i think that a majority of the locals don't really suspect that the reader is messing around with the priest (they idolize him + see him as a nonsexual figure), but they do look down on her b/c of her visible promiscuity (i.e. the hickies and etc.)

they might notice her wearing shorter skirts to services, and crossing her legs/squeezing her thighs together incessantly throughout his sermons. someone might even catch a glimpse of soft bruises and red handprints on her ass after she bends over to pick something up in front of them the day after mass. and they're like omg? what is this young lady getting herself into? and who in this town could stand to do such vile, obscene things to her body? (as if it's not their precious priest)

i dont think they see each other outside of services/the church b/c they dont want to risk drawing attention to their "special, secret relationship". but! he does give her his phone number and she calls him sometimes when she thinks too much about him and gets wet :( he has talked the reader through touching herself on multiple occasions. tons of verbally guided masturbation over the phone as she lays on her bed, her hand between her legs, with an opened bible next to her. yeah.

he had gifted her that bible after the second time they had sex. not necessarily to indoctrinate her into the religion, but to give her a representation of something that was important to him. it was his subtle way of trying to connect with her. but it kinda backfired b/c now she gets hot and flushed when she reads the words "God" and "peace" and "faith". he basically pavlov's dog'd her. classically conditioned.

because she lost her virginity to him, she's definitely very attached. she tells him that she isn't, but its a total lie and he knows it too. she gets jealous when women, young or old (doesn't matter), come up to him after services all smiley and ready to talk to him about their problems. reader usually gets red in the face and pouts in the back pew as she watches their interactions closely. she worries a lot that she isn't the only person in the town that the priest is intimate with, but she is. he's fairly attached to her too. and because she's a pretty young woman, divorced dads and older teen boys will often try to flirt with her before the priest's regularly scheduled homily, and he has to gather all the restraint in his body not to insert himself between you and them.

Do you want the canonical answer or the answer we all know in our hearts to be true? While there are instances in canon of other things (octokittens) biting Jonny, there is no evidence of his biting someone (at least, not while they're still alive-- he does eat people). In fact, the crew claims that they, collectively, don't bite, even if "other forms of assault are fair game." Of course, they may be lying, as they do about most things.

How did you come up with roleswap Elfilis' design? It's really cool!

Hi! Thank you so much! :D I'd love to share my thought process! Gather round the armchair by the fireplace, friends! It's story time!

I've said before that the Forgotten Land Roleswap started off as a doodle that swapped Dedede and Bandana Dee's roles as Player 2 and the Brainwashed Beast. But when I realized how fun that one little change was, how about EVEN MORE changes? That's how my one-time doodle turned into the full AU story. I swapped Meta Knight and Kirby, Clawroline and Leongar, and Sillydillo and Gorimondo- and because the story is so Waddle-Dee centric, I promoted Dedede to "Player 1" since the stakes would be higher for him as their King.

So now I had a story that had a lot of opposite traits to canon and I wanted to explore that further! When it came to the matter of Elfilin, I thought he would probably behave too similarly towards Dedede and Meta as he did to Kirby and Bandee. He'd be friendly and trusting, communicative, optimistic, knowledgeable, and cooperative. So how about providing them a travel companion who is defensive, has trouble communicating, a little wild, uninformed about themselves and the world around them, and has a bit of a temper?

But working with all these opposite traits didn't feel in-character for Elfilin anymore. So my natural next step was to swap Elfilin with Elfilis and make a new version of the Forgotten Land's lost little pup!

Enough yapping about the context behind my decisions, tho. How'd I come up with Roleswap Elfilis' design?

I see you out there, Fecto Forgo fans. Maybe somebody out there's thought, "Roleswap Elfilis does not look like them! Why not? That's what the other 50% of the Ultimate Life Form looks like! I demand justice for the angry glowing rat fetus!"

Maybe nobody has ever thought this. But I wonder sometimes lol

Your feelings are valid, friends. Please lemme explain my reasonings.

This fella, to me, is the abandoned wet specimen left to float in a jar for who-knows-how-long after a forcible physical and mental separation via spatial teleportation shenanigans. And I think part of their appearance is due to their role as the trapped and forgotten half.

