I'd like to thank the women of the Olympics for making me care about sports for two weeks. Julien Alfred? Ilona Maher? Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and her amazing hair? Kim Ye-Ji? Sha'Carri Richardson? Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi? Imane Khelif? BGirl Nicka, 671, Ami, India, etc etc etc? The Olympics are for the GIRLS. I learned more about rugby this week than I'd ever thought I would. I became an expert in diving. I started wondering if I should take up climbing. I can't believe I'm even considered the same species as these women.

I loved seeing everyone looking how they wanted to, with tattoos and hair done and nail extensions and rhinestones and lipstick. The Olympics is such a conformist organization, it was so cool to see where women found ways to work their personalities into their sports.

💛 if you could talk to your younger self, what would you say? 

nothing that you are crying about right now will mean to you when you grow up. there is so much to life than not being able to buy that giant teddy bear you’ve always wanted, there is more to life than not having your favorite show end the way you want it to. but hold on to the snippets of lessons life give you - weed out the unnecessary pain and hold on to the lessons it leaves. within the span of five years you will go through what may be the hardest and the saddest point of your life but don’t worry….you’ll pull through. you’ll survive. things will be better :)))

🌻 if you could change 3 things about the world what would you change? 

there is only one thing i could think of right now actually and that is envy. if only we could eradicate envy in the hearts of people. if only we could be happy - genuinely happy - for the success of our friends and the people around us. if only we could spread more kindness and less of jealousy. then i think this world might be more of a better place to live in.

Request: HAI MADDI 💖💖 So ok I saw you opened requests again and I was hoping I could request kissing hcs with Tendou and Tanaka? (I've never seen anyone do any with Tendou and I'm love him 🥺 And I'm soft for Tanaka rn, I love him sm) If you're good with writing them ofc and no rush at all!! Thanks babes, ily!

Notes: i usually do not simp over these two, but my god.  I have never been more soft for tanaka ryunosuke in my life

Tendou Satori:

Tendou Satori has never kissed a soul before in his entire life and no one will ever convince me otherwise.  Boy hasn’t even had a s/o before you.

But, despite that?? Tendou wasn’t really nervous about his first kiss with you?  I mean, it made him panic a little, because he wanted it to be something that you would remember with good memories, but he really cared about you and he was sure that you felt the same way about him.

That first kiss was so damn awkward.  And it was literally for no other reason than the fact that he’s really tall.  He had to lean down really far to give you the kiss and even then, you were still on your toes.

And most of your future kisses happened like that for a long long while.  He was always bending over and you would place your hands on his shoulders to help you reach him easier just to give you a short kiss, because that was all either of you could manage before the position got uncomfy.

He did finally figure out the best way to kiss you though 

The next time that you stood up on your toes, trying to tug him down for a kiss, Tendou just wrapped his arms around you, lifting you up to be level with him.  It was the first time that your kiss was a little more than just a short peck to the lips. 

That’s how he always kisses you know

He just lifts you up and lets you secure your legs around him if you’d like and he’ll plant a kiss to your lips, pulling away only to bury his face in your neck.  Sometimes, he’ll just rest there, but sometimes he’ll place really lazy kisses right against your skin, nuzzling his nose against you, telling you how happy he is to be with you.

Tendou will tease you on occasion, especially if you’re being kind of whiney for a kiss.  He’ll just shake his head and sigh real big.

“Does my bunny want a kiss that badly?  Well, come here, then.”

And he’ll just hold out his arms for you, ready to lift you up.  He’ll ask you how many you want and he’ll plant kisses all over your face while he counts down, number one being placed on your lips. 

He really likes it if you hold his face while you kiss him.  Just the feeling of your hand pressed against his cheek fills his heart with such a surge of warmth and he’s so happy.  You can always feel him smiling into the kiss, especially if you run your thumbs over his cheeks.

Tanaka Ryunosuke

Tanaka always tried to play it cool, acting like kissing you was going to be the god damn easiest thing in the world.  

But Nishinoya knows the truth.  Nishinoya knows just how nervous he is and just how much Ryu has been stressing about this moment.  He’s afraid that he’ll mess up.  What if he misses your mouth?  What if you don’t want to kiss him?  What if he tries to go in for another kiss and you tell him to take a mint first?

Leave it to Nishinoya to hype him the fuck up though.  Right before Tanaka was going to go kiss you for the first time, Nishinoya checked his breath, gave him a small pep talk, and told him, “You better call me later and tell me how it goes!”

You really should’ve known something was up when Tanaka approaches you blushing like mad, but he stops in front of you, eyes darting from your face to the ground and then back to you.

“Can I- Can I kiss you?”

YES HE ASKS

TANAKA DRINKS THAT RESPECT WOMEN JUICE WHAT ABOUT IT

How can you not love him?

Any way.  He’s so gentle oh my god.  You were fully expecting him to slam his lips against yours in a teeth-clashing kiss, but no-

He holds your chin in one hand, placing the other that the back of your neck, slowly pulling you into him, maintaining eye contact with this really shy smile on his face, up until the moment just feels right for him to close his eyes and-

Oh my god he’s kissing you O H M Y G O D 

It’s really soft and gentle, kinda awkward because he doesn’t really know what he’s doing?? But the way he’s holding you really makes up for it 

And all of your kisses are like that!  They all have that soft, romantic energy like that very first one.

Tanaka will never admit it to you, but he loves when you put your hands on his chest when you guys kiss.  If you run your hands over his muscles or even scrunch up his shirt?  He probably forgot how to breath.  

He likes to pull you flush against him, because there’s nothing that he loves more than feeling his angel against him, and he always pushes your hair from your face or will tuck it behind your ear if it’s long enough before leaning down to give you these incredible kisses that make you never want to kiss another person, because Tanaka really does pour every ounce of love that he has for you into each kiss
