hm prob kiri (formerly named val), who's honestly gone through so many changes over the years that even i feel like i'm beginning to mischaracterize him.

he used to be a flat-out villain obsessed with exposing the true 'dark side' of an individual before killing them off and putting them up for display, but i had to water him down after seeing how the bnha fandom changed over time (villain rpers were also generally avoided? at least that was the vibe i kept getting). he started becoming more of a stoic, socially awkward(?) vigilante the more i edited him, but i guess because i was still struggling to figure out how to portray him in general, he just.. ended up being an emo.. antisocial loser or.. something

Vesper has a lot of memories of sitting in uncomfortable silence on his father's boat. He grew up in a port city and his dad had an offshore boat because he liked to deep sea fish when he had free time. It wasn't glamorous, they weren't on a speedboat in a touristy area, they were on a fishing boat up in the cold, rocky north. Like Vesper, his father was very quiet and opted to keep to himself. But unlike Vesper, you could feel the indifference and the need to walk on eggshells. Vesper may be easy to anger, but he is...predictable, reasonable with it, even. He didn't mind the fishing, but they weren't necessarily fond memories, just someone trying to make fond memories. He never was obligated to go, but they barely saw each other and he kind of hoped that maybe one day his efforts to bond would be noticed. They weren't. But Vesper never discounts it as a waste of time. He did like staring into vastness and he still does carry the burden of love for the old guy.