The role of the half that got away fully formed his own body and inherited some traits from the complete being-

For Elfilin in canon, he got ears that are proportionally huge compared to the rest of his body, blue eyes that sparkle with the light of a thousand destroyed planets, a tiny bit of pink fur for his adorable blushies, and a really long fluffy tail. Maybe becoming a being free of chaos gave him those sweet eyes like Kirby and the Waddle Dees have.

My reasoning is that whichever half ends up escaping the Lab and fully forming their own body, they would carry the major physical traits the other wouldn't inherit.

Anyway, that left Elfilis with the horns, colorful and expressive eyes, whiskers, beige chest fluff, opposable thumbs, and pink tummy fur.

Elfilin gets the long tail in the bodily divorce so Elfilis has a short stubby little cotton tail like a bunny. Like if he ended up with just the very tip of the Ultimate Life Form's tail.

Behold this diagram above I came up with two years ago! Disclaimer: the canon Elfilin is the one in the chart. And I draw him a little differently these days lol. I ain't showing anyone how he ended up in the Roleswap yet tho!!!! >:0

But Roleswap Elfilis is more than just "baby version of the Ultimate Life Form..."

All the differences in the Forgotten Land Roleswap from canon stem from one event in the timeline. One change that I added to the events that were already supposed to take place. It's why the Ultimate Life Form split differently. Why the Beasts have different roles and aesthetics. Even why the portal took Bandana Dee and Kirby before Meta Knight and King Dedede.

How did that saying go again? The flap of wings somewhere can influence a bunch of huge changes somewhere else down the line...? What was the name of that theory again....? Hmm. Not important, I guess.

niku’s gojo in general is one of my favorites ever ever ever but i’m specifically adding a link to bten because . bten lives in my brain <3 and i adore both bten!reader & bten!gojo more than anything….. ANYWAY . niku’s gojo is my favorite for many reasons but above all else he just…. feels so real to me . sometimes i have to remind myself that i’m reading a fic and not canon content bc her gojo just FEELS like gojo . it’s a little scary. i read bten and heard kaiji tang’s voice in my ear 😭 i think it’s sooo difficult to capture the balance that canon!gojo has, but niku does it so effortlessly!!! he’s so charming and guarded and annoying and kind beneath it all and i’m just….. in love with him . that’s all. i do want to strangle him just a tiny bit but mostly i want to kiss him.

sel’s col!gojo…. my baby my husband the loml. i adoreeeee sel’s take on gojo and the way he views/approaches love ….. and just like niku her gojo feels so real and so grounded!!!! sel has a way of rounding out her characters and making them feel so human, which i. adore. and it works so well with gojo. col!gojo is canon to me idc. he’s so relatable to me and following his story with col!reader was just so touching 🥹🥹 i . cried . every time he blushed or got flustered i fell to my knees . flustered gojo is really hard to get right i think??? bc it’s just….. such a rare mood from him. but it feels so perfect in her fics. col!gojo reminds me of a plant in the softest, most loving way and i just want him to grow and embrace the sun !!!!!!!! i want him to be happy….

another general pick; alexis’s gojo!!!!!! (link goes straight to my personal fav which is a very bold statement to make but i think abt this fic constantly)…. this is another gojo that just feels. so canon to me somehow???? every time i read her gojo fics i’m just like yeah…. that’s gojo satoru. that’s the gojo satoru that i love and adore. it always reminds me of WHY i love him sm and it’s just….. such a wonderful feeling yk??? alexis rlly captures what i perceive as the core of his character!!!!! i can’t tell you what it is exactly but i feel that so strongly!!!!! he’s my baby and i love him so so bad. he makes me so happy and he feels so human:((((( i just love him…. him and his self-destructive little habits….. also special shoutout to idol!gojo bc he’s just soo. yeah.

Why do you ship Sans x Frisk? As a person who ships them myself, what do you see in them, like about them? Personality traits, situations, tropes etc, anything that comes to mind, what makes you enjoy them and continue to breathe life to them?

