i loved ruby’s lashing out this chapter. it was something i’ve been waiting for, just her snapping. i didnt imagine it would be at her friends and family, but honestly that kinda makes it better.

aside from yang (and i’m only assuming because they’re sisters and must’ve seen all the uglier sides of each other) none of her friends have really seen her at her lowest. she never talked about how she felt after the fall of beacon. the closest she got was with oscar in v5 ch5 and even then she focussed on the bigger picture of what to do next rather than how she felt about it. this girl has been pushing aside her feelings and problems to help others since vol 1 and thats how her friends see her. so to have her go after the things that hurt her friends the most— it doesn’t just hurt, it makes them see just how unwell she is.

uhhh i was always on the hard roster, like tommy was always on the easy roster - me and toms had a little rivalry bc of it! he was kinda jealous that i was always on the hard roster when he was on the easy one, and i made fun of that a lot but it was 100% shits and giggles

i met ranboo in his makeshift house once. i think i glared at him (helmet made a confused/angry face) and went "...who are you?" djsjsj

no one else had met him yet, but eventually he became semi-common knowledge bc i introduced him to racing and he started doing it on his own - no one knew i introduced him to it of course but eh

thats when i learned he couldnt race . i learned that bc i think i did a practice race with him? to teach him. he almost finished the race, but i got frozen in the starting spot bc it wasnt supposed to happen and he only circled back when he realized i wasnt coming after him

we were friends before phil stepped down, and when i took up leadership i finally got a grip on the damage he was doing to the races. until then i'd been ignoring it bc i mean . i also wasnt supposed to be there so it would be kind of dickish to give him shit for it lol. we were close, so i didnt hate him, but he was still a threat so i tried to stop him from racing and he was upset by that so we stopped being friends

for context on why exactly he was a threat:

i was from a different game: manhunt. i moved to sugar rush when it was shut down and took george & sap with me. manhunt was made by the same company and gogy & sap had very similar characters in sugar rush as an "easter egg". all i had to do was combine them and make sure they still remembered me

i dont think they remembered manhunt, but they did remember me so it waaaaassss,,,, fine i guess

i really didn't want to do anything harmful or mess up the game . it was very important to me that i didnt lose another game and set of friends and i especially didnt want it to be because i got found out which is why i was so worried about ranboo . if he messed up the game, then all three of us could be thrown out or the game couldve gotten shutdown, ya know?

KIPO S3 ANALYSIS

- Multiple mutes with the TimberCats in the first(?) HMUFA meeting. I see the cats, umlat snakes, ratland rats, and fitness raccoons.

- I’m assuming being friends with Kipo encouraged them to be here, but I wonder if they knew that coming here would involve talking about what Emilia is doing

- Scarlemange is still wearing his get up

- He also got out! Only to be captured again. I wonder if he escaped because he wanted to deal with Emilia himself or if he just wanted to be out of naught monkey jail.

- We Wolf use this rope like weapon either, so either this is Wolf capturing him (likely motivated by Kipo in some way) or this is a new character that will teach Wolf how to use this weapon. I don’t think we’ve seen her use ropes for anything other than traps before. Stalky and those fight sticks were blundering weapons.

-Return of the dragonflies!

- Now did Dave convince them to help (since he speaks dragonfly) or did a frog lend them? If it’s a frog it could be Jamack since he knows his way around them, or it could be a mod frog.

-Also, Kipo and Wolf look some degree of pissed with determination. I’m not use to seeing Kipo be outright mad like this.

- When I was curious of seeing if we’d see more mutes like Dave, I didn’t mean it like this.

- The concept of multiple Daves, all be immortal/immune to dying by age is not only fuckin something, but it could also mean they have the key of filling in the history we’re not aware of.

- I wonder if they were an underground society just Vibin all this time and the only reason Dave’s not with them is because he got bored and curious.

-Would you believe me when I said I didn’t notice Jamack the first two times I watched this? because I didn’t. I was focused on the hummingbomber and the whole zoomed out frame is shown only briefly.

