keeping her stolen robe closed. “—I’d like to strike a bargain.”
~~~~~
Rhysand
“A bargain?” the girl sputtered. “You really think you’ll get away with this? My family—”
“Your family doesn’t believe in magic, darling. Who's to say their wild little rebel didn’t learn how to pick her bedroom lock and run into the night to avoid a loveless marriage? If they aren't convinced in the beginning, persuasion is my specialty as you now know.”
His little mate didn’t need to know the truth behind his curse. It wouldn’t change the fact she belonged to him—would remain here at his side in the end. Stubborn as Feyre Archeron may be, Rhys had never picked a battle he couldn’t win.
All this victory would take was persistence and a firm hand. The rest would fall in place on its own, starting with the girl and ending with her fool of a father.
“Please,” she began to beg.
He tutted, pressing a finger to her lips. That wouldn’t do. At least not yet. “The details,” he finally purred in her ear, dropping one hand to cradle the same wrist he’d gripped to force the poker from her hand, sweeping a thumb tenderly over that trigger point until she shivered against him. She may not be aware of their bond, but she responded to it all the same. “Each night when your handmaiden departs, you will let the mirror bring you here. Two wraiths will greet you in this room and prepare you for the evening’s activities.”
“Activities?” she whispered, her warm breath grazing his cheek.
“You will dance for me, darling. Some nights before my court. Others may be for my eyes alone, here in this very room. You will be painted with the symbols of my court, dressed in my colors, drunk on my wine.” Her eyes widened when the back of her knees hit the bed, apparently not having realized he was slowly guiding her across the room. “You will belong to me from dusk till dawn, starting tonight.”
Her thoughts were overridden with panic, limbs flailing the moment her back met his sheets. “If you fail to comply, you will lose your privilege to return to the human realm. If you fail to arrive I will cross the veil between us and drag you here myself.”
“You can’t do this!” she cried, still attempting to break free of his hold, even as he successfully immobilized her.
“I’m the High King, darling.” Leaning down, he licked up her neck, delighted when she once again shivered beneath him. “I can do anything I please.” ~~~~~
Feyre
High King. Feyre wasn’t quite certain how different that was from a regular king, but she did know one thing. She had finally found the sort of trouble she couldn’t slip free of. “I—” She choked on her words, startled by the fingers that grazed her clitoris. “What are you doing?”
She tried to wriggle away, only succeeding in further stimulation.
“Providing some encouragement.”
“I’d be ruined.”
“Say yes, pet, and that can be prevented.”
Those talons once again breached her mind, this time gentle, encouraging, as he suggested. “You’re cheating.”
A snap of his fingers and her clothes were gone. “Yes,” he purred into her mind, that cruel mouth leaving a hot, wet trail of kisses from the soft spot behind her ear all the way down to her shoulder. “And I have no intention of playing fair until you agree to my demands. You’ll dance for me, darling. One way or another.
“You. Are. Mine.”
Two thick fingers sank into her and she gasped, kicking and squirming until she felt him brush her hymen. “Please,” she panted, closing a hand around his wrist, not that she had the strength to stop him.
“I’ll give you ten seconds, darling. Agree to live between my land and yours and I will wait to claim you. Try to defy me…”
She would belong to him in every sense. “Ten.” She’d be trapped in this realm every hour of every day for the rest of her pathetically short life. “Nine.” The High King’s whore. “Eight.” Serving his every whim before his court. “Seven.” To agree to the bargain would bring her back into society’s marriage machinations. “Six.” Likely standing at the altar before she turned twenty. “Five.” She may end up loathing her husband rather than loving him. “Four.” But what kind of person would she be if she left her family entirely? “Three.”
“Wait.”
“Two.” His fingers pressed a little farther into her.
“I have conditions!”
He chuckled against her breast, those clever fingers dragging just so. “Of course you do, darling. Do begin.” His hot mouth closed over her nipple and she whined. She should hate this. She should really, truly hate this.
“I’m waiting, Feyre.”
She loathed him. Why could she not loathe his touch just the same?
“You can’t—y-you—”
She was already lost to the pleasure of his touch. She had no chance now of forming a coherent sentence. His teeth pinched down hard on her nipple and she cried out. Better then, to embrace that mental connection. To submit to it. It was a lovely feeling, trusting the talons tightening by a fraction, those subtle shadows from before fading to make room for their solid counterparts.
She let the thought flit across her mind, that he would not leave his realm with the intention of harming her family.
“As you wish, little mate. So long as you come to me and keep our little secret, your loved ones will be safe.” Her left arm warmed slightly, from her fingertips all the way to her elbow. “Now you bear my mark,” he crooned, his satisfaction crystal clear.
An odd feeling niggled at the back of her mind. Saying that this was wrong. Offensive. She couldn’t quite grasp why. Any smart man lays claim to what belongs to him, doesn't he? The more obvious, the better. “That’s right, darling. It will remain glamoured to human eyes. Except for yours. We can’t have you forgetting for a moment who you belong to.”
Jude’s trial, Cardan’s pov
A/n: I’m supposed to be getting ready for my birthday party but I have massive procrastination issues. And this picks off right where the letter ended. Kinda long.
“What do you mean he is dead?”
There were tears in Taryn’s eyes as I paced in front of her.
“He washed up on the beach near our house.” She sniffed. “I don’t know how it happened.”
“When did you notice he was missing?”
I had last seen him two days ago. Entertaining a group of young faeries.
“He didn’t come home after last night and that’s nothing out of the ordinary, you know how he is.”
Yes I did.
“What are you going to do about it?” She looks at me cautiously.
“Hold a trial, I want to find who did this.” I may hate his cheating guts but I wanted to know who in my court thought it was a good idea to kill off my master of revels.
She froze. “Am I a suspect?”
“For now, until we can rule out your innocence.”
She nodded slowly. “What if it was Jude?”
It was my turn to freeze. “What makes you think it was her?”
“She doesn’t like him, and she doesn’t like you much at the moment either, this could be her way of sending a message.”
Not likely. If she wanted to send a message she would’ve crept into my rooms and slit my throat while I slept. This wasn’t her style.
“Trials begin at the beginning of the week, in two days, you are first Taryn.”
She nodded and walked off, a slight tremble in her hands.
Dammit.
Valerian and Locke. Both dead. I didn’t mourn valerian and I doubted I would mourn Locke. They were both awful. But it was now just me and Nicasia. I would probably have to tell her of the murder. She’d probably believe it to be Jude. I don’t know how Taryn could sell out that it might be her twin sister.
I didn’t think it was, but still.
I gave instructions to the guards and Randalin and went back off to my room.
My head was pounding and I wanted nothing more than to just sleep.
I was the king. I could do whatever I wanted.
And so I slept.
The next few days passed without hassle, until the day of the inquest came.
I saw Nicasia first.
She looked awful. Tired and distant. A dress the colours of the sea on her. And next to her stood my mother.
It was night time, the first of the stars visible when a mortal woman walked up to where we stood.
She wore a bronze dress and had a hood pulled over her head.
Taryn looked so much like Jude it hurt. I wonder what would happen if I just left and ran off to the mortal lands to find my wife.
The cold voice of one of my personal guards cut through the chatter. “Taryn Duarte. Wife of Locke. You must stand in the place of petitioners.”
She moved to where she was indicated to stand.
“Taryn?” I asked.
She raises her eyes to me and I am struck by a realisation.
That’s not Taryn.
That’s Jude.
The high queen of faerie.
My wife.
My heart skipped a beat.
“Your majesty.” She said.
“We recognise your grief.” I did my best to keep my voice even. “We would not disturb your mourning were it not for questions over the cause of your husband’s death.” Though I supposed I’m her husband.
Jude.
Here.
“Do you really think she’s sad.” Nicasia cut in. I almost roll my eyes. She steps closer to Taryn- no, Jude- and I tense. Nicasia had a tendency to be irrational, had he friend had just been murdered, making her even more unpredictable. “Did you kill Locke yourself? Or did you get your sister to do it for you?”
“Jude is in exile.” Her words are soft, and I yet again marvel at how easily she can lie. “And I’ve never hurt Locke.”
“No?” I interjected. I leant forward on the throne. My tail twitched. She’s lying again. If she is truly Jude, which she is, she has hurt Locke in the past.
“I lov…” Jude stopped. To anyone else it would look like she was grieving, as though the words were too hard to say.
