Do It Yourself

Discover new recipes for your creations: from the woodworking table, which now lets you use the fabrication skill to make metal objects, to the usual woodworking, knitting and fabrication skills.

I imagined this mod packs in the optics of playing challenges like Rags to Riches: there are so much more stuff you can now build including skills and craft related objects.

Pack Safe: This Mod Pack will mostly add new recipes to the existing crafting skills. If recipes are from packs you don't own, they simply won't be displayed.

Complementary Mods: Using my Castaway Life mod series, some recipes will require Wooden Planks.

Translations: English, French and Spanish. If you want other languages to be included, you can find the list of strings here for all my mods and send it back to me, I will try and include them at the next update.

Last Update: 12/16/24 - Updated the Core file to make Sleeping bags usable for crafting (the replacements got lost when I repackaged everything into multiple packages, sorry 🙈)

Next Project: More recipes for Knitting, reproducing paintings from game objects using the Easel and reproducing posters using the Digital Sketchpad.

This mod is required for some features from the following mods to work (adding text for the new ingredients categories, and making counters created through crafting placable)

Note that with the core mod installed, Sleeping Bags that can be used for crafting will appear as Custom Content, as I haven't been able to find a way to achieve that by an injection.

🛠️ Fabrication at the Woodworking Table

This mod allows you to raise and use your Fabrication skill with the Woodworking Table. Many of the recipes are related to metal based objects, and use Bits and Pieces as the regular Fabricator recipes.

It comes with a custom Craft in progress object, and uses some animations from the Robotics table (Discover University is not required, if you don't have it, animations won't be used)

It includes around 50 new recipes for existing items. At level 10, you will be able to build the regular Fabricator.

Required: Eco Lifestyle and Lot51 Core Library

Recommended: Discover University or any pack from which the added items are from, even if I tried to add base game recipes.

🪵 More Woodworks

This mod adds around 50 new recipes to the Woodworking Table (mostly furniture, but also some sculptures and instruments). At level 10, you will be able to build the Outrigger Canoe, I imagined it as being the final item to conclude a Castaway challenge, giving you the ability to leave your Island.

It also modifies the base interaction for starting crafting in order to display recipes as a list instead of options in a pie menu. This part will likely conflicts with other mods impacting woodworking.

Required: Lot51 Core Library

Recommended: Horse Ranch as many of the recipes come from there or any pack from which the added items are from.

This mod adds around 20 new recipes to the Fabricator (it's in fact more like 75 recipes as for many objects I added other colors options).

🧶 More Knits

This mod adds around 20 new recipes to the Yarn Basket, under a new entry in Knit Objects: Knit Furniture. There are currently some issues related to resuming a knitting project, so I refrained myself from adding too much recipes at the moment or adding objects that can't fit your Sim inventory, but that will be a project for later!

🫂 Interact in Tight Spaces

Currently in testing phase

This mod allow Sims to interact in tighter spaces. It should work with most interactions that would normally require Sims to have some space around them (like hugging or kissing, and even slow dancing, no more going outside for that !).

The good part is that this mod is very simple and won't require updates, as it's only modifying the footprint of some invisible objects that are used to determine where Sims can interact (and make them move somewhere else if there is not enough room.)

Keep in mind that it might cause some clipping on objects around them for interactions with wide-ranging movements, but nothing really bad 🤗

📸 Photography Improvements

This mod consists on three files, that provide improvement to the photography experience in-game:

DISL_Photography_InstantPhotoPhone.package: Adds an interaction from your Sim phone to take photos instantly instead of waiting for an interaction to run.

DISL_Photography_OverrideZoomSize.ts4scrpt: No matter the camera (or phone) used, you will always have access to the zoom slider and the different picture size when taking a photo.

PhotoCamera.ini: Replaces a file in your game folder (The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res) to extend the zooming and the pitch of the camera (thanks to TheSandwichMeat on Reddit for the tip!)

Tip : save a view while in TAB mode using CRTL + 6/7/8 or 9, and when in photo mode, click on 6/7/8 or 9 to get back to this view - it also works with easels when painting from reference !