- Also??? Jamack pressing his hands against Kipo’s through the glass??? GOD that’s such an emotional move, wanting to touch Kipo because it’s been heavily implied that was never a thing in mod frog society on the whole “no friends” basis. He really has grown and learned to be in touch with emotions ;-;

-The fact that Emilia and her crew were able to capture multiple different mutes in what we can assume is in a short time after the coronation is startling. She had a plan and it’s being executed well. She also has a lot more humans working with/for her which can’t be well.

-There’s an empty cage, next to said hummingbomber.

-Jamack was traveling with TheOtters, Rad confirmed this. I don’t like that we don’t know where they besides that Jamack was with them and combined with fact that theres the empty cage...

 ... and combined with the fact that we see what could be a mega mute otter beside Jamack. It could be a beaver or groundhog since the coloring appears to be a bit different, but seeing the empty cage doesn’t sit well.

- Idk if Emilia would make a mega mute. She enjoyed having Song in her control because such a large creature is useful in a fight, so she easily couldve tried to make a mega mute she could control or it was an accidental side effect of trying to take away the sentience of an otter. Depending on where we are when this scene happens, Emilia could be still working out the kinks in the “cure”

- There also other figures sitting on top of the dog, BeakBeak, and otter/beaver/groundhog, so this is likely one of many coordinated attacks on Emilia. And Jamack seems to be leading it!!! and that makes me so happy cuz 1) it means he’s finally working alongside Kipo now and 2) he’s pushing down his fear of mega bunnies to help!! Go Jamack!

- S O N G

-Now there’s debate on if this is a flashback or not. It shouldn’t be because she turned into a Mega Monkey right after Lio was escaping with Kipo and Lio has the clover patch of the burrow he raised Kipo in.

-But it makes me wonder where did Song get those clothes then??? Because correct me if im wrong, but those look really similar/the same as the clothes we see in the flashbacks??? And i get Kipo kept her clothes after coming back from being a Mega Jaguar because y e a this is a PG show but if Song came back wouldn’t they give her new clothes??? idk idk maybe im not suspending my belief where I should.

-Maybe it’s in the dreamscape?? Mullohand is with her, and he can make people “dream” together like Dave and Benson did if I recall correctly.

Other thoughts w/o screenshots:

- we see a scene where humans attack the Timbercats home and I do NOT feel well about it. Scooter Skunks were present there too so Idk if theyre helping Kipo or Emilia is forcing them to be on her side.

- Emilia and her gang are fuckin armed to the nines. Not only crossbows, but darts filled with chemicals, and fire and a boat!? Not only does this woman not care that she’s going to kill a child but she does not care about collateral damage.

- Overall, it’s a much more serious and intense feel. Just about every scene implies danger which is such a turn from the first two seasons where there was danger, but Kipo and Co were trying to enjoy themselves to a degree.

- Still holding out on seeing Jamack in different clothes/ at least ditching the tie as he hopefully gets over the Mod Frogs. I don’t think he’s gonna return to them, even if Sartori is out of the picture and especially since Kwat and Harris are also gone. Please, where is Jamack’s reaction to their deaths????

- Speaking of, how the hell are the Mod Frogs doing now that Ms. Sartori is dead? Is there a new leader and are they gonna help/be on screen at all?

-I keep rewatching and I know there are so many things im missing but I’m still just REELING from it all holy s h i t. There’s a LOT going on for being 1:30min teaser.

- Someone pointed out Emilia is in formal wear a couple of scenes, and she is, which makes me wonder if she’s making a celebration of this whole thing. And if she is, does that mean she feels she’s the one that should be celebrated for “curing” the mutes and putting them in their place?? If so, that’s a pretty fucked parallel to how Scarlemange was putting humans in their place and how he wanted to be celebrated for it.

-Bruh I’m hyped because this season is gonna be one huge curveball and rollercoaster of emotion i just know it.

