Compilation of headcanons about 6 in a romantic relationship.

I was struggling soooooo hard with another 6 request so I had to get this post out of my system fist before tackling that one

Okay, first of all! I don't see 6 as the type of person who would be that interested in having a relationship, at least not beyond what is expected of him as the leader of Apeiron. It's the least of his priorities as of now.

Part of it is largely due to his responsibilities--he knows that he cannot afford to show any sort of favoritism, and he is much too thoughtful to force someone he cares about under such pressure, simply because he harbors feelings for them. It's very ironic that the one thing that defines his entire life and existence is also what keeps him from seeking any deeper relationships. 6 knows more than anyone that the loneliness of his title would be extended to his partner, and so, he has no actual firsthand experience in romantic relationships other than what he might've studied while in reclusion.

Of course, this isn't to say that he's entirely inept when it comes to socializing or all sorts of relationships. He is the best at being 6 for a reason, as much as he dislikes it.

We know that he loves his people, if his devotion to his role of leader is anything to go by. And he clearly cares about his friendship with 210, 37 and Sophia, as strained or complex as these dynamics may be, as he makes sure to retrieve the crown that they made for him each and every day that it's stolen. He loved his aunt Alma too, she played a big role in his upbringing after all.

So 6 isn't a stranger to love, but he is very passive about it.

To describe 6 as "passive" could be seen as an insult, especially after what his character event showed us in relation to his struggle against fate, but I think there's a key difference to the passive nature that is presented between 6 prior to receiving the Revelation and after he settles in as the new leader. His initial lack of action was fueled by resignation, a fear for the inevitable fate his bloodline carries. But now, he knows that refusing to act is sometimes necessary to maintain the harmony within the island, this is why he's described as a mediator. Love can happen, but there's no reason to upset the precarious balance he maintains by indulging in romance.

On the subject of 6 developing a crush.

6 is an extremely introspective man with a very good grasp on his own feelings and thoughts--even more so now that he's obtained the Revelation! If he has a crush then trust me, he knows. He notices the fondness he has for you the moment those feelings start blooming in his chest.

And he's not going to do a single thing about it.

He's not going to act upon any of his feelings. He's not going to let anyone find out, for the sake of maintaining this perfect balance. His behaviour remains the same, no signs of being flustered whatsoever. There are no fleeting glances, no hands brushing on accident. Not a battle of attrition like the debates 210 insists on having, but a fair and honest discussion to give him proof and solid arguments that could help him ease into the idea of dating someone for love, rather than duty. Something like this would really ease 6's mind, being able to get to know you better through the way you defend yourself and the love you hold for him, as well as weighting the public's reaction. Two birds in one stone. If you manage to do that, then there's no reason for him to object.

I don't know what I like the most out of these options though, the idea of 6 choosing to give a proper confession in private to finally share everything he's kept to himself, so that you may accept all of him at his most honest and vulnerable. Or him not confessing, choosing to invite you to his study and enjoy a moment of respite in absolute silence, knowing that there's nothing keeping you two from being together. So whichever floats your boat!

When it comes to actually dating him, not much would change.

6 understands that there's been a considerable shift in his life, but his lack of experience and solitary lifestyle would lead him to continue with his routine--if you want to see him, then you'll have to seek him out like you've always done. He's more than content knowing you're aware of his feelings and wouldn't really seek to change anything else, so it's entirely up to you to communicate and discuss what you'd like out of this relationship. He'll be more than glad to listen and accomodate you as much as he can.

You taking the initiative in this might also fuel him to share the things he'd like to do! Again, this passive nature doesn't come from shyness, but duty. I can see him being open to anything and being very direct about his own needs, as long as he can continue to separate his personal life and time with you from his time outside and his responsibilities.

Overall, dating 6 is a very calm experience! He never got the chance to know himself without the pressure of the Revelation, but he enjoys getting to know you instead. While most of the time he simply asks you to sit with him and relax, he puts the effort into finding time to spend with you, even if it's just walking together from one place to another before both of you must tend to your respective duties.

On the subject of his partner not being from Apeiron.

The way I see it, 6 is a little more lenient with certain aspects--unlike 37, for example. I don't see her capable of being in a romantic relationship with an irrational number, and getting to trust someone from outside who isn't specifically aiming to adapt to the scriptures will take a long time, but 6 is a little more flexible under the proper circumstances.

I believe this is the case because of his Bond: Morning voice line!

...One should never parcel off the loaf, for it's a violation of the scripture. But we are not on the island. So, please enjoy the freedom.

So the moment this pressure of responsibility is lifted from his shoulders, I think he would be open to the possibility of his partner being literally anyone. Because of the Revelation, I don't think 6 is blinded by faith like other members of Apeiron are, if else he's burdened by the contradictions and paradoxes that are natural in the world.