Okay so uh this is pretty hard to answer in a way that precisely expresses what's in my head in words ngl so the short to the point answer would be that...I play the game. I get to Snowdin. I get to the point where we meet Sans. I put the Frisk sprite next to Sans sprite. I go:

Yeah I don't know. Maybe they're 2 of my favourite characters. I just really liked seeing these 2 characters together. First it was the character design appearance that pulled me in. They just look good together in my eyes. Then I studied more of these characters individually and I was like, what if they're together? 👀 hohoho the potential :]

For me, Frans is like- something something "We have burdens and secrets that no one but the two of us knows and it's killing me on the inside. So let us share these burdens between us and find comfort in each other. It's okay as long as we're together. I'll be here for you. Please comfort me" something something

Oooh hoo! I'm actually making them explore their love languages in the fic I'm writing right LMAO.

But yeah! I'll share some of my brain thoughts!!

Their love languages:

Lucifer's Lover Language: Gift Giving (he likes creating things, especially if he has someone specific in mind because that's when its got the most heart and effort in it, and people accepting his gifts and genuinely liking them mean the absolute word to him), Words of Affirmation (sometimes he just needs some affirmation, you know? Sometimes he needs to be told he's doing a good job), and Physical Touch (likes the closeness and intimacy of it, whether its cuddling, sex, or just holding hands).

Alastor's Love Language: Acts of Service (he shows his love by doing things for you, be it home cooked meals, picking up a few things for you, or killing someone. It's all in the name of love, baby!), Words of Affirmation (give him compliments. He needs them like air. if there's any stroking going on, it's going to be strokes to his ego), and Quality Time (arranged quality time, to be specific. I feel like he wouldn't like people popping up on him out of nowhere and dragging him off. Well, unless you're Rosie, maybe. Anyway, sometimes it's just being in his own room, doing his own thing, in the companionship of Lucifer's company. They can talk and argue and banter, but companionable silence is good too.)

Who cooks for the other?

Alastor.

Alastor def cooks for Lucifer when he actually enjoys being in his presence. He knows a lot of home-cooked meals, as well as a variety of desserts and sweets (even if he, personally, doesn't like sweet things). Some of it is because he enjoys cooking for people he likes, and some of it is just because it's a fun hobby to him. He likes learning how to cook new recipes, even if he might not like that recipe himself.

I think Lucifer knows how to cook. Maybe nothing extravagant or super complicated, but he can make a good dish. As soon as Charlie moved out, he kind of fell out of it, though. Anything he made for himself was Hell's equivalent of a microwaveable dinner. He just did not have the motivation, energy, or mental/emotional capacity to put a lot of effort into himself. He really enjoyed cooking things for Charlie, and I actually think he'd tried to cook Alastor's favorite dish as a surprise for him (for their anniversary, or an in-house date night, or just as a random act of love, because I feel like Lucifer would do a lot of spur-of-the-moment, random acts of love).

Have they ever considered sleeping in the same bed?

They did, eventually, when their relationship got to the point they felt comfortable doing that. Alastor likes his space, and he doesn't like people intruding on it. His room is his comfort zone. He doesn't mind physical touch, but it needs to be on his own terms. Sometimes, he's okay with cuddling up next to Lucifer, and sometimes he just needs his space while he's sleeping.

Lucifer can still be in the bed, he's just gotta stay on his side.

Lucifer, on the other hand, is a big cuddler. He's incredibly touch-starved from being on his own for so long, so he'll take the physical touch he can get. Alastor can recognize when Lucifer needs more physical touch, and he'll offer it so long as he's also mentally able to as well.

The more they get used to each other's presence, the more Alastor is open to Lucifer sleeping in the same bed with him, and indulging in physical contact. Lucifer is patient, and if Alastor wants him to stay on his side of the bed one night, he's fine with that. He'll get his cuddles again, eventually.

What would they bond over?

How bad modern television/entertainment is. It's all quantity over quality. There's rarely any real passion put into it. It's all to make as much money as possible, without putting life into the story.

Alastor is an entertainer. As a radio host, all he had to keep a captive audience was his voice and whatever other sounds he decided to use. It's all audio. And he has passion for entertainment. It needs flair! Drama! Charm!

All the modern stuff just feels so bland and lazy (and maybe he's a little too harsh on it sometimes. Even if he comes across something he actually likes, he'll NEVER admit it).

Lucifer just wants something good to watch, but anything he put on just didn't hit it for him. Sometimes, just sitting on the couch for hours watching cash-grab movies/shows made him feel even worse about himself, and creating ducks at least gave him some enjoyment, so he turned to that.

