A little context…

During one of the main quests with Sebastian, him and Ominis argue about something in the undercroft. While they were doing that I figured out that I could use Transformation on the boxes and benches in the area and turn them into random things. So while they were having a heated little argument I was messing around, chasing rabbits🐇 and toads🐸, and overall making a huge mess of the place, completely entranced by the fact that this was possible.

It was a moment that was so stupid I had to draw it, it’s been on the back burner of my projects for a bit and I finally had the motivation to finish it, so here it is 😅🎃

Conceptualizing Men and Machines often has me feeling surprisingly clever but I’m not exactly original for riffing on the whole name game wrt Megatron and the angel Metatron. To the point where my spell checker attempted to correct the latter to the former. But I do feel like I deserve a little bit of credit bc the link isn’t megatron-metatron it’s megatron-Enoch/galvatron-metatron. Of course this does posit Unicron as God, or i suppose really more of a Demiurge figure given his explicit penchant for cruelty. All in a days work I suppose.

it’s funny to me because like. look, gaming shit, i’m fairly well-versed in, so even before starting ac2, i knew ezio was the assassin’s creed protagonist that a lot of. to be blunt, gamergate-ass chuds like to point to as The Best One™️, on account of him being male and white and het. so it’s just very funny to me that ezio says gay rights. not that it would matter to those kinds of assholes, they’d probably say this game from 2010 has a woke mind virus forcing ezio to love gay people. but. they very much cannot change the canonical fact that ezio’s best friend is gay and he says out loud that he thinks leonardo’s boyfriend is good for him.

it’s just sorta hitting me that we know like almost nothing about what the fuck majima was doing in 5 when he was supposed to be dead??? like???? he was in on katsuya/mirei’s plan and caught onto what was going on really early and whatnot but. what the hell was he DOING for all that time. he just shows up at kurosawa’s at some point with zero explanation how or under what pretext or anything. how did he fake his death in the first place? how did he get it announced on the radio and put in the news despite there being no body or anything to prove that he died?? I mean, I don’t understand why Bobby would dream about half this stuff (I thought Henren & Eddie losing their kids -> him losing Robbie & Brooke, but then Madney & idk how that would fit in)

Idk, it doesn’t make sense, but Bobby was literally DEAD for 14 minutes. His heart was not beating. They were talking about the possibility of taking him off of life support should it proceed for too long (at least, that’s what I assume the conversation between Athena & Dr. Salazaar was about, Bobby’s “directive”), but he wakes up same day & has Z E R O lingering effects?? He’s up & at ‘em & ready to work as a firefighter again???

Like, I get that this is a silly little TV show, & we have to suspend our disbelief or whatever, but this genuinely just feels like lazy writing. “I don’t want to 😔 Bobby’s fine bc I say so 😌 We don’t need to worry about consequences 😘����”

This show is genuinely so hard to fucking watch sometimes. Common sense? No, we don’t have any of that here, check a different firehouse

ooooo okay surface level analysis: i like winner’s room fics :)

etwas tieferes: i think it’s cool that it’s (afaik) unique to hockey fandom and i enjoy the way it integrates a lot of unspoken rules in hockey with desire/makes them a physical/tangible reality… also the narrative potentials/world-building it opens up can be fun because there’s not really a set of rules for the “winner’s room” trope. are there in-universe rules? who gets chosen? who’s exempt? who gets to pick? where’s it going down? is it the entire room or one guy? what if your (ex)boyfriend is on another team? does somebody need to be taught a lesson or do you need to remind someone who got traded you still love them? also, most important, winner’s room gives you the chance to put two random-ass guys you saw interact for 0.002 seconds and went “hmmm. interesting” about into a Situation and i love that
