[just-a-mer]

Tiresias was painfully aware of the siren's attempts of self-comfort, having seen such things before.

Odysseus' face warms at the gentle kiss. It was an action they didn't know they craved; something reassuring and grounding. "Home." Ody mirrored. The word made his chest ache in a wonderful way. To be protected and not the shield enduring arrows was a strange feeling.

The siren was able to overcome their own mind as Tiresias added to their symphony, her voice creating a beautiful duet. They didn't have to think about the god of the seas looming in every current, the men lost at sea, or the island he had been stranded upon.

Here, in this moment, his soul held him tenderly.

"Guess who?" A familiar voice calls in a sing-song tone from the river, echoing through.

Odysseus uses the echo to swim to the edge of the water without being heard and reach a hand out to gently scritch up Tiresias spine in an attempt to tickle them.

Odysseus' mind refuses to settle, though he leans into the touch with a content sigh. The siren's hair is wet, smelling of seasalt. His claws, a sharp weapon Tiresias had seen soaked in the blood of small marine life, tried to be gentle.

They are safe, Odysseus reminds himself, there is nothing to fear. He listens closely to the prophet's voice, not missing the slight stutter as she spoke. He closes his eyes, waiting only a second to start humming a soft melody; one that seemed to join hands and dance with familiarity and peace.