He doesn't have as much vehemence for modern entertainment as Alastor. If he finds something he likes, he'll happily watch it (much to Alastor dismay). But he rarely finds anything that REALLY intrigues him, so he just doesn't go searching for it very often.

I also think they would bond over their respective hobbies. Lucifer likes making and collecting ducks. Alastor likes collecting furbies. They go hobby shopping together. Alastor rearranges and dusts off his furbies, while Lucifer creates his ducks. They co-play.

Additional headcanons (some of which you guys might already know!):

Alastor Bottoms and Lucifer Tops (In this specific relationship. Lucifer, himself, is a switch (which is canon!), but Alastor doesn't like topping- or inserting any part of himself into someone else. It's icks him out. He's okay with taking on a more passive bottom role. He might be convinced to Top, maybe, but it rarely ever happens).

Alastor is sex neutral, in the way that he's okay with having sex when he feels up to it, but he's also totally fine with not having it at all (Except when Lucifer goes demon mode in bed, because he has a power kink, and he is ALL for that. It's the only time he'll be an active bottom during sex).

Lucifer has a very high libido. It dropped a lot in the 7 years that he isolated himself in his palace (and because of depression. Depression definitely had a hand in that too), but as he starts getting into a better mind space and getting the mental-health help he needs, his libido comes back full force. He'll never push Alastor into doing anything, and he's okay with taking care of his sexual needs on his own, he's just a very, very horny man. He loves the intimacy, closeness, and pleasure that comes with sex, and loves sharing that with his partner. It's very important to him. It took a while for Alastor to really understand WHY sex is so important to Lucifer, as it doesn't really make sense to him, but once he did, he tries to be more active when they do have sex - or more proactive in initiating it (of course, only when he wants to, because you shouldn't force yourself to have sex with your partner!)

Alastor and Lucifer argue about the stupidest, most random, most insignificant things. It'll lead to full on shouting matches, and then 10 minutes later, they're chilling on the couch like nothing happened at all. They argue for the sake of arguing. The more heated, the better.

Annnd, that's all I have time for right now, but I do have more headcanons tumbling around in my head. Many thoughts.

What are ur least favourite common plot holes

idk I'm not cinema sins so I don't really keep a list, but from off the top of my head:

there's a mega powerhouse religion controlling every aspect of society except no one actually seems to believe in that religion like at all. we just let them be in charge for kicks I guess.

a newborn is miraculously kept alive without breast milk or a functional substitute

society is very very sexist I promise but this female character just does and says whatever she wants with no repercussions. the other girls don't act like this only because they are stupid sheep

warrior society where everybody is a warrior. they all fight and kill each other all the time. (optional: they are cool and very sexy but it's still sooooo dangerous). somehow these people are managing to be a powerful and long-lasting society. there are so many of them, even though they kill each other all the time.

a character just happens to keep extremely important/relevant information from the protagonist until the right plot moment because they just "never asked"

I need to keep my special secret from my loved ones to protect them from danger, even when they are consistently shown to be endangered precisely by their lack of information

idk if these even count as plot holes though. I genuinely cannot envision Barb being into a single thing that Cooper doesn't at least go along with, honestly. We see that he's clearly a very accommodating partner; he loves her so much and would do anything to see her happy and satisfied, including engage in some kinks that aren't necessarily his thing. Seeing her all worked up and turned on because he's going along with what she wants is more than enough reward for him. Somewhat of a side note: I see Barb as a person who is fairly vanilla, but might be into some sadomasochism/pain play (both giving and receiving) as a way to blow off steam. She's the kind of person who thrives under pressure, but would have some kind of "vice" she uses in secret to deal with the stress. Does she not seem like she'd be a really good, forceful, mean domme?

I think if something she requested truly put him off (for example, if she wanted him to really hurt her physically, I don't think he'd go along with it) he wouldn't have any problem communicating that, but I think he'd also be open to finding some way around his discomfort. Maybe they try an adapted version of whatever it is, or they watch porn of it and he takes care of her. More than anything, Barb enjoys consistency, and she enjoys having control. Coop enjoys seeing Barb happy, first and foremost; his specific preferences don't necessarily matter to him as much as her happiness and satisfaction.