- Im also v scared about how Rad is gonna rip out our hearts this time. First it was Wolf’s backstory, then Hugo’s backstory, then gilding the mod frogs, this show is brutal and i am in f e a r.

if martin had survived in your oblivion universe, what would have happened next? would he have abolished the monarchy? would he be chilling with xikeel and ned still as if barely anything had changed? or would it have been a bit more complex than that?

hes a commoner and originally from the peasantry, so hes not like a radical to start but doesnt particularly approve of monarchy. and hes been hanging out with like two fantasy commies for the past years so he absolutely hates the position hes in (ingame bad writing contradicts ths a bit but not actually that much)

his loose plan was like

use the fact that every imperial legion has been withdrawn to cyrodiil anyway to formally declare a withdrawal. justify it as necessary to consolidate in the wake of the crisis, but is intended to begin an irreversible dissolution of the monarchy.

put reparations into effect, especially since most other provinces were fucking devastated due to their occupying military force pulling out and leaving them high and dry.

attempt to reconfigure the elder council to be democratically appointed and capable of functioning without a central authority. 

change the lighting of the dragonfires thing to be not an emperor type role, more of a religious one. it would have to continue since its a literal pact with a god, but have no central power attached to it.

finally absolishing the monarchy once fairly certain there can be no takebacks, and then fucking off bc hes in his late 40s he wants to chill

obviously this stuff is very idealistic and probably wouldnt have gone as planned (and taken lifetimes to fully go into effect). hes smart but this isnt his world and hed probably be incredibly frustrated with the whole thing. like i think the 1st step couldve happened for real and initiated a slow dissolution of the cyrodiilic empire, but idk about the rest. (and also what that would mean irt the thalmor...)

and in terms of his friends, hed WANT things to stay the same as possible but it would be more complicated. hes gay and trans and doesnt want kids anyway so would have to matrix bullet dodge requirements to produce an heir. ned’s under the impression that he can go like “im a male concubine or fucking whatever leave me alone”  and just get to come and go as he pleases, but i dont think his presence would be appreciated, even if he REALLY does his best not to get into shit. xikeel would be less divisive, but it would still be an “why are you letting   c o m m o n e r s   crawl around you  like weevils” vibe

the whole situation would strain their friendships. they all met each other in an absurdly high stress situation and were there for each other so i dont think it would wreck anything, but definitely be very Strained (particularly with ned who would be very stressed by the situation). but if he made it to the point of being able to abdicate (or escape) and got his wish of going back to kvatch and helping to rebuild it, things would settle and i really think their friendships couldve lasted.  hed be happy to finally be able to get to know two people he cares about under normal situations and for them to know him as just another person

MY JUSTICE LEAGUE REVIEW.

okay, so as many of you know, i did get to see justice league the day it came out last weekend ! a bunch of people have been asking me to post my review, i’ve been incredibly busy which is why this did not post sooner. a bunch of spoilers below, you have been warned. 

so OVERALL, i really did like it....sort of.  i actually liked the length, it was much easier to process & observe then say, the avengers, but we got so m u c h cut, not even just from lois but like.....barry saving iris, vicTOR STONE, i m e a n ...... srsly. like they could have done it ! better ! within the runtime ! if they had just cut out whedons bullshit quips & barry falling into diana boobs! but anyways, more on that later. the score was so so good, esp the opening song i c ried but honestly danny elfman wasnt the best. i wouldve preferred junkiexl, bc at least he wouldve paid homage 2 zimmers score (im v bitter.)

i LOVED the opening montage. snyder all the way i mean, i s t an one(1) caucasian man. also lmao im referring to the gotham city scene, NOT the superman video clip bc a. cgi & b. like what purpose does it even serve if the camera doesnt immediately pan 2 lois after he answers that question lmao. but the batman cinematography over gotham was on p o int. honestly the way they designated each portion of the introduction to a specific superhero - like the coloring, the backstory, everything - i really liked the seperate sections each for aquaman, the flash, cyborg, etc. idk wonderbat was un nessacary in the dceu but i dislike b/en affle/ck so lmao. steve joke was NOT cool tho. 