But I knew better. She was having to force herself to say it.
“I loved him.” She lets out a little sob.
“Sometimes I believed you did yes.” I force my tone to be absentminded, as though I didn’t care. I did believe she loved Locke. And I hated her, for loving him and not me, Locke for tricking her, and myself for not being good enough. “But you could be lying. I am going to put a glamour on you. All it will do is force you to tell us the truth.” I curved my hand and magic shimmered in the air.
“Now, tell me only the truth. What is your name?”
If she wears no protection, under the glamour, she will be forced to admit her title as well. Jude Duarte Greenbriar, High Queen of Elfhame, wife of Cardan.
And that would cause a huge problem.
“Taryn Duarte.” She curtsied. “Daughter of Madoc, wife of Locke, subject of the High King of Elfhame.
Liar. She had to be Jude. I smiled. “What fine courtly manners.”
“I was well instructed.” We were instructed together.
“Did you murder Locke?” There is a silence following my words. The folk quiet in apprehension.
“No.” She said, she gave a pointed look to Nicasia. “Nor did I orchestrate his death. Perhaps we ought to look to the sea, where he was found.”
I wanted to laugh at the poeticness of this moment. Either Taryn had killed Locke and didn’t want anyone to know, or Jude killed both of them and was know planning my own demise. That didn’t scare me as much as it should have.
Nicasia turns to me. “We know Jude murdered Balekin. She confessed as much. And I have long suspected her of killing Valerian.” I wondered how she would react if I told her she had killed him. “If Taryn isn’t the culprit then Jude must be. Queen Orlagh, my mother, swore a truce with you. What possible gain could sue have from the murder of your master of revels? She knew he was your friend- and mine.” Her voice breaks at the end, her grief palpable.
I peer back down at Jude. “Well, what do you think? Did your sister do it? And don’t tell me what I already know. Yes I sent Jude into exile. That may or may not have deterred her.”
She looks like she wants to punch me. “She had no reason to hate Locke, I don’t think she wished him ill.”
“Is that so?” I knew for a fact she did.
“Perhaps it is only court gossip, but there is a popular tale about you, your sister and Locke.” I wanted to snap at my mother for bringing herself into a conversation where she is not needed. “She loved him, but he chose you. Some sisters cannot bear to see the other happy.”
I glanced at her.
“Jude never loved Locke.” Her face went a slight pink. “She loved someone else. He’s the one she’d want dead.”
I flinched at both meanings to her words. She wanted me dead, and she loved me.
I wasn’t sure which alarmed me more.
She loved me
Loved.
As in past tense
“Enough.” I said before she could keep talking. “I have heard all I care to on this subject-”
“No!” Nicasia interrupted. Everyone stirred a little. She cut me off. The high king. She seems to realise it as she goes on. “Taryn could have a charm on her, something that makes her resistant to glamours.”
I glared at Nicasia for undermining my authority. I look back to Jude and give her a cruel smile. “I suppose she’ll have to be searched.”
I could sense Nicasia’s sneer.
Jude stood up taller in a position that reminded me of Oriana. “My husband was murdered. And whether or not you believe me, I do mourn him. I will not make a spectacle of myself for the court’s amusement when his body is barely cold.”
I admired the sheer will and determination in her voice.
My smile only grew. This is was chance to get her alone. “As you wish. Then I suppose I will have to examine you alone in my chambers.”
I could barely keep myself from smiling in glee. Jude was back. And she was following me to my rooms. And there I would ask her why she stayed away so long. Why she didn’t come home to me.
She was nervous, she had no clue I knew she wasn’t Taryn. And that scared her. She knew that if I had her undressed I would know her body. Her scars and imperfections.
Never mind I could tell who she was just off of her face.
I passed a hooded servant carrying pale green wine.
There was a cry and a crash behind me and I wip around. Jude is on the floor, the servant with her. Her dress soaked in wine and the shattered glass around them.
Jude helped the servant girl sweep up debris before she says. “Oh no, my lady, your pardon, you ought not lower yourself.”
One of my guards catches her arm. “Come along,” he said as he lifted her to her feet, and we continued walking.
Two servants open the heavy doors to my chambers and I threw myself down in a low couch in the parlour, Jude stood awkwardly in the centre of the room.
My feet rested on the stone table. “Well.” I said, patting the couch beside me, an invitation for her to sit. “Didn’t you get my letters?”
“What?” She croaked.
“You never replied to a one. I began to wonder if you’d misplaced your ambition in the mortal world.”
“Your majesty.” Her said, voice stiff. “I thought you brought me here to assure yourself I had neither charm nor amulet.”
I raised an eyebrow and my smile deepened. “I will if you like. Shall I command you to remove your clothes? I don’t mind.” Not in the slightest.
“What are you doing.” She’s desperate now. “What are you playing at?”
She still thought she can convince me she’s Taryn. It was adorable. “Jude, you can’t really think I don’t know it’s you. I knew you from the moment you walked in the brugh.”
She shook her head. “That’s not possible.”
I stood, watching her intently. “Come closer.”
She took a step back.
I frowned. “My councillors told me that you met with an ambassador from the court of teeth, that you must be working with Madoc now. I was unwilling to believe it, but seeing the way you look at me, pervades I must.” She was angry, and rightfully so, looking like she wanted to run me through with a knife. “Tell me it’s not true.” It could not be true, she wouldn’t plot against me, would she? Though if I died, she would be free to rule without me, Madoc whispering in her ear.
“I’m not the betrayer here.”
“Are you angry about-” I stopped, studying her face more carefully. “No, you’re afraid. But why would you be afraid of me?” I’d never done anything for her to fear.
“I’m not.” She trembled. “I hate you. You sent me into exile. Everything you say to me, everything you promise, it’s all a trick. And I, stupid enough to believe you once.”
“Of course it was a trick-” I noted that she was now holding a blade. Sheathed, but it looked deadly.
Suddenly everything shook. An explosion that was close enough to cause us both to stumble. Books fell and crystal orbs rolled onto the floor. I looked at her, surprised, before I realised, she could have done this. My eyes narrowed.
Then there’s the sound of metal striking metal, swords.
“Stay here.” She drew the blade.
No. “Jude, don’t-” I call after her as she slipped out of the room.
Dammit.
I had Jude back, and I would not loose her again. I drew into my power, commanding it to listen, to reshape the burgh. Commanding the doorways to crack and shrink. From the screams of the guards I knew that vines, roots and leaves were clicking them, starting to creep around their necks, strangling them.
They had taken Jude.
And they would not forget it.
*if I missed anything please let me know!
a/n: hi my loves! I'm so sorry for the wait but life was hectic for the past few days with schedule changes and birthday plans. I want to let you guys know I am slightly hung over so this might now be the best. Anyway, thank you guys for joining me on this birthday adventure! Love you guys :)
Tumblr media
Cause we are living in a material world
And I am a material girl
Tumblr media
“Woah woah woah woah woah,” Eddie waves hand back and forth, eyes closed as he tries to process what he just heard, “You did what?”
Sighing heavily, Dustin stands up from the well loved couch that sits in the Munson’s trailer. “If you listened the first time you would have heard me. I said, I went to the crazy lady’s store in the hopes of bringing Chews back from the dead because I can’t watch my mom cry anymore. Before I created a monster out of a dead cat, we decided to practice on Mike’s sister’s doll,” Turning his body slightly, Dustin points to the pretty girl that sits in the recliner.
“It didn’t work but when we woke up this morning she was sitting there.” The curly haired boy stares at the older boy in front of him, semi out of breath from his fast speaking.
“Let me get this straight, you went to the one place that is off limits to everyone in Hawkins, bought a book of spells, and then brought a doll to life, only to bring said doll to my house?” His voice is loud enough to ricochet off the thin walls.
“Well you said everything I just said, but yeah pretty much.” The young boy nods causing the curls of his hair to bounce.
“Nuh uh, no, I don’t want any parts of this.” Shaking his head, Eddie begins to push the younger boy towards the door.
“Eddie please,”  Will begs from his spot on the couch, “We have no one else to turn to.”
“Yeah, come on Eddie, we need our dungeon master.” Lucas adds, knocking his shoulder into Mike who stays quiet on the arm of the sofa.
“Hey don’t bring me into this, I didn’t want to do it.” Mike throws his hands up defensively, only to change his answer when the other two boys give him a stern look.