Besides...the few times he tried to sort of experiment with things he'd been keeping close to the chest, she didn't react very warmly.

Cooper, in my mind, leans more towards the "sexually exploratory" side of the spectrum. Barb's fond of a bit of a routine when it comes to getting busy, unless she's had a really bad day, but you get this man even a little too horny or intoxicated and he's pulling stunts like trying to suck your toes (a mistake he only made with her once...she accidentally kicked him in the nose in response and nearly broke it) or trying to drag you out onto the balcony to bend you over so the whole neighborhood can hear/watch him fuck you. Things like this are just not her style, and once he's felt that out about her, he generally doesn't even bring them up. No need to make her feel guilty/uncomfortable, and no need to make himself feel ostracized for what turns him on when it doesn't hurt anyone.

They also joke through much of their marriage about his affection for bringing his lasso into the bedroom. Barb isn't much of a fan of being tied up, herself, but she humors him from time to time and plays damsel to make him happy. She's very fond, however, of tying him up, once he teaches her the knots.

I think the divorce (as well as the knowledge that the looming threat of nuclear devastation is much more real than most people know) would reshape Cooper's outlook on a lot of things, including dating and sex. I've discussed how he wouldn't necessarily be looking to date, but if he met the right person...we know he's such a lover boy. There's no way he wouldn't find love again if someone kind and compatible came along.

And, frankly, I think sexual compatibility would be a large part of that spark with a new partner. I think he'd want someone who wouldn't shy away from how he expresses his love and attraction, physically, someone who wouldn't shame him for his desires. You may not know some of the things he wants to do even exist, but he's patient. Why shouldn't he do things on a whim when the two of you are taking one another apart? If the world might end tomorrow, why shouldn't he try the things he's always secretly fantasized about?

oh boy. anon, here is where i come clean about my shoddy recollection of canon’s chronology. i’ve done so many fragmented rewatches and skipping back and forth—there’s a reason i rarely dabble with canon-adjacent stuff! and that even when i do, i create worlds where Lena figures it out herself! 

second road bump to answering this question is that i have a LOT of feelings about how things played out on the show, and most of them are incongruent with the tone of sgcw. i understand their narrative reasons for keeping the secret from Lena for so long! but the execution is so, so terrible! ignoring large swathes of canon and replacing them with my own is the only way i’m able to enjoy at least the last tiny handful of seasons!

here is where i spend an hour procrastinating from my WIPs, while not successfully answering your question at all:

to be perfectly clear: i adore most parts of canon Kara. and i think i may be hard on her in ways i wouldn't be if i didn’t relate to her so much. i think her backstory is extremely compelling and i admire her ability to hold on to her kindness and hope and joy even after losing everything that was important to her, even when she’s tired and lonely and mad. 

BUT. a healthy Lena—one who we were made to believe was finally freeing herself from Lex and Lillian, rising above the coping mechanisms she’d developed as an unwanted and emotionally neglected child? i don’t think that Lena would (should?) have forgiven canon Kara at all.

after the rift, canon Kara flitted between telling Lena she’d lied to her ‘to protect you’ to ‘one person who sees me only as Kara’ to ‘your last name’ to ‘didn’t want to lose you’ until she literally told Lena she was on her own, and she’d treat her like any other villain until Lena repented, even rejecting her apology at first, as if Kara’s own decisions had played no part in Lena’s downward spiral at all.

the Kara Lena would have forgiven is the much more cohesive and coherent Kara brought to us by our talented fix-it writers: a Kara who is willing to let herself be vulnerable and to second-guess her motivations, one who is able to put together a proper apology and actually listen to Lena's own. 

but, okay, lets table all of that. this is me trying really, really hard to entertain canon:

Kara and Lena’s friendship became painfully lopsided by season 3. i think that was, if i recall correctly, when the super-friends decided to trust Lena enough to regularly ask her for assistance—but not enough to let her be part of their in-group; it’s where they left Lena in the dark about the fact that her best friend had come close to plunging to her death right in front of Lena's eyes, and was actively still fighting for her life; where they tricked Lena into having an extremely personal conversation with J’onn, while he was wearing Kara’s features, only to make belly-laughing fun of her about it later. 