okay but i LOVE ezra millers’ barry allen. i would die for him im not even JOKING he was so GOOD and stole the show honestly. God bless they couldnt have picked a better actor tbh. i really wished we could have gotten more of cyborg’s insight/backstory but my man ray fisher fucking shined. aquaman strutting down the docks to icky thump while downing a bottle of whiskey is my aesthetic....thats Hawt. again, more backstory (mera was in for like 2 minutes i mean what the fuck)

 but yeah. i wont talk much about batfleck bc a. no character development he was just there lmao and b. i dont like him ( i love comics bruce wayne ok just not gross ass sexual harasser b*n affl*ck playing him).  i love alfred tho. obviously nothing can been the nolanverse alfred but this ones pretty damn good, they both do a good job of knowing lois is both the key AND the big guns, hats off 2 u BOTH. bruce felt so guilty tho i mean whyy bro some of it i think was just so diana could comfort him which was....uh ok. i like the gadgets !! also him adopting barry allen. i miss the batfamily!! also ‘whats ur superpower’ ‘im rich’ well goddamN. wonder woman was underused. i mean she can obviously hold her own in a fight against supes longer then that, if not beating him like r u KIDDING me. but ya my girl kicked ass

moving on, steppenwolf couldve used more backstory/screentime. i didnt...rlly...get...his motives aside from him being chaos personified or whatever. not the best villian but he couldve been tbh with the story he had. my AMAZONS slayed. the motherbox thing was explained so quickly, the connections between worlds was v clear like damn the mcu could never (i love marvel dont get it twisted tho.)  i loved the themes of unity and everything but it needed more woman. i know this sounds arbitrary but...lmao so far, no male-centred dceu film has passed the bechtel test. wonder woman is the ONLY one. fucking ridiculous.  not even a two minutes conversation with lois empathizing with her pain like goddamn.

clarks alive, we been KNEW, obviously. the resurrection wasnt super confusing but kind of like a letdown. i would have preferred if it hadnt been the league to resurrect him, instead like some other sun power or maybe steppenwolfs scheme or something, it seemed a little wrong. im not even gonna talk about henrys mustache until later when i unload the shit in whedon sO - i personally like his new suit!! he wasnt in the film too much tbh, honestly wb either owes me a full directors cut of him explaining his thought process about returning to earth and his character development theron, OR man of steel 2. like cmon man. boy came back from the dead wtf is going on there. much more of a classic superman then in bvs which i liked, but it seemed kind of rushed & i miss snyders depth.

now onto the main event: (jkjk but rly) LOIS JOANNE LANE !�� first off i really loved her wardrobe, the contrasing blues and navies with her red hair like...i see u supes coloring scheme, i see what u did there. i love her bond with martha. i love amys face. but u know what i didnt love that ill 10000% elaborate more on and put into a seperate post for my jl verse? pretty much everything else. yes, a woman’s grief should be validated and never underestimated or mocked, yes, a woman’s grief does not make her any bit less strong. but lois, my lois at least, i strongly believe, would not have stuck to fluff pieces. she is VERY all or nothing when it comes to this, its either the truth, or nothing at all. in the event of supermans death OR disappearance, she would have grieved, she would have been heartbroken - but she would have persevered, evidenced in the comics heavily. more on this later.

i am VERY pissed about amy’s cut/reshot scenes. all the heartfelt clips shown during test screenings, all of zacks intentions, all of the original screenplay - lmao, cut.  does lois ever talk to martha about anything other then clark? groceries? investigations? anything else to build a solid mother-daughter relationship? ok. the nightmare scene where she remembers clark? gone. the in depth conversations with martha in the farmhouse? zilch. the independent investigations of s.t.a.r labs unveiling steppenwolf/ the mother boxes that shows her manifesto in full force? nowhere. the goddamn proper clois reunion from the trailer where the ring was MENTIONED/CONFIRMED like every other logical person expected, the heartfelt reunion about truth and justice and love? fucking no w here.

