I don't really like the fact that cheritz made a dlc for jumin's bad ending :(

I mean we already had to deal with players who just saw jumin as his bad ending and then they come up with this 😔

I'm actually kinda disappointed tbh💔

Like I'm excited for saeran's ae and jaehee's bday and I have always wished for a jumin dlc, but I didn't mean it like that... Now a lot more old and new players will misunderstand jumin's character and only view him as kinky and such :(

It is specifically meant as a bad ending DLC continuation, so I’d like to think that people will recognize it’s not his true ending or how he normally behaves simply because of that. The announcement also made vague mention of showing off Jaehee’s “dark side”, too, so if we get some Dark Jaehee DLC alongside the Dark Jumin story (it sounds like we might get a mini playable thing, rather than just one scene?) it might help underline that.

That said, it was never really that bad as bad endings go. It gets unfair criticism amongst the half of the fandom that doesn’t like it - especially those who use it as a weapon against Jumin - as people act like he’s kidnapped the MC and it’s not a consensual unsafe bdsm relationship. At least with the DLC, Jumin’s good name can be cleansed some by expanding it into what appears to be some weird kinky 50SoG-esque romance exploring a version of the romance where Jumin doesn’t quit or rededicate his life. (or it will go the opposite direction and make everything worse) And to be perfectly fair, Jumin is, undeniably, kinky. He’s just less ‘daddy master kink’ than certain parts of fandom thinks.

Personally I’d have preferred it to be BE1 we explored, but alas, fandom wants that pseudo-H content, of which I feel like it’s going to be very hard to really explore without pushing up the game rating if the DLC is of any decent length.

I do think, though, that if this DLC is popular it will be the doorway to other ones. Not a whole lot of those bad endings are as playable as Jumin’s first two bad ends, but there’s a few options out there to be the new ‘valentines day and after ending’ bonus contents for characters, and it opens the door to ‘alternate path’ DLCs. It could be a net positive, because the alternative is that Cheritz is going to be forced to give up on the game completely and move on to a new cashcow unrelated to Mysme entirely.

But if it isn’t, then....

Well.

Jumin’s gonna end up being ‘the only guy that bad ended so hard he got a whole DLC about it. And it was kinky.�� - that’ll be pretty unbearable dealing with fandom. Even if it would mean in a roundabout way that Jumin actually surpassed 707′s popularity in fandom.
