Thank you for asking!! :D Since Vince still lives rent-free in my head 99% of the time currently, I'll answer for him xD

24. Does your muse tend to get jealous when in a relationship? Do they like it when their partner gets jealous over them?

Vince is only very rarely jealous in relationships. As much as he likes his own freedom he thinks his partner should get his own freedoms as well - it's all a matter of mutual respect and trust to him.

The only thing he gets jealous about sometimes in his relationship with Kerry is due to their busy schedules: that Kerry often gets to spend more time with his manager, studio people, etc etc in comparison to Vince (and since Vince is living on borrowed time when their relationship begins, that realization truly hurts). I guess it's less a real "someone is stealing my SO from me" kind of jealousy, but more envy and the overall situation making it difficult for them to spend more time together intially.

His partners getting jealous over him is something he's no fan of at all. When he trusts someone, he is deeply loyal. Betraying friends or a loved one's trust is one of the worst things to do in his eyes. So, if his partner is overly jealous, to him it feels like he would not trust Vince to not cheat or otherwise be illoyal. And I think Kerry is 🤏just a little bit possessive and jealous now and then (rooted in valid insecurities and experiences Kerry certainly has). Regardless it is one of their smaller recurring arguments. It gets better as time goes on and Kerry realizes he has no reason to be jealous and Vince realizes the jealousy is not from distrust but one too many traumatic losses.

D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?

Dom's always had the same appearance, for the most part! His faceclaim has never changed (which I still worry about, because I had no idea when his face showed up on pinterest that he was a.) a bit of a popular artist and b.) on tumblr, and I dread the hopefully impossible day that he'll see my icon and go "is that me???"), but in some au's we've cooked up he can look pretty different.

In his main universe, though, his hair and face and piercings have never changed. His tattoos have slightly in that he has a couple more sentimental tattoos (a matching ferret for his platonic soulmate, Keziah; a big skull beetle for his best friend/"unrequited" love/eventual partner, Tig; a kiss mark for his partner Sam; two wedding band tattoos for both Kez and Sam) than he started out with.

6. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

If they aren't flexible then Dom will break them xD sometimes solely for the purpose of being a little shit. But generally, he sees laws as very flexible, or at least thinks they should be. Like, he'd be legally married to two people if he could be, but had a ceremony for his second marriage anyway, legal or not.

pushing daisies au where shinichi has been able to revive dead animals, plants, even people since he was a child.

kudou "i can literally talk to the dead" shinichi

shinichi's parents didn’t exactly encouraged him to use this power. especially not in public. they’ve seen him revive and re-kill dead plants and animals in the same breath, it doesn’t take a detective to figure out what could happen near a human corpse.

but a young shinichi is curious, a young shinichi admired his father, and a young shinichi wanted to prove himself a detective. but most of all, a young shinichi wanted to help.

so when he saw his father struggle in solving a particular case, a young shinichi figured that maybe asking straight from the source would help give them a hint.

the complete horror in yusaku's eyes shinichi saw that day made him promise himself to never do it again.

shinichi realizes later on that reviving someone just for a clue on the whos, hows, and whys of their death only to touch them again, to basically kill them again, is sick and twisted and the realization leaves him feeling raw and dirty.

he then decides that if he’s gonna find out the truth, if he’s gonna bring justice, it’s not by making the victims suffer a second death. he will unravel the mystery not by magic but by logic.

the curious case of kuroba kaito

hakuba immediately contacts shinichi.

“he was...a friend. if i have to gather all the best detectives to catch his murderer then so be it.”

hakuba goes on to explain.

it was a kid heist. shots were fired. snipers. kaitou kid was caught on camera falling, as if he’d been shot, but he appears a minute later flying away on his glider with not a speck of blood on his suit. all should be well however, a few buildings away in an alleyway, the body of kuroba kaito is found dead. gunshots through the heart and chest.

a simple explanation would’ve been that the glider was a fake activated by kid’s assistant as a last ditch effort to save his legacy and this kuroba kaito was kaitou kid himself. he would’ve said it out loud but by the look on hakuba’s face, he can tell that he already connected those dots long before shinichi even stepped foot in the morgue. that wasn’t what hakuba called him for.

