For me, the biggest cons with secondary blogs are:

You can't send asks via secondary blogs. If you want to, then you have to set the ask to anonymous and tag yourself with a little signature (like I did at the end of this ask) if you want to be notified when it's answered.

When you follow people, it only shows them your main blog. My writing blog technically has mutuals, but I don't show up as a mutual for them because it only shows my original blog, which basically just runs on a queue now.

When you want to block people, it will usually only do it on your main blog. If you want to block them on the secondary blogs as well, you will usually have to do that manually by typing in their username in the secondary blog's settings.

You can't change which blog is your main and which is your secondary.

💫what is your favorite kind of comment/feedback?

any kind of feedback is my favourite kind really. it can range from a tiny heart to a detailed comment, i love any and all feedback♡

🌈is there a fic that you worked *really fucking hard on* that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?

'See You Again' as a whole was one of the hardest things i ever wrote, not only because i had to make sure i pictured all the grieve and yearning right, but also because it hit really close to home. i had to dig deep into my memories to write that, and it honestly made me cry a few times haha

🦋what are you most insecure about when you post a fic?

uuuuh literally everything. what if i didn’t get the characters right? what if my prose is lacking? what is the dialogue comes across as boring? what if my descriptions don’t do the scenary in my head justice? i'm insecure about literally every aspect of my writing, yet here i am. thriving.

🍉in what ways has writing helped you process trauma and/or navigate through your own life?

writing's been an escape for me ever since i was a kid. i find myself writing whenever life gets hard, and lately i've been writing about the hard stuff too instead of avoiding them, which helps put stuff into perspective.

💘Is there any posted fic you want to rework/re-edit/re-write?

yes, the rom-com. once i finish writing it, i'll go back and re-edit it one last time.

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

all of those really. they go hand in hand

🎈describe your style as a writer; is it fixed? does it change?

it changes so often. it varies from story to story

💝what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

'Pancake and New Plans'. it was such a silly lil fic, written in literally half an hour and edited in 10 minutes, with my cat sitting on my lap (she also inspired the fic), and now it’s one of my most read fanfics. i didn’t think it'd get more than like 5 kudos, but here we are

🤍what's one fic of yours you think people didn't "get"?

'there for you', which you won’t find anywhere on the internet anymore. people were focusing so much on the romance part it, all the symbolism of it got brushed over. the whole point of the story was that even in your most desperate moments you are not alone, there are peoole who love you, it was a story about a group of desperate teenagers finding love and hope and forgiveness in each other– and all that got brushed over for the romance part and i hated it. i could write a whole essay about this lmao

💥find your least kudos'd fic - say something wonderful about it.

'Triplu A', written in collaboration with Leftie. I had so much fun writing this fic really, it’s one of my favourites. It’s also the very first aruani fic written in romanian on the whole archive!!

i love hearing back from them! i can’t say i'm expecting it, as i myself am very bad at responding to comments, but it always makes me happe when i do!

not to talk about flow again, but the thing is, a lot of people talk about independent film making and its importance etc, but it's hard to get more independent than flow this year

not only because it was made with a free and open source software anyone can use, not only because it beat competitors from major studios with an average of 3% of the budget they had, not only because it represented a country that had never won an oscar before, not only because it didn't have any star power involved, not only because it didn't come from a filmmaker with past history, not only because it was made by a small team...

but also because it's an animated movie

animators often get the short end of the stick in the entertainment industry and, for the past years, it was starting to look as if the only way to make an animated project happen was to sell your soul to a major studio and see your work transformed into what they need and how they want it marketed

especially for movies from outside the US, from non-English speaking countries, where insanely talented animators tend to be used as freelance cheap labor for major US studios or have to adapt as much as possible to fit into their market in order to find work

passion projects for animation seemed to only be reserved to the shorts category, or needed to be as high brow as humanly possible to be perceived as "high art" to be valued and, even in the spaces of the industry dedicated to the genre, the way in which awards are distributed are a poor reflection of the vast work animators do

it's major for this film to win awards, let alone the oscar, an award which is notably judged badly for animation and often prefers the marketable easy way out of voting rather than genuine interest

this movie used a resource that is open to anyone and, with good storytelling, made an oscar winning film

in a world in which art is constantly being attacked by capitalist greed, I'm happy that a movie with heart and little resources could do something like this, whether or not people care about the oscars anymore