🖼️ Background Replacements for Cupid Corner

A small overide that replaces the background used for randomly generated matches on Cupid Corner. I started that to remove the backgrounds related to Sixam & the Magic Realm, but I went overboard and finally decided to replace everything to feature lots & worlds I edited, and some lots from @simsontherope 😊

↕️ Shorter Teens

Currently in testing phase

This kind of mod has been done and redone, but it often comes with a lot of options and features, and I wanted to make something way simpler. Using a hidden height slider (modified from a slider initially by simmythesim I had for a long time) and a custom script, this mod makes all teenagers slightly shorter.

Their height is set every time they spawn in the world and when they grow up, so there is nothing you configure (you can use the cheat "set_height_all_sims" when first loading your save, but it's not even necessary).

Note that the height is not applied directly in CAS, you need to have your Sim loaded in live mode for the first time for it to apply.

🎙️ Sims Sessions Stage made usable

You can now use the Sims Sessions Stage outside the event when placed on a lot: place instruments on it and Sims are able to route to the instruments, and others can listen. Of course, as band are not a thing, no chance they play in sync, but at least that can be used for screenshots 😬 You can even set some light effects!

To find the stage, ad it's not available on the catalog, you can find it in a room on my gallery under EA ID Down-In-Simsland (the room is named Sims Sessions Stage) or here as a tray file.

extended phone calls

this mod adds over 500 notifications and 30 buffs to phone calls based on sims' relationships and age.

you call your friend:

 you call your sibling:

you call your wife/husband:

you call your girlfriend/boyfriend:

you call your parents:

there's a small chance of having an unpleasant conversation. this chance increases if you're talking to someone with traits like mean, hotheaded, or bully.

notifications are also distributed by age. children will receive unique notifications, and other sims will get specific notifications when calling children. there are also specific teenage notifications about admissions.

unique flirt notifications are also available if you own the "cupid's heart" expansion pack. through the "flirt" action on the phone, you can flirt with people outside of a relationship and receive new notifications and buffs.

there's a chance the person will tell you they don't want anything serious. this chance increases if the character has the noncommittal trait.

at night, long calls are possible only with partners. from 00:00 to 06:00, specific late-night notifications apply, with unique ones for parents and grandparents.

changed phone interactions include: "chat with...", "video call...", "chatty a family call with...", "flirt with..."

changes to the relationship panel interactions are: "chat", "chatty a family call", "flirt".

notifications and buffs are also added to incoming calls.

the mod will conflict with other mods that change calls in the game. for example, such as scumbumbo's call anytime. it is compatible with mods that add custom incoming calls or texts, such as 'connected sims' by adeepindigo, 'randomtexts' by kuttoe, and 'more send text variety' by tyjokr.

White Willow Memorial Hospital - Lite CC Version

Hello lovely people! A few people have reached out saying they wished to download the hospital build but didnt want to use that much CC. To try to make things easier for folks, I've uploaded a lite cc version. This build uses build/buy items from the game and the only CC used is PandaSama's Birth Mod CC (ultrasound machine and birthing ball). The only downside is that its pack heavy. I do hope this allows as many folks as possible to enjoy the build!

CHILDHOOD ATHLETICS CC PACK

A sporty themed cc pack for child sims!

There are 12 different mascot themes across 6 different sports you'd typically see in an American school including: Cheerleading, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer and P.E. . Your child sims can also show their school spirit with a hoodie or graduation themed shirt. If you're not into the colorful themes, there are also 7 plain swatches across all of the school mascot themed items. Some of these items also have some real life famous teams on them!

Smultron Pet Eyes

A default replacement eye in the same style as my Smultron Eyes for our furry friends. Includes the heterochromia option, of course. This set replaces the eyes for small dogs, big dogs, and cats of all life stages. I may make an override for the farm animals in the future, but as of right now I do not have any plans for it. The beautiful models in the image are by @pugowned on the gallery - highly recommend them for their fantastic animals.

Good to know:

Requires Cats & Dogs EP.

18 EA colors (default replacement), 9 for dogs & 9 for cats.

For all life stages (kitten/puppy - elder).

Heterochromia (secondary eye color) is included.

You can only have ONE set of default eyes in your game at a time, however you can have as many non-default eyes as you wish. The default eyes file will conflict with other default eyes.
