hey thanks!! im so so glad u like her and im so grateful people like these characters living inside my head 😭 shes one of my oldest ocs and has changed a bunch of times. i think its really neat that characters change as the times change, they change styles and keep up with trends and grow up just as ppl grow up.

shes the lead vocalist of a band (i havent stuck with a name yet its crazy) with 3 other guys, my last art of her features her and their drummer alan! ill introduce u to the rest of them soon. maybe.

aj is a hot mess, shes reckless and carefree and doesnt give a shit about u or what u think. she can be a real asshole and will push people away in the meanest way possible. A SAD LESBIAN. she would keep feelings to herself until shes in front of a microphone, where she could be a genuine version of herself.

this is crayzudhfidjfd big question im not sure if i should be answering on my public blog... HOWEVER for the press im inclined to say anyone can do anything within the limits of fiction YET im a very safe sane consensual liker (boring yeah)

I actually do! I haven't officially introduced her yet (besides this meme I did with @alypink), but she is Adler's ex-wife.

Her name is Amelia. Her fc is Patti Hansen. Also, she's super tall- when she wears heels she's taller than Adler. They were high school sweethearts. But broke it off when Adler enlisted. However, they reconnected at the CIA (most of my oc x canon are CIA I just don't think these guys get out much).

Amelia would also like me to tell everyone that she loved him deeply and never in a million years would have rejected him because of his scars. And that she's not a hoarder and wishes Russ would stop telling people that 😅

i rewatched 1.06 skin recently and the bit where the shapeshifter (as dean) went ‘because me, i know i’m a freak. and sooner or later everybody’s going to leave me’ read to me soo easily as a ‘i know im fucked up in the way i feel about the people i love [sam] and that will drive away him and dad when they find out/will drive them away by how weird and intense i am about him’. i know canon was trying to go for a more just ‘not like other people because of how they were raised’ feeling-like-a-freak for dean but that’s how it hit me.

Tbf it is pretty common for kids to get crushes on people older than them(not saying I agree that Mikuni had a crush on her when he was a kid) theres nothing wrong with people saying that.

While that does happen, i don't believe that to be the case for mikuni, especially considering her involvement in all of the terrible things both he and his mother had to endure.

But I think you mean entirely based on attitude, and I agree. She also has insane jesus allegories, even beyond the virgin birth, so they definitely share that. She's more hyperfocused on blending in with nature while he's focused on science, but he'd definitely be a favourite little meow meow of Eywa.

They also definitely share a not immediately apparent feisty nature.

Going nowhere either, but I wonder if he should be the clan's tsahik or tsahik in training... Been pondering. I'm making the whole clan inhabit an enormous canyon system, with underground caves beneath, which is where Rio and other waveriders live.

I would really like to see more fanfics about Erik and Reza. Their relationship was probably the most heartwarming and wholesome part of the book to me. It really brought out the best in Erik and it reminded me of the saying "the person you are right now is the person you would have felt safe with as a child"

What an interesting take. I think the Reza relationship is so heartbreaking and really complicated. I absolutely do NOT want to get tagged for these opinions because they are opinions within the world of this novel and are NOT meant to be taken as universal commentary on sticky social issues.

With that out of the way, I’ll say that it’s fascinating that Kay gives Erik a small boy to care for who is already doomed. You could have said that Erik was healing his inner child by caring for Reza, but what does it do to his psyche if that inner child is dying and there’s nothing he can do to stop it other than provide death? (Kay is so devastating…)

In any case, I think a lot of us gravitate towards the idea that Eriks in general are kind to/have kinship with animals and children. That Erik, because he was abused as an innocent, has a very deep and treasured soft spot for others without a voice and without protection, and that they also have an otherworldly affinity for him. Kerik has horses who follow him without a bit; Kerik has Ayesha who loves only him; Kerik has Reza. I think there is a lot to explore there in fic between the two of them, specifically because Reza is blind and specifically because Reza only has the Now and not the future. I’m not sure how much Kerik exists in the now; his trauma likely created a person who tries actively to avoid living in the now. With Reza he has no other choice. The end is always coming.