“I-I mean, Eddie, we need your help.” It comes out more like a question than a plea but it’s the best they're going to get out of the black haired boy.
Locking eyes with the older man who still has a hand on his shoulder, Dustin does his best to give the world's cutest puppy dog eyes.
“Please, Eddie. I need you.” It’s quiet and sincere, and because it’s coming from Dustin it goes straight to Eddie’s heart, tugging tightly on the strings.
Fuck why did he have to have such a soft spot for the kid.
“I swear to Ozzy himself, if you don’t fix this in twenty four hours, your ass is grass.” A ringed finger is pointed at Dustin, his eyes going semi cross eyed from watching it wag in his face.
Turning his body quickly, Eddie points his finger to the other three boys who sit wide eyed on the couch. “And that goes for you three. Your asses will be hanging right next to Wayne’s mugs if it doesn’t get fixed. Capiche?”
When all four heads nod vigorously, Eddie straightens his posture and releases a sigh so loud it sounds like all the air from his lungs came out.
"Can I just say, you remind me of Lucky Lars! He has cool tattoos and long hair like you too!" You're looking right at him, eyes sparkling with happiness.
"Jesus H. Christ, there's really a talking doll in my house." Eddie's voice sounds like a whining child as he pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Alright it seems like everything is fine here, so we're gonna go ahead and leave." Before Eddie can stop Dustin or the rest of the younger boys, they're already out the door and gone.
"Great, just fucking great." Slapping a hand down to his thigh, Eddie spins on his heel and heads to the kitchen. He needs a fucking beer, or maybe six, either way he needs something to get him through this nightmare.
Opening the fridge, he grabs a cold can of pbr and gulps it right down without taking one breath. The liquid goes down so smooth and for a minute Eddie seems to forget the predicament he's in. Then you speak and he's instantly brought back to reality.
"Um, excuse me sir," It comes out so graceful and sweet and he hates it.
Without moving his head in your direction, he spits an angry "what" at you - teeth gritting and fist clenching. A part of him regrets being mean with you, it's not your fault this whole shitshow happened.
"I um, just wanted to ask if everything was okay." He hates that your pretty face is scrunched up with so much sadness and that he's the cause of it.
Deep breath in. Deep breath out.
"Yeah, just peachy." It's forced through his tight lip smile.
"Oh well that's great!" You annoyingly clap your hands together and he winces at the sound. "When can we go shopping?"
Tumblr media
Eddie didn't know who he wanted to kill more, you, Dustin, or himself. Why he even agreed to taking you to Starcourt was beyond him, but God was the whole experience horrible. You commented on every single thing, stopped and looked at mundane objects, and ooh'd and awee'd every time you stepped in a new store.
Every store you walked into, you left with multiple bags, which Eddie had to carry. To make matters worse he had to pay for everything, burning a hole right through his drug dealing money. You're a doll for heaven sake, why the hell would you have money?
On the way home you would not stop talking about the whole experience, comparing everything to Lucy's Lucky Land. To make matters worse, you wouldn't stop touching the radio until you landed on the most ear bleeding pop song.
The moment the two of you arrived back at the trailer, Eddie realized he couldn't escape this nightmare. He was stuck with you until those little shit heads could come up with a solution to the problem.
"Alright, just uh.. put your bags somewhere in the corner." Eddie instructs, pointing in the cleanest corner of his bedroom.
Pink heels step on the brown shag carpet of his room, eyes traveling around as you take everything in. It was completely different from what you were used to, clothes scattered everywhere, cups and dishes stacked up, and posters with names you've never heard of.
It amazes you just like everything else you've seen today. You've never seen a room like this, not even the boy's back home had rooms like this. With wide eyes and agape mouth, you spin around with open arms, just like you did when you walked into the mall.
"Oh, Eddie! This is so beautiful!" With your bags still in hand, you sit down on the mess that is his bed.
"Oh my lucky stars!" You gasp, "Your bed is so soft!" Proving your point, you bounce on your butt causing the springs to creak with every movement.
Eddie watches from the doorway, unamused by your entertainment.
"Ugh yeah, it's a bed. Don't you have those in Lucky Land of Lucy or whatever it's called." Crossing his arms over his chest, raising an eyebrow in questioning.
"It's Lucy's Lucky Land," you correct him, still smiling ear to ear, "and yes we do have beds! Our beds are made of plastic though, not bouncy like this one!" Sliding the bags from your arms, you continue to bounce but now you use your arms to make yourself go higher.
"Right, I should've known." He drawls.
Crossing into the room, Eddie starts taking off his vest and leather jacket, followed by his heavy boots. He doesn't realize that you've stopped bouncing, now honed in on his movements.
Turning around from where he stands by his dresser, he's met with the sight of you trying to take your shirt off.
"H-hey now, let's not do that." Turning his head to the side so he doesn't see anything he's not supposed to, he stretches his arms out to stop your hands from moving.
"Did I do something wrong?" You're so sincere when you say it, innocence dripping off of you like raindrops on a flower's petals.
"You can't just start taking your clothes off, Luce." His eyes are still to the floor, cheeks glowing red from the flush that's creeped it's way there.
"But I thought that's what you were doing." It sounds dejected and Eddie chances a look at you and he instantly regrets it.
There you sit on his messy, old, stain ridden bed, glossy pout on your lips and eyes glassy with tears. In that moment he sees you, the girl that's been nothing but sunshine and rainbows all day, the girl that's taken every indirect insult he threw with a smile on your face, now reduced to tears because of him.
"No, sweetheart, I was just taking off my shoes and jacket. When it's ready to change I'll let you do it in privacy." He tried his best to explain to you not wanting to upset you anymore.
"Are you mad at me?" You sniffle.
His eyes study your face, watching the tears roll down the plush skin of your cheeks. The more he looks, the worse his frown gets. "Why would I be mad at you?"
"B-because you d-don't want m-me here. I-I didn't mean to r-ruin your life Eddie." Tears now fall like a stream of water and words are being choked out through hiccups.
Eddie can feel all the blood drain from his body, cemented to the floor of his room. You're reduced to tears and snot because you think he hates you. He made you feel this way through constant eye rolls and loud huffs. You've been nothing but kind to him, trying everything in your power to get him to have one decent conversation with you. Yeah, there were some things he couldn't wrap his mind around when it came to you, especially when you tried to chase down a squirrel in pure curiosity, but you were trying.
Just this afternoon were you dropped off in a stranger's home, new to everything in the world, with not one single clue about life outside of your little playland. You didn't ask to be brought to life, you didn't ask for any of this but Eddie made it your problem the minute you opened your mouth.
He doesn't know what to do or say, he just stands there completely silent watching your shiny exterior crumble to nothing.
"I j-just wanted to be y-your friend b-but you hate me." Your small palms catch your face, your sobs now echoed in the curve of your hands.
"Lucy," Eddie walks over to you, dropping to his knees in front of you, "I don't hate you, okay?"
Separating two of your fingers, you peek at him from the comfort of your hiding spot and quickly retreat when brown eyes peer into yours.
"Lucy,” He calls but you don't move.
"Luuuccy," This time it's sung but still no movement from you.
Releasing a deep breath, he tries to think of something that will make you happy.
"I guess I'll just have to find someone else to play with my hair." Shagging his shoulders, Eddie sighs sadly and drops his head.
"I can play with your hair?" You sniffle, face still shining with the wetness of your tears.
Craning his head back to you, he smiles softly and nods his head. In an instant your jumping up from the bed, clapping your hands together in happiness.
Tumblr media
"So what kind of jobs do they have in Lucy Land?" Eddie asks, wincing slightly from your finger untangling a knot in his hair.
"Oh we have so many! I've been a fashion designer, model, singer, baker, doctor, and a ballerina!" Your fingers continue to intertwine sections of the curly brown hair, trying to be as delicate as possible.
"Then there's Lars, the one you remind me of, and he's an action star. Then there's Lance who is a race car drive. Linda is a teacher, Lorelai is a painter, Lily is a florist, and then there's Larry, he doesn't have a job."
"Why doesn't Larry have a job?" He asks, flinching slightly when you pull a little too hard for his liking.
"Cause he's Larry." You say nonchalantly.
Pulling the scrunchie from Eddie's wrist, you tie off the first braid before moving on to the next one.