“can i...take a look at the body alone?”

hakuba raises an eye at him but moves to leave without questioning. "alright then. i have to check on another friend anyway. she's been...distraught ever since she heard the news and..." hakuba's words trail away as his eyes unconsciously drifted towards kuroba kaito's covered body. shinichi patiently waits through the quiet pain that he sees on hakuba. the pinch in his brows, the tenseness of his body. he must've been a really good friend.

hakuba shakes his head and turns his attention back to shinichi. "sorry, i...its been a long day. i'll leave you here then. call me if you find anything."

left alone, shinichi carefully zips open the body bag covering kaitou kid's upper body. he looked eerily similar to himself and imagining his own body cold and dead in the morgue sent a shiver down his spine. shaking his head, he pulls a chair close and reads through the file hakuba brought him.

"no witnesses. no camera. not a trace nor lead to anything. just some reports on mysterious gunshots in previous heists that lead to nowhere." they were professionals, whoever did this, shinichi thought. it was not going to be an easy case.

he takes another peek at the body. so this was kaitou kid, huh. too young to be the same as the one before his hiatus. perhaps a successor? motive could be related to his predecessor. his mother hasn't said anything of interest. does she really not know or is she protecting him? he runs his hand through his hair. there's too little information to go on...unless...

temptation rears its head. the source of information is right there in front of him. one touch and it could open up new leads to the case. an immediate disgust twists deep into his gut. he promised himself to never use it on people. to never kill. his father's haunted eyes embedded in his mind. he shouldn't. he really shouldn't. but he remembers the anguished look on hakuba's face. if he was going to do it, this might be the only good time. any longer and his touch would not revive kid. and gone along with him would be vital information to catch his murderer.

shinichi heaves a deep sigh. he has never used his abilities on dead people since that one incident as a child but he couldn't shake off the look on hakuba's face. it was now or never. shinichi reaches for kid's hand.

TLDR; She has whimsy in her heart despite her love of violence! (Much more detailed lore/character ramble below ^_^)

I am so glad you asked, anon! They’re the same person. Both have always been Lunara. And that’s why I’ve always enjoyed her character so much out of my main 4 characters.

Having grown up in such a violent cult-like environment, it’s only natural that she’d still have SOME remaining mindset lingering in her. Only, it’s not the cult of Lolth that she reminisces or holds on to, it’s the violence. It’s what was fun. It was what she knew.

When she escaped the Underdark, it wasn’t because she wanted to live a life of peace... It was because she wanted to live a life for herself. Now that she lives on the surface, although she can’t be AS violent as she used to be, she’s discovered SO many things she had no clue about back at home.

The moon, the sun, the stars, the sky… All the trees and fresh air… These were the things she’d only heard of vaguely through stories. But now she’s seen it for herself. And she loves them. She thinks they’re weird… but she loves them. And that fills her heart with whimsy and light.

So yeah, she may be a little creepy… violent… and perhaps a little cannibalistic! ^_^; But she is happy to have found a new world. And she only survived this all because her journey to the surface lead her to Selûne (this was an accident. She had meant to find an Eilistraee temple and landed at the wrong moon goddess’ front steps LOL but that’s a story for another day) but she is happy nonetheless… And that’s how both exist. <33

Hi! Not sure if you ever found the source for the "Strictness" Law/Onigiri strip (/post/752386761409396736), but it comes from volume 3! It immediately follows the bonus chapter where Law adopts Onigiri. It's next to another strip - I've uploaded the page to imgur (/a/bhKVocD). On a semi-related note, is the reason you split the chapters into two parts because that's how SJ+ releases them? I already buy the magazine for other reasons, would you translate them in one shot if I posted them?

Yeah, the translation is split because I only follow SJ+ updates. The entire chapter would be too long to TL at once and posting them ahead of their online release is essentially spreading spoiler, so maybe it's for the best? 😅

It'd be lovely to have access to the magazine! But you might've noticed that I'm only TLing chapters featuring Law, so I may not translate the immediate upcoming chapters. I'm down for translating more but that's too much work to do all by myself. I haven't received a request to translate more than what I do and my audience for OP Academy is niche and small, around 100 people or less lol. probably would've forced myself to churn out translations for every update if they blew up djfkdkd

If someone volunteers to letter the scans, I can join the team! I'm sure the translation would've spread further if they were lettered. Otherwise, I'll continue TLing the updates sporadically.