Not sure how he would feel with a human partner though! Chapter 05 only says that humans and mankind as a whole are dismissed entirely as "imaginary numbers," forbidden on the island, and there's no specifics on how they feel about mixed arcanists.

This chapter is inspired by the omega Alisson-centric fic I'm sticking with you written by the gloriously talented @somethingchanged244. I love the dynamics between her Jurgen and Alisson. Please read it if you haven’t! The way she writes omega Alisson is perfection.

Ali has never harboured romantic feelings for any of his teammates before. Well, before Virgil that is. That is not to say he has never had a crush on someone on the team. Yes, our Ali might have a thing for his very alpha, very unattainable manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Just because Ali has a crush doesn’t mean he has done anything about it, or even intends to. His career is thriving and to throw it away because he thinks his alpha manager is hot is stupid. Ali is able to control himself, thank you very much. Besides, just imagining the mockery he (and Jurgen) will be subjected to if news of this ever gets out to the wrong ears is enough to put to bed any fantasies Ali has ever had about Jurgen.

It doesn’t stop Ali from indulging in extra long, extra tight hugs with the big German alpha though. He loves Jurgen’s scent. He once shyly requested for one of Jurgen’s jerseys under the guise of not wanting to wear his own goalie jersey for a celebratory party with the team, then conveniently forgot to return it. It’s in the back of his wardrobe. He doesn’t wear it or take it out because it would be really awkward and embarrassing to explain if anyone ever finds out.

Jurgen is very fond of Ali, perhaps a bit too fond. Jurgen is no fool and he is well aware of the consequences should he ever do anything about his feelings. The age difference and the power imbalance in their relationship effectively means he will always have to keep this to himself. Jurgen is old and he’s used to being alone. Ali is a young and beautiful omega who has plenty of opportunities to find a good alpha.

It is easy enough for Jurgen to tell himself that, because during his first few years at the club, Ali religiously takes his heat suppressants and scent blockers, and it is almost seems like the goalie is going to remain single and unmated for the rest of his life, or at least for his footballing career.

Then Virgil shows up for training one day smelling all kinds of besotted. The younger alpha is usually good at keeping his emotions from bleeding into his scent, but Jurgen is older and infinitely more experienced in the ways of alphas and omegas and their dynamics, and yep, there it is. It is also all too apparent who the omega who has caught Virgil’s eye is. His heart sinking, Jurgen watches as Virgil’s eyes follow Ali around the pitch, lingering as the omega leans forward to stretch out his hamstrings.

As a fellow alpha, Jurgen can acknowledge that Virgil is an extremely eligible alpha by any measure. If Virgil’s chosen omega had been anyone else, Jurgen would have said that the omega in question is a lucky omega indeed. But when it’s Ali? Jurgen isn’t too sure.

Perhaps it’s his bias talking, but Jurgen doesn’t trust that Virgil won’t break Ali’s heart. Ali has never been with an alpha as far as Jurgen knows. Is Virgil really going to treat Ali right? Is Virgil truly attracted to Ali for who the omega is, or is this some sort of strange attraction that developed by virtue of suddenly discovering that Ali is not a beta but an omega?

Jurgen might be shorter than Virgil, but damn, the German alpha can be hell of an intimidating presence when he wants to be. Of all the obstacles Virgil had imagined that would keep him from getting closer to Alisson, this hadn’t been one he had expected.

“I don’t want a fling, boss. I want a life partner. I will treat Ali right, and make him the happiest omega in the world.” Virgil is a footballer, has never been good with words, but he really wished he had studied harder in school now, so he could properly put to words how he feels about Alisson.

“I’m an alpha myself,” Jurgen’s eyes, usually kind and gentle, are uncharacteristically hard right now. “I know you believe what you are saying right now. But if you were truly serious about Ali, surely you would have came to this realisation years ago, even when you thought he was a beta. Alphas and betas can mate. It’s very common.”

“I don’t think it’s fair of you to say that,” Virgil says. Jurgen’s accusations are not sitting well with him, and the alpha in him is rattled – and angry. He forces it down, reminding himself that if he ever wants to convince Jurgen that he is fit to be Alisson’s alpha, he has to keep his emotions in check and not lash out like a stereotypical brainless alpha with no self-control.

“And yet you know it is true.”

Losing his temper definitely isn’t a good move. But that doesn’t mean Virgil just has to sit back and take this from the other alpha. There is truth in what Jurgen is saying, Virgil knows, but there can only be one reason why Jurgen is so adamant about Virgil backing off on Alisson. Alphas are only ever this possessive with their own chosen omega.

“With all due respect, boss, if you had wanted Ali for yourself, you should have made a move years ago.”

Jurgen’s eyes narrow. “Excuse me?”

“You heard what I said,” Virgil replies. “Look, Jurgen. I respect you, but if you are going to be coming down on me for not recognising my feelings for Ali much earlier, at least give me credit for doing something about it the moment I realised. It doesn’t reflect much better on you for harbouring feelings for Ali all these years and never once acting on them.”