"What's your job?" It's an innocent question but it still makes him choke on his drink.
"I ugh, I uh work in sales?" It's the best answer he can come up with, not wanting to explain what drug dealing means to your innocent ears.
You continue to tug on his hair, pulling and twisting strands. "What's that?"
"I sell things." Blood rushes to the tips of his ears and apples of his cheeks.
"Like what?"
Eddie would rather deal with the yanking of his hair than answer this question. He racks his brain for an answer, letting a small pause settle over the conversation.
"I sell brownies to people." Doing his best to shrug, embarrassment sinking to the pit of his stomach.
"Oh my golly!!! I love making brownies," You gasp and then pause for a moment, "but in my world our ovens and food are fake, so I wouldn't know how to do it in your world."
"Wait, so what do you eat?" Eyebrows are pinched together in confusion.
"Oh Eddie, you're so silly." You giggle, reaching for his other wrist that adorns the pink scrunchie.
Tying the end of his braid, you pat his shoulders gently, "All done."
The lanky boy stretches from his position on the floor, knees creaking from the movements. Walking over to his mirror, calloused fingers run over the french braids, shocked by how neat they are.
"Wow," he whispers, "They look really good, doll." Eyes still trailing over his hair, head moving side to side making sure to see every angle.
"They look so good because I had such a pretty model." Your lips are sprawled out into a smile.
Eddie finds himself blushing again, bats swarming around in his tummy and heart skipping multiple beats. Trying his best to shake it off, he claps his hands together and spins to face you.
"How about I make you my famous mac and cheese for payment?"
Tumblr media
"Who knew food could be so good?" A satisfied sigh falls from your lips.
"Yeah, who would've thought?" Eddie snorts, sarcasm soaking his words.
Leaning back onto the couch, your eyes flutter shut in contentment. Your hands sit folded on top of your belly, shoeless feet propped up on the coffee table in front of you.
Eddie lets you enjoy your food coma, picking up the empty bowls and walking them to the sink. He decides it would be better if he washes them now, not wanting Wayne to get home and bitch him out for having a full sink.
Once the dishes are done and dried, he walks back into the small living room and is met with the sight of you sleeping. Long eyelashes fall on the tops of your cheeks, your permanent smile still sits on your pretty glossed lips, and small snores falling from your nose.
For a moment he just looks at you, eyes following the lines of your features for the first time all day. When you first showed up, he could see that you were pretty and during the mall trip he'd find little details he hadn't noticed before, but right now he's really taking his time to admire you.
You're so beautiful, flawless really, and man did he get lucky having you crash into his life. You're a doll, something that's made of plastic, but nothing about you screams fake. You're so sweet and kind, always quick to accept whatever apology he gives you when he's been shitty.
Your spirit and energy shines brightly through you, bringing light to the darkness of his reality like the sun coming out on a cloudy day. You're all pink and sparkles, glitter and fluff, while he's black and spikes. For all the bad in the world, you remind Eddie of all the good.
He doesn't hate you, in fact he likes you and he wants to have you around for a bit longer. He wants to be friends with you, teach you about the real world and everything it has to offer. For the first time today Eddie realizes that this might not be so bad, not when he gets to relive all the cool things in life with you by his side.
Stalking over to you, he gently shakes your shoulder. "Luce, hey Lucy. Come on, s'time to wake up."
Squinting from the harsh yellow lighting of the room, your lips pout slightly from the rude intrusion of your slumber.
"Come on, Luce. We're gonna go to bed now." Holding out a hand to you, Eddie helps you stand up from the couch.
"I don't have jammies." You sound like a small child, voice quiet and hushed from how tired you are.
"What did you get at the mall then?" Leading you to the edge of the bed, he helps you sit down.
"I bought cute clothes to wear during the day." You shrug, rubbing your eye with the back of your hand.
"Of course you did." It's quiet enough so you can't hear, fingers rubbing hard over his forehead. "Alright, well I have something you can wear."
Digging through his drawers, Eddie finds an old Hellfire shirt and a pair of sweatpants from high school he doesn't wear anymore. Walking back over to you, he hands you the clothes and instructs you to change when he leaves the room and to call for him when you're done.
When your groggy voice echoes from behind the closed door, he slowly creeps in. You're still sitting in the same spot now wearing his clothes.
"Everything fit okay?" You nod, eyes growing heavier the longer you're up.
"Good, good. Well let me help you," Eddie leans over you, trying to fluff up the pillows the best that he can. Pulling the covers back, he tucks you into place.
"I'll be sleeping on the couch, so if you need anything just call my name and I'll be back." Giving you a tight lipped smile, he turns to shut the bedside lamp off.
"Eds?" Your voice cuts off his actions. "Can you sleep in here with me?" You blink up at him tiredly, still as beautiful as ever.
"How about I sleep on the floor next to you? Is that okay?" Eddie offers and you quickly accept with a sleepy smile and a lazy nod.
"Okay let me grab some extra blankets from the closet and change, then I'll be in." He reassures and you wiggle around in a tiny dance making his chuckle.
"Hey Eddie," Again you cut his movements short, "Thanks for being my best friend. I like being here with you." Your smile is shy, fingers nervously picking at the frayed edges of the blanket.
"I like being with you too. Thanks for being my best friend." The two of you beam at one another, letting the warmth of your budding friendship sink into both of you.
Leaving the room Eddie makes sure to shut the door behind him. Before he digs for any kind of blanket, he moves to the phone that sits on the wall. Punching the numbers fast, he looks back to make sure you haven't left your spot.
After a few rings, the other line finally picks up to his relief.
"I know it's late but ugh," He checks the door one more time just in case, "Forget what I said earlier. Yeah, she's gonna be staying here for a bit longer."
After hanging up the phone and grabbing whatever he needed, he heads back into the room where you're now sound asleep. Throwing a pillow to the floor, he shuts off the light and lays down.
For a moment it's quiet, the darkness of the room lulling him to sleep quickly. Before his eyes slam shut, your arm snakes out from under the blanket, your awaiting palms sitting there for him. Without hesitation, he grabs on and holds it for dear life.
Yeah, having you around won't be so bad.
What are your thoughts on haylor meeting up in late 2016? Do you think there was a slight chance of them getting back together, and do you think they would've made it if they did get back together? I know Taylor chose the safest option, but Harrry and her didn't even seem to talk things out, so why even meet in the first place? Didn't Taylor tell him she loves someone else, too? It's so confusing...
I think they did, there are enough crumbs to give it plausible and they both spent November and December in LA and London respectively. But this is in the same time the Joe stuff was starting so who knows.
This got long, sorry. The TLDNR is:
the canon is Taylor met Joe at the Met, dated Tom, broke up and in October 2016 went to Joe's premiere and started dating him. Although Joe was not in the same country as Taylor for most of that time. In May 2017 they went public and were seen 20 times before Reputation came out in November, it was super public.
An alternate timeline is that after Hendall and Hiddleswift both ended within a month and before Joe/Taylor and Harry/Tess Ward went public within a week the haylor sightings, being in the same city, songs, gifts, blind items, edited videos and friend comments were because they were secretly dating again.
because....
24 August - Hiddleswift over
22 September - Hendall break up again.
28 September - Taylor with Cara, Harry MIA, released Another Man covers/mixtape, Joe London.
October - Harry was in Jamaica recording HS1. Joe in London on 3rd. On 13th Joe and Taylor at Bowery enter separately. Joe is in NY for the Billy Lynn Long Halftime Walk promo tour so unlikely to have ample days ahead in NY given the films budget.
11 October - Taylor went to Joe's movie screening and the Rep book has a 19 November polaroid captioned "how would you feel about having a song written about you?"
3 November - Both are in LA for November with HS1 recorded.
25 November - Harry was seen in LA then disappeared for a week. Taylor posted a lot of photos of friendsgiving in RI. Joe not there. Taylor posted photos so would only show who was public.
