16. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?

Is it weirder that I've never used bookmarks? I've tried to get in the habit of using them. I even have a nice collection that I've gotten as gifts over the years but it's an exercise in futility. I've always just memorized the page numbers when I'm reading so a bookmark has always felt a bit like gilding the lily.

It felt strange to be back in her office again after so long away. Hunched over her desk again, poring over a mountain of paperwork, signing her name in what felt like a hundred places on a thousand different forms  had all the qualities of a dream that she couldn't seem to shake no matter how much time ticked away.  It wasn't just that she had been away for nearly an entire year or that she felt like a stranger in what was now to her a strange land. Both those things were true but it was the fact that she was in the process of relinquishing control over L-Corp, letting go of something that had once seemed so important to her, so vital. And yet, the only feeling she could muster was a sense of relief, knowing that the paperwork would be done soon. She wanted to laugh, feeling like a child that had lost interest in what they had only moments ago proclaimed was their favorite toy. But she feared that if she did, she might also start to cry. Beneath the irony and the relief she thought there must be sadness. In the same way that one might look at the sky and know that it must rain soon.

This is my MCU Crossover fic for reference. So, in this passage, Lena is in the process of signing over L-Corp to Lillian of all people. She's preparing to (surprise surprise) leave National City after having been stranded on Earth-616 for nearly a year. I wanted the moment to be both bittersweet and a bit freeing. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, after all. L-Corp has been this path forward to being a force for good for Lena or at the very least a wrong that she very much wanted to correct with Lex gone. Wanting to undo the damage he's done (if that's even possible) There's something so sad in the realization that something that was once so important to you just isn't anymore while at the same time relief that Lena can walk away. And that's kind of where Kara and her are at in the story at the time, too, which is just a lovely parallel. Lena thinking: I'm ready to move on, I can move on and at the same time knowing that there is a part that there will always be a part that misses Kara in some way, romantic or not.

he’s definitely one of my favs and possibly the reason it’s an in-joke in my family that i secretly own a gyrocopter.

😇 A headcanon about their religion/lack thereof for Scar!

Scar is a member of the Fae's Pantheon! I don't want to describe him as "devout" or anything, but he does follow the tenets of the Pantheon out of respect for the Fae god that created the Fae people (of which he is a part) and out of respect for his culture. This includes keeping his hair long- short hair among Elves is often considered shameful and is a symbol of separation from the Pantheon, extremely disrespectful to the Fae god. Their long hair is seen as a symbol of honor and respect to their Fae god, and this is important enough that the Fae Monarch themselves always- always- wear their hair longer than anyone else. Scar's hair is also worn longer than most other Elves', but that's less to do with his beliefs and more to do with the fact he was raised by the King.

😇 A headcanon about their religion/lack thereof for Cub!

Cub is also a member of the Fae's Pantheon! However, he is also a member of Death's Pantheon; he was born to both as half Dark Court Elf and half Vex Court Fae, the latter of whom is favored by Lady Death! He wears his hair long as all Elves do, though not nearly as long as Scar; his hair is cut to just above where his Vex wings attach to his back, so around his shoulder blades. This is pretty short for Elves but still acceptable, especially as he is a Flying Fae. When he performs any magic related to Death's Pantheon, such as create a totem, he wears robes and a veil as appropriate by the Death Pantheon's law. The robes and veil is because Lady Death wears a robe and veil, and it is their magic they are using.

❤️‍🔥 A romantic headcanon for Mumscarian!

These three flirt So Much. Poor Tubbo is now subjected to the embarrassment of his father Flirting. But I digress! These three go on a lot of dates, even if they call it "hanging out" we all know it's actually dates. Always has been and we ALL know it. They're super sweet on each other and are so so so very supportive of each other, always listening when another is speaking no matter what they're talking about. And they're all very protective of each other, possibly to an unhealthy degree- but they all love it. They'll pretty much spend all their free time together, even if that just means casually sitting in the same room while doing completely different things. And they're getting better at communicating <3

Housewarming Party in the Hamptons 🥂

Valerie and Robert hosted a delightful housewarming party to celebrate their new home in the Hamptons. The gathering was intimate, with close family and friends filling the backyard of their Long Island property.

Among the guests were Valerie's parents and sister, who made the trip all the way from Vermont to join in the festivities. The afternoon was filled with conversation, laughter, and quite a few glasses of champagne, marking a beautiful beginning of the couple's new chapter in the Hamptons.
