Cross X Lust was Not on my bingo board of things I'd draw, but the combo just settled in my head and felt Super Right and I got to sketching and realized I really liked their energy and just... didn't stop drawing! Thank you SO MUCH for the request! (They give me the vibes of Cross being the one who insists on being chivalrous and very protective, while Lust gets some freedom to relax and be himself and get pampered a bit! admittedly I haven't loved the mixing for this new era of songs so far (its acceptable but I have some critiques) but I'm still so happy to have this proper recording. I went to a concert when they were touring almost a year ago now and scars was my favorite of the not-yet-released songs when I first heard it

yeah!!! it's not exactly random because there's little bites of violin through the rest of the song from that point. i think of it as the violin's dramatic entrance. also i am the #17 crane wives violin fan and i keep replaying that beat before the third verse with the sting. it's just. they took a song i already loved and added violin. i'm not well.

Witch Eclipse's worst fear is being replaced-he was raised with the purpose of being the guardian of the star, only to find out his father had another son who he spent more time and effort with and who Eclipse believed he favored. He became extremely paranoid, fearing that KC would choose the other over him, and that led to his worst memory-a fallout with KC, worse than their usual arguments. Not two days later, Eclipse woke up to a cabin completely empty with no sign of KC. He waited for a day, then a week, then two, then a month, then a year and so on and so for with no hint of return. His assumption was that KC chose the other to wield the star and left him behind, and so he dedicates the rest of his life to becoming the star's guardian one way or another and proving to KC that he was the 'right' choice and not the second to boot.

Dentist Eclipse is never really not struggling (ehehe inner turmoil), but it usually isn't too bad. Hallucinations aren't terribly common, only when he's low on charge or hasn't slept in a while (Eclipses pull all-nighters in every dimension, it would seem), though sometimes the pattern will deviate from its norm. The biggest thing he's had to get used to is the silence in his head; though Solar Flare wasn't really much of a talker, his presence in the forefront of their headspace was enough. Eclipse hasn't ever had his head completely to himself before-he's used to sharing, much as he hates it, with Sun, then Lunar, then BloodMoon...Solar Flare, at the very least, was tolerable (he'll never say pleasant) company. His brain being completely his own, while relieving, is entirely new territory to him.

So this is Rei during the war. He has a blue tie so he was a second year at the time (card is from the Element event back in 2016)

As for how we know that Rei was held back in his second year, it's more of a detail that is inferred in some of the war era stories and not something that is explicitly stated, afaik

In Meteor Impact, during one of the scenes where Chiaki and Kanata are first years, Kanata mentions that Rei is a second year (This is from chapter 12 and you can find the translation here)

The in-game translation of Element implies that Rei was held back in his third year too. When Eichi and Tsumugi are discussing who should end up being the Five Eccentrics, they bring up Rei. They immediately compare him to the third years, saying no one else in the third years are like him, which suggests he was a former third year as well

Neither animated version of Element mentions this, so it's very easy to miss esp with the Wiki stories being taken down. Same with Meteor Impact. It's a long story about Chiaki and Kanata, not about Rei's school life. It's not exactly a detail you will immediately pick up on if you're trying to absorb the main plot points