28 November - is the first clue things may have been back on in a few months (apart from having both been in LA). Gemma (Harry's sister), Lou Teasdale (Harry's close friend & 1D stylist), Sam Campbell (Lou's sister and friend of Harry, married to one of Harry's friends too) go to Karaoke and post lyrics to WANGBT and Sam captions it "talk to my friends". 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Haylor Secrets posts that they are together, which.. that account may be totally fake, or making it up, but had been right about stuff
Tumblr media Tumblr media
December - Both in London, IDWLF released, Taylor has a birthday party at her London House the Rep magazine photos are in, Harry MIA but in London. On 28 December there was an unconfirmed sighting of them together and Taylor gave Austin a record signed by friends of Harry's. He thanked them and the band commented that it was signed for 'a friends little brother' who turned out to be Taylor Swift.' Harry knew them for years and Sam Campbell commented 'LOL'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
31 December - in 2020 7 photos of Taylor & Joe getting ready in her London house leaked with this date given. Why only 7? The date of the New Years Eve jumping into an icy pool story Taylor Nation edited out. If the story was about Joe why would it be edited out?
3 January 2017 - Lover journal that Taylor has been with someone for 3 months, no one has found out and she is living in London. It had been 3.1 months since the Hendall break up and 2.5 months since Joe got to NY. .....
Tumblr media
7 January - Harry records Lately where he sings 'I don't believe what you're saying to me, "that I love him"'
13 January - Taylor records DWOHT and the IDWLF music video.
1 February - Harry's birthday, the rose ring appears. Taylor is in NY/Nashville, Harry NY/London and Joe in London.
April - Harry's Rolling Stone interview where he leaves the table when Taylor is brought up and says he wants to tip is hat to her about 1989, and give his whole cap to the muse of HS1, now over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7 May - Harry seen with Tess Ward, the first time he has been seen with anyone since having dinner with Kendall in September.
16 May - a week later The Sun reports Joe and Taylor dating 'for months'. First time Taylor seen with anyone romantically since August
Down Under Lover (DR3)
Daniel Ricciardo x f!reader
Author's note: The plot is focused on a dream I had, it may be very small but so was my dream so life is unfair. I haven't written about Danny in ages so I had to appreciate my aussie bf
Summary: When Daniel falls in love, shyness but also thrill runs into his veins. He is scared of admitting his feelings but will also try everything to be around her. Everyone is encouraging him to confess although for that to happen, he needs a bit of a booster.
Warnings: alcohol consumption, making out, slight swearing
The moment I enter the club, a wave of nervousness rushes over me as I see him present in the room, talking to his friends, laughing with a massive smile plastered on his face. I am so glad he decided to come to the party.
When I found out that my friend had invited both him and my ex, who happens to be a very close friend of his, I was startled. At first, I didn't want to go, given that if I was in the same room with the both of them, I would spend the entire night silent, fully drunk and worried about what my ex would say.
Luckily, it was his sister's birthday and he wasn't able to show up. Luck was again on my side that night given that once I saw him in the club, I let out a soft sigh of happiness.
"Happy birthday girl" I say to my friend, giving her a tight hug, handing her the presents as I am instantly surrounded by my best friends that were also invited.
"He's here, you better go and say hi, otherwise no alcohol for you." she threatens me in a joking manner. I lay my eyes on him once again and I catch him staring at me. I smile and go towards him.
"Hey you" Daniel greets me first with a small smile on his lips and I quickly soften around his presence.
"Hey, I am glad you decided to come. It was a good choice."
"You were right. Maybe tonight will be fun, who knows?"
Neither of us knew. Until we found out towards the end of the night.
The first few hours run smoothly. Dinner is served and all of us take turns to eat. I was debating on whether I wanted to eat or not, given that every time my ex was around, I would refuse to eat anything and instead drink whatever was available to me. Then of course I would end up with a massive hungover and a headache that felt as if someone was hammering me.
It was very unhealthy to not eat anything. It took me way too long to realise that I was only harming myself whilst he was having fun and completely ignoring me. I joined the circle of my friends and had a good laugh whilst Daniel was with his friends and his laugh was echoing through the entire room, sending a warm feeling to my heart.
Him being happy is also making me happy.
After dinner was over, he came over to my friend group and we were talking about all kinds of stuff. How life had been treating us, how busy we were with our jobs and especially Daniel, having to travel the world with Formula One. All the attention was on him, talking about his experiences the past season and how he was ready to fly back to England for the release of the new Alpha Tauri car but Red Bull's as well for 2024 and get ready for pre-testing season.
What he didn't know, was that out of everyone in the room, I was always keeping an eye on him. Whether that was through my ex or from Formula One. I was the most joyful person on earth when my boss told me that I was assigned to write an article about Daniel's return to F1 after the dispute with Mclaren and him having no seat for the first half of 2023.
I always thought my ex was going to become an F1 driver or pursue a career in motorsports, given he was and is a junkie about cars. Daniel had never crossed my mind. He seemed to know a few things about motorsports but not in the level of actually becoming a driver, a very successful one as well.
There was an unexpected interruption in the conversation with his phone buzzing loudly. The first thing that came to my mind is that Christian may had been calling him, or Max, maybe even Yuki or Lando.
Definitely not the person who was actually calling him.
"Wassup mate, you alright?" As his deep and scratching voice drifted inside my head, I instantly wanted to throw up. I hadn't talked with my ex for about 9 months now and I had truly found the peace I was looking for. Until now that it was erupted.
"Yeah, having fun with everyone and chilling. All the best to your sister by the way. I will bring her a gift next time." The cheerful Daniel wasn't as smiley as he was a few minutes ago.
“Say, is Y/n there with you? Assuming it’s Cath’s birthday, she’s definitely around.” My face instantly dropped and a disgusting feeling took over my stomach.
Why did he care if I was at the party? We haven’t talked for so long? Has he not gotten over me? When he so easily agreed in breaking up?
“Yeah, she’s here. Why?” Daniel’s voice quickly stiffened at his friend’s question, not really wanting to be truthful to him.
“Can I talk to her? She won’t pick up her fucking phone or reply to my texts. Acting like a toddler Jesus Christ.” My ex said followed by a laugh which made Daniel’s blood boil and a few tears shed down my cheeks.
I needed to clear my mind. I was too foolish to realize how much of a bad influence he was and how much he was harming me. I wasn’t in love with him after some time. I was just scared of him.
“Sorry mate not really.” The strong Australian accent with a hint of irony made me giggle through all the crying.
“Why? Already shoving her tongue down someone’s throat? Knew she secretly was a slut.” The moment the slur came out of his mouth, Daniel replied with the most jaw dropping thing a man could say to his best friend.
“At least I can make her cum and feel good. Cheers.” And he instantly hung up. My friends were shocked with his answer and turned to look at me who was full blown red, under the bright colorful lights of the club, eyeing Daniel very intensely.
“Ricciardo saved the day.” Cathrine, the birthday girl said, nudging me playfully, before Daniel grabbed my hand and led us a few meters away from the rest of the group.
Truth be told, I had never held his hand before, hence why I had so many butterflies in my stomach when I felt his touch. And we had been classmates for many years.
Daniel was mumbling his words, trying to find a way to form his sentences. The way he reacted to what my ex said was so questionable but at the same time, gave me hope that he may have slight feelings for me. Very slight.
"I am so sorry for what I said before. I don't know how that came up to be honest." He eventually said, scratching his neck awkwardly and toying with my fingers. Daniel was blushing so hard that he was transferring his nervousness at me as well.
"It's alright. I want to thank you for not handing me the phone. I was in no position to talk to him. Nor will I ever be again." I said shyly, with him probably knowing through his friend why we wouldn't be in contact any time soon.
"I am glad. I mean, not glad, like, uh, I am happy that you don't want to be with him again, wait, not, that sounded wrong. What I mean is.." I started giggling with him stumbling on his words, trying to express himself and clearly failing. I know Daniel has good intentions. He always did.
"I understand Danny, don't worry. You weren't really a fan of us since high school and it took me way too long to realise that you were always right about him."
It was true. Ever since I first got my heart broken by his friend back in high school, he was one of the few, maybe even the first boy, to tell me that I didn't deserve this and instead should avoid him at all cost, because falling in love more would harm me.
I had to date him to actually understand the harm he would do to me. I was always supporting him, knowing he would never hurt me, given the kind boy profile he always had at school. That was mostly why I fell for him. Because I knew he would appreciate my kindness.
And yet he did not.
"I only wanted to protect you. I know how much you loved him and I am sorry I wasn't there to stop him from doing you more bad than good. At least, are you happier now? Now that it's over?"
As if I didn't have enough reason to love Daniel, his protective side over his friends, made me fall in love for him even more. I guess that's what 'kindhearted' means. Not just being shy and not rude to ones feelings.