Jurgen raises himself to his full height, and he might not be raising his voice, but Virgil knows he is pissed. “I never acted on them because it would only hurt Ali if the public knows he is in a relationship with his manager. I did it to protect him.”

“Didn’t do Ali much good though, when he is entirely reliant on suppressants to control his heats without an alpha by his side, and some sick bastard decided to steal his suppressants before the biggest game of his life.”

That is a low blow coming from Virgil, and Jurgen has to admit, it hurts. He has always felt terrible watching Alisson subject himself to increasingly strong dosages of heat suppressants every year, knowing that he could do something about it if he really desired, but held back by the fear of what society would think and say.

Virgil looks at him knowingly. “I am right, aren’t I? You don’t dare to step up and do what’s right to protect Ali. Or maybe you can’t, because of your position, I’m not here to judge. But I can do what you couldn’t. If you can’t be Ali’s alpha, why can’t another alpha step in?”

Jurgen is silent. He can’t deny the truth of Virgil’s words, and he hadn’t expected the younger alpha had it in him. Perhaps he had underestimated Virgil after all.

I’ve only hinted a few instances with the gang, the latest one has to be Gojo throwing popcorn to the front rows and getting kicked out hahaha that must’ve been very annoying.

And you’re not that off with your interpretation! Gojo is like the older brother that’s like always mocking you one way or the other, might get on your nerves, but he’s very attentive and will always defend you—But I wonder the kind of relationship he must’ve had with Ren, did Satoru enjoy being the younger brother in this situation? Considering his nature, I’m 100% sure he must’ve had a few arguments here and there, mainly on who is a better older brother to Y/N (Ren hated Satoru that day)

Now, everything that happened after Riko and Toji is very… delicate. He for sure had an overprotective rush come over him, since he kept seeing traces of her in Y/N. Both young and looking forward to the future ☹ I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, for Satoru, seeing a Zen’in (of all people) strip someone of their life (AGAIN, but under different circumstances) was really, really painful/infuriating to him. He’s the strongest, yet, he couldn’t be any more impotent. And then Geto ☹

But, moving onto Naoya 👀 He surely felt jealous, although it’s not how you believe hehe.

He certainly feels jealous over Gojo and the rest, but it’s different for each and every one of them.

For example, with Gojo, Geto and Nanami(?), his jealousy comes from their closeness to her. He doesn’t like anyone interacting with his wife, especially when he sees her being all happy and kind while he gets the cold shoulder! He wants to hoard all of her attention/recognition, but in a romantic partner kind of way. Y/N isn’t his rival at the end of the day.

That’s when Hinata steps in. Naoya absolutely loathes the fact that Hinata was kind of considered to be in the same level of Gojo? Whether because they were going to marry, or because of her technique, it doesn’t matter. Naoya hates it and he certainly believes that a woman like her shouldn’t be near the top, less to be considered as “one of them” (and I think many elders think so too, sexist pigs 😒) Naoya doesn’t consider her a rival, but he sure suffered when he lost that match during the sister exchange event 😂😂.

He doesn’t care about relationships with other clans, not when he thinks that his family is better. (Or so that’s what he believes, because he did have allot to say when Hinata and Satoru broke off their engagement lol) Besides, let’s not forget how Naoya was more than ready to kill Megumi, something that would’ve worsened their standing in the community, since the last was in good terms with Gojo and the Kamo heir. So yeah, he doesn’t give a shit 🙄

With his brothers, that’s a different story. Naoya believes himself to be better than them, so… it’s baffling for him to see you near them—worst of all, seemingly developing some kind of romantic feelings towards one of them (small reminder, Naoya does not know that Y/N has a crush on Naoaki. His mind was just pushing him to see things out of anger, but now that that cloud is gone… 😬)

He thinks of himself as the better version of all of them, and he can’t wrap his head around the fact that you’d choose someone beneath him. But it’s not all power and money 😒

And… his only interest would be Toji and Y/N, how they would get along and all that stuff. I think he’d be sad/disappointed that Y/N doesn’t get along with the man he admires so much, but jealousy would still creep if she did manage to get along with him lol Oh, who understands this confusing man 😂

Anyway, TLDR; He doesn’t really care about Y/N’s relationship with Gojo… until he does :> But that’s something we’ll see later on in the story hehe.

He’s glad that Hinata’s engagement was over because it gave him the opportunity to marry Y/N (there was an agreement that Hinata would do whatever the elders wanted her to do with the Gojo clan, as long as Y/N was out of their political games), even if it meant permanently severing the ties with said clan. (Thus, not caring for the Gojo-Zen’in interaction)

And the only one that would get a pass would be Toji, but with exceptions. (now that I think about it, Naoya would be very close to be considered a cuck LMAO as long as his wife treats him dearly, he’s willing to let her do things with other people ahahahhaahhahahahahahah take this with a grain of salt)