and even then, honestly, it might already have been too late. what about the aftermath of Jack’s death? was that season 2? Jack was Lena’s ex-everything, someone who genuinely loved her, who saw her through the fallout of Lex’s arrest. he was one of her last remaining friends, and Lena pressed the button to let him die in order to save Supergirl’s life. how would Lena knowing that Kara went through that with her, knowing Lena had chosen to save the life of her favorite person in addition to National City’s hero, have changed the way she felt about that horrible situation? that’s where that extremely wonderful heart-to-heart on the L-Corp couch happened, right? Kara swore she’d always be Lena’s friend—while keeping silent about the fact that she was there when Jack drew his last breath, that she had witnessed their final moments.

so—i really can’t tell you anon, i’m so sorry. the 100th episode already fabricated reasons why Kara couldn’t possibly come clean to Lena back when she made the conscious decision to be her friend (and not in a ‘keep your enemies close’ kind of way!), and i’m beginning to think that was the only moment Kara could have told Lena that would have kept her conscience completely clear. Kara should have made it part of her decision—either she was going to be Lena’s friend and give her the same trust Lena was giving her, or she would keep things professional, and keep her identity a secret from her. 

Kara tried to do both, and if i really think about it, i don’t believe that was ever fair.

this might be a hot take i’m not sure…. but i do very much think that any ‘competitions of love’ between satoru and suguru would end with satoru respectfully yielding. like. let’s say they’re in high school and bickering over their shared crush — they’re gonna try to woo you, gonna try to show each other up, but i think that the moment their feelings for you become a little more “real” satoru will be the one taking a step back. partially because it scares him a little, mostly because he’d prefer to see you and suguru happy than just being happy with you alone .

To be honest, with all of the more romantic relationships (save solauri) Dian would probably be envious. He might even actively avoid the couple, only interacting with the duo when they're not in the same place, because it hurts too much to see them together and happy. With Aegaeon (@paradisedisconcert) and Saachi (@starry-skiez), he's relieved that Aegaeon has someone to even her out and they seem to love each other fervently, so he's happy for them. Aurien (@aurienneirua) and Solei (@solei-eclipse), he mostly just thinks of them as both of his friends who happen to be close to each other, too! He's just happy that his friends like each other. This is true with Himei and Tallis (@lookatmysillies) as well but he knows for sure that they love each other romantically which means he kind of avoids them when they're doing lovey-dovey stuff. Flor and Rosca (@sotogalmo), Akane (@aakaneeee) and Naz, Tallis and Himei, as well as Castor and Kyo, those are the ones he's more envious of. He's happy to interact with any of them individually but he avoids them when they're together lmao

Nyx is a little more complicated, admittedly. Aegaeon and Saachi, he could've give a rat's ass about, he doesn't really care because he's not close to either and tbh he gets into fights with Aegaeon sometimes so he really doesn't care about her romantic entanglements. Aurien and Solei, well, he thinks they're very funny because Aurien is so head-over-heels for Solei and Solei has no fucking idea. He knows that Solei will treat Aurien well if they ever actually do anything about their relationship (and even if it's never romantic, Solei treats Aurien well) so he has no qualms with it. He's on the fence about Flor and Rosca just because the balance seems uneven, the power of their dynamic skewing more towards Rosca than Flor, but he doesn't think it's his place to comment on any of that. With Akane and Naz, he doesn't really care, he's just kind of distantly happy for them, because he doesn't really know them. With Tallis and Himei, he's just unequivocally happy for them. He loves them both and he's grateful that they have each other.

Now, Cas and Kyo on the other hand, hoo boy, uh, Nyx has very complicated feelings about them. He loves both of them dearly and he wants them to be happy, more than anything else. If they're happy together, then, that should be great, right? But at the same time, Nyx had a crush on Kyo for a while and also Cas can be kind of weird about emotions (Nyx knows this, after many years of experience with him) so Nyx is honestly on the fence about them. He knows they love each other. He's happy for them. He's not happy about them being together. He's all torn up about it, worried and jealous, ugly feelings that he hates. I know that, in the modern AU, he gets weird about it when they get together and they have to have some kind of intervention with him, sitting him down and being like "hey wtf?" but in canon I think they either don't talk about it and Nyx gets over it or they do talk about it but it doesn't actually resolve anything.