"Yeah, I very much am. And hope to be even more. Are you happy?"
"I hope I will be, Y/n. I truly hope."
I took him into a soft hug. Wrapping my arms around his broad shoulders, as I feel his firm hands against my waist. It was a great feeling seeing Daniel again. We got really close when during senior year and I am glad we kept in touch with each other.
Daniel's head was on the crook of my neck, his beard scratching my soft spot which made my entire body tingle. His touch was so pure and yet so electrifying.
"I love you Daniel. I hope you know that." I whispered in his ear without a doubt, tangling my fingers against his bubbly, curly hair, which caused him to sigh happily.
"I really wish you knew that I had been in love with you since day one. I wish you had been mine and not his. I wish I was the one who could've treated you like the way you deserve." My heart stopped beating at the sound of his words.
Loved me since day one?
His and not anyone else's?
I felt disgusted with myself for not having realised sooner. I was the first person he sat next to back in 10th grade. He was the first boy I confessed my feelings for my crush who was his best friend. He helped his best friend express himself at me so we could end up together. He was the first person to tell me that I deserved better in life than my ex, who was not worth of my love.
Daniel was truly worth of my love. All the years I have known him, I have never felt more comfortable around a guy and now that he had finally confessed his love, my heart pooled with admiration, love and desire for this man.
I wish I could have loved his sooner. I wish I was dating Daniel sooner. I wish it was Daniel instead of him. A thousand times more.
"You deserve the love of the world. And I would be more than happy to give it to you." Daniel softy kissed my lips as the words came out of his mouth, that was burning mine with so much passion.
Kissing Daniel took me back to senior year when I had developed a massive crush on him after I got heartbroken the first time. There were so many instances that I wanted to tell him how I felt and yet I chickened out every time. But now, it was the perfect time.
"Only if you let me love you unconditionally, Daniel. It goes both ways." His smile took over the anger that had taken over his headspace a few minutes ago.
THERE’S LITERALLY NO RIDOC FICS AND I THINK THAT’S CRIMINAL! So thank you for being an absolute legend and taking requests for him 🙏🙏
I was thinking what about a Ridoc x reader who is Dain’s little sister but she’s the completely opposite of him. A Weasly twin style prankster who thinks rules are just suggestions. I’d love to see the shenanigans she and Ridoc get up too while also trying to keep their relationship a secret from Dain bc we all know he would freak out
Fourth wing pranksters
Word count: 834 Pairing: Ridoc x Aetos!reader A/N: I saw this request and was immediately inspired. They're head canons, I hope you don't mind nonnie.
Likes, comments and reblogs are greatly appreciated!
Tumblr media
One thing was crystal clear
Under no circumstance can Dain find out about you and Ridoc
It’s bad enough that his sweet darling little sister would start dating a guy
But Ridoc?!
The guy who’s known to be the best prankster in the entire quadrant?
Hell to the fucking no
It’s bad enough that you don’t follow the rules, no matter how much Dain and your father try
You don’t need someone to enable you and join in your behavior
Not as a classmate or as a friend and certainly not as your boyfriend
But if you play it smart, he won’t easily find out
He’s too busy drooling 🤤 over Violet, glaring daggers 😡 at Daddy Xaden 🥵 and being a stuck up rule follower
He’s literally Percy Weasley 🧑🏻‍🦰 since we’re talking about HP references
There was a silly tradition in Fourth Wing that when it’s someone's birthday🎉, they bring a snack🧁 to Battle brief
And it just so happens that Dain’s birthday was the next day
The day before his birthday, he had roped you into helping him make your grandmother's famous caramel apples
He told you that he needed your help last minute of course, so you didn’t have an excuse ready😑
The perfect opportunity for a prank, if you say so yourself🤫
When you and Dain were finally done, you wished him a happy early birthday and told him that you were going to study for a bit with Violet.
He knew that Violet was still pissed at him for reading her memories without permission, but he never expected that his sweet fragile Violet would insure that there would be retaliation
*Cue evil laughter*😈
Dain of course insisted to walk you to Violet's room, to make sure you were safe, he claimed, definitely not to maybe see Violet🤡
You walked into Violets room (or rather, Violet pulled you through the wards that 💪🏻overprotective 🥵Daddy Xaden installed)
You used your signet to see through the wall and waited until you saw Dain walk away
The second he was gone, you slipped out of Violet’s room and into Ridoc’s, who was already dead asleep😴
You climbed on top of him and settled in his lap
Of course, he’s a horny bastard and had other activity ideas🥵
You promised him whatever he wanted after he helped you🤭
He was 100% in after you explained your plan, as if he wasn’t already after your spicy promise😏
You two sneaked into the kitchens
You two went to make another batch of ‘caramel apples’ but oh no😱! there are no apples left😥!
Guess you two have to use the onions…😈
While you started making your grandmother’s caramel sauce, he went to peel the onions
It was one hell of a job to get it done before battle brief, especially since your promise didn’t do anything to lessen Ridoc’s horniness
There were a lot of steamy kisses and inappropriate touches🤤
But Ridoc’s ice signet 🥶 came in handy when the ‘apples’ were done and they had to be cool enough so that it seemed that they had cooled down during the night
You two sneaked the actual caramel apples 🍎 into your room to snack on later
Then you went to battle brief
Once you two were seated with your squad, Dain came in with the tasty onions🧅
He handed them out to professor Kaori, professor Devera and, to your slight horror, even to major Varrish
When Dain handed them out to your squad, you quickly warned them not to eat them🙊
The whole time, you and Ridoc had trouble to keep from bursting out in laughter🤣
Professor Kaori had just started battle brief, everyone’s apple temporarily forgotten in favor of taking notes, when major Varrish suddenly leaped from his chair with an angry shout🤬
Pieces of onion falling from his mouth🤮
Ridoc’s hand squeezed your inner thigh, as if that would keep him from bursting out in laughter
Varrish demanded to know who did it
Of course Dain was his first suspect, but professor Kaori pointed out that it was not something Dain would do😯
Everyone checked their own apples and found onions under the thick layer of caramel
Bodhi subtly suggested that one of the first years could have a signet that can change objects, which would make sense, since the first years had only just bonded their dragons, so they have no control over their signet🙄
And thus, Varrish’s rage turned on the first years
He ordered everyone to leave, except the first years and Dain
You shot your horrified brother a (hopefully) comforting look 😬
As soon as your squad was out of the room, Ridoc grabbed your hand
In his other hand, he held his onion and he was busy licking the caramel from the vegetable🤢
Sawyer laughed that he was disgusting, Violet was satisfied with her small petty revenge and Rhiannon was shaking her her head while mumbling how she was stuck with idiots
Ridoc gave your friends an innocent wave, before dragging you off to fulfill that promise that you made.🥵
My Best Friend (5)
[modern! club owner • Aemond x fem!reader]
[warnings: smut, sex content, fingering, kissing, fluff]
Tumblr media
[description: Aemond has his own club and often does business at the home of one of his business associates. There he often meets his younger sister, with whom he develops a deeper relationship through shared secrets.   This is slow burn love story.]
* English is not my first language. Please, do not repost. Enjoy! *
Previous and next chapters: Masterlist
_____
Aemond woke to the sound of someone taking a shower. The sun was shining brightly and it was very warm. A real summer morning. He looked around and tried to remember, where he was.
He was on their couch again, realizing, he had arrived yesterday for Klaus's birthday. He rubbed his temple, trying to remember exactly what he'd done last night, and froze.
"No. It was probably just my drunken dream." He tried to calm himself down, but his heart was pounding.
As if through a fog, he saw her gaze, warm cheeks, hair, felt her lips and tender, delicate hands. He clenched his jaw at the thought.
Then he realized, that when he finally lay down on the couch he couldn't sleep, because of how turned on he was, so he just relieved himself with his hand. His eye flicked to the floor, where a rolled-up handkerchief lay. He buried his face in his hands and made a low, frustrated sound.
The sound of a hair dryer was coming from the bathroom now. Aemond shuddered, suspecting, that Y/N was drying her long, dark hair. Automatically, his nostrils remembered the scent of her shampoo.
He squeezed his eye shut, wondering, what he should do when, she come out. Maybe he should just get up and drive straight to his apartment? The option of running away tempted him, but part of him felt, that he shouldn’t left without explanation. Though he didn't know, what really happened between them.
