the number of afab people replying to the pain poll going "yeah I've broken limbs and had 1st degree burns and given birth but nothing tops my menstrual pain" is so fucked up it is unbelievable. and I was right there with everyone else until I stumbled on a low dose progestin regimen that just made me stop menstruating. which I would recommend to everyone except it just doesn't work for everyone. ask your doc about it though, it won't cause permanent side effects or injury to try it out. i take norethindrone 2.5mg 2x/day. this dose has to be different for each patient to work correctly, that's just what I take. there's some research to suggest synthetic progesterone like norethindrone is carcinogenic so I'm going to look into switching. anyway i just got extremely lucky. there is seriously nothing like it. it was the worst pain I ever felt until the urology incident and frankly I think the menstrual pain was already a factor in the outcome of the urology incident

Sexual dimorphism depends on either caring for offspring is characteristic of males of the species:

if not - they try to fertilize as many females as possible, they do not care for future of offspring, females choose males according to their bright color (he will not be of any use for raising offspring, but at least the genes are good, since he has a lot of energy for such a bright tail and aggressive behavior); such species where males compete for the attention of females and show aggressive behavior are called tournament species.

If it is - monogamy is characteristic, fathers take care of the offspring, females often cheat on the male (since you can leave the children in his care). Species with such behaviour are often then not have almost no sexual demorphism, especially birds of prey where it is impossible to see whether it's male or female unless taken DNA test or observed behavior with partner during the mating season.

On this so called scale humans are somewhere in between which provides variety in appearance, therefore saying that there are drastic differences in appearance between sexes is as wrong as saying that the majority exhibits no differences at all.

Although I agree with the comment that says we are more alike than different. And applying sex logic from other species without carefulness to humans has already been proven harmful in numerous occasions (the alpha thing, instincts, etc.)

i think a lot about how in the past women/afab people disguised themselves as men and lived for years undetected (in all-male workplaces!!) because it really drives home the point that there is so much natural variation in human bodies that would enable somebody to believably do this. like not only is it natural for men to be very short but it’s also natural for them to have high voices, it’s natural for women to be tall, built, and masculine, and the fact that people in the past just rolled with it like “he has dainty hands and that’s none of my business” gives me some type of jealousy. people have gotten way too comfortable deciding what traits are normal for what sex. i think we all need to mind our business more.

the original idea wwas to display fords nightmare after he passed out from bleeding from his eye - the dream was going to depict a drop of blood splattering on his shoulder with a disembodied voice calling his name, and as he turns we get a transition to a flashback to where he turns and thinks stanley called him during class. confused he goes back to his studies, suffers a nose bleed, and as the disembodied voice calls him again, i was going to originally have him talking about getting deja vu, but setlled (not drawn) on him waking up to fiddleford hovering over him

i like to think bill messed with the sequence of fords memories, not only disturbing him in the present (research era), but also causing his memories to bleed together, causing an intense sense of impending doom and deja vu for him when he was younger (huge source of stress for him and also a poentional reason for him to be so attracted to gravity falls and weirdness of wverything. ford was born to be cursed). of course, in the future (2016) we know that ford knows that bill is the one who caused this, and i like to think that the metal plate in his head also helped to resequence his memories. weither or not lady oracle had a part in this (i cant remember if that is her name rn but you know) is up to your own interpretation