lois lane deserves a stand alone. or at least a short, or a tv show. im fucking serious. all that lois/diana setup from bvs and they dont even t a lk. cmon. lois is a sidenote in the story !! im so MAD. like yes, forever grateful for ‘big guns’ and ‘backup plan’ but whedon fuckin twisted it all man.....what happened to her being the key? how the fuck did flash know about this? did they cut something else? i MEAN she has virtually NO onscreen contact with bruce, who should be regularly checking up on her bc shes the key & all, or from diana, who sympathizes with her pain via bvs/ww cinematographic parallels that were obviously intentional. no league interactions at all. im unimpressed.

God I so wish to leave the abysmal hell that is my schools ““DiStAnCe LeArNiNg PrOgRaM”. There’s so many issues.  1. Little to no communication on the schedule! I had to find the schedule myself only to be told that schedule was fricking wrong!

1a. Period 6 is split down the middle, during this split we go eat lunch and then at 12:57 all the students (distance and in person) come back and go back to class. H O W E V E R the schedule lists this as “6th period starts at 12:57″ and doesn’t mention the split Nobody bloody told me about this split Nonsense and now I’ve got 3 absences in that class and all she could say was “oh. Guess the schedules wrong” and left the absences on my file.

1b. We have an extended schedule sometimes that usually happens Wednesday’s, this was again never mentioned on the schedule even thought it has separate boxes for Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday and so it’s got plenty of opportunities to say “hey Wednesday different” so o just assumed it was like gone to keep students from being in one place to long or whatever. This made me late to m u l t I p l e c l a s s e s.

2. Tech Issues! The audio quality is worse than my 3rd grade Minecraft channel! So is the video quality! They show us YouTube videos and three things happen 1. No audio 2. Broken audio and jumpy video 3. The audio has an echo. My school issued laptop crashed when I opened google docs during a particularly laggy zoom. I’ve also had it where zoom won’t stop loading or says the teachers never started the zoom.

3. The teachers! There are multiple problems with them so imma break it down

3a. They literally don’t interact with us, they start the zoom and walk away to teach the rest of the class and they get away with barely teaching remote students because there’s like 3 max in a class usually only 1 or 2. Of we have questions, half the time they don’t get answered until we send an email that they respond to hours later about an assignment that’s late because it was posted at 1:47 and due at 3:20 The same day. Sometimes they just straight Up don’t respond which is just g r e a t.

3b. Specific incidents! I showed proof via multiple screen shots of my zoom that included a time stamp. She said, “you have been late many times before” I had been late one other day in that class. Then she counted it as an absence even though the email convo was DURING THE CLASS AND SHE COULDVE LET ME IN BUT NO!

the overwhelming feeling of my t(w)een years of 'SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG; I NEED HELP' - i wish so deeply i could have known about being autistic or nd or trans or any of it i wish i could have been told there were so many things wrong in the world instead of everyone acting like all of this is normal/natural/fine i spent so much time feeling strange and 'on the outside' and Weird feeling 'i am missing something' but having no idea what i feel such a sadness! for the things that version of me couldve had if only e'd known how long i spent wanting help but being incapable of asking for it (and trying to ask for help can still bring me to tears today !) how long i spent thinking i was this uniquely bizarre creature apart from everyone else, and that i of course must never let anyone know this how old was i when i stopped enjoying life because i cant remember at this point. five years since i effectively died and im still fucking here in the same pit, but now its got some fucking curtains or whatever, great whats the point of anything ill always be in this pit i cant even fucking see the sides stop asking me to claw my way up them i wanted therapy when i was thirteen because i felt so deeply there was something wrong but i couldn’t couldn’t couldn’t say so, so it all just fucking festered i don’t know why, i can’t remember how it felt to be thirteen, a decade ago is nearly half my life its a stupid reminisence maybe but cocamp at whatever age it was.. the hairdresser guy, he was so instrumental it feels so stupid and it felt so stupid to ask for but hair ‘cut like a boys’ that was monumental.