He flinched as he heard the bathroom door open. Y/N walked down the hall into the kitchen, their eyes met. Aemond was relieved as she smiled as usual, but she couldn't hide her slight embarrassment. Her hair was still slightly damp. She was wearing the same pajamas he'd seen earlier, with a black T-shirt that said "Depeche Mode" and shorts, that showed off her slender legs.
"Good morning." She said with honest smile.
He could see, that she had trouble looking at his face.
"Like I promised, I got up on time." She said feisty, the corner of her mouth raised even higher, although he could see, that she was also fighting a headache.
"What would you like to eat? Maybe sandwiches?" She answered herself, looking around the kitchen for an idea. “Klaus is probably in agony, I didn’t want to wake him, so there is no point in preparing anything warm.”
"Sandwiches sound good." He answered calmly, his voice less confident, than he would have liked and even lower than usual, slightly hoarse. He cleared his throat, and she nodded, taking his approval as a signal for action.
He watched silently as she put on the water for tea and turn on the coffee maker. How she took rolls out of the haversack, and from the refrigerator lettuce, ham, tomatoes, chives, and a whole host of other vegetables, that she obviously wanted to use. She spread them all over the counter, her hands trembling slightly, but her face showed no nervousness.
She shivered as Aemond stood up. Calmly, unhurriedly, he walked to the kitchen and tossed his rolled-up handkerchief into the wastebasket. Y/N stared at him and suddenly she understood, what that meant.
Her eyes widened, as her cheeks burned and she turned away immediately, trying to focus on her task. Aemond saw her swallow hard. She knew, what he was doing, when he came downstairs. This made him question, what she was doing.
She was two years younger than him, Klaus had never mentioned her having a boyfriend. For some reason, the idea, that she was probably much less experienced than he was - if any - turned him on. To control his flow of thoughts, he moved closer to her.
"Can I help?" He asked, looking at the little mess, that she had created on the counter from all the products lying around.
Her pupils widened as she saw, how close he was to her, but to his amusement, she tried to keep a serious face. She pursed her lips, and he could see her trying not to smile, feeling, that the situation between them was comical to say the least. For some reason, he had an overwhelming urge to tease her, to make her ashamed.
"Hmm, you can cut the tomatoes, if you want." She said, forcing her usual smug voice and pushing the vegetables closer to him and handing him the knife. He took it from her without a word and began to do, what she asked.
Y/N was standing next to him, their shoulders touching even though, there was still plenty of space in the kitchen and they didn't have to stand so close to each other. She was a head shorter than him, if she wanted to lean against him, her head would land on his shoulder.
Aemond watched from the corner of his eye as she worked, layering the buns with different ingredients, varying them each time, so that no sandwich was the same. He tried to think only about cutting, but he felt her herbal hair shampoo again, which already reminded him so much of her, that instead of calming down, he began to feel warmth in the lower abdomen.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked suddenly, arranging the tomato slices on each sandwich, where she'd told him to. She looked at him, surprised by his question, and nodded, looking at him gratefully.
"Yes, thank you. And you?" She asked, arranging sandwiches on plates. Aemond thought about his answer for a moment, letting out a low hum.
"At first I couldn't sleep." He said and felt her twitch. The corner of his mouth went up. "But I managed it somehow." He finished, glancing at her reaction.
He heard her swallow hard, but she didn't dare to look at him.
"And you?" He asked, surprising her again and receiving a puzzled look. "Did you fall asleep right away?"
She stared at him with wide eyes, her mouth opened as if she wanted to say something, but she closed it and tightened it, blushed, and looked away. He knew, she understood, what he was implying. He himself began to understand Klaus more and more, and why he constantly teased and tormented her. Her reactions were worth it.
He stared at her for a moment and, seeing her thrashing around, decided to take pity on her. He leaned down slightly and pressed his nose to her cheek, just as she had done to him yesterday. Y/N froze, he felt a shiver go through her. He himself felt the immediate reaction of his body to their close contact. The difference was, that this time, they were both sober.
"There is no reason to be ashamed." He spoke softly, his voice so close to her ear making her flinch slightly. "I was thinking about you too."
For a moment, all he could hear, was the pounding of their hearts. He had no idea, why he was doing this to her. He desired her physically, but there was more to it. What she gave him yesterday.
He didn't know how to call it, but he wanted it again. That heat in the chest, those tender, quickened breaths. He stood there, waiting for her reaction. A few seconds passed, before she turned her face towards him. Their noses were touching now.
She raised a hand tentatively, her fingers trembling, as she touched his face. The tips of her fingers touched part of his scar, which was visible from under the eyepatch. She swallowed hard, running her fingers up and down from his scar to the corner of his mouth.
He felt a heat in his chest, his hand went under her hair, his fingers tightening lightly on the back of her neck. He began to massage her skin with his thumb and she exhaled softly, her eyes expressing everything.
Holding her neck steady, he leaned in slightly, their lips touching spontaneously. They were more brushes than kisses, both of them with their lips parted, breathing deeply.
Y/N dared to run her hand through his hair, stroking it and pulling his face to hers. He purred contentedly into her mouth. He pulled her closer to him, searching for a real, sticky kiss, their movements accompanied by a light clicking each time.
He moved closer to her, the bulge in his pants now pressing against her belly. Y/N sucked in a breath, but only a soft "Shhh..." between kisses came out of his mouth.
Suddenly, Aemond broke away from her. She looked at him with a hazy, questioning look. She didn't have time to ask why he stopped, though, because he tugged her arm lightly, turning her back to face the counter, and he stood behind her, hugging her.
He brushed her hair from her neck with one hand, and placed the other in a safe place on her stomach. His fingers gently traveled up and down her shirt, as he placed gentle kisses on her neck.
Y/N inhaled faster, as she felt his hardness against her buttocks. Instinctively, she placed her hands on the tabletop, looking for any point of support. Her legs felt like jelly. She felt, that his breathing was also accelerated and she was not the only one affected by their actions.
"Have you ever slept with a man?" He asked softly, his nose touching her ear, his hand finding its way under her shirt and touching the bare skin of her belly.
Y/N made a short, high-pitched noise and shook her head after a second. Aemond groaned, pulling her closer to him.
"If you want me to stop, all you have to do is say No." He whispered, his breathing getting heavier, his hips pressing harder against hers, seeking any pressure.
"It doesn't matter at what point. Understand?" He asked, gripping her neck tighter.
She nodded, her eyes closed and clenched, breathing heavily. Her reaction made him grunt in contentment, his hips rubbing against her, sending an instant wave of pleasure.
His nose traveled from her cheek to her neck, kissing her more and more lustfully. His hand, stroking her belly steadily, went down slowly, to her panties. She let out a sudden moan and he paused, to give her a moment to protest. When he didn't hear it, he went down with his fingers and was delighted to find, that she was all wet.
His touch there made her all tense, her hands clenched on the counter, her buttocks pressing harder against his throbbing manhood.
"Easy." He whispered between breaths, trying to calm her down. "Have you touched yourself like this before?" He asked in between the slow movements around her clit, that practically made her spasm. He hadn't done anything to her yet, and he felt both he and she were on edge.
Y/N only replied a soft, broken "Yes". Her cheeks were red with embarrassment. Aemond smirked, then realized, that they were both rubbing their bodies against each other. He sighed with pleasure in her ear.
Taking advantage of the fact, that his fingers were already covered in her fluids, he slid them down, massaging her entrance.
"Spread your legs." He commanded softly. Y/N leaned in even further, her mouth slightly parted, eyes squeezed shut, fighting with all her might to keep quiet.
He slid the tip of his finger inside her, and a low moan escaped his chest as he felt, how tight and hot she was inside. He wondered, how he was going to get inside her, without tearing her apart.
Instinctively, he began to search for her pleasure point, gently exploring her structure with his finger, sliding it in and out in a calm, steady motion. She moved her hips to the beat of his fingers, his touch and his hard cock pressing against her from behind, completely clouding her mind.
Suddenly she felt his finger glide over the right spot inside her, near her entrance, and she let out a startled groan, that made Aemond smile to himself.
“That's what I was looking for. It's okay. It's okay, little one." His words made her walls tighten around his finger.
