I like bottom Alastor well enough but I strongly dislike people 'proving' Alastor is a bottom by pointing out feminine traits or mannerisms. There's lots of reasons alastor can bottom and none of them are "He sits like a girl and has long hair"

(This isn't about you but something I saw in the tags and it's just recycled gender roles)

Yeeeeah, I definitely don't like that. A character doesn't have to be feminine or have feminine traits to be a bottom - its very icky to me. It reeks of stereotypical heteronormative romance, which makes me break out in hives.

Besides, there's no real way to "prove" someone is a bottom, top, or switch. There is no set of rules or qualities a character has to have to be assigned one or the other, it all comes down to what the fan wants them to be. Trying to fit it into a "this one is the masculine one so they top" and "this one is the feminine one so they bottom" box is just....weird. For obvious reasons.
