here-

y'all get my double chocolate cookie recipe

ingredients:

butter - 113g

brown sugar - 110g

white sugar - 66g

egg - 1

vanilla - i don't measure that shit

salt - 3g

baking soda - 6g

cocoa powder - 33g

all purpose flour - 120g

chocolate chips - 180g

hazelnuts - 50g

method:

before starting anything, toast the hazelnuts and peel them and let aside to cool. they should look a nice brown colour and have a smokey taste to them but not charred.

then you take the sugars and butter and cream it together until it's all fluffy and pale with a whisk attachment

in a jaw or a bowl, you whisk the egg with vanilla

when the butter sugar mix is all creamed and pale and fluffy, slowly add the egg vanilla mix to it while the whisk is moving at the slowest speed

in a separate bowl add the flour, salt, baking sofa and cocoapower and sift it so there's no lumps left

change the whisk attachment to the hook attachment. this is IMPORTANT.

with the hook attachment moving at the slowest speed, slowly add the dry ingredients mix

when everything is a uniform and combined, add in the chocolate chips and the toasted hazelnuts from before

if you want, you can weigh each cookie or just eye-ball it out with size

put it in the fridge for a few hours before baking so it doesn't spread out too much

bake for 10 minutes at 180 C

about a week ago I reached a follower milestone (it feels unearned? it's mostly due from just being around intermittently on this hellsite over the years) but likely not going to do anything cool about it cause I'm bad at graphics, take too long to write - there is one WIP that @jomiddlemarch BETA'ed I still haven't worked on! - work/life/family general chaos.

but I hope this doesn't take away from how much I appreciate this little corner I've curated - I admire my mutuals, and treasure the conversations and joy we share as we go about our days. thanks for being here, I'm not for everyone, and it's lovely and fun that when things click, they click. ❤️