Aemond groaned as he felt Y/N getting closer to fulfillment. She was moving faster and faster, moaning sweetly. He stopped abruptly, gently slipped his finger out of her, and she sucked in a breath, startled and confused. Her cheeks were all red, her breathing ragged and fast.
He spun her around, grabbed her hips, and lifted her up, walking with her toward the stairs to the second floor. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck, surprised, staring at him with wide eyes. He opened the door to her room and placed her on her bed. He closed the door behind him, turning the lock with the key.
He turned to Y/N and she stared at him with wide eyes, trembling. He walked over to the bed, undoing his belt.
"Do you want to continue?" He asked low and calm, his eye dark with lust.
Y/N looked at him and swallowed hard. She didn't know why, but she wanted to do it with him. She had always liked him. She valued and admired him. She thought him a very handsome, beautiful man, and the scar in her eyes only added to his mystery.
She knew, that he was experienced and that he wouldn't hurt her. That if something goes wrong, he'll stop. Place between her thighs throbbed with pain, she felt so close to fullfilment.
She nodded and they both groaned. Aemond sat down on the bed in front of her, took off his shirt quickly, and encouraged her to do the same.
"I want to see you." He whispered, looking at her expectantly.
She stared at his chest and muscles. She could see, that he was training and keeping fit, and he was a lot bigger than her. The sight of him made her feel even more tight down below, and wordlessly, she did as he instructed.
She pulled her shirt over her head and laid down with her arms folded on either side of her head, staring at him with her mouth slightly parted. Aemond stared at her for a moment. He wanted to remember this sight.
Involuntarily, his hand reached for one of her soft, firm breasts. They both moaned as he squeezed it, Y/N throwing her head back, her hand going to his, encouraging him to keep going.
His thumb teased her nipple, and she moaned softly, trying not to make any loud noises, knowing, that Klaus was sleeping a few rooms away. Aemond leaned over her suddenly, and she wrapped her arms tightly around him. They kissed, his tongue squeezing over her lips, meeting the muffled moan of her pleasure. He pressed his chest against hers and purred into her mouth.
He broke away from her after a while with a quiet, wet click and went down a little lower, grabbing her shorts and panties at the same time. He looked at her, and when there was no objection, he slid them off her with one, firm motion and tossed them aside.
Her own nakedness embarrassed her, and she turned her face to the window, breathing heavily. His hand on her jaw forced her to look at him.
"Spread your legs." He said low. She knew, that he was on the edge himself.
The sound of that sentence made her shiver, and she did, as he asked, all red. Aemond grabbed her thighs and lifted them higher, swung one of her legs over his shoulder, lifting her buttocks.
Y/N gasped in surprise, tensing up all over her body. She had never been so exposed to anyone, her whole body was shaking. Aemond felt it, ran his hand gently over her leg, which was on his shoulder, and kissed her thigh softly.
"Easy, little one. Easy." He said, kissing her lower and lower. “It’s okay.”
She realized, what he wanted to do and swallowed deeply. As she felt his kisses on her entrance and his tongue forcing its way inside, she threw her head back and pursed her lips tightly, suppressing the hard moan, that became a low, guttural sound.
She breathed heavily, as she felt him speed up, moaning as softly as she could, his tongue pressing against the spot, where his fingers had previously pressed.
"Aemond..." She moaned softly, as if she was about to cry, her hips moving fast, her hand buried in his hair. Normally, he would have teased and tormented her, but not now. When he felt she was almost at her climax, he stopped abruptly, a sound coming from her mouth answered him, as if he was hurting her.
Aemond took his wallet out of his pants pocket and took out a condom, tossing it on the sheets beside her. Her chest heaved up and down rapidly, as she watched his pants and boxers being pulled down without taking his eye off her. She realized, that they were really going to do it and felt excitement mixed with immense desire.
She watched as he put a condom on his swollen, large cock. She settled back and swallowed, looking at him expectantly. Aemond moved toward her and bent his elbows over her head. They stared at each other for a moment, their noses touching. Y/N threaded her fingers through his hair and pulled him to her, planting tender kisses on his lips, that made him sigh in contentment.
His heart was pounding like crazy. He brushed her lips, preparing himself and her for what was to come. He took his manhood in his hand and placed his tip at her entrance.
"Wider." He pleaded, and she immediately opened her thighs, letting out a soft moan, as he pressed against her. They both took a deep breath as he entered her slightly. She was so tight and hot, that he couldn't think straight.
"Wait" She said softly, drawing in a breath, her face showing discomfort. Aemond stopped at once, the only sound in the room was their rapid breathing.
 He looked at her fair face, slightly parted lips and thought, that he had never been so soft with anyone. He rested his forehead against hers and closed his eye.
"Everything's all right?" He asked quietly. She nodded, swallowing hard. She touched his cheek with her hand, stroking it steadily, trying to relax. After a long moment, she moved her hips slightly towards him. He let out a soft sigh and kissed her.
What he was doing now, was not the way, he used to have sex with other women. Today, with her, he wanted something different. He moved inside her again, softly, trying to slide his cock deeper inside her.
She pressed her eyes and lips together, gripping his arm painfully. He paused again to let her get used to his size and the way he stretched her. He kissed her with a purr, and she kissed him back with sigh, relaxing a bit. He pushed his hips deeper and moaned loudly as he felt that somehow, he fit all of him inside her.
"Fuck..." He gasped low, as his cock throbbed all over. He was too turned on, and her walls were giving him too much pressure. His eyebrows expressed concern, and he squeezed his eye shut.
Y/N looked at him and stroked his cheek, both of them breathing heavily. She kissed him lightly, again and again, and they lay there for a while, just kissing. Birds chirping could be heard from behind the slightly open window, and pleasant summer air flowed into the room, now more crisp and cool.
He moved his hips slightly, and a soft moan escaped her lips. Encouraged, that her face no longer showed either pain or discomfort, he began to slide lazily in and out of her, as if he had all the time in the world. He noticed, that the frequency of his movements corresponded to the ticking of the clock.
The pressure inside her was incomparable to anything else. The air tightened in his lungs, as he entered her again and again. Her hips began to move, thrusting out to meet him. Feeling it, he involuntarily sped up and they both moaned loudly.
"Aemond...please, don't stop" She pleaded, feeling, that she was close again and wouldn't survive, if he refused her once again.
Her words made him thrust deeper into her, moaning, though he tried with what little of his willpower, not to do so with all the strength he had. Her walls were clenching around him, his movements becoming faster and uncontrollable.
He got up, so that he was kneeling in front of her, still inside her, took her hips in his hands and began to thrust inside her harder, panting heavily. For Y/N the change of position was bliss, his cock pressing down on the place, that felt so good, begging for fulfillment. She moaned softly, trying to contain herself, but he wanted to hear her, and his every thrust proved it. He felt, she was close.
“Such a sweet girl” He said in a low voice, panting heavily, as he felt her clench more and more, knowing, he wouldn't last much longer either. “... show me. Come one my cock like a good girl you are.” He said, fucking her loudly and mercilessly with wet slaps, being so close to his fulfillment.
That sentence from his mouth, at that moment, was the end for her. Her body twisted backwards, she took a deep breath, as if she was drowning. Her hands clenched on the pillow behind her back and she moaned loudly, as her orgasm flowed through her body in strong waves.
"Fuck!” He groaned loudly, looking pleadingly at her with his mouth parted. Her steady pressure of orgasm, combined with his thrusts, made him come so hard that he bent over, panting like a wild animal. His orgasm felt like an eternity.
He involuntarily entered her lightly a few more times, feeling her whole body soften. Breathing heavily, he released her thighs and lay forward, resting his face next to hers, partly on his hands so, he didn’t crush her completely.
For a few minutes, they both just breathed loudly with their eyes closed. He was still in her, the feeling of her warmth around him made him reluctant to slid out.
Y/N lightly stroked his hair, which was now completely messy, and he just hummed softly in approval. She turned her face towards him and he opened his eye. Their foreheads touched. They looked at each other in silence. Warmth could be seen in their eyes.
"Everything's all right?" He asked quietly, feeling completely drained. Y/N smiled at his question, her eyes brightening.
"Yes." She replied just as quietly. "But I hope Klaus didn't hear us. If it's possible." She said with amusement, her hand lazily running through his hair. His thumb lightly stroked her cheek. He laughed at her words.
“It's unlikely. Although, if he did, we'd probably already know about it."
